Spyro and Cynder rested one of the islands of the Academy. Spyro held his arm and wing around Cynder as she nuzzled her head against his chest.

Spyro: "This is great, isn't it?"-asked Spyro, happy-"Just you, me and the sunset."

Cynder: "I couldn't want it any other way."-said Cynder, happy

the two stayed like that as the sun continued to descend downward. As the colors in the sky turned from blue to red and shades of orange Spyro and Cynder remained content. Cynder then thought of something and looked up toward Spyro as they stayed there.

Cynder: "Spyro, there's something I have to tell you."-said Cynder, regretfully

Spyro: "What is it?"

Cynder: "A piece of the cube, I know where it is."-said Cynder, seriously-"It's in the Cadaverous Crypts, my father used to keep it for in case he ever found the others."

Spyro: "Well this is great. Now that Malefor is gone we can just go get it."-said Spyro, excited-"And hey, I promise it's all okay."

Spyro then lores his head and kissed Cynder on her head, returning her content feeling. Cynder once again nuzzled against Spyro and they continued to watch the sunset.

Intro: Harmony

Later that night, Cynder was waking up from her bed and looking around. Once she was sure the rest of her team was still asleep she crept out of the house and onto the grounds. She then moved quickly and took off into the skies.

???: "Where are you going?"

Cynder whirled around to find Spyro and Sparx flying behind her.

Cynder: "Oh I was just uhh..."

Spyro: "Your going to the Cadaverous Crypt, aren't you?"-asked Spyro, unamused-"Cynder you can't go alone."

Cynder: "Spyro I don't want to risk anyone's life. The Cadaverous Crypt is just too dangerous."-Cynder defended-"I have to go."

Spyro: "Well if your going then I'm going."-said Spyro, stubbornly-"Malefor's gone now, the Cadaverous Crypt isn't as dangerous as it used to be."

Cynder: "I know but..."

Sparx: "No 'buts' we're going!"-said Sparx, stubbornly

???: "So are we!"

They then look to see Spotlight and Blackout, who seemed to be watching from the nearby island.

Spotlight: "You'll need all the backup you can get."

Cynder sighed in defeated but was pleased that her friends were willing to help. The dragons then take flight and move across the clouds and away from Skylands. They were now on their journey to Cynder's birthplace, the Cadaverous Crypt.

In the Cadaverous Crypt, Dark Spyro standing by a withered tree. They looked to one another in a near-argument.

Kaos: "Are you sure there's a piece in the Cadaverous Crypt?"-asked Kaos, tired

Dark Spyro: "I worked for Malefor before. Of course I'm sure."-Dark Spyro reminded-"I saw him with it just before he sent me to recruit all of you.

Kaos: "Well it's nowhere to be seen."-Kaos complained-"It's definitely not still here. It could have been stolen or..."

Kaos and cut off as Dark Spyro grabbed him by his collar and pinned him to the tree. Dark Spyro then held his face close to Kaos with a glare.

Dark Spyro: "I know what I saw. I know it's here."-said Dark Spyro, menacingly-"Now quit complaining and keep looking.

Dark Spyro then drops Kaos and flies in one direction. Kaos gets up and scowls in frustration as he also continues to look. The two then continue their search for the piece of the cube.

The dragon Skylanders then take off and make an arrival at the Cadaverous Crypt. The crypt was now relatively less scary now. Now that Malefor was gone the Cadaverous Crypt seemed like nothing more than a haunted corn maze. Regardless of the less scary atmosphere the Skylanders did not want to stay longer than needed. Spyro then turned to the others and stood front and center.

Spyro: "Okay now remember we have to find that piece."-Spyro reminded-"Now there are still undead here so we better think fast."

Spotlight: "Oh that won't be a problem."-said Spotlight, terrified-"This place gives me the heebie jeebies."

Blackout: "Well I for one have no problems."-said Blackout, confident-"This place reminds me of home."

Spyro rolled his eyes at the dark dragon's remark before turning to look over the barren lands. The Skylanders then all swoop down split into teams of two.

The first team consisting of Spyro, Cynder and Sparx take off first and search a part. They then searched around with Spyro and Sparx searching under various rocks while Cynder checked inside a hollowed dead tree. They search but did not find any sign of the piece.

Spyro: "Did you find anything?"-asked Spyro, curiously

Cynder: "No!"-said Cynder, irritated-"You?"

Spyro: "Nothing!"

The group then move and once again meet in the middle of the island. Cynder then became frustrated and punched the ground in fury.

