So...With the fact that Proteus has intelligent mutant dogs in their service, initally Dr. Noble was too ditracted by discovering the three rogues had been up to something to suspect there was another party to worry about, but now she's had the Bad Boys sniff the premise and they've discovered the scent of the Turtles and Vanessa (Who I imagine smells like a combination of spider and human) and followed the scent to the drain, where I imagine they could follow no further because the the sewer water dispersed the scent, also they know that's where Jonathan and Edward went and they probobly also discovered the hormone drenched clothes and that two Speedos are missing but at the moment that's the least of their concerns.
It was at about 2 PM when Vanessa and Don were startled out of their sleep by the sound of Mikey yelling "TURN ON THE TV NOW!"
"Mikey!" Don rubbed his earholes "What the shell..."
"There's no time to explain..." Mikey said as he quickly grabbed the remote, I was listening to my radio when I got the breaking news...He turned on the stack of TVs the others came out of their sleeping spaces as quickly as they could.
"Is this the beginning of another mutant outbreak?" Said the news anchor "Two nights ago, local teen Vanessa Black went missing, witnesses report they saw someone who might have matched her description but her face had some bizarre features her skin seemed jet black, fangs seemed to be growing out of her mouth, and perhaps most disturbing she had multiple yellow eyes..."
Vanessa suddenly felt very cold, and venom began to dribble out of her mouth from anxiety...
"Last night," Said the Anchor "Proteus Headquarters was broken into what they claim were mutants, Mutant Turtles and what seemed like a combination of human and spider..."
"How?" Leo began to say
"Proteus has mutant dogs..." Edward said quickly remembering "...Unless you ninjas have a way to disguise your scent they probobly were able to pick up the trail..."
"Oh...Shell..." Leo said as he began to sweat
"Similar to the sewer worker who got mutated into a cockroach/human hybrid during the last mutation outbreak..." Said the Anchor "...Has Vanessa black been transformed into a mutant spider? Or has Vanessa truly disappeared and has been replaced by a mutant doppleganger? We'll have more on this story as it develops..."
"Shell..." Don said as he rubbed the back of his head "...They have their own mutants, Mutants who can track by scent...Well fortunatly if I know the limits of a dog's tracking ability they couldn't have been able to pick up our trail once we returned to the sewers...Similar to how foes will use water to throw off hounds..."
"Perhaps..." Jonathan said "..But the fact Proteus allowed this story to leek to the press, this is clearly a shot across the bow, Dr. Noble is trying to let us know she's onto us...And perhaps she is trying to flush us out simply by racking our nerves, don't forget if she has your scent she now knows you took us with you..."
"Shell..." Raph grunted "That probobly means they'll be searching the sewers just like the Foot did all those years ago..."
Vanessa felt she was about to cry...
"What should we do?" Don asked
Splinter sighed "We do not know how much time we have and time is of the essence..."
"Perhaps we can be of service," Jonathan said "If we can get some concealing clothes we may be able to get some things from the surface to help even of odds..."
So I just really liked how in this story I really showed the transformed human being inconvienced by her new mutant body instead of typical 'OMG I'm a freak! Everyone will hate me! WAAAH!' Her new size and shape causes massive inconvience and this time she's not a typical 'Disney Cartoon Animal' like most of my Anthro Characters I really like she's more genuinely grotesque and while she could be considered kind of cute, she's the kind of creepy cute of a character in a Tim Burton movie
