Chapter 25: Concern for the future.
A completely desolate wasteland. That was what welcome the heroes of LINK VRAINS and their Ignis partners as they arrived in the Cyberse World. After all the hardships, battles and emotional struggles they've gone through to come here and reunite their partners with their friends, this is what awaited them as they arrived in the Ignis' home.
White Dragon Mask, Playmaker, Black Rose Dragon Mask, Purple Night, Green Witch, Lunalight Dancer, Music Singer and Pink Dragon Mask all leaped off their D-Boards and landed on the ground. All of them and their Ignis partners looked around their surroundings with wide eyes full of disbelief. "How... how could this happen?" Velvet questioned in horror as she began shedding tears of sadness at seeing the Cyberse World reduced to this.
Pink Dragon Mask and Yuna looked at the Hybrid Ignis in deep concern, before the Songstress Ignis turned to look at Ai, who had wide eyes full of horror. "Ai! You made sure that no one would be able to find the Cyberse World when you locked it away, right?" Yuna questioned her friend, getting Ai to turn towards her and nod. "Of course, I did!" He answered his friend, before he went back to looking around their surroundings.
"Then care to explain how someone was able to find AND invade the Cyberse World?!" Carla questioned angrily as she looked at Ai, getting him to tilt his head down in shame. "I... I don't know". He answered in an uncertain voice, wondering if the destruction of Cyberse World was his fault for not doing a better job of hiding it.
Azure looked towards his friend, before his face fell upon seeing the shame on Ai's face. Although he had a good idea why Ai had that look, Azure decided to focus on the task at hand and worry about it later. "How Cyberse World was found doesn't matter!" The White Dragon Ignis called out, before he flew off of his partner's Duel Disk's orb, much to White Dragon Mask's surprise as he watched Azure fly forward with his wings flapping.
Azure then flew down and landed on the ground, before he knelt down and placed his right claw down on a piece of the ground that was scorched. "I can tell by the smell of ash and how soft the ground is that whatever happened here, happened recently". Azure informed his friends and comrades as he brought his right claw up, watching the sand slip out of his palm and down to the ground.
The White Dragon Ignis then stood up on his feet, then looked over his right shoulder to look at the others. "There might be a chance that the others are still here. We should look for them or any of the Cyberse Monsters that lived here". Azure suggested to the group, something that Blaze nodded in agreement.
"My brother's right. The chances may be low, but we should still search for the others, or anything that could help us solve what happened". Blaze told the others, which they all nodded in understanding. "And if necessary, I'll use my powers to see who it was that did this". Raven stated, getting Purple Night to look down at her in fascination.
"All right guys! Let's get searching!" Ai cried out in an eager tone as he held his right fist into the air; determine to find his fellow Ignis. "But before that, there's something I want to show you all". Azure told the group, spreading his wings and took flight, grabbing the attention of the heroes of LINK VRAINS and their partners. "What is it, Azure?" White Dragon Mask questioned his partner, watching Azure as he brought his claws in front of his chest, before a white sphere appeared in between them.
"This is a new program I started creating not too long ago, and just finished it last night. I originally planned to reveal it when we reunited with the other Ignis, but now with what happened here, this is perhaps the best time to show my newest creation. Watch, and be amazed". Azure answered with his eyes narrowed in concentration, before he clapped his claws together and crushed the sphere in between them, creating a powerful bright light that forced everyone to cover their eyes with their forearms.
After a few moments, the bright light died down and allowed everyone to lower their arms to look at what happened to Azure. They all then widened their eyes in surprise and shock. Standing 5 feet away from them, right where Azure was, was a human male adult that was a head taller than White Dragon Mask.
He looked to be 19-years-old, had a pale face similar to Basara Toujou with yellow eyes with slit iris and blue fang marks on the sides of his face. He had neck-long white hair with silver bangs and dragon-like ears. He wore a long, dark blue buttoned silver coat with three separated coattails. A white, serpentine pattern runs around the collar, with a dragons head hanging over the coat's left shoulder, and its tail slinking down the right, all the way to the bottom of the coat. A black lining runs across the edges of the coat, and a silky, dark blue flower blossom pattern decorates the inner lining.
Each cuff of the coat also possesses five, black buttoned straps with dark blue lining. Underneath the coat, the man wore a navy blue ascot wrapped around his neck, which hanged over a black, sleeveless vest that revealed his well-toned arms and shoulders. He wears tan, white finger-less gloves, a black, snakeskin belt with a silver buckle, pitch-black pants with a scale pattern running across its surface, and tall, white boots with two silver buckled straps at the top. Finally, he had two silver dragon web-like wings and a long silver tail with a sword tip-like end.
Everyone stared at the unknown male in shock, who just stared at them with a naturel expression. 'W-what the hell!' Sylvio screamed out from his side of the transmission between the heroes of LINK VRAINS and their friends in the real world. 'Who's that guy, and what happened to our buddy Azure?!' Kolter questioned, just as surprised as everyone else back in the real world.
Eventually, White Dragon Mask found his voice and spoke. "A-Azure? Is that you?" The White Dragon Emperor questioned the unknown male, which he gave a small grin at White Dragon Mask. "Of course, it is. Do I really look that different?" The unknown male, revealed to be Azure, questioned in response with a different voice than his normal one, confirming everyone's suspicions.
Ai grew comical stars of wonder in his eyes, holding up both fists in an excited manner. "Talk about a complete makeover! How'd you do that, best buddy old pal?" Ai asked his friend in excitement as he started flailing his arms up and down at the sides, getting Azure to redirect his smile at him.
"Like I said before, it's a program that I created from an idea I had where the Ignis were humans. And as you can see, it worked like how a duck takes to water". The White Dragon Ignis answered his old friend, before he looked down at himself, then brought his tail up and looked at it.
"All I needed to do was imagine what I wanted to look like, and the program changed my appearance to match my thoughts". Azure explained as the wind blew past him, blowing his coat in the breeze, before it died down.
He looked at the female Ignis and saw all of their amazed looks, getting him to chuckle a bit. "Incredible. To be able to create something like this on your own without our help and in such a short time. I never thought it possible for an Ignis to change their appearance into a human's". Wendy remarked, floating off of Green Witch's Duel Disk up to her partner's right shoulder, where she sat down there.
Playmaker was silent as he stared at Azure with slightly wide eyes, coming to terms with this incredible program that the Dragon Ignis had just shown them all. "Is this program you created just for you, or can the others use it?" Playmaker asked Azure with a curious voice, wondering if it was just a one-time use program or it was created for the other Ignis as well.
"Don't worry, I'm not selfish to make an incredible program just for myself". Azure reassured the Cyberse Duelist, before he held his right hand out. Seven small spheres appeared in front of the palm of Azure's hand, before they all shot forward and split apart, all heading for the six other Ignis. They all struck the seven Ignis in their chests, yet did no harm and was absorbed inside of them, much to the surprise of Ai, Blaze, Raven, Carla, Wendy, Yuna and Velvet.
They all gazed down at their chests with their partners looking at them in concern. Azure sighed with both eyes closed, before he lowered his right hand and reopened his eyes. "I transferred a copy of the program to all of you, so now all of you can take human form whenever you wish in Cyberse space". The White Dragon Ignis told his kin, before giving an apologetic smile to them all.
"But it won't work in the real world. It was difficult enough just managing this program to work in the network, but trying to make it work outside the network is impossible right now". Azure added, admitting that even he had his limits.
Ai, Blaze, Raven, Carla, Wendy, Yuna and Velvet all turned their gazes over to Azure, right before the Dark Ignis suddenly started laughing with both hands on his hips, catching everyone's attention. "Hahahaha! It's fine if your program won't work outside the network, it's ultra incredible all on its own!" Ai laughed out, before jumping out of Playmaker's Duel Disk and into the air.
Yesterday after the party celebrating their victory had ended, Yusaku had removed the lock program that kept Ai trapped inside his Duel Disk. Since he no longer had a reason to keep Ai trapped in there, Yusaku figured that he should let his partner be free now. At first, he was expecting Ai to leave straight away, but after the Dark Ignis explained the plan that he and the other Ignis came up with, Yusaku decided to let him stay inside, just without being locked inside of it.
Ai floated a few feet away from everyone, before he stopped and turned to face them all. He gave a mischievous look at them all as he threw both arms into the air. "Unlike you guys with your limited imagination, I've actually thought of what I'd look like as a human!" The Dark Ignis exclaimed, bringing both arms up in front of his chest, before a black sphere appeared in between them.
Ai then gave a rather comical dark chuckle as he stared at the black sphere in between his hands. "Now, lowly creatures that lack imagination! Witness and behold, my spectacular new form!" The Dark Ignis cried out dramatically, before he clapped his hands together and crushed the sphere in between them, creating a powerful bright light that forced everyone to cover their eyes with their forearms. The only exception was Azure because he used his wings to block out the light.
After a few moments, the bright light died down and everyone looked to see Ai's new form. There, standing where the Dark Ignis had been floating stood a man around Yusaku's age. It was Ai, in his new human form. In this form, he is a tall young man with yellow eyes that have rectangular pupils, black shoulder length, spiky hair with yellow tips, along with purple bangs with pink highlights similar to Playmaker's. He wore a light purple formal shirt with a black cravat, vest, pants, and cape with golden stripes at the bottom and a red lining. He had on black boots with silver toes. He also has a pair of purple earrings with orange studs that resemble his old head and a blue diamond chip on his neck and back.
Everyone looked at Ai's new form with a sense of wonder, Playmaker a bit surprise to see his Ignis partner as a human. Ai let out a comical evil laugh as he threw both arms out, his cape slightly blowing a bit. "Hahaha! What do you guys think?! Do I look awesome, or what?" Ai asked with an excited voice, eager to know what everyone thought of his human form he created himself.
"It's honestly different than what I was expecting". Music Singer told the Dark Ignis, words that stroke Ai's ego as he gave a sly grin. "But was the cape and that long vest really necessary?" Lunalight Dancer asked with a small frown, words that mentally struck Ai as he grew a small scowl. "There's nothing wrong with that. He chose this to be his human form, so don't insult it". Azure told Carla's partner, defending his friend since he found there's nothing wrong with Ai's human form.
Ai gave his good friend a grateful smile, which Azure returned with his own smile. White Dragon Mask watched all this unfold silently, before he looked over his left shoulder to look at the devastated Cyberse world once more. 'What we all fought so hard to protect... It was destroyed in the end in a way. But still, who did this? It wasn't the Knights of Hanoi since they were fighting us, so who could have done this?' The White Dragon Emperor questioned inside his mind, wondering who was responsible for this.
Their old foe, the Knights of Hanoi was defeated, yet perhaps a new enemy had emerged. Only time will tell who this new enemy is, and hopefully, the heroes of LINK VRAINS will be ready for it.
(VRAINS opening 1: With the Wind)
A digital tunnel appeared with balls of data going down, before a glowing eye appeared. The eye then disappeared to reveal a data Duel Disk attached to a digital shadow of Playmaker riding on his D-Board and holding his left arm up. The digital copy rode his D-Board, before he transformed into a bright flash of light. The light changed to several different colored birds flying into the digital tunnel, before another bright flash appeared. The flash cleared and the digital tunnel transformed into a bright light blue world with the opening title 'Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS: White Dragon Emperor' in front of the screen, before it zoomed in.
"I run Across the universe".
The screen changed to show the slightly clouded blue sky above Den City with the sun shining. The screen then changed to show a street of Den City, where Naoki Shima running up to Yusaku, Ash and Rose, carrying his school bag on his back and waving his right hand to them. Ash and Yusaku paid no attention to him as they carried their school bags over their right shoulders. Rose noticed him as she walked besides her brother, holding her bag with both her hands in front of her, before she lifted her right hand and waved back at Naoki. The wind softly blew past Yusaku and Ash, blowing their hair in the breeze, but the two tilted their heads down slightly.
"At the speed of light".
On a nearby bridge full of cars and buses, a black clothed male with a hood on, jogging at the left side of the bridge.
"Begin Loading".
The camera zoomed in to show that the black clothed male was actually Gore, who was lightly breathing as he jogged.
"Open the door to dreams".
The screen changed to show that the day had changed to late afternoon with the sun begging to set for the day. Watching the sun set was Skye Zaizen, before she turned to her left and showed the sad look on her face. Nearby on a grassy hill, Lulu, Celina, Rin, Zuzu and Saya were all watching the sunset as well. Celina was lying down on the grass with her hands folded behind her head; Rin was sitting down with her left leg pulled up and her left hand hanging on it. Zuzu was standing up as she watched the sunset with her hands folded behind her and finally, Lulu was sitting down on the grass with her hands wrapped around Saya.
The screen changed to show Kolter watching the sunset from in his van on the driveway, holding up a hotdog with his right hand. The screen changed once more to show that it was now late in the dark for Den City. Akira Zaizen was standing next to his car, looking off into the distance with his right hand in his pocket.
"VRAINS spreads".
"Believe in myself".
The screen changed to show the bright city of Den City with the buildings night lights up and multiple screens flying around the city. Standing in the middle of the light city was Yusaku, Ash and Rose standing besides one another, carrying their school bags. Rose was standing at the left, Yusaku in the middle and Ash was at the right.
Different colored screens came and went across the city, but the three paid no attention to them as they continued to face forward. Just then, a bright light came up from behind the three and completely lit up the screen with only the three teenager's bodies that can be seen in the light. The screen zoomed into to show a close up of Yusaku's face, before zooming out, and then changed to show Ash's and repeat, before changing to Rose's face as well.
"VRAINS continues".
The screen changed back to show the three standing in the bright light. Just then, their Ignis partners, Ai, Azure and Blaze all came out of nowhere and flew forward. They disappeared and were replaced with brief flashes of child version of Yusaku, Ash and Rose. The images were replaced by Playmaker's left arm with his Duel Disk activating.
Ai appeared in eye form in the orb of Playmaker's Duel Disk with a data stream inside of his eye. The screen changed to show Playmaker's right hand with the thumb, index and middle fingers out, while the ring and pinkie fingers were tucked in. Playmaker waved his hand down, leaving a golden line of energy with his golden stripes glowing.
The screen changed to show Yusaku standing up, holding his left arm up with his Duel Disk strapped on with his deck slotted in. Just then, the words "Into the VRAINS" appeared on the blade of the Duel Disk in light blue writing, before Yusaku's body began glowing blue.
"The circuit draws the future".
Inside of LINK VRAINS, three flashes, a light blue, rosy red and silvery white appeared in the Data Material wind, before they all cleared to reveal Playmaker, White Dragon Mask and Black Rose Dragon Mask all surfing on their D-Boards besides one another with their Duel Disks activated, holding five cards with their left hands and facing forward.
The screen zoomed in as the three Duelists placed their right hands on the top cards of their decks, before the camera shifted to their determined filled faces. The three then drew their cards in dramatic fashions, leaving different coloured flares of light as they swiped their hands out.
The screen then changed to show their second ace monsters appearing in dramatic fashions. First, Decode Talker flew in with his energy sword in his right hand, before he spun around and took a stance with his blade rested on his right shoulder and his left hand close to taking hold of it. Then, White Dragon – Blue Link Dragon and Rose Dragon – Frozen Blue Rose flew in from above, before they flew past each other. The two then stopped besides one another and roared.
"I'll grab it with my own hands. Yeah".
The screen zoomed out to up above to show the three Duelists holding their right hands out in different styles. Playmaker had his right hand out to the side, White Dragon Mask had his right hand held out forward and Rose Dragon Mask held her right hand up into the sky. Then, their main monsters, Firewall Dragon, Novaforce Stardust Dragon and Black Rose Dragon flew over them, flying besides each other.
The three dragons then stopped and reared their head up, before unleashing powerful roars all together as they flew behind their own Duelists besides their fellow monsters. Firewall Dragon with Decode Talker, Novaforce Stardust Dragon and White Dragon – Blue Link Dragon and Black Rose Dragon with Rose Dragon – Frozen Blue Rose. All of them faced forward with Decode Talker holding his blade out, ready to take on whatever challenges await them.
With small bits of fire briefly appearing, the screen then changed to show an army of Knights of Hanoi gathered together behind Specter.
"Access!"
The screen changed to briefly show the right side of Varis with a red background, before changing to show the left side of Black Dragon Mask. The screen changed to show Topologic Bomber Dragon flying over the city of LINK VRAINS, releasing shockwaves of energy as it flew towards the camera.
"Star swirling, Data Storm!"
Topologic Bomber Dragon released a powerful roar with the orb inside its mouth gleaming brightly. The screen changed to show a three Data storms of different colours like purple, a white and rosy, red one beginning to take shape, before all three began ragging across LINK VRAINS.
"I'm now With the Wind".
The screen changed to show Playmaker, White Dragon Mask and Black Rose all still riding atop their D-Boards together in the Data Material wind with the end of their boards leaving an electric wind surge trail. The three Duelists held their left arms up in front of them with Playmaker leading them.
"Link with my soul".
All three of them then curved to the right, kicking up Data Material wind at the camera, before it cleared to reveal Playmaker, White Dragon Mask and Black Rose Dragon Mask surfing forward towards the screen. The camera zoomed in on Playmaker's face first, then switched over to White Dragon Mask's, then finally Black Rose Dragon Mask's face with all three of them having determined filled faces.
"Speed up, Data Storm!"
The screen changed to a light blue world filled with hearts, before Blue Angel appeared, giving a wink with her left eye as she spun around, leaving a blue tail with her left hand out. She then stopped fully with her left hand up towards the sky with a bright smile. The blue world changed to purple as Blue Angel's ace monster, Trickstar Holly Angel, appeared with a wide smile, before she flew out and took a pose with her whip.
Then, the world changed from purple to light green as Holly Angel flew to behind her Duelist and taking a stance, while Trickstar Divaridis appeared in front of the camera, giving a wink as she held her microphone up to her face with her right hand and held her left hand out, before she flew to Blue Angel's right side and posed.
"Now Win the Race".
The world changed to a rosy, red as Trickstar Bella Madonna appeared and swung her axe down, before she joined her fellow Trickstars on Blue Angel's left. The world changed into a four-split screen with all four previous colors from before behind Blue Angel and her monsters.
"Connected world".
The screen changed to show the smiling face of the Gore, before he fell back to show that he was surfing atop his D-Board. Then, Goku The Great Ogre appeared on the left side and Gouki The Giant Ogre appeared on the right side, before Gore flew past his monsters in between them and gave a smirk as he held his fists up.
"No matter when".
The screen changed to show the real world, before Emma drove out of a tree and into the air on her motorcycle. Her hair blew in the breeze as the camera zoomed in on her face, before it shot out upon Emma jumping off of her motorcycle and throwing her helmet off. The two virtually disappeared as Emma fell, before her body began glowing light purple.
She spun around as the purple glowing came off of her as sparkles, revealing that she had changed into her avatar, Ghost Gal, which she stared into the screen.
"Nothing is impossible".
In a virtual world, red data appeared and came together, before forming 5 circles that changed to light green. Varis and Black Dragon Mask appeared with their left hands up as the five circles took positions with a familiar creature slowly appearing out of nowhere behind the leaders of the Knights of Hanoi. The five circles then glowed brightly, before dyeing down to reveal that they were the five crystals of Cracking Dragon, who was now behind Varis and Black Dragon Mask.
"Strive for hope".
The screen shifted from Varis and Black to Cracking Dragon's face as the Machine-type gathered energy and formed a blue sphere in front of its open mouth. The screen changed to show LINK VRAINS again with Playmaker, White Dragon Mask and Black Rose Dragon Mask riding their D-Boards.
Playmaker's stripes gleamed golden as he, White Dragon Mask and Black Rose Dragon Mask placed their right hands on their decks and took hold of the top cards. The camera zoomed in on Playmaker's face, before it zoomed out as he, White Dragon Mask and Black Rose Dragon Mask all drew their cards in dramatic fashions, leaving different coloured flares of light. Playmaker's was orange, White Dragon Mask's was silvery white and Black Rose Dragon Mask left a rosy red one.
"And ride the wind!"
Varis narrowed his eyes at the sight of them, before he swiped his right hand out to show that he and Black Dragon Mask were now on their D-Boards. Two bright flashes appeared behind them, before their ace monsters, Borreload Dragon and Eclipserage Deadstar Dragon appeared from them and roared.
Decode Talker and Novaforce Stardust Dragon appeared out of nowhere, before the Cyberse Monster flew up towards Borreload Dragon and Novaforce Stardust Dragon flew towards Eclipserage Deadstar Dragon. The two dragons swung their fists at one another and clashed, while Decode Talker swung his blade and Borreload Dragon thrust his right claw out.
"Oh yeah!"
The four monsters collided with one another, creating a great light of power that blinded the screen, before it cleared to reveal Cyberse Wizard in a purple world. He spun around and took his activated staff into both his hands and released a light blue energy wave. The purple world changed to a yellow one as Link Slayer then appeared with his energy blades activated with the light blue energy wave that Cyberse Wizard released being his right energy blade.
He swiped his left blade down, before he left the screen as the world changed into navy coloured one with Bitron flying down towards the screen from above. He flew up to the screen with the camera zooming in on its left eye, before a brief flash appeared.
From the flash, Playmaker, White Dragon Mask, Black Rose Dragon Mask, Black Dragon Mask and Varis all appeared on their D-Boards, taking a moment to glare at one another, before they all passed each other. Then, they turned into different colours that fell into a black portal, before Gore, Blue Angel, Purple Night, Green Witch, Music Singer and Lunalight Dancer appeared on their D-Boards as well, before turning into different coloured lights and fell into the black portal as well.
The black portal changed into the same tunnel from the beginning with digital spheres falling into it, before it changed to Den City.
"Oh yeah!"
The screen changed to show a pure white bird flew up from the ground and into the sky, heading towards the sun.

(Pendulum Dimension/ Play Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS SOUND DUEL 2 - #20 What Destiny Shows)
Inside of the Leo Institute's Control Room; Declan, Yusei, Kolter, Yuya, Krystal, Sylvio, Gong, Shay, Dennis, Moon Shadow, Declan, Maleficent and Zion stared at the monitor that was currently showing Ai making many different poses with mixed expressions. On the lower level, Ash and the others' bodies were covered by blue data spheres beside several seated Leo operators.
Their happy day had taken a drastic turn of events at seeing what has happened to the Cyberse World. They had all expected to see a world full of life, well, Cyberse life and for Ai's return home to be a happy occasion. Even reunite with his friends, but none of that happened. Instead, a desolated world was all that awaited them without a signal sign of life.
"Aww man, this totally blows! After all we went through to find Ai's home, and this is what we get?" Kolter remark with a deep frown, genuinely sad for Ai that he's come home to this after so long. "Just what on Earth could have happened?" Moon Shadow questioned with crossed arms, more focus on who's responsible for this instead of the devastation. To Moon Shadow, removing the enemy comes first, then grieving comes second. It was why he didn't shed a tear for his brother when he was sealed into a card 2 years ago.
Declan remained silent, eyes narrowed deeply as he focused on the monitor, right as it changed to show all the heroes of LINK VRAINS, Azure and Ai gathered around. The young president of the Leo Institute's gazed focus on his friends and former Lancer comrades, taking in just how much they've changed since they disappeared 6 months ago.
It had been a normal, peaceful day without worry. Everyone enjoying the peace they fought so hard to achieve with no concern of any new threat, that is until Yusei, Akiza, Rose, Leo, Luna, Shark and Rio and Shay informed everyone of the disappearances of Ash, Lulu and Saya. Immediately, everyone was on full alert at hearing this and searched for their missing friends.
Despite how far and long they searched, nobody could find them in any of the four dimensions. Then, things started to get worse very quickly. First Celina, then Rin disappeared without a trace as well. Everyone started to get worried sick for their missing friends, and it intensified when Rose and Zuzu disappeared on the same day. For 2 whole months, there was no trace of Ash, Lulu, Rin, Celina, Zuzu, Rose or Saya.
Everyone was worried sick, especially the family of the ones that had disappeared. It was a miracle they were able to even continue life. During that time, Declan had noticed the strange behavior of the families of Ash, Rose, Lulu and Zuzu, yet never question them about it. It was truly a difficult time for everyone.
Then finally, they received word of them this morning. Yusei, who had been with the Akaba family during a meeting, got a call from Akiza and answered it. What he learned from her was the greatest news he had learned in nearly half a year. What had happened to his son and the girls, and that they were coming over to Paradise City. Yusei immediately told Declan of the news, and the young president cancelled the meeting to focus on welcoming their friends and family home.
He had contacted all the former Lancer members over to his tower. Shay and Dennis had come to visit, while Maleficent and Zion were over because Maleficent was doing a modeling camera shot for new outfits, just like her mother. Everyone had dropped what they were doing and came straight over to LID, just a few minutes before Ash, the girls and their new friends had arrived.
At seeing them all safe and sound had truly, everyone inside shed tears and cried out in joy, even Declan gave a relived smile. They managed to compose themselves, right before Claude lead them all inside Declan's office where they reunited. And they learned what had happened to their friends; called to another world that had Duel Monsters just like theirs, only with a Summoning method none of them knew existed by AI programs that had free will called Ignis. Even met two friends they had made in that other world.
Declan and everyone had missed out on so much as their friends fought another battle, this time to protect these Ignis from being destroyed by a group of hackers called the Knights of Hanoi. Declan felt a sense of shame at remembering how they did it alone with no allies. If only they had this problem connecting the two worlds earlier, the Lancers could have helped them fight and protect the Ignis. But alas, it was too late to help them because the battle was already over.
The war, however, didn't seem finished yet. Just as it seemed like it was all over, an unknown third party came in and destroyed what the other sides had been fighting for. This, however, gave Declan and the Lancers the chance to provide assistance for their friends in this new upcoming battle. "Yuya..." He spoke, catching the Odd-Eyes Duelist's attention as he looked at his old rival.
"Yeah, what is it Declan?" The Dueltainer questioned in response, wondering what Declan needed. "Fetch Claude for me and tell him to begin making preparations. It seems like this war isn't over just yet, so we'll need to be prepared". The silver-haired male answered, keeping his narrowed eyes on the screen, seemingly calculating something inside his head.
Yuya blinked at Declan, before he grew a serious face and nodded. He turned around and walked away, leaving the control room to search for Claude. Nobody stopped Yuya as he left, their focus still on the monitor as it continued to show their friends in the Cyberse world.

