Ladybug was returning home from another mission, just as she reached her home and detransformed back into Marinette.
Marinette: Phew! That was a close save.
Ash: [laying down on a chair; smirks] What took ya so long?
Marinette: A bit of a holdup! Besides, you got a head start!
Ash: [giggles] Guilty as charged!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA.
Then, the two friends went down into Marinette's room, as Marinette released Popplio from her PokéBall.
Popplio: [appearing] POP POP!
Marinette: There's my baby girl!
Popplio: [happily jumps up and down; saying "Mama!"] POP POP!
Marinette: Come to mommy!
Popplio: [jumps into Marinette's arms] POP!
Marinette: [catches her and hugs her] My baby girl!
Popplio: [happy; nuzzles against her] POP POP!
Marinette: [giggles]
Ash: What did I tell ya, Marinette? You'd make a great Pokémon Trainer!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Marinette: And you were right!
Popplio: [nuzzles against her affectionately] POP POP!
Marinette: [giggles]
Tikki: What you did for Alya today was very cool, Marinette!
Marinette: [sits down in her swivel chair with Popplio in her lap] You think? I would've liked to do more, but...
Sabine: [from downstairs] Marinette! Alya's here!
Ash: Uh oh.
Alya: [from downstairs] Don't worry, Ms. Dupain-Cheng, I'll just head up.
Marinette: You didn't exactly wait very long to tell me the big news.
Popplio: [saying Auntie Alya] POP POPPLIO!
Marinette: Yes, Popplio! You get to see Auntie Alya! [to Tikki] Hide Tikki, quick!
Tikki hid in her jacket just as Alya barged in while Marinette sat there with an innocent grin.
Alya: Girl, you will not believe what just happened to me!

Ash (voiceover): Chapter 24: The Mime!
Narrator: After another thrilling victory against another akumatized villain, Ash and Marinette are taking a break, when who should arrive unexpectedly but Alya, who seems more excited than usual!
Alya: So Ladybug had just saved a bunch of workers from a supervillain! There were like a gazillion reporters waiting to interview her and... that's when it happened!
Ash: What happened?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Alya then played a video on her phone and handed it to Marinette while Popplio jumped into her arms!
Popplio: [nuzzles against Alya; saying Auntie Alya] POP POPPLIO!
Alya: Aww, hi, Popplio!
Popplio: [smiles] POP POP!
Alya: How's my little [nuzzles noses with Popplio] Pokémon niece?
Popplio: [happily claps] POP POP POP POPPLIO!
Alya: [giggles]
The video shows Ladybug rescuing a child and reuniting him with his parents. Then, she greets Alya, who is filming the video.
Ladybug: [from phone] Hey! Aren't you Alya, the girl who writes the blog about me? The...Ladyblog!
Alya: [from phone] Uh... yeah!
Ladybug: [from phone] I like your work. It's awesome. Keep it up! [her Miraculous beeps]
Alya: [from phone; points] Your earring, Ladybug!
Ash: [powered up with the Sky Plate; from phone] Time to go!
Pikachu: [from phone; agreeing] PIKACHU!
Ladybug: [from phone] Ah! Thanks. Better get going. Bug out!
Ash: [from phone; counts fast] Three two one go! [takes flight with Pikachu on his shoulder]
Ladybug: [from phone] Hey! No fair, Ash! You started first! [swings after him on her yo-yo]
Then, the video ended!
Marinette: Uh... that was super...

Ash: It sure is! [smirks] Especially the part where I took off first! Literally! [chuckles]

Marinette: [as Tikki floated out of her jacket] You're right, Tikki, I think it made her a little happy.
Ash: Are you kidding, Marinette? You made her super happy! Heck, overjoyed!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Popplio: [agreeing] POP POP!
Ash: Almost like how I would feel about meeting a new kind of Pokémon!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PI!
Tikki: But this is more of a big deal for Alya!
Ash: I hear ya, Tikki! Once she posts this on the Ladyblog, it's gonna blow up!
Tikki: [gasps] It's gonna explode?! [hides behind Marinette; whimpers in fear]
Ash: No no, Tikki! It's expression! What I mean is is that it would go viral on the internet!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Tikki: Then, why did you say it would blow up?

But then, the phone slipped out of her hand over the railing, but luckily for her, she was able to grab it!
Marinette: Whoa! You thought I was gonna drop it, didn't you?
Ash: Honestly, yes.
But then, Marinette made a horrible mistake! She pressed the wrong button and accidentally deleted it!
Tikki: Video deleted?
Ash: Oh. That is not good. I think you just accidentally deleted the video.
Pikachu: PIKA?!
Marinette: [gasps] I didn't just do that! Tell me I didn't just do that!
Tikki: You didn't just do that.
Marinette: [sinks onto her knees] Ahhh!
Ash: Yeah! You're screwed!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Popplio: [worried] POP POP!
Ash: If Alya finds out you deleted the video, she'll probably bring the cartoon mallet pain onto you!
Marinette: [whimpers nervously] Ash, you are not helping!
Tikki: But at least you didn't drop it!
Ash: Yeah. Yeah. That's true. She didn't drop and/or break it.
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Ash: But still, you'll be getting the cartoon mallet to the head multiple times if Alya finds out.
Marinette: Oh, I really screwed up this time! Alya's gonna kill me!
Tikki: It's not the end of the world. I'm sure Alya will understand, uh, she is your best friend!
Popplio: [agreeing] POPPLIO!
Marinette: You're right.
Ash: Or she'll probably get angry and bring the cartoon mallet pain onto your noggin!
Ash wasn't helping and Marinette was imagining what will happen if she tells Alya that she deleted the video and how she'll react. She was imagining Alya doing exactly what Ash was thinking! Hitting her in the head with a cartoon mallet!
Popplio: POP?
Marinette: Uh, on second thought...
Ash: It might happen!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Marinette: I'll hit YOU in the head with a cartoon mallet if you don't stop making things worse!
Ash: Okay okay! I'll stop! But I'm sure she won't get that mad!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Marinette: Well...
Alya: Who are you talking to?
That made Marinette nervous as Tikki flew behind her back!
Marinette: Uh, to a...a [points to a pigeon] pigeon! Say hello to Alya, Jacques!
Ash: Uh... You realize pigeons don't talk, right?
Pikachu: [tilts his head] PIKACHU?
Popplio: [tilts her head] POP?
Marinette: [places a finger on Ash's lips] Hush!
Ash: [muffled talking]
Alya: Say "Bye bye", Jacques. And come down! You've got visitors!
Ash: [takes Marinette's finger off his mouth; excited] Is Juleka here?!
Alya: Unfortunately, no!
Ash: [slumps in disappointment] Aw.
Pikachu: [ears droop] PIKA.
Alya: It's actually Mylène with her dad! Come on!
Ash: [as Alya goes down] Oh yeah! [to Marinette] Weren't you working on that bowler hat for Mylène's dad?
Marinette: Oh yeah! I was! [grabs Ash by the wrist] Let's go!
Ash: [as Marinette drags him in] Ying.
They go downstairs to Marinette's room, and see Sabine, Mylène, and Mylène's father Fred.
Sabine: What did you say the name of the play is, Mr. Haprèle?
Fred: Well, it's...
Mylène: It's called "The Mime's Extraordinary Adventures", starring the most talented, amazingly awesome actor and mime!
Fred: Come on, now.
Mylène: My father! Give it up for Fred Haprèle!
Ash, Marinette, Alya and Sabine applaud Fred.
Pikachu: [clapping] PIKA PIKACHU!
Popplio: [clapping] POP POP POP POP!
Fred: Thank you very much! Thank you, Mylène.
Sabine: Well, congratulations, you must make your daughter very proud!
Ash: Well, he should! She would expect nothing less from a great father! Come to think of it! I happen to have brought a Pokémon that basically is a mime! Or mime-type so speak!
Marinette: A-chicka-quack-quack?
Ash: [pulls out a PokéBall] May I introduce... [opens it, reveal a certain Barrier Pokémon that's was seen during the Rogercop episode] Mimey!
Mr. Mine (Mimey): [greeting] MR. MIME MIME!
Fred: Oh my!
Marinette: Wait! Mr. Mime? I thought it was your mom's Pokémon?