Cynder: "I just don't get it!"-said Cynder, annoyed-"It's not like it could have just disappeared."

???: "Oh it didn't."

They then feel an arrow barely miss their heads as they move to the side. They then look to see a group of skeletons with bows and two living suits of armor. They then seen a small goblin standing at the front of them.

Spyro: "Who are you?"-asked Spyro, ready to fight

???: "It doesn't matter you I am."-said the goblin, angrily-"What matters is that she is coming with me."

Cynder: "Never!"

Cynder blasts a bolt of lightning to the goblin who summons a shield that blocks the hit. The goblin then manifests a fireball in his hand and fires it towards the dragons which is followed by a volley of arrows from the skeletons. Cynder turns into her shadow form and swoops towards the group only to be caught by a sudden force from the goblin's magic. Spyro was fighting the living armor before he too was caught in a magical force. The group then laughed as they brought the Skylanders with them.

Spotlight and Blackout meanwhile searched another part of the Cadaverous Crypt. Unfortunately they found nothing. The two then regrouped near the bottom of a tree.

Blackout: "How could this be?"-asked Blackout, annoyed-"How can we not find that stupid cube!?"

Spotlight: "I know it's ridiculous!"-said Spotlight, equally annoyed-"It can't be this hard to find."

Suddenly the two notice a sword coming down between them. As they dodge they notice a large suit of armor accompanied by more and walking towards them. The two then get into a battle stance.

Blackout: "Looks like we've got some company."

The two then go and charge up into battle against the living armor. Spotlight first sends her halos to where they take out numerous armor before Blackout gets in and begins dealing damage. They seem to be doing good before the armor overpowers them. They are then left pinned down and are caught by the armor which then knocks them both out.

Spyro groggily woke up to find himself locked in a prison cell. He flew up to the bars and began shaking the bars in a vain attempt to open the cage but to no avail. Spyro then turns and notices Cynder stirring on the ground, Spotlight and Blackout were there too. He then flew to Cynder and held her as she woke up.

Cynder: "Spyro?"

Spyro: "Shh. Shh. I'm here, Cynder."-Spyro assured-"I'm here."

Cynder then could not help but nuzzle her head into the crook of Spyro's shoulder. Spotlight and Blackout then tentatively woke up and looked to where they were.

Spotlight: "Where are we?"-asked Spotlight, nervous

???: "Your in your new home of course."

They then look to see a skeleton with green flames in place of his eyes and a black cloak with a silver chain around him. The skeleton then leaned down against the cell and gave a malicious glare.

???: "Nice to see you again, Cynder."

Cynder: "Alcidore."-Cynder snarled

Spyro: "You know this guy?"-asked Spyro, confused

Alcidore: "Of course she does."-said Alcidore, sickeningly-"You see I was Lord Malefor's greatest ally before...you defeated him."

Cynder: "What do you want, Alcidore?"-asked Cynder, menacingly-"Where have you brought us."

Alcidore: "To answer your question your in the Creepy Citadel of course, my new ruling abode."-Alcidore explained-"As to what I want, I want what any undead wants, to be the new ruler of the undead. In all honesty with you having bested Malefor you opened my path to the throne. I should be thanking you."

Cynder: "Well it seems your off to a good start."-said Cynder, uninterested-"So what does that have to do with us?"

Alcidore: "Well you see you Cynder we're Malefor's heir and while I have managed to sway many undead to my side, as long as you live I will never be the true king of the undead."-Alcidore explained, sadly"-But I will change all that. I will perform a ritual that will take you off this world a strip you of all power. You will then be unworthy and the Cadaverous Crypt and the undead will be mine to rule."

Cynder: "You can have it, Alcidore!"-said Cynder, angrily-"I don't even want to rule the undead!"

Alcidore: "Oh my dear, if only it worked like that."-said Alcidore, calmly-"Take her away."

Two shadow knights then burst into the cell and grabbed hold of Cynder. Spyro attempted to fly after her but Alcidore hit him I. The chest with a green fireball as the cel closed. They only watched as Cynder was dragged away to a terrible fate.

Kaos and Dark Spyro flew for what felt like ages before reaching their location, the Creepy Citadel. They arrived at the gates and were met by a short goblin and many shadow knights.

Dark Spyro: "Gekkor, long time no see."-said Dark Spyro, friendly-"How's it been."

Gekkor: "Quiet hood, actually."-said Gekkor, happy-"We finally have what we need."

Dark Spyro: "Good to hear."-said Dark Spyro, impressed-"Now about the said piece."

