Much to Usagi's dismay her energy reserves wavered and the one day out resulted in almost three days in bed being waited on as she barely had the strength to get herself to the bathroom. The senshi were under orders by Mamoru to keep any and all senshi business out of Usagi's ear shot. He kept her taken care of and busy with schoolwork and occupying Chibi-Usa.

After the first attack at the carnival there had been a handful of other attacks but the senshi and generals had been able to handle on their own. Yuro and Hotaru had filled in the gap that Usagi and Mamoru had left and even took Chibi-Usa several times a week to let the couple relax.

Mamoru hovered over her like a hawk with worry and concern, as the older Chibi-Usa had mentioned before she had left he didn't feel the extreme exhaustion was normal even for carrying quads and decided to make a suggestion. "Usako, you know I love you and would never ask this if I didn't think it through thoroughly," Usagi looked up from her lunch this sounded serious. "Do you think it is worth us considering using our crystals to lessen the strain your body is going through?"

Usagi stopped eating, pushing herself back from the table and placing a protective hand on her baby bump. "What are you suggesting? You can't possibly be suggesting using the crystals to…" Fear was dripping from her questions.

"No, No! I would never. Queen Serenity put Luna and Artemis into stasis and that is what I am suggesting. We place a couple of the babies in a kind of stasis. Like hitting pause. We let the other one or two grow naturally and then when we are ready, we can release the others to develop and grow to term."

Usagi seemed to relax a little and started nibbling on her food again before looking up at Mamoru, "Can I take some time and think about it?"

Mamoru nodded, "Just as I didn't rush to this suggestion, I wouldn't expect you to make this decision rashly. I would suggest that WE make a decision before you get to far along as you would still be carrying around the weight of the sleeping ones even as the other progressed."

Usagi nodded her understanding, knowing that what he suggested meant that all four would have a better chance of growing to term if not all together and that she may be able to assist with he enemy more as her energy should return to a more normal level as less drains on the reserves. She wasn't able to nap and if the exhaustion hadn't forced it she wouldn't have slept that night either.

Mamoru was surprised to wake up to Usagi watching him sleep, "Well this is a change," he laughed.

"I think you are right. Your suggestion makes sense and I wouldn't be as useless. If we were able to we could arguably put this whole pregnancy on hold til after the enemy was defeated and then like you said do one or two at a time." He nodded. "I want Mercury, Pluto and Saturn to weigh in on this first."

"I will call them and ask them to come by this afternoon." Usagi nodded and laid back down as she felt some weight lifted off of her shoulders.

Today was Yuro and Hotaru's turn and they had taken Chibi-Usa to the shopping district and while in a charm shop Hotaru's senses spiked as a droid as Rubeus called his monsters reached to grab Chibi-Usa, "Master, I have the rabbit." She shrieked. Yuro used lightning reflexes all but throwing the child into Hotaru's arms before blocking the droid from following the two as Hotaru fled with the younger girl in her arms, "Senshi, Droid at the new charmed shop. I have Chibi-Usa and had to leave Yuro alone to fight." Hotaru called through the communicator.

Around the city the senshi and generals' heads perked up as their communicators went off and those nearest checked in. "On our way," Ami, Masaki and Makoto all answered as they were all within a block of the attack.

Usagi sat bolt up right and had Mamoru not been as quick as he was she would have teleported herself to Hotaru and Chibi-Usa. "Usako, The senshi have this and Hotaru would die before anything happened to Chibi-Usa." She stiffened knowing he was right but feeling so helpless was not a feeling she liked, especially when her child was in danger.

In the charm shop Yuro had been thrown into a shelf and while flying backwards toward the shelf he transformed into Sailor Sun and drew his sword. "You are going to pay for that, Solar Blade Slash!"

Mercury stood outside the shop, as tactical while Jupiter and Sol joined Sailor Sun in battle the two Firey blades dicing the droid while Jupiter used her powers to electrify the situation and the three quickly turned the droid to dust. "Hurry! We have to find Hota-chan they are after Chibi-Usa!" Sailor Sun explained even as he started to run in the last direction, he saw his girlfriend heading in.

Taking the hint, the group quickly followed while mercury triangulated the location using Saturn's Aura. They arrived to find Saturn transformed and glaive poised for battle as she faced Rubeus in a courtyard. Rubeus laughed, "You little girl think you can take me, on of the generals of the dark moon."

Saturn raised her glaive, "Silence Glaive Surprise!"

Rubeus laughed as the attack merely bounced off his force field much to the dismay of the newly arrived reinforcements. Scanning the scene with his eyes Sailor Sun quickly found the child hiding behind Sailor Saturn in a bush. He took his spot next to his girlfriend with his sword igniting with the fierceness of his anger at this grown man that would dare threaten a child. "I have had enough of you. This ends today!" He said charging Rubeus.

