"The Friendship Cup is definitely wrong" Yuzu recaps. "But I still couldn't do anything about it" She laments. "Tsukikage should've been Underground, but he appeared." Yuzu said. "It turned out Reiji Akaba sent Tsukikage Underground on purpose to collect information" She states. "Tsukikage delivered a message from Reira" Yuzu said. "We came here to save the world" Reira states, and Tsukikage stands up. "But no one in the dimension believes that" Reira points out. "They don't recognize the Lancers' strength" He states. "You have to defeat Jack. Then they'll recognize us" Reira says as he turns around. "I'll win with my Dueling! Yuya vows. "And I'll bring smiles back to the faces of everyone in the City!" She swears.
As Yuzu continues to look "The final Duel of the first round!" Melissa announces, which got Yuzu's attention. "Our challengers are…Shun Kurosaki!" Mellissa announces. The crowd gave a big cheer. "And his opponent, Dennis MacField!" Melissa announces. Dennis smiles, while Kurosaki remembers his last Duel with Dennis.

Kurosaki drops back beside Dennis "Are you really from LDS?!" He asks Dennis. "Of course!" Dennis replies. "Why do you ask?" He asks.

"Back then, he showed his combat techniques" Kurosaki said. "That's definitely something you learn at LDS" He muses. "He's probably thinking something like that" Dennis comments to himself. "I'll make sure to destroy you this time. Bit by bit" He declares. "Kurosaki and Dennis?" Yuzu surprised. "They're both Lancers, so why?" She confuses. "To cause internal conflict?" Yuzu wonders.
In the Capital Building "You may not be pleased with this match but…" Gael explains. "This match is quite noteworthy to us" Bordeaux explains. "Chairman" He inquires. "Yes" White Taki agrees. "I'm not displeased" Reiji replies. "I find this match compelling as well" He states. Reiji then push his glasses.
Kurosaki enters the Duel Palaces on his D-Wheel. "Go, Kurosaki!" A Commons man cheers. "Go for number one here too!" The man shouts. "The defunct Underground Arena's strongest and most popular-Kurosaki!" Melissa narrates. "And the talk of the town after his performance in Central Park-the entertainer, Dennis!" She describes Dennis, who enters next. "He's cuter in person!" A woman said. All the other woman squeals. "I'll bring a dazzling illusion to the citizens of the City overflowing with friendship!" Dennis declares as he waves to the crowd. He tosses three cards into the air "It's showtime!" Dennis declares causing the cards to explode into fireworks that take the shape of his Performage Trapeze Magician and the crowd cheers. "Their Duel may just be a match worthy of wrapping up the Friendship Cup's first round!" Melissa declares. "You can't say you're not looking forward to this!" She declares. "You just can't!" Melissa exclaims. "How will this Duel develop?" She wonders. "I'm shaking with excitement!" Melissa claims. Kurosaki and Dennis reach the starting line "We're fighting ever though we're comrades, but let's do our best!" Dennis tells Kurosaki. "Let's this Duel prove whether or not we're really comrades" Kurosaki comments. "You're so cold" Dennis comments. "Now, let's get on with it! Action Field: On!" Melissa announces. "Field Spell: Crossover Acceleration!" She declares. The purple light saturates the field, and the Action Cards dispers "Duel Mode On! Autopilot: Standby" Both D-Wheel's states. Holographic starting board appears and begins counting down. "Riding Duel, Acceleration!" Melissa declares and Kurosaki and Dennis starts off "Duel!" Both of them declares.
Dennis was in the lead. "I'll expose your true colours!" Kurosaki declares and he accelerates to take the first corner "He pulled ahead! Kurosaki takes the first corner!" Melissa narrates. "The first turn is his!" She declares. "I Summon Raidraptor - Skull Eagle from my hand!" Kurosaki declares (ATK: 1000). "And I activate the Spell Card: Raidraptor – Call!" He shouts. "Next, I Special Summon a monster with the same name from my Deck!" Kurosaki states, and Summons another Skull Eagle (ATK: 1000). "I Overlay the two Skull Eagles!" He declares. "Xyz Summon! Appear!" Kurosaki shouts. "Rank 3! Raidraptor - Fiend Eagle!" He declares (ATK: 1000). "The monarch of the Underground Xyz Summoned in an instant!" Melissa declares. "I activate the monster effect of both Skull Eagles as Xyz Material!" Kurosaki declares. "Fiend Eagle's ATK increase by 300 for each one!" He explains (Fiend Eagle's ATK: 1600). "Next, I activate Fiend Eagle's Monster Effect!" Kurosaki declares. "I use one Overlay Unit and deal damage to my opponent equal to the ATK of a monster on my Field!" He explains and he chooses Fiend Eagle itself. Fiend Eagle creates a shadow of purple light, which hits Dennis. "Dennis is already taking huge damage!" Melissa exclaims (Dennis's LP: 2400). "You're going with that again?" Dennis asks Kurosaki. "What do you mean, again?" Kurosaki asks. "My discerning magic!" Dennis declares. "There's a Rank-Up Magic in your hand right now" He snaps his fingers.