"Alright, we get it! You've got an incredible sense of style, so just drop it already!" Carla snapped at Ai with an annoyance tone, something that Ai grumbled in response. "Fine, fine. Way to be a killjoy as always, crazy kitty". The Dark Ignis said with a sour tone, turning his head to the right in order to avoid looking at Carla. The Cat Ignis growled a little, while everyone else watched with amused smiles.
Azure then cleared his throat out, catching everyone's attention as they turned to look at him. "As much as I enjoy watching you two fight, we've got bigger fish to fry. Carla, Raven, Yuna, Wendy, Blaze and Velvet. You're all welcome to use the program right now to transform, or just remain like that for now. Just know that using the program could help with finding any survivors". The White Dragon Ignis told his family, reminding them all of their current situation.
All the female Ignis turned to look at Azure, before Yuna raised her right hand. "Actually, I've just finished imagining my human form. I'm ready to transform now". The Music Ignis revealed, catching everyone's attention. They all turned to look at Yuna, right before she floated out of Music Singer's Duel Disk and flew a few feet away. "Yuna..." Music Signer whispered with curiosity to see Yuna's human form.
Yuna turned to face her partners and friends, bringing both hands up to in front of her chest, before a pink sphere appeared in between them. She clapped his hands together and crushed the sphere in between them, creating a powerful bright light, but this one didn't force everyone to cover their eyes this time. After 5 seconds, the light began to die down. Once it was fully gone, Yuna's human form was revealed to everyone.
Yuna's human form is a short girl with purple eyes and long pink hair that falls to her knees, separated into twin-tails that further split into three curly strands each, and an ahoge. She is wearing a maroon one-piece with a black choker, short puffy sleeves and shorts, a translucent red-violet cutout exposing some of her chest and upper back, detached long sleeves with black accents that go past her wrist, black lace trim on the end of the shorts, black stockings held up with maroon ribbon garters, and maroon t-strap heels.
Yuna grew a nervous expression on her face as she stared at her comrades, before slightly tilting her head down. "Do... Do I look okay?" The human form Music Ignis asked with a worried voice, concerned that nobody would like her new form. Music Signer perfectly detected the concern in Yuna's, and sought to give her comfort.
The masked Melodious Duelist walked up to her partner and stopped right in front of Yuna. She placed both hands on Yuna's shoulders, fully grabbing the Music Ignis' attention. "Okay? You look otherworldly beautiful, Yuna". Music Singer told her partner, catching Yuna completely by surprise at hearing those words. "Y-You really think so?" The Music Ignis asked, which her masked partner nodded right away.
"Of course! I'd say this is the perfect look for you since you're the Music Ignis". The masked Melodious Duelist answered, before looking at Azure over her right shoulder with a bright smile. "What do you think of Yuna's human form, Azure?" Music Signer asked with a bright voice, catching Yuna by surprise this time. "Huh!?" She gasped with bright red cheeks, now more worried than before. She was one of Azure's mates, but Yuna was still a bit nervous when it comes to love and anything related to the subject.
Azure blinked at Music Singer, then gave a smile at her. "You already said the words perfectly before I had the chance. You're really beautiful, Yuna". The human form White Dragon Ignis told his beloved, words that made Yuna's face turn into a bright red colour. She shyly tilted her head down, yet had a grateful smile. "Thank you for your kind words, Azure". The Music Ignis thanked Azure, truly happy at hearing those words from her beloved.
"I only have one question though". Ai stated, catching everyone's attention. They turned to look at the Dark Ignis and saw him staring intensely at Yuna, or more exact, at her rather large chest. He then turned to look at the Music Ignis' face with a serious expression. "Why... do you have big breasts?" The Dark Ignis asked with a completely normal tone, no idea of the grave mistake he just made.

A second or two after asking that question; Ai got side kicked in the face by Lunalight Dancer, sending him crashing into the ground on his face. The Lunalight Duelist and her partner both had disapproving frowns on their faces as they stared down at Ai. Yuna, on the other hand, was bright red in embarrassment at Ai's question, something that Music Singer was trying to help her calm down from.
"You stupid, complete thick headed dumbass! You don't just ask questions like that!" Lunalight Dancer snapped down at the Dark Ignis, right as he turned around and sat up from the ground. "And when you do, there's a severe punishment! One that I'm about to deliver to you!" Carla exclaimed, before leaping out of her partner's Duel Disk into the air.
The Cat Ignis brought her claws up, before an indigo sphere of light appeared in between them. Carla immediately crushed it, before a bright white light appeared and covered the Cat Ignis from view. Something fell from the light and landed in between Lunalight Dancer and Ai on its right knee. Everyone looked at the unknown female that was Carla in human form and took in her appearance.
Carla had taken the form of a beautiful young woman with a voluptuous figure, long indigo coloured hair with split bangs, and hazel-gold eyes with cat-like pupils. Her attire consists of a black kimono, a green obi, a set of light purple beads, and an ornately detailed headband. The kimono features a blue interior and it is open at her shoulders, giving view to her large breasts. For footwear, she wore simple black sandals. But the most unique feature she had was indigo cat ears and two cat tails of the same coloured.
Carla stood up on her feet fully, then gazed down at Ai and gave a sly smirk at him. A sight that filled Ai with dread as he began to comically sweat. "Now Ai, don't be a little coward and try to run away. Take your punishment head on". The human form Cat Ignis told her friend, bringing up her close hands before she opened them. Her human nails then somehow grew larger, turning into cat claws.
Ai whimpered at the sight of Carla's claws, before screaming out in terror right as she swung both hands down and implanted a X shape scratch on Ai's face. "Ahhh! My face!" The Dark Ignis screamed out in pain, placing both hands over his arching face. Carla just continued smiling slyly down at Ai, right as her nails returned to normal. "Oh, don't be such a baby. I went easy on you". She told the Dark Ignis, before turning her gaze over to Azure and walked over to him.
Carla stopped in front of her beloved, just an inch or two shorter than him, before placing her right hand's index finger on Azure's chest. "What do you think, handsome? Do I look majestic or what?" The Cat Ignis asked with a seductive wink of her left eye, something that Azure slightly blushed at. He still gave a nod of his head to Carla as an answer. "Y-yeah, you're beautiful. An 11 out of 10". Azure answered Carla, an answer she was pleased to hear as she let out a happy giggle.
Ai continued to cry out in pain from the cat scratch, only now he was rolling on the ground back and forth in some vain way to dull the pain. Yuna and Music Singer walked up to the down form of the Dark Ignis, looking down at him in pity. "You brought this upon yourself Ai, memorize your mistake". Yuna told Ai, before she softened her gaze. "I'll still heal you, but next time I won't do it for free". She added, before closing both eyes and began gently singing.
A pink aura then appeared over Ai's still rolling form, healing him of the scratch. Ai stopped rolling, then sighed in relief as his pain began to disappear. Playmaker walked up to his down partner and gazed at him, while White Dragon Mask and Lunalight Dancer went to their partners.
Purple Night and Green Witch gazed down at their partners with curious expressions. "Hey Wendy? Have you and Raven finished thinking of a human form for yourselves?" Green Witch asked her partner, catching Wendy's attention as she looked up at the Windwitch Duelist and shook her head. "Not just yet, but I almost got it. Just need a few seconds". Windy answered, before looking down in thought.
"What about you Raven?" Purple Night asked the Bird Ignis, which Raven gave a soft nod of her head. "I just finished it, but it isn't exactly what you'd expect from me". The Bird Ignis answered, before she flew out of her partner's Duel Disk. She flew about 10 feet away, before she turned around to face Purple Night, and saw her watching with all her attention.
Raven brought both hands together instead of in front of her chest, before a black and purple sphere of light appeared above the palms. She then gently closed her hands over it, resulting in a bright light that almost forced Purple Night, Green Witch and Wendy to flinch. The light lasted for a moment or two, before clearing to reveal Raven's human form.
Raven's human form is a young teenage girl that's a little bit shorter than Purple Night. She had midnight-black hair and purple eyes with narrow, slit pupils. She wore a violet headband with black lace trimming. Each side of the headband ended with two black bows; the headband also sported a violet rosette on top. A violet neck ribbon is tied around her neck, and her dress is white and black.
It has a matching rosette on the chest just like the one on the headband. The top part of the dress also has black lace trimming and features white ruffles trimming. The sleeves of the dress are puffy on each of the shoulders, while on the arms they fit the first half, the lower arms featured three-layered white ruffles. A ribbon and several strips of cloth from the dress hang off around her elbows. The skirt is white with ruffled trimming, layered with black diamond-shaped pieces. The two front layers feature white inverted crosses. Between these two layers is a crisscrossed ribbon. She also wears a pair of violet boots with matching rosettes like those on the headband. Her back is cracked from black feather wings pushing through.
Purple Night, Green Witch and Wendy all blinked at Raven's human form, all honestly expecting something more bird like. "Raven, that's your human form?" Wendy asked her fellow Ignis, frowning a little as she stared at Raven's appearance. "Is something wrong with it?" Raven asked with a surprisingly cold voice, something that surprised the three since it wasn't like how she usual talks and wasn't Raven's normal voice.
"T-There's nothing wrong with it. We were just expecting something else than this". Purple Night told her partner, waving both hands in a peaceful manner to reassure Raven that she didn't mean any offensive. The human form Bird Ignis gave her partner and friends a gentle smile, something that they expect from Raven. "It's alright, I just decided to go with something none of you would expect from me". Raven said with a warmer voice than before, before she flapped her wings once with a single feather falling to the ground.
"Well, you surprised us, that's for certain. But it did help me finally complete my human form". Wendy remarked, before floating off Green Witch's Duel Disk into the air behind her partner. Raven focused her gaze on Wendy, while Purple Night and Green Witch turned around to watch the Witch Ignis.
Once she was a little bit away from Green Witch, Wendy reared her hands in, before throwing them out with Wendy's witch cloak blowing from the movement. A green light then appeared in front of Wendy, before she clapped both hands over it, resulting in a bright light appearing that covered her from view. The bright light came down to the ground, before clearing to reveal Wendy's human form.
Wendy has taken the form of a 14-year-old girl. She has short aqua green hair, emerald eyes and has a fairly slim figure. For clothes; she wore a matching electric blue top and skirt with a wide green trim around the edges of her sleeves and the hemline of her top.
She wore blue fingerless gloves with a green square patch at the top. She's got a dark blue thigh high stocking on her left leg, and thigh high bandages wrapped around her right leg. For footwear, she had black cuffed, high boots in a soft sway. Around her waist was a black low slung belt over her hips. Finally, she had a green witch hat and an electric blue witch cape.
Wendy gave a rather comically dark chuckle, tilting her head down and gently took hold of the witch hat with her right hand. "Look and behold my new form! This is the human form of the Witch Ignis; Wendy!" The Witch Ignis dramatically exclaimed, throwing her right hand out with the cape blowing wildly. Raven, Purple Night and Green Witch all giggled at how dramatic their friend was acting.
With Black Rose Dragon Mask and Blaze, the Black Rose Dragon Ignis had already flew out of her partner's Duel Disk and was now in front of the masked hero of LINK VRAINS. "Check this out. I've made a slight modification to this program". Blaze said to her partner with an eager voice, right before she floated down and landed on the ground.
"Oh really? What change did you make, exactly?" Black Rose Dragon Mask asked her partner with a curious voice, placing her right hand on the hip. "Nothing major. Just how the transformation works". Blaze answered, right before a pillar of fire appeared over her and covered the Black Rose Dragon Ignis from view.
The pillar of fire grew larger and wide, before it cleared to reveal Blaze's human form. Blaze is now a tall, fair-skinned young woman with ruby eyes that has slit iris and long, thick, wavy crimson red hair that fades to pale red at the tips with a cowlick sticking out at the top. Like Azure, she had red dragon ears, and black rose marks on the sides of her face. Her outfit consists of a pitch black vest worn over a low cut red shirt; both are covered by a dark gray shrug with a raised collar, three-quarter sleeves adorned with a single red stripe down the outside of each sleeve, and rose coloured cuffs. A black mini skirt was worn under the vest as well.
A pair of crooked black belts with gold accents were slung around her hip, with a purple piece of fabric attached to the left-rear section of the lower belt. Blaze also wore thigh high stockings attached to her miniskirt by garter-belts on the front and back of each thigh, decorated with four crimson studs above her knee and her emblem on the outside of each thigh in gold.
She was also wearing black ankle boots with multiple buckles and white ribbons on the back tied in a bow. Around her neck is a purple pendant set in silver. Sticking out of her back through her clothes were two large and wide red web-like dragon wings as wide as her body, but had black roses around them. Finally, she had a long crimson dragon tail with black spikes lining up on it.
Black Rose Dragon Mask gave a wolf whistle at seeing Blaze's form, while she just grinned with pride. "I take it that means you approve". The Black Rose Dragon Ignis said, placing both hands against her sides and spread both wings out a little. "Oh, unbelievably. It's clear to see you've given it much thought and detail to make it look so beautiful". The masked Duelist said with a sly grin, something that got a chuckle out of Blaze. "Flattering". She stated, lifting both hands up and then dropped them.
Everyone then turned their attention over to Pink Dragon Mask and Velvet; the last Ignis to transform into a human form. "Your turn now, kiddo". Ai told the Hybrid Ignis, folding both hands behind his head. Velvet grew a nervous expression at everyone's expecting gazes on her. She was a bit under pressure right now because of how shy she is. It was just last night that she showed her full form to everyone, but now asking her to take a human form was a bit much for her.
Azure and Raven took notice of their daughter's hesitation and knew immediately what's wrong with her. The pair of parents walked over to Pink Dragon Mask and stopped in front of her, before Raven gently knelt down to face Velvet. "My love, it's okay. You're among friends, there's no need to be nervous". The human form Bird Ignis reassured Velvet, before placing her right hand on her chest.
"Just simply think of a form that you desire, and it will be yours". Raven told her daughter, speaking gently to relive Velvet of her concerns. The Hybrid Ignis wordlessly stared at Raven for a few moments, before giving a nod of her head. Raven grew a pleased smile, right before Azure knelt down beside his mate to look at their daughter. "Have you come up with a form for yourself yet?" The White Dragon Ignis asked with a curious voice.
Velvet turned to look at her father and nodded to him. "Y-yes, I have". The Hybrid Ignis answered, much to Pink Dragon Mask's excitement at hearing this. "Really? You have?" The 7-year-old girl asked with an excited voice, which Velvet gave a nod of her head to answer. "If that is true, then please. Let us behold it". Azure requested from his daughter, regaining Velvet's attention as she turned to face him.
The Hybrid Ignis hesitated for a moment, before she nodded to her father. She flew off of her partner's Duel Disk and away to the left, everyone's eyes following her. Once she was a good distance away, Velvet brought her hands up just like Raven did. A black and white sphere then appeared above her hands' palms, before she closed her hands over it. A bright white light then erupted out of Velvet's hands and covered her from view.
After a moment, the bright light cleared to reveal Velvet's human form. The Hybrid Ignis had taken the form of a lovely young girl around the age of eleven or twelve. She was a heterochromia as her right eye was white and the other was purple, but they both have pink butterfly patterns as their irises. Her silvery white hair is worn long and tied into frilly vertical drill-shaped twin tails with the tips a purple colour.
For clothing, she is wearing a pitch black frilly ornate dress with white trimmings and an exposed front that leave her legs visible, and are completely covered by purple and silver vertically-striped tights. Velvet was also wearing violet shoes with butterfly straps on her feet, and has a large black ribbon adorned upon the left side of her waist and a pair of similar ribbons tied at the top of her twin tails.
At the sight of Velvet's adorable appearance, Raven rose up to her feet and gasped in delight, clapping both hands together. "Oh, my daughter! You look absolutely adorable!" The human form Bird Ignis exclaimed, adoring the form Velvet had taken greatly. She walked over to Velvet and picked her up under the armpits, then held her up. "M-Mother, please! You're embarrassing me!" Velvet cried out with an embarrassed voice, much to the amusement of everyone else.
After a moment or two, Raven placed Velvet back down on her feet. The human form Bird Ignis then turned around to face Azure, while Velvet wrapped both of her hands around Raven's right arm. "Okay, you guys have taken human forms. So, what do we do now?" Lunalight Dancer questioned the White Dragon Ignis, placing both hands on her hips. Carla stood next to her partner with both arms crossed.
Azure turned to look at the two with a serious face. "Now, we search for survivors in teams". The White Dragon Ignis answered, before holding up his left hand with the index and middle fingers out. "2 humans and 2 Ignis for each team. We'll look around the Cyberse World for anything and in an hour, we return here. If we are unable to find anyone, be it Cyberse monsters or our fellow Ignis, we'll use our abilities to see what happened". Azure added, lowering his left hand once he was done speaking.
"Sounds simple enough. Only question is who goes with who". Yuna stated, before looking at Music Signer just as she turned to face her partner. "Wendy and I will accompany you". Green Witch stated as both she and Wendy walked up to the two. Music Singer and Yuna turned to look at them, right before Wendy spoke up then. "We haven't been in a team with just us alone yet, so we'd figured it would be a good time as any". The human form Witch Ignis told them, still smiling a sly grin.
Music Singer and Yuna looked at each other again, before shrugging their shoulders as they didn't really have a problem with that. "Blaze and I call dibs on partnering up with Purple Night and Raven". Black Rose Dragon Mask declared, much to Raven's fascination at hearing this. "Sounds like an interesting team up". The human form Bird Ignis remarked, growing a small eager grin since she's fascinated at the thought of both her and Blaze combining their abilities.
"Well, looks like it'll be you, me and our partners, handsome". Carla said to Azure, walking up to the White Dragon Ignis with her tails swaying. The White Dragon Ignis turned around to face the Cat Ignis, right as she placed her right hand's index finger underneath his chin and leaned up to Azure's face. "You're...kinda being a bit more forward than normal". Azure said with a small gulp, honestly a bit taken back by her straightforwardness.
Carla just chuckled in response to her beloved's words. White Dragon Mask walked up to Lunalight Dancer, who smiled at him as he approached. "Been awhile since we last team up like this when it's just us". The Beast-Warrior Duelist remarked with a grin, crossing both arms as she spoke. "Technically speaking, we're not alone". White Dragon Mask stated, smiling a little in amusement from her words.
Playmaker looked around his comrades and their Ignis partners for a moment, before looking at Ai and saw the Dark Ignis grinning a bit. "Well, looks like we're gonna be babysitting for a bit". Ai said with a mischievous grin, catching Playmaker by surprise at hearing this. The Cyberse Duelist turned to look at his partner for a moment, before facing forward as Pink Dragon Mask and Velvet walked up to him and Ai.
The Sacred Beast wielder smiled up at Playmaker, while Ai started laughing carefreely as he knelt down in front of Velvet. "I promise not to slow you down". Pink Dragon Mask told her friend, right as Ai picked up Velvet under the arms and held her up into the air, much to her embarrassment. Playmaker let out a sigh with both eyes closed, before opening them and gave a gentle smile at Pink Dragon Mask.
"Don't worry, you've already proven you can keep up without trouble. Just stay close in case something comes out of nowhere". The Cyberse Duelist told Pink Dragon Mask, which she nodded to him. Azure looked at all his comrades and friends, before he spoke up loud enough for them to hear. "Alright! Our teams have been settled, so let's start searching! Remember, don't go off on your own!" The human form White Dragon Ignis cried out, grabbing everyone's attention.
They turned to look at Azure and nod to him. "Right!" They all responded, right before Ai turned Velvet around and placed her on his shoulders in a sort of piggyback ride. The heroes of LINK VRAINS all split up in 4 teams in separate directions to search for anything in this desolate wasteland.

Playmaker and Ai walked side by side with the Dark Ignis still carrying Velvet on his shoulders, while Pink Dragon Mask followed behind Playmaker. All four of them were turning their heads left and right as they searched, before the two Ignis started crying out. "Everyone! Are you out there, I suppose!" Velvet cried out in hopes of getting a response, from either one of the other Ignis that live in this Cyberse world or from a Cyberse Monster. "Guys, it's us! Velvet and the Dark Ignis! We're finally home!" Ai cried out as well, holding onto Velvet's legs to keep her from failing off.
Unfortunately, none of them got the response they were hoping for. It was utter silence, much to their sadness. Pink Dragon Mask looked at the two in concern, before looking at the back of Playmaker's head. "Playmaker, what do you think happened here?" The masked little girl asked Playmaker with a sad voice, which he gave an answer right away. "Cyberse world was attacked". Playmaker answered without missing a beat, yet that did little to satisfy her.
"Yes, but by who? The Knights of Hanoi obviously didn't do this, so who could have?" Pink Dragon Mask said with a worried voice, wanting to know who's responsible for all this destruction. Playmaker was silent for a moment or two, before he turned to look at his Ignis partner. "Ai, are you certain no one was supposed to find this world? Under no circumstances, even if it was luck?" The Cyberse Duelist questioned Ai, wanting to be certain that it should have been impossible for this to happen.
"Yes, I'm completely certain! There should have been no way for anyone to find my home, much less attack it". Ai answered with a frown, then turned his head right to see if anyone was nearby. Ai's answer caused Playmaker to frown, before he looked down in thought. "Then... Could it have been..." He whispered, catching everyone else's attention as they looked at the Cyberse world.
"Playmaker, did you come up with an idea on who's responsible for this?" Velvet asked the Cyberse Duelist, the whole group stopping in their tracks to speak to one another. Playmaker took a moment to look up at Velvet, before facing forward to avoid her gaze. "If it was impossible for an attack to take place from the outside, then that must mean that it came from the inside". Playmaker said with a frown, catching Ai by surprise at hearing this.
"Hold up! Are you saying that the one that did all of this was one of my friends?!" The Dark Ignis questioned his partner with wide eyes, much to the shock of Pink Dragon Mask and Velvet at hearing this. "It's a possibility. Or it could have been a new enemy that desire the destruction of your kind". Playmaker told Ai, before looking away to the side with a deep frown. "There's too many answers, and almost low to zero answers. If we could only find a survivor". The Cyberse Duelist added, unintentionally reminding everyone of their mission here.
Everyone turned to look in different directions, searching for any sign of life. Just then, Velvet's ears twitch at hearing the sound of rubble nearby. The human form Hybrid Ignis turned her head left and saw the leftovers of one of the many homes of the Cyberse monsters that lived in this world. "Everyone, I heard something over there!" Velvet cried out, pointing her left hand's index finger in the direction she heard the rubble.
Playmaker, Ai and Pink Dragon Mask all immediately turned to look at Velvet, before looking at where she was pointing to. "You sure, kiddo?" Ai asked his niece as he and the two humans ran over to the ruined skyscraper. "Yes, I am". The Hybrid Ignis answered, right as they all turned a corner and spotted something hiding in a crevice near the building.
It was a small Cyberse Monster that Playmaker and Pink Dragon Mask had never seen before. The Cyberse monster let out a cry that sounded familiar as it looked up at the four, revealing it had blue eyes that looked like it was about to cry any second.
Ai gasped in shock, while Velvet widened both eyes in surprise at seeing the unknown monster. The Dark Ignis then began shedding tears of relief at seeing this monster because it was an old and close friend of his.
"Linkuriboh!" Ai exclaimed in relief, catching Pink Dragon Mask by surprise at what he called this Cyberse Monster. 'Linkuriboh?! As in Kuriboh!?' The 7-year-old girl mentally cried out in surprise, before turning to look at Linkuriboh again. Just as she thought, she saw how similar this monster is to Kuriboh, much to Pink Dragon Mask's amazement. "Amazing. To think there was a Link Monster version of Kuriboh". The little girl whispered to herself, taking a mental note to show Yugi this monster later.
Linkuriboh stared up at Ai in fear, unable to recognize him due to his new human form he's taken. It was something Velvet noticed and knew right away why the Link Monster's like that. "Uncle! Linkuriboh doesn't recognize you because he's only seen you in your normal form! He doesn't know it's you in that form!" The Hybrid Ignis told her uncle with an alarmed voice, grabbing Ai's full attention. He blinked, then noticed that true to Velvet's words, Linkuriboh was staring at him as if he's a stranger.
"Oh glitch, you're right! Hang on a second, Linkuriboh!" Ai exclaimed, reaching up and took hold of Velvet by her waist. He lifted her off of his shoulders and placed her down on the ground next to him. The Dark Ignis then turned to look at his old friend, before he got down on the right knee and gave Linkuriboh a reassuring smile. "Linkey, don't worry, I'm not a stranger. It's me, the Dark Ignis". Ai said with a reassuring voice, right before his form started glowing.
Playmaker and Pink Dragon Mask blinked at seeing this, before Ai's glowing form began shrinking down to a small size. The glowing then died down to reveal Ai back in his Ignis form, standing right in front of the crevice and allowing Linkuriboh to see him. At the sight of Ai in his true form, Linkuriboh blinked in surprise, before growing a happy expression.
Ai held his arms out to the Link Monster, right before Linkuriboh began squeezing his way out. It took a second or two, but Linkuriboh managed to get out successfully. Giving a happy cry with its eyes closed, the Link Monster jumped towards Ai and knocked him off his feet, nuzzling his old friend happily. "Missed you too, pal! But you're crushing my bits and bites!" Ai exclaimed with a happy voice, rubbing the sides of Linkuriboh gently to reassure him that this was real and not a dream.
Playmaker, Pink Dragon Mask and Velvet all smiled down at the Dark Ignis and his friend's reunion. It wasn't exactly the reunion they were expecting today, but it was still one to be happy about. "Ai, you know this Cyberse monster?" Playmaker asked his partner with a curious voice, grabbing Ai's attention. The Dark Ignis looked up at his partner and nodded to him. "You bet I do! This is Linkuriboh, a monster I created myself!" Ai told the Cyberse Duelist with an overjoyed voice, before looking back at Linkuriboh.
"Linkey and I were the best of friends that did everything together! We played around, caused mischief and babysit Velvet as well!" The Dark Ignis added, something that Velvet couldn't help giggling at. "He's right, I suppose. Linkuriboh was a monster I played around with a lot back in the old days". Velvet told the two humans, before reaching down and picked up Linkuriboh.
She stood up straight and cuddled the Link Monster in her arms as if it was a stuff toy to carry around. "He always used to carry me, but now the tables have turned". She said with a smug grin, before Linkuriboh looked up at her. Ai got back on his feet, then started glowing and grew much larger. The glowing died down to reveal the Dark Ignis back in his human form.
"Linkuriboh, I'm glad to see you're safe and sound. But I have to ask, what happened here? Where's the other Ignis? And what happened to the Cyberse?" Ai asked the Link Monster, hoping that his old friend could answer their questions.
Linkuriboh looked up at Ai with wide eyes, before giving out a "kuri kuri" cry. Something that didn't satisfy any of them at all. "Can any of you understand what he's saying?" Playmaker asked with a slightly hopeful voice since he's unable to understand Duel Monster language. Ai, Pink Dragon Mask and Velvet looked at Playmaker, before they all shook their heads at him.
"No, we can't. Despite creating the Cyberse monsters, their language is different from the Ignis language. And we never bothered learning how to translate it". Velvet informed her uncle's partner, before looking down at Linkuriboh with a sad face.
Playmaker turned to look at Pink Dragon Mask, since she's the only person among them that understand Duel Monsters. Unfortunately, the 7-year-old girl shook her head sideways at the Cyberse Duelist. "Cyberse Monsters speak in a different way than normal Duel Monsters. I haven't had enough time to understand them completely yet". Pink Dragon Mask told Playmaker with a sad voice, something that he let out a disappointed sigh.
Ai's hands turned into fists and began shaking from either anger, sadness or guilt. Something that Playmaker took notice of, before he turned around to look at the Dark Ignis and saw Ai's face full of agony. "Ai..." The Cyberse Duelist said in concern for his partner, but didn't get the chance to speak further. "You know guys..." Ai began, before collapsing to his knees, catching everyone off guard at this.
Ai fell and slammed his hands down on the ground. "All this time I thought I was protecting my home and friends, but I wasn't protecting anything! I failed! This is all my fault!" The Dark Ignis exclaimed in anger, raising his right fist before punching the ground with it. "Ai, don't think like that!" Playmaker told his partner, kneeling down beside Ai and placed his left hand on Ai's right shoulder. "None of us could have ever seen this happening! Not even you!" He continued, trying to help calm his partner down.
Ai was silent for a few moments, but eventually lifted his head to look at Playmaker with a sad smile. "S-Sorry about losing my cool there. I just needed to let that out". The Dark Ignis said with a low voice, honestly a bit embarrassed at how he acted just a few seconds ago. Playmaker could only stare at his partner in sadness and concern, easily able to see past Ai's words to see the pain he's in right now. And he had no idea what to say to him since he's never gone through something like this.
Pink Dragon Mask and Velvet shared a look, before the human form Hybrid Ignis walked over to her uncle and stopped on his left. She knelt down and placed her right hand on Ai's left shoulder, keeping a hold of Linkuriboh with the left hand. She gently and caringly started rubbing her uncle's shoulder in comfort, something that Ai gave her a grateful smile for.
Pink Dragon Mask walked over to Playmaker's side on his right, then gave him a small smile. "He just needs a bit of time. There's nothing else we can do, but give him our support and let him know we're here for him". The 7-year-old told Playmaker, knowing from experience that sometimes somebody just needs to cry. Playmaker remained silent, but still gave a nod to Pink Dragon Mask.
Searching can wait. Right now; Ai just needed some time to process what's happened to his home.

