Chapter 13: Misjudged
(Intro)
Drag-Ball, the second biggest sport in all of Dragon City. Phistus and Khatah were teamed up in a match. Khatah had the ball, but was being chased by one of the Dragon Flares. But then, Phistus and Brutalus rode up and bashed into the Dragon Flare. "Oh! Fierce ramming block by Phistus! He's got him pinned down with his trenching gear!" Marshal Budge announced. Khatah mag-jumped off Shock-Ra, performed excellent acrobatics and threw the ball into the goal, putting him and Phistus up to 3 points. "Mag-jump by Khatah. He spins, he rolls, he scores! Khatah and Phistus score!" Marshal Budge announced.
Meanwhile, the Penn Team was watching the match from outside the arena. "Wow! What a matchup!" Artha said with excitement. "I know. Khatah's quite the Drag-Ball player." Erika said. "And with Phistus as his partner, they're practically unbeatable." Derek said. "Hard to believe that you and Benny were actually invited to play, Artha." Cain said. "I know. Speaking of which, Benny, are you and Longma ready?" Artha asked. "Yep. We're all set to play." Benny said as he walked up with his Dragon, Longma. "You do realize that while Artha gets to mag-jump and score, you get to go one-on-one with Phistus." Parmon said. "Why not use this White Repel Gear?" Lance asked, holding out a White Gear. "Repel Gear's for heights, Lance. Drag-Ball is about strength and speed." Artha said. Lance sulked at that. "Speaking of which, we better get you 2 out onto the field. You have the next match." Connor said.
Later, Artha and Benny were inside the arena, preparing for their match. "Ladies and Gentlemen of Dragon City, we have a special guest referee for this next competition! He's the 20 time Drag-Ball Champion, the only undefeated champion ever, the leader of the powerful Will of the Dragon Crew, please welcome Kawake!" Marshall Budge announced. Kawake and his Brown Earth-Class Dragon, Rumbull, walked out to the center of the field. "Drac! Kawake in person!" Artha said in awe. "And his partner, Rumbull, the mightiest Earth-Class Dragon on the planet." Benny said in awe. "Out of everything Dad's told us, seeing him here just…doesn't compare." Artha said. "No doubt. I can just sense the Draconium Energy within Rumbull. I'm almost jealous." Beau said. "It is a great honor to have you here today." Marshal Budge said. "I am honored the fans still remember me." Kawake said. "Oh, you were the greatest." Artha said. "Thank you." Kawake said. Beau even bowed his head in respect to Rumbull, who returned the bow with equal respect.
"These are the next competitors. Artha and Benny Penn of the Penn Racing team." Marshal Budge announced. Artha and Benny's siblings, Kitt, Parmon and Cain cheered from the sidelines with Connor and Moordryd. "And Crowe and Tode from the Force of the Dragon Racing team." Crowe was a dark blue harpy-man, riding a Black Dragon. Tode was a green-skinned man with frog eyes, riding a Purple Dragon. The crowd instantly booed these 2, knowing the reputation of these mutant men. "Been a while since I've seen anyone from the Force of the Dragon crew." Connor said. "Who are they, Dad?" Jessica asked. "While they're not an official racing team, I've heard that they were a mercenary group of mutants that've been lurking through the city districts." Connor explained. "I heard that my father hires them from time to time for his more dirtier jobs that the Dragon Eyes can't handle." Moordryd said. Kitt, Parmon and the Penn siblings stared at Crowe and Tode, thinking about what they said.
"Penns, I knew your parents. Your mother was a great woman." Kawake said. "Perhaps you've heard of us too?" Crowe asked. "Nothing good." Kawake said. Crowe and Tode glared while Tode licked his lips with an unusual-looking tongue. "But I'm not here to judge. I'm here to help and hopefully, to teach." Kawake said. "Teach what? How to run away?" Tode asked mockingly. Artha and Benny glared at the 2 mutants. "I retired because there's more to life than Drag-Ball." Kawake said. "You were at the top of your game, then you had that big wreck, lost your nerve and got scared." Crowe mocked. "Drag-Ball is about teamwork and how strict and skill find balance and fit together for a single purpose." Kawake said. "I have returned to pass on what I know. Especially to the children of my oldest friends." Artha and Benny smiled at that. "For instance, Tode's mag-blast fires are being weighted wrong, that's the wrong level in Trenching Gear for the Draconium variant of his Dragon. He'll throw his Dragon out of balance and could get hurt." Kawake explained. "Man, he talks just like Parm." Benny said. "I'm afraid you can't compete like that. I'm sorry. You'll have to forfeit the match." Kawake said. Artha and Benny looked at each other with concern, knowing that this won't end well.
"Heck we will. You can't make us." Crowe said. "We came to play and win. And that's exactly what we're gonna do. Regardless of our Dragons." Tode said. "Yeah. And you're too scared to even come off that Dragon and teach us a lesson. Part of your little accident I believe." Crowe mocked. "You jerks might wanna work on your manners if you have them. Disabled people like Kawake deserve our respect for their wisdom and their greatness." Artha said. "Please. Why do you care, stable brat?" Crowe asked. "Because I know how special disabled people really are, compared to disrespectful creeps like you 2 and Word Paynn." Artha said. Word snarled at that comment. The crowd all started shouting, agreeing with Artha's words, and started throwing food at the 2 mutants. "Argh! Let's get out of here!" Tode exclaimed after getting his head hit by a watermelon. "Oh, don't bother. Let us show you out." Artha said. Beau and Longma magged the mutants and their Dragons, and threw them out of the stadium. "PENN!" Crowe shouted as they flew out into the distance. "And there you have it, folks. The winners by forfeit are Artha and Benny Penn." Marshal Budge announced. "And might I add, that was very heartwarming speech, Artha." "Thank you, Mr. Budge. It was the least I could do." Artha said. "And now it's time for the finals. It will be Artha and Benny Penn vs Phistus and Khatah!" Marshal Budge announced as Phistus, Khatah, Brutalus and Shock-Ra came onto the field. "We heard your speech, Artha." Phistus said. "Yes. You truly are honorable." Khatah said. "But don't think that means we won't go easy on you." Phistus said. "Wouldn't have it any other way." Artha said.
"Then let the final match BEGIN!" Marshal Budge announced. Both teams got ready and prepared to get the ball in the middle. "You know what to do, Khatah. I'll take out the Penn boys while you get the ball and score." Phistus explained. "Right. I enjoy that play." Khatah said. "Keep steady, Ben. Prepare for the toss. You block ahead and I'll go for the ball." Artha explained. "Got it, bro." Benny said. The anticipation within the crowd started growing as Marshal Budge rang the gong. As the ball was shot into the air, Khatah and Benny charged forward. "Go get it, Artha!" Beau exclaimed as he magged Artha into the air. "Oh, I don't think so, kid." Phistus said as Brutalus fired a mag-beam at Beau's, disconnecting it from Artha. As Artha almost got the ball, the mag-beam detached from his back, causing him to drop back down to the arena. The ball landed behind him. Phistus and Khatah rode towards it, but Benny and Longma bashed into them, pinning them down with their Brown Gear. "Oh! Slamming hit by Benny!" Marshal Budge announced. "Go, Artha! Go, go, go!" Benny exclaimed. Artha raced for the ball and grabbed it. "Artha races for the ball and he's got it!" Marshal Budge announced. "Wow. Not bad for a first time Drag-Ball player." Khatah said with impression. "You said it." Phistus said. Artha raced for the goal as Beau followed. "Here comes his Dragon." Beau magged Artha up towards the goal. "He mags, he leaps…" Artha tossed the ball into the goal. "HE SCORES!" Everyone cheered at Artha's first goal. "Yea! Well done, Beau!" Artha cheered as he landed back on Beau's back. "Back at you, bro." Beau said.
In the second half, as Artha was magged up to get the ball, Phistus was magged up and bashed him, grabbing the ball and tossing it to Khatah. As Shock-Ra magged Khatah up, he flipped and tossed the ball into the goal. "Khatah scores and the game is tied!" Marshal Budge announced.
In the third half, as Benny got the ball, Brutalus and Shock-Ra boxed Longma in. "Artha, heads up!" Benny called tossing the ball. "Allow me!" Beau exclaimed as he leapt up and swatted the ball with his tail into the goal. "Dragon tail kick! GOAL! And it's 2-1 for Penn Stables." Marshal Budge announced. Artha and Benny fist-bumped while Beau and Longma slapped tails.
In the fourth half, as Brutalus and Longma ran for the ball, Phistus whacked it with his staff, sending it to Khatah, who was magged as he grabbed it. He kicked it into the goal and scored.
It was time for the final half. "The score is dead even at 2. Next goal wins." Marshal Budge announced. Both teams glared with determination at each other. Marshal Budge rang the gong and the ball was shot into the air. Artha and Khatah were magged right towards it. Artha caught the ball, but Khatah bashed him, knocking it out of his grip. The ball landed in front of Phistus. "Quickly, Phistus! Get the ball!" Khatah exclaimed. Phistus was about to go for the ball, but Benny and Longma bashed into him and locked him in place with his Trenching Gear. They struggled against each other with their staffs. "Stronger than you look!" Phistus grunted. "I'll take that as a compliment!" Benny grunted. Artha and Khatah raced for the ball. As Khatah reached for it, Beau swiped with his tail and knocked it towards Benny and Phistus. The ball hit Phistus, knocking him out, and landed in Benny's grip. The crowd cheered. "They're gonna win! They're gonna win!" Kitt cheered. Artha and Beau pinned Khatah and Shock-Ra back with their Trenching Gear. "Score, Benny! You got the best shot! Use the move we've been practicing!" Artha exclaimed. "You think you can hold Phistus and Brutalus long enough, girl?" Benny asked. Longma growled as she nodded. "Alright. I'm going in!" Benny called. He leapt off Longma and ran for the goal. Just then, he tossed up the ball and leapt up with a shout. [Slow motion] He turned around and back flipped, kicking the ball. Everyone watched with widened eyes as the ball headed towards the goal and…SCORED! [Normal motion]
Everyone cheered at the sight of what just happened. "That was an amazing shot made by Benny Penn! Penn stables wins!" Marshal Budge announced. "I…I did it. It worked." Benny said in awe. Just then, Longma pounced on him and licked him, making Benny laugh. Artha, Beau, Phistus and Khatah walked over and helped Benny up. "We did it, Benny! All our practice paid off!" Artha cheered as he hugged his brother. Kitt, Parmon, the siblings, Moordryd, Cain and Connor raced over and joined in. Kawake watched the scene with an approving smile. But then he frowned into sadness.
Later, after everyone left the arena, Kawake and Rumbull approached the Penn team. "That was quite the match you and your brother played today, Artha." Kawake said. "Thank you, Kawake. We practiced every day ever since we got that invite to play." Artha said. "Though it took a while for me to get that special move just right." Benny said. "It was a perfect move, Benny. I remember when Kawake used to use moves like that back in the day." Connor said. "Um, if I may, what was all that talk about disabled people, Artha? And what did it have to do with Kawake's retirement?" Parmon asked. Artha looked at Kawake, who nodded. "Dad and I were a select few who knew the truth about why Kawake retired 5 years ago after his accident." Artha said. Kawake magged off Rumbull, along with his saddle. And then, the 2 round pads on Rumbull's shoulders magged off and attached to the saddle, turning it into a wheelchair. Everyone, except Connor and Artha, gasped in shock as Kawake rolled away. "Kawake is…paralyzed." Parmon said. "Yes. The accident damaged his spine, paralyzing him from the waist down." Connor said. "That's awful. Poor Kawake." Holly said. Artha watched with sadness as Kawake rolled back into the arena.
Later, Kawake looked out at the arena, hearing the echoing chants of his fans. How he wished he could enjoy the thrill of being able to play again the way he used to. Just then, a familiar figure approached him from the shadows. "They don't understand you, do they, Kawake?" She asked. Kawake turned around to see the Shadow Booster. "Leave me alone!" He demanded. "The nobility of what you try to show them, the examples you set. It would seem that we are all misunderstood, unappreciated, misjudged." Shadow Booster said. "We?" Kawake asked, unconvinced. "Word Paynn was a great street racer like you once. He invented most of the racing and battling Gears used today." Shadow Booster explained. "Yes, I know. Paynn Industries Gear is some of the best on the planet." Kawake said. "Yes. Today, it is. But what did Paynn get back then? He was kicked out of racing, rejected for polluting the sport. Now he is useful again." Shadow Booster explained. "There are many on the street who do not find Word Paynn 'useful.' Some say he's trying to drive a wedge between humans and Dragons. And there is a fear growing that he's preparing to start another Dragon-Human War. And with help from the Gloomix Clan, your benefactors." Kawake explained. "Now who's doing the judging, cripple?" Shadow Booster asked.
As Kawake thought about what she said, Shadow Booster pulled out some Black Gear and projected a hologram of Grey Draconium. "Do you know what this is?" She asked. "Grey Draconium! It exists!" Kawake said in surprise as he was handed the Gear. "Yes. Word Paynn has found the old shedding grounds where the Grey Dragons used to deposit their exo-bones. Think of it. The power and adaptability of Grey Draconium, the way it can mesh with other energies and life forces, Paynn can help you with those legs of yours. You can race once more and you'll never be taunted like that again." Shadow Booster explained. "I am retired, paralyzed." Kawake said, turning away from Shadow Booster. "Kawake, don't you see? People like us, we can use Grey Draconium to unite humans and Dragons like never before. There will be no war. But we need you and your Earth-Class Dragon to dig for it." Shadow Booster said, bringing up the map to its location. "Here's the map. Just consider it." Kawake thought about it as he stared at the map before wheeling out of the arena. "You have no idea that you'll be digging for raw Black Draconium to help Paynn and my Queen make hundreds of Wraith Dragons." Shadow Booster said, cackling.
Later, the Penn team arrived at the compound for the Will of the Dragon crew. "This is it. The Will of the Dragon crew." Kitt said. "Come on. I wanna make sure Kawake's okay." Artha said. The team walked inside the compound, but it was empty. "Hello? Kawake? Rumbull?" Artha called. "They're not here. That's odd." Connor said. "What's that?" Cain asked, pointing to the Black Gear on the table. Artha walked up to it and activated it, opening the hologram of the map. "What is that?" Gwen asked. "It looks like some kind of plan." Artha said. "These are plans for an excavation. A dig." Parmon said. "Hmm. A quick analysis, the plans reveal this location triangulating in the second variant tangent, this calls for an excavation on the north slope of the city canyon. And to do that, the dig would have to go through one of the city support braces. Brace 05-19 to be exact." He revealed. "This is the quick analysis?" Lance asked. "Wait, that brace is the main support holding up the city structure. Digging there could cause an avalanche that could bring down half of Work Town." Cain said. Just then, the hologram revealed a familiar logo. "That's the Paynn Incorporated Logo." Kitt said. "My father's company logo." Moordryd said venomously. "Word has Kawake working for him?" Erika asked. "Or he tricked him somehow." Parmon said. "Not just him. The Shadow Booster." Artha said, holding his hand over the Gear. "How do you know, Artha?" Kurt asked. "I can sense her Booster Energy coming off this thing." Artha said.
Later, down at the support brace, Kawake and Rumbull were digging into it. "Kawake!" Artha called. Kawake turned around to see him and his team. "You can't dig here. It's not safe. You're putting half the city in danger." Artha said. "What do you know? I've had people misjudge me before and now you do it?" Kawake asked. "Well, we don't think so. If you're working for Word Paynn, you're making a huge mistake." Kitt said. "It's true. My father will say anything to get what he wants." Moordryd said. "The Will of the Dragon crew always thinks before it acts, young ones. We prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt and we do not judge." Kawake said. "Then why are you doing this?" Connor asked. "I am digging for Grey Draconium. To help save the planet from a Dragon-Human War." Kawake said. "There's no Grey Draconium here. The old Grey Dragon shedding grounds were lost decades ago." Cain said. "Liar! The Shadow Booster told me that Word Paynn discovered it here." Kawake said as he and Rumbull continued digging. "Kawake! Stop!" Artha exclaimed. "Please!" Lance begged. But Kawake ignored them and kept digging. "This whole area is unstable." Parmon said. "I know what I'm doing!" Kawake exclaimed. "And you're digging through a major support structure for Work Town." Parmon said. "You're just a child. Why should I believe you?" Kawake asked. As he gave one last dig, the entire structure started to crack. "KAWAKE!" Artha shouted.
Just then, as the structure cracked, the spot where Kawake was digging broke apart to reveal a vein of Black Draconium. "That's not Grey Draconium. It's Black!" Parmon exclaimed in horror. "Enough for my father to make hundreds of Wrath Dragons." Moordryd added. "The Shadow Booster tricked me!" Kawake exclaimed. Suddenly, the ground beneath the team started cracking open. The team screamed as they fell into a deep chasm. Kawake and Rumbull looked down into the chasm, not seeing them anywhere. "No! What have I done?" Kawake said to himself shamefully.
As the team continued to fall, the Boosters prepared to transform. "RELEASE THE DRAGON!" "RELEASE THE FIRE DRAGON!" "RELEASE THE VOLCANO DRAGON!" "RELEASE THE SMOKE DRAGON!" "RELEASE THE EARTH DRAGON!" "RELEASE THE AIR DRAGON!" Artha, Kitt and Derek activated their gauntlets, Kurt blew his horn, Charlie activated his necklace and Erika put on her tiara. They transformed into their Booster forms and Beau switched back to his classic gold color. Artha and Beau dived down past the others while the Boosters caught up. "Artha!" Holly cried. "Where are you going?!" Moordryd asked. "Down!" Artha exclaimed. "Obviously! But what about us?!" Parmon asked. "No worries. We got it covered." Kitt said. The Boosters activated their White Repel Gear and latched onto the others. "We're all set, Artha." Kurt said through the vid-comm. "Then it's time." Artha said. "Oh yeah." Beau said. He activated his flaps, flew up and grabbed the gear's cables in his mouth. "Gotcha!" He said as he grabbed the wall with his claws. Wyldfyr, Volcanya, Libris, Dyonne and Talewhirl, Erika's now-named Orange Dragon, all latched onto the wall. But they had trouble holding on due to the combined weight of the others. They slid down the wall by their claws. "It's no good! Our Dragons can't get a grip!" Kitt exclaimed. "But there is a way." Artha said. "Time to break out a new trick." Beau said. He roared as his body started to transform. He grew the same claws and spikes Somber had, and gripped hard into the wall. "What the Drac?" Erika said in surprise. "Like our new trick? We call it Somber Mode." Artha said. "And now I got a better grip." Beau said as he started climbing with his new claws. The other Dragons followed his lead.
"Even with 6 Dragons, it's going to take too long to carry us the rest of the way! Just find a place for us to hang out." Parmon said. "He's right. We've got to stop that avalanche or most of Work Town will fall." Charlie said. "Okay. Beau, see that shard up ahead?" Artha said, pointing to a shard sticking out of the wall. "I see it and know what to do with it." Beau said. As he and the Dragons managed to climb up to it, they dropped their gears off over it, leaving the team dangling. "How's here?" Artha asked. "Oh, thanks!" Parmon exclaimed. "'Find a place for us to hang out.' Brilliant choice of words, Professor." Fallon said sarcastically. "We'll come back for you guys once we stop that avalanche." Erika said. The Boosters and their Dragons continued climbing up the wall. "Well, what shall we do while we dangle over a bottomless chasm for the time being?" Cain asked. Suddenly, the entire chasm started shaking. "How about holding on for dear life?!" Gwen exclaimed. Suddenly, as the shaking caused half the chasm wall to crack, a chunk of rock near the team broke off the wall and revealed a turquoise gauntlet and a trident-shaped pendent. "Is that…a Booster gauntlet?" Jessica asked. "A turquoise gauntlet." Parmon said. "But which Booster did it belong to?" Fallon asked. "That gauntlet once belonged to only one Booster. The Water Booster." Connor said. Benny was in awe as he stared at it. He reached for it and grabbed it and the key, feeling something connect him to it. Longma chirped at him. "Well, let's hope this works." Benny said. As he put the gauntlet on his right arm and placed in the key, he felt an energy surge through his body. As he transformed, another chunk of rock broke off the wall, revealing a strange relic. "Look!" Parmon called, pointing at the relic. "It's another relic of the Gloomix Clan!" Connor said in horror. "We better grab that before Shadow Booster shows up." Moordryd said. "Too late." A familiar voice said in the air, shocking the team. Just then, Shadow Booster appeared out of the shadows and grabbed the relic. "Thank Kawake for doing the hard work for me." She said before disappearing into the shadows. "Scales! It was in our grasp!" Moordryd exclaimed. "Don't worry about her. We got our own problems." Benny said. The team turned to see that he was outfitted into a water-themed Booster armor.
Meanwhile, as the Boosters and their Dragons reached the top, they saw that Kawake and Rumbull were gone. "Where's Kawake?" Artha asked. "He and Rumbull must've run off." Kurt guessed. "We've got a bigger problem, guys! Look!" Kitt exclaimed, pointing up to the brace's support. It was starting to break and collapse. "The brace support! It's collapsing!" Derek exclaimed. "Beau, mag me up there." Artha said. "Right. Dragons, mag your Boosters to the support brace!" Beau exclaimed as he magged Artha up to the support brace. The other Dragons did the same with their Boosters. The Boosters struggled to push the brace back in place. The Dragons even struggled to hold their riders in place. "It's no good! Even with 6 of us, it's too heavy!" Charlie exclaimed. "There's gotta be something we can do!" Kurt exclaimed. Just then, Kawake and Rumbull returned, and saw the Boosters. "The Boosters!" He said in shock. "It's Kawake!" Erika exclaimed. "Kawake, we need your help! You and Rumbull!" Artha exclaimed. "I've done enough! I unearthed dangerous Black Draconium, doomed a group of young ones, along with an old friend, and half of Work Town with my bad judgement. All because I wanted to be useful again." Kawake said in guilt. "Listen, those people are safe and we could really use some help right now!" Kitt struggled. "Word Paynn and the Shadow Booster have tricked a lot more people than just you. We need you, Rumbull and your Dig-Hammer now!" Artha exclaimed. "I am paralyzed." Kawake said. "Listen to yourself. The only person you're judging now is yourself. We can't do this by ourselves." Derek said. "Yes. We need you. Even you know that. Walking is the only thing you can't do." Erika said. "That and Drag-Ball." Kawake said. "Exactly. Drag-Ball is when the parts of the team come together as one." Artha said. Suddenly, one of the parts of the brace broke off and was about to crush the Boosters. "NO!" Artha cried.
Suddenly, just when the Boosters were inches from being crushed, something grabbed the piece. The Boosters turned to see that Kawake caught the piece. "Kawake!" The Boosters cried in relief and happiness. Using all his strength, Kawake tossed the piece aside and assisted the Boosters with the brace. Using his Trenching Gear, Rumbull helped too. Together, the Boosters, Kawake and their Dragons managed to push the brace back into place. "Just like Drag-Ball. Your strength." Artha started. "And your speed. Now we have to seal that crack." Kawake said. "How? Any one of us moves, this brace will start collapsing again." Kurt said. "Mind if I lend a hand?" Benny's voice asked. Everyone turned to see him and Longma shoot out of the chasm, riding on a stream of water. "A Water Booster!" Kawake said in surprise. "Is that?" Erika asked. "Benny." Artha whispered. "Toss me up the Dig-Hammer and I'll handle the rest." Benny said. Kawake magged his Dig-Hammer and tossed it to Benny. Longma magged Benny over to the crack, and using the Dig-Hammer, he sealed the crack and the Black Draconium in an amber casing. The Boosters and Kawake gathered around as they stared at what they accomplished. "Not bad. Not bad at all." Kawake said. "Word Paynn's not gonna be too happy about this. Or with you." Artha said. "He should be more worried that the Will of the Dragon crew will not be happy with him. I wanna thank you, Boosters." Kawake said. "It's not us you should be thanking. We're the ones who should be thanking you." Benny said. "I do not understand." Kawake said. The Boosters nodded and took of their helmets, revealing their identities. "I don't believe it." Kawake said in shock. "Believe it. Mom and Dad weren't the only good people in this family." Artha said. "Speaking of which, how are we gonna get Dad, Moordryd, Cain and our siblings out of that chasm?" Erika asked. "Oh, I have an idea for that." Benny said.
Later, Benny used his new water powers to flood the entire chasm with water, floating the rest of the team back up. "Good work, all of you." Connor said. "You saved the city." Parmon said. "I owe it all to Artha and the Boosters. Without them, I never would've stopped judging myself." Kawake said. "Well, we had a great coach." Benny said. "But still, I feel ashamed that I caused all this. All because I desired to walk again." Kawake said with sadness. "I think I can help you with that." Artha said. As Rumbull magged Kawake into his wheelchair, Artha walked up to him, placed his hand on his knees and started to glow. The team stared as Artha's powers healed Kawake. As the glow died down, Kawake looked at his legs and…lifted his right leg. "My…my legs. I…I can move them!" He said in shock. He slowly stood up from his wheelchair and took his first steps in years. "I can walk again! How did you do this?" He asked. "One of my many powers that comes with being the host to the Great Dragon Phoenix." Artha said. "Did wonders for my leg too." Derek said, gesturing to his leg. "And now you can go back to playing Drag-Ball. If you want to continue coaching as well." Artha said. "Perhaps. Coaching while playing just might work out. Thank you, Artha. If you ever need help, the Will of the Dragon crew are always ready." Kawake said. "Glad to hear it, Kawake." Artha said, shaking Kawake's hand. "Then I suppose you'll want this back." Benny said, holding out Kawake's Dig-Hammer. "Nah. You kids keep it. I've got plenty back at the compound. And who knows. It might come in handy for you." Kawake said.
"Well, it's a good thing that everything's all worked out." Kitt said. "Well, mostly worked out." Fallon said. "What do you mean?" Erika asked. "We uncovered more than just my new gauntlet and key down in that chasm." Benny said. "We found another Gloomix relic down there too." Lance said. "We were about to grab it, but the Shadow Booster showed up and took it." Cain said. "So, now the Gloomix Clan have 2 of their relics now. That's not good." Kurt said. "If they find the remaining 3, then all of Dragon City will face the darkness sealed away." Artha said.
Meanwhile, the Shadow Booster returned to the Gloomix Clan and presented the second relic to the Queen. "The second relic is all yours, my Queen." She said. The Queen took the relic with pleasure. "Excellent. Soon, we will have all 5 relics and we will soon open the door and fulfill our master's glory." She said, cackling.
Oh, man! Wasn't that amazing?! Artha and Benny have entered a Drag-Ball tournament, coached and refereed by Kawake of the Will of the Dragon, an old friend of their parents. But after they won the match, Kawake felt sad in his current condition. So, upon receiving a fake map from the Shadow Booster, he attempted to dig into a support brace and unveiled Black Draconium. The Boosters, now joined by Benny as the Water Booster, they managed to seal the crack and stabilize the support brace. And with the help of Qoidhur, Artha grants Kawake his legs back. But now, the Shadow Booster has delivered the second Gloomix relic to her Queen. What dangers will the Boosters encounter next? Will the Gloomix Clan find their remaining relics and fulfill their master's glory? Leave a review of you want.
