Episode 126: Hatching a Plan
One night, Mew and her friends are camping under the stars and moon as they continue their journey to Mahogany Town. It's been a long and eventful road from Olivine City to Mahogany Town. As the group are sitting by the fire, Mew's bag begins to glow. Everyone turns to see the glow.
"What's going on?" Tomo asks.
Jen notices, "There's a light coming out of my backpack!"
Mew then takes the blue egg from her bag.
"It's your egg that's glowing," Misty says.
"It's going to hatch," Brock says.
"What do we do?" Molly asks.
"Just do what I always do, remain calm, and watch the Egg until it hatches," Mew says.
"Hey Mew, we're finally going to see what's inside of it. I bet it'll be cute like our Togepi," Misty says.
Misty's Togepi says, "Tokipree!" (It could be.)
Even little Faye walks over to see the Egg.
"I just want it to be healthy, and get along great with all the other Pokémon," Mew says. Then turns to the others, "Right everyone?"
The Pokemon nod their heads in agreement.
"Whatever it is, this is so exciting!" Brock says.
"Well, I just want it to hurry up and hatch," Misty says.
"Me too!" Molly says.
As the group talks, Team Rocket stalks.
"Now I may be looking on sunny side, but I'm convinced that egg will produce a very valuable Pokémon," James says.
"Judging from the way it's glowing, I agree, so if we're gonna try stealing it again, let's scramble," Meowth says.
"We're not gonna fail this time, Meowth, cause I've cooked up one incredible, edible plan," Jessie says.
Then the three chuckle in reply.
Mew and the others watch over the egg until daylight as the egg glows completely. Soon, the egg morphs into a cute little elephant like Pokemon. It has large, floppy ears, which it uses as fans to cool itself. There are two red pads on each ear and another on the bridge of its short trunk. It has a single nail on each of its four feet, and a short tail.
The little Pokemon wiggles its ears, opens its eyes, and happily says, "Phanpy."
"Alright, it's finally here!" Tomo says.
Sparkle says, "Pikachu!" (It's so cute!)
"It sure is," Mew says, "It's a Phanpy."
Mew takes out her Pokedex and Dexter says, "Phanpy, the Long Nose Pokémon. A Ground Type. Phanpy uses its powerful snout to express affection, not realizing its strength can send you flying."
"I knew it. It's so cute, and look at those ears, they're adorable," Misty says.
"Its skin has a nice sheen, too. That means it's really healthy," Brock says.
Mew smiles and gently rubs Phanpy's head, "Hi Phanpy, it's nice to meet you."
Mew then takes the Pokeball off the case and enlarges it with a button.
"Alright Phanpy, it's time to get you in the Pokeball," Mew says.
But when Mew tries to call him in, Phanpy avoids the capture beam.
"Huh?" Mew says, confused.
Mew tries again, but Phanpy dodges again. Phanpy happily flaps its ears.
Mew simply smiles and places the ball down.
She spreads her arms out and says, "Come here Phanpy. Come here."
Phanpy happily runs to Mew's arms, allowing her to hold him.
"Well, he listened to that idea," Tomo says.
"I wonder why it doesn't want to come in the Pokeball?" Molly replies.
"That's because it's not trained to recognize your commands, it just thinks you're playing," Brock says.
"I think you're right. For now, I think we should give Phanpy something to eat," Mew says.
Mew places Phanpy on her lap and reaches into her backpack, "I know I have some Pokemon food somewhere."
Soon, Mew is able to grab a handful of food and holds it out, "Here, Phanpy. I have a special treat here. I think you're gonna like it."
"Pika Pika," (It's real tasty.) Pikachu says.
"Eevee Vee," (You'll like it.) Eevee says.
Phanpy catches the scent.
"Yeah, that's it. Don't be shy, just go ahead and take a bite" Mew says.
Phanpy continues to sniff.
"Well, that worked," Misty says.
