Chapter 8: 30th Century briefing

The group turned to the voice to come face to face with King Endymion in a royal tuxedo with lavender cape and ornate cane, a slightly older looking Sailor Mars, who's fuku had some minor changes (think the ones from the end of Sailor Moon Eternal) and Tepeu who apart from looking older appeared the same. "It is time for you all to learn the reason why my child ended up in your care." He waved his cane and images began to play around them. "Eventually the battles will end and there will be a time of peace and all of us will enjoy love, family, friends, lives free of obligations…

Faces blurred as couples and kids and picnics played out around them.

"Eventually, we knew that the respective thrones would need to be filled but we enjoyed the time we were granted too just be human." Mars said with a smile filled with joy filled memories.

The images slowed to show a beautiful crystal eutopia, filled with happy people.

"Although Endymion and Serenity ascended the thrones, most of us were able to still enjoy some quiet vacations of varying length and with some degree of privacy, "Tepeu smiled at the younger version of his wife.

"Then the day we all dreaded happened and the dark moon attacked without warning. The four spectre sisters each took a quarter of the planet and attacked in unison. Divided around the world most of us fell to injury, including Serenity," Mars said showing her shame in failing her brother and sister-in-law.

"As each of our children grew, I would regale them with stories of our youthful adventures as Tuxedo Mask and Sailor Moon. That is why I believe Chibi-Usa travelled back to the past to enlist the help of the senshi."

Pluto then appeared in front of the door, as if to ensure the three siblings obeyed her commands. "Pluto, has made it clear for the final battle there are limits that must be followed to prevent causing temporal issues and destroying timelines." Mars explained the presence of the time senshi.

"Only those that aren't conscious in our time can come and it is limited to seven travelers." Tepeu continued.

Endymion looked lovingly at his younger self and pregnant wife; he paused lost in his thoughts. `She was pretty as a baby, beautiful as a child, gorgeous as a teenager, exquisite as a woman and absolutely enchanting when pregnant. If I could keep her permanently pregnant with that alluring glow.'

Mars elbowed her brother to bring him back to the task at hand. Shaking his head, the King went on, "Endymion and Serenity need to be two of the seven." Serenity looked terrified as her hands went instinctively to her baby bump. "And for the safety of her and our children we must wait till the twins are born. Pluto can bring you to us days after this conversation from our prospective

The couple seemed to relax while still maintaining a concerned appearance. "Can we assume that by Mars and Tepeu being present that they are out of the running for this mission?" Ami asked. "Who else is eliminated from the running?"

"Pluto will provide you with a list of those that are eligible but, it will still need to be cut down. We leave our future in your hands." King Endymion then faced his daughter, "I cannot protect you at this time as I am only here as a projection while like mommy I rest to recover from my injuries. Stay here where there is an army to protect you and love you while we cannot." Chibi-Usa nodded as she returned to Endymion's younger self and allowed him to pick her up.

"You have our word," The prince said looking down to his wife and back to his future self, "We will protect her with our lives." The King looked at his younger self and nodded before he and his siblings turned and the door closed behind them, letting time return to normal.

The group disbanded for the day and spent the next year enjoying the freedoms of life, dating their respective loves. The senshi and generals alternated watching over the royal family and keeping watch for any new attacks from the Dark Moon and training. Endymion took Serenity and Chibi-Usa on a trip round the world spending a month or two per continent for the rest of the first quadrimester and the second, while Serenity was the most mobile. Endymion couldn't help himself as much as he loved his wife, he found her even more captivating the further along she got into the pregnancy.

For the third quadrimester found Serenity to be looking full term for a terran woman and part of Endymion wondered how much bigger her belly would swell with the growing life. Endymion took his family on several trips from cruises to different day trips anything and everything he could to keep her stress levels down and prevent her from worrying. He found the best way to do that was to let her watch their daughter happily play and be a carefree child.

The final quadrimester Serenity appeared to be pregnant with triplets and wanted to stay in Japan as she was worried about going into labor while they were mid travel. Endymion still found enjoyable family fun filled activities for the family and the senshi threw Serenity a beautiful baby shower, while the boys set up the nursery.

It was a fall evening when the twins were born, Serenity was in labor for two days and gave birth to two identical twin girls who were identical to their father except for their golden hair. They were named Roselyn and Datura and were both healthy and strong.

Serenity still found her hand going to her now still womb knowing that two children still slept inside but she now needed to focus on ending the battle that brought their younger sibling to the past.

As King Endymion promised Ami received an email of those who were able to make the trip. Rei, Kenji, Naru, Masaki were ruled out as they were on the list from Pluto. Makoto, Minako, Ami, Yuro and Nathan were selected and prepared for their trip. It was a cold spring evening when they summoned Pluto to take them to the 30th Century and the final battle with the Dark Moon.

Serenity knew she had to leave the twins and she trusted her friends to care for them but as a first-time mother she was struggling to be away from them, despite being told that for the twins it wouldn't be more than a night. Despite her emotions and concerns Serenity kissed her babies good night as she put them to bed before picking up Chibi-Usa and joining the rest of the team to summon Pluto to guide them to their destination, Crystal Tokyo.
