Kate tried to reach Castle numerous times; but their was no answer. She even tried, doing over to the loft. Stopped immediately, was told to leave. Unless, she had a warrant or was on approve list. Since she had neither, was told to leave. Feeling defeated, she thought about trying Gina. But, that wouldn't have worked too good either. Having no choice, but to go back to her apartment. Hadn't ate anything, but take out food and bottles of vodka. Which, isn't too healthy. At this point, don't care no more. Might have, just killed her own career. Even, if her captain; hadn't fired or taken away her position away. Tears; messy hair and very sicky looking skin.
There was a very loud, firm knock on her door. Getting up, from her couch. Goes over to answer her door. Lanie, at the door; don't look too happy. But, then she looked even more concerned. After seeing her best friend in her state. "My God; Girl! What?! Has happened to you." Just, walked right into the apartment. See the messed, that worries her more. "Look at your place. What on earth, going on with you?" Kate, just went back over to her couch. "Nothing, is going on here." Her best friend; had her hands on her hips. "Wanna try, that again. Look at yourself and state of your apartment." Wave her hands; around her place.
"There is nothing wrong here." Lanie, "Girl! Look at yourself; you're not you anymore." Barely, lifting her head up. "Doesn't matter anymore. I lost him." Her arms; crossed over her chest. Looking her friend square in the eyes. "Whose fault is that. It isn't a question, it's more of a statement. " Why, did you think, it was right to act that way. Have your boyfriend; bully him. Did, it give some sick pleasure. That, he was getting bullied along with Esposito and Tom. Did, you Castle face. He was deeply hurt, by your words and actions. Poor guy; could have just died." Kate, just had more tears falling down her face. "Don't think, I haven't gone through my mind. Over everything."
Lanie, see that it was hurting Kate, very deeply. But, she had cause that problem on her own. See that Kate, is really a ungrateful messed. "Girl, go take a hot bath. Clean yourself up, I'll work on your apartment. Get it clean up, then will go out to eat." She don't wanna move at all. But, the look from Lanie, was telling her not mess with her. Kate, was getting up from her couch. Then was, slowly going to her bedroom and grabbing her clothes. Kate, goes through her clothes. Heading to her bathroom; she turns on her water. Getting the tub, ready for her bath. Puts some bubble bath; in her water hoping, it would help her feel better.
While her water, is filling up in her tub; she brushed her teeth. Her mouth; felt very disgusting to her. From not brushing her teeth for a week. From greasy food; alcohol doesn't help much either. Then her bath water; was ready for her. Then gets undressed and steps into her hot water. Groaning very loudly; the water felt very good to her. Leaning back against the back of the tub. She grabs her cherry body wash. Got her cloth, put some on it. Scrub herself everywhere, started to feel a little better. Then letting the hot water, hit her sore muscles. Closing her eyes; putting the cloth over her face. Letting the steam; get her more waking up.
After her bath; she gets herself ready by fixing her hair and makeup. Regular bra and panties set. Her jeans and a shirt with a sweater. Puts on her boots, walking out. Her apartment; looks better and clean too. Lanie, was drinking a bottle of water. "Take some time, next time don't leave apartment looking like that. Please, never ever again." Kate, nodded her head. She really, had take better care of herself. "Let's go eat. I'm starving too." She grabs, her purse and coat. They head over, to Remy's for some good lunch. Both ordered burgers, fries and milkshakes. Kate order a chocolate shake, her friend order a strawberry milkshake. Having a glass of ice water.
"Now, we got our shakes and our food order is in." Lanie, had a lot to say to her best friend. "Sooner or later. We need to have this conversation. Weather, you wanted it or not." Kate, could see there was no fighting it. But, it was still painful to talk about. Suck, that her mistakes; were made in front of everyone to see at the precinct; for all to see. Everyone, had a front row seat to her shame and embarrassment. Was sure, that everyone was talking about her; behind her back. Felt even more guilty; but what for cause she uses another man. Had no right to uses him. "What do you want, me to say." Lanie, wanted to slap her. "Kate, you need to apologize. Not, only to Rick. But, to everyone that you hurt badly."
"You'll have to get back, in everyone good grace's. I mean it; you such have seen Rick face. Everytime, you picked your boyfriend and not him." Kate, was staring at her shake. Not, feeling too good at all. "You're right, hurt a lot of people with my actions. Had, no right to uses Tom. The way I did. Even if, he was a dick; wasn't the best in bed. That, was a stupid mistake on my part." Lanie, was just shaking her head; at her. "Girl?! How could you? Do you realize, that spreading that kind of gossips. Doesn't, put you in a good light with others." Kate, knew that her best friend; was more right then she knew. Had done, way more damage to herself.
"I'm sorry, Lanie. Wish, know where Rick was at right now. That way, I can apologize to him." She takes a slip, of her shake.
"Do, whatever you can do. But, fix yourself first. Cause your personal and career have suffered badly. But, if Rick come back into town. Just, make sure your really sorry." Lanie, tell her seriously.

Do you all, think Kate was really ready to love Castle? At the end of season 4. Do you think, she only wanted him; because she lost everything? Season 5 were you disappointed; that Kate old behavior kept coming back? Kate's boyfriends who do you all think, wasn't best boyfriend and who was her better match out of Will, Tom and Josh? Do you all, think her friends always made excuses about Kate behavior? I know, that Castle made mistakes. But, do all think Kate should have held the same way for her actions?