Suddenly, Team Rocket makes their move, disguised as giant eggs
Jessie:
Prepare for trouble from inside of a shell!
James:
And make it double, it's starting to smell!
That startles everyone to see the giant eggs.
Jessie:
To protect the world from devastation.
James:
To unite all peoples within our nation.
Jessie (Coming out the egg):
To denounce the evils of truth and love.
James (Coming out of the egg):
To extend our reach to the stars above.
Jessie:
Jessie.
James:

Jessie:
Team Rocket. blast off at the speed of light!
James:
Surrender now, or prepare to fight, fight, fight!
Meowth pops out of his own egg.
Meowth:
EGGSTREMELY RIGHT!
Wobbuffet:
WOBUFFET! (Egg-sactly!)
"It's Team Rocket!" Tomo says.
"Pi Pikachu!" (Not you again!) Pikachu says.
"Eevee Eevee," (And they're dressed like Eggs.) Eevee replies dumbfounded.
"Right!" Jessie says and laughs, "We understand that the birth of a new Pokémon is a very special time."
"So you can just hand over the little newborn and we'll be on our way," James says.
Mew then picks up Phanpy and holds him in her arms, "Forget it, you creeps! Phanpy is my baby, so get lost!"
"Pika Pika!" (You heard her!) Pikachu says.
"Eevee!" (So beat it!) Eevee adds.
"I see, so you're the trainer," Jessie says.
"Seems to me if you were a real trainer, it would obey you, but you can't even get it into a Pokéball," James says.
"Phanpy is still little, he doesn't know much yet," Mew says.
"Meowth, give our friend here a hand," Jessie says.
"Roger," Meowth says, and pulls out a mechanical hand, "Dis calls for a little so-fist-ication."
"Knock it off, Team Rocket!" Mew says, holding Phanpy in her arms.
Then turns to Pikachu and Eevee, "Pikachu, Eevee, let em have it with a Thunderbolt!"
Pikachu and Eevee charges up, but Meowth launches the hand towards Phanpy. Mew quickly places Phanpy down as she allows the hand to grab her. Pikachu and Eevee launch their attack, but end up causing harm to Mew, frightening Phanpy. He sees the struggles on Mew's face as she uses herself as a shield to protect Phanpy.
Pikachu and Eevee cry out, "Mew!)
"That steel arm drew the current straight to Mew!" Brock cries out.
"Oh no!" Misty cries out.
"She's getting hurt," Tomo says.
"But she's making her Phanpy is safe," Jen says.
The arm ultimately explodes, sending Team Rocket flying.
"Why does this always happen to us?!" Jessie cries out.
"How about next time, instead of improvising, we try to come up with a plan?" James says.
"A plan would be nice," Meowth says.
Team Rocket cries out, "Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!"
Everyone rushes to check on Mew.
"Mew, are you okay?" Misty asks.
"I'm okay," Mew says.
Pikachu and Eevee lower their heads, feeling ashamed.
"Hey now, don't be sad. I know you two didn't mean for it to happen," Mew says.
Suddenly, she hears a voice, "Phanpy Phan…" (Mama got hurt.)
The group turns to see Phanpy approaching Mew, but slowly walks back. What's more, he has a scared and sad expression on his face.
"Hey Phanpy, are you okay?" Mew asks.
Pikachu and Eevee try to approach Phanpy, but he becomes startled. He then looks at Mew with a smile.
Phanpy says, "Phanpy Phanpy Pan." (Phanpy doesn't want mama hurt.) and then runs away.
"Phanpy, wait!" Mew calls out and chases after him.
Mew continues to call out, "It's okay, Phanpy. I'm alright. Pikachu and Eevee didn't mean to zap me. Please come out. It was an accident."
"Phanpy must be really shaken up by what he saw," Mew says.
"Well, it's only a few minutes or an hour old, and new Pokemon are very trusting. And when Phanpy saw Mew get shocked, it worried about Mew getting hurt again, so it decided to keep its distance," Brock says.
