SmackDown: 27/07/2000

SmackDown was live at the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, Texas. X-Pac challenged Steve Blackman for the Hardcore Championship as SmackDown kicked off from San Antonio, Texas. As X-Pac's partner, the Road Dogg, did commentary at ringside, X-Pac and the Lethal Weapon tore into each other with belts, trash cans and kendo sticks. In the end, it was a brutal kendo stick shot to the head that secured the win for Blackman. After the match, Road Dogg and X-Pac brutally beat down the Hardcore Champion.

After having some words with The Rock backstage, Commissioner Mick Foley got in the ring, and he wasn't a happy man. He said that Rock wanted revenge on Big Show, Angle, Shane and Benoit after Shane duped all of us on RAW. To level the playing field, Foley made a match between Rock and Angle for SmackDown. He also made a mixed tag match pitting Trish Stratus and Triple H against Lita and Chris Jericho, and a Four-on-Three- Handicap Tables match with the Dudleys, the Bladewolf and Kane facing Edge, Christian and the Big Show!

The Big Show and Shane then came to the ring to confront the commish. Shane told Foley that he would always be a couple of steps ahead of him, because of his McMahon master manipulation. Big Show then explained why he got back together with Shane. According to the Show, when he was in the hospital recuperating from his knee surgery, he looked in the mirror and realized that he was a joke and a failure for trying to make the fans laugh. He said that Shane and Angle tried to help him realize that, but he didn't listen. But now he realized it, and proclaimed, "I am the biggest, nastiest bastard to ever step foot in the WWF and I am damn proud of it!"

Backstage, Stephanie and Triple H entered their locker room to find more roses. It turned out that they were from Triple H to his wife, and the couple embraced.

The Hardy Boyz defeated Lo Down when Jeff Hardy scored with a Swanton Bomb onto Chaz. But after the match, Chaz and D'Lo brutally attacked the Hardy Boyz.

Back in their locker room, Triple H complained to Stephanie about having Trish as a partner, saying that none of the women in the Federation could wrestle. Stephanie snapped at him, saying that she had been around wrestling her whole life. Mrs. Game then barged out of the locker room as Triple H tried to apologize.

After fighting Rikishi at Fully Loaded and Scotty 2 Hotty on RAW, Tazz faced off with Grand Master Sexay on SmackDown! The orange-and-black attack managed to secure the Tazzmission on Grand Master, but Scotty interfered and got Sexay disqualified. After the match, Too Cool scored a measure of revenge, as Grand Master nailed the Hip Hop Drop and Scotty hit the Worm!

Backstage, Trish asked Triple H to teach her some wrestling moves. As he was showing her the proper way to counter a hammerlock, Stephanie entered the dressing room to find her husband and Trish in a compromising position! Unaware that the Game was simply giving a wrestling lesson, Stephanie went balistic and again barged out of the dressing room. Triple H blamed Trish for the trouble, and then grabbed his things and left the room.

The camera followed him and showed the Bladewolf leaning against the wall outside, his arms crossed. Triple H stopped when he saw him. "Hey Hunter. Haven't seen you for a couple of months." Bladewolf casually greeted.

"Don't give me that sh*t!" Triple H snapped as he and Bladewolf got in each other's faces, well Triple H gopt in the Bladewolf's face. "I know you and Trish are together, so why did you send her into my office?!"

Bladewolf raised an eyebrow. "I have no idea what you're talking about. Trish and I are together, true, but I didn't send her into your office. She's free to do as she pleases, whether that's breaking hearts or bones is her business."

"Is that right?" Triple H scoffed, sounding like he didn't believe him. "Well, thanks to her, Stephanie thinks that I cheated on her. I don't know what your game is or what you're trying to pull, but this is between me and you. So how about you keep your bitch on a leash and out of my personal life and we stay out of each other's way."

Bladewolf uncrossed his arms and was now eye-to-eye with his old rival. "I assure you, Hunter, I'm not playing no games here, unlike you. So, keep your threats to yourself and piss off before you keep pissing me off. One more thing, say anything about Trish in front of me again, it'll be game over for you, permanently."

