It all started with a twinkle in the eyes back February 1983, then I started life on
October, 12 1983, I was eager so I hurried into life in this world. To this day I am always in a hurry. Mom was still pretty young only 24 and two kids. That might be why she is so determined to get me married, settle down and start life, you know grow up. As she sees it, I think you will see why that is probably her dream and not mine so much.
It started when I was one
I had my first birthday OK no big achievement, also I thought it was a big deal at the time. It's a little foggy, but I think that birthday was great.
It was pretty exciting after that. Crawling, walking (sort of), running everywhere. It was fun! When I could run everywhere and found all kinds of stuff that was 'no no'
I was almost four when Mom begged them to let me into kindergarten. I had so much fun. I kind of remember some activities, like run away from monster (teacher), puddle jumping, even snowballs. That was good stuff, lots more but that was the best. It all worked at home too, Yay.
So anyway, then went into real school.
6 1st five year My next five years started in 1989, when I was six, that summer choo choo was invented. I discovered this from Joe Morelli, I thought it was fun, although but I thought Joe should have let me play the train. Boy was Mom mad about that, I found out that was another 'no no' I thought done with 'no no' but I guess not.
Stay away from those Morelli boys I was told. Ha, not gonna happen I thought, but it was nice to have a warning I suppose.
Even when I was a kid I had a pushed the boundaries of common sense and normal behavior. I walked into the boys' bathroom in grade school because I was convinced I was invisible. I jumped off the roof of my parents' garage because I thought I could fly. And that was the tip of the iceberg.
I wanted to be a reindeer, like Santa's reindeer, they could fly. Then Mom took Val, Mary-Lou and I to see Peter Pan. Mary-Lou and Val wanted to grow up, get boobage date boys and go steady. Just like all the little girls in the burg. But I wanted to fly like Peter Pan that was until I discovered Wonder Woman. She has major boobage bursting from a sexy Wondersuit, big bracelets big hair and kickass boots and a cape. Plus she could fly, always a plus in my book. I tried flying when I jumped off the garage roof, but sadly it didn't work. It seemed like all the burg girls liked Barbie, but Wonder Woman was Barbie on steroids. Wonder Woman is my idol to this day. I still hope I will look like yer, I already have big curly hair cool boots but not much else.
2nd five year
11 2nd Then five years after I was eleven and experienced a historic event. My first kiss! That's a big deal, I mean a really really big deal. I thought I was in love. I was wrong, I still know him, he Married my cousin Shirley. It didn't really break my heart. There were lots of other boys. By the time he got married I had moved on, he's married to my cousin Shirley the whiner.
16 3rd five year Ahhh, sweet sixteen, 2000 another accomplishment we are almost grownup. Mary-Lou and I discovered boys. We practiced hair and make up together, practiced flirting that has come in handy many times.
Dad used to love the Eagles so we heard it a lot when we were kids and high school. Mary-Lou and I thought some of it was cool. So we practiced what we thought it meant. After the flirting practice we would try various smiles. We thought we could get men to open doors with a smile.
Then I figured out escaping from the bathroom window. I dreamed I was running to a boy who was waiting, fall into his arms and share passion, pretty goofy but some of those songs inspired some odd behavior. Probably Mom probably knew and was rolling her eyes. All through high school Mary-Lou and I loved the boys. She even found one 'Lenny' and fell in love.
Amazingly even with all that I hung on to virginity until Joe Morelli came around again.
I graduated early,I had started school young and managed to end early too. Mom had a big big party, even bigger deal was I had a job at the tasty pastry. It was fantastic job one of my favorites to this day. Anyway I was working night shift and Joe
Morelli came sauntering I or maybe it was swaggering. I was pretty flustered he was was most handsome guy I knew. He wanted some cannoli, he said the sweet kind with a soft creamy inside. I was sure I was in love him, I guess back then I thought first kiss was love but for sure virginity was love, at least boyfriend right. night shift and Joe Morelli came sauntering I or maybe it was swaggering. Sadly it was not to be, leaving town the next day impacted that relationship. He decided on a different relationship with the navy. But all was good, I accidentally jumped a curb and broke his leg a couple years later, oops. Not like I hold a grudge.
When I was eighteen I got a job working a hot dog stand on the boardwalk on the Jersey shore. I worked the last shift at Dave's Dogs, and I was supposed up for the day crew. But my reward was reward was days off to do anything I wanted, usually work on my tan. Great summer, lay in sun by day then cook hot dogs by night. It doesn't get much better than that.
On to the next chapter of my life. I'm pretty much a grown up.
Mary Lou and I decided we wanted to go Douglas college, up in Princeton. Close to family but far enough away to not too close. In college we need to kick back and have fun.