"Poor Phanpy," Mew says.
Pikachu and Eevee soon feel down about what happened.
"Hey guys, don't feel down. We're not blaming you. It's okay."
"If it wasn't for you and your Thunderbolt, Team Rocket would've stolen Phanpy," Misty says.
"Okay, Mew. The only way we're gonna find Phanpy soon, is if we all split up," Brock says.
"You're right," Mew says.
"Let's hurry before it gets much further," Misty says.
However, Pikachu and Eevee are still looking down.
Soon, Mew and the others begin their search for Phanpy.
"Phanpy?! Where are you hiding?!" Misty calls out.
Jen calls out, "Hey, Phanpy?!"
"Phanpy, where are you?!" Molly calls out.
"Phanpy?!" Brock calls out and drops some Pokémon food.
"Phanpy?! Come on back!" Tomo calls out.
Then Brock says, "I've got some very yummy Pokémon food for you! I know you're gonna like it, so come on out!"
Something rustles in the bushes behind Brock and Tomo.
"Hey! I knew that would get your attention," Brock says and reaches into the bushes, "Gotcha!"
However, it's revealed to only be Psyduck
"Psyduck!" Brock exclaims.
And Misty scolds Psyduck, "Psyduck, what are you doing?! That food's not for you, now get back in your ball!"
Psyduck just looks at her cluelessly
Misty sweat drops, "Why? Why me?"
Mew calls out, "Phanpy?! I hope you can hear me, cause I'm so sorry you got scared of what you say.
Pikachu calls out, "Pika! Pi ka! Pika! Pi ka!" (Phanpy?! Come out! I'm sorry!)
"Eevee Eevee!" (We didn't mean for it to happen!) Eevee says.
The two Pokemom come to a stop.
"What's the matter, guys?" Mew asks.
Then kneels down to her, "I think I know what's bothering you, but don't worry, none of this stuff is your fault. We're gonna find Phanpy, I promise. Come on, there are a few spots we haven't checked yet."
"Pikachu. (Let's do it.) Pikachu says.
"Eevee," (Right.) Eevee adds.
The group continues searching around.
Mew calls out, "Phanpy! Phanpy!
"Okay, Phanpy! You're around here somewhere!
Meanwhile, Phanpy is running around and feels sad about Mew ending up getting hurt. But it soon realizes its lost and hungry, however, a smell soon comes to it and Phanpy soon follows it straight to Team Rocket.
"I must admit, there are some days it just doesn't pay to be evil," Jessie says.
"Especially when you get paid in electric volts. You'd think that the lead twerp would think up some other, more original attacks," James says.
"Don't ask rye, but I'd like ta propose a toast, cause dere's nothing like food ta improve your mood. An' a little whole wheat just can't be beat," Meowth says.
However, before Meowth can take a bite, his toast is snatched by Phanpy and he bites his hand.
Meowth cries out in pain, "My toast is toast! Snatched right from my precious paw! Such thievery! It's abominable!"
"Don't be so dramatic, you're imagining things," Jessie says.
"She's right. There isn't anyone around here for miles," James says.
As Jessie and James talk, Phanpy takes their toast slices, too, and they also end up biting their hands.
"So I'm just imagining tings, huh? Well, I'm gonna get down ta da bottom of dis right now!" Meowth shouts.
They all soon notice Phanpy eating their toast
"Look. Isn't that the Phanpy we've been trying to steal?" James questions.
"It is, but I'm not sure if there's a reason to celebrate yet," Jessie says.
Meowth shouts, "Dat was mine! So keep your elongated snout out!"
And Phanpy soon starts smacking Meowth with its snout.
"What was dat for?!" Meowth cries out.
"Goodness," Jessie says, a little surprised, "That Phanpy's sizeable snout can surely pack a punch. Oh, James. Check the book to see what kinds of attacks it knows."
"Let's see," James says, looking at the book, "There's Tackle, Growl and Take Down. It says here, since Phanpy is a ground type, its very strong against electric attacks, except after it's first born."