"I activate the Spell Card: Rank-Up-Magic Raid Force from my hand!" Kurosaki declares.

"Just like last time, you'll activate it next turn to Summon a high-Rank monster" Dennis comments. Kurosaki looks at his hand, where there is indeed a Rank-Up-Magic Spell Card: Rank-Up-Magic Doom Double Force. "Sounds like he hit the mark" A girl in the crowd states. "He's pretty amazing!" A man in the crowd calls Dennis. "Please see though my heart too!" Another girl in the crowd asks Dennis, prompting everyone else to look at her. "You shouldn't use a predictable hand!" Dennis chides Kurosaki. "You'll bring down the show's mode" He states. "You bastard" Kurosaki insults Dennis. "An entertainment show has to be full of surprises!" Dennis claims. "You plan to discourage your enemy and gain the upper hand" Kurosaki smirks, commenting. "LSD doesn't teach that tactic" He points out. "Is that a compliment?" Dennis asks in confusion. "I set two cards face-down and end my turn" Kurosaki states.
"My turn, draw!" Dennis declares. "Ah, it's this…" He tuts to himself as he laments internally at the sight of his Polymerization. Kurosaki narrows his eyes. "What do you want me to do? Seriously" Dennis asks the card. "Alright. After my discerning magic is the biggest trick of the century!" Dennis declares as he adds the card to his hand and snaps his fingers. Fiend Eagle loses its other Overlay Unit "Fiend Eagle's Overlay Units!" Kurosaki surprise. Dennis yodels quietly "Isn't that Performage Cup Tricker?" He asks (ATK: 1200). Cup Tricker was holding the Overlay Unit, and it puts it beneath a cup, shifts it around, and gasps happily as it reveals that the cup is empty. "Just kidding" Dennis reassures Kurosaki. "By using an Overlay Unit from one Xyz Monster on the Field, I can Special Summon Cup Tricker from my hand" He explains. "Using my monster's Overlay Unit…" Kurosaki comments. "Such clownish antics" He calls Dennis. "But that's not all" Dennis states. "The target monster, Fiend Eagle, loses 600 ATK" He adds (Fiend Eagle's ATK: 1000). "Damn it" Kurosaki curse. "Next up is the Spell Card: Magical Pendulum Box" Dennis declares. "With its effect, I can draw two cards from my Deck!" He explains. "If they're Pendulum Monsters, I can add them to my hand" Dennis states as she draws two cards. "Anything else is sent to the Graveyard" He says. He draws Performage Overlay Juggler and Performage Bonus Dealer "WOW!" Dennis exclaims. "Both Pendulum!" He shouts.
The Magical Pendulum Box card lets out a fanfare of victory "I, using the Scale 3 Performage Performage Bonus Dealer and the Scale 6 Performage Overlay Juggler, set the Pendulum Scale!" Dennis declares. "With this, I can Summon Level 4 to 5 monsters at the same time!" He states. "Pendulum Summon!" Dennis declares. "Appear, my Performages!" He calls out. "First up is Performage Wind Drainer!" Dennis declares (ATK: 2100). "Next, Performage Wing Sandwichman!" He states (ATK: 1800). "And last but not least, Performage Ball Balancer!" Dennis finish (ATK: 1000). "Dennis has Pendulum Summoned beautifully, just like in his street performance!" Melissa narrates. "Three Level 5…" Kurosaki notes. "You plan to Xyz Summon?" He asks Dennis. "Don't fret now. The show's just beginning" Dennis replies. "I activate Bonus Dealer's Pendulum effect!" He declares. "When I Pendulum Summon three or more Performaga from my hand, I draw two cards!" He explains. He draws Performage Magic Tactician and Performage Fire Dancer "I Normal Summon Performage Fire Dancer!" Dennis states (ATK: 1400). "I Overlay the Level 4 Ball Balancer and Fire Dancer" He declares. "The