White Dragon Mask, Lunalight Dancer and Azure stood around Carla as the Cat Ignis stood with her eyes closed as she sniffed the air with her nose. Unlike Playmaker's group, they had a plan to find any survivors and that was to use Carla's abilities as a cat to sniff out any scents in the area.
"Found anything yet?" White Dragon Mask asked his mate's Ignis partner, arms crossed and left foot slightly tapping. "Give me a minute, dragon boy. This isn't as easy as you think". Carla responded with a hint of annoyance in her voice, both eyes still closed as she focused on sniffing out a scent of anything. White Dragon Mask grumbled a bit, while Lunalight Dancer turned to look at Azure, who had both hands on his hips.
"Azure, what happened to the Cyberse Monsters that lived in this world before whatever this happened? Do you think they were all destroyed?" The female masked Duelist asked in concern, grabbing Azure's full attention at what she said. He turned to look at Lunalight Dancer and gave a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, I'm certain that they're all safe and sound. In case something like this ever happened, the girls and I made preparations long ago". The White Dragon Ignis told Lunalight Dancer, much to her curiosity on what he meant.
"Preparations? Care to explain what you mean by that?" She asked Azure what he meant by that. The human form White Dragon Ignis opened his mouth to speak, but Carla beat him to it. "We created a program before the Knights of Hanoi attacked this world, where the Cyberse Monsters could leave this world and go to our Cyberse World for safety. So, when this happened, it's a safe bet to say that they're unharmed and away from danger". The Cat Ignis explained to her partner, right before she opened her eyes and gave a sly grin.
"But it would look like some got left behind. And I just picked up the scent of a Cyberse monster". Carla added, much to the excitement of White Dragon Mask, Lunalight Dancer and Azure at hearing this. "Good to hear. Which way is our Cyberse friend?" White Dragon Mask asked the Cat Ignis, eager to see a new Cyberse Monster.
Carla turned to look at her mate's partner, still displaying that sly grin of hers. "Follow me. She's close by". She told White Dragon Mask, before facing forward and began walking in that direction. Everyone else followed Carla's lead as she led them. It took about 2 minutes before she led them to a bunch of rubble from a destroyed skyscraper, with a single hole at the top of it.
White Dragon Mask, Lunalight Dancer, Azure and Carla stopped and stared at the pile of rubble, before the Cat Ignis pointed her right hand's index finger towards it. "She's hiding in there, but from the looks of it; she's trapped". Carla told her companions, before White Dragon Mask narrowed his eyes at the rubble. "This is gonna be a bit of hard work. Azure, let's get digging!" He exclaimed, before walking forward while Azure gave a nod of the head. "On it!" The human form White Dragon Ignis exclaimed, before following his partner.
White Dragon Mask and Azure got to work on moving all of the destroyed skyscraper's remains, while Lunalight Dancer and Carla watched them. It took about 3 minutes, before they successfully managed to throw all the rubble away. White Dragon Mask and Azure both grabbed hold of a large plate of rubble, before lifting it up with a bit of difficulty. But then from below, the two heard a cat's meow.
Both partners blinked in surprise, before throwing the plate away. They then looked down to see a Cyberse monster in the form of a creamy skin cat that had greens eyes. It had cybernetic legs and cybernetic armour around its paws and cybernetic ears as well. It had the face, body and tail of a normal cat though.
This unknown Cyberse Monster gazed up at White Dragon Mask and Azure. The masked Duelist had a confused frown, but Azure had a relived smile. "Meowseclick, so it was you". Azure said with a happy tone, catching his partner's attention at what he said. White Dragon Mask turned to look at his partner, but didn't have the chance to speak before Carla cried out. "Meowseclick, here girl!" Carla called out, getting down on her right knee with both hands out to the Cyberse Monster.
Meowseclick turned to look at Carla, staring at the human form Cat Ignis with a confused face. It then sniffed in the scent Carla's giving out, before giving out a cry of surprise. Meowseclick gave an overjoyed cry, before running over to Carla and jumped into her arms, which the Cat Ignis caught it in a hug. "I'm happy to see you're safe and sound too". Carla said with both eyes closed in a happy manner, rubbing the back of Meowseclick's head in a caring manner.
Lunalight Dancer gazed at her partner with a surprised face at how she's acting around this Cyberse Monster. "You know this kiddy cat, Carla?" The masked Duelist asked her partner, grabbing Carla's attention. She turned to look at Lunalight Dancer and nod to her. "Know her? Ai and I created Meowseclick together". Carla answered her partner, much to the Beast Warrior-Type Duelist's surprise at hearing this.
Carla then refocused her attention on Meowseclick as the Cyberse Monster meowed in pure bliss. Lunalight Dancer watched with a small smile, resting both hands against her hips yet made no move to interrupt Carla. White Dragon Mask and Azure were in the middle of a discussion about what the two Ignis had just revealed a few minutes ago.
"You said that all the Cyberse monsters would go to your Cyberse World, right? What about the other five Ignis that live in this world? Could they have gone to your world?" White Dragon Masked asked his human form partner with a curious voice, crossing both arms as he spoke. "I highly doubt that. While the monsters were a safe bet, we didn't create the problem so that the other Ignis to go to our Cyberse World". Azure answered, something that White Dragon Mask gave a frown at since he didn't see why Azure and the others would keep the other Ignis from entering their world.
"Why not?" The masked Duelist questioned his partner with a disapproving voice, something that Azure easily detected. "It's not because we didn't want our friends in our world, it is just because we didn't want the Light Ignis there. It we did create the program to allow Ai and the others to travel between our worlds, that means the Light Ignis would have as well, even if we specifically made it so that he'd be the exception. The only way the others could have come to our world is if we took them there". Azure explained to White Dragon Mask, bringing up his hands and waved them slightly as he spoke.
White Dragon Mask no longer frowned at his partner in disapproval, but still had a frown at what he said. "The others talked about it, but are you really on that bad of terms with the Light Ignis?" He asked Azure, wondering why he had a bad relationship with one of the six Ignis of this Cyberse World.
"I assure you, I never meant for it to be like this between us. It's just that he never liked or agreed with me on anything, and seemed to always compete against me for the right of leadership. One time I even suggested working together on a part of his territory, he outright refused". The White Dragon Ignis answered, growing a small frown at remembering the bad memories.
"Sounds like he really had it out for you. Did something happen between you two at one point?" White Dragon Mask asked his partner once more, which Azure shook his head. "No, nothing happened at all. Despite our differences, I always treated him with respect even when he didn't return it". The human form White Dragon Ignis answered, an answer that left his partner frowning.
'From everything I've heard so far, the Light Ignis sounds like the only one that has a bad relationship with Azure and the others. Honestly from what I'm hearing so far, he's not something I'd get along with'. White Dragon Mask thought to himself, taking a mental note to never be alone with the Light Ignis if he ever met him in the future.

Black Rose Dragon Mask, Music Singer, Blaze and Yuna all stood on the edge of a rooftop side by side with all four females looking across the landscape. "I can't see anything! The only things I can see are the remains of a destroyed civilization. Or should I say cyberlization?" Black Rose Dragon Mask remarked with a frown, getting a shrug of the shoulders from Blaze. "Not sure if that's how you say it, but whatever. There's gotta be something here for us to find". The Black Rose Dragon Ignis stated, lowering her hands as she spoke.
Music Signer, after a moment of birdwatching, turned to look at Yuna, who had a deep frown on her face. "Yuna, couldn't you attract any possible survivors to us?" The Melodious Duelist asked her partner, catching Yuna by surprise at the question. The Music Ignis turned to looked at Music Signer with a confused look. "How would I do that exactly?" Yuna questioned in response, wondering how she could attract anything.
Music Signer brought her right hand to underneath her chin, looking up at the sky as she thought of a good way to explain. "Well, you can sing. So, I thought you could sing loud enough for any Cyberse monsters to hear and come to you". The female masked Duelist explained to Yuna as best she could. Music Singer's explanation caught the attention of both Black Rose Dragon Mask and Blaze as they turned to look at the pink-haired female.
"That could actually work. It could be like luring in bees with honey". Black Rose Dragon Mask said with a grin, finding her friend's plan to be brilliant. "Fortunately for us, Yuna's healing singing can draw in the Cyberse Monsters". Blaze remarked with a confident smirk, then turned to her fellow Ignis.
"Yuna, sing as loud as you can. That way instead of searching, survivors will come to us". The Black Rose Dragon Ignis told her friend, completely confident that this plan will work in drawing in any nearby Cyberse Monsters.
Yuna let out a small sigh, before giving a nod of her head. "Okay, okay, I'll sing. Let's just hope there is anybody to hear me". The Music Ignis said, before bringing both hands together and held up them. Yuna peacefully closed her eyes, and then started to sing a soft and kind song. Music Singer recognized the song her partner is singing to be "I've Seen Too Much", a song they heard on an anime and found beautiful.
For the first half of the song, there wasn't a seen sign of life anywhere close. Black Rose Dragon Mask, Music Singer and Blaze all looked around to spot anything, but then Blaze noticed something through the corner of her right eye. The Black Rose Dragon Ignis turned her head right and saw something flying towards them. Blaze cracked a smirk, before bringing up her left hand and tapped her partner's shoulder.
Black Rose Dragon Mask turned to look at Blaze to ask her if something was wrong, but then saw what the human form Ignis was staring at. "Alright, it worked". The masked Duelist stated with a grin. Music Signer turned to look at her boyfriend's sister, but before she could speak, something flew up to in front of the four females. Yuna stopped her singing and opened both eyes, where she saw a Cyberse monster floating in front of her.
It was a human red armored Cyberse Monster The only part that was covered in armor was the lower half of its face with its mouth clear for everyone to see. Black Rose Dragon Mask, Music Singer and Blaze all looked at the Cyberse Monster in front of them, before the Black Rose Dragon Ignis gasped in surprise. "Huh?! Degrade Buster!?" She exclaimed, catching the other three females by surprise. They turned to look at her, before Yuna questioned her fellow Ignis.
"You know this Cyberse Monster?" Yuna questioned Blaze, which the crimson red-haired human form Ignis nodded without looking at her. "I do. I helped Ai create this monster". Blaze answered with a growing grin, much to her partner's fascination at hearing this. The Black Rose Dragon Ignis held her left hand out towards Degrade Buster, something the Cyberse Monster noticed and turned to look at her.
Degrade Buster flew over to Blaze, before taking Blaze's hand gallantly like a knight. It brought her hand up and kissed the back of it, an action that Blaze gave a pleased sigh at. "I'm happy to see you recognize me, Degrade Buster. Can you tell me what happened here?" The Black Rose Dragon Ignis asked her creation, hoping that Degrade Buster could give them some answers.
Degrade Buster looked at its creator's face and nodded to her, much to the joy of Blaze and the others at hearing this. "Finally, we got a lead!" Music Singer exclaimed with a wide smile, before she and Yuna gave each other a hi-five. "Let's go back and meet up with the others". Blaze told her friends, grabbing Black Rose Dragon Mask's attention.
"But what about searching for more Cyberse Monsters?" The masked female Duelist questioned, reminding Blaze why they were searching in the first place. "Don't worry about it. I'm certain Azure and the others have already found all the other Cyberse monsters that were left behind". Blaze replied to her partner, then turned her gaze back to Degrade Buster. Black Rose Dragon Mask opened her mouth to speak, but stopped herself and nodded to the Black Rose Dragon Ignis instead.

Up in the air of the Cyberse World; Purple Night and Raven flew through the air through their wings while Green Witch and Wendy rode atop green brooms. The four had left the main part of the Cyberse World and were searching away from the ruins for any aerial Cyberse Monster. "I know it is a bit late to ask, but how big is this Cyberse World anyway?" Green With asked Wendy, turning to look at her partner in mid-speech.
"Compared to our Cyberse World, much smaller. It's a really small round shape planet that you could fully travel around in just an hour if you're flying. 5 hours on foot". The Witch Ignis answered, turning to look at the masked Duelist with a small grin. "That's a relief to hear. But now I'm curious to see your Cyberse World for myself and see how different it is compared to this one". Purple Night said with a curious tone and eager smile.
"You'll see for yourself soon. For now, let's just focus". Raven said with a small frown, before she suddenly stopped flying forward. This caught her friends by surprise as they continued past her, but stopped and turned to face the Bird Ignis. "Raven, what's wrong?" Wendy questioned her fellow Ignis with a worried voice, something that Raven perfectly picked up. The human form Bird Ignis gave Wendy a reassuring smile to show that everyone was alright.
"Don't worry, everything's okay. I just thought of calling out to the Cyberse Monsters instead of searching for them". Raven told Wendy, getting the Witch Ignis to raise an eyebrow at her friend. "Call out to them? You can cry out like a bird, but are you sure that's an okay idea? What if you scar them away, or worse; attract the attention of whatever did that?" Wendy questioned the Bird Ignis, worried that her plan could backfire instead of helping them.
Raven slightly narrowed her eyes at Wendy's words, before she shook her head. "You of all people should know that whoever was responsible for all this destruction is long gone. All the Cyberse monsters have heard my cry before, so they'll recognize it. It's a better option than just cluelessly searching without knowing if there's anyone to find". The Bird Ignis replied to her friend, crossing both arms as she spoke.
Purple Night and Green Witch stayed out of this conversation between their partners, no real reason for them to get involved. Wendy let out a defeated sigh, then nodded to Raven. "Okay, we'll go along with this plan of yours. Just know that I'm still a bit worried that something bad could happen. This Cyberse World and its wind has suffered enough already". She told her friend, growing a sad expression right as a breeze came in and blew the hair of all four females.
Raven's expression softened at Wendy's words because she couldn't argue with that. "I know. That's why once everything's calmed down, we'll start fixing this world". The Bird Ignis told her fellow Ignis, before closing both eyes and took a deep breath. After a moment or two of silence, Raven opened her mouth and let out a loud, yet kind cry of a bird.
Purple Night and Green Witch nearly flinched at the loud cry. Raven opened both eyes, then turned to look at her friends. She opened her mouth to speak, but then another bird cry erupted out of nowhere. All four females widened their eyes in surprise at hearing this, before Wendy cracked a grin. "Well, I'll be a monkey's aunt. It worked in the good way after all". The shorted haired female remarked, getting a small chuckle from Green Witch.
The four females then turned to face Raven's left, where the cry had come from. At first, they saw nothing, but then something came into view, headed towards them. Raven widened her eyes in surprise at seeing what was approaching them, thanks to her enhanced eye vision. It was a cybernetic bird with multiple colours, no normal wings and instead a ring around its body and two yellow feet coming out of its body.
"...Defcon Bird". Raven uttered, before holding up her left arm. The Cyberse Monster called Defcon Bird soon flew into view of the others, before perching itself on Raven's left forearm and chipped at her. Purple Night, Green Witch and Wendy turned to look at the Bird Ignis, right as she smiled and gently pat Defcon Bird's head. "Well, this is a surprise. It's one of the monsters you helped Ai create". Wendy said with a small grin, catching her partner's attention at what she said.
Raven retracted her right hand, facing Defcon Bird's face with a relived expression. "Defcon Bird... I'm so relieved to see you're safe and sound". The Bird Ignis told the Cyberse Monster, which Defcon Bird replied with a happy cry. "What happened here exactly? Was Cyberse World invaded by humans?" Raven asked hers and Ai's creation, dropping her relived expression and replaced it with a serious once. To the surprise of everyone, the Cyberse-Type Monster shook its head.
"This wasn't the work of humans?!" Green Witch exclaimed with wide eyes, before Purple Night turned to look at her with a confused frown. "If this wasn't the work of hackers, then what made all of this destruction?" The Winged-Beast Duelist asked her fellow masked Duelist, which Green Witch gave a shrug of the shoulders.
Humans were the only thing that the two females could imagine attacking a world like this, so to hear that it wasn't a group of humans that reduced such a beautiful world to this state was a surprise to hear.
"Who, or what was responsible for the Cyberse World's fate, Defcon Bird?" Raven questioned the Cyberse-Type monster once more, eyes narrowed in a rather cold manner. Defcon Bird gave a cry in response, but Raven just gave a confused frown instead of a satisfied expression. "Well, what did he say?" Wendy asked the Bird Ignis with an impatient voice, wanting to know who to seek and get some payback on.
The Bird Ignis turned to look at Wendy with the confused frown still displayed. "Defcon Bird says it was a monster that did all of this". Raven told the others female, much to Purple Night's confusion at hearing this. "A monster?" She said to herself, utterly confused by what her partner translated. "That doesn't help at all!" Green Witch exclaimed with a small glare, holding up her right fist.
"She's right. Ask for more details from the bird, because that wasn't clear enough". Wendy told her friend, certain that their little bird friend could give them more helpful details. Raven nodded to her fellow Ignis, before she turned to look at Defcon Bird and proceeded to ask it more questions on what happened.

A little bit of time has passed since the heroes of LINK VRAINS and their Ignis partners set out to find answers on what happened to the Cyberse. It was now time for them to all meet up where their search began and show what they've found. The first group to make it back was Playmaker's group.
Like before; Playmaker and Ai were walking in the lead with Pink Dragon Mask and Velvet behind the, the Hybrid Ignis still carrying Linkuriboh in her arms. Both younglings were looking down at the Link Monster in Velvet's arms as it made itself comfortable. "It's really amazing that you guys created a Link and Cyberse version of Kuriboh. Was it a coincidence, or was he made this way specifically?" Pink Dragon Mask asked with a curious voice, leaning a bit forward to get a closer look.
Ai let out an amused chuckle, before looking at the two young girls over his left shoulder. "When I made Linkuriboh, I made him of my own design without even knowing about Kuriboh. Looks like fate really does have a sense of humor". The Dark Ignis told Pink Dragon Mask and Velvet, right before they all stopped in the tracks as they've reached their destination.
Playmaker looked left, then right to see if their comrades were nearby, but didn't see any of them. Velvet noticed they're the first to arrive as well, slightly tilting her head. "We're the first to arrive, I suppose". The Hybrid Ignis stated, before returning her attention to Linkuriboh. "And we're the second ones to arrive!" A familiar voice cried out from above, right before Purple Night and Raven flew in from above and landed in front of their friends.
Then Green Witch and Wendy flew in aboard their brooms, pulled up and jumped off, landing on their feet. Their brooms disappeared in a green shower of sparkles, yet no one paid that any attention. Ai immediately noticed that perched on Raven's left forearm was the Cyberse Monster he had created with her assistance; Defcon Bird. "You guys found another one of my little buddies. Defcon Bird, come here!" The Dark Ignis called with an eager voice, raising his right arm.
Defcon Bird turned to look at Ai, before letting out a screech and then flew off of Raven's arm. The Cyberse-Type monster flew over and perched itself on Ai's right forearm with the Dark Ignis letting out a happy laugh. "You look happy to see that we found your little birdy". Wendy remarked with a grin, placing both hands on her hips. "Of course I am. It's been a good few years since I've seen some of the Cyberse Monsters I created like Defcon Bird and Linkuriboh". The Dark Ignis replied to her, honestly happy to see some old friends.
What Ai said caught both Purple Night and Green Witch by surprise though. "Wait, Linkuriboh?" The Windwitch Duelist asked with wide eyes and a tone full of surprise. "As in Kuriboh?" Raven's partner asked as well, having thought there were no newer Kuriboh monsters that she didn't know about.
Velvet walked around Playmaker and Ai to in front of her mother's partner, before gazing down at Linkuriboh with an adoring smile. "That's right. This is the first Cyberse and Link Monster of the Kuriboh species; Linkuriboh". The human form Hybrid Ignis said with a proud voice, while Linkuriboh stared up at Purple Night and Green Witch with wide eyes full of curiosity. "Kuri kuri". Linkuriboh cried with a cutely voice, filled with wonder at seeing more humans.
After a moment of staring; Green Witch started laughing in a jolly way. "Oh man! I can't wait to see Yugi's face when he sees this little guy". Green Witch laughed out, not out of mockery but out of amazement. Purple Night got down on her right knee, before reaching out with her right hand and gently pat Linkuriboh, something that the Link Monster enjoyed as it closed both eyes in a happy manner.
"It truly is amazing how new versions of Duel Monsters' oldest creatures are created. I wonder if there are any more new versions". The long-haired female said with an amazed smile, taking a mental note to go searching once they're back in Yusaku's world. She then retracted her hand from patting Linkuriboh, before she turned to look at Playmaker and Ai with a serious frown.
"We learned something from Defcon Bird. What attacked Cyberse World". Purple Night told the two partners, much to their surprise as they both widened their eyes. "Really? Are you certain?" Playmaker asked his comrade to be certain, wanting no mistakes to be made on who their newest enemy could be. Raven stepped up to beside Purple Night and nodded to the Cyberse Duelist, taking part of the conversation.
"Yes, we're certain. I spoke to Defcon Bird himself and he told me everything that happened. I can't say much until the others arrive, but I can tell you that humans weren't responsible for what happened". The Bird Ignis told Playmaker and Ai what she learned from the Cyberse Monster that's perched on Ai's left forearm. "This wasn't done by humans? Then who did this?" Ai asked Raven with an urgent voice, desperately wanting to know who's responsible for what happened to his home.
"I'll tell you soon. For now, let's just wait for the others". The Bird Ignis replied to her friend, holding her hands up in a peaceful manner. Ai grew a sour face, but still nodded to Raven since he could understand why she wanted the others to hear it. Raven smiled a little at seeing that Ai complied with her, before lowering both hands.
Just then, Black Rose Dragon Mask and Blaze flew down from above and landed on their feet. Everyone turned to face the two, right as Degrade Buster flew in out of nowhere to behind the two partners, carrying Music Singer and Yuna on its shoulders. "Whoa, Degrade Buster!" The Dark Ignis exclaimed in surprise to see the powerful Cyberse-Type Monster that he created with Blaze's help.
Blaze gave a smirk at Ai, while Degrade Buster gently picked up Music Signer and Yuna from its shoulders and placed them down on their feet. "Surprise, surprise. We found him just a few minutes ago. He saw what happened, so he should give up some information". The Black Rose Dragon Ignis informed her fellow Ignis, folding both hands behind her head.
"Sorry to beat you to it, but we already got some information about what happened and are just waiting for everyone to show up". Wendy told Blaze with a smug grin, which she returned with a comical angry glare. "I knew we should have just come straight back here instead of just messing around playing catch up!" She growled out like the dragon she is. "That was your idea". Yuna reminded her friend, folding both hands behind her back.
Blaze let out a defeated sigh with both eyes closed in defeat, while Ai walked up to Degrade Buster and stopped in front of it. The Cyberse Monster glanced down at its creator, while Ai grinned up at him with pride. "Ahhh, you're still as big and intimidating as always". The Dark Ignis stated as he placed both hands on his hips.
He then turned to look at Playmaker with an eager smirk. "Linkuriboh, Degrade Buster and Defcon Bird. All three of these guys are gonna be SUPER helpful for you in duels, Playmaker". He told his partner, who raised an eyebrow at the human form Ignis.
"I'll be the judge of that". Playmaker stated, though he hoped these Cyberse monsters were good additions to his deck. He then looked over to Music Signer. "Have you seen White Dragon Mask and the others?" The Cyberse Duelist asked Music Signer if she saw White Dragon Mask and his group. The Melodious Duelist shook her head in response. "No, I didn't see them. But I'm certain they'll come around in a matter of time". She replied to Playmaker, right before someone called out to them and the others.
"Like now for example!" A familiar voice exclaimed, catching everyone by surprise before they all turned to look north. Walking up to the heroes of LINK VRAINS and their Ignis partners were White Dragon Mask, Lunalight Dancer, Azure and Carla with the Cat Ignis still carrying Meowseclick in her arms. Ai immediately noticed Meowseclick and couldn't help feeling a bit disappointed.
"Aww man! Meowseclick, really?" The Dark Ignis questioned in disappointment, before crying out in both surprise and pain because Wendy smacked the back of his head with her right hand. Defcon Bird gave a startled cry, before flying off of Ai's arm. "Don't act like that! Even if Meowseclick isn't as handy as the other Cyberse monsters you created, she's still your creation and you should be relieved to see her". The Witch Ignis scolded Ai, both hands on the hips as she stared at the Dark Ignis with a disapproving frown.
Rubbing the back of his head with a small hiss of pain, Ai turned to look at Wendy and nodded to her. "You're right, sorry about that". The Dark Ignis apologized for his lack of care for Meowseclick. He then turned his attention over to Carla and Meowseclick, before he walked over and stopped in front of the Cat Ignis. "Hey, can I hold her for a bit?" Ai asked Carla with a hopeful voice, honestly feeling bad at how he acted and what he said earlier.