"That certainly sparks my interest. So, how about this? We'll convince Phanpy to join forces with Team Rocket," Jessie says.
"Ah! And then, with our new, blue recruit, we can finally pull the plug on Pikachu power and lights!" James says.
Jessie and James try to entice Phanpy with food.
"Hey. Here, Phanpy. Phanpy." Jessie says.
"Look what we have for you, Phanpy," James says.
Phanpy watches, intrigued.
"Da new kid's cuttin' in on my action. I'll wag mah tail in silent protest," Meowth says.
Phanpy notices Meowth's tail wagging around and rubs it with its snout.
"Tanks, Phanpy. Dat feels pretty good, now just a little bit lower and to da left," Meowth says, feeling relaxed.
Jessie and James are baffled.
"Actually, Meowth, I think what it really wants is a bite out of your tail," Jessie says.
"Well, come to think of it, your tail always proved quite popular with that Snubbull," James says.
Phanpy continues to rub Meowth's tail.
Seeing how much Phanpy enjoys it, Jessie says, "Alright, Meowth, keep wagging! That tail of yours is going to help us to catch Phanpy!"
Meanwhile, the group regroups.
"Hey guys, did you find Phanpy?" Mew asks.
"Tomo and I looked everywhere, but no sign of it," Brock says.
"Sorry, but we didn't have any luck either," Misty says.
"Oh no. I know Phanpy got scared, but why has it been gone for so long?" Mew says, worrying and looks around.
"Pika." (Poor kid.) Pikachu says.
"Eevee," (Poor Phanpy.) Eevee adds.
Mew kneels down, ""We gotta look on the bright side of this, okay? Phanpy's young, but remember, it's really tough and knows a lot of attacks. We just need to stay together, stay calm, and keep looking. Let's do it!
But poor Pikachu and Eevee are feeling lower than ever.
"Pikachu," Misty says.
"Eevee," Jen adds.
"Yeah. They feeling pretty bad," Tomo says.
Suddenly, Team Rocket shows up.
Jessie says the motto, "Hello there, prepare for trouble!"
But James says, "Sorry Jess, but I'm afraid we've already been down that road."
"Ah, that's right, then let's cut to the chase!" Jessie says.
"Team Rocket, huh? I'm not really in the mood to play around with you guys right now," Mew says and brushes them off, "So why don't you just go away?"
"Well, well. That's awfully big talk from such a small twerp," Jessie says.
"And especially since we brought you such a nice present," James says.
Meowth and Phanpy step forward.
Pikachu and Eevee are shocked, (Phanpy!)
"Hey, look, it's Phanpy!" Misty says.
"Alright! You found your way back to us!" Brock says.
"Phanpy, you're okay," Mew says.
Phanpy is actually happy to see Mew, but seeing Pikachu and Eevee makes it wary.
Phanpy then says, "Phanpy Phan Phanpy Phan," (Hi mama, I met the Egg people from earlier.)
"Hey! We're not Egg People!" Meowth shouts.
Jen, Molly, and Tomo begin giggling to hear Phanpy calling Team Rocket Egg people.
Mew giggles, "I can see that, Phanpy. I'm glad you're okay. You had me worried when you ran off, but I'm glad you're safe." and begins to approach Phanpy.
But Jessie says, "Hold it. Didn't you read the memo?"
"Your friend, Phanpy, has accepted a full time position with Team Rocket," James says.
Dumbfounded, Mew says, "You're kidding right."
"Yeah! You're liars!" Jen adds
"You'll never get away with it!" Misty says.
"Besides, Phanpy belongs to Mew, so it's not gonna listen to any of your commands!" Brock says.
"I wouldn't be so sure," Jessie says. Then turns to Mew, "Ready for a demonstration?"
"You bet," Meowth says, and approaches Pikachu and Eevee on all fours with a Phanpy face painted on his rear) Okay, now check dis out," And wags his tail, "Yoo-hoo, Phanpy."