Show must go on! Artisan of the air, swing across the stage with grace! Xyz Summon! Come forth, Rank 4! Performage Trapeze Magician!" Dennis chants (ATK: 2500). "This is amazing! Dennis also Xyz Summoned!" Melissa narrates. "The very first Xyz showdown in Friendship Cup history!" She exclaims. "A red-hot development worthy of the first round finale!" Melissa calls it. "If you keep this up, you'll pull the same trick as last time" Kurosaki observes. "How about revealing who you really are now?" He suggests. "Don't worry, my show's still going on!" Dennis reassures Kurosaki. "I Overlay the Level 5 Cup Tricker, Wind Drainer and Wing Sandwichman!" He declares. "Descend, hell's artist! Xyz Summon! Rank 5! Performage Shadow Maker!" Dennis chants (ATK: 2600).
"With Shadow Maker as the target, I activate Trapeze Magician's Monster Effect!" He declares. "I use one Overlay Unit so that Shadow Maker can attack twice in this turn!" Dennis explains. "Shadow Maker is targeted for an effect, so I activate its effect!" He declares. "I use one Overlay Unit and Special Summon a second Shadow Maker from my Extra Deck!" He explains. The second Shadow Maker appears from the extended shadow of the first (ATK: 2600). "I activate the Monster Effect of Cup Tricker, which was used as an Overlay Unit and sent to the Graveyard" Dennis declares. "With its effect, I can detach one Overlay Unit from an Xyz Monster on the Field and attach it to another!" He explains. He detaches an Overlay Unit from the Shadow Maker that he Xyz Summoned and attaches it to the newly Summoned one. "Next, I use Trapeze Magician's remaining Overlay Unit and give my second Shadow the ability to attack twice!" Dennis declares. "I use my second Shadow Maker's Overlay Unit and Special Summon my third Shadow Maker!" He reveals. "What's this! Dennis has four Xyz Monsters on his Field!" Melissa narrates (ATK: 2600). "What's more, two of them can attack twice!" He states. "The sum of their ATK is… um…" Melissa gets flustered over the math. "15500?!" She shocked. "Battle! I attack Fiend Eagle with Trapeze Magician!" Dennis declares. Trapeze Magician swings on its staff and kicks Fiend Eagle, destroying it (Kurosaki's LP: 2500).
"I activate a Continuous Trap and target Trapeze Magician!" Kurosaki declares. "Raidraptor - Target Flag!" He yells out. The Raidraptor crest appears on Trapeze Magician's mask "I draw one card and reveal it" Kurosaki explains. "The card is Raidraptor - Last Strix. A Monster Card" He reveals. Dennis gasps. "When the targeted Trapeze Magician leaves the field, I destroy Target Flag and then check your hand" Kurosaki states. Dennis looks at the Polymerization in his hand. "If you have the same card type-a Monster Card-in your hand, it's destroyed and sent to the Graveyard" Kurosaki further explains. "Even if you do that, I'm taking out your LP here anyway" Dennis notes. "My Battle Phase still resumes!" He proclaims. "I activate the Quick-Play Spell: Rank-Up-Magic Doom Double Force!" Kurosaki declares. "I Special Summon the destroyed Rank 3 Fiend Eagle…" Kurosaki explains (ATK: 1000). "…and Overly!" He declares. "I Special Summon a Raidraptor that's double its Rank!" Kurosaki states. "Prideful falcon, spread your wings dyed in the blood of heroes! Advance through the path of revolution! Rank Up! Xyz Change! Come forth! Rank 6! Raidraptor - Revolution Falcon!" He chants (ATK: 2000).