The group then walked into the castle of the Creepy Citadel. Upon arrival Gekkor opened a chest and revealed a small piece of the cube. He then handed the cube to Dark Spyro who looked it over.

Gekkor: "There you go. As promised."-said Gekkor, happy-"Now if you'll excuse me I have a ritual to attend."

Dark Spyro: "Wait."-said Datk Spyro, rushed-"We'd like to attend."

Kaos: "What?"

Dark Spyro turned and gave Kaos a threatening snarl. Gekkor then nodded and led the three towards the top of the citadel.

Spyro continued to knock on the bars of their cell in a frantic attempt to break out. Spotlight and Blackout remained behind him, still feeling depressed and unwilling to join Spyro.

Blackout: "Save your strength, Spyro."-said Blackout, broken-"We're not getting out of here."

Spyro: "Well we can't just give up!"-said Spyro, angrily-"The Skylands still needs us! Cynder..."

Spotlight: "Might be a lost cause! And the Skylands will still have the others."-said Spotlight, depressed-"All we can do is wait here and embrace the end."

Spyro then fell to his stomach in a manner just as broken as the other too. They then hear a sound of blasting fire and falling foes. They then hear the jangle of keys and see Spyro zip into the dungeon with the keys in his hands.

Spyro: "Sparx? You came back!"

Sparx: "Of course I came back."-said Sparx, confident-"Now let's get you out of here."

Sparx then inserted the key and pulled the cell door wide open. Almost instantly Spyro takes off and flies out past Sparx and the many unconscious guards.

Spyro: "Come on! We can still save Cynder!"

Cynder was brought to the very top of the citadel and placed in the center of of the shrine. Alcidore then stood at the front with outstretched arms. Gekkor stood their with two more goblins behind him, one holding a scroll and the other holding some kind of crown that seemed to be made of daggers of some kind.

Gekkor: "Let the ritual begin."

Gekkor takes the scroll and begins reading off of the paper. He speaks the incantation and an acid-green aura appears around Alcidore while a lavender aura appears around Cynder. They float in the air and a stream flows from Cynder's mouth and into Alcidore's hands. Slowly. Cynder's eyes begin to close before a sudden fireball strikes the scroll. The auras disappear and Cynder and Alcidore fall to the ground. The other Skylanders arrive and fly over to Vynder while Gekkor runs to Alcidore.

Spyro: "Cynder are you okay?"-asked Spyro, concerned

Cynder then looks up and notices that it was Spyro gripping her paw and smiled at him.

Cynder: "I'm okay."

Gekkor: "Are you alright, master?"

Alcidore: "I'm fine you dunce!"-said Alcidore, furiously-"Get them!"

The many undead show up and begin to fight against the Skylanders. Kaos and Dark Spyro also get into a battle stance, prompting the Skylanders to do the same. The skeletons fired arrows which the dragons flew through the air and dodged. Spyro was quick to dive at Dark Spyro and Kaos who he begins to fight. As Cynder battles the shadow knights she feels a green lightning bolt move past her body. Cynder then turns to see Alcidore readying to battle her. Cynder fires a bolt of lightning that is countered by another green one from Alcidore. Cynder then turns into her shadow form and zooms behind the skeleton. As Spyro battles Dark Spyro he is hit in the back by a lightning bolt and Kaos and Dark Spyro fly off the edge of the tower. After this Spyro readied to stop them but saw Cynder knocked to the ground by Alcidore, he quickly dove towards Cynder and pulled away from a green fireball from Alcidore. The four Skylanders and Sparx then seen an opportunity and dove off the tower and flew away.

Gekkor: "Master we can still stop them!"

Alcidore: "No let them leave."-said Alcidore, calmly-"I have what I need, I am now king of the Cadaverous Crypt."

Alcidore then took the crown from the skeleton and placed it on the top of his head. He then travels down to a darkened throne room in the citadel. Alcidore then sits on the throne and looks over the long hallways and begins his new rule.

Dark Spyro and Kaos then arrive at the flying castle in one room. They arrive and pick up what much of the cube they have found.

Kaos: "Why did you want to stay for that boring ritual?"-asked Kaos, annoyed-"We almost got thrashed!"

Dark Spyro: "Who cares? We have the piece!"-said Dark Spyro, sinisterly-"Now there's just two more left to go."

Dark Spyro then takes the piece and placed it with the other seven, now only leaving a small corner missing. He and Kaos then look at it and exchange evil looks at the near-finished cube.