Phanpy happily runs forward, Meowth moves at the last minute, and Phanpy accidentally runs into Pikachu and Eevee giving James an opening.
"Here goes," James says.
Using another mechanical arm, James nabs Pikachu and Eevee.
"Pikachu! Eevee!" Mew calls out.
"It worked!" Jessie says.
"I'd say we've got the gift of grab!" James says.
"Oh no!" Molly says.
"Phanpy must think this is a game!" Mew says.
"I think you're right. Phanpy doesn't know any better. It just thinks it's playing around with a friend," Mew says.
"But now we've gotta rescue Pikachu and Eevee," Brock says.
"Alright, Pikachu, Eevee, give em a Thunderbolt!" Mew calls out.
Pikachu and Eevee attack, but Team Rocket feels nothing.
"I've got shocking news," James says.
"Our new, insulated shock ware is Pikachu and Eevee proof," Jessie says.
"Now, go, Weezing!" James says, and throws his Pokeball.
Weezing is let out of the Pokeball.
James calls out, "Okay, Weezing, Smokescreen, now!"
Weezing launches the attack, blinding everyone.
"Smokescreen, always good," James says.
"Excellent choice, my dear James. I couldn't have done it better myself," Jessie says.
Both of them share a chuckle.
When the Smokescreen clears up, Mew and the others realize that Team Rocket is gone.
"Hey! They're gone! Team Rocket got away!" Mew says, and calls out, "Pikachu! Eevee! Phanpy!"
Deeper in the woods, Team Rocket is abuzz with their latest plot succeeding.
"I can't believe we actually pulled it off," James says.
"Yeah, it was only a matter of time until our smarts caught up with us," Jessie says.
I know if we slowed down enough, we'd get smarter," Meowth says.
Team Rocket cheers, "A toast, to trouble!"
The threesome celebrate with champagne glasses full of milk.
"Milk, to celebrate our new cash cows," Jessie says.
"You said it, Jessie. The feeling is udderly delightful, "James says.
Then Meowth says, "And da boss will be happy because we're bringin' him da cream of da crop."
"Wobb-uffet." (Oh, so true.) Wobbuffet says.
Phanpy flaps its ears again.
"I'd just love ta pour ya a glass, Phanpy," Meowth says.
"But, we can't. Sharing is not one of our good points," Jessie says.
Then James picks up Phanpy, "None for you, but you can watch from inside your cage."
James proceeds to put Phanpy in said cage, breaking the little one's heart until Pikachu and Eevee comfort him. Then Pikachu points to the steep hill behind them as their method to escape. The three ram into the wall of the cage and send it tumbling down the hill before it hits a tree and shatters, catching Team Rocket's attention
"Hey, did you just hear something?" Jessie asks
They soon notice the cage is gone.
"Look! The cage is gone!" James says, shocked.
Meowth looks down, "An' dat's not all!"
It's revealed that Pikachu, Eevee, and Phanpy are making their escape.
"Dey're makin' a run fer it!" Meowth cries out.
"What are you saying?!" Jessie exclaims.
"Oh, that they're making a run for it," James says.
Jessie turns to James, "Yeah, I heard that."
You asked!" James says.
And Wobbuffet says, "Wobbuffet!" (There they go!)
The three continue to make a run for it as Phanpy holds on to Pikachu's tail. Soon, Team Rocket is in pursuit in their Hot Air Balloon."
Meowth calls out, "Ya can run, but ya can't hide!"
"Those ingrates! Stealing away from us after we spent so much time stealing them away!" Jessie shouts.
"Yeah! Just try to say that tongue twister!" James shouts.
"Wobbuffet!" (But I can't!) Wobbuffet says.
Soon, the three come into a river with rushing current.
Meanwhile, Mew and the others are searching around, until they spot Team Rocket's balloon.
"Look!" Jen calls out.