Carla gave her friend a reassuring smile, before she nodded to him. "Of course. Here you go". The Cat Ignis said, before gently passing Meowseclick into Ai's hands. Ai held the cat Cyberse-Type monster in a secure hold to not drop her, before scratching Meowseclick's chin with his right hand's index finger, much to its bliss. "You guys learn anything about what happened?" Black Rose Dragon Mask asked her brother, which he shook his head.
"Unfortunately, no. All we find was more of the destroyed Cyberse World". White Dragon Mask answered with a disappointed voice, before Azure spoke up. "And all of you? Have you found answers?" The White Dragon Ignis asked his comrades and fellow Ignis, stepping forward to beside his partner. "We did, thanks to Defcon Bird". Green Witch answered Azure, before she looked at Raven.
"Everyone's here now. Go ahead and tell them". Wendy told her close friend, encouraging Raven to tell them what Defcon Bird revealed to her. Raven nodded to Wendy, before she stepped forward, taking 4 steps and then stopped in the middle of everyone. The heroes of LINK VRAINS and their Ignis partners stared at the Bird Ignis, all eager to hear what she had discovered.
"Defcon Bird told me how it all happened. It was on a peaceful day, no worries or concerns about invasion from the humans again like before..." She began to explain and already, all Ignis were frowning at remembering this Cyberse World's first invasion.
Raven was quiet for a moment, before she continued. "But then it all changed. From out of nowhere, a giant monster appeared and attacked, reducing everything to the way it is now". The Bird Ignis continued to explain, Velvet growing a small frown at what her mother said about a monster. "What kind of monster do you mean, mother?" Velvet questioned Raven with a hint of confusion, needed a better description than just that.
Raven grew a small frown, but gave a nod after a moment. "According to Defcon Bird; it was a giant monster that's large enough to topple one of the six pillars. It had a single eye, a sort of symbol on its chest and had a very large stomach that stuck out". The Bird Ignis explained to everyone, giving as best a description as she could. Everyone frowned because they've never heard or seen a monster that matches what Raven told them.
"I've never heard of a monster like that before. Could it have been a Cyberse Monster?" Lunalight Dancer asked with a curious voice, placing her right hand on the hip and brought up the left hand to her chin. "Highly unlikely. I've seen the monsters that Ai and the other Ignis created and none of them are whatever that creature that's responsible for all this". Azure told Carla's partner, certain that none of the other five Ignis had created such a monster.
"That may be true when you left, but what if one of them created that monster in the years that you guys have been gone". Purple Night said to Azure, raising her right hand up with the index finger out. The White Dragon Ignis fell silent at that since he couldn't really deny what she's saying. "The Cyberse Monsters were all terrified when this monster attacked. All the monsters that the other Ignis created went to their creator's sides while the ones that Ai created all left this world for sanctuary. Only a few were left behind". Raven finished explaining what Defcon Bird told her, before closing both eyes and let out a small sigh.
"We've all searched around this place, and these were the only Cyberse monsters we found. I'm guessing they're the ones that got left behind". Black Rose Dragon Mask remarked, glancing over all the Cyberse Monsters one by one. "Most likely. The ones that got away must have gone to our Cyberse World. That's the only place they could have gone". Yuna cut in with a small frown, taking 2 steps forward.
Wendy remained silent; head tilted down as she thought about what Purple Night said to Azure; about one of the Ignis creating the monstrosity that destroyed this world. Unable to keep herself from that train of thought, the Witch Ignis lifted her head to look at Azure. "Azure? If that monster really was created by one of the other 5 Ignis, who do you think was responsible for its creation?" Wendy asked her beloved, catching everyone's attention as they turned to look at her with wide eyes.
Azure was silent for a moment or two, staring at Wendy with a surprised expression. He then dropped it and grew a deadly frown directed at the Witch Ignis. "The Fire, Water and Earth Ignis are obviously not the creators of a creature that could do this. None of them ever desired destruction". The White Dragon Ignis stated, crossing both arms and folded his wings in as he spoke. "That's true. The Fire Ignis is an idiot, but he'd never want to do something like this". Blaze remarked, frowning upon thinking of that ash-for-brain idiot that chased her around.
"The Wind Ignis is a safe bet as well. He may be a trickster, but he's not a homicidal maniac". Wendy said to her comrades, certain that her rival wouldn't create such a monster to do this, even for a prank. "That leaves only one option that's the most likely answer". Raven stated with a small frown. Ai looked at the Bird Ignis with an offended look on his face.
"Come on, guys! Don't you think you're overthinking this? I admit that he's a stick in the mud, but the Light Ignis wouldn't do something like this". Ai defend his fellow Ignis, even though they didn't get along that well.
"The only way we will know for certain is if we'd ask him ourselves, but we don't have any idea where he or the other Ignis are right now". Lunalight Dancer commented, tail moving from side to side as the only hint of her impatience. "Let's not focus on what we can't do right now. Let's put our focus on what we CAN do". White Dragon Mask told his comrades, raising both hands and shook them up and down a bit.
Playmaker turned to the mask Duelist and nodded to him. "I agree with him. The only question is what our next course of action should be". Playmaker said with a neutral expression, turning to look at the rest of his comrades as he spoke. "The answer to that is obvious. We go to our Cyberse World now". Azure declared with a small grin, much to the excitement of the other Ignis at hearing this.
The heroes of LINK VRAINS were more curious than excited at hearing this. "Your Cyberse World?" Pink Dragon Mask said to the White Dragon Ignis, which Azure looked over and nodded to her. "Okay, I don't see a problem with. The only thing I do have a problem with is how exactly are we gonna get there?" Lunalight Dancer questioned with a small frown. Carla gave a chuckle as she turned to look at her partner with a confident grin.
"Don't sweat it, it's much easier than finding this Cyberse in the network". The Cat Ignis stated with a confident voice, placing both hands on her hips. Black Rose Dragon Mask raised an eyebrow, before turning to look at Carla. "How much easier exactly?" The female masked Duelist asked with a curious voice, wings folding in and out. "Unlike this Cyberse World, ours is located in a secret section that nobody could ever reach on their own". Raven explained with an eager grin, before raising her right hand with the index finger out.
"That's why we set it up to summon a gateway there whenever we want. No matter where in the network, this gateway takes you straight there". The Bird Ignis finished explaining, much to the amazement of the humans at learning this. "Wow... That sounds very handy". White Dragon Mask remarked with a grin, truly impressed with the way his partner and the other special Ignis set up their Cyberse World.

'I'd have to agree'. A familiar voice stated from everyone's minds, catching them by surprise. Recognizing the voice to be Declan's, Lunalight Dancer frowned and looked up to the sky. "Declan, where did you and everyone else run off to!" The Beast-Warrior Duelist screamed out at LDS's young president with an annoyed voice since they hadn't heard from their friends in the real world for a while.
'My apologizes, we've started setting up preparations. I've sent Yuya, Gong, Sylvio, Shay and Dennis to inform our allies of these developments. Moon Shadow to deliver data chips to the other dimensions on Link Monsters, Krystal to bring in Riley and Claude for another matter. Your friend Kolter, Yusei, Zion and Maleficent are the only ones here with me now'. Declan informed his comrades, not really bothered by Lunalight Dancer's attitude since he's used to it.
'Today's really not going how we thought it would go, isn't it guys?' Kolter said from his side, which Purple Night nodded her head. "You can say that again". The purple-haired female stated, before raising her right arm right as Defcon Bird flew down and perched itself on her forearm. 'Satoshi, Rose. We're still here for when your mother and the others arrive to help explain the situation to them. They should arrive soon, just picking up some friends on the way'. Yusei told his son and daughter, reminding them that their mother would soon arrive.
Black Rose Dragon Mask's face lit up, while White Dragon Mask grumbled a little bit. He was happy he'd see his mother again soon, what the Dragon-Type Duelist wasn't looking forward to was reuniting with Eizen. 'I feel like mt face is gonna hurt real soon'. White Dragon Mask thought to himself, then broke into a single bit sweat. "Well, looks like we got a bit to look forward to when we leave the network". Green Witch commented with an eager grin, resting both hands against her hips.
"For now, let's focus on going to our Cyberse World. It's been so long since we've been home that I'm honestly getting a bit impatient right now". Blaze said out loud with an impatient look, greatly desiring to go home right now. "You're right. You've all been patient with everything, so it's only fair now that you finally go back to your home world. No objections?" White Dragon Mask said with a grin, turning to look at the other heroes of LINK VRAINS.
The gate then slowly began to open for LINK VRAINS' heroes and their partners, revealing a bright flashing white portal of sorts that showed nothing on the other side. "Did you guys make it like this to build up the suspense?" White Dragon Masked asked Azure, getting a chuckle from the human form Ignis.
Playmaker, Purple Night, Green Witch, Lunalight Dancer, Music Singer, Black Rose Dragon Mask and Pink Dragon Mask all shook their faces in response, all perfectly understanding the desire of all seven special Ignis to return home. Ai gave a pleased smile at the friends he and the others made in their time in the human world. "Guess that settles it, our next stop is the other Cyberse world!" The Dark Ignis declared, which Wendy grew a slightly irritated face.
"We really need to come with a name for it besides just "the second Cyberse World", don't ya think?" The Witch Ignis asked, turning to look at Yuna. The Music Ignis turned to her friend and nodded, before looking over to Azure, who had an eager grin. "Allow me to show you all to the gate". Azure said to his friends, before he swiftly turned around with the coat blowing a bit dramatically.
Everyone turned to watch Azure, right as he brought up both hands. The palms of Azure's hands then began glowing a bright white light, something White Dragon Mask noticed and grew a curious face. Azure then threw both hands out in a dramatic fashion, right before two spheres of bright white lights flew out with Azure's palms no long glowing.
The two lights danced around each other as they flew away to 10 feet from everyone, before they rammed into one another, creating a powerful burst of light. Everyone shut their eyes and raised their arms to shield their eyes, while the Cyberse-Type Monsters weren't really affected. After 5 seconds, the bright light died down, allowing LINK VRAINS' heroes and their Ignis partners to lower their arms and look ahead.
To the surprise of the humans, there was a giant double arched door 10 feet away from them. It was very big, almost as big as Playmaker's Firewall Dragon. "Huh... When you guys said gate, I didn't think you meant it literally". Music Signer remarked, placing both hands on her hips in an almost seductive way. "Nothing wrong with something simple, I suppose". Velvet stated as Azure brought his right hand up, and then waved it out.
Then, the doors began to slowly open with suspension building up for everyone. The gate fully opened to reveal a bright flashing white light with nothing on the other side visible. "Did you guys have to make it like this? Were you going for a dramatic moment or something?" White Dragon Mask questioned his partner, turning to look at Azure as he spoke. Azure gave a chuckle in response, before he started walking towards the portal.
"Not really, it just happens on its own". The human form Ignis answered, right before he walked into the gate's light and disappeared completely. The humans gasped with wide eyes, while Ai, Raven, Wendy, Carla, Yuna, Blaze and Velvet all grew relived smiles full of joy. "Finally... Home after 10 years of being away... I've only dreamed of this moment for so long". Blaze whispered to herself, before proceeding to walk into the gate's portal herself.
Blaze disappeared like her brother upon entering. Raven turned to look at Velvet, before holding her right hand out to the Hybrid Ignis. "Shall we go together, Velvet?" The Bird Ignis asked her daughter, catching Velvet's full attention. She looked up at her mother, then smiled and gave a nod. "Yes, mother". Velvet answered, before reaching out with her left hand while keeping a hold of Linkuriboh with the right hand.
The pair of mother and daughter gently took hold of each other's hands. They looked forward to the gate that'll take them home, then walked to it. Carla turned to look at Lunalight Dancer, right as Raven, Velvet and Linkuriboh entered the portal. "Prepare yourself to be amazed, because our world's much different to this one". The Cat Ignis warned her partner, before leaping backwards into the gate and disappeared from sight.
Wendy tilted her head down, took hold of the witch's hat with her right hand and let out a comically excited chuckle. "Prepare yourself, mortals, for you all are about to be the first humans to ever see a world of our own creation". The Witch Ignis said with a dramatic voice, before throwing both arms out with her cape blowing for added effect. "Pass through this gate if you have the courage!" She exclaimed, before turning around and ran into the gateway, disappearing once she entered.
"Since when did you started acting so dramatic?" Yuna said with a small frown, walking into the gate with no rush whatsoever. Degrade Buster flew in and disappeared as well, while Blaze turned to her partner. "Don't pay Wendy's craziness any mind, there's nothing to worry about. Just prepared to be amazed". The Black Rose Dragon Ignis told her partner, before spreading both wings and took flight.
Defcon Bird flew off of Purple Night's arm and into the portal, followed by Blaze herself. Now being the last Ignis left to enter; Ai turned to Playmaker with an eager grin. "See you all on the other side". The Dark Ignis said with an eager voice, scratching Meowseclick's chin. He then walked into the gateway himself; both him and Meowseclick disappearing from sight.
Now left as the only ones to walk into this strange portal; the heroes of LINK VRAINS all looked at each other. They were quiet for a few moments, before White Dragon Mask broke the silence. "I'll go in first. You guys follow my lead". The Dragon-Type Duelist told his comrades, looking at them one at a time. Playmaker, Purple Night, Green Witch, Lunalight Dancer, Music Singer, Black Rose Dragon Mask and Pink Dragon Mask all nodded to White Dragon Mask, no argument with his plan.
White Dragon Mask turned to face the gateway. He gave a small sigh, before walking forward. He then closed his eyes right before entering the portal, leaving this Cyberse World behind.

White Dragon Mask didn't know what to expect once he entered Azure's Cyberse World. One second, he felt the heavy air of Ai's destroyed Cyberse World and the hard ground underneath his feet. The next; he felt a soft, cool breeze, a lighter atmosphere and a rocky ground underneath his feet. Curious to know where he is now, White Dragon Masked opened his eyes, but what he saw was unexpected in a way.
He was standing on a sort of rocky mountain terrain with a high incline, and behind him was a straight path that led to a big wall that curved around the path, blocking out the outside view yet ended just a little bit to the end, where a peak of the cliff was. And standing just at the beginning of the pathway to the peak were all the human form Ignis standing side by side. Ai and Velvet were still carrying Meowseclick and Linkuriboh, Degrade Buster and Defcon Bird were flying a bit above them. Raven and Velvet were still holding hands as well.
Azure grew a pleased grin at seeing his partner the first to arrive. "Welcome to our Cyberse World". The White Dragon Ignis welcomed his partner, before giving a small chuckle. "This is just where the gateway leads. From there, you'll be able to see this world with your own eyes". Azure added, pointing to the peak over his shoulder with the left hand's thumb.
White Dragon Mask turned his head left, then right to look at his surroundings, noticing how this rocky wall seemed to keep anyone from this point at seeing anything beyond the peak. Just then someone walked out of the portal behind White Dragon Mask and stopped beside him. The masked Duelist turned to see it was Playmaker, who was looking around his surroundings as well.
"Sorry that the terrain's blocking out the sights of this world. You could call this the starting point of this world, and it was created like this just in case anyone uninvited came over". Carla explained to the Cyberse Duelist, catching Playmaker's attention. He turned to look up at her for a moment, before he turned to look at Ai. The Dark Ignis gave an embarrassed laugh, rubbing the back of his head with the right hand. He kept a hold of Meowseclick with the left forearm though.
"It happened to me too. This is just the place where everyone arrives at when they come to this world, so don't think I got special treatment or anything". Ai informed his partner, speaking from experience as he always ended up here whenever he visited this world in the past. Playmaker wordlessly nodded to Ai, then turned to look at White Dragon Mask. "Do you feel it?" Yusaku's LINK VRAINS form asked his comrade, a question White Dragon Mask perfectly understood.
He gave a nod of his head. "The atmosphere and air are different than back in that Cyberse World. I'd say it's clear that this world didn't suffer the same fate as Ai's one". White Dragon Mask stated, right before Purple Night, Green Witch, Lunalight Dancer, Music Singer, Black Rose Dragon Mask and Pink Dragon Mask all emerged from the portal.
White Dragon Mask and Playmaker looked at their comrades, while the girls looked at the rocky wall surrounding them. "Well, this isn't the red-carpet treatment whatsoever". Lunalight Dancer remarked, crossing both hands with her tail swaying side to side. "Don't worry about it. Just consider this the boring start before the amazement begins". Carla told her partner, licking the back of her left hand like a cat would.
Wendy took a sidestep back and pointed towards the peak with her right hand. "Over there will give you all a great view of our world. Just a few steps up and you'll see just how big our world is compared to Ai's one is!" The Witch Ignis exclaimed with an excited voice, before lowering her hand. "Do you have to say it like that?" Ai grumbled with a sour face, taking offense to how Wendy compared their two worlds.
Raven and Velvet gave their friend apologetic smiles, before bowing their heads to him a little. "Please don't mind Wendy's words, Ai. You know how proud she is of our hard work creating this world, so just wave it off". The Bird Ignis said to her friend, before both she and her daughter lifted their heads. Ai let out a sigh at Raven, before he gave her and the Hybrid Ignis a small grin. "Don't worry about it, I know she's not the type". Ai replied to Raven, then looked down at Meowsclick and stroked its back.
Pink Dragon Mask lifted her head up and saw a blue sky with a few clouds above them all. "The sky of this world looks better". The young girl stated, comparing this world's sky to the other Cyberse World's one. "Hopefully that's a good sign". Black Rose Dragon Mask remarked, right as Azure threw his left arm out and gestured to the mountain's peak with it.
"Walk to that point, and you'll have truly entered our world. Just a few more steps". The human form Ignis said with a grin, much to his partner's anticipation at hearing this. "I'm not wasting anymore time! Let's take a good look". White Dragon Mask said with an excited voice, right before he began walking up the incline. "Wait up, big brother!" Black Rose Dragon Mask exclaimed, quickly chasing after her brother with the rest of the team following her lead.
They quickly passed by through their Ignis partners and Cyberse Monster with all of them following right behind them. The climb up was very easy and quick and in just a single minute, they made it to the top.

They all reached the peak and walked right to the edge. White Dragon Mask, Playmaker, Purple Night, Green Witch, Lunalight Dancer, Music Singer, Black Rose Dragon Mask and Pink Dragon Mask all gasped in absolute awe and amazement at the view of this world that greeted them. Azure, Blaze, Yuna, Carla, Wendy, Raven, Velvet and Ai all grew smiles full of joy at finally seeing a sight they were expecting to see.
It was a clear blue landscape surrounded by crystal waters and majestic mountains. A soft mist rose above the land, scattered throughout the mountains. In the distance, lay a modern futuristic city incased in bright lights. Off to the north was a land of ice that the group was barely able to see. And off to the south was what appeared to be an old age city with large skyscrapers. And finally, to the west was a large, lush forest that the gang weren't able to see the end of.
The heroes of LINK VRAINS were all in awe at seeing this majestic world with their own eyes. And even their friends watching from the real world, even though they didn't know it. And all the Ignis; they were all smiling brightly at seeing their home.
Raven let out a delight sigh as she held both arms out, right before a gently breeze came and blew through them. "Ahhh... I've missed the pure air of our home". The Bird Ignis said in bliss, spreading her wings out to feel the kind breeze on them. Velvet stepped beside her mother and held both arms out like Raven, feeling the lovely breeze as well.
"This world... It's almost like the human world. Only more in the ancient past". Purple Night whispered with a soft smile, feeling as if she's made a grand discovery. Lunalight Dance continued to stare with wide eyes, before she narrowed them upon noticing something. "Where are the Cyberse Monsters?" She questioned, turning to look at Carla for an explanation.
The Cat Ignis let out a small chuckle, before holding up both hands right as the palms flashed a second. "Another precaution we took into consideration. We made it so unless we personally allow it, anyone that comes to this world cannot see the Cyberse Monsters living in peace". Carla explained to Lunalight Dancer, while Wendy turned to look at Degrade Buster and Defcon Bird. "You two go on ahead and enjoy yourselves". The Witch Ignis told both Cyberse Monsters, which they nodded to her.
"Hold up a minute". Ai spoke up, catching the attention of both Degrade Buster and Defcon Bird. They both turned to look at him, right as the Dark Ignis raised his left hand and held it out to them, while carrying Meowsclick with the other hand. Both Cyberse-Type monsters gleamed black and purple a moment, but it quickly died down. Ai's palm gleamed purple for a moment, before he lowered it and smiled at both Cyberse Monsters he created.
"Okay, off you go. Go on". Ai told Degrade Buster and Defcon Bird, giving them an encouraging smile. Both Cyberse Monsters cried out in response, before they took flight. Right after becoming 10 feet away, both monsters suddenly disappeared from sight, much to the humans' surprise. 'What the!? Where'd they go!' Kolter cried out in surprise from his side, getting Pink Dragon Mask to slightly wince. Meowsclick climbed down from Ai's arms to the ground, before it took off and disappeared as well.
"It's a defense mechanism we created, to protect the Cyberse Monster monsters. A sort of cloaking program. Don't worry, I'll take care of it in a second". Carla told her partner and friends; right as indigo energy emerged from her hands and began to expand. "Wow, you guys really thought of everything, didn't you?" Green Witch remarked, right as the energy expanded into a large sphere that surrounded them all.
But in the next second, it disappeared and the sight of this Cyberse World changed in a way. A few seconds ago, there wasn't a sign of life, but now many Duel Monsters, mostly Cyberse-Type monsters, have appeared out of nowhere.
Flying through the sky above were monsters such as White Dragon – Stubborn Guardna, White Dragon – Harbinger of Storms, Bitron, Draconnet, Boot Staggered, Cyberse Converter and Duel Assembwurm to name a few. And in the water down below were White Dragon – Ocean Dweller, Sea Archiver, Code Radiator, Flip Frozen and floating above keeping watch is Splash Mage.
In the futuristic city; everyone was barely able to make out Cyberse Monsters there like Encode Talker, Rasterliger, Elphase, Proxy Horse and Cyberse Wizard. The land of ice was too far away for anyone to see if there were any monsters there. But the old age city to the south was closer for them to see that there were more animal Cyberse Monsters looming there such as Cyberse Clock Dragon, Clock Wyvern, White Dragon – Link Wyvern, Security Dragon, Proxy Dragon and Doublebyte Dragon.
Everywhere that they look, they'd see a Cyberse Monster there. There were even some that the gang didn't recognize. All in all, it was a surprise since there wasn't a single sign of them earlier. 'Incredible... There's so many Duel Monsters, it's almost like you're in the Spirit World'. Yusei said in awe, just as amazed as his children. Azure and Ai looked around the landscape before them, seemingly in search for something. But after a moment or two, both of them stopped and let out defeated sighs.
Both friends turned to look at one another with small frowns. "The Cyberse Monsters you created and the ones we made are here, safe and sound. But the ones our friends made aren't here". Azure said with a disappointed tone, then gave a shrug of his shoulders. He had hoped one of the Cyberse monsters created by the other Ignis were around here, so that he could track down the others with some help from them. But alas, it seemed like that wasn't going to happen.
"They must have taken their Cyberse monsters with them. Do you think they've gone to find their partners in the human world?" Ai asked his best friend with a curious voice, wondering if the other Ignis had taken off to find their partners. Azure shook his head at the Dark Ignis in response. "Perhaps for the Fire, Wind and Water Ignis, but I'm not certain about the Earth and Light ones. And not to mention, the Earth Ignis isn't a safe option for him". The White Dragon Ignis answered, before looking up towards the sky.
"We can only hope they're all alright". Azure added, before Blaze suddenly gave a scoff. "Except for the Light Ignis". She stated, then folded both hands behind her head. Ai turned to look at Blaze with a small comical glare and opened his mouth to speak, but then something roared from above them. Everyone widened their eyes in surprise, then looked upwards to see a surprising sight.

