"Come on Graham," Ace takes his hand and they go back in together, she goes right on the stage, Graham smiles as he watches her in her element.

"Where did Lisa go," Nyssa asks as she comes up to him.

"Home."

"She likes you doesn't she?"

"Yeah, I didn't realize that, tonight was the first time I had seen her in 3 years."

"She saw you smiling and talking to another woman. A woman it is obvious to everyone but her that you like more than a friend."

"Is it that bad?"

"The exact opposite, you two have a connection, a deep connection." Nyssa looks back at Ace who at that moment catches Graham's eyes, and smiles even larger. "She is happy."

"From what she has told me she has been happy for years."

"She has, but this one is different."

"She finally got what happened with the Doc resolved."

"That is only part of it." Nyssa focuses back on Ace.

"Everyone enjoy the rest of your night," Ace gets off the stage and rejoins the table. "Are you doing ok Graham?"

"I am, I just feel horrible, I didn't realize I was leading on Lisa."

"It sucks falling for someone who may not be interested in you." Ace and Graham look at each other both thinking that neither is interested; even though Lisa told Graham that Ace likes him.

"Excuse me," someone comes up to the table. "Ms. McShane." Ace smiles at the man, "I have a question."

"What is it?"

"You have a man on each side of you. Is one of them your boyfriend? We know that Nyssa and Tegan are married, but nothing about you."

"Not that it matters, but Liam," Ace points to her left," is my brother, and Graham," Ace points to her right, being careful not to touch him, "is a new friend."

"What kind of friend?"

"Why does it matter who my sister is dating?"

"She is Dorothy McShane, there are people who are wondering who keeps her happy and if someone has a warm meal for her when she gets home."

"Dorothy, can take care of herself and doesn't need anyone," Ace finally lets herself touch Graham's arm which scares them both that it relaxes them that much.

"It's ok, I may not have anyone at home, but I have surrounded myself with wonderful people who I love and they love me," Ace hasn't removed her hand from Graham's arm and everyone notices it.

"Are you sure the two of you aren't together?" The man asking questions looks between Ace and Graham.

"We are, Dorothy and I are only friends."

"Yeah right." The guy walks away already thinking about his article about this event and the pictures he took while Dorothy McShane was dancing with Graham.

"Ace, do you want to dance some more," Graham holds out his hand for Ace to take, as she lays her hand in his and they move to the dance floors. Ace lets go of Graham's hand and puts both of her hands around his neck and rests her head on his shoulder. Graham wraps her in his arms as they get lost in the moment.

"Liam," Nyssa looks to Ace's brother, "you have known your sister longer then Tegan and I have, what do you think of her and Graham?"

"If she would stop denying that she is falling deeply for him it will be better."

"Nys, you and I are experts in that field."

"2 years worth of it."

"More like 30," Tegan says.

"Most of it we were in different places."

"That we were, wife should we dance," Tegan asks Nyssa who is wearing a burgundy dress.

"Are you ok to be by yourself Liam?"

"I am, none of us knew that Graham would be showing up."

"Maybe one day we all will be sitting in a big venue and watching them dance their first dance as husband and wife."

"I don't think my sister is one for a big white wedding, you two go dance. I will keep an eye out to make sure less people get drawn to my sister and Graham."

Tegan and Nyssa move to the dance floor and notice that their friends are dancing even closer with their eyes closed. "You think they talked while we were talking?"

"I wish my Sweet, but knowing Ace, I don't think so." Tegan replies. They focus back on each other smiling while dancing foreheads touching.

"Ace," Graham whispers. "You are a wonderful dancer."

"So are you," the music stops, Ace and Graham separate and walk back to the table. "If I had known."

"It's ok Ace, this was the first time I have seen you dancing at one of these. I liked seeing it." When they were talking Nyssa and Tegan watched as Graham picked up Ace's jacket.

"Sis," Liam points behind Ace and she turns around as Graham holds up the jacket and helps Ace put it on.

Graham turns to face Tegan and Nyssa, "ladies."

"No need, we didn't bring jackets."

"Graham, do you want a ride home," Ace asks him.

"If you may?"

"Don't worry we can squeeze you in, I am sure my sister wouldn't mind being so close to you."

"Liam!"

"I am not wrong, am I Tegan, Nyssa?"

Tegan is glad that there is someone who likes to tease Ace as much as she does, "when the two of you were just dancing there was no space." Ace and Graham step away from each other.

"Come on you four," Nyssa says, "we all should be leaving. Liam, do you want to drive?"

"It is my car after all," he jokes.

"Tegan, do you want to sit on the passenger side until we drop off Graham."

"Sure," Tegan knows her wife is trying to get Ace and Graham to be closer, "Ace should sit in the middle."

"The two of you are planning something."

"Let's just go," Graham is ready to leave. They all pile into the car, Ace and Graham's hips are touching, without realizing it they end up holding hands, Nyssa notices it and smiles. After they arrive at Graham's flat Ace offers to walk him to his door.

"I'm fine."

"I want to stretch my legs a little bit."

"Ok," Graham smiles at her. After they are on the second step, Tegan hurriedly follows them. "This is it," Graham takes out his keys and faces Ace. "If I am honest minus everything with Lisa; I had a wonderful time tonight."

Stepping closer to Graham, Ace replies, "me too, I can't remember the last time, I had such a perfect time at one of these events. Thank you" Neither of them realize they are being watched by Tegan. Both Ace and Graham bite their lips as they gaze into each other's eyes. Ace decides to lean up a little bit and kiss his cheek. "Good night Graham," Tegan moves quickly and runs down the stairs.

"Good night, Ace." She starts to walk away not paying attention to the thundering feet ahead of her. Tegan slides into the car at a fast pace.

"She," breath, "kissed," breath, "his," breath, "cheek." Nyssa puts her arm around her wife. Tegan had just caught her breath as Ace walked to the car and smiled at her friends' antics knowing they had her and Graham sit next to him. She feels her lips tingling from the slight stubble on Graham's cheek.

"Are you going to come in the car sis," Liam has rolled down the window, He looks past her and sees Graham watching as she gets in the car. Graham then turns around. "Ace?"

"Yes?"

"What kind of spell did you put that man under, he was just making sure you got to the car safely."

"He was?"

"Yep," Liam looks to his older sister as she fastens her seatbelt.

"He really likes you Ace," adds Tegan, hoping she doesn't sound out of breath still.

"He's a good mate," Ace is glad that no one would have seen her kiss Graham on the cheek.
