[Mallow Tea Ceremony]
"YUPPIIIIEEE!"
Gregory laughs in joy as him and Bubblegum jump up and down, up and down, up and down.
Bubblegum – Yep. I knew you'd like it, Mallow Tea Ceremony is just the thing for fun.
Bubblegum was doing so while sitting in a chair. It was hard for starters to do it just by themselves let alone with any furniture. It takes years to master. She was convinced of that even now watching Marceline.
Marceline – Speak for yourself! OOF!
Bubblegum dared her to try bouncing without floating... and she's doing now as good as LSP did a while back. And again ended up with her face in the dirt and hot tea falling in her hair.
Marceline – Yikes , and here I wondered why they find it hard to balance.
She's lucky it was night currently, else she'd rusk falling into sunlight.
Gregory seems to be loving it.
Marceline floats up to them
Bubblegum – Either bouncing here or grounding room.
Marceline – Bonnie, he is a kid. He didn't know if that would happen.
Bubblegum – And now we have demons roaming in OOO. Don't worry, I'm not mad but this is just for discipline.
Marceline thinks 'Not to self, remind her he isn't a soldier age'
Marceline may not guess but Bubblegum herself realised how her words sounded like...
While they kept bouncing, she looked back at excited Gregory who held onto her.
So fragile... so vulnerable...
So confident perhaps that she won't let anything harm him...
At that, Bubblegum felt a tinge of guilt somewhere in her gut.
Bubblegum – Actually... I just missed this ceremony. It's one of my personal ways to relax. I wanted to show him so that he may one day need it. Who knows what ever stress he'll get from OOO... maybe even me...
Her tone changed this time, it didn't sound disciplinary... it was soft this time.
Marceline could guess why...
Marceline – Hey it's okay. Old habits die hard. You're still got ways to go.
Bubblegum – And it looks like I am a slow learner here like Finn.
It wasn't new that she'd think about her feelings, it's just she usually puts them away...
This time it's the other way around when she lost focus and abruptly lost her balance.
She then fell off from the chair gasping as Gregory flied out of her grasp.
Gregory joyfully flies in the air before Marceline catches him in her arms.
Marceline – Phew I think it's enough bouncing for ya today. You should first learn how to walk without stumbling.
'Strange he can paint already... then again I could too'
She then looks at where Bubblegum landed.
Marceline floats down to her
Marceline – Weeel, how is it there Bonnibel?
Bubblegum first pulled her head out of the bushes before brushing off the minor injuries.
Bubblegum – It's been educational thank you. Glad you got him.
Marceline laughed sarcastically but not wanting her to reverting to her gloomy self, she changed the subject.
Marceline – When was the last time you had this tea bounce party?
Bubblegum – Eh a short while ago. 3 or 4 years ago when Jake nearly got lumpy after LSP bit his leg.
Marceline chuckled at the thought. Jake being like LSP? Now that would be funny.
Marceline – Oooh~ Jake and LSP? Didn't know they were approaching thing~
Bubblegum quickly covers Gregory's ears
Bubblegum – Marceline, I love you but don't you think that's inappropriate?
"Momceline!"
The two pause at his words, he's slowly learning how to talk.
Although at the moment he could only say one or two words.
"Bubble Mom! Mom Celine!"
He was having playing with Marceline's hair , she didn't mind. It was quite long really.
Bubblegum – You know, I think it's good we didn't dye your hair in yellow. Your current hair just fits you more.
Marceline double flushed from both her wife's remark as well as her son playing her hair.
Marceline – Okay okay I get it. So she bit him. I gotta ask her later at promcoming event.
Bubblegum – Yeah, I really couldn't go with them since after drinking too much.
Marceline giggled at that.
Bubblegum - Drink 9 liters of compote and see how you handle it.
Marceline – Whatever you say Bubble mom~
Gregory – Bubble Mama! Wa wa wa wa!