Flying down towards them was the ace monster of Playmaker's deck; Firewall Dragon. Playmaker widened both eyes and gasped in surprise at seeing his prized Link Monster flying down towards them. "Firewall Dragon!?" The Cyberse-Type monster exclaimed in shock, while Ai started laughing with a big grin. "Now THIS is what I call a welcome comity!" Ai laughed out, right as Firewall Dragon pulled up at the last second in front of them all.
The Link Monster's eyes were traced on its Duelist; Playmaker. It then gave a soft cry at Playmaker, before growing a happy expression. "Looks like your dragon's happy to see you". Music Singer stated, turning to look at the rather baffled Cyberse Duelist. "He must have been very excited to meet his master for the first time. You two share a close bond after all". Yuna said with a gentle smile, recalling all the times Playmaker called upon Firewall Dragon to help him when he was in a difficult situation.
Speaking of the Cyberse Duelist; he was honestly speechless right now as he stared up at Firewall Dragon's delighted face. It was true that Playmaker called upon and relied on Firewall Dragon many times in intense duels, like the last 2 he's taken part in. But he hasn't really considered himself and the Link Monster to be very close. Unlike the others despite them telling him of Duel Monsters having spirits of their own, he just couldn't bring himself to believe it. But now though, he was starting to become a believer.
Just then, Velvet took notice of something behind the Link 4 Monster. She raised her right hand to point at it, while keeping a hold of Linkuriboh with the left hand. "It looks like Firewall Dragon isn't the only one excited". The Hybrid Ignis stated, grabbing everyone's attention. Before they could speak, a blue and purple blur shot up from behind Firewall Dragon, then shot down towards the group of humans.
It crashed right at the edge of the peak, kicking up a bit of dust that forced everyone to cover their eyes. After a moment or two, it cleared and allowed everyone to open their eyes to see another surprising sight before them. In front of Playmaker on its right knee was Playmaker's second ace monster; Decode Talker. The Cyberse Monster held its blade down with its right arm, the left one across its chest in a respectful manner. Finally, its head wad down in respect to Playmaker.
"Decode Talker!" Playmaker gasped with wide eyes, even taking a single step back. Decode Talker gave a grunt in reply, keeping its head down. 'Wow Yusaku! Both your ace monsters were so excited to see you, they rushed over!' Kolter laughed out in amusement, something that Lunalight Dancer, Black Rose Dragon Mask, Carla and Blaze joined in.
Decode Talker lifted its head to look at Playmaker, then rose up to its feet. The Link Monster floated off of the ground and went to beside Firewall Dragon with them both still staring at their Duelist. Firewall Dragon then let out a soft cry at its Duelist, yet Playmaker was unable to understand it. Fortunately for him, Raven was perfectly able to understand the Link Monster.
The Bird Ignis turned to look at Playmaker with a gentle smile. "Firewall Dragon wants you and Ai to come with him and Decode Talker to see all of your monsters. They all want to see you two ever since we defeated the Knights of Hanoi yesterday". Raven translated for the two Link Monsters, honestly glad that Playmaker's monsters want to meet their master face to face.
Playmaker turned to look at Raven with slightly wide eyes, before returning his gaze over to Firewall Dragon and Decode Talker. "O-Okay... I'll go with Firewall Dragon and Decode Talker". The Cyberse Duelist declared, much to Firewall's excitement as it let out a small cry. "But what about you guys? What are your plans?" Playmaker asked his comrades what they'll do in this world.
"White Dragon Mask and I are gonna head to the ice area. I need his help with something new". Azure revealed, grabbing his partner's curiosity as he turned to look at the human form Ignis. "Really? What is it?" White Dragon Mask asked with a curious voice, wondering what Azure needed his help with. The White Dragon Ignis gave a small chuckle in response, before spreading both wings and took flight.
Everyone looked up at the air-born Azure, who was staring down at his partner with both hands in his pants' pocket. "It's nothing to worry about, just something to give us more freedom for our extended stay with you guys". Azure answered White Dragon Mask's question, before proceeding to turn around and fly away. White Dragon Mask gave a small shrug, before spreading both wings and took flight himself.
The gang watched them go until they disappeared from sight. Ai turned to look at his partner with an eager grin. "We should be on our way now, ourselves". The Dark Ignis stated, before he transformed into a purple sludge that shot out and hit Playmaker's Duel Disk, yet no harm was done. Playmaker looked at his sludge covered Duel Disk, before the sludge disappeared with Ai back in eye form.
The Dark Ignis quickly emerged from the Duel Disk's sphere in his normal form, then stretched both arms out. "Ahhh, it's really different being in this form and human form! Azure must have worked his butt off to complete it!" Ai cried out, while Playmaker turned to face forward, then jumped into the air. Once he was high enough, Playmaker's D-Board appeared underneath him and he safely landed on top of it.
Playmaker turned his gaze down to the others. "Keep your guard up! There's no telling if whatever attacked Ai's Cyberse World will attack this one!" The Cyberse Duelist told his comrades, which Blaze gave an amused scoff with a wave of her right hand. "Ha! They're welcome to try, but I highly doubt it". Blaze remarked, getting a nod from Ai at what she said.
"There's no need to be alert whatsoever. We're all free to relax without concern of danger. This world is completely safe, I promise". Wendy told Playmaker with a reassuring voice, speaking with certainty because she could feel from the wind that conflict hasn't found its way to this world. Playmaker's expression slightly softened at her words, yet he still gave a nod in reply. He then turned to look at his two ace monsters and saw them looking at him.
"Let's go, Firewall Dragon and Decode Talker". He told the two Link Monsters, receiving excited cries from both Firewall Dragon and Decode Talker. Playmaker's two ace monsters turned around and flew off, followed closely by Playmaker. "See you later guys! Have a good time!" Ai called out to his friends, right as they all disappeared from sight, leaving the girls on their own.
'He doesn't really know how to relax on his own, don't you think?' Maleficent asked with a slightly sad voice, something that Black Rose Dragon Mask noticed and wondered why she's like that. 'After all we've gone through, I'd say it is normal for him to be like that'. Kolter answered the Infinity Duelist, knowing Yusaku the best since he's been with him the longest.
'Well, now that all that's taken care of... What'll you guys do?' Zion asked the female heroes of LINK VRAINS with a curious voice. "We're gonna go sightseeing, of course. After coming all this way, it would be a waste not to check this place out". Music Signer answered with an eager smile, then turned to look at Yuna. "What's your area of this world?" She asked her partner with a curious voice, under the impression that the special Ignis govern their world just like how Ai and the other 5 Ignis did.
Yuna gave a small smile at the Melodious Duelist, before holding up her right hand and waved it. "It isn't like Ai's world; we don't do the whole area thing. You could say this world is like all of our property and we're free to explore it as much as we want". The Music Ignis explained to her partner, before she somehow began to float off the ground. "So, don't worry about trespassing in anyway. Just have fun". She added, then began to fly away.
Wendy and Carla floated off the ground and followed after their fellow Ignis, while Blaze, Raven and Velvet turned to look at the human females. "Don't break anything, no ticking any Cyberse monsters off and watch where you step. We just got back, and I'd like to have a relaxing day here at home". Blaze told the human females, before spreading her wings and took off into the sky. Velvet and Linkuriboh watched her go with an amused smile, while Raven shook her head.
The Bird Ignis then turned her gaze over to Purple Night. "Partner, why don't you and Pink Dragon Mask come with us? I'd like you to see some of the monsters we've created. A new kind of Cyberse race of monsters". Raven said to her partner, catching Purple Night's wonderment at learning of this. "A new race of Cyberse Monsters? What are they called?" The Lyrilusc Duelist asked with a hint of excitement seeping out of her voice.
Raven turned her gaze over to Velvet, before reaching out with her right hand and took the Hybrid Ignis' left hand with hers. Velvet kept hold of Linkuriboh with the right hand, right before Raven turned to look at Purple Night once more. "We named them Mathmech monsters. We haven't made much progress when we we're attacked, but thanks to our time with you, I've come up with some ideas". The Bird Ignis answered, before her wings spread out.
Raven and Velvet then took flight, before Purple Night turned to look at Pink Dragon Mask. "Are you excited to see a new race of Duel Monsters?" She asked, then held her right hand out for the 7-year-old girl to take. "Are you kidding? Of course, I am!" Pink Dragon Mask answered, taking hold of her mother's hand with her left hand. Both Purple Night and Pink Dragon Mask then disappeared from the peak.
Purple Night's D-Board appeared in the sky above, before both Purple Night and Pink Dragon Mask appeared above it and landed atop it. The 7-year-old girl was behind her mother, both arms wrapped around her waist. "Now then, follow me". Raven politely requested, before she and Velvet started flying east, keeping hold of each other's hands. Purple Night followed after them as the Bird Ignis lead them all.
Now being the only ones left; Lunalight Dancer, Wendy, Music Singer and Black Rose Dragon Mask all looked at each other, before they all shrugged. The four of them then disappeared, before reappearing in the sky above atop their D-Boards. They all took off in a random direction to explore this Cyberse World that their partners created.

With Playmaker and the Dark Ignis, the two were still following Firewall Dragon and Decode Talker as they led them somewhere. It's been 3 minutes so far, but it seems like they're about to reach their destination. It was the futuristic city that they saw from the peak filled with humanoid Cyberse Monsters. "Well, that seems like a proper place for our Cyberse monsters. Or at least the ones that are more human-like". Ai commented, taking a seat with his right knee pulled up.
Playmaker remained silent, though there was a hint of anticipation inside his eyes. He may not seem like it, but he's looking forward to meeting the Cyberse Monsters that's battled alongside him against the Knights of Hanoi and will continue to do so in their future battles. Playmaker just hopes they weren't a bit overbearing as he's still a bit awkward around new people.
The three then flew right above the city, allowing Playmaker and Ai to look and see the streets below them. It was filled with familiar Cyberse monsters of their deck such as Cyberse Wizard, Backup Secretary, Threshold Borg, Cyberse Accelerator, Cyberse White Hat and Salvagent Driver to name a few.
Their arrival didn't go unnoticed. The Cyberse Monsters gazed up to see their Duelist above them, then all started crying out in excitement. Playmaker lightly gasped in surprise, while Ai started laughing in a joyous way. "Ho-boy! Look at how everyone's so excited to see us!" The Dark Ignis exclaimed with a jolly expression, before looking at his partner. "What are you waiting for?! Christmas? Get down there already!" Ai urged Playmaker to jump down to the streets below.
Playmaker hesitated, feeling great mental conflict within himself as he struggled to jump off his D-Board. He's already had trouble interacting with people after the Lost Incident and was never able to handle such a large crowd of people. He's gotten better thanks to his friends and comrades, but he's still a bit anti-social. It was taking a great amount of effort for him to not just turn around and leave.
'Yusaku, calm down. Just take a deep breath and let it out slowly. They're not random people, they're your Duel Monsters'. Kolter told his friend from the human world, speaking through the connection between Leo Institute's Control Room and the Duelists that went into the network. Playmaker took his friend's advice as he breathed in, then let it out to calm his nerves.
Now feeling a bit calmer than before, Playmaker leaped off of his D-Board, which dematerialized shortly, then fell to the ground and landed in the middle of the street. Almost immediately, a good number of the Cyberse Monsters gathered around Playmaker with the first one being Backup Secretary. The female Cyberse-Type monster wrapped both arms around Playmaker's shoulders and nuzzled his right cheek with a joyous face.
Next up was Cyberse Witch as she wrapped both arms around Playmaker's left bicep, hugging it with both eyes closed happily. A trio of Proxy Horses came right up to right in front of their Duelist with the lead one nuzzling Playmaker's face. And even a Formud Skipper flew around Playmaker's head in an excited manner. All of this and already Playmaker was regretting his decision to come down here.
Ai started laughing once more, right as Firewall Dragon and Decode Talker came down and landed. 'Uhhh, Maleficent? What's up with you?' Zion asked his sister with a nervous voice, much to Ai's wonder at what's going on back in the Leo Institute. '...Nothing...!' She growled out with an ice-cold voice, installing great fear in Ai at how cold her voice was.
Playmaker didn't pay any attention to his comrades' old friends, because the Cyberse Monsters's affections for him were overwhelming his senses. Even if he tried to pay attention to Ai, Maleficent or Zion, he wouldn't be able to register whatever they're saying. 'I should have just left after we had arrived in this world'. The teenage boy thought to himself, greatly regretting the choice he's made. Not because of any dislike, but because this was way out of his comfort zone.

While Playmaker was being greeted by his monsters in the futuristic city; Raven led Purple Night, Pink Dragon Mask and Velvet to a city that looked to be more of the Sengoku era. Right now, the four of them were walking down a street full of Cyberse monsters that have the appearance of samurais of old with both monsters still holding their daughters' hands. The most surprising thing though is that when they come into close contact with any of the Cyberse monsters, they'd bow their heads down to Raven and Velvet before going on.
Pink Dragon Mask breathed out in awe with an expression full of wonder. "Wow... It's almost like we're in the age of samurais!" The 7-year-old exclaimed with an excited voice, getting an amused giggle from Raven. "Azure, Blaze and I learned of the ancient war of samurais so long ago, we became inspired of these tales and sought to honor them in our own way. So, we called for some help from the Earth Ignis and began creating the Mathmech monsters". The Bird Ignis explained, before she grew a sad smile with her head titled down.
"We had started 3 days before the Knights of Hanoi attacked. A good deal of process had already been done, but with what happened, and our bodies reduced to mere eyes, we had no choice but to stop with creating more Mathmech monsters". Raven added, truly displeased that their work with this new species of Cyberse Monsters had to be forcefully halted.
Velvet looked up at her mother with worried eyes, Linkuriboh doing the same from Velvet's arms. "Mother, everything is fine now I suppose. With the Knights of Hanoi defeated and us under the protection of the Leo Cooperation; you, father and aunty can resume your work with the Mathmech Cyberse monsters without concern". The Hybrid Ignis said to her mother with a gentle voice, aware of how much the Bird Ignis loved creating new life. And having to suddenly stop creating the Mathmech monsters before it was fully finished really stung her.
Raven gave her daughter a reassuring smile to relieve Velvet of her worries. "Don't worry, my love. Thanks to the time and adventures we had with our partners, I've come up with new ideas for future Mathmechs we create. Such as a Mathmech Xyz Monster". The Bird Ignis revealed to Velvet, much to her wonder at hearing this. She wasn't the only one as both Purple Night and Pink Dragon Mask grew fascinated at hearing Raven's future plans.
"A Cyberse Xyz Monster? Sounds interesting". Purple Night said with a fascinated tone since there are only Cyberse Link, Ritual, Fusion and recently Synchro monsters as well with Azure's recent creation; White Dragon - Harbinger of Storms. "It we start sometime around today or tomorrow, we should be finish in a week's time at the latest". Raven told her partner, right as another Mathmech monster walked up right in front of them.
It was a red and white armored warrior Cyberse monster with a white and red great sword in its right hand, a cape attached to its shoulder armor as well. This unknown Cyberse-Type Monster gazed down at Raven and Velvet, before bowing its head down in respect to them, an act both Ignis smiled at. "Mathmech Addition, I'm glad to see you're well". Velvet said to the Cyberse Monster that she called "Mathmech Addition".
Pink Dragon Mask turned to look at her partner with a curious face. "You know this Cyberse Monster?" The 7-year-old girl asked Velvet, catching Velvet's attention. She turned to look at Pink Dragon Mask and nodded with a small smile. "My aunt Blaze created this Cyberse monster herself". The Hybrid Ignis answered, right as Mathmech Addition continued on its way and left the females on their own.
Raven watched Mathmech Addition go, before she turned to look at Purple Night. "Shall we continue? There are other Cyberse monsters we created beside the Mathmech monsters, like Crusadia Equimax". The Bird Ignis suggested to her partner, much to Purple Night's curiosity at hearing this. "Okay Raven, lead on". The Lyrilusc Duelist told Raven, waving her right hand out in a playful way.
Raven chuckled in response, before she turned around and continued onwards. Purple Night, Pink Dragon Mask and Velvet followed the Bird Ignis with Raven's daughter still carrying Linkuriboh in her arms, exploring more of this world.

Deep in the ice mountains of this Cyberse world; White Dragon Mask and Azure stood in front of each other with a blizzard storm blowing their clothes widely, yet weren't affected by it in the slightest. The masked Duelist was holding up his left arm in front of himself, while his Ignis partner held both arms over the Duel Disk with a white sphere over it.
Azure had led White Dragon Mask here because he needed his complete focus without anything to disturb it. While curious, the White Dragon Duelist decided to trust in his partner and comply with Azure's wishes. So far though, nothing of real important has been done just yet. All Azure's done is just seemingly focus on his Duel Disk. "Azzure, what are you even doing right now?" He questioned Azure, a bit tired of just standing here with no idea on what Azure's doing to his Duel Disk.
The White Dragon Ignis lifted his head to look at his partner, then opened his mouth. "It's clear that the others and I are gonna be staying with you guys since we have no idea who's responsible for destroying Ai's Cyberse world. That's why I'm gonna make a program that'll at least grant us a bit more space". Azure explained to White Dragon Mask, before looking down at the Duel Disk he's occupied for a good amount of time now.
"This program will let us teleport straight from inside the Duel Disk to our Cyberse World and back whenever we like. Ai hates being stuck in such a small place, so when all of you are at school and leave us at home, we'll be free to relax without restraint". The White Dragon Ignis added, growing a small smile as he spoke. White Dragon Mask looked a bit surprised at Azure's explanation, before he gave a nod of his head.
Yet as he stared at Azure, White Dragon Mask couldn't help himself from feeling worried about him from today's terrible discovery. "Azure... Are you okay?" The masked Duelist asked his partner with a concerned voice, catching Azure off guard at the surprising question. "Huh? I'm fine, why do you ask?" The human form Ignis questioned in response, shifting over to look at his partner right in the eye.
"Well... It's just that with what we found in Ai's world; I was worried about you". White Dragon Mask answered Azure, concerned that he's not as calm as he looks and is really upset right now. "I'm absolutely fine, partner. Yes, I'm displeased with what we found in the other Cyberse World, but losing my temper isn't gonna do us any good. That's why I'm using our time to help us in any way possible". The human form Ignis answered, returning his attention to their Duel Disk and resumed.
Despite Azure's words just now, White Dragon Mask wasn't fully convinced. "It's good that you're keeping your cool and doing something helpful for the others, but don't you think you should take some time for yourself? Come to terms with what's happened and rest?" Azure's partner questioned the White Dragon Ignis, wanting Azure to rest for a good few hours at least.
The White Dragon Ignis grew silent at his partner's words for half a minute, yet eventually responded. "I'll... I'll rest later in the afternoon. Right now, I just need something to take my mind off of things". Azure replied to White Dragon Mask, much to his relief at hearing this. "I'm glad to hear that. Anyway, how's things looking for this new program of yours?" The masked Duelist asked Azure with a curious voice, looking down at his Duel Disk.
"It's...simpler than I expected. Now that the gate to this world has opened once more, all I really needed to do is go over the others' Duel Disks, give the girls a copy of this program and that would be it. The only downside is that it'll take 3 days to complete". Azure answered, right as the sphere surrounding the Duel Disk faded away and he lowered both hands.
"That's some good news to hear". White Dragon Mask stated with a pleased smile, dropping his left hand to the side. The teenage boy dropped his smile and stared at Azure with a curious expression. Now that the traveling between this world and Yusaku's world had been sorted out, he was free to visit an important place that he hasn't been to for over half a year now. The only thing was that he was wondering if he should bring Azure with him to that special place.
Deciding to ask the Ignis himself; White Dragon Mask opened his mouth and spoke. "Azure, after we've talked with the others back at the Leo Institute and start planning things out, wanna come with me to someplace special?" The masked male asked Azure with a curious voice, crossing both arms as he spoke. Blinking in surprise at his partner's words, Azure slightly tilted his head.
"Someplace special?" The human form Ignis questioned, then slightly narrowed both eyes and smirked a little at White Dragon Mask. "Do you mean... the world of Pokémon?" Azure questioned the teenage boy with a hint of excitement in his voice. White Dragon Mask widened both eyes and let out a sharp gasp at Azure's words since he never expected him to know about his second home planet.
For the next few moments, both partners stared at one another in silence, until White Dragon Mask broke it by letting out a defeated sigh. "So, you know about that too, huh?" The teenage boy stated, honestly surprised with himself that he didn't expect Azure to already know about his other life. After all, Azure accessed his old Duel Disk's fills, so he must have learned about the Pokémon World from them.
Azure chuckled in response, then crossed both arms. "Yes, I do. It's thanks to what I found inside of your Xyz Dimension Duel Disk. And honestly; I'm amazed at what I learned". The White Dragon Ignis answered, then looked up towards the sky with an expression full of wonder. "A world full of unimaginable creatures that live alongside humans, children that leave their homes at the age of 10 for adventures and actual living legends that exist in the present age... The world of Pokémon is a place I truly want to see with my own eyes". Azure added, lowering his head to gaze at White Dragon Mask.
The teenage boy had a kind smile at his partner, filled with amazement that Azure was so enraptured by the Pokémon world just from reading some filles. It was clear to know what Azure's answer to his question from earlier is, so there's no need to ask again.
Azure focused his gaze on White Dragon Mask, then slightly tilted his head. "I've been meaning to ask this for some time now, but why didn't you ever visit the Pokémon World from Yusaku's world?" The human form Ignis questioned, one that White Dragon Mask gave another defeated sigh at. "Because I didn't want to end up in some random place". White Dragon Mask answered, an answer that didn't really satisfied Azure as he narrowed both eyes.
"Explanation please". Azure requested, tapping his right foot a bit in impatience. The teenage boy sighed, then gave a shrug of his shoulders. "Listen, it is a bit complicated. I can teleport from the world of four dimensions to there and back because I know the way. You could say it's kinda liking someone knowing the street, leaving home to go somewhere and taking the route they know best. I know that way between both worlds, but the same couldn't be said in Yusaku world". White Dragon Mask explained, then turned around and looked up at the sky.
"Like moving into a new street, I didn't know which way lead to where or the places around. If I did try, worst case scenario would be entering some new world I've never seen before. And I don't know about you, but three worlds are already enough for me". The teenage boy added, folding both hands behind his head with the wings slightly spread. "Don't you mean five?" Azure questioned with a small smirk, getting a groan from his partner in reply.
"Back to what I was saying; there's no way I'm getting trapped in another world that could potentially not have Duel Monsters or Pokémon. That's why I didn't risk it and waited for when we're back here in our world". White Dragon Mask told the human form Ignis, turning around to face Azure, who held his chin with the right hand. "Understandable. You don't want to get caught up in a war or something like that". The White Dragon Ignis said to himself, before placing both hands on his hips.
"But now that we're in your world, you're free to travel to the world of Pokémon again, right?" He questioned the teenage boy, which White Dragon Mask instantly nodded. "Of course! It's been half a year and everyone's probably worried sick about me. Especially Pikachu". White Dragon Mask answered, growing a fond smile upon thinking of his best friend that he's ever made.
"Ahhh yes, the Electric Mouse Pokémon that was your starter". Azure remarked, thought he sounded a bit off to White Dragon Mask. The human form Ignis then narrowed his eyes in...jealously?
"...To be honest... I'm a bit jealous of that creature?" Azure confessed to White Dragon Mask, much to his surprise at hearing this since he didn't expect something like this. "You're jealous of Pikachu? Why? White Dragon Mask questioned his partner, wondering why he's feeling like that. Azure turned away with a scoff, before turning around fully to avoid facing his partner.
"Because I was created to be your partner, the one you trust most and reply on the most. But for someone else to have that role for over 5 years...! It frustrates me!" Azure growled out to answer, something that White Dragon Mask let out a mentally exhausted sigh at. "That's no reason for you to get upset. We were in different worlds, Pikachu was by my side for 5 years as I traveled around, and I didn't even know you existed back then. Besides, who says someone can't have more than one partner?" The teenage boy told Azure, turning his gaze down to his deck and drew the top card.
He took a look at what he drew, while Azure let out a sigh of his own with both eyes closed. "Be that as it may, I still don't like how an electric rat took my spot. But I'll let it slide". The White Dragon Ignis said, then turned around to fully face his partner. "We're getting a bit sidetracked, so come on. Let me show you around my world a bit more while we still got some time". Azure told White Dragon Mask, desiring to see more of his home world now that he's back.
White Dragon Mask looked at Azure, returned the card to his deck and then nodded to the human form Ignis. Azure returned the nod, then began walking forward with White Dragon Mask following him.

An hour has passed since LINK VRAINS' heroes and their Ignis partners came to this world. In that time, they all had a great time. Lunalight Dancer, Green Witch, Music Signer and Black Rose Dragon Mask had quickly caught up with their partners and saw more Cyberse Monsters that Carla, Yuna and Blaze had created themselves. Playmaker and Ai managed to leave the futuristic city, much to Playmaker's relief, after the Cyberse Monsters finished their greetings.
Now, the whole gang was gathered together in a lush, green and beautiful forest, right near a lake that was perfectly smooth and showed a reflection exactly like a mirror. Lunalight Dancer and Green Witch were lying down on a small hill with their hands folded on the stomachs, Music Singer and Black Rose Dragon Mask were sitting down next to them.
Purple Night was standing next to White Dragon Mask, both teens standing a few feet away from the others and right beside on another. As for Playmaker and Pink Dragon Mask, the Cyberse Duelist was sitting down with his back against a tree trunk in an exhausted manner with both hands on his knees, and the Sacred Beast wielder was standing beside him, looking at Playmaker's face in concern. And as for all their Ignis partners, they have returned to their partners' Duel Disks.
"Playmaker, what's wrong? Why are you so exhausted?" Pink Dragon Mask asked Playmaker in concern, getting down on one knee beside the teenage boy. Ai, who was staring at his partner with a smug look, turned to look at Pink Dragon Mask and waved his left hand at her. "Don't worry your little head, kiddo. He's just recovering from the paparazzi that's his Cyberse Monsters". The Dark Ignis told her, then went back to watching his partner with both hands on the hips.
"I see. It must have been really overwhelming if he's been reduced to this". Velvet remarked in eye form inside her partner's Duel Disk, which Playmaker gave out an exhausted sigh as an answer. Pink Dragon Mask gave a smile of pity to the Cyberse Duelist, before gently patting his right shoulder with her left hand in a comforting way.
"Well girls, I'd say that today's been a one we won't be forgetting about soon". Lunalight Dancer remarked from her spot in between Music Singer and Black Rose Dragon Mask, eyes closed as she relaxed and took in the scent of this world. "I agree with her. Later on, I think I'm even gonna write this all down on a notebook". Green Witch said with a small grin, then held her left arm up, reaching for the sun above them.
"I'm glad to hear today's been a good one for you. Take it in because who knows when we're gonna have to duel for the fate of the world again". Carla remarked in eye form inside Lunalight Dancer's Duel Disk. "Come on Carla, don't bring that up right now. Let's just relax, we're finally home after being away for 10 years after all". Wendy said to her fellow Ignis, standing up in her true form with both hands folded behind her head.
Music Signer, Black Rose Dragon Mask, Yuna and Blaze had nothing to say because all four of them were actually taking a nap right now. The peaceful atmosphere and gentle wind had gotten to them a little, so they couldn't help themselves from falling asleep.
White Dragon Mask, Purple Night, Azure and Raven were all watching their sleeping partners with soft expressions. "It's been so long since I've seen my sister so relax that she'd fall asleep like that. With our survival at stake, she's always on guard and never takes a breather". Azure, true form, said with a soft voice with both arms crossed, sitting down on the Duel Disk's orb with the right leg over his left and wings folded in.
Unlike her mate, Raven was in eye form yet was still staring at her fellow Ignis. "With all that's happened, I'd say we all deserve some rest without concern". The Bird Ignis commented, then turned her gaze over to Purple Night. "Shouldn't you all be leaving soon? Your friends and family are waiting for you all back in the Pendulum Dimension". Raven questioned her partner, reminding Purple Night of everyone that's waiting for them.
Purple Night gazed down and smiled at Raven. "We will leave in a few minutes, just enjoying a few more minutes here". The Lyrilusc Duelist answered her partner, then gazed over to White Dragon Mask. "White... Ash, what's going to happen now?" She asked her boyfriend, unsure of what they'll do next now that they're back home in their world. For an example; what school will she go to now? Back to Heartland Academy or remain in Den City's High School.
White Dragon Mask spared Purple Night a glance for a moment, before facing forward with a confident grin. "We'll figure it out as we go". He answered, then glanced down at Azure. "For now, I promised to take Azure to visit somewhere important later". The masked teenager added, receiving a smile of understanding from his girlfriend since she knew where he was talking about.
Azure looked up at his partner with an eager look, greatly anticipating laying eyes on the world of Pokémon soon. Purple Night then blinked in realization, before looking down at Raven once more. "That reminds me. Are you and the others staying here while we go back, Raven?" The Lyrilusc Duelist asked her partner, catching Raven by surprise at hearing this.
The Bird Ignis looked up at Purple Night, before closing her eye. Raven then emerged in her true form, gazing up at the teenage girl. "We're staying with you, of course. We can return here whenever we wish, but it would be best to remain with you all as our next plan of action is discussed with your friends". Raven answered Purple Night, much to the teenage girl's relief at hearing this. They've been together a lot, so to suddenly separate even for a short amount of time, is something she'd rather avoid.
"Okay guys! Time to head back!" White Dragon Mask announced, catching everyone's attention with the four lying down females shooting up from the ground, yet remained seated. "I was just starting to get comfortable". Black Rose Dragon Mask groaned, right before she, Green Witch, Lunalight Dancer and Music Singer climbed up onto their feet.
"Declan? Are you there?" Music Singer asked out loud, bringing her right hand over her ear. 'I am. So are Zion, Kolter, Maleficent and Yusei'. Declan answered the Melodious Duelist, much to her relief at hearing his voice. "Have our partners' friends and family arrived yet?" Yuna asked the president of the Leo Institute, curious to know if the guests they're waiting on have arrived or not.
'They're here alright. All waiting in Declan's office, and quick warning, Eizen's in a bad mood'. Zion warned them, something that White Dragon Mask let out a deep groan at hearing. "Heads up bro, you're about to get punched in the face". Black Rose Dragon Mask said with a grin, earning a growl from White Dragon Mask.
All the Duelists held up their left arms, right before their forms began gleaming a bright light and then disappeared with no trace of them left.