Jupiter and Mercury took the opportunity to grab the frightened child and get her out of there with Sol protecting their retreat.

The general continued to laugh as he sent his own attack of mini mines at the pests that were preventing him from achieving his goal. Saturn and Sun used their agility and their weapons to deflect the mines and minimizing the damage they took. The two senshi nodded to each other and in a combined, "Solar Ignite!" and "Silence Glaive Surprise!" followed up with a flaming sword from behind as Sol joined the battle.

Rubeus used an energy attack to send the warriors back but Sailor Sun was not having any of it. This horrible man had attacked his friends and family multiple times and was now after a helpless five-year-old. Sailor Sun growled as he adjusted his grip on his sword and attacked, then in a blinding light and without even realizing he was doing it Sailor Sun transformed into Prince Tranquility and using all the power of the sun struck and broke Rubeus' force field and cut the surprised dark moon general's arm. He then pulled his sword back and stabbed the general through the abdomen, "No one dares attack my family," he whispered as he withdrew his bloody sword and stood above the wounded enemy emotionless as Rubeus teleported away to die.

Saturn and Sol stood in shock. The transformation was so powerful that every senshi and general felt it. Usagi smiled and relaxed in Mamoru's embrace as they both knew what Sailor Sun had done and why. Their family safe, Usagi drifted off to sleep.

It was almost supper when Ami, Hotaru and Setsuna arrived at the couple's home. Chibi-Usa had been left with Yuro and Ryo as they didn't need any distractions for this conversation. Usagi and Mamoru explained what their plan was and then Usagi asked, "What do you three think? Is it safe? Would it work?"

Ami pulled out her computer while Setsuna transformed and summoned her garnet orb, both became highly focused on whatever they were doing with their respective tools. Hotaru transformed and then looked to Usagi using her eyes to ask permission to examine her, Usagi nodded and got comfortable on the couch using Mamoru's lap as a pillow. Mamoru sat silently giving Usagi the odd glance to check on her and giving her smiles of encouragement.

Saturn looked up and nodded, "All four appear to be healthy and at a level of development that this should work with. Keep in mind that this has never been done before."

Ami looked up, "I agree with Saturn. I don't see any reason why this shouldn't work but we have nothing to base this off of."

Everyone looked to the senshi of time as she slowly turned her gaze from her talisman. "I feel it would be best that Saturn and I lend our powers to aid in this process but, other than that I see no reason for concern."

Ami smiled and said, "That leaves the last decision up to you two. How many are putting in this stasis?"

Usagi looked at Mamoru as she sat up, you could see a small bump but nothing a baggy shirt wouldn't cover and not one that was obviously a baby bump. "If we do this and I start fighting as Tsukia again, what are the risks to the babies?"

The group looked around shocked that she would be considering fighting let alone asking them to consider this. All three in chorus answered, "I wouldn't recommend fighting at all." They each looked to the other again as if deciding who to talk first.

"Usagi, even if they are in stasis they are still in your body and if you got injured they could still be lost, just as if they were developing normally." Ami explained.

Usagi hung her head part of her had known this, "So, either way I am sidelined for at least two years." She sighed. Mamoru placed his arm around her doing his best to comfort her. He could feel her confliction and defeat through their link and it was amplified when he reached out telepathically. There was nothing he could say or do. It was about her and her body. He knew he had to support her no matter her decision. "Well, if that is the case, we will leave one to develop and the other three to sleep. That way if needed I should atleast have energy to help if not being able to physically join you."

Decisions made the couple summoned their crystals and sent their desires through the crystals while Saturn and Pluto sent their powers of healing, rebirth, and time toward Usagi. Ami transformed so she could use her visor as she continued to scan, monitor and type into her computer. After a while Usagi started glowing with various purple hues before a sudden burst of gold and Silver and she collapsed.

Mamoru caught her just as she was about to hit the floor using his golden crystal to create a cushion of power for her to land on. He the looked to the three senshi for any sign of if it worked, if Usagi was ok? If the babies were ok?

Saturn moved her from the cushion of golden power to the couch, examining Usagi and nodding, "As far as I can tell it worked. The use of the silver crystal is why she passed out but in a couple days she should be back to normal and have more energy."

Everyone looked to Mercury who smiled and put her visor away, "Everything is looking good from a strictly medical point of view."

Pluto released her transformation and looked to Mamoru, "My prince, we will leave you both to rest and the senshi can watch Chibi-Usa until you are both back to full strength."

Mamoru smiled as he picked up his princess and headed to bed. The three women letting themselves out.