"It's Team Rocket's balloon!" Brock says.
"Let's follow it and see where it goes," Misty says.
"Right! Let's go!" Mew says.
Then the gang makes a run to their location.
Mew says in thought, "Don't worry, you two. I'm coming to get you, and there's not Team Rocket can do to stop me!"
Back at the river…
Jessie calls out, "Pikachu, I see you!"
"And I see you too, Eevee," Meowth says.
And James says, "And Phanpy, too!"
Pikachu leaps onto a rock.
Pikachu calls out. "Pika Pika!" (Come on, Phanpy!)
But Phanpy looks too scared to cross. Eevee stays behind to comfort him.
"Pikachu! Pika Pika!" (You should jump! You can do it!) Pikachu says.
"Phanpy Phan," (What if I fall in?) Phanpy asks, worried.
"Eevee Eevee, Vee Vee Eevee. Eevee." (I know you're scared, but you have to trust us on this. It's now or never,) Eevee says.
Hearing Eevee's words, Phanpy musters up some courage and jumps into the rock, landing safely. Then Eevee follows onto the rock safely. Soon, Mew and the others arrive.
Molly calls out, "Look, there they are!"
"Oh no!" Misty says, shocked.
Mew calls out, "Pikachu! Eevee! Phanpy!"
The three Pokemon soon notice her.
Pikachu calls out, "Pika Pi!" (Mew!)
Phanpy cries out, "Phanpy!" (Mama!)
"Eevee!" (We're here!) Eevee calls out.
"They're still in danger, but at least they got away from Team Rocket," Brock says.
"That's a relief," Jen says.
Pikachu, eevee, and Phanpy leap to the next rock, but Phanpy slips and begins to fall in the river. But Pikachu acts fast and extends his tail to Phanpy, causing him to grab it. Eevee extends her tail, and Piakchu bites into it. The three try to hang on, but get upped into the river.
"Pikachu! Eevee! Phanpy! Look out!" Mew calls out.
"They're heading straight for the waterfall and it's a long drop to the rocks below!" Brock says.
"I'm going in!" Mew cays.
But Misty says, "No, Mew, don't!"
Mew calls out, "Pikachu! Eevee! Phanpy!"
Eevee is finally able to grab onto the rock.
"Hang on, Eevee!" Mew calls out as she and the others rush over.
"They can't hang on very long! I've gotta get in there and help!" Mew says.
"But how are you gonna do that, Mew?!" Tomo asks.
"Even my best water Pokémon wouldn't be able to swim in a current this strong!" Misty says.
"It'll be fine. I just need to think a minute," Mew says, looking around.
Soon, she notices a tree branch overhead, "That's it!"
Mew sets her bag down, pulls out a rope and gets on the branch.
Mew calls out, "Eevee!" and lower the rope, "Try and grab ahold of this rope!"
"You can do it! Just reach up and out and grab it!" Misty calls out.
"No way," Brock says, "If Eevee takes her paws off the rock, they'll all go over the falls!" Brock says.
"Alright, time for plan B!" Mew says.
Then she hangs from the branch by her legs and reaches for his Pokémon, "Eevee, I'm gonna try and reach down now!"
Mew mananges to grab Eevee and pulls her up. Pikachu continues to hang on, but Phanpy lets go of his tail as a result.
"Phanpy, no!" Mew cries out, and dives in after him.
Pikachu and Eevee cry out, "(Ash!)"
"Mew, be careful!" Misty cries out.
"The waterfall!" Brock cries out.
Mew swims up to Phanpy and says, "Grab on!"
Phanpy does so before they both go over.
Everyone cries out.
Mew acts fast and throws the rope out to the gang. Brock and the others grab the rope, saving both Mew and Phanpy's lives.
A little later, Mew and Phanpy are pulled to safety.
"It's good to have you back, Phanpy," Mew says.
Phanpy then jumps into Mew's arms in tears, "Phanpy!" (Mama!)"