Back inside LID's Control Room; the spheres of data surrounding the forms of Ash, Yusaku, Lulu, Zuzu, Carla, Rin, Rose and Saya cleared completely, right before they all opened their eyes. "Welcome back from your trip to the virtual world". A familiar voice cried from above, catching Rin's attention before she looked up at the platform to see Declan, Zion, Kolter and Maleficent standing there with the Infinity Duelist waving her right hand at them.
"We just got back, and I already miss our world". Blaze remarked from Rose's Duel Disk, back in eye form. Ash walked up to one of the female operators and placed his left hand on her right shoulder, catching the young female's attention. "Start working on a firewall protection for the Cyberse World that we discovered. Make sure that nobody unwanted gets inside or do anything to it". The White Dragon Emperor told her, which the random female nodded to him before resuming her work on her setup.
"Come on guys, let's go see your friends and family in the president guy's office!" Kolter called out with a grin, grabbing Yusaku's full attention, before he looked up at his oldest comrade. "How many people are there, exactly?" The Cyberse Duelist asked his friend with a slightly fearful voice because he still isn't very good with huge crowds of people. "Over 20 people". The purple-haired adult answered, much to Yusaku's discomfort at hearing this.
(3 minutes later/ Play Yu Gi Oh! ARC V Ost 3-Hageshii Koubou)
Ash, Declan, Yusei, Yusaku, Kolter, Maleficent, Zion, Lulu, Zuzu, Celina, Rin, Rose and Saya were all walking down the hallway to Declan's office. Rose had her arms wrapped around Yusei's right arm and leaning her head against him, eyes closed in peace as Yusei rubbed his daughter's head. Rose had missed her father greatly, so she intends to spend as much time with him as possible to make up for lost time.
Saya was holding hands with her uncle Declan, looking up and speaking to him all about her adventures in Yusaku's world. Declan continued to listen to his niece with a soft smile, more than happy to hear what she's experienced in the other world, but what truly interested him the most was hearing how she had a new mentor, or teacher as she referred it to be.
The Bracelet girls were walking together in a group, discussing what they planned to do in the near future now that they're back in the world of four dimensions. Ash and Zion were walking beside one another, both children friends making plans for later afternoon with the rest of the gang to catch up on lost time.
Yusaku and Kolter were walking beside one another, both in the middle of a discussion. And just 2 or 3 feet behind them was Maleficent, staring at the back of Yusaku's head with a flushed face, trying to work up the courage to speak to the Cyberse Duelist, and was failing. It was truly a first for Maleficent since she's never been this nervous around men. Normal, she's completely confident around men and if she wanted, could have them wrapped around her finger with ease.
But ever since she laid her eyes on Yusaku, her heart's been out of control. He's unlike any male she's seen before, he had this sort of presence like Yugi, Jaden, Yusei, Yuma, Yuya and Ash, but it was different in a way. He may not seem overall open and kind like them, but he gave others respect and wasn't arrogant at all. He seemed smart, make flawless moves, doesn't lie or go back on his word and has a strong sense of determination to accomplish his goal. Even his dueling seemed to reflect that of him. Yet he wasn't arrogant to refuse the help of others.
Truly, Yusaku was a man that Maleficent has never seen before. And it was easy for her to admit that she has grown a crush on him that was evolving very quickly. She was under no delusion that it was going to be challenging because Yusaku doesn't really seem like the type to care about romance, but Maleficent had every intention of overcoming that seemingly impossible challenge.
Everyone turned a corner and were now just a few feet away from Declan's office. But then without warning, the doors to Declan's office were kicked open from the inside, much to everyone's surprise. Before they could say anything, someone walked out of the office and into the hallway, before they turned to face them all.
It was Ash and Rose's childhood friend and rival to the White Dragon Emperor; Eizen Atlas, now 18-years-old. The Synchro Duelist still stood an inch or two taller than Ash, wearing a pure black motorcycling suit with red lining. His black hair had grown 5 inches longer than before and is tied in a ponytail. In the 2 years that passed since the Dimensional War; Eizen has officially become the new Master of Faster in New Domino City in the Synchro Dimension.
He's also gone on to be a sponsor for Atlas Motors Incorporated, a Duel Runner corporation designed to test the newest and fastest engines, making Duel Runners have a much more powerful vroom to them. He's one of the most powerful Duelist in the four dimensions, the only one that's been able to defeat him so far is Ash, and it's always been a close call.
The black-haired male's gaze was focused only on Ash, and it was an intense glare filled with pent up anger. "You...!" Eizen growled out, right before he began stomping up towards the White Dragon Emperor. "He doesn't look happy". Wendy commented with a sweat drop, getting a scoff from Carla. "Whatever gave you that impression?" The Cat Ignis asked with a sarcastic voice, both Ignis remaining in eye forms.
Just then; Ginta came right out of the office, expression full of panic as he turned to look at Eizen's back as he drew closer to Ash. He's still wearing the improved version of the Enforcer's uniform that everyone saw him wearing this morning, no real change to it to be honest. As for what he's done these past two years, he joined Sector Security with his father Crow.
Crow had become head of Sector Security, having made sure crime has become even lower than before. He's also had the facility reconstructed into a rehabilitation center meant to help patients and criminals instead of just leaving them locked in a cell. He has also remade the orphanage into a proper house for all the orphans he's adopted over the years, making sure they are taken care of with his wife helping him greatly.
Ginta is now a chief commander of Sector Security and makes sure they catch only the worst criminals, not only in the Synchro Dimension, but the others. He may not be a pro duelist like his other childhood friends, but he was still one heck of a Duelist that most pros can't defeat. He's just focusing on his job and next year, he'll succeed his dad as head of Sector Security.
"Eizen, calm down! You know full well that it was out of Satoshi's hands!" Ginta cried to the new Master of Faster, yet Eizen just ignored him completely and continued on to Ash. And right when he was about a foot away, Eizen brought up his right fist and thrust it forward to Ash's face, yet missed as the White Dragon Emperor leaned to the left. Still, needless to say that Yusaku, Kolter and the Ignis were surprised at what Eizen just tried to do, while the others weren't.
"What the glitch!? Did that guy just try to punch Ash?!" Ai questioned with a wide eye, utterly shocked at how a childhood friend of Azure's partner tried to hit him. "Well, can't say I've ever experience something like this before. This Eizen guy honestly seems like the punch first and ask questions later kind of guy". Kolter commented, both hands in his coat's pockets. "Eizen's more reasonable normally, but when it comes to Ash... He kinda loses all sense". Maleficent told the adult man, stepping up to beside Yusaku on his left.

Ash stared at his oldest rival with narrowed eyes, while Eizen retracted his fist. "After six months of not seeing each other, the first thing you try to do is punch me?! Is there no cure for your stupidity, jackass!" The White Dragon Emperor exclaimed, turning his right hand into a fist, something that Azure noticed and grew a bit worried. "Shut your trap!" Eizen snapped back, before pointing right at Ash's face with his right hand's index finger.
"You and I were meant to have a Turbo Duel that day, but you up and disappeared without a trace! I've been waiting for over six months since then for any word of you!" The black-haired male added, much to Ash's annoyance as he grit his teeth. "I told you already, I had no control over what happened at all!" Ash snapped back at his childhood friend, utterly frustrated at how immature Eizen was acting right now.
"Don't give me excuses!" Eizen responded, then turned his gaze over to Azure and glared at the White Dragon Ignis. "Are you the one responsible for Satoshi's disappearance 6 months ago?" New Domino City's newest Master of Faster questioned Ash's partner, grabbing Azure's attention. Azure turned his gaze over to Eizen, then frowned at him. "I am. Do you have something to say to me?" The White Dragon Ignis questioned, beginning to see why his partner disliked this man before them.
At Azure's question, Eizen narrowed his eyes a little. "...Yuya and the others already told me and the others about it, but I have to ask. Was your kind really under the threat of going extinct and that you needed help?" The black-haired youth questioned Azure with a softer voice than when he was speaking to Ash. Azure blinked in surprise at Eizen's tone, but still gave a nod to him.
"Yes, it was. If I didn't call my partner over, the Knights of Hanoi would have destroyed all of us Ignis. I'm sorry for taking Ash away from here, but I had no choice". The White Dragon Ignis answered, honestly taken back by Eizen's change and how random it was.
Eizen wordlessly stared at Azure for a few moments, before he gave a smile of understanding and nodded to the White Dragon Ignis. "I understand, you have nothing to apologize for. I just wish you could have told us all beforehand, everyone was worried that day". Eizen told Azure, much to his utter bewilderment at what he heard from Ash's oldest rival.
The black-haired man then turned his gaze over to Ash, before he grew a friendly smirk at him. "I heard how you faced these hacker guys and managed to win against them. Nicely done, and welcome back Satoshi". Eizen said to his childhood friend, then held out the right fist for a fist pump. Ash dropped the serious frown and gave a friendly grin back at Eizen. "Thanks, and I'm glad to be home". The White Dragon Emperor replied, before holding out his right fist and pressed it against Eizen's fist, the two old friends doing a successfully fist pump.
Yusaku, Kolter and the Ignis were once again surprised at this rather unexpected development, while everyone else just chuckled. Ginta chuckled with a big grin, then started walking over to Ash. "Satoshi, bring it in man!" The Black-Winged Duelist exclaimed, catching Ash's attention. The White Dragon Emperor turned to look at his approaching friend, then gave out a good-hearted laugh at Ginta. "Hey Ginta, long time no see". Ash greeted his other childhood friend back, then raised his right hand.
Ginta laughed as well, before raising his right hand too. Both childhood friends reared their hands back, then once Ginta was in front of Ash, they threw their hands forward and clapped them together in their usual way. "Looking good, Ginta. Keeping punks from causing trouble?" The White Dragon Emperor asked with a smirk, one that the chief commander of Sector Security returned.
"You bet! Not a single sucker's gotten away from me and my gang! They always try to get away, but that just makes it more fun when they play hard to get". The Black-Winged Duelist answered, before he, Ash and Eizen all started laughing in joy that they were together again.

Azure remained silent, yet he was very intrigued by the relationship his partner had with Eizen and Ginta. 'Humans...can be strange with each other. One minute they seem like they hate each other, the next they're best friends'. The White Dragon Ignis thought to himself, then gave a silent chuckle. 'Though, I don't exactly dislike it. Guess those files I read weren't wrong after all'. Azure added, taking a mental note to talk to Ash about his relationship with Eizen and Ginta.
Speaking of the two; Eizen and Ginta turned their attention over to the girls that went missing as well, but Rose and Rin were the ones that held their attention. "Rose, there you are". The Black-Winged Duelist said out loud with a happy grin, holding both hands out as he walked over to Ash's little sister. Rose returned the smile, unwrapping her arms around Yusei's right arm and took a step forward.
"Hello Ginta. I'm glad to see you're doing well". The Rose Dragon Empress greeted her childhood friend back, right as Ginta stopped in front of Rose. Ginta wrapped both arms around Rose in a big hug, something that caught a giggle from her. Rose then wrapped both arms around Ginta and returned the hug, soul feeling great relief to finally be home with all her friends and family. Blaze remained silent as she wanted her partner to have this moment with an old friend.
Eizen walked up to Rin and stopped in front of her. The Windwitch Duelist tilted her head up to look at the taller man in the eye, while Lulu, Celina and their Ignis partners watched silently. Eizen grew a friendly grin at Rin, then crossed both arms. "I'm glad to see you're doing well, Angry Girl". The black-haired male greeted, much to Rin's comical anger at the nickname, while Lulu and Carla giggled. The Ignis, Wendy especially, grew a bit confused at the way Eizen refereed to Rin.
"And I see you still haven't learned how to properly treat a lady". Rin greeted back with her teeth angrily gritted from that hated nickname Eizen has for her since childhood. Eizen gave a scoff as he looked away to the side. "I actually do know how to treat a lady the right way. You though, aren't a lady". The black-haired boy stated, much to Rin's further enragement. Her left hand started twitching with the sounds of bones cracking, a small sign of how badly she wanted to punch Eizen.
Lulu and Celina quickly wrapped their arms around Rin's arms to contain her from acting out of anger. "Now, now Rin, calm down. Eizen always taunts you like this, it's nothing new, so there's no reason to get upset and hit him". Lulu said to her Synchro counterpart in hopes she'll calm down and not turn this happy occasion into a fist fight. "What Lulu said, besides it's my job to teach punks a lesson in life". Celina stated, then turned her gaze over to Eizen and glared at him.
Eizen didn't so much as flinch at Celina's glare, having seen more intimidating things than that. The 18-year-old male's gaze then landed on Yusaku, which the Cyberse Duelist noticed and broke into a single sweat. "Ho?" Eizen narrowed his eyes at Yusaku, then walked towards him, much to Yusaku's mental alarm. "Oh boy. Here he comes, get ready for anything". Ai advised his partner, then closed his eye to avoid drawing Eizen's attention.
Eizen stopped right in front of Yusaku, both males staring at each other in the eye. When it came to height, Eizen was the taller one just by a mere inch or two, but that didn't matter one bit to Yusaku. Both males were silent, everyone watching this rather intense moment in silence. Eventually, it was Eizen that broke the silence. "You're that Duelist from the other world that defeated Yuya. Yusaku Fujiki's your name, right?" New Domino City's newest Master of Faster asked the younger female, a question that Yusaku raised an eyebrow at.
Still, the Cyberse Duelist nodded to Eizen, seeing no reason to hide who he is. "That's right, I am". Yusaku answered Eizen, keeping slightly on guard just in case things go south. Eizen grew silent for another few moments, just staring at Yusaku with calculating eyes, but eventually gave a nod of his head. "You're different from the usual people that Satoshi usually hangs out with. Still, I can see why you were able to beat that clown". New Domino City's newest Master of Faster stated, then turned around with his back facing Yusaku.
"I look forward to when we duel. Make sure to actually give me a challenge". Eizen told the younger male, then began walking away. Yusaku blinked in shock and alarm, before he held his right hand out in an effort to stop this. "Wait, I'd rather-" The Cyberse Duelist began, only to stop when Saya cut in and spoke. "Don't bother trying to stop him. When Uncle Eizen finds a strong opponent that catches his interest, nothing can stop him from dueling that person". The 7-year-old girl told Yusaku, giving the teenage boy a sympathetic smile.
Yusaku gritted his teeth at Saya's words as he could tell she's not joking around, meaning he's gonna get forced into a duel with this rather proud individual. "Well, good luck against him Yusaku. Eizen's one of the best Duelist in the four dimensions and he's got this super powerful Level 12 Synchro monster that hardly anyone can defeat. You're gonna need your A game to have any hopes of winning". Rose told her newest friend, stepping out of her hug with Ginta and went back to wrapping her arms around Yusei's right arm.
Yusaku tilted his head down in anime depression from their words, Kolter giving a nervous chuckle as he patted Yusaku's right shoulder in a halfhearted attempt to comfort him for his unchanging fate. Maleficent was gently rubbing Yusaku's left shoulder, giving it her full effort to comfort the Cyberse Duelist. Everyone else just chuckled as they stared at the three, before Eizen stopped beside Ash and looked at the younger male over his right shoulder.
Just then, two familiar voices came from the open doors to Declan's office. "Satoshi?/ Rose?" Everyone turned to look at Declan's open office doors, where they saw a pair of twins peeking out of the room, watching them. Ash and Rose both sharply gasped at seeing them because the pair of twins were actually their younger adopted siblings; Leo and Luna.
Both twins have grown magnificently these past two years. Leo's grown a good six inches and Luna is taller by five inches. The older twin was wearing a long sleeve blue shirt, a dark red jacket over it, black jeans, blue and white boots and last, but not least, grey fingerless gloves much like Ash's own set of gloves. As for Luna, her hair is now longer with her now putting it in twin tails. She now wears a form fitting short pink dress with maroon pants and grey shoes.
Both twins had accomplished much in the 2 shorts years, despite their young age. Leo is now studying to both become a mechanic and also a teacher on machine dueling. He still has his dream to become a pro Turbo Duelist, but for now was focusing on another goal of his. As for Luna, is focusing on becoming a zoologist mostly duo to her love of animals and also the Spirit World creatures. She doesn't duel as much anymore, almost to the point that she's retired, but can still duel magnificently.
Both Dragon Emperor and Empress smiled at seeing their younger siblings again, while Leo and Luna both grew relived smiles at seeing them again. "You're both really back. Thank goodness". Luna said with pure relief, right hand resting on her chest. "We've been worried sick about you guys". Leo stated, both him and Luna walking out of the office and into the hallway.
"About time. I was getting tired waiting". Another familiar voice came from inside the office, right before another pair of twins, this time around the same age as Ash and the others, walked out into the hallway. It was Ash's foster siblings from the Xyz Dimension; Shark "Reginald" Kastle and Rio Kastle, both 16-years-old now.
Shark is now wearing a light blue and red jacket over a dark blue shirt with purple stripes pants and black boots. His hair has now gotten spiker and resembled how it was when Shark was Nasch, the Barian Emperor. As for Rio, she wears a dark blue tailcoat, white vest with light blue fingerless gloves, white and blue pants and blue bird earrings. Her hair was now fully down to her waist, much like in her Brian form.
Both Kastle siblings have graduated, despite their young age, but it wasn't really unsurprising due to them having knowledge of their past lives. Shark has become a marine biologist studying different types of carnivorous fish and how they defend themselves and also how they devour certain fish to survive and thrive. He's also opened his own aquarium filled with various fish from around the world. Of course, his Dueling hasn't gotten rusty, he keeps on improving, just didn't take the path of a pro Duelist.
As for Rio, she is now a bird and penguin documentarist studying various birds and penguins around the world. She also hosts her own nature talk show life and climate of birds around the dimensions. Lulu even intends to work with Rio on documenting every bird in the four dimensions once she graduates as well. As for Rio's Dueling, she still keeps at it, even is a famous Dueling, but not a pro yet. Although she has been considering becoming one.
And as for the Kastle family in general, they're still one of the famous and high-class families of Heartland City, even more so thanks to the efforts of Ash, Shark and Rio. The family head, their father, hasn't retired yet noir has he made his choice on who to make his successor. But that really didn't bother the three since they all had their own futures to accomplish.
Rio's face lit up in joy at the sight of her adopted brother. "Satoshi!" The teenage female exclaimed in joy, before she ran over to Ash and wrapped her arms around him in a hug, one that the White Dragon Emperor returned happily. Shark walked up next to his siblings and placed his left hand on Ash's shoulder, catching the older male's attention. "We heard what happened to you, and how it's related to what happened 10 years ago. When you got the time, tell us everything, okay". Shark requested, wanting to hear the whole story from his older adopted brother.
Ash nodded to Shark, fully intending to do just that when he has the chance. Shark then gave a grin, raising his hand from Ash's shoulder and held it up. The White Dragon Emperor returned the grin, then grasped Shark's left hand with his own left hand in a brotherly manner. Seeing their older brother busy with his other family, Leo and Luna went over to Rose and Yusei. The two females wrapped their arms around each other in a hug, before Rose raised her left hand to rub Leo's head in a loving manner.
Everyone else watched them silently, allowing the siblings to have their moment with each other. Yusaku, Kolter and Ai, however, were confused since they didn't know the relationship these people had with their comrades. Yusaku turned to look at Maleficent, who had a happy smile on her face, and spoke to her. "Who are those people that Ash and Rose seem happy to see?" He asked the Infernity Duelist, snapping Maleficent out of her daze.
She turned to look at Yusaku, then flushed a bit at seeing his gaze on her. The Cyberse Duelist raised an eyebrow at her flushed face, but before he could ask Maleficent if something was wrong with her, she spoke. "The two that are with Rose are Leo and Luna, they're the younger adopted siblings of her and Ash". Maleficent answered, much to the surprise of the two other worldly visitors and the Dark Ignis.
Before they could speak, Maleficent continued as she turned her gaze to Rio and Shark. "And those two with Satoshi are his younger adopted siblings; Rio Kastle and Reginald Kastle, but he prefers to be called Shark". The white-haired female added, yet that just confused Yusaku, Kolter and Ai. "Ummm, don't you mean they're Ash and Rose's adopted siblings?" Kolter questioned Maleficent, which she shook her head in response.
"No, not really. Ash was separated from his family at a young age because of some madman and ended up at an orphanage with memory lost. It was there that he was adopted by the Kastle family". The Infernity Duelist explained to them, gesturing to the Kastle siblings with her left hand, and the Fudo siblings with the right hand. "Wow... That's a bit complicated". Kolter stated with an awkward smile on his face, getting a scoff from Zion as he walked up to beside the older male. "Compared to other stuff, that's not the most complicated thing". The black-haired youth stated, placing both hands on his hips.
Then, everyone that had gathered inside Declan's office started coming out, catching everyone's attention as they looked to see family and old friends. Ash and the girls couldn't keep themselves from growing overjoyed smiles at seeing them all here to welcome them all back, while their Ignis partners gazed at these people before them.
Standing in the hallway were everyone's friends, family and mentors; Yugi Motto, Téa Gardner, Joey, Seto Kaiba, Mokuba Kaiba, Jaden Yuki, Blair Flannigan, Zane Truesdale, Syrus Truesdale, Tyranno Hassleberry, Aster Phoenix, Chazz, Dr. Crowler, Sheppard, Nightshroud (Atticus), Jessie, Jack, Carly, Akiza, Kalin, Misty, Bruno, Sherry, Clara, Crow, Yuma, Tori, Kite, Dextra, Yuya, Krystal, Sylvio, Gong, Shay, Dennis, Moon Shadow, Skip, Yuto, Ines, Yugo, Ayla, Yuri, Althea, Yusho, Leo Akaba, Alan, Sayaka, Riley, Allie, Frederick and Tate.
Everyone has truly changed and accomplished much since the Dimension War ended 2 years ago. Yugi now wears a light blue shirt and pure light grey jacket over it, along with a red choker. He had grey pants with a black belt around his waist. Yugi's hair has also grown longer, along with him now having grown to Atem's neck in height. Finally, he was also wearing fingerless black and blue gloves. The Millenium Puzzle was gone once more, in Shadi's care and Atem had return to the afterlife.
Yugi has his own game shop now called "Yami No Game", a sort of tribute to both his Grandpa and also to Atem. He's done well, been releasing new types of games that haven't been scene before that take inspiration from Duel Monsters. He has even created a Pokémon treading card game with some help from Ash, something that the White Dragon Emperor has been keeping secret from the Pokémon World friends since he doesn't want them to get ticked off.
Tea's now wearing a light orange shirt dress and black high heels along with a red bracelet around her wrist. Her hair has grown longer, now reaching her waist. Tea has become a world-famous dancer and singer, plus does tons of shows to make people smile and be in awe of her amazing music/dance skills. She's also become big success as a Duelist, and is still climbing her way up. Tea's deck that she calls "Wave of Light", is a good fit for her, but she still has a way to go.
Joey has become an intercontinental champion and now teaches luck dueling at Duel Academy, wanting to teach young duelist how luck cards can help win a duels. Joey was wearing the exact same clothes during the events with the Seal of Orichalcos, only the jacket was pure black now and the shirt was red. His hair was also exactly like it was in the events with the Plana.
Seto Kaiba now wasn't president of Kaiba Corporation, but was something more now. He's now opened up more theme parks around all four dimensions and is the president of all of them, each one being named after a specific duelist and such. Of coruse, he hasn't slacked off on Dueling. He's still one of the top Duelists of the four dimensions, just doesn't have much time to duel. He now wears an exact copy of the clothes he wore during the events with the Plana, only the jacket had changed colours with the shirt, pants and shoes, like a reversal.
Mokuba has now taken over as CEO of Kaiba Corp after Seto stepped down to run his theme parks and has made tons of new games, even helped with creating the Pokémon trading card game. He has made time for dueling as well, but is very busy to find time for improvement. As for what he wears now, he's wearing a copy of the suit he wore during the events with the Plana, only it is light blue and with a black tie.
Jaden has become a world-famous duelist and teacher as he duels to teach new kids about how duels are meant to be about fun, it also helps that he's able to talk with his Duel Spirits for some help on what he's teaching. As for his looks, he diched his Supreme King armor for a copy of the Slifer Red uniform he wore in the last few months of his third school year, only it's different. He now wears a pure black jacket with red stripes coming down the sides, and a dark red shirt and light black pants with white lightning bolts all across them. He's also wearing pointed red and grey boots, finally his hair had grown longer, now reaching his neck and is spikey in both sides.
Blair, still attending Duel Academy, has officially become the Queen of Obelisk Blue, having taken over since Alexis and Jayden graduated. Her dream now is to eventually become the head of Obelisk Blue as its dorm leader. As for her Dueling, she's still doing great with her Thunder Dragon deck, yet seemed to have reached a dead end on how to improve her deck. As for Blair's looks, she has cut her hair making it shorter. She is now wearing a white high collar jacket over blue shirt and white short pants, plus black high heels. In addition she grew 5 inches and now reaches Jayden's head in terms of height.
Zane is now the official owner of Kaiser Duel Arena, basically Zane's version of the underground duels from his previous life, only no shock collars due to the risk they cause to the heart. He's also called the Kaiser of the ring, its undefeated champion. As for Zane's appearance; he's a bit taller and now wears a silver version of his Hell Kaiser attire he wore two years ago. His hair has grown out by a few inches and he now wears fingerless black gloves.
Syrus has become a champion pro duelist, and is next in line to run the duel ring Zane owns. Syrus has also become a teacher at the new Duel Academy, particularly the teacher of machine dueling. It's honestly a fun thing for Syrus. For Syrus' looks, he's gotten rid of his glasses since he no longer needs them. His clothes are a dark red version of his old Obelisk Blue coat with a dark grey long sleeved shirt, black long pants and boots.
Hasslelberry has become the lead instructor on Dino Combat Dueling. He has even opened up his own academy thanks to the funding he got from both Jaden and several professors. The name of his Academy was called "Dino Academy", a bit blend, but it worked for everyone. Hassleberry's wearing a dark green sleeveless jacket over a silver shirt, he still has the same cap, long dark brown track pants and brown boots.
Aster is now the new vice chancellor of Duel Academy thanks to both his former training as head commander and due to the fact, he does have extensive knowledge of the game. With his memories of his past life, Aster isn't just focused on teaching Duelists to duel for smiles, but with determination to face whatever comes their way. And as for clothes, he changed his military rank clothes for a white and black version of the suit he wore in his past life.
Chazz has, surprisingly, become the new chancellor of Duel Academy. He actually, after the war, went back and finished up school before applying for head chancellor of Duel Academy. That was a surprise for everyone, and him actually managing to become the chancellor was an even bigger surprise. He's made good choices so far, allowing students from other dimensions to join Duel Academy. For clothes, he's wearing a copy of his dark clothes he wore in the past life, only with dark purple stripes apart of it now.
Dr. Crowler and former Chancellor Shepard have retired, with both of them ditching the Duel Academy wardrobes. Crowler doesn't really duel anymore and just wants to relax nowadays, while Shepard, on the other hand, decided to spend the rest of his time as a mentor for the next generation of Cyber Duelist since Cyber Dragons and other Cyber cards have been released thanks to Ash, Yugi and the others. Crowler now wears a grey shirt and black pants, and Shepard wore the same outfit that he had when he dueled against Zane in their previous life for the Cyberdark Deck.
Nightshroud has been competing in the professional circuit, not as Atticus, but his former dark alter ego. At first it was a bit weird for him after recovering his memories, but Nightshroud got over it quickly. He's got tons of fans who love his bad boy persona with him also becoming the host of his own radio called "Show Dueling", staring the best duels all the time. He's also grown a little bit, and his Nightshroud outfit was the same, only a bit darker with hints of red.
Jessie's become a famous jewel searcher, finding rare jewels thought to be lost for millions of years, until he finds them that is. The Crystal Beasts help their good friend with his new passion, tracking the jewels through the lost energy they let out. Jessie now wears a dark green version of his original clothes, along with a nifty scarf around the neck the same colour as his hair. Speaking of his hair, it has grown a little.
As mentioned before, Jack has officially retired as King of New Domino and now works at his own Duel Runner stadium named "The King's Stadium". He runs this stadium with his wife; Carly, who is now the chief of a news channel called "5D's News", the number 1 news bracket in the four dimensions, giving out the latest scoop of the dimensions to everyone. And if anyone tried anything with them, Carley would show them why she's the wife of New Domino's former King and head of 5D's News. Jack is still wearing his famed outfit he wore in this and in the old life, while Carly wears the Dark Signer outfit in her previous life, just not one anymore.
In these last two years; Akiza, besides having now become a head doctor and helper with Fudo Incorporated, she's also become a physical therapist and sociologist with helping many other gifted young physics and people who have broken or dislocated body parts. She's also found a way to use her psychic powers to help in treating incurable diseases. She's truly become a doctor that her whole family were proud of beyond words.
Bruno is now head of a company called "Syncros Acceleration" and maintenance at Fudo Inc. He also designs his own Duel Runner programs, along with colors and features added to all future Duel Runners. He's also a professor on Accel Synchro and Double Tuning for all future duelists. Sherry helps her husband from time to time, but is more focused on her job. Sherry is now officially teaching a French class style of dueling along with a fencing class, even sometimes dueling her students personally.
Clara is now leading her own riding team and has participated in many Turbo Duel tournaments around the four dimensions. She's also an action star appearing on a lot of famous shows, plus she's become quite popular as a stunt daredevil that alot of people idolize. Finally, she teaches a stunts class at her mom's school very often. And sometimes when she travels, she drags Yugo and Ayla with her.
Kallin is now the sheriff of his own town just a bit away from New Domino City called "Enforcer Town", which is just like the Wild West from his past life, only with a more modern spin on it with movies and such. The once Dark Signer now wears a grey trench coat over a black shirt, black pants with grey boots. He cut his hair to make it shorter like in the old days back in his past life as the Enforcer's leader.
And his wife, Misty, is still a world-famous actress, but now she's a stunt devil, having done several fashion magazines while posing in the sky. She still spends much time with her family, yet has to travel around often for her job. As for what she wears nowadays; Misty is now wearing a black dress and green high heels plus a black gem necklace.
Yuma, despite only being 15-years-old, was now a world-famous explorer like his dad. He still goes to school, but mostly misses out and it's rare for him to even go a week without leaving to go exploring. He's not as much of a goofball anymore still has his funny moments but not as many as before. Also, he's been finding many hidden treasures around the world. Despite becoming an explorer, Yuma's love for Dueling hasn't diminished in the slightest. He's Dueled so many opponents, and has become a pro duelist as well, most likely the best in Heartland.
And in these past 2 years; he's grown a few more inches, now matching Ash in height. He now wears a dark red jacket and long sleeve shirt, dark grey pants and red shoes. He's also now wearing full on black fingerless gloves with red lightning bolts on them, in edition he's now wearing a silver belt. Yuma's hair is now longer, mainly the red highlights and back part of his hair now reaches his neck. Finally around his neck is the Emperor's Key, the only key to creating a gateway to Astral World.
Tori has become a famous cheerleader captain, having led her team to victory in numerous tournaments and such. She's also the lead conductor of her own band, even having made some really good songs, one of their bests is "Challenging the Game", "Going My Way" and more. She sometimes go with Yuma on his adventures since she's his girlfriend. As for her and Dueling, she has retired since it's never been her cup of tea, but still plays the game from time to time.
Tori's hair has grown and is now longer, reaching her back. She no longer wears her ribbon, having grown out of it. For clothes, Tori wears a dark green shirt and light blue shorts with teal shoes. Finally, she had a purple hair pin in her hair that was a gift from Yuma.
Kite has become an astronomer and astronaut, now exploring much of the cosmos in search of new secrets and life. He's still one of the best Duelists in the four dimensions, yet doesn't participates in any tournaments. He's never really planned to make a career out of Dueling, yet can still easily defeat most of the pro duelists. He wears his Photon jacket and pants, only full on red with white highlights and white boots. Two white and black fingerless gloves on, and his hair has grown a few inches down the back.
Dextra has become the owner of her own butterfly pavilion and has tours about the many different butterflies and such that exist in the four dimensions. Her relationship with Kite was still growing strong that it had reached the point everyone's waiting for one of them to propose. She now wears a red jacket over a black shirt with a black and red dress skirt and red high heels for footwear. She is also wearing burgundy fingerless gloves and last of all, her hair is slightly longer.
Skip has full on retired as principal of the You Show Duel School and now spends his days relaxing and enjoying life. He does now run his own duel team and teaches them about hot blooded dueling. Skip's hair has grown 2 inches longer, he's traded his old in his track suit for a black shirt, blue flame jacket over the shirt, black jeans and tennis shoes.
Yuto has graduated from high school, despite being 16-years-old, and has now become a professor on Rank-Up Evolution in dueling at Heartland University. The Phantom Knights Duelist now wears a black professor's lab coat over a grey shirt, red tie, dark purple jeans and a black belt. Yuto's hair has grown 5 inches with the purple highlights having now grow on the back on his hair.
Yuto's girlfriend; Ines, Krystal's Xyz counterpart, has grown more beautiful since the Dimension War 2 years ago. Her pure white hair that was short 2 years ago, is now much longer as it reached the back of her waist. blue eyes like the ocean and is below-average height still. She's wearing pitch black outfit, consisting of a tied shawl with a high collar, a black, long-sleeved shirt, a gown and violet stockings with purple shoes. On her hands were black fingerless gloves with a gun symbol on the back of them.
Unlike her boyfriend, Ines is still in High School, not because she is lacking compared to Yuto, she's just staying in school because she isn't in a rush to graduate. With the war over, she laid down her gun hybrid Duel Disk and returned to a girl that just duels for fun now. Though she has been thinking of creating an animal sanctuary for all animals due to her love of them. It will take a bit of time to be fully created, but Ines was patient.
As for Yusho, he has now opened multiple branches of the You Show Duel School in all four dimensions with him as headmaster. Of course, he comes back to Pendulum to help his son out from time to time, and of course, stays at home with his family. And as for his wardrobe nowadays, he now wears a pure white tux with red gloves. He's shaven off his facial hair and now has a clean shave on his face. Yusho also sporting a new white and red top hat and a black cane with Sky Magician as the head of it.
Yugo is now a Turbo Dueling legend and has opened his own racing course thanks to financial support from Declan and such, has made it the top Turbo Duel track in all of the Synchro Dimension. Ayla supports her boyfriend in his new business as his trusted secretary, but beside that, she enjoys her life in New Domino City's new Duel Academy since she's always wanted to go to school.
As for their looks; he now wears a pure green and blue jacket over a dark grey shirt, blue pants with black stripes. Yugo also now wears blue and white boots, and his hair has grown a few inches with the yellow bangs having black stripes on them. Ayla's hair had grown just a bit longer, now reaching her butt. She now wears a white sundress and white high heels.
Yuri is now an herbalist who studies different and venomous plants and runs both his own garden and flower shop. He now wears a purple and red suit with dark red gloves to help his fingers when dealing with his plants especially the four most dangerous flytraps he has. Yuri's hair has grown 7 inches longer, nearly covering his left eye. Althea helped her boyfriend out with his new job as an herbalist, making sure he doesn't go overboard with his work. Both of them had retired from Duel Academy, yet their skills as Duelist continued to grow.
Althea's looks hadn't changed much. Her long light blue hair that was tied into pigtails 2 years ago, was now free and flowed down her back, almost reaching the ground. As for what she wears; Althea has on an off the shoulder short dark blue dress, fitted bodice with a short puff sleeves & wide flared skirt with black tulle short petticoat & black bow at the back with black lace trim on the neckline and edges of puff sleeves. Black sheer tights and finally, black high heels.
Leo Akaba has spent a lot of time repeating for his actions and such, having stepped down as director of Duel Academy and is now working full time with his son and wife on researching how to make the dimensions better. He's also now become a lead researcher, researching the effects of the virtual world, having been looking for a way to send people to cyberspace. he now wears his old white lab coat grey shirt, pants and boots. He has even regrown his hair and gotten the mechanical implant removed from his head.
Alan is now on his way to becoming a conductor of his own train station, having gotten his official license to run a train, despite his young age. He's also received funding for the train project as it will deliver goods to all 4 dimensions. Alan still duels, just hasn't chosen the path of a pro Duelist. His sister Anna helps him out, but her main focus nowadays was trying to win Yuma's heart, just like 2 years ago. He now wears a red conductor's outfit with a black top hat and his hairs has grown a few inches longer.
Finally Sayaka, she's now the leader of her own orchestra, having gone on to lead the Heartland Birds to various victories. Sayaka still duels, just not as much now. If anything, she's focusing more on a life outside of Dueling for now. But perhaps she'll try taking the path of a pro duelist soon. She now wears contacts and no longer needs glasses, although Ash preferred it if she didn't use those things to help with her eyesight. She now wears a purple female music conductor's outfit with grey purple gloves, a light violet tie and black shoes.
All in all, everyone's been well and done remarkable since the dimension war ended 2 years ago. Speaking of which, everyone grew either expressions full of joy, a relived face or just simply grinned at seeing their missing family finally home. All of them cried out their names, before surrounding Ash, Lulu, Rose, Rin, Celina, Zuzu and Saya in seconds.
Ash and the girls couldn't help the overjoyed smiles they grew at seeing their friends and family again. They felt all the fighting, struggling and sadness they experienced in the other world was worth it at this moment, finally home with their friends and family. And as for their Ignis partners, they remained silent for the moment to let their humans have this moment as they deserved it.
Off to the side; Yusaku, Kotler, Maleficent, Zion and Ai watched. The three other world residents couldn't keep growing a small smile at seeing their friends reunite with their love ones after half a year. The pair of siblings were just happy everything was right again with their family.
The war was over, but another was soon to take its place. But for now, the heroes of LINK VRAINS have deserved some time to themselves with their friends and family.

