A remake of my first ever Cade x Meika post with a new story!!!
Down the hallway. Cade would be returning to his room to change out of his gear. He happened to heard a slight thud as it came from Meelo's room as he went to investigate. The male Red fox poke his head in as the door open as Tamira had Meika pinned to the wall
"They knew. Is this your doing!?" The Panther scolded the Vixen. Sonny, The Bear came over pulling the hands off while wearing the cast.
"Back off! This isn't her fault!" Sonny scolded Tamira.
"Really!? Then how come pike left her alone!?" Tamira pointed at Meika again. This shocked Cade as he didn't know what they were doing, nor was informed since he was a new rookie still. In a mode of silence Meelo then said
"It is her fault. Xeno's nanobots were all over my systems. You put them there didn't you?" Meelo scolded her while sitting down.
"I… I didn't know… I-I didn't… I'm sorry…" Meika said in regret as tears formed in her eyes. Cade would noticed as he comes over as she then hugged onto the male red fox. The gang was shocked when they saw him.
"Cade-" Miles tried to talk but Cade gave him the "one minute finger" as he looked at em
"You guys never told me any of this. How can I trust you guys still? Even after what she's been through. The only person here who has common sense on her is me and sonny." Cade said pointing at himself then at the Bear. Everyone stood silent as Cade sighed. He wasn't angry or upset. He was betrayed on who to trust.
"Cmon Meika let's get you clean. I don't wanna talk to you guys for the rest of the day. Understand…" The Spanish fox said before leaving with the heartbroken vixen. Sonny wanted to go talk to the two but Tag stopped em.
"Let em have their time…" Tag told his big friend as They looked at Meelo on what to do next.
"Meelo… please tell me you got something. Anything. Before this happened—" Tag pleaded but Meelo kept quiet until he spoked again.
"No. Nothing." Meelo said disappointed. Tag then started to complain. Knowing they lost the battle and the race.
Meanwhile, Cade's room door open as he and Meika sat down on Cade's couch. The door closes as the male fox gently stroke the back of her head and back as he had her let it all out.
"Shhh it's okay… u can cry now…" Cade told his vixen friend as she lets it all. Just quiet sobs, sniffles and tears. Once she lets it all out she sat up and retreated from Cade's grasp.
"Cade… you… you… didn't have to hear all that…" Meika said as she looked at him
"Ik. Ik. I don't wanna dig into your personal life a lot… for reasons… but look they betrayed my trust too… they didn't tell me anything about what's going on. But you and sonny. You guys are the friends I want…" Cade said as he sighed. But felt Meika rests her head on his shoulder, she even put his arm around her as he blushed a bit.
"You trust me still??" The vixen asked as Cade nods
"I trust you…" Cade said as he rests his head on her head. The two slowly fell asleep after some time. They might be closer than anyone knows..