The two rivals had a heated staredown that was broken when Triple H walked away, leaving Bladewolf to watch him go... then Trish walked into view and cuddled up with her boyfriend. "Looks like it worked." Trish noted.

Bladewolf smirked a bit. "Driving a wedge between Triple H and his wife? Oh yeah, it sure did. I made the right call putting you in Stephanie's confidence, earning her trust."

Trish nodded. "Triple H doesn't have the WWF Championship, but it won't stop you from making his life a living hell."

"No... it won't." Bladewolf said, then the two walked away. Next up was the Bladewolf, Kane and the Dudley boyz vs Edge, Christian and Big Show in the 4-on-3 Handicap Tables match.

In the arena, Edge and Christian's theme hits to boos from the crowd as the WWF Tag Team Champions make their way to the ring, wearing cowboy hats. The duo enter the ring and grab a microphone which Christian takes first.

"We just want to say howdy to all of our fans right here in San Antonio!" Christian said, getting a pop namely for the mention of the hometown.

"Howdy!" Jerry chuckled.

"As we all know, most people view Texas as big, smelly, pork-ripe chopping, tobacco spitting fatties!" Christian continued, earning massive boos from the crowd.

"Moving right along..." Edge chuckled. "We've heard the old saying 'everything's bigger in Texas'. Well, with that being said, feast your eyes on the severe massivity of our tag team partner. He's 7'4, he's 500 lbs, he's the totally... BIG SHOW!"

The Big Show's theme hits and out comes the World's Largest Athlete with Shane McMahon at his side.

"Well King, I have to admit Edge is right about Big Show." Cole said. "7'4, 500 lbs of the Big Show. It was the Big Show, the co-conspirators, who put the Undertaker out of action. And a little bit later on, King, we'll get an update on the Undertaker's condition but it doesn't look good."

"Well, it wasn't just Big Show, it was Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle and that man beside the Big Show, Shane McMahon!" Jerry reminded.

Big Show and Shane entered the ring and the Big Show's theme soon died down as they waited for their opponents.

The fireworks went off and the Dudley Boyz' theme plays before the former Tag Team Champions come out. "And their opponents, first. Making their way to the ring, at a combined weight of 565 lbs, Bubba Ray and D-Von... THE DUDLEY BOYZ!"

"King, the rules of this match are simple; the first team to put an opponent through a table will win this match. However, there's an advantage on the Dudley Boyz' side given it's four on-three. The Bladewolf and Kane, who make up the Brothers of Destruction, and the Dudley Boyz taking on Edge, Christian and the Big Show."

The Dudley Boyz enter the ring and poses on the turnbuckles before getting down. Outside, Edge and Christian stood alongside Big Show and Shanem mouthing off to their opponents.

OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!

Fire explodes on the stage after the wolf howls, and Out of the Fire plays. The Bladewolf and Kane walk out side-by-side. "And their tag team partners, at a combined weight of 636 lbs... KANE AND THE BLADEWOLF!" Tony Chimel announced before leaving the ring.

"King, Kane and the Bladewolf have one purpose here tonight; to avenge their brother, the Undertaker. To get their hands on the Big Show." Cole said.

"I realize that, that's why their the wildcard in this little equation." Jerry nodded as Kane and the Bladewolf get onto the ring apron and enter the ring. "You never know what to expect from these two, especially when they're in the mood they're in right now."

"The Bladewolf and Kane have always had each other's backs." Cole said as Kane raises his arms and throws them down, causing fire to explode from the turnbuckles. "They dominated the Tag Team division last year, became Tag Team Champions together and nobody was able to stop them for months."

"Oh yeah." Jerry nodded.

The lights return to normal, Kane's theme dies down as Edge and Christian slide into the ring but the Dudley Boyz are quick on the attack while the Bladewolf and Kane get out onto the ring apron and the referee calls for the bell.

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

After sending Edge out of the ring, D-Von joins Bladewolf and Kane out on the apron while Bubba-Ray starts things off with Christian. "It's Bubba Ray Dudley starting thinsg off against Christian, one half of the WWF Tag Team Champions."

