Sora pov.

It was only one more day till winter break and Xion and I never stopped fighting al the weeks until now and I was getting tired about it. I did like her but the fights were getting really out of hand. Xion grew more jealous at everything and it was even getting to the point that she thought I had feelings for Kairi.

I walked to my lockers and I saw a familiar redhead that was causing the trouble I was having with my girlfriend. Not even knowing that the fights were about her. She closed her locker and turned around meeting my eyes. She looked at me for a second before she rushed over to I assume our friends.

I rolled my eyes at her and I opened my locker. I placed my bag inside and rested my head against the cold metal. What was happening to me? I didn't really hate her but I didn't like her either. All she did was driving me crazy.

Kairi pov.

I grabbed my bowl with cereals and sat next to Riku. "Good morning." I said and stuffed my mouth full. Today was the last day and we would be off for two weeks straight. "moring." They all said and I smiled. No one really went home for the days so I would be spending my time with them and even christmas! I was so exciting for it. "Hey." I heard and watched as Sora sat down but this time without Xion. "Hey dude." Roxas said. "Huh, where is Xion?" Namine asked and he shrugged his shoulders. "Being mad at me again." He said while popping some eggs in his mouth. "Sora i really want you to have a girlfriend but this is getting out of hands." Riku said waving his spoon at his friend. "I know, I know. I just don't know what I can do with it anymore. Later today we will go back home so we can spend time with our families but I'm not even feeling like spending time with her anymore." He really looked sad and Roxas patted his back. "Just talk about it dude. She will get it." "I tried talking but every time I talk she will start crying and telling me we should break up and not even five minutes later she is kissing me like our lives depends on it." He said slamming his hands over his face. "Well I will talk to her later today once I see her again." He said.

We all sat in silence eating our breakfast when I saw Xion walking over to us with the biggest smile on her face. "Hello everyone." She said plopping down next to Sora and giving him a kiss. "Why do you look all so sad! It's the best day of the year." She said and I rolled my eyes. How in the world could she be this happy while Sora was so sad just a minute ago.

I needed to admit even that Sora was being mean I started to grow a small crush on him and I hated myself for liking him. He hadn't do anything nice to me since we started school but he managed to get me crushing a bit over him. "Well Xion can we talk for a moment?" Sora asked her and her eyes grew a little bigger but her smile stayed on her face. "Sure." They both stood up and walked away leaving their food at the table.

"Well I hope Sora does what is best for him because he is really becoming a different person and I don't like it at all." Riku said and Roxas nodded. "Yea, he would be so joyful and kind to everyone but since he and Xion started dating he changed and I want my old friend back." Roxas said. "We will see what will happen i guess." Namine added.

The cold winter weather was not fun at all and my hoodie wasn't really keeping me warm. I walked around campus thinking about what my friends said. I wish i knew how Sora was before he dated Xion because he sounded a lot funnier. "Hey Kairi!" I turned around and I saw Tidus waving at me. "Hey Tidus, how are you?" I said and he smiled. "Good, Almost done packing so I can go home." I smiled at him. "Are you going home or are you staying here?" He asked. "I'm staying here, I don't have a reason to go home." I said and his smile disappeared for a moment. "Well I do hope you have a lot of fun here." He asked and I nodded. "Yea I met some really nice people and I love being friends with them." I smiled big at the thought of Namine and the others and he patted my back. "Well i'm proud you made such good friends." I nodded happily. "Maybe if you like we can meet with our friends later today and have fun at the big campfire they are doing." He asked and I tilled my head. "Big campfire?" "Yes, every year they make a big campfire and you can drink hot chocolate and roast some marshmallows as a end of the school year thing." Tidus said. "hmm that sounds very nice I can ask them if they want to do that." His smile grew bigger and he hugged me. "Nice! Here add my number so you can let me know if they want to join or else maybe we can still meet up and I will introduce you to mine." He said grabbing his phone. I typed my number and he smiled. "Well hopefully they will come or we will have a good time on our own." He said winking and I felt a small blush growing on my cheeks. "Well I have to go for now, see you later." He said and walked off. "Bye for now." I said waving goodbye and i turned around so i could go back to my dorm.