Ash stood in the men's bathroom of the Leo Corporation, Duel Disk still attached to his left forearm, ready to make his journey to the world of Pokémon. Earlier after everyone had gotten their bearings back after seeing Ash and the girls again, they all returned to Declan's office. Turns out that Yuya and the rest of the Lancers told them all what happened six months ago and where their friends had been.
Ash and the girls then introduced everyone to their Ignis partners, Yusaku, Kolter and Ai. Everyone got along with Azure and the Ignis girls feeling honored to meet their partners' loved ones. Leo Akaba was especially interested with the Ignis since they could help him big time in his goal of transporting people to cyberspace. Kalin and Misty were interested in Yusaku because they were easily able to see their daughter's interest in him, something that the married couple were happy to see. Finally, Crow and Ginta bonded with Kolter due to their love of food.
After everything had settled down, everyone made plans to hold a welcome home party for Ash and the girls. Talks for the future can wait, for now everyone just wanted to celebrate. No objections were raised, and everyone started getting ready. Ash was the only to go, telling everyone that he still had one last place to visit before he could join them. It was no wonder for everyone where Ash was going, except for Yusaku, Kolter, Ai and the female Ignis. Leaving it to everyone else to tell them; Ash left with Azure and headed to the bathroom, where the White Dragon Emperor could teleport without concern.
Azure emerged from his partner's Duel Disk and let out a deep sigh. "I have to admit; that was a bit overbearing". The White Dragon Ignis stated, then turned to look up at Ash with a kind expression. "Your family and friends really do love you and the others, don't they". Azure added, having no need to question his partner since the answer was obvious.
Ash glanced down at his partner, then nodded with a smile. "Of course. We've all been through so much together; we rarely have an argument nowadays". The White Dragon Emperor told his partner with a hint of joy in his voice. "I see. Still, I must admit that I'm very impressed with your friends. They're still in their maturing years, yet they've already accomplished what could takes years to accomplish. Truly, humans can reach incredible heights if they try". Azure remarked, thinking back to what his partner told him about his young friends that already left school and have amazing jobs.
Ash gave a small chuckle at his Ignis partner, then faced forward. "Now, it's finally time to go back to the world of Pokémon". The White Dragon Emperor declared, much to Azure's excitement at hearing. "About time. I was getting a bit impatient waiting". Azure stated, before he retracted into the Duel Disk's orb and returned to eye form. "Well, wait no longer! Because the time is here!" Ash exclaimed, before raising his right hand and held it out.
The White Dragon Emperor's eyes blazed with crimson fire, before a crimson, swirling portal then appeared right in front of the White Dragon Emperor, a portal to the Pokémon world. Ash lowered the right hand, and then blinked with his eyes returning to normal. "My word. I never really saw much of your powers before, but to create a portal to another world is magnificent". The White Dragon Ignis commented, amazed with the powers his partner has in his control.
Ash gave a chuckle in response, then turned his gaze towards the portal in front of him. It honestly felt like a dream right now to the White Dragon Emperor, because he was finally returning to the world that changed his life years ago. Giving a small gulp, Ash gathered his resolve and walked straight into the crimson portal, disappearing immediately after walking into it. A second later, the portal disappeared without a single trace.

Atop a small hill overlooking the entire town of Pallet Town, a crimson swirling portal appeared next to a tree. Ash walked out of the portal, but not in his usual body, but in his Pokémon world body.
Ash's Pokémon world body had the size of a normal middle teenage boy. He had tan skin and warm brown eyes. His raven black hair and eyebrows appeared to be sharp. He had on a black wide brimmed Fedora hat with jagged edges and a blue band in the centre with a yellow symbol, an exact copy of Sir Aaron's hat. Draped over his shoulders was a long black cape with a cowl neck and a single clasp at neck falling in jagged edges hem line at the bottom, over a dark blue, almost black long sleeve and high collar shirt. He wore black dressy jeans and forma adventure boots of the same colour that reached midcalf. On his back was a large black and blue backpack. Finally, he had black fingerless gloves on both hands with a Z-Power Ring around the wrist left wrist, right underneath his Duel Disk.
Azure gave out a startled cry upon seeing his partner's other body, while Ash brought up his right hand and looked at it. "Nothing's changed with this body since my last visit. Good". The White Dragon Emperor said to himself, then grasped his right hand into a fist. "I read about it, but it's hard to believe after seeing it! You really do have two bodies that you use whenever you're in this world or any other?!" Azure questioned his partner with a loud voice, catching Ash's attention as he gazed down at the Ignis.
"Yeah, I do. It's kinda a gift from this world's god; Arceus. I immediately change to this body whenever I come back to this world. But don't worry, I'll change back once we leave". The White Dragon Emperor informed his partner, much to Azure's fascination at learning this. "Really? Tell me, what is it like having two different bodies?" Azure asked Ash with a curious voice, which the teenage boy gave a shrug of his shoulders. "Not really that different from the other. It just feels right in a way". Ash answered, then turned his gaze to Pallet Town below.
"I see. Anyway, what's our destination for now?" Azure asked with a curious voice, turning his eye up towards Ash. "We're heading to my house first. I wanna check on my Mum and see if Pikachu's there". The White Dragon Emperor answered, placing both hands in his pants' pockets and started walking down the hill. "I understand. Hopefully nothing dramatic happened in your absence". The Ignis remarked, pleading that nothing awful happened here like in Ai's world.
Ash gave no reply to Azure's words, though he couldn't help himself from worrying about his Mother and Pokémon. This small bit of anxiety remained within the teenage boy as he walked down the hill, entered Pallet Town and walked towards his house. So far everything looked right. The streets were as peaceful as ever, wild Pokémon lived in harmony with the town's people and no sign of trouble or disaster was visible.
Ash came across a few of Pallet Town's people on the walk back to his home. He greeted them all warmly, which they returned in the same way as they have all missed him. Much to his relief, they told him his mother was doing alright and was at his house right now. However, he did grew curious at learning she had a visitor over right now. All through the whole time, Azure remained silent, but he was full amazement at seeing the Kanto Region Pokémon apart of Pallet Town.
Eventually, the White Dragon Emperor turned a corner, and his house was in sight. It hasn't changed at all in the past 2 years, but that was fine for Ash because it was perfect just the way it is. And at the front of the familiar house was the family Pokémon that stayed and looked after Ash's mum in his absence; Mr. Mime.
Mr. Mime is a bipedal, humanoid Pokémon. Blue growths resembling clown hair extend from the sides of its pale pink head, and there is a magenta circle on each cheek. Its jaw is curved inward, resembling the mouth of a wooden dummy. It has a round, white body with a magenta spot in the middle, light pink arms and legs that connect to its body via magenta spheres, and small white coverings over its knees. Its white hands resemble gloves with magenta pads on the tips of its white fingers and its dark blue feet curl upward at the tips. And it wore a green apron as it sweep the dusty ground with a broom.
Ash let out an overjoyed chuckle, while Azure was fascinated at seeing Mr. Mime. Raising his right hand into the air to wave at it, Ash called out to the Psychic and Fairy Type. "Mr. Mime, hey!" The White Dragon Emperor cried out, immediately grabbing Mr. Mime's attention. "Mime, Mr. Mine?" The Psychic and Fairy Type said in confusion, turning its head left.
Mr. Mine then grew a wide smile at seeing the raven-haired boy, while Ash lowered his right hand as he started walking towards the Psychic and Fairy Type. "Mr. Mime!" Mr. Mime exclaimed in joy, before turning around and ran up to the house's front door. The Psychic and Fairy-Type opened the door and stepped in, right as Ash walked up to the house. "Mime! Mr. Mime!" It cried out in a happy manner, crying out to the house's owner.
Ash walked into the house and stopped right behind Mr. Mime. "I'm home!" He announced, immediately hearing gasps of shock from the living room. Both Ash and Mr. Mine walked down the hall and turned into the living room, where a completely unexpected sight welcomed Ash. Sitting across from each other were his mother; Delia Ketchum, and old friend from Fula City; Risa.
In the past 2 years since he last saw her; Risa has become a world-famous journalist, getting all the latest scoops on anything new happening in the Pokémon world. Of course she hasn't given up on being a star athlete. She's actually gone pro, but being a journalist is her more well-known job. She's wearing a red form fitting dress, black high tops and a red gem necklace around her neck. Lastly, red high heels as well.
Ash's Pokémon World mum: Delia Ketchum still looked exactly how he remembered on the day he started his journey, despite now being 35-years-old. Her mahogany-colored hair was still tied in a ponytail with a blue hairband and her amber eyes were full of life. But there was something incredibly wrong as Ash looked at her. Delia was wearing a pink nightgown and was barefooted, but that wasn't what was wrong. It was her stomach, it was stretched and extended.
But that wasn't gaining weight belly, it was a pregnant belly.

Both Risa and Delia looked at Ash with wide eyes, while he stared at his mother with eyes full of disbelief. The last time Ash had seen Delia before he was taken to Yusaku's world was a week before, but she was still single, much less pregnant. So, to suddenly see her bearing someone's child inside of her is a bit of a shock to the system to the White Dragon Emperor. Azure was surprised as his partner, yet remained silent because he didn't want to freak anyone out.
"Ash!?" Both females gasped once more, surprised yet overjoyed to see him finally back after nearly half a year. "M-Mum...! Y-You're...pregnant!?" The White Dragon Emperor stuttered, raising his shaking right hand and pointed the index finger at Delia's pregnant stomach. Delia blinked at her son, then glanced down at her pregnant belly and grew a smile of understanding.
The adult woman turned to look at Ash, but just as she opened her mouth to speak, a sudden cry came out of nowhere from upstairs. "PIKAPI!" A familiar voice cried out, snapping Ash out of his dazed at hearing that cry. The raven-haired boy slightly turned and looked up the staircase to the second floor, where he saw a welcome sight. There, at the end of the staircase to upstairs was his best friend and number one Pokémon partner; Pikachu.
Azure turned his eye to look up towards his partner's Pokémon starter and took in Pikachu's appearance. It was covered in yellow fur with two horizontal brown stripes on its back. It had a small mouth, long, pointed ears with black tips, and brown eyes. Each cheek had a red circle that contained a pouch. It had short forearms with five fingers on each paw, and its feet each had three toes. At the base of its lightning bolt-shaped tail is a patch of brown fur. 'This Pikachu really is a mouse!' Azure mentally shouted out in shock, before quickly closing his eye.
Ash grew an overjoyed smile at seeing his best friend again after half a year. "Pikachu!" The teenage boy exclaimed in joy, before holding his hands up towards Pikachu. The Electric Mouse grew an overjoyed smile and even began shedding tears. "Pika pi!" The Electric Mouse cried out, getting down on all four before leaping into the air and began falling down towards his best friend.
Ash tilted his head up, then held both hands up as well. Pikachu fell into his best friend's arms, and Ash caught the Electric Type easily, before bringing Pikachu into a big hug. "I've missed you too, buddy. I'm so sorry that it took me this long to come back". The White Dragon Emperor apologized to his best friend, feeling a sense of guilt for all the worry Pikachu and everyone else must have felt at him being away for so long.
"Pikachu pi, pika pi". Pikachu told his best friend, nuzzling against the teenage boy's left cheek. Even though he didn't understand his best friend's words completely, Ash knew that Pikachu was basically saying "It's okay. You're back now, and that's all that matters". 'Pikachu's right. I'm home now, and that's what matters right now'. The White Dragon Emperor said inside his mind, blocking out any other thoughts and focused only on the now.
Delia, Risa and Mr. Mime watched the two best friends with happy smiles. Azure, on the other hand, looked a bit envious as he watched his partner seemingly so close with this strange creature he's never seen before. 'This... Pikachu... I'm jealous of the bond he shares with my partner. But I must admit; it cannot be helped with how they've traveled together in years. As much as I hate to admit it, this strange creature is a closer partner to Ash than I am'. The White Dragon Ignis said inside his mind, feeling a great struggle within himself at admitting that.
2 minutes later; Ash was sitting down next to Risa, facing his pregnant mother with Pikachu seated on Ash's lap. Mr. Mime was standing outside the living room, watching them all with a carefree smile. Right now; Ash was speaking to Risa, catching up with his old friend. "Risa, I can't say I'm glad to see you again, but what are you doing here in Pallet Town? Last I heard, you were at Hoenn". Ash questioned the athlete and journalist, curious to hear why she's here in his hometown.
Risa grew a nervous smile at her old friend's question, before turning her gaze over to Delia. The adult woman gave the younger female a supporting smile, then nodded to Risa. Ash's old friend returned the nod, then turned to look at Ash. "I'm here looking after your mother, Ash. As for why, I'm certain that it's clear to see". Risa answered her friend, then turned to look at Delia.
Ash turned his gaze over to his mother, while both Pikachu and Azure remained silent. Pikachu glanced up at his best friend in concern, while Azure didn't really feel like he deserved to speak since he doesn't really know his partner's mother. "Mum... what happened to you while I was away?" The White Dragon Emperor questioned Delia, then turned his gaze over to her pregnant belly.
"You're...pregnant...with someone's child". Ash added, then raised his head to look at Delia in the face. "I didn't even know you were in a relationship. Not that I'm against you being with someone, it's just that..." The White Dragon Emperor stopped himself and gave out a sigh because he's overreacting right now. "This isn't what I thought I'd see when I got back". He finished, honestly a bit out of the loop right now because of this, to him at least, world shattering discovery.
Delia gave her son a sympathetic smile, perfectly able to understand his confusion. "I know honey, this is rather surprising". The adult woman stated, before looking down at her pregnant belly and gently rubbed it with her right hand. "To be honest, I was surprised myself when I found out". She added, affection leaking out of her voice as she gazed at the pregnant belly, right towards the child inside of her.
Ash let out a small sigh, then grew a smile. Despite his small freakout earlier, he wasn't really against Delia having a child of her own. "So, who are you with? Is it someone I know, or someone I haven't met yet?" The White Dragon Emperor asked with a curious voice to know the identity of who it is that impregnated his mother.
Delia gave a happy giggle with both eyes closed. "I think it's better for you to see him. He'll be home soon in the afternoon". The adult woman answered, much to Ash's disappointment since he didn't want to wait. The White Dragon Emperor let out a deep sigh, then nodded to Delia. "I understand. Anyway, who else is here beside Risa?" Ash asked his mother, turning to look at Risa in mid-speech.
Both Delia and Risa made eye contact with blooming smiles, before gazing back at Ash. "Your old classmates from Alola are here because of a fieldtrip". Risa answered Ash, much to his surprise at learning this. Azure almost gave a gasp at hearing this, yet managed to remain silent. "Kiawe, Sophocles, Mallow, Lana and Lillie are here?" The White Dragon Emperor asked with wide eyes, honestly not expecting something like this. It's been a year since he's seen them after he won the Alola League and said farewell to his Alola family.
Risa nodded to her friend, while Pikachu climbed onto Ash's right shoulder and made himself comfortable. "Not only them, but Professor Kukui and Lillie's brother; Gladion". Delia informed her son, increasing Ash's surprise at hearing this. 'Gladion too?! This just keeps on getting better and better'. The White Dragon Emperor thought, before he got up from the couch and looked at his mother.
"Mum, wait here with Risa and Mr. Mime. I'm gonna go and get my friends and Professor Oak, then come back". Ash told Delia with a serious voice, something that caught the Pokémon world residents by surprise. "I'll explain everything, including why I've been away for half a year. Everyone here deserves to know why". The teenage boy added, before he turned around and walked out of the living room.
He walked right past Mr. Mime, before he stopped and looked over his left shoulder to look at the two females again. "I won't be long. Please be patient till then". The White Dragon Emperor added, before continuing on his way and left the house, leaving Delia, Risa and Mr. Mime all confused.
Once outside; Ash took 5 steps away from his house and then turned around, looking up towards Professor Oak's laboratory in the distance. "Pikapi?" Pikachu said with a soft voice from his partner's right shoulder. Ash didn't reply, he just kept staring up at Professor Oak's laboratory until he eventually let out a mentally exhausted sigh with both eyes closed. "...Azure, no need to hide yourself. You can speak now". The White Dragon Emperor told his Ignis partner, much to Pikachu's confusion at hearing this.
"...Very well then". Azure responded, much to Pikachu's shock at hearing an unknown voice. "PIKACHU PI!" The Electric Mouse exclaimed, before turning his head left and right in search of who said that. Ash raised his left arm, right as Azure emerged from the Duel Disk's orb with both arms crossed, wings tucked in and tail lying down on the device.
Pikachu gazed down, then widened both eyes at seeing Azure. "Pika pikachu pi?!" The Electric Type Pokémon cried out, pointing his right hand's index finger down at Azure. The White Dragon Ignis narrowed his eyes at Pikachu, not understanding its exact words, but what he is saying overall. "Don't refer to me as a "thing", rat. My name is Azure, and I am an Ignis, Ash's Ignis to be exact!" Azure snapped at Pikachu, earning a glare from the Electric Mouse.
"Pi pikachu!" Pikachu yelled at Azure, much to his annoyance since he still had a good idea what the Pokémon was saying. "I admit that you've been with Ash longer than I, but don't get ahead of yourself! I've known him longer than you have and have always been his destined partner way before you two even met!" The White Dragon Ignis snapped at Pikachu, pointing his right hand's index finger at him.
Both of Ash's partners then glared at one another, sparks coming out of their eyes and clashing against each other. Ash grew a sweat drop at seeing his best friend and partner acting like this with each other. "That's enough you two, I don't want infighting like this". The White Dragon Emperor told both Ignis and Pokémon, getting a scoff from both of them.
"As you wish, partner". Azure responded to Ash, before returning to eye form. Ash gave his partner a grateful smile, then turned to look at Pikachu. "I'll explain everything soon, just be patient for now, buddy". The White Dragon Emperor told Pikachu, making certain to tell Pikachu everything once the time comes.
The Electric Mouse stubbornly crossed his arms, but still gave a nod of its head. Ash let out a relived sigh at his best friend, before facing forward and continued on his way to Professor Oak. 'I wasn't expecting the guys from Alola to be here, but it'll be nice to see them all again. I just hope they're not ticked off with me'. The White Dragon Emperor thought to himself, then gave a small chuckle at the thought.
It took a good ten minutes, but Ash, Pikachu and Azure eventually reached Professor Oak's laboratory. The White Dragon Emperor stopped in front of the door, then raised his right hand to knock on it, yet stopped himself. The White Dragon Emperor remained still for a moment or two, ignoring the concern looks of Azure and Pikachu, but soon knocked twice. After knocking on the door, Ash dropped his right hand and patiently waited. It was silent for 20 seconds, until the silence was broken by loud footsteps from inside.
"Coming!" A familiar voice cried out from inside, one that made Ash and Pikachu smile. The door opened, revealing a familiar face to the White Dragon Emperor. It was their good friend and Ash's Alola father figure; Professor Kukui. The schoolteacher looked exactly the same as Ash first saw him 2 years ago when he visited Alola with Lulu and Saya to search for Delia.
Ash and Pikachu smiled at the man, while Kukui gasped in surprise at seeing them. "Ash!? Is that you?!" The schoolteacher asked with wide eyes, wondering if he was dreaming or hallucinating. "What? Did you forget me so soon?" The White Dragon Mask questioned in response, slightly tilting his head to the side. Kukui started laughing in joy, growing a wide smile before he ran forward and wrapped both arms around Ash in a hug similar to how a father hugs their son.

