Lovely Lane Chapter 9

Spring Vacation VI

MALIBU BEACH

While in torpedo mode Clark had heard a low rumble, like an engine. He had taken a look out to sea, and thought he saw a submerged object . . . maybe a submarine. Then he got caught up in the rescue, but this bothered him. He had to take a look. This didn't seem legit.

He popped his head above water, he was ~200 yards offshore. 'Lana, can you read me'

'Yes, Clark and I see you, here comes the device'

'Got it, thanks, more later'

Lana sees him submerge; Kensi and Deeks missed it.

Clark goes to a depth of 50' and listens and looks. He sees the object about ½ mile north of his position. He carefully torpedoes to within 200 yards, then stops and listens. He picks up nothing that sounds like human activity. He goes down and comes up underneath the sub; he places the GPS and speeds down, then away. He has been under water ~ 8" – his limit is 10-12". He comes up so his head & shoulders are out of the water and hovers.

'Do you read me, babe'

'Yes, what did you do?'

'GPS on the underside. Submarine, 50' long, no markings. One hatch on top.'

'Lana, shall I return or stay and observe?'

Lana talks with Kensi and Deeks. She relays all Clark has said. "Do you have a comm unit for me?" She asks.

"No, sorry." Kensi is downcast.

"Of course." Lana smirks.

"Tell Clark he can come in." Deeks instructs.

"On it!" Lana disappears in a flash of white/purple light.

"What the hell!"

'SHIT'

'Babe, I am driving north, come to me' Lana communicates with Clark.

He finds her in 2 minutes, floats beside the passenger side door, opens it and takes a seat.

"What happened, sweetie?"

"They pissed me off. I asked for a comm unit, they said NO, of course."

"Screw them. What now?"

DISNEYLAND

The rest of the day they wandered around The Happiest Place on Earth:

It's a small, small world. "Lana" Clark whines. "Why did I ever agree to come on this ride? I will never, ever, get that song out of my head!" She smirks, and hums along.

Pirates of the Caribbean."Look how they are treating that lady!" "Lana, that is a lady of the evening! She asked for it." "How do you know that, Mister Kent?" "Look how she is dressed." "Hmpf!"

Mister Toad's Wild Ride.Lana keeps burying her face in Clark's chest. "Did you know how scary that ride was going to be? Did you? Huh?" He pats her back, "There, there."

Tomorrow Land speedway.Clark leads Lana by 2 car lengths coming to the last straightaway. She teleports herself and her car across the finish line and wins! "Che . . ." Oops, can't say that. 'I heard that Clark, what are you gonna do? Huh?'

Dole pineapple whip at the Tiki Room.

Walt Disney's apartment. Above the fire station on Main Street – tour.

Monorail back to their hotel. They changed hotels to throw NCIS off their trail. Hopefully.

Back at the hotel. "Clark, why don't you shower first, I'm going to do a little more studying on magic."

"Ok, I'll save you some water."

She gets her magic materials and sits on the couch to study. She smiles as she hears him hum "It's a small, small world." He'll never get that out of his head! Maybe I can help him.

The water turns off and he comes out in his robe. "Your turn, babe."

"Ok, see you in a few." He doesn't notice, but she takes a small gift bag with her into the bathroom. 20 minutes later she comes out, he is sitting on the bed. She pauses, he looks up. 'OMG! What is she wearing?'

"See something you like, lamb-chop?"

Lana slips over and sits, straddling his thighs.

"Ah . . . did I miss a signal somewhere?" Clark whispers.

"No, you are looking at a green light . . . Dusty Rose colored, actually."

"I see that. Just a moment, I'll be right back." He gives her a peck on the lips.

She doesn't let him go. "I've got us covered, my love."

"Oh."

She does cover him, he moans, she purrs.

As they come down to earth he breaths, "I always envisioned our first time being in my loft."

"Wherever, I always wanted my first time to be with you."

"Not what's his name?"

"Nope, nobody else but you. Only you."

"Well, I'm glad that I could make one dream come true. It's been only you for me too, for a long time. For a while there I was worried that I'd lost you."

"But we found each other. I came to my senses and returned to my first, and only true love."

"You say such nice things to me! Have I told you that I LOVE YOU recently?"

"Not for . . . an hour or so."

"Well, I will correct that right now – 143, always and forever!"

"143, always and forever!"

"Good-night, sweetheart."

"Good-night my love."
