This is my first Fanfiction ever. I am a big fan of Mileven and Stranger Things in general. I hope you enjoy and leave reviews so I can improve. Thanks!
New Edit :
I hope you enjoy the updated version as of December 6th, 2023!
Sorry it's been so long. I've had college and work to deal with. On the bright side, I finally found time to work on it more. Just a few word changes and the like to hopefully flow better. No new additions as of yet. One question: Should I split this into chapters so it could hopefully not feel as long?
"I dump your ass."
Mike never thought he would hear those words come from El's mouth. When she said it, it felt like someone ripped his heart clean out and left a gaping hole in its place. And how she looked at him was still burned into his mind and probably would be for a long time.
It was all Hopper's fault he was in this situation. If he weren't SO protective of El, they would still be together and happily making out in her bedroom with the door open 3 inches. He paced around his basement right as soon his friends left and tried to think of ways to get back with El. But he was on the verge of tears for the 15th time that night, and he couldn't get the events that kept playing over and over in his mind to go away.
After an hour and a half of pacing, Mike couldn't think of any way to get those bad memories out of his head, so he just sat down on his couch, put his hands in his lap, and thought. He thought about the first moment he met El, the first time he spoke to her privately, the first time she held onto him, the first time he kissed her, and all the laughs and love they shared after being separated for 353 days after their kiss at the Snowball. But what he didn't know was that El was spying on him.
She looked back at Mike when she got on the bus and saw him holding back his tears as best as he could. She had spied on the boys with Max before going home to check on Billy. But she still suspected something was up, so when Max left, she went into The Void again to spy on Mike, but what she saw was heartbreaking. Mike was hurting himself.
Mike had not used this razor in six months when El returned to him. He had lost El all over again, and he felt like it was his fault both times he lost her. Now, he has nobody to blame but himself. He looked over the razor and his wrists. They were full of scars from his cutting daily after losing El. But now, he might have lost her forever and went back to his old habit of giving himself two cuts on both wrists. The scars that had healed had now been opened up again, and blood dripped onto and off his hands. He didn't feel anything except numbness. He couldn't feel anything except for El's disappointment in him and hatred towards Hopper. So he cut again, a little deeper, this time for extra punishment. He washed the razor blade and wrapped his hands in gauze to help heal the wounds. He then walked back to the couch and fell asleep right then and there, with dreams filled with disappointment and failure.