Ash: Oh, it is! Right now, it's currently living at the Cerise Institute back in my world! I've actually used Mimey to battle in the Hoenn Flute Cup!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Marinette: You did?
Alya: Can it really battle?
Ash: It sure can!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [places its arms on its hips; proud] MIME MIME!
Sabine: Well, I think it's rather charming!
Mylène: I agree! It is pretty cute!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): MIME? [blushing; flattered] MR. MIME!
Fred: Now all I need is my hat to complete my costume.
Ash: Oh yeah! The hat! Mimey, would mind getting it for Mr. Haprèle from Marinette's desk, please?
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [complying] MR. MIME!
The Barrier Pokémon went to do just that!
Marinette: [as Mimey brought the hat over] Here it is!
Fred: Thank you, Marinette! Mimey! Saving me at the last minute.
Fred mimes that the hat is inside a box. Fred opens the box and puts on the hat. Mimey holds the invisible box.
Mr. Mime (Mimey): MIME MIME!
Ash: Wow! I can basically see you having a Mr. Mime for your partner, Mr. Haprèle!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Mylène: That would be amazing!
Sabine: Ha! I don't think Mylène was exaggerating at all!
Fred: Why, thank you!
Marinette: I fixed the tear in it. I also sewed the pocket on the inside, just like you asked.
Fred: You've done a perfect job. Thanks to you, I'll have my good luck charm right here next to me at all times. [places a photo of Mylène into the pocket] A photo of my beloved daughter.
Mylène: [as her father puts on the hat] Aw, dad... [hugs Fred]
Ash: Wow! You look great, Mr. Haprèle! And ready for the spotlight, I might add!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Fred: Thank you, Ash!
That's when his phone began to ring! He answered it!
Fred: Hello, Sa...
Sarah: [from phone; yells, making Ash flinch] Fred, where are you?
Fred: Yes, I had to pick up my hat!
Sarah: I need you here now!
Fred: It's not an excuse! I know the bus is leaving in less than a half hour, I'll be there! [closes the call] That was Sarah, the place director. She's very nervous about the premiere. She's ready to blow a fuse!
Ash: Well, she could learn to chill out!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKA!
Ash: What does she have to worry about? They have the best mime/"father-of-one-of-my-good-friends" in all of Paris!
Mylène: [giggles] Aww, Ash!
Ash: Anyway, want me help give you a lift to your bus, Mr. Haprèle? My Dragonite is super fast!
Fred: No thank you, Ash! The bus stop should be close by, so I better get going. [to Marinette, Alya, and Mylène] See you tonight at the Eiffel Tower, girls!
Alya: We can't wait!
Mylène: Love you, Dad!
Ash: Good luck!
In the streets, Sarah and another member of the troupe are about to board the bus for the mime show.
Chris: So, what's his excuse this time?
Sarah: He had to pick up his hat from a repair shop. At least that's what he said.
Chris: Well, he's a very convincing actor.
Sarah: Actually, he is a great actor. But he's always making excuses for why he's late, why he's...
Chris: Falls asleep in the middle of rehearsal? Why he has to leave early? Why he's missing parts of his costume? Come on, Sarah! When are you gonna wake up and smell the coffee? But it's up to you if you wanna make the show suffer.
Sarah: Look, you're his understudy. Just be ready to take his place in case something happens, okay?
Chris: I won't let you down, Sarah.
Sarah: Thanks.
But Chris had a sneaky and awful idea!
Chris: [chuckles deviously]
One thing's for sure, it won't be good! Back at the bakery, Ash and his friends had just finished a nice lunch!
Mylène: [takes a sip from her drink] Thanks, Marinette. I gotta go. [grabs her bag] I wanna swing by my house to change before the show.
Ash: No problem, Mylène! We'll see you at the premiere!
But then, Alya's phone rang from Marinette's pocket!
Alya: Hey, that's my ringtone!
Ash: [whispers] Uh oh.
Marinette took out the phone with a nervous smile on her face!
Ash: [covering for her] Silly Marinette, you forgot to give Alya back her phone!
Marinette: I guess I did! Oh dear, how silly of me!
Popplio: POP?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Alya: Gimme! [grabs her phone] That was my mom. I'll call her back later. Hey, Mylène! You wanna see the most amazerrific video?
Ash: [irks; whispers] Double uh oh.
Marinette: No! Uh... I mean... You wouldn't wanted to be late for her dad's premiere, would you?
Mylène: Yeah, Marinette's right. I gotta get going.
Ash: Yeah! Best do that, Mylène!
Alya: Okay. I'll walk out with you and show it to you on the way.
Ash: [whispers] Marinette, do something. Or else... The cartoon mallet.
Marinette: Wait! [grabs the phone from Alya's bag without her noticing, much to Ash's shock] Your bag's still open. [closes the bag] All good! See you tonight!
Alya: Bye!
Mylène: Bye.
Popplio: [waves goodbye; saying "Bye bye, Auntie Alya! Bye bye, Auntie Mylène!"] POP POP, POPPLIO! POP POP, POPPLIO!
Alya: Bye, Poppy baby! [leaves with Mylène]
Ash: What the hey, Marinette?! You palmed a friend's phone for the second time!
Pikachu: [annoyed] PIKACHU!
Popplio: [shocked] POP?!
Marinette: Come on! You know I had to in order to save my skin!
Ash: [facepalms; groans]
Pikachu: [exasperated] PIKACHU-PI.
Marinette: [to Popplio] Don't do what Mama just did, Popplio!
Popplio: [scolding] POP POP POPPLIO POP!
Ash: Looks like a little role reversal!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): MIME?
In the streets, Fred was hurrying to board the bus, but Along the way, he was receiving a call from his phone.
Fred: [answers his phone] Don't worry Sarah. I'm early. I'm just around the corner.
Chris: No, this is Chris. Sarah asked me to call you with a last-minute location change. The bus is picking us up in 10 minutes, in front of the Louvre Pyramid.
Fred: Really? That's on the other side of town!
Chris: Yes, but, uh... It's closer to the Eiffel Tower.
Fred: Well, okay. Uh, luckily, I'll just make it on time. Thanks for letting me know, friend.
Chris: Sure, we'll see you there!
Little did Fred know that this was all a ploy for Chris to get the part instead of him!
Chris: [chuckles deviously]
Meanwhile, Alya and Mylène are about to go home.
Alya: I'm off this way.
Mylène: All right, see you later.
Alya: Wait! I have to show you my awesome [digs in her bag for her phone] vid...
But she realized that her phone was gone!
Alya: Where'd my phone go?
Back in Marinette's room, Marinette still had Alya's phone!
Tikki: You stole Alya's phone?
Marinette: Um, I... borrowed it! Look. All I need to do is transform into Ladybug and film myself during the exact same thing in the exact same place. And then I'll give it right back.
Popplio: [scolding; pointing her flipper at Marinette; saying "Naughty Mama!"] POP POP POPPLIO!
Ash: Popplio's got a point, Marinette! You know that Alya's gonna realize it's missing and track it down, right?
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Popplio: POP!
Marinette: That's why I'll be super quick!
Tikki: I don't know. Maybe it's just better to come clean now. You might be digging yourself a bigger hole.
Ash: She does have a point, Marinette! And pretty soon, you won't be able to climb out of that hole!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Marinette: I can handle this.
Tikki: Fine. But don't say we didn't warn you.
Ash: [nods in agreement]
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
[Marinette's phone rings]
Marinette: [answers her phone] Hey there, Mylène!
Mylène: [from phone] Do you have Alya's cellphone?
Marinette: Uh, Alya's phone? [digs into her purse and takes it out] Ah! There it is! It must have fallen down off her bag! Silly girl.
Alya: [from phone] Me! I'm here too.
Marinette: Oh! Hi, Alya. You're on speakerphone? Hmm.. 'kay, I'll give it to you later on...at the show. See ya! [hangs up; groans]
Ash and Tikki look at her deceivingly.
And so did Pikachu and Popplio.
Marinette: Don't look at me like that. This is all gonna work out! I think...
Ash: Yeah, I'm getting a bad feeling about this!
Marinette: Well, drop your bad feeling thought and let's go!
