The Day the Earth Stood Still
Title...The return of Klatu 20 years later
Planet Anders of the Andromeda system
Klatu had been told by his doctors that the cell reduction inside of his body had been breaking down ever since he came back from Earth.
Council president of eight had been deciding on whether or not to exile Klatu after his antics on Earth that many years ago. President Samuels age one hundred and twenty years had been discussing his issues with the council of eight.
His hair and the rest of his features had gotten worse as with the rest of the council. Radiation is the cause with the outer layer of their planet has changed. Ten million of the population had been affected in certain ways.
Drinking his juice to help him get through the day and evening. While waiting for word that Klatu will be arriving soon at the council chambers.
Placing a small frail hand over his eyes he closes them to gain some of his strength for the moment.
Klatu had been getting himself ready as he took a brief look in the mirror to notice the grey in his hair and facial features.
20 years had been a long time since leaving Planet Earth and Helen Benson. She had agreed to the idea of one day to be coming along with him to his home planet of eight.
There was only one item he had brought along to remind him of her and the son Robert now 30 years old. He had no idea at this time just what he had been up to as with his mother.
Heading over to the wooden dresser. He opened the top one to pull out the photo album given to him by Helen just prior to him taking off from the ball field in Washington, D.C.
While turning the pages of photos. He came to one with Helen and her son Bobby when he was only a baby.
He smiles slightly while taking a look at the time. He had to meet with the President of the council. Klatu had no idea what the council and the president had in mind with him.
Holding the whole album filled with photos, he will then place it back into place before closing it into the top drawer before heading out.
Earth's time eight thirty at night...
Helen Benson age 54 years old had just gotten off the phone with her son Robert age 30 years old and a Commander for the Army for the local Washington, D.C. region and his barracks. The entire region is on alert due to the troubles with Israeli and Hamas terrorists.
Commander Benson had gotten off the phone with his mother talking about old times having been with the army for the last eight years. He was in charge of two thousand soldiers having to be ready with being sent overseas for any time of trouble with them.
One thing that had been on his mind was Klatu now 20 years since he had seen the alien and his robot Gort.
Rubbing his tired brown eyes for the moment. Robert remembered the last time Klatu the alien had left the planet and the solar system. His mother had been pining for Klatu having special feelings for the alien. Though Klatu had every one of the scientists at the site to open their eyes.
Professor Barnheart Jr. working on a special project for the United States government. He had spoken with Commander Benson a few days earlier discussing the issue of Klatu on when he ever will come back to Earth.
Robbie Benson was concerned for himself and his mother with the problems going on with Hames and what the United of Planets might do with this problem. He would hate to see his Earth become one of the many victims having been destroyed by their weapons including the robot police force.
Sitting before deciding to move up from his brown swivel chair in his office. He had been waiting for word from the State Department on when they would be moving out to head for Gaza overseas. So far it's been bloody at the moment.
Thank god that Klatu and his robots don't know just what is happening on planet Earth. All of sudden there was a knock on his office door to break him out of his reverie. "Come," he says to the voice on the other side of the door.
A fair-skinned sergeant Thompsom walks in with a brown envelope with orders from the state department. "Sir, I have the orders for you. Everyone is standing by for the moment," he tells him as the commander turns to face him.
Commander Benson takes the envelope from him to take in a deep breath with his lungs expanding. "Thanks, I will take a look while you're waiting here for my reaction," he said strongly.
"Yes, sir." Sergeant Thompsom replied with his answer.
He took it into his hands as he opened it since it wasn't really closed. He took a deep breath while reading the orders since this was important to all involved.
"Well, sir... what's going on?" he asked with a large gulp in his throat.
Lifting his head from the orders. He will tell him the following. "Sergeant have everyone gear up with the transportation at the airfield. We are heading overseas and to the Gaza area to help further with Israel's government," he responded.
"Yes, sir. I will get right to it with your orders." he turns with a deep breath to head out to the barracks to let the soldiers know to be ready to move out.
Meanwhile, Commander Benson decided to call his mother to let her know what was going on with the orders.

It was late as Helen Benson had been twisting and turning in her queen-size bed. It was getting hard to breathe with the heaviness of her chest. She was more concerned about her son Bobby after speaking with him earlier.
She had gotten up from her bed to head into the bathroom to wash her face lightly when all of a sudden she heard her phone ring in the bedroom.
She turned to head out of the bathroom to see the caller I.D. to be her son to have her stomach with butterflies.