And nuzzles Mew like crazy.
Mew hugs Phanpy, "It's going to be okay. It must have been scary for you."
"Pikachu! Pika Pika!" (Thank goodness! You're both safe now!) Pikachu says.
"Eevee Eevee," (You had us worried there.) Eevee adds.
"Everyone's safe.
"And we got Phanpy back. Hopefully that'll be the end of those troubles," Misty says.
Suddenly, Jessie's voice appears, "Did someone say trouble? As in, prepare for trouble?"
The group turns their heads to see Team Rocket lowering the hot air balloon to ground floor.
"Come on, Jess," James says.
"Oh, just having a little fun," Jessie says, "Next up, it's round two. Phanpy vs Pikachu!"
Meowth wags his tail, "Hey! Phanpy! You wouldn't forget an old friend, would you?"
However, Phanpy is not buying it, especially after them trapping Phanpy in a cage.
"It's not gonna work, it's too smart to fall for anymore of your lame stunts," Mew says.
"Oh, it is," James says.
"I don't think it's buying it, Meowth," Jessie says.
"I spent an hour paintin' my tail for you and dis stuff don't wash off!" Meowth says.
"Then you leave us no choice!" Jessie says and throws her Pokeball, "Go, Arbok!"
Then James calls out, "Okay, Weezing, get out there, too!"
Soon. both Pokemon come out of the Pokeballs.
Soon, Phanpy lets out cries and tries to wiggle his way out of Mew's arms.
Mew looks to Phanpy, "Phanpy, you think you're up for it?"
Phanpy agrees.
"Okay," Mew and puts Phanpy down.
Then calls out, "Go, Phanpy! Rollout!"
Phanpy races towards and nails both Arbok and Weezing, sending them flying into Team Rocket.
"Way to go, Phanpy!" Misty.
"Yeah! It hit them with just one shot!" Tomo says.
Brock says, "For its first battle, it really came out fighting."
"Oh, yeah?" James says and calls out, "Weezing, Smokescreen, now!"
Weezing launches the attack, blinding Phanpy.
Then Jessie calls out, "Alright, now, Arbok! Go out and get that Phanpy!"
"We're not gonna fall for that again! Eevee, use Iron Tail!"
Eevee performs Iron Tail and strikes at Arbok's tail.
Then Mew calls out, "Pikachu, Thunderbolt, now!"
Pikachu launches the attack and lands, but Jessie and James are unharmed.
Jessie laughs in triumph, "You can shock the balloon all you want, but nothing gets past these shock proof suits."
"Next time, how about we find one in my size?!" Meowth cries out.
"Wobbuffet!" (And in mine!) Wobbuffet agrees.
Then Mew says, "Eevee, help Pikachu! And let out more power!"
Pikachu and Eevee launch their attacks with full power.
"See, James? I told you Pikachu and Eevee would be powerless against us," Jessie says.
But James looks up, "Yes, but we forgot one small detail."
"What?!" Jessie exclaims.
They look to see the hot air balloon is getting electrocuted. And soon, the balloon explodes, sending Team Rocket flying once more.
"Looks like we're blasting off again!" Team Rocket cries out.
"Phanpy!" Mew happily calls out.
Then Phanpy leaps into Mew's arms.
"You were great," Mew says.
Pikachu and Eevee agree.
Then Mew says, "Great job, guys. After today's fight, I can't wait to see you in a gym battle."
Soon, the Pokemon celebrate while Mew giggles.
Borck says, "Check it out, Misty. Looks like Phanpy's not afraid of Mew getting hurt anymore."
"I know, Brock. Team Rocket's dirty trick showed Phanpy who its real friends are. And Mew will always be there for Phanpy, no matter what," Misty says.
It took a battle with Team Rocket to build trust between Ash and his new Pokémon. But now, with a happy, healthy, newly hatched Phanpy by his side, Mew and friends continue on toward Mahogany Town, where Mew will fight in his next gym battle.