Ash: Yeah! I'm not gonna lie to Alya like this! Oh! That reminds me! I gotta go freshen up for the show tonight! I promised to take Juleka and I gotta look my best! [as he starts to rush down to the bathroom] You go on ahead, Marinette! I'll catch up with you later!
Marinette: Got it!
[Transformation Sequence]
Marinette: Tikki, spots on! Ha!
Then, she transformed into Ladybug!
Popplio: [amazed; eyes sparkle] POPPLIO!
Ladybug: Alright, Popplio! Momma's gonna go save her skin! [returns Popplio]
Then, she went onto the balcony and swung away on her yo-yo! With Fred's troupe, Chris was talking to Sarah about the said actor being "late".
Chris: We have to get to the Eiffel Tower for dress rehearsal. If you wait any longer, you'll be jeopardizing the entire production.
Sarah: [sighs] You're right, Chris. Let's get going. [gets on the bus] You'll be taking Fred's place tonight.
Chris: I definitely won't let you down.
With Fred, he made it to the Louvre, but Fred didn't see the bus.
Fred: Where are they? [runs into Theo, who's wearing a sign of the play] Excuse me, you haven't seen a bus with the poster for The Mime's Extraordinary Adventures on it, have you? [as Theo shakes his head]
On the bus, Sarah's phone rang, revealing the caller to be Fred.
Chris: He's got some nerve. Calling now? I wouldn't give him the time of day if I were you.
Sarah wanted to, but she felt like it was time to tell him off! But what she didn't realize was that Chris had lied to Fred about the fake location change! Then, she answered her phone!
Fred: [from phone] Sarah, where are you?
Sarah: We waited for you, but you never came.
Fred: But I'm on time! In front of the pyramid.
Sarah: What are you talking about? Why would we be meeting there?
Fred: I don't know! I...I thought the meeting place had changed!
Sarah: Fred, I don't want to hear any of your lame excuses.
Fred: But, Chris said...
Sarah: I don't care. It's not just this excuse, it's...every excuse. It's always an excuse. Well, enough is enough. Chris will be the lead tonight at the premiere. At least I can count on him. [throws her phone onto another seat] Ugh!
Fred was extremely disappointed and took his hat off in sadness! At Hawk Moth's lair, the said villain sensed the negative emotion as the window of his lair opened!
Hawk Moth: [as his window opens] Hmm. An actor who misses his own premiere. Now that's a tragedy. [turns a butterfly into an Akuma; to Team Rocket] Is the Rocket Prize Master ready, my loyal followers?
Jessie: Ready!
James: Willing!
Meowth: And able!
Wobbuffet: [affirmative] WOBBU!
Hawk Moth: Wonderful. Rocket Prize Master, give me a Pokémon with the ability to pantomime!
With a crank and a twist, out came a Team Rocket PokéBall!
Rocket Prize Master: [robotic voice] You have received the Galarian Form of the Barrier Pokémon, Mr. Mime!
Hawk Moth: A different form, you say? Now this [takes the PokéBall] should be intriguing.
Then, he shrunk the PokéBall and released the Akuma!
Hawk Moth: Go, my evil Akuma, let's hand this actor the role of a lifetime!
Then, the Akuma flew off into the city, carrying the PokéBall with it!
James: It would seem this time a regional variant is being given to one of the boss's victims!
Hawk Moth: I assume you three know about this?
Jessie: In a way, yes!
Meowth: [takes out their Rotom Phone] So what are we talking about here?
Team Rocket's Rotom Phone: Can't you bother me later? I'm on my break and I have my "do not disturb" function on.
Team Rocket: [shocked] Huh?!
Meowth: Hey, come on! Don't do this in front of bossman, Hawk Moth!
Wobbuffet: [nervous] WOBBU WOB!
Hawk Moth: [unamused look; first eyes the fourth wall, then back at Team Rocket] You three have such an inefficient phone.
James: [groans] I couldn't agree with you more, boss.
Jessie: Well, whaddya want us to do? It's always this lazy!
Hawk Moth: You need to show this thing who's in charge! Crack the whip on it or crack it to pieces! Allow me to demonstrate. [to Team Rocket's Rotom Phone] Listen here, you infernal contraption! Tell me what I need to know about the Galarian Mr. Mime or else!
Team Rocket's Rotom Phone: You'll find out soon enough. [yawns] I'm just not feeling it to-
Hawk Moth: [angry] REVEAL THE DATA OR I SHALL ANNIHILATE YOU!
Team Rocket's Rotom Phone: [startled] Mr. Mime! Galarian Form! The Barrier Pokémon! An Ice and Psychic-type! It can radiate chilliness from the bottoms of its feet. It'll spend the whole day tap-dancing on a frozen floor!
Team Rocket was both shocked and amazed at how their Rotom Phone obeyed his command!
James: [applauds] Good show, boss!
Jessie: That kind of aggression is the best kind of agression!
Meanwhile, Ladybug had arrived at the Louvre and was ready to redo Alya's video.
Ladybug: [puts the phone near a wall] Okie dokie, here we go... [starts recording] Hey, aren't you Alya, the girl who writes the blog about me? The... Ladybl-
But a stray cat peeked into the video!
Ladybug: Hey! No, get away!
The cat jumped off and knocked the phone into a trashcan.
Ladybug: Ugh...that is so... Eww!
For Ladybug, that wasn't supposed to happen! Then, she went over to the trash can and began to dig through it to find Alya's phone.
Ladybug: Cats are nothing but trouble.
Meanwhile, Fred was still sad that he won't be acting in the show, thanks to the deceptive ploy created by Chris.
Fred: [looking at a photo of his daughter] What did I do? You're going to be so disappointed at me, Mylène...
Then, the Akuma arrived and it was heading for Fred! Once it flew into his picture of Mylène, a light mask appeared upon his face!
Hawk Moth: Mime, I am Hawk Moth. I'm giving you the power to make whatever you gesture come to life. Destroy this premiere performance! You may be a mime, but they can't silence you! However, in return, you must bring me back Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculouses. So, shall we get on with the show?
Fred smirks and is akumatized into the Mime. Then, the Team Rocket PokéBall next to him opened up, revealing the Galarian Mr. Mime!
Hawk Moth: To assist you in your mission, you will use the Galarian Form of the Barrier Pokémon, Mr. Mime!
Mr. Mime (Galarian): MR. MIME MIME!
When the Mime laid his sights on posters of the show, he drew out an invisible sword and sliced every single poster to shreds! Then, when he saw Théo Barbot wearing signs of the show, he mimed a command to the Galarian Mr. Mime!
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [Ice Shard move] MR. MIME!
Théo: [running away; screams]
However, a police car was coming onto the scene, but the Mime mimicked a baseball bat to knock it off and send it flying! That made the Galarian Mr. Mime clap! Ladybug noticed this and tied her yo-yo around a pair of lampposts to make a net, making the police car bounce and land safely, as Officer Roger stumbled out, shaking.
Ladybug: [rushes over to Officer Roger] Are you okay?
Agent Roger gave a thumbs up, right after Ladybug saw the Mime while the police officer ran away in terror.
Ladybug: It looks like Mylène's dad's hat. [gasps] Oh no! Mr. Haprèle? If there's something ticking you off, we can talk about it, you know?
The Mime mimics a bow and arrows, and throws them at the police car, barely missing Ladybug.
Ladybug: Or maybe not. [dodges the Mime's arrows and spins her yo-yo]
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [Ice Punch move] MIME... MR. MIME!
Ladybug: YIKE! [dodges]
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [dancing] MIME MIME! MR. MIME MIME!
Ladybug: Mr. Mime? But why does it look so different from Mimey?
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [dancing] MIME MIME! MR. MIME MIME!
Ash wasn't too far from the Louvre, and was on his Rotom Phone, talking to his girlfriend.
Ash: Can't wait to see you at the show tonight, Jules! I'm all yours for the whole show!
Juleka: [over the phone] I can't wait either, babe.
Ash: I know! Plus, we'll do some special training tomorrow, just you and me!
Juleka: [over the phone] Awesome.
Ash: Yep! Any who, I'll meet you by the Eiffel Tower later on so we can hang out! And you're more than welcome to bring Rose!
Juleka: [over the phone] Okay, babe. Love you. [pretends to kiss him through the phone]
Ash: [chuckles] Love you too, Jules!