Bubba Ray smacks Christian's chest, then brings a nasty elbow down onto his forehead. Grabbing Christian, Bubba Ray Irish whips him off the ropes, to which CHristian rebounds and comes back only to be lifted up and sent falling down onto his back in a back body slam.

"Ahh! Oh my Gosh!" Jerry exclaimed.

"Wow!" Cole nodded. Bubba Ray grabs Christian and wrenches his arm before he tags in D-Von, who comes in. "And here comes D-Von, the other half of the Dudley Boyz."

The Dudley Boyz Irish whip Christian off the ropes and then take him down with a clothesline. Bubba Ray gets out on the apron while D-Von takes the fight to Christian. D-Von goes for an irish whip, but Christian reverses it and sends D-Von to the ropes. D-Von bounces off, comes back, ducks a right from Christian, bounces off the ropes again and takes Christian down with a shoulder tackle.

Edge runs into the ring only to get a right hand to the forehead by D-Von. Edge rolls out the ring and the referee admonishes him. With the referee distracted... CHRISTIAN NAILS D-VON WITH A LOW BLOW! Christian then takes D-Von down with a reverse DDT.

"Christian with a low blow to D-Von, followed by a reverse DDT." Cole said as Christian makes the tag to the Big Show. "And here comes the 7'4, 500lbs Big Show who has been vicious since his return on RAW Monday night."

"And look at Bladewolf and Kane." Jerry pointed, the camera cutting to the brothers, showing they had their eyes firmly locked onto the Big Show. "They're staring a hole through the Big Show."

"He put their brother out of action, what do you expect them to do?" Cole retorted.

Big Show dominates D-Von in the ring for a bit, throwing him across the ring, scooping him up and slamming him down with ease. Having enough, he tagged in Edge who came in and started stomping away on D-Von. Picking D-Von up, Edge lifts him onto the top turnbuckle, goes up with him and attempts to hit a suplex off the turnbuckle but D-Von holds on as he starts fighting back, punching Edge in the ribcage before lifting him up and send shim slamming down to the mat on his front.

"Oh man!" Jerry winced.

Getting down from the turnbuckle, D-Von clotheslines Edge and starts crawling towards Bubba Ray who has his hand out for the tag.

"D-Von trying to reach his brother, Bubba Ray." Cole said.

Edge grabs D-Von but gets an elbow to the side of the head for his trouble. However, Christian come sup from behind and takes D-Von down with a suplex.

"Suplex by Christian." Cole said, Having enough, the Bladewolf and Kane entered the ring to the delight of the fans as they attack the WWF Tag Team Champions. "Kane and Bladewolf!"

"What are they doing?" Jerry frowned.

Bladewolf takes Edge down with a clothesline, as Kane picks Christian up and hits a Tilt-A-Whirl slam. Bladewolf and Kane nod at each other, run and double clothesline Edge over the top rope, sending him to the floor.

"The brothers taking out Edge!" Cole said. Bladewolf grabs Christian and sends him over the top rope. "And now Christian!"

"look out!" Jerry quickly said.

"And the brothers want the Big Show!" Cole said as Bladewolf and Kane staredown the Big Show and gesture for him to get in the ring. The Big Show obliges as he enters... AND THEY GO AT IT! "Here we go!"

Bladewolf and Kane unload on the Big Show, getting him in the corner as they continue to hammer away on the World's Largest Athlete. Shane gets up on the ring apron, but the Bladewolf clotheslines him, sending him to the floor harshly. Big Show manages to take Kane down with a clothesline, then Bladewolf turns around... INTO A SPEAR FROM BIG SHOW!

"Big Show with a Spear on the Bladewolf!" Cole exclaims as Bladewolf rolls out the ring.

The chaos continued with Big SHow taking Kane out of the ring and fighting him outside. Back in the ring,The Dudleys crushed Edge with a 3-D through a table to pick up the win for their team!

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

But the action wasn't done yet. As Kane prepared to flatten Shane with a chokeslam, the Big Show blindsided the Big Red Machine and threw him through another table!

That's it for this chapter. I know it seems like Bladewolf'a a Face, but he is still a Heel, just showing teases of a Face turn but he'll remain a Heel for the remainder of 2000.