Ash widened his eyes in heartfelt shock and let out a low, but sharp gasp at Professor Kukui's rather unexpected embrace, while Azure was just a bit surprised. Pikachu, on the other hand, climbed from his best friend's shoulder to Kouki's right one. Ash softened his gaze, before lifting both hands up and wrapped them around Kukui to return the hug. "I...missed you, Professor". The White Dragon Emperor uttered, feeling a good sense of peace to be reunited with this man that became part of his family.
Kukui laughed a little at Ash's words, keeping the embrace going. "I missed you too, Ash". The adult man told Ash, before breaking the embrace, then placed both hands on Ash's shoulders. "I'm sure you got a story to tell us, but let's not focus on that right now. Everyone else is at the back with your Pokémon, let's go check on them". The schoolteacher said to the teenage boy, something that Ash was more than happy to agree to.
"No complains from me". Ash stated, getting another laugh from Kouki. The schoolteacher raised both hands from Ash's shoulders, before turning around and walked back into Professor Oak's laboratory. Ash followed after the older male, placing both hands in his pants' pockets. Both males walked down the hallway towards the back, but one of the doors up ahead opened, catching their attention as they stopped.
Professor Oak walked into view from the opened door, appearing concerned for something. He was still wearing the exact same set of clothes as always, but that was no surprise. "Kukui? Who was it at the-" The old man began, only to stop and widen both of his eyes at spotting Ash standing right behind Professor Kukui. Ash gave a smile, then raised his right hand to wave at him. "Hey Professor Oak, I'm back". Ash greeted Kanto's regional professor, glad to see him again.
"Ash!" Professor Oak exclaimed in joy, walking right up to the teenage boy and made eye contact with him. "My boy, I'm so relieved to see you're safe and sound. Why haven't you come over for so long now?" The old man questioned Ash, wasting no time and cutting straight to the chase. "It's a long story, I'll tell you and everyone else later". Ash answered, right as Pikachu leaped from Kukui's shoulder to his left shoulder.
"Pika pika!" Pikachu called out cheerfully, getting the three humans to smile down at Ash's Electric Mouse Pokémon. "I'll be patient until you tell us. For now, head on to the back and see your friends and Pokémon. I'm certain they'll be happy to see you again". Professor Oak said to the younger male, before he turned around and returned to the room he walked out of.
Professor Oak closed the door, leaving Ash, Professor Kukui, Pikachu and Azure alone. The schoolteacher looked at Ash over his right shoulder with a big, bright grin. "Follow me". The adult male told Ash, then continued on his way. Wordlessly, Ash followed Professor Kukui to the backdoor that'll lead to the backyard.
Both males stopped in front of the door, before Professor Kukui grabbed hold of the doorhandle with his right hand. He twisted it, then pushed the door wide open, revealing Professor Oak's backyard. Both males walked through the door with Ash closing it behind him.
Ash faced forward and looked at the nature filled backyard of Professor Oak's laboratory. As always, it was filled to the brim with nature and both wild Pokémon and Pokémon under ownership of trainers there, but there wasn't very much in sight, most likely because they're deeper in the forest. Just then, a familiar cry came from their left, grabbing the attention of Ash, Professor Kukui, Pikachu and Azure.
The two humans and Electric Mouse Pokémon turned their heads left, where they saw a very welcome sight for Ash. Standing a few feet away were his Alola classmates and Pokémon that he's caught over the years in this world.
Kiawe, Sophocles, Mallow, Lana, Lillie, Gladion and their Pokémon partners; Turtonator, Togedemaru, Tsareena, Primarina, Sandy the Eevee, Snowy the Alolan Vulpix, Magearna and Umbreon all stood with Ash's gathered Pokémon around them.
There was Charizard, Pidgeot, Bulbasaur, Kingler, Muk, the Tauros horde, Snorlax, Primeape, Heracross, Meganium, Typhlosion, Feraligatr, Noctowl, Donphan, Swellow, Sceptile, Crawdaunt, Torkoal, Glalie, Staraptor, Torterra, Infernape, Floatzel, Gliscor, Garchomp, Unfezant, Samurott, Emboar, Serperior, Scrafty, Leavanny, Seismitoad, Gigalith, Krookodile, Mienshao, Talonflame, Greninja, Goodra, Hawlucha, Tyrantrum, Noivern, Rowlet, Incineroar, Lycanroc, Toucannon, Lurantis, Kommo-o, Araquanid, and Melmetal. All the Pokémon he caught before his "death" in Kalos, and the ones he's caught after he resumed his journey.
Ash was a bit surprised to see his Alola Region Pokémon here in Kanto, but didn't really mind since he got the chance to see them again. The White Dragon Emperor grew a massive grin, while Kukui raised his right hand into the air. "Hey everyone! Looks who's finally back!" The schoolteacher called out, catching everyone's attention. As they turned to look at Professor Kukui, Ash and Pikachu, the White Dragon Emperor took a moment to take a good look at his former classmates.
Kiawe now wears a black shirt with a red short jacket over it, black and red capri pants and black shoes. His hair has grown five inches down his neck. Ash's former classmate, despite still being in school, had now become a Grand Kahuna, having completed his final trial and was all set to succeed Olivia when she retires.
Sophocles is wears an orange jacket over a burnt red shir, white shorts and white and orange sneakers. His hair is a few inches longer on the back and front now. And just like Kiawe, he has accomplished much despite still being a student. He has now gotten his bachelor's degree and is ready to become an astronaut once he graduates. He's also a brilliant scientist too by the way.
Mallow is now wearing a green chef outfit with a black chef jacket over it and dark grey shoes. Her hair has grown longer, now reaching her back. Mallow has become a world class chef thanks to some help from her brother and father, now owning 5 different restaurants, having made the best dishes in all of Alola and beyond. She's still in the Pokémon School since she still hasn't graduated yet.
As for Lana, she has become both a master fisherman and storyteller. And even a standup comedian for kids. She now wears a light blue skirt and shirt with black and blue sandals and fingerless gloves. Her hair is way longer now, reaching Lana's back now. She's still part of the Pokémon School for two reasons, 1; because she hasn't graduated yet. And 2; keeping an eye on her little sisters since they just enrolled.
Lillie has become a professor assistant and is well on her way to being a Pokémon Professor, who studies the history of ancient and lost Pokémon that existed millions of years ago. She's still a student at the school, but was the closest to graduate out of all of them. As for what she's wearing, she wears a light violet short dress and violet shoes. Lillie's hair now reaches her waist and is tied in a ponytail.
Gladion is now a famous explorer who searches for lost pokeruins that have since been lost to time. He wears a black explorer's outfit with a black cowboy hat on, he also wears grey gloves for excavation. Finally, his hair has also grown to his shoulders. When he isn't traveling around, he helps his mum and dad with Aether Foundation. Speaking of his family, Gladion, Lillie and their mother has more than made up lost time with Mohn.
Ash remembered that day he helped his friends and Lusamine find their missing family member, Mohn. It was in his last few days of Alola, on the day that Lillie finally managed to wake up the Magearna that her father left for her. Originally, Lillie and her family would have left to search for Mohn, but Ash didn't want them to spend who knows how long searching for them.
He read Magearna's mind and tracked the link between it and Mohn, and easily found the location where Lillie's father was. So, he teleported himself, Lillie, Gladion and Lusamine and found themselves in some sort of snow mountain. Ash would later learn they were in the Crown Tundra of the Galar Region, another Region he's never been to before.
Focusing on the task at hand at the time; Ash led the family to find their last remaining member. He eventually led them to a wooden house, where they found Mohn, but he had lost his memories of Lillie, Gladion and Lusamine. But the biggest surprise was that he was living with a shiny Nihilego that he called Lillie since he thought it was his daughter. Long story short, they managed to help Mohn regain his memories by looking at a mirror, the family accepted the Nigilego that had actually saved Mohn and brought him back to the Pokémon World and finally, they returned to the Alola Region.
Anyway, back to the present; all of Ash's friends and Pokémon gasped at seeing the White Dragon Emperor standing behind Professor Kukui. "ASH!" All the teenagers cried out in surprise, while Ash's Pokémon cried out in joy at seeing their trainer. They then all rushed over to Ash, something that Professor Kukui comically jumped out of the way, leaving a sweat dropping Ash and Pikachu alone.
Meganium, Donphan, Torkoal, Gliscor, Garchomp, Scrafty, Leavanny, Goodra, Noivern, Rowlet, Incineroar, Lycanroc and Melmetal were the first ones to reach Ash and embraced their trainer, while the others just gathered around them. Despite being smothered overbearingly, Ash gave a happy smile because he had missed his Pokémon greatly the past 6 months.
Pikachu was crying out in discomfort from getting surrounded on all sides, while Azure, on the other hand, was a bit annoyed because his personal space was being invaded by Goodra's slimy body. 'This slimy thing is a dragon!? How does that work?!' The White Dragon Ignis shouted out inside his mind, before forcing himself to calm down. 'This world works in mysterious ways, that I must admit. Still, my partner has a lot of these Pokémon creatures'. Azure added, wondering what kind of adventures Ash went through in this world.
(Meanwhile back in the Pendulum Dimension)
Back in Leo Corporation's tower, everyone has already started the party to celebrate the return of their friends from the other world. All the girls were enjoying themselves and taking the time for their Ignis partners to bond with everyone. Yusaku, Kolter and Ai took part in the party as well, though the Cyberse Duelist was the only one that seemed overwhelmed with what's going on.
Kolter was getting along magnificently with Ginta and Crow due to their love of food, as mentioned before. Ai was being his usual self, getting along with the more carefree ones and annoying the more serious ones. And as for Yusaku, he preferred to keep his distance from everyone, but Maleficent was seemingly glued to his side, much to Yusaku's confusion. And with Maleficent came her brother, father and mother with all three of them deeply fascinated with Maleficent's infatuation with the young man.
As the party continued, an important reunion was about to take place in the hallway outside of the office. A little bit down the hall, Jaden and Saya stood across each other with the little 7-year-old girl looking up at her friend's smiling face. Velvet wasn't with them because Saya had left her Duel Disk in the office since the Hybrid Ignis was busy speaking with the other children, and Saya didn't want to interrupt a growing friendship.
"You've must have gone through a whole lot of crazy in that other world, didn't you?" The Supreme King reincarnation questioned Saya, one that got a giggle out of her as she nodded to him. "You have no idea. I made a new teacher, dueled someone that thought a tree was his mother and I think I've made my first rival". The young child answered, folding both hands behind her back.
Jaden raised an eyebrow in fascination at hearing the rival part. "Your first rival, huh? Sounds interesting". He said with an eager tone, crossing both arms as he spoke. "I really thought we'd duel again in the last battle, but she wasn't there for some reason. I think that Varis had her stay out of the battle out of concern for her safety". Saya explained to the young adult man, growing a displeased face since she wanted to experience her first real serious rival duel.
"Maybe you're right. You'll just have to talk to her when you see this girl again one day". Jaden stated, before uncrossing both arms and clapped them together. "Anyway, we're getting a bit off topic here. I think it's long past due for you to see an old friend". The Supreme King's reincarnation stated, much to Saya's delight at hearing this since she's been waiting for this.
Then, a Duel Monster spirit appeared beside Jaden on his left. It was a demonic woman spirit with devil wings, white and purple hair, black skin clothes that seem glued to its body and a pair of mismatched eyes of green and yellow. This is Jaden's oldest friend and Saya's former Duel Spirit partner; Yubel.
Saya let out a gasp of delight at finally seeing Yubel again, while the Fiend-Type monster grew a relived smile at seeing her former partner again. 'Saya, thank goodness you're alright'. The Fiend-Type monster said with a breath of relief to see the child safe and sound in front of her again. Saya gave a happy giggle in response, before holding her right hand out to Yubel.
Yubel reached out with her left hand, both of them holding their hands in front of the other's, yet couldn't grasp each other's hands. "I've missed you too, Yubel". Saya said with a soft voice, much to Yubel's comforting delight at hearing Saya's voice. Jaden watched them with a satisfied smile because Yubel has been terribly worried about the girl that cared for her 2 years since she disappeared 6 months ago, so it was a huge relief for her to see the little girl was safe now.
And hopefully, they won't have to worry the next few days.
(Back at the Pokémon world, a little bit later)
After everyone finished their reunions with Ash, it was time for the White Dragon Emperor to tell everyone what happened to him. First, he teleported Delia, Risa and Mr. Mime over from his house since he didn't want to explain everything a second time.
Right now; the White Dragon Emperor stood in front of the gathered school students, Pokémon, his mother and professors as well with Pikachu still riding on his left shoulder. Lana and Risa were both holding Delia's hands, helping the older woman stand due to her current state. "Okay everyone, as much as I'd like to just enjoy my time with you all again, I want to get this off my chest. I'm gonna tell you all what happened to me and why I haven't visited for six months now". Ash told his friends, family and teachers, both hands resting on his hips.
Gladion slightly narrowed his eyes at hearing this, yet remained silent. Lillie, on the other hand, spoke up. "Did something terrible happen in your world? Has someone from the Dimension War resurfaced and declared war again?" The blond-haired female asked in concern, which Ash shook his head in response, much to the relief of everyone.
The White Dragon Emperor then fell silent with a serious expression, before bringing up his left arm and gazed down at the Duel Disk. Everyone else, except Pikachu, finally noticed Ash's Duel Disk with Sophocles being the only one to notice it was a different version than Ash's usual one. "Hey, that isn't your usual Duel Disk, Ash". The soon to be astronaut pointed out, catching everyone off guard as they realized he's right.
Ash gave a sigh, then looked at Azure's closed eye. "Alright, you can come out now". The raven-haired boy said, much to the confusion of everyone except Pikachu since they had no idea who he was talking to. Before they could have a chance to question him, Azure opened his eye and spoke. "About time, I was losing my patience". The White Dragon Ignis stated, then rose up from the Duel Disk's orb in his true form.
At the sight of Azure, everyone grew silent as they stared at him with anime white eyes. It was quiet for 5 to 10 seconds, before everyone cried out in surprise. "W-What is that thing?!" Kiawe questioned, pointing his right hand's index finger at Azure. The White Dragon Ignis let out an annoyed growl at once again being called "a thing", something that's happened too many times for his liking. "For the LAST time! I am not a thing! I am the White Dragon Ignis, Azure!" Azure roared out with annoyance leaking out of his voice.
The Pokémon world inhabits all flinched at Azure's loud voice, before Professor Oak gave the Ignis an apologetic smile. "M-My apologies for our rudeness. It's just that we've never seen anything like you before". The Kanto Region's regional professor apologized to Azure, which he let out a scoff as he crossed both arms. "That's to be expected. From what my partner's files said, this world isn't nearly technological advanced as the others". Azure remarked, words that Pikachu grew an annoyed frown at hearing.
The Pokémon world's residents all blinked at Azure, wondering what he meant by that. True, they had seen how advanced Ash's world was compared to theirs, but the way he said it gives off the impression that he's talking about more than one world. "What are you talking about? You're talking as if there's another world beside this one and Ash's world". Gladion stated, narrowing both eyes at the White Dragon Ignis.
"That's exactly what I mean. To explain it in a short version, I'm the one that is responsible for Ash disappearing from this world and the world of the four dimensions six months ago because I brought him to my world". Azure told the blond-haired male, much to the surprise of everyone at hearing this.
Ash raised his head to look at his friends, family and Pokémon with a serious expression. "To tell you guys the whole story, I need to start off from the beginning, 10 years ago". The White Dragon Emperor told them all, then gazed down at Azure at the exact time the White Dragon Ignis looked at Ash over his right shoulder. "To the day that Lulu and I were kidnapped and taken from our homes". He added, mind flashing back to that day he was taken away from his Xyz Dimension family.
Today was going to be emotionally exhausting from all this story time of the past, at least for Ash.
(Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS! Ending 2: Writing Life)
The camera showed a statute of a marvel warrior in an old coliseum, holding up the sky with his two hands, blocking out the sun and causing sun beams to shower the top of his head.
"My life is like detestably bad graffiti".
"But when you looked at me, I felt I wasn't alone".
The screen changed to show Yusaku, Ash and Rose kneeling down inside a tunnel with a halo of light shining from the entrance and there was graffiti on the walls, showing different words, including "Shinning Draw" and "Synchro". Yusaku was kneeling down on the right, Ash was kneeling on the left and Rose was in between the two with all three duelists' shadows being their Ignis partners in the same postures as them.
The screen zoomed out a bit, before a data stream went over the screen and cleared, showing the other side of the tunnel, only Lulu, Rin, Celina and Zuzu were there with a halo of light shining from the exit. This tunnel had graffiti as well like at the entrance, only it had the words "Contact Fusion" and "Pendulum" in purple and rainbow coloured writing.
Lulu was leaning her back against the right wall with her hands folded in front of her lap, Rin was in a similar position on the left wall, only she had her hands folded behind her head and right left pressed against the wall. Celina was sitting down on front of Lulu with her arms and legs crossed, while Zuzu sat down on her knees with her hands gently placed on them. Like with the others, their Ignis partners were their shadows' reflections in the same positions. Another data stream went over the screen, returning it back to the entrance of the tunnel as Ash, Yusaku and Rose all stood up and looked to their sides with Rose looking forward.
"I'm glad that I'm alive, I truly am".
"What I couldn't say before, I can say now".
A stream of data went over the scenery behind them, changing it to a roman coliseum with three statues behind them and the sun shining down from above. Suddenly, the coliseum changed to a network version of itself with holograms of Kolter and Jin appearing as crystal sharp images, reflected against the mirrored buildings behind them. Kolter was on the left building, looking determine to save his brother, while Rin was on the right, in a comatose like state holding his knees, not saying a word and still to traumatized to move.
Kolter and Jin's holograms changed to show Pikachu and Yusei with the Electric-Mouse having a longing look on his face, while Yusei had a determine face to represent his desire to find his children. Their holograms changed to Shay and Akiza with the Raidraptor Duelist frowning down at his right fist, while the former Black Rose Witch had a sad look as she missed her children greatly. The screen suddenly speeds up and changes into pixelated prisms, almost like a screen with the light continuously moving upward.
"Within the sadness that I kept holding down".
The prisms cleared to reveal a blue digital-like world with ones and zeros constantly flashing. In this world, there was a hologram of Varis on the right, facing the left with a determined look, while Specter was on the right, looking serious with his arms folded behind himself, looking at something across the network. Black Dragon Mask was flying in between the two, staring forward with gritted teeth to represent his desire to defeat his rival.
Behind all three of them was Dr. Kyogami with his hands at his hips and lab coat blowing in the breeze as a bright white pillar was behind him. There were blue, purple red green and yellow small beams gathering around the pillar of light as Varis and Specter drew closer to one another and to Black Dragon Mask.
"There were fragments of power".
"No one can take away my light to the future".
The screen changed to show 3 split screens with different coloured background, rosy red, light blue and silvery white with three rainbow coloured stars falling down from above. In the left screen, the star fell past images of Shay, Leo, Luna, Zion, Maleficent and Clara, who all looked at the falling star as it passed them. In the middle screen, the light passed through images of Cal, Gore, Skye, Akira and Emma, who stared at the star as it passed them. And finally at the right screen, the last light fell pass images of Pikachu, Delia, Yusei, Akiza, Shark and Rio, all of them looking at the star as it passed them.
The three stars fell and stopped above the open hands of Rose, Yusaku and Ash with their Duel Disks and decks on, which all three grasped into their hands, causing bright white lights to flash out of them. The three slowly turned their hands over with the bright lights flashing over the screen, somehow changing them into their avatars Black Rose Dragon Mask, Playmaker and White Dragon Mask with their right hands still closed, but no bright lights emerging from within. The screens zoomed down to their Duel Disks, right at the orbs where the eye forms of Blaze, Ai and Azure appeared.
The three Ignis opened their eyes and generated three different coloured round circles, which shot out round orbs, before releasing fan-like shape energy, moving in a clockwise motion and released bright lights. The camera zoomed out to reveal Black Rose Dragon Mask, Playmaker and White Dragon Mask in separate split screens, holding their right fists to their hips and their left arms up in the air as their Duel Disks continued to release the same fan-like shape energy from before that spread out all around them. It then released a bright white light that blinded the screen completely.
"The chronicles of life only has a few lines".
The light cleared to reveal White Dragon Mask, Playmaker and Black Rose Dragon Mask riding their D-Boards in LINK VRAINS, their Duel Disks activated, ridding on the Data Material wind over a water bridge connected to the city. Playmaker was flying in the middle, White Dragon Mask besides him on his right and Black Rose Dragon Mask on their left. They weren't alone as their second ace monsters, Decode Talker, White Dragon - Blue Link Dragon and Rose Dragon – Frozen Blue Rose were flying either besides, or behind them. The four flew through the Data Storm winds with their ace monsters, determined to duel and win.
"People I meet, my regrets - they're all like ultramarine diamonds to me".
The screen changed to first show a violet background with Purple Night flying in the with her arms spread out and her ace Link Monster, Lyrilusc - Convene Nightingale flying behind her. The screen changed to show a green background with Gore holding up his right fist with Gouki The Giant Ogre behind him with his sword in both hands. The screen changed once more to show a indigo background with Lunalight Dancer having her arms spread out as she danced with Lunalight Lynx Dancer crouched down behind her.
The camera changed to show a purple background with Ghost Gal sitting down, looking at the camera as she held up her Duel Disk and had Altergeist Primebanshee's card in her right hand's index and middle fingers with said monster behind her. Once again, the screen changed to show an icy green background with Green Witch facing the camera with, tilting her had up with her right hand with Windwitch - Fate Reverser besides her.
The screen changed once more to show a purple background with lighter purple beams coming out from it. Both Skye and Blue Angel formed a spinning circle with Saya and Pink Dragon Mask in between them. Blue Angel looked happy on the left side as she and Pink Dragon Mask fly besides one another, back to back. Skye had a curious expression on her face as she held a book in her arms, looking over her right shoulder at Saya, who gave her a gentle smile.
The camera changed to show a pink background with Music Singer singing with Bloom Harmonist the Melodious Composer singing besides her. The purple background then released another bright light that blinded the screen.
"You've always confront loneliness by yourself".
The light cleared to reveal Playmaker, White Dragon Mask and Black Rose Dragon Mask flying through the city of LINK VRAINS on their D-Boards, passing through underneath a bridge with their second ace monsters behind them, only now their real aces, Firewall Dragon, Novaforce Stardust Dragon and Black Rose Dragon were among them. Playmaker flew in the middle with his aces behind him, White Dragon Mask was on the right with his dragons behind him and Black Rose Dragon Mask on the left with her aces right on her tail.
"I bet we can now laugh together, forever and ever".
The three duelists faced forward with determined faces as their true aces, Firewall Dragon, Novaforce Stardust Dragon and Black Rose Dragon leaned their heads closer to their owners with all of them ready to duel and win. Ai, Azure and Blaze stared up at their partners in their eyes forms as they continued to soar through the skies. However, sunshine caught their attention as they looked over at the source.
"Lighting Life with our invisible bond".
The three heroes of LINK VRAINS all flew towards the sunset on their D-Boards over the city of LINK VRAINS on the Data Material wind with their ace monsters right beside them, heading towards the tomorrow and the battles that awaited them.
Finally, this long overdue chapter is finished. I honestly found this chapter to be a bit tiring, but now we can finally move onto season 2 of VRAINS. Once again, I'm so sorry it took this long to reach this point. I'm fully aware that apologies won't make up for it, but I'm gonna try my very best.
I apologize that I wasn't able to update this and my Date a Live story before October finished. Hopefully I can complete two chapters before November ends. Wish me luck everyone, catch ya later.