"Impressive! An Xyz Summon with a destroyed monster!" Melissa calls it. "I activate its monster effect!" Kurosaki declares. "When Revolution Falcon is Ranked-Up with a "Raidraptor" as material, I can destroy one of my opponent's Special Summoned monsters" He explains. "You take damage equal to half of that monster's ATK!" Kurosaki states. "Reveal his true colours with your revolutionary flames!" He orders Revolution Falcon. "Destroy Trapeze Magician!" Kurosaki tells it. Revolution Falcon opens a port on its base and concentrates a fireball from it before descending towards Trapeze Magician. "That's not good. Trapeze Magician is the symbol of my show" Dennis comments. "I active the effect of Performage Magic Tactician in my hand!" He declares. "When a monster on my field is targeted by an effect, I send that card and another on my field to the Graveyard" Dennis explains as sends one of his Shadow Makers to the Graveyard and changed the target to another Shadow Maker, which burns in the flames. "Shadow Maker was destroyed, but I don't take damage thanks to Trapeze Magician's effect!" Dennis explains. He sighs in relief "I managed to protect Trapeze Magician somehow" He murmurs, Trapeze Magician laughs sinisterly. "I end my turn here" Dennis states. "Now even your Special Summoned monsters will miss since Revolution Falcon's effect reduces their ATK to zero" He notes. Kurosaki scoffs and he turns away. In his room "What's with this duel…" Yuya asks. "Reveal his true colours?" Yuzu confuse. "What does Kurosaki mean by his true colour?" she wonders. Reiji and Roger watch intently. Dennis drives up beside Kurosaki "How long do you plan to hide your true colours?" Kurosaki asks Dennis. "What true colours?" Dennis asks. "My show doesn't have tricks like that" He states. Trapeze Magician laughs.
Accelerating around a corner "My turn!" Kurosaki declares and draws. "I activate Revolution Falcon's effect!" He declares as he adds the card to his hand. "I use one Overlay Unit and attack all my opponent's monsters!" Kurosaki explains. Revolution Falcon absorbs its Overlay Unit and spirals into the sky "Battle!" He declares. "First, destroy Trapeze Magician" He orders Revolution Falcon. "I said that's no good!" Dennis comments and he accelerates to snatch up an Action Card. Revolution Falcon opens its hatches "Revolutional Air Raid!" Kurosaki orders and it drops bombs from the sky. "Action Spell: Battle Change!" Dennis declares. "During my opponent's Battle Phase, I can choose their battle target!" He explains. "What did you say?" Kurosaki shocked. "I switch Revolution Falcon's attack target from Trapeze Magician to Shadow Maker!" Dennis declares. "As you know, when Revolution Falcon battles a Special Summoned monster, that monster's ATK and DEF are reduce to zero" Kurosaki reminds Dennis. Revolution Falcon blasts flames from its turbines reducing the ATK of Shadow Maker to zero. (Shadow Maker's ATK: 0). The bombs fall…but Shadow Maker transforms into an Overlay Unit and the bombs explode on the track. Kurosaki gasps in shock. "Too bad" Dennis comments. "I used Shadow Maker as one of Trapeze Magician's Overlay Unit with Overlay Juggler's Pendulum Effect. "That's just a temporary measure!" Kurosaki calls it as Yuzu watches. "Did you forget that I can attack all my enemies?!" Kurosaki asks Dennis. Revolution Falcon blasts more flames from its turbines that reduce the ATK of Trapeze Magician to zero (Trapeze Magician's ATK: 0). "Go, Revolution Falcon! Attack Trapeze Magician!" Kurosaki orders. "Revolutional Air Raid!" He declares and Revolution Falcon drops a second payload. "This Duel is just like…" Yuzu begins to realize that the Duel is familiar. "I don't plan on enjoying any show with you!" Kurosaki declares. "To me, this is a battlefield!" He states. Yuzu gasps as she remembers.