Then, Ash hung up!
Ash: [sighs romantically] I love that goth girl!
Pikachu: [smiles] PIKACHU!
But his happy moments were about to be ruined!
Rotom Phone: [alarm sounding] Akuma Alert! Akuma Alert!
Ash: An Akuma Alert now?! Rotom, identify!
Rotom Phone: The Mime! Any object he mimes can be manifested as a solid, but invisible construct, allowing him to create invisible weapons, walls, and even vehicles. However, he can only mime one object at a time and the previous object will disappear once he starts to mime something else. Real name: Fred Haprèle!
Ash: Fred Haprèle?! Oh no! That's Mylène's dad! Hawk Moth must've made him his newest victim!
Pikachu: [worried] PIKACHU!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [concerned] MIME MIME!
Ash: No doubt Ladybug will need my help!
Then, he dug into his backpack and pulled out the Iron Plate!
Ash: Time for Iron Boy to join in the fight!
[Transformation Sequence]
Ash: Iron Plate, [places it in his chest] activate!
Then, his clothes gained a silver color scheme and a hexagonal nut decal appeared on his cap! And when the transformation was complete, he posed like he had completed the pose for the Steel-type Z-Move!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [awed] MIME...
Ash: Glad you're impressed, Mimey! We're gonna need your help taking down Hawk Moth's latest villain!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Ash: Wanna go bust a bad guy with me?
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [smiles; honored] MIME! [salutes] MR. MIME MIME!
Ash: Awesome! Let's go go to the rescue!
Pikachu: [determined] PIKACHU!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [determined] MIME MIME!
Ash: All we gotta do is find them now!
But thanks to Pikachu's sensitive hearing, the Mouse Pokémon heard fighting going on near the Louvre!
Pikachu: [points] PIKA!
Ash: Huh? [looks where Pikachu is pointing] They must be near the Louvre! Nice job, buddy!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Our heroes rushed to the Louvre! In the streets, Adrien was in his car with Litten, Nathalie and the Gorilla. Nathalie was talking to Gabriel on the phone.
Nathalie: [on the phone] Yes, sir. Understood, sir. I'm, sure he'll understand, sir.
Adrien: My dad's flaking, isn't he? Let me guess. Something came up?
Nathalie: Yes, but he has reserved the best seats in the house for you, Adrien. Front row.
Adrien: As usual. The best money can buy.
Litten: [disappointed] LITTEN.
Suddenly, the Gorilla sees Ladybug, and hits the brakes.
Litten: [surprised] LITTEN!
Ladybug: Get out of the car and find a place to hide, I'll cover you.
Adrien stared at Ladybug, and Ladybug stared at him, both lost in thought. Suddenly, the Mime attacked them with invisible arrows.
Ash: [jumps in and blocks them with a shield] HRAH!
Ladybug: Ash!
Ash: 'Kay, Mimey! Use Focus Punch!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [Focus Punch move] MR. MIME...MIME!
That hit the Mime hard!
Ash: Nice hit, Mimey!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): MR. MIME!
Ladybug: Better late than never, Ash!
Ash: Hope I didn't miss too much!
Ladybug: It wouldn't be a party without you!
Ash: [chuckles]
Pikachu: PIKA!
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [Ice Shard move] MR. MIME!
Ash: Mimey, use Reflect!
Mimey (Mr. Mime): [Reflect move] MIME MIME!
Mimey used Reflect as a shield to protect it from the Ice Shard!
Ash: Hold on, another Mr. Mime?!
Ladybug: That's what I was saying!
Ash: It looks like a different form! [pulls out his Rotom Phone]
Rotom Phone: Mr. Mime, Galarian Form, the Barrier Pokémon. An Ice and Psychic-type. Its talent is tap-dancing. It can also manipulate temperatures to create a floor of ice, which this Pokémon can kick up to use as a barrier.
Ash: So that's a Galarian Form Mr. Mime!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Ladybug: But how is it the same species when they're different types?
Ash: I believe this is what's called a Regional Variant! They're common in some Pokémon! They're mainly from the Alola and Galar Regions!
Ladybug: I see!
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [Ice Punch move] MIME MIME MIME!
Ash: Dodge it!
Mimey (Mr. Mime): [dodges] MIME!
Ash: Pikachu, use Iron Tail!
Pikachu: [Iron Tail move] CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUU...PIKA!
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [hit] MIME!
The Mime began to fire more invisible arrows, but Ladybug dodged while Ash blocked with his shield. Nathalie, the Gorilla, and Adrien took the chance to get out of the car and run, but he had other plans and went to hide.
Adrien: [returns Litten to its PokéBall] We gotta transform [lets Plagg out of his jacket] now, Plagg.
Plagg: I thought I was gonna be a spectator, not a performer. What about the show?
Adrien: No time.
[Transformation Sequence]
Adrien: Plagg, claws out!
Then, Adrien transformed into Cat Noir! Meanwhile, the Mime was still throwing arrows at Ladybug and Ash, but they dodged them, and Ladybug managed to crush the Mime's invisible bow with her yo-yo.
Ash: Nice shot, Ladybug! Now, Mimey, use Focus Punch!
Mimey (Mr. Mime): [Focus Punch move] MR. MIME! MIME MIME!
That hit Mime and the Galarian Mr. Mime hard!
Ash: Nice one!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): MR. MIME!
But the Mime opened an invisible box, and took out an invisible bazooka from it.
Ash: Now it's a bazooka?! Well... [creates a bazooka of his own] Two can play at that game!
But then, the Mime fired an invisible rocket!
Ash: INCOMING!
Ladybug and Ash: [dodges] WAH!/Ying.
[explosion]
Luckily, no one was hurt, but the Mime ended up blowing up a car!
Ladybug and Ash: Whoa.
Pikachu: PIKA.
Mimey (Mr. Mime): MIME MIME.
Ash: Looks like we need to fight fire with fire! [aiming his bazooka] Fire in the hole! [launches a rocket]
But the Mime dodged it! Ash ended up blowing up another car!
Ash: [cringes] Oops.
Pikachu: [shocked] PIKACHU!
Ladybug: [sarcastically] Way to take a page out of his book, Metal Man.
Ash: It was an accident! Your Miraculous Ladybug will fix it!
Ladybug: You just need better aim.
Ash: [groans]
Pikachu: [comforting Ash] PIKA PIKA.
The Mime mimicked a whip, and used it to grab Ladybug, as Hawk Moth telepathically communicated with the Mime.
Hawk Moth: Grab her Miraculous, the earrings! Now!
The Mime used the invisible whip to pull Ladybug over in order to grab her Miraculous!
Ash: Ladybug! Quick, Mimey, use Psychic!
Mimey (Mr. Mime): [Psychic move] MIME...
Ladybug was being levitated, but Mime pulled back! Then, Mimey and the Mime started having a tug-of-war!
But then, Cat Noir arrived and pushed the Mime away with his staff!
Cat Noir: Keep those hands to yourself, clown!
Ash: Alright, Cat Noir!
Pikachu: [happy] PIKA PIKA!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [awed] MIME!
Cat Noir: It's okay, I've got this. [charges in]
Ladybug: My pleasure, Cat Noir...
Ash: Go get 'im!
Cat Noir was about to fight the Mime, but the Mime mimicked a cell and locked Cat Noir, Ladybug, and Ash in it.
Ash: What the?!
Pikachu: PIKA?!
Ash: Hey! What's the big idea?!
Ash and Cat Noir tried to break free, but the invisible bars wouldn't budge, much to the Mime's amusement, as he tipped his hat and walked away!
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [waves goodbye; saying "Toodaloo!"] MIME MIME MIME! [walks away with the Mime]
Ash: Hey! You can't do this to us! Where would get this stuff?! Come back and fight like a mime man! I'd take on you and your whole invisible menagerie!
Ladybug: Apparently, not seeing is believing.
Cat Noir: We can't let him go like that!
Ash: Well, we're trapped like flies in a spider's web!
Cat Noir: Not for long!
Cat Noir walked to the other side of the cell they were trapped in. However, the Mime mimicked a set of car keys, got into an invisible car, and drove off with the Galarian Mr. Mime, as the invisible cell disappeared.