I walked to Riku's room first so I could ask him. Namine had texted me if Roxas and she could have some alone time and being the good friend i am I didn't want to bother them. I knocked on the door and waited for the silver boy to open the door but to my surprise it was Sora that opened the door. His eyes were all red and he wiped his face. "Riku is not here." He said his voice heavy from crying. "Are you okay?" I asked without thinking and I started to play with my hands. "Do I look okay to you?" He said now getting mad. "S-Sorry." I stammered and he rolled his eyes. "Can you just leave and text Riku if you want to have some adventure with him and stop bothering me." He slammed the door before I could even say something and I felt my blood boil. I get it that he had a bad day but he could at least be a little nicer i thought and grabbed my phone. I wrote a text to Riku, Roxas and Namine and waited for them to answer. For now I could go to the library and go read a book or something to kill some time. I didn't have any classes for 3 more hours so best I could do was wait the time out.

I sat in class when I received a text back from Riku. 'of course will I join you to the campfire ;)' I rolled my eyes in a playful way and put my phone away. Hayner tapped my shoulder and I turned my head toward him. "Are you going home for the holidays?" He asked and I blinked a few times. "No i'm staying here, why?" I asked and I saw a smile on his face. "Great so are you going to the campfire? I heard it will be epic!" He whispered yelled and I giggled a little. The guy that was so mean to me on his first school day was now the most sweetest person I knew in my classroom beside Olette. "Yea i'm going with Roxas and the others I said and he smiled even widder. "Great! I can't wait to see you and I can spend more time with Olette without making a fool of myself, I hope." He added and I patted his back. "I'm sure you both will be fine." He smiled at me again and I went back to my papers trying to focus on the teacher that was talking.

"Kairi!" I heard a familiar voice and I met eyes with Namine rushing down the hall towards me. It was time for dinner and Namine and Roxas had their day off so they had fun all day in our room. I had a smirk on my face and Namine tilted her head a little. "What?" She said and my smile grew bigger. "So how did Roxas like the new stuff?" I ask her and her face went red in a second. "NO, No,no we are not gonna talk about this." she said walking away from me. I closed my locker and followed her. "Namine! You started this." I yelled and ran after her. Our laughter filled the halls and we both ran to the rest of our friends. I was still yelling at her in a playful way and every time I did she laughed a little louder. She ran right in Roxas his arms and she couldn't stop laughing. "Roxas help me, Kairi is being mean." She said with a playful pout. "She won't tell me how you liked the outfit she got you the other day." I said still holding my belly from laughing. Roxas face changed from confused to a flirty grin and he eyed Namine up and down. "It was very nice." He said while kissing her on the cheek." Roxas how could you!" She said and let go of him. We all laughed and grabbed some food.

"Hello guys, are you all ready?" Riku sat next to me with some pasta and I took a bite from his food. "Hey, no stealing young lady." He said while taking some fries from mine plate. Riku and I became really good friends but I'm still awkward when i'm around him. Riku being the flirty guy he can be is still joking about what happened even when it was already two months ago. I started to get use to it and I was happy I could laugh about it now and then. "Yes, i'm craving hot cocoa all morning already." I said and he held his hand up so I could high five him. "Yea, and marshmallows sound good too." Namine added. We all agreed with her. We were having a good time but the mood changed when Sora plopped down next to me ignoring us all. "Well hello to you too." Riku said and Sora gave him a dirty look. "Dude come on. It's not the end of the world." Riku added and Sora took a bite of his food still ignoring his friend. "Well have it your way." Riku went back to eating and Namines eyes went from the silver boy to the burnette. Not saying anything but she still looked worried. "I assumed you're staying on campus this year?" Roxas ask and Sora nodded. "Well we will try to cheer you up, and break ups are never fun." He added and my eyes wided a little. Sora and Xion broke up? So that's why he was crying earlier today. I turned my head towards him but he was focused on his food trying to avoid us all. Maybe he will be a little nicer now? I don't know why and I should feel sorry for them that they broke up but my heart started to pound a little faster at the thoughts that Sora was single.

I really wanted to meet the old Sora before he went all baddy and moody all the time.
