Kagome felt as if her head wanted to explode. She felt several strong demonic presences, yet her miko instincts (haha) said she was the threat.

Groaning, Kagome opened her eyes to see a head of short, bubble gum pink hair with little black crosses adorning it, obscuring her field of vision.

"I don't care, she broke into my pocket netherworld."

The voice was shrill and pretentious, making her ears ring.

"Seraphina-sis, so did Usalia and me!"

Silence met that statement and had Kagome( snorting through her nose), causing several people, no demons, to look at her.

"Call, Christo!"

Arching an eyebrow, Kagome looked at a tiny demon girl with blond hair and yellow rabbit ears. She couldn't help but think how cute this demon girl was. And that she wanted to rub those demonic bunny ears.

"So, you are a human priestess of some age, talent, and power," The green-haired, glasses-wearing angel wearing fake demon horns, Christo, said.

The sight of the raven-haired woman nodding had him frowning.

"What do they call someone with a soul this pure, Christo?" A tiny half-angel, half-demon girl said.

"Scicilly, she's of an extinct species in the human realm. Miss Kagome is a Miko," Christo said, his voice cracking a pitch or three as he tried to contain his excitement. "And she is incapable of lying."

"Whoa!"

Rolling his eyes, he saw the woman looking at him with a mocking smile. He didn't like her. She was dangerous to his sister, Liezerota.

"Should I leave?"

He wanted to say yes, but his sister said 'no' before he could speak. And then the rest of the idiots agreed. This fact had the woman laughing and relaxing.

"Good, I prefer to hang with demons over humans."

He did not enjoy the chill that rolled down his spine at her words.

Killia watched as another verbal spat took place.

He found it amusing how Void got paranoid around the strange human woman. She was adaptable and very similar in temperament to Liezerota. For some reason, that only triggered Void even more.

"Hee hee, one would think the former, violent Emperor had a crush on Kagome."

He was turning to look at Etna, who stood with both forms (male and female) of Laharl, Metallia, and Scicilly. He felt as if he had an epiphany. It made him chuckle. There was no way it was true. Void only cared about his Elder sister, Liezerota, who was his (Killia's) fiancee.

"He can eat shit," Metallia snorted. "He has no chance since she seems to want to kill him more often than naught."

"Oh-ho-ho-ho, I'll ask then."

At the words from Seraphina, Killia shook his head and left. He did not want to see that meltdown as it happened.

Annoyed. Tired. Those words described Kagome perfectly. It had been a year since she woke up in Seraphina's private pocket netherworld, all her memories intact.

Everybody but Void was easy to get along with. She had built a good friendship with Asagi, a human gun-toting demon hunter turned idol who liked demons, and Liezerota, a golden-haired demoness.

Liezerota's brother couldn't handle her being near his sister. She'd heard of sibling complex before, but he took the whole damn cake and a bag of fucking chips.

"I told you to stay away from my sister lest you hurt her or, worse, kill her!"

Void was shouting at her again. Unable to help herself, Kagome rolled her eyes at him openly. Of course, that set him off even more.

"You are a threat to everyone. You could sneeze and kill all of us."

At his words, Kagome just smiled widely.

"Thank you for finally acknowledging I'm stronger than you," She said, mocking him.

Her words made Void go still. His face went pale, flushed a dark red, and became pale again. His mouth seemed to open and close, though no words escaped. Shrugging her shoulders, Kagome turned and left the frustrated idiot alone.

"If you agree to my challenge, I will tell you exactly what I think about you and how I feel about you."

Leizerota stiffened at Kagome's calm tone as her face stayed a serene mask.

"Hrmph, fine. I can do any challenge you give with ease."

Leizerota had an odd feeling and wanted to stop her brother.

"I have heard and witnessed. Miss Kagome state your challenge and penalty should Void fail," Leize's father, Godldion, spoke up before she could. "To be safe, we shall move this to the martial training grounds. I do not want my home destroyed."

"I second this," Killia, her mate, also spoke up, leaving her stunned as he tried to avoid anything related to Void and Kagome.

Leize just pursed her lips as she side-eyed the human miko.

"That's fine with me, Lord Goldion," Kagome replied, still looking serene. However, Leize saw a glint of amusement and mischief in her eyes.

Void glared at the raven-haired woman as he waited for her to set the challenge. The calm smile on her lips infuriated him to new heights.

"My challenge is for you, Void, to attack with my full strength and break through my defenses," Kagome said. "But you can not seriously harm me or kill me. You get three tries. If you fail, you must stand defenseless without dodging and receive my attack head-on. And don't worry, I won't use my Horeiki, so I won't be able to kill you."

He couldn't help but sneer. She was making it too easy for him. And by some odd quirk, he couldn't break through her defenses. There was no way in all three realms she'd ever be able to hurt him without her purifying powers.

"Fine. You said you'd be honest and tell what you think of me," He said, looking down at her and at her.

Seeing her smile, Void suddenly felt regretful, reminding her. He suddenly didn't want to know when he saw that smile. That smile was like a little voice telling him that learning the truth of her thoughts would change a lot. And not necessarily for the better.

