Chapter 22: A Prehistoric Awakening!
Route 11
The sun shined bright on a clear, sunny day. Sounds of Fearow and Pidgeot flocks flew around in the sky; flying over the area as people and Pokémon wandered about. As they roamed, the group and I walked around together and saw the sight of the area. "Whoa... this one's pretty huge." said Pat. "Yeah. I wonder what kinds of Pokémon live around here?" Sora replied. "Let's go find out." he replied. Sora nodded his head in agreement, and then they went to search for some Pokémon. We turned to our right, saw what they were doing, and then followed them silently. They crouched down to the grass, crawled a little bit, looked up, and saw two Pokémon looking at each other. "Whoa... check it out. It's a Magnemite." said Sora. "Yeