Chapter 1
Inside the hospital was a young 20-year-old girl in really bad condition being rolled in by the paramedics. "Victoria who is this young woman that you rode in with the paramedics." The nurse named Jellyorum asked.
"You don't recognize her Jellyorum? It's Jemima." Victoria said with worriedness.
"Don't you worry Victoria I'll get Jenny to help me take care of her." Jellyorum said with much worry in her voice.
"Should I call all the other Jellicle's?" Victoria asked feeling lost and not knowing what to do.
"Yes, I think that you should." Jellyorum said knowing that when Jemima wakes up that she would want her Jellicle family by her side.
"I'll do that. Please take good care of her." Victoria said as she left Jellyorum to do her job. And with that Victoria left to go outside to call all of the Jellicle family.
"Is everyone here?" Munkustrap asked as he looked around the waiting room.
"No. We're missing Tugger and Quaxo." Alonzo said as he looked around the room.
"Does anyone have their new phone numbers?" Demeter asked looking through her phone.
"I'll go to Tugger's house. They are most likely there." Victoria said as she put on her coat.
"Would you like some company?" Victoria's boyfriend Plato asked, knowing how hard this was for her.
"I would like that very much. Thank you." After they hugged one another they quickly left to get Tugger and Quaxo.
"Hey, Deuteronomy, um can we talk to you real quick?" Jenny and Jellyorum asked in unison.
"Dad? Is everything ok?" Munkustrap asked.
"I'll be right back son." Once Jenny, Jellyorum, and Deuteronomy were alone Jenny told what she and Jellyorum knew about Jemima's condition.
"Look you must know that she is not only underweight and malnourished, and she has a very bad cut on her left eye above the brow and under the eye; which took 10 stitches. But I fear that she is also five months pregnant. We don't know who the father is." Jellyorum explained, worry written all over her face and in her voice.
"We also think from what the doctor said that in her condition her pregnancy was forced upon her. But we won't know for certain until she awakens." Jenny said feeling the same way as Jellyorum.
"Well until we know for certain let's not tell anyone else about this." Deuteronomy said thinking of how all of his Jellicle family might react to this news.
"Well at least we know that they both are here. Tugger's car is in the driveway." Plato said as both he and Victoria got out of the car.
'Knock, Knock, Knock'
"I'll get it." Quaxo said with humor in his voice. Once he opened the door he knew by the looks of Victoria and Plato's faces that something was wrong. "Tugger get over here." Quaxo said with urgency.
"Ok… now what… what's wrong?" Tugger asked as he walked up to Plato and Victoria.
"Well, we have good news and bad." Victoria said with fear in her voice.
"Ok what is it?" Tugger asked.
"Well, the good news is that we found Jemima." Plato said as he looked at Quaxo's reaction, which was that of relief and fear.
With a gulp Quaxo asked, "What's the bad news?"
"She in the hospital in critical condition." Victoria said with tears falling down her cheeks.
"Tugger get your keys. We'll follow you both to the hospital." Quaxo said as he grabbed his coat.