"I find you to be a self-absorbed narcissist with an over-inflated sister complex that is suffocating those around you. And that you are nothing more than an overgrown man-demon-child," she said in such a monotonous voice and blank face.

Her words stunned him, having hit his sensitive spots. Then anger rushed through him as he pulled back his fist, his demonic ki making glow black as he quickly attacked the tiny, aggravating woman.

A soft 'oh' was heard through the root of his attack, and when the dust eventually settled, Void felt his whole body violently twitch. She was still standing there, unharmed, unphased, and unimpressed.

Snarling, Void attacked again, using one of his perfected fist techniques, Big Bang, and concentrating the power.

Again, when the dust settled after finishing the attack, Void saw the insufferable woman once more. She was still smiling and didn't look like he had ruffled a strand of her hair. Something seemed to snap inside, and a calm washed over him.

Taking a deep breath, Void found his center and spoke slowly, "Macrocosm."

It was his father's ultimate technique. One he'd never been able to do without being beside his father, Zeroken, and now brother-in-law, Killia. It was unrivaled throughout the Nether Worlds. But it wasn't indeed a destructive attack.

A faint gasp of surprise followed by a soft cough was heard before Void felt as if the world had vanished. The woman had dust on her, but an undamaged silver shield was pulsating around her to protect Kagome.

"That makes three," Kagome said softly and gently. It had chills rolling down his spine. "You lost, and now it's my turn."

He watched as the shield vanished, and Kagome walked to him and stood on the balls of her feet.

"You're a demon and heal fast, so there shouldn't be too much of a problem."

Then, before he could blink, Kagome flicked his forehead, dropped to her feet, turned, and walked away. Frowning, Void opened his mouth to question what she meant, only to feel as if his body was shattering painfully from the inside out, over and over. He felt himself heal as rapidly as he could. Yet it seemed as if whatever Kagome had done wouldn't stop any time soon.

"Hey, Kagome-sis, what did you do to Void?"

Zeroken looked at the tiny human in awe.

"I flicked his third-eye chakra, Zero-kun," she responded. "Before you ask further, I wanted to open it since its blockage was affecting his crown chakra or higher vision and thinking."

Zeroken blinked, feeling a bit confused. He knew this was an answer, yet not the one he wanted.

"Okay. But what did you do? He looks like he is shattering from the inside out," he said.

A soft, trilling laugh came before Kagome touched his shoulder as she stopped beside him and the rest of the group.

"You know I've lived a few lives, right?"

Nodding his head, Zeroken looked at Kagome expectantly.

"One of those lives was in a world of cultivation. It taught me how to separate my Qi(ki/chi) as spiritual or physical force," Kagome explained. "And I gave my word not to use my Horeiki or spiritual Qi(Ki/chi)force. So, I injected pure physical Qi(ki/chi) force. As you described, he is shattering from the inside out, over and over. And will continue to do so until he can find that 'calm' he displayed and control my physical Qi(ki/Chi) force."

Zeroken was shocked and thoroughly horrified.

"Do you hate Void that much? Mean your defense was nearly impregnable," he mumbled.

"My defense is made up of my soul condensed into a physical shield so it could be seen," Kagome said. "As for hating Void, I am incapable of that emotion."

Zeroken saw the slight lift to the corners of her mouth as her eyes shifted slightly toward Void.

"So, Kagome, you're single, right?"

Zeroken choked on the breath he had just taken.

"Father!"

"Master!"

"D-Da-Dad!"

Three distinct voices, one stuttering due to their situation and filled with pain, filled the air.

"Yes. No, I'm not interested. And now I need to leave; I have plans with Red Magnus to visit Scorching Flame; bye!"

Zeroken felt his jaw drop hard and fast as Red Magnus smiled slightly sheepishly as he waved for Kagome to head to the dimension gate.

Kagome hadn't even gotten three steps before she was stopped by a hand on her wrist. Frowning, she looked over her shoulder to see Void.

"Kagome?"

Her name was said as a plea, and it made her sigh. Void had gotten more passive with her, letting his guard down since that day half a year ago.

Thinking, Kagome turned and stepped into his space and kissed his chin right below his lips. She hated that she was so damn short.

When she pulled back, Kagome saw so many emotions dance across his face before she felt a hand cupping the back of her head, and a second before, she was being kissed deeply and possessively.

Goldion sniggered as he watched his impetuous son claim what he wanted.

Having raised his two children the best he could on his own while still perfecting his demon fist technique, Goldion knew he was lacking. But he still knew his children well enough.

Yet now his daughter was expecting, and his son finally grew up enough to realize what he truly wanted that didn't revolve around his elder sister.

"M-master?"

"Job well done, Goldion."

Looking at Zeroken and Seraphina, he smiled. He had conspired with Seraphina to make Void realize he didn't hate Kagome. He learned from Leize that he was partial to Void except for his immature personality and sister complex.

Then again, Seraphina finally gave up on Killia and recognized her feelings for Red Magnes, or the 'stupid ape' as she called him affectionately. As for Zeroken, he liked Usalia, and both were still children and had a hundred years before even thinking in that direction.

But for now, he had to figure out and plan a wedding soon before Void did something to make Kagome vanish. He wanted that feisty little human woman to give his son a child and him a grandbaby.

THE END!
