CHAPTER 27
Nathan fell asleep again with his wife in his arms; the gentle breathing on his chest made him relax more and more.
He hadn't rested so well for many years. The scent of washing coming from that hair intoxicated him, making him have beautiful dreams about his family. It was magnificent, that expression... family, my family. He was now the father of two beautiful children and had a beautiful wife. Together, they were going to solve all the problems, one by one, until there was nothing left to bother them.
Elizabeth turned her body, nestling into his arms. She needed to stay completely still, he didn't want her to feel bad about being together like this. But it was a temptation, and in the end he couldn't resist lying down beside her, holding her in his arms through the night. For two long years, he had loved that woman and had sometimes fought for her love, even if he didn't know how to express it, he had tried... and now he had her in his arms in the same bed, her body close to his, her breath on his body, and it drove him crazy. But it would all be in time. For now, he was going to enjoy every second of his wife being there. He felt like a drunk at that moment, his mind was half asleep and half enjoying that pleasure, and that's when the door opened... Nathan, with his eyes closed, became alert. He felt little Jack's laughter and heard his footsteps running, and Alien running after him... The boy got close to the bed and pluf...

He took a huge leap. Alien tried to catch it. But she couldn't, because that act caught her off guard. Who would have thought that he would jump on the bed like that?
Nathan, as agile as he was, even lying down with Elizabeth in his arms, managed to catch the boy in the air with one of his huge hands before he hit his mother. The little boy was laughing, while Alien and Nathan were pale and petrified, because they knew the consequences if he fell on his mother, who was still recovering.
But then Elizabeth opened her eyes and smiled at her son;
- Good morning to you too, my little Jack. And raising her hands, she helped Nathan down. Nathan didn't let her carry him, but placed the little one on his own chest, where he could hold him with one arm without having to let go of his wife. If the children missed her, he missed her twice as much.
He explained to little Jack that his mother was ill and that he couldn't jump on her like that.
Alien hugged Elizabeth and cried with emotion. She called her mother for the first time and Elizabeth practically melted when she heard those words.
The children went to change, while he explained the routine he had put in place in the house, and explained that he remembered many things she had already said or shown, so he was able to take care of the children. He talked about all his friends, their help and understanding. She turned red and wanted to know who was bathing her, and that's when I had to tell her that it was Faith and Rose, but that on the day of the surgery it was Carson and I who had to change her because she was bleeding so much. Her face was all red, she had never felt so ashamed and Nathan was no different from her either, but he said:
