"These are a few of my favorite things," Adrien sang along to the radio as he pulled a tray of cookies out of the oven. Well, maybe singing wasn't the right word. More like warbling.
"Your one of my favorite things," Marinette said, as she came into the back kitchen holding a selection of piping bags full of frosting. "Aw, that's sweet, love, thanks," Adrien kissed her on the cheek. "But singing isn't on the list," she giggled. Adrien laughed too. "I may have to take back that kiss." "Hey, your good at other things. Now, Papa sent me to have you frost the cookies for we need more out in the display case."
Adrien gulped. "I'm not an artist like you, I'll just mess it up. It will look like something out of a Christmas horror movie." Marinette blinked. "Those exist?" "Trust me." "You'll do fine. You just need some confidence, and a apron."
Marinette grabbed one, and Adrien pulled it over his head, reading the caption with a grin. "Here comes Santa Claws" was scrawled across the front, followed by a black cat face. "Was yours truly inspiration for the design?" "Oh, come on. Last time you got the zooms, you nearly tore open some presents with your claws."
"If your looking to give me confidence, you should give me kisses," Adrien's eyes sparkled. "Your a conniving fur ball, but I think I can spare a few." "Thanks, Princess."
"But it has to look good." she waggled a finger beneath his nose, and Adrien gulped. "Oh, the pressure."
He hummed a Christmas song under his breath as he slowly worked, under Marinette's watchful eye. Okay, this wasn't so hard. As long as he didn't get distracted. "Looking good, babe," she told him.
"Okay, you did good, so here's a peppermint kiss," she said, kissing his cheek. "Now, what to help me at the front counter?" Adrien leaped at the opportunity, helping up front was way easier then frosting cookies.
Plus, Marinette's pigtail was very shiny right now, and it could use a swipe. "Lead the way, and I'll follow with the cookies."