[At Fern Tree]
"Hm? It sounded like someone was laughing... then again maybe I'm just remembering something"
Finn was at loss for a while now, unsure why.
After getting his house built, Finn finally had his own haven with his mom and friends visiting regularly...
He was supposed to feel better now... but once again something's off...
He's currently sitting on a hill near the old tree house, now destroyed... with his alternate bro-like self now resting in it's place for a new tree... sun was making sure it stays lively.
He sometimes sat there watching the open world around him... supercontinent of OOO that he saved numerously though now risky adventures seem to be rare unless the recent Nightosphere flop counts so maybe he'll be wrong.
Being there, letting his mind sort itself out, helped him collect himself.
Like it does with Jake sometimes.
Speaking of his bro, Jake seemingly also decided to come by the hillside.
"Hey Finn, whatcha doin' out here all melancholic?"
Finn – Oh hi Jake, just thinking about life and stuff.
Jake sits next to him, open to hear.
Jake – You wanna talk about it?
Finn – Will it help?
Jake – Much better than let it easy ya from inside!
Finn agreed before speaking up
Finn – I've made a lot of mistakes, Jake. But in the end, I've always tried to help those in need. I tried to make OOO a sage place. After the war with Gumbald... And Golb nearly donking us up, it looks like everyone can live peacefully at last... and I'm happy about it but at same time, it makes me question...
The new conundrum in his mind
Finn – Who am I now, Jake?
Jake stretched his hand to bring Finn close to him at eye level.
Jake – Well then listen carefully, because I don't wanna having to repeat it ever again. You are one of the biggest heroes in the history of OOO. Almost every person, NO, almost every kingdom is in debt with you. You fought hard and busted yourself to make sure what we have was possible.
Finn looks at his robo hand after hearing that last part.
Jake – So I don't want to hear that stuff again. EVER! Of course you made mistakes along the way, you were young and stupid, but look at yourself now Finn! All you've done at your age, imagine every habadaba you can still do in years to come. Perhaps even next month heheh you get it? You are still starting baby bro!
Jake then morphed into a horse with Finn on his back in surprise
Finn – WOAH!
Jake – So this is what you're going to do, you're gonna clear your mind, visit places, enjoy yourself, and get your oves!
Then his legs stretched out going higher.
Jake – And once all loose ends are tied up... We'll go on adventures with nothing to worry about like we used to, how does that sound?
Finn – Wow, that... that... actually sounds nice.
Jake – Damn right it does!
Finn knew many wise people throughout his life , his bro was most influential of them that is alive. He didn't know if he'd be here without him. If Jake believes in him, then so will he.
Finn – ALRIGHT! There are things I need to do and places to be! May take me a bit, though. You mind?
Jake – As long as you need, bro. As long as you need...
Jake starts moving on his fours while Finn is choosing where to go.
Maybe Ice kingdom? Just to make sure Gunther isn't out kidnaping anyone. Also to check out Snow Golem, the big guy still seems scared of him after all this time even though he befriended a deadly fire wolf, so he'd like to try forming a better relationship.
Or fire kingdom? To see how Phoebe is doing with her free style rapping with Nectar.
Or go visit LSP? He heard she's a queen now, he'd wonder if she's doing okay.
Quite many options, so much of them he feels like he's already on an adventure. His inner self didn't dislike the notion though.
It was almost evening though, it's gonna get dark soon. Should've had that inspiration a bit sooner... but thinking about it, maybe he should visit Marceline.
And then he remembered about a newest inhabitant of OOO she now has under her care.
Jake – Oh have you thought of something?
Finn – Jake, march to the Candy Kingdom... I wanna see that little bud. Properly this time.
Jake – Oouh I get it, a senior adventurer meeting the potential junior one! Hold on tight to your pants!
Save game... and quit!
My dear readers, sorry if this fic takes a bit long. I'm seeking to rematch AT series again to get some more structure here. So don't be surprised if I'm a bit slow like a Lich snail.
