Sherlock and John stay up talking about their pasts. John talks about the war and Sherlock talks about the two years he was away. Sherlock surprises John and himself by getting quite upset about it.

It's the case of the Detective and the Pathologist, and it takes nearly twenty years for Sherlock to finally solve it. The results bring him both peace and happiness, but in a life like his, are happy ever afters even possible? Warning, character death. Very sad. Rated hard T for some language.