Ash: [feeling that the cell is gone] Ladybug, I think it's gone!
Ladybug: [with a teasing look] Really now? How'd you figure that out?
Ash: [pouts] Well excuse me! [eyes widen in realization; turns to Cat Noir] Cat Noir, wait!
Ladybug: No, wait, don't!
Cat Noir charged and instead of hitting an invisible wall, he ran into nothing and fell forward.
Cat Noir: There, I did it.
Ash: Yeah, no you didn't.
Ladybug: I wish you did. When he started miming the car, the bars disappeared.
Ash: [with a teasing look] Gee, was it that obvious?
Ladybug: Oh, hush, you!
Ash: [chuckles] Well, at least we know that one of his weaknesses is that he can only mime one object to exist!
Ladybug: True! True! But that doesn't change the fact that he isn't alone!
Ash: Yeah, you're right!
Cat Noir: So I guess that means we're dealing with double the mime then, huh?
Ash: 'Fraid so! Only one of the mimes likes to do a little tap dancing! Which is why we're fighting mime with mime!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [determined] MR. MIME!
Cat Noir: Uh... Can your mime even battle?
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [grins sinisterly; chuckles] MIME MIME MIME!
Ash: Does that look answer your question, Cat?
Pikachu: PIKACHU?
Cat Noir: [a bit creeped out] Uh... Sure.
Ladybug: [chuckles]
Ash: But the question remains; How did Mr. Haprèle get akumatized in the first place and why?
Pikachu: PIKACHU...
Then, Ash saw the sign for the show Fred's starring in! That was when Ash started to process his thinking and piece together the puzzling thought together!
Ash: [figures it out] Hang on! [hops up onto a fountain; smacks his hands together; points up into the air] A bolt of brilliance!
[water sprays]
Ladybug: Did you figure it out?
Ash: I know how Mr. Haprèle got akumatized! It must have something to do with one of the members of his troupe for the play!
Cat Noir: His troupe?
Ash: Think about it! What kind of person do you have when the main person playing the starring role of something is not around and you need a different person to fill in for him?
Pikachu: [looks up at Ash] PIKA?
Ladybug: An understudy.
Ash: Bingo! I think Mr. Haprèle's understudy must've tricked him into changing the meet up location for his bus so he would miss it so the understudy can take his starring role!
Pikachu: [realizing] PIKACHU!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [snaps its fingers in realization] MR. MIME!
Cat Noir: Buddy, sometimes you both shock, amaze and leave me speechless at how you come up with these ideas.
Ash: It's just instinct! I honestly surprise myself!
Pikachu: PIKA?
Ash: There's no time to lose! We gotta catch up with the Mime!
Ladybug: But how?
Ash: Never fear! Ash is here! [uses his metal powers and creates a Pika-Powered motorcycle with two sidecars; hops on and straps on a helmet] You two coming or what?
Cat Noir grinned and hopped into one of the sidecars!
Cat Noir: Don't have to tell me twice!
Ash: Come on, Ladybug! Let's go!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [getting into the other sidecar] MIME!
Cat Noir: [smirks] Looks like you and I will have to share a seat, m'lady!
Ladybug: Oh joy.
Then, she climbed into the sidecar! And she sat in front of Cat Noir!
Ash: Let's ride!
Ladybug: Are you sure you know how to drive this thing?
Ash: Sure! How hard could it be? Now, Pikachu! Give us some Pika Power!
Pikachu: [nods determinedly] PIKACHU!
Then, with a Thunderbolt power supply, the motorcycle gained power and Ash revved the motorcycle and they rode off!
["Who's That Pokémon?" time]
[as a magnifying glass shows an eye on a white face and blue hair sticking out with Pikachu standing by a PokéBall]
Ash: Who's that Pokémon?
[as the Pokémon reveals to be Galarian Mr. Mime]
Pikachu: PIKA?
Mr. Mime (Galarian): MR. MIME MIME!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
[End]
Ash's motorbike was in pursuit of the Mime's invisible car!
Ash: There he is!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Cat Noir: What's the plan?
Ash: When we get close enough, jump onto the car!
Ladybug: [nods] Okay! Think you can get us close enough?
Ash: [smirks] That a trick question? I sure can! Hang on!
Ash sped up, getting close enough behind the invisible car!
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [turns around] MIME? [shocked] MIME?!
The Mime looked back and saw the heroes on a motorbike!
Ash: JUMP!
Then, Ladybug and Cat Noir jumped up and landed on the roof of Mime's car!
Cat Noir: Nice ride, but if I were you, I would have at least made it a convertible.
Ash: [rides up alongside] Pull over, Mime!
Pikachu: [cheeks sparking threateningly] PIKACHU!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [battle stance] MIME MIME MIME!
Mime: [mimes "Mr. Mime! Ice Shard!"]
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [Ice Shard move] MIME...MR. MIME!
Ladybug: [hit] OW!
Cat Noir: [hit] Hey! This isn't a snowball fight! Quit giving us the cold shoulder!
Ash: You're outnumbered, Mime!
Pikachu: [agreeing; cheeks sparking wildly] PIKACHU!
But Mime didn't stop, nor did he care! The Mime was following the bus that the theater troupe was in!
Ladybug: He's after that bus!
Ash: The theater troupe! We gotta stop him!
But the Mime had other plans, which involved him and the Galarian Mr. Mime jumping out of the invisible car!
Ladybug: Where is he going?
Ash: I don't know, but don't look now! No one's driving the car!
Ladybug: Say what?!
He was right! Nobody was driving!
Ladybug: We gotta stop this thing! [jumps into the driver's seat]
Cat Noir: Slam down on the brake!
Ladybug: What brake?
Ash: [creates a pair of x-ray goggles; uses them; looks for the brakes]
Cat Noir: X-ray goggles?!
Ladybug: Whoa!
However, they were getting close to a woman and a child crossing the street!
Ash: [gasps; searching for the brakes quickly] Come on, come on! [finds them; points] There! To your left, Ladybug!
Ladybug: Okay!
Once she hit the invisible brakes, the invisible car began to slow down, but they were getting closer to the woman and her child!
Ash: [takes out a PokéBall] Gengar, come out [tosses the PokéBall] and use Ice Punch!
Gengar: [appearing] GENGAR! [Ice Punch move] GEN...GAR!
Gengar's icy fist hit the ground, as an ice slope began to form, allowing the invisible car to come to a complete stop.
Ash: Phew! That was close!
Pikachu: [relieved] PIKACHU.
Ladybug: Too close! Nice going, Gengar!
Gengar: [gives a thumbs up] GENGAR!
Then, the woman grabbed her child and ran off in fear!
Cat Noir: Not bad, for driving an invisible car, 'course, they'll never believe us if we tell them we just saved their lives.
Ash: What matters is that they're safe and sound!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Ladybug: Yeah!
Ash: But what happened to that evil mime duo?
The Mime mimes that he's putting on a helmet, and rides a motorcycle with the Galarian Mr. Mime riding behind him.
Ash: Hey! They're getting away!
Ladybug: He's already off again! We gotta catch up with the bus before he does!
Ash: Leave it to me! Hop on!
Ladybug was about to hop on, but Cat Noir hangs her on his shoulder.
Ladybug: What do you think you're doing?
Cat Noir: Good thing you have friends in high places. [to Ash] You go on ahead, buddy! We'll catch up!
Ash: Uh... Okay. [to Pikachu, Mimey, and Gengar] Let's go, you guys!
Pikachu and Mimey fastened themselves in and Ash rode away with Gengar following!
Cat Noir: Hold on!
Then, he used his staff to elevate Ladybug and himself up to the sky!
Ladybug: I could have done this on my own.
Cat Noir: But we're the cat-and-bug team, remember?
Ladybug: Bug-and-cat team, you mean. Plus our little sidekick. Now drop me off over [points down] there.
Cat Noir: Get ready!
Then he used his staff to drop him and Ladybug onto where the bus is! Just as Ash caught up to the bus!
Ash: There you guys are!
Ladybug: We just got here!
Ash: [sees the Mime closing in] And so is someone else!
Cat Noir: Where could the Akuma be?
Ladybug: Inside his hat!
Cat Noir: How'd you know that?
