Stuck in a maze...

Making an Indie film was harder than one would think, making a plot, hiring actors, filming locations, Etc. So when Kane nelson got invited to film one, he was surprised.
His friend William had a dream, make a Indie horror film about an abandoned shipyard overrun with cannibals.
On the first day of filming, they tried to reach a point in the plot where the main character would get into the shipyard.
Hours and hours of filming, preparing, and much more let them get five minutes into the movie.

The character would explore it and find one, push it into the water and run for his Car. But first he would explore it.
"Hey we're gonna take a few more shots, and then be done for the day, so take your time." His friend told him. William was the director of the film. He was incredibly talented; his leadership skills were noticeably above others.
"Y- Yeah sounds good." Kane responded. Five minutes into the film, great progress. It was going to be around an hour and a half long, taking multiple months to film, add Cgi and Etc.
The main character heard a noise, that was in fact, a cannibal. The shot they were taking was a wide angle, since they didn't have enough money for proper cameras, Jump scares weren't really meant for the first person Pov.
"Ok, ok that's good. We're gonna take a shot of the two of them running-" Kane had cut him off. "Hey, I have a suggestion."
"Yes?" Will responded, seeming slightly depressed. It was a very gloomy day out, but at least that made the Filming better.

"Maybe we could, I dunno, make that shot a *coughs*, Scarier?" William didn't get what he was hinting at, what could make the shot better. "Maybe have the camera up close."
Will nodded, he was clearly thinking about it. Although he wasn't very worried about it. "I'll think about it,
But for now just focus on the next shot." "Alright."

"Just back up a lil'." Kane was a bit distracted by the foggy weather, it was also slightly raining, and it was very cold outside. It felt like a depressing day. But he wasn't.
The camera quality wasn't even great, using Vhs tapes to record was very, weird. It was almost 2000, a new century and still recording with stupid old ones.
It was December 2nd, and slightly snowing, slush covered the ground, very slippery.
"This good?" Kane asked as he backed up. William thought it could be a little better. "Eh, just a little more." Kane had backed up around five feet, into some slush. "This Good?"
"Maybe just another foot or so." "Damn it Will." Kane thought to himself. He would get his new shoes incredibly soaked with rainwater and slush.

He felt as if he were backing into a hole, slipping and falling into the slush.
"AHHHHH! SHIT!" Kane exclaimed as he was falling. But he didn't hit a concrete surface covered in water. He landed on something that smelt, like shit.
A moist old carpet. It smelt horrible. "What the fuck? Hello?!" He fell twenty feet into some sort of Maze, a yellow one. Maybe something under the filming site?
His first thought was to look up and call for help. But the hole was absent, just a yellow ceiling with old, fluorescent lights. It stank as if garbage covered the Carpet. "This isn't funny! Hello?!"

The maze of office spaces sounded as if an old fan was running everywhere you went. And it was loud. Constantly humming.
It gave him a headache. He felt like shit, and hungry. He got his camera and stood up, looking around for a possible exit. He didn't know what to think, where the fuck even was he? Was this some stupid shitty prank by his friends?
It wasn't funny, the empty, large spaces made him feel nostalgia, and at unease. A very slight sense of unease. But then, he heard something else. A low, creaturely humming.
Something wasn't right. He looked around and saw something... Horrific, something so bizarre and strange. A black figure stood behind a wall, peaking out to spy on Kane...

"Um, hello?!" The creature let out a short humming sound, then disappeared. It looked as if it were glitching in and out of reality, parts of it's body twitching and shifting constantly. He felt scared, horrified.
This was traumatic. He ran upon the thing leaving, knowing it certainly wasn't human, and wasn't anything he'd seen before. Not something from Earth.
His Vhs recorder was wobbling around whilst he was running, he was scared for dear life.
"What the fuck is this place?!" He thought to himself. This was something he'd see in his nightmares. He ran out of breath, he had to take a deep long breath to get his stamina back up and going. Just then, he saw something.
Another person...

...

But he was dead. It looked like he was in a yellow suit. Covered in something that looked like black mold. It smelt nasty. The man was smushed against a wall by something huge, with powerful force going into the punch.
He couldn't even make out the man's face, as it was covered in a black goo of sorts.
The humming noise was back, the creature had been following him. Kane shifted towards the noise and saw it. "GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME!" He shouted in a desperate attempt to make the creature turn back. But it didn't. In fact it slowly moved towards him.
It smelled like it was made of tar, and garbage. A weird combination. With that he ran for his life, yet again.

Hey there! You probably recognize me from my Halo story, or not.
I don't know if I'm going to continue with the same character, or what else I'm going to do.
I make these stories so that I can feel as if I've done something.
Obviously this is the Backrooms, you've probably realized that as he entered.
Well, until I post another story, stay tuned!