"It's just like back then…" Yuzu gasps.
Dennis reaches for an Action Card, but Kurosaki decelerates and blocks him from getting the card. Trapeze Magician dives for the card itself, but the bombs hit, blasting the Spellcaster into the air and destroying it. "Trapeze Magician!" Dennis screams his monster's name as its mask hits the ground and dissolves, the fragments floating back to Dennis. "Dennis's ace monster, Trapeze Magician, is finally destroyed!" Melissa states. "Now Dennis's LP is…" She said. But Dennis's LP doesn't change "Huh?" Melissa confuses. "His monster was destroyed in ATK mode, but his LP is still intact?" She surprised. "Why?!" Kurosaki surprised. "I activated the Action Spell: Damage Banish" Dennis sadly explains.

"Trapeze Magician gave it to me in it last moments…" He states.

"This card reduces battle damage to zero" Dennis explains. "It only works once though" He states. "You hung in by the skin of your teeth" Kurosaki observes. "But your show's over!" He states. "I activate the effect the effect of the Continuous Trap: Target Flag!" Kurosaki declares. "When Trapeze Magician leaves the field, Target Flag is destroyed!" He states. "And my opponent reveals his hand!" Kurosaki adds.
Dennis frowns "Now, show us! Your true colours!" Kurosaki tells Dennis. "Is this what you wanted to see?" Dennis asks Kurosaki as he holds up the Polymerization card. "Polymerization…" Roger muses. "I knew it" Kurosaki mutters. "Go ahead and use that card!" He tells Dennis. "I set two cards face-down and end my turn!" Kurosaki declares.
Time to show you my ultimate entertainment" Dennis comments. He returns Polymerization to his Wrist Dealer "My turn…draw!" Dennis darkly declares and draws a card. He's drawn the Spell Card Chaos Ancient Gear Fusion "I activate the Spell Card: Ancient Gear Fusion!" Dennis declares. "I send that Polymerization to the Graveyard and banish Xyz monsters in my Graveyard equal to the number of Fusion Summon materials I need!" He explains as hi discarded Polymerization and removes Trapeze Magician and his three Shadow Makers from his Graveyard. "Next, I negate the effects and Summon conditions of the Fusion material in my Deck and Extra Deck, and Special Summon!" Dennis explains. "Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!" He declares. "Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!" Dennis exclaims. "Triple Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!" He proclaims. "Ultimate Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!" Dennis finished calling out. "I Special Summon all four Ancient Gear monsters!" He declares (ATK: 1000) (ATK: 1400). (ATK: 1800) (ATK: 2800). "Ancient Gear…" Yuzu shocked to see Ancient Gear monsters. "That bastard…" Yuri rudely mutters.
"I fuse all four Ancient Gears!" Dennis declares. "Mechanized hound dogs that inherit the ancient soul! Merge those ten heads, unleash chaos and become tremendous strength! Fusion Summon! Appear now! Level 10! Chaos Ancient Gear Giant!" He chants (ATK: 4500). The gigantic Fusion Monster appears in the sky "I-It's enormous!" Melissa gasps. "W…W-What on earth is that?!" She asks. "He Summoned such a huge monster!" Yuya shocked. "This is…" Kurosaki looks back, recognizing the monster from the Invasion of Xyz Dimension.

Multiple Chaos Giants marched through the burning city, and Kurosaki himself fled from them.

"Looks like you've seen it before" Dennis comments. "You are from Academia!" Kurosaki snaps. Yuzu, Yuya, Yuri and Reira were all shocked. "What does this mean? Care to explains?" Gael asks Reiji. "Explains? And what do you expect me to say?" Reiji asks the Executive Council. "Academia is your enemy, right?" Bordeaux points out. "Why is that enemy with you?!" He questions. "I considered the possibility that our enemy wormed its way into the Lancers" Reiji replies. "But what about you?" He asks the Executive Council. "The monster Dennis Summoned is a Level 10!" Melissa exclaims as Roger watches. "A gigantic monster with 4500 ATK!" She states.
"Now, let the hunting game begin" Dennis coldly tells Kurosaki as he smiles.