Ladybug: I have hidden talents. Trust me on this one.
Ash: Hmm... there was also a picture of Mylène in the pocket inside his hat!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PI!
Ash: My hunch is it's in the photo!
Ladybug: Great thinking, Ash!
Cat Noir: The photo it is then!
Ash: We'll go for both the hat and the photo! Or as that saying goes, "kill two birds with one stone"!
Cat Noir: Two for the price of one!
Ladybug used her yo-yo to make a net, but the Mime dodged the net and jumped on the bus with the Galarian Mr. Mime.
Ash: Uh oh! That's not good!
Then, the Mime drew an invisible sword!
Ladybug: You gotta distract him.
Cat Noir: Gotcha.
Ash: Gengar, help Cat Noir!
Gengar: [grins] GENGAR!
Gengar did just that! Cat Noir and Gengar began to distract the Mime!
Gengar: [Shadow Ball move] GEN...GAR!
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [hit] MIME!
Cat Noir and the Mime clashed against each other with their weapons! Ladybug tries to reach his hat, but the Mime notices and attacks her. Ladybug dodges, Cat Noir knocks the Mime off the bus, but Ladybug grabs his hand to prevent him from falling off the bus.
Ash: Quick, Mimey! Get the hat with Psychic!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [Psychic move] MIME...
Mimey started levitating it, but the Mime noticed this and grabbed the hat and began to pull back!
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [Ice Shard move] MIME MIME MIME!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [hit] MR. MIME!
Ash: Mimey! Pikachu, use Iron Tail!
Pikachu: [Iron Tail move] CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU...PIKA!
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [hit] MIME!
Inside the bus, Chris saw the Mime hit himself against the window.
Chris: Fred?
Hawk Moth: The Miraculous! Grab her earring!
Ash: No!
Luckily, Ladybug pulled herself away!
Ash: Phew.
Ladybug: His hat! Grab his hat!
Cat Noir: Look out!
The Mime attacks her with an invisible sledgehammer, but Ladybug dodged and the Mime fell off the bus landing onto a car. He mimicked a chainsaw to saw the ceiling of the car open.
Ash: A chainsaw? Really?
Once he got in, he landed in the passenger seat and motioned the driver to go, which he complied fearfully.
Ash: He's stealing a car!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): MIME!
Ladybug: We got to get the passengers to safety!
Cat Noir: Can I lend a helping paw?
Ladybug: Yeah, cover me! [runs ahead]
Cat Noir: [takes out and wields his staff] Hurry up, my lady!
Ash: Gengar, try to hold the Galarian Mr. Mime off! I'm going with Ladybug! [speeds ahead]
Gengar: [salutes] GENGAR!
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [Ice Shard move] MIME MIME!
Gengar: [Psychic move] GENGAR!
The Ice Shards were stopped in midair and Gengar hurled them back at the Galarian Mr. Mime!
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [pained] MIME, MIME, MIME!
Gengar: [Shadow Ball move] GEN...GAR!
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [dodges] MIME! [jumps backwards and lands in the car with the Mime] MR. MIME!
Gengar: [shocked] GAR?!
Cat Noir: Nuts to that, huh, Gengar?
Gengar: [stomping its foot in anger] GEN GEN GEN GEN GEN!
Cat Noir: Hey! Take it easy, Gengar! You're not trying to learn Stomping Tantrum!
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [Ice Shard move] MIME MIME MIME MIME!
Gengar: [hit] GENGAR!
Cat Noir: [hit] Ow! Hey! I already told you! This is not a snowball fight!
With Ladybug, she managed to enter the bus.
Ladybug: Ash! Jump on while you have the chance!
Ash: But what about the motorbike?
Ladybug: We need to get the passengers to safety! Come on!
Ash: Uh... Right!
Taking a steady stance, Ash and Pikachu hopped off the motorbike and into the bus! So did Mimey!
Ash: Wow! We made it!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Ladybug: [to the driver] Stop the bus!
Sarah: Ladybug, what's happening?
Ladybug: One of your actors has been akumatized, and for some reason, he's seemed to be heading in for your troupe!
Sarah: Fred?
Ash: Yeah! It has to do with his lead role in tonight's play!
Meanwhile, the Mime heads for the bus, and throws arrows at Cat Noir, but he dodges them with his staff!
Gengar: [Shadow Ball move] GEN...GAR!
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [Light Screen move] MIME MIME!
Gengar: [Ice Punch move] GEN...GAR!
Light Screen protected the Galarian Mr. Mime from the damage of Gengar's Ice Punch!
Cat Noir: That's what I call strong defense!
One of the Mime's arrows pinches and pops a wheel of the bus, making it out of control.
Ash: YEOW! We got a puncture!
Ash, Ladybug, and the people were being tossed around inside the bus! Luckily, Cat Noir was able to stop the bus in time by extending his staff across a pair of lampposts near the Eiffel Tower, stopping the bus cold. Thankfully, no one was hurt! But Ladybug had landed in Ash's lap!
Ash: [smiles cheekily] You sure look comfy, Ladybug!
Ladybug: [blushes] Oh, don't you go pulling a Cat Noir!
Ash: [chuckles; helps her up] I'm just kidding!
Ladybug: Stay inside and don't panic. We'll get this under control.
Chris: [desperate] Ladybug, I know why he's after us. I took his role from him. But he can perform instead of me! I don't care anymore! Please, just keep us all safe...
Sarah: What do you mean you took his role from him? He lost it!
Chris: Not exactly. There's something I have to tell you.
Ash: No need! You tricked Fred into believing the location for the bus changed so that he wouldn't show and you could take the starring role from him!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Chris: How... How did you know?
Ash: Natural instinct of mine!
Sarah: That's why he didn't show up?! [glares at Chris] I cannot believe you, Chris! I expected better from you!
Ash: Now now! His punishment will come later! Right now, we have more pressing matters to attend to!
And he was right! The Mime had reached the bus and found Cat Noir, as the two of them fought. As for Gengar, it was tussling with the Galarian Mr. Mime!
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [dodging by tap dancing; grins] MIME MIME! MR. MIME!
Gengar: [Ice Punch move] GENGAR! GENGAR!
But the Galarian Mr. Mime kept dodging with ease!
Gengar: [Night Shade move] GEN...GAR!
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [pained] MIME!
Gengar: [smirks] GEN!
Ash: There they are!
Ladybug: We gotta help them!
They ran out of the bus, just as the Mime had Cat Noir pinned to the ground!
Ash: Quick, Mimey! Use Focus Punch!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [Focus Punch move] MIME...
However, the Mime held an invisible blade towards the heroes, telling them not to come any closer!
Ash: [growls] You coward!
Hawk Moth: His Miraculous is within your reach! I want his ring!
The Mime was about to take the ring from him, but Ladybug tied his hand with her yo-yo!
Ash: [jumps onto Mime's back; tries to strangle him from behind] Don't you dare hurt my friend or take his Miraculous!
Mime: [throws him off]
Ash: WAH! [hits the ground] OW! Oh yeah?! Mimey, use Focus Punch!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [Focus Punch move] MIME...MR. MIME!
That hit the Mime hard! But then, he mimed an invisible chain and wrapped it around Ash!
Ash: [gasps] Hey! You let me go! [struggling to break free; grunts]
Hawk Moth: [through the light mask] Perfect, Mime! Now, bring him to me!
The Mime began to advance towards Ash!
Ash: Oh no! HELP ME!
Pikachu: [worried] PIKA PI!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [worried] MIME MIME!
Gengar: [worried] GENGAR GEN!
Ladybug: Ash, no!
Then, Cat Noir knocked the Mime away with his staff!
Cat Noir: Hands off of our little buddy! [kicks the Mime in the face] HRAH!
Mime: [grunts in pain]
Then, the invisible chains disappeared from Ash!
Ash: Phew! Thanks for the save, Cat!
Pikachu: [relieved] PIKA PI.
Cat Noir: No problem, buddy!
Ash: Hey, if he talks or makes any noise from his mouth, whatever he mimes disappears!
Cat Noir: You're right!
Ladybug: Nice work, kitty!
Ash: Yeah! I owe ya one!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Cat Noir: Don't mention it, bud!
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [Ice Shard move] MIME MIME MIME MIME!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [Reflect move] MIME MIME!
The Reflect acted as a shield, making the Ice Shards bounce off!
Ash: Thanks, Mimey!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [grins; gives Ash a thumbs up] MIME MIME!
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [Ice Punch move] MIME...
Ash: [takes out a PokéBall and tosses it] Infernape, use Flamethrower!
Infernape: [appearing; Flamethrower move] IN...FERNAPE!
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [pained] MIME!
Ash: Since the Galarian Mr. Mime is also part Ice-type, Fire-types have the upper hand against them!
Ladybug: Perfect!
Ash: Now, Gengar! Infernape! Super Teamwork Combo: Flaming Shadow Ball!
Infernape: [Flamethrower move] IN...FERNAPE!
Gengar: [Shadow Ball move] GEN...GAR!
Both attacks combined and hit the Galarian Mr. Mime!
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [pained] MR. MIME!
That was enough to knock out the Galarian Mr. Mime!
Mr. Mime (Galarian): [dazed; swirls in eyes] MIME MIME MIME...
Ash: One mime down, one to go!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Ash: Let's get that hat!
The Mime drew an invisible sword and went on the attack!
Ash: [creates a sword] En garde!
The two of them started to clash!
Ash: I know you're upset about Chris taking your lead role, Fred! But revenge isn't the answer! You don't know what you're doing! Listen to your heart and you'll find the truth!
Ladybug tied one of the Mime's hands with her yo-yo!
Ladybug: He's right! I don't think your daughter Mylène would approve!
The Mime pulled Ladybug and kicked Ash away, then mimicking a bomb.
Ash: Wait! Bomb?!
Pikachu: PIKA?!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [panicking; flailing] MIME MIME MIME MIME!
Ash: Don't do this, Fred!
But then, he threw the bomb at our heroes and the Pokémon, but luckily, it was only strong enough to knock them down onto their bottoms.
Cat Noir: He sure brings a whole new meaning to silent but deadly.
Ash: Ya think?!
Ladybug: Ughhh... [activates her power] Lucky Charm!
And the Lucky Charm today was a shoebox, as it landed in Ladybug's hands.
Cat Noir: A shoebox? Great. There better be some explosive boots in there or something.
Ash: I highly doubt that!
Pikachu: PIKA?
But then, the Mime went on the attack again!
Ash: Here he comes!
Pikachu: [cheeks sparking wildly] PIKACHU!
Ash: You have a plan, Ladybug?
Pikachu: PIKACHU?
While Cat Noir fought the Mime, Ladybug used her thinking vision and Sarah's glasses, the bus' light, a Mime poster and the Eiffel Tower flashed in a ladybug pattern.
Ladybug: [gasps] Of course! We have to make him really angry!
Ash: Say what now?!
Ladybug: [calls out to Cat Noir] Blow his fuse!
Cat Noir: [kicks the Mime away] You don't think he's angry enough?
Ash: What are you trying to play at, Ladybug?!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Ash: He's already angry enough as it is! How is making him even more angrier gonna help in this situation?!
Ladybug: [pokes a hole in the shoebox] You'll see! Cat Noir, you're good at annoying people, do your thing!
Cat Noir: Hey!... That is true.
Ash: He even admits it.
Ladybug: Gengar, you too! Tease him all you like!
Gengar: [salutes] GENGAR! [snickers] GEN GEN GENGAR.
Ash: What should I do, Ladybug?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Ladybug: You come with me!
Ash: Got it!
Ladybug: Let's go! [runs off]
Ash: [follows] I'm right behind ya!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [Reflect move] MIME!
The Mime's attack was blocked by Mimey's Reflect!
Gengar: [Night Shade move] GEN...GAR!
Infernape: [Mach Punch move] FERNAPE!
But the Mime dodged them both! Then, he mimed a giant hammer and went on the attack!
Cat Noir: I hope Ladybug knows what she's doing.
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [leaning; places a hand on its hip; Reflect move] MR. MIME.
The Mime was starting to get annoyed by Mimey's "hiding behind a glass-like shield" act!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [smug] MIME MIME.
Cat Noir: Nice one, Mimey! How'd you come up with cool battle styles like that?
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [taps on the side of its head with its finger, as a way to say "thought process and strategy"]
Cat Noir: Ahh.
With Ash and Ladybug...
Ladybug: [takes Sarah's glasses] Gotta borrow these. [grabs the Mime poster] A box, a magnifying glass, some light... [uses the bus' light to project the Mime poster] Voilà! A homemade projector.
Ash: Nice! It's amazing what you can do when you use imagination!
Pikachu: [awed] PIKACHU!
Ash: ... Uh, what do we do with it?
Ladybug: Just watch! Hey, Mime! Nice poster, don't you think?
Ash: [whispers] What're ya doin'?
Ladybug: [whispers] Play along.
The Mime saw the poster projection of the play and he became angered!
Ash: Yeah! Too bad nobody would want a bad mime hijacking their play!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKA!
That made Mime even more angry!
Ash: [smirks; to Ladybug] Think I struck a nerve?
Ladybug: [whispers] Well don't stop.
Ash: [continues] Plus, you're WAY off the appearance like it was in the poster! If anything, you look much creepier!
Multiple red veins were appearing on Mime's face at this point! Then, he mimicked a sword and attempted to slice the projection of the poster in half!
Ash: Aww, is ol' Mimer having a wittle temper tantrum?
His "temper tantrum" ended up slicing the Eiffel Tower in half!
Ash: [goes pale] Uh, w-was that supposed to happen?
Ladybug: In a way.
Parisians nearby screamed in terror and ran off. The Mime mimicked a shield to stop the tower from falling onto him.
Ladybug: Yes! Remember, he can only mime one thing at a time.
Cat Noir: So he's cornered. Good thinking, my lady.
Ash: Mimey, use Psychic to get the hat!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [Psychic move] MIME MIME!
That levitated the hat and the Team Rocket PokéBall from the Mime!
Ash: [grabs the two things] Perfect! First to free the Galarian Mr. Mime from Team Rocket clutches! If you would with the ball, Cat Noir?
Cat Noir: [activates his power] Cataclysm! [touches the PokéBall, turning it to dust in Ash's hand]
Ladybug grabbed the photo in the hat and ripped it, releasing the Akuma.
Ladybug: [opens her yo-yo] No more evildoing for you, little Akuma. [swings her yo-yo around] Time to de-evilize! [catches the Akuma with her yo-yo] Gotcha! [releases the Akuma, turning it into a normal butterfly] Bye bye, little butterfly. [throws her Lucky Charm into the air] Miraculous Ladybug!
Then, everything was fixed and put back the way it was! The Eiffel Tower was restored just as the sun was setting, and the Mime turned back into Fred.
Fred: What happened? How did I... get here?
Ladybug, Cat Noir, and Ash: [fist bump] Pound it!
Pikachu: [joins in] PIKA!
Gengar: [joins in] GEN!
Infernape: [joins in] FERNAPE!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [joins in] MIME! [strikes a heroic pose] MR. MIME MIME.
The three heroes couldn't help but chuckle!
Sarah: [kneels down next to Fred] I'm so sorry I didn't believe [places a hand on him] you, Fred.
Chris: [holding Fred's hat] I'm sorry too. I was so desperate to perform that I lied to you about where we were meeting up.
Fred smiled and took his hat from Chris and shook his hand in forgiveness! The three heroes smiled at this!
Ash: Oh! That reminds me! The Galarian Mr. Mime! [goes over to the said Pokémon, who was still dazed; pulls out a PokéBall] Time to give you a new home in the Haprèle family! [taps it onto the Galarian Mr. Mime]
The Galarian Mr. Mime was sucked into the PokéBall! Then, with a few shakes and a 'ping'...
Rotom Phone: Mr. Mime, Galarian Form, has been registered to your Pokédex!
Ash: Perfect! [goes over to Fred] Mr. Haprèle? [presents him the PokéBall] Here! This Galarian Mr. Mime is for you! The newest addition to your family!
Fred: [gasps] R-Really? Are you sure?
Ash: Sure as sure can be! Since we freed it from Team Rocket clutches, it's in need of a new home! Plus, it could be a good friend for Mylène!
Pikachu: [jumps onto Ash's shoulder; agreeing] PIKA PIKA!
Fred: Very well! [takes the PokéBall] I will take very good care of it! Thank you so much, Ash! How can I ever repay you?
Ash: Getting on stage and making your daughter proud is good enough for me!
Fred: [smiles and nods] Of course!
Then, Ladybug's earrings began to beep!
Cat Noir: Your earrings!
Ash: You know what that means!
Ladybug: [pulls out her yo-yo] Better get going.
Cat Noir: Such a shame. I could have been your date in the play tonight. [holds his hand out] Just you and me.
Ladybug: Thanks, but I have [pushes his hand back to him] other plans.
Then, she swung away on her yo-yo, just as the Eiffel Tower lit up and Cat Noir gazed at her dreamingly!
Ash: I'm sure she'll be interested in you, someday!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Cat Noir: I'd hope so! [smirks] Speaking of which, you have a date yourself! And it's with a lady named Juleka!
Ash: Oh yeah! You're right!
That's when he heard Rose and Juleka!
Rose: Hey, Ash!
Juleka: Hey, Ashy.
Ash: [smiles] Hi, Rose! Hey, Jules!
Pikachu: [greeting] PIKA PIKA!
Rose: You excited for the show?
Ash: I sure am!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): MIME MIME!
Cat Noir: I'll leave you to your queen, buddy! Catch ya later! [leaps away]
Ash: Until next time, Cat Noir!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Ash: Anyway, you two wanna get some popcorn before the play starts?
Rose: Ooh, yes please!
Ash: Good call! It's on me!
Rose: Yay!
Juleka: Thanks, babe. You rock.
Ash: No problem, Jules! All you gotta do is… [taps his cheek]
Juleka just smiled and kisses his cheek!
Ash: [blushes; chuckles] Thanks, Jules! [holds out his arm] Let's go!
Juleka: [hugs his arm]
Then, the three of them went onward! Back at Hawk Moth's lair...
Hawk Moth: The show's not over yet, Ladybug. You just wait. There's still a last act to come when you least expect it.
Jessie: And that twerp will pay for all the Pokémon he's brought out of Team Rocket clutches!
James: And how!
Meowth: We'll toin you all into goo, twoips!
Then, the window in Hawk Moth's lair closed! Outside the Louvre, Marinette ran to grab Alya's phone out of the trashcan and was successful in doing so, despite a bit of garbage debris on the phone.
Marinette: Got it!
Marinette was relieved no serious damage had happened to it! At the Eiffel Tower, the show was about to start, and Marinette arrived to see Ash, Juleka, Rose, Alya, and Mylène sitting in the front row.
Ash: Hey, Marinette! The show's about to start!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Rose: Hurry up!
Marinette sat down next to Alya, just as Adrien was coming over!
Adrien: [waving] Ah, hey, you're here too, cool. [takes his seat next to Marinette] Thought I was gonna end up sitting by myself.
Ash: [whispers to Juleka and Rose] I made sure Marinette gets a front row seat next to Adrien.
Rose: [squeals excitedly]
Juleka: Awesome.
Ash: [snickers; looks at the fourth wall] Ain't I a stinker?
Marinette smiled widely from sitting next to her crush!
Popplio: POP POP!
Alya: Hey, did you bring my phone?
Marinette doesn't respond, still obviously entranced by Adrien, which Alya smirks knowingly as the show begins.
Ash: Ooh, it's starting.
Pikachu: [excited] PIKA PIKA.
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [excited] MIME MIME.
Then, Fred and Chris came appeared onstage and they both took a bow, as a chorus of applauds erupted from the audience. After the show, outside the theatre, Marinette was expressing to Ash and Alya her happiness seeing Adrien at the show.
Marinette: [with Popplio on her shoulder] I don't know which I loved more. The show or sitting next to my sweet Adrien!
Ash: Pretty sure you loved sitting next to your "lover boy" best!
Pikachu: [giggles] PIKA PIKACHU!
Mimey decided to have some fun! Being a mime-type Pokémon, it decided to act out Marinette's future with Adrien!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [acting like Adrien; pretending to be holding a ring box] MIME MIME! [opens the imaginary ring box] MIME MIME MR. MIME! [acting like Marinette; pretending to be giddy] MIME! MIME MIME MIME MIME-MIME MIME MIME MIME! [mimes a loving smooch scene while doing it in a lewdly way] MIME MIME MIME MIME MIME! MIME MIME MIME MIME MIME MINE MIME!
Marinette turned red in the face from what she was seeing!
Ash: [snickers] Looks like Mimey's got your fantasy/future plans all thought out! [snickers some more]
Marinette: [embarrassed] ASH!
Popplio: [tilts her head] POP POP?
Alya: Maybe you should give him a call and ask him out to a movie.
Marinette: Speaking of calling, there's something I gotta tell you, Alya. I...accidentally erased your Ladybug video on your phone, and then, when I tried to fix the problem I dropped the phone in a dumpster and now it stinks like bad, like really, really bad, and I'm sorry, so, so, so sorry. I know how much that video meant to you and I'm the lamest of friends. Lamer than lame!
Popplio: [sad; says "Sorry, Auntie Alya."] POP POP, POPPLIO.
Ash: I honestly had nothing to do with it!
Marinette: [elbows him; groans]
Alya: [laughs] Chillax, lady. If there's anyone on this earth who knows about your legendary clumsiness, it's me, your BFF!
Marinette: So... You're not angry?
Ash: Or upset?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Popplio: POP POP?
Alya: Well, you should've just come clean and told me in the first place. But no, we're cool. Besides, I uploaded the video on to my Ladyblog before I showed it to you.
Ash: Whaddya know! I had a hunch you did!
Marinette: [surprised; hugs Alya] I'm so lucky to have a friend like you! Now that we're good, you probably don't care about the surprise I planned for you.
Alya: [surprised] Screw up or no screw-up, you know I love surprises!
Ash: And I happen to be full of them!
Marinette: Okay, you see that theater over there? There's something inside for you, on the stage.
Ash: Huh? What is it?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Marinette: [whispers in his ear] You'll find out soon enough.
Ash: Hm?
Alya went into the theater and looked around and saw Ladybug at the top of the stairs.
Ladybug: Hello! Alya, right?
Alya: [gasps]
Ladybug: Last time I saw you, I was in a hurry, but I've got a bit more time now if you want to interview me for your Ladyblog.
Alya: [gasps again] No... Seriously? Do I? Do I?! [runs to her excitedly]
Ladybug: Have a seat.
The both of them sat down in lounge chairs as Alya began to speak.
Alya: You don't know me, but FYI, this is like the biggest moment of my life! [starts recording with her phone]
Ladybug: [chuckles]
Ash: So this was her surprise.
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA.
After the interview, Marinette rushed outside and back to the front of the theater, where she was met by Ash.
Ash: So, how'd it go?
Pikachu: PIKACHU?
Marinette: It went good! I definitely made Alya happy!
Tikki: Alya's lucky to have you as a friend too, you know!
Ash: I agree! And you were right! You definitely are full of surprises! Just like me!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [nods in agreement] MIME MIME! MR. MIME!
Alya exited the theater, having recorded the whole interview.
Marinette: Well? [starts jumping excitedly] Show me!
Popplio: [excited] POP POP POP!
Ash: [excited] Yeah, show us, Alya!
Pikachu: [excited] PIKA PIKA!
Marinette was about to snatch the phone when Alya pulled it away from her.
Alya: Only after I put it on my blog! There's no way I'm gonna lose this video!
Marinette: [tries to grab the phone] Hey!
Ash: [tries to grab the phone] Let us see!
Marinette, Ash, and Alya: [laugh]
Pikachu: [laughs] PIKACHU!
Popplio: [laughs] POP POP POPPLIO!
Mr. Mime (Mimey): [laughs] MIME MIME!
The scene ends with Marinette and Ash running after Alya while laughing, Ladybug and the Mime's heads facing opposite directions from each other, Ash riding the motorbike with Pikachu, and both forms of Mr. Mime squaring up against each other!
Narrator: I guess all's well that ends well when it comes to true friendship! In order to fight a mime, you apparently need to use another one to do so! What challenges will our heroes face next? The answers to come, as the journey continues!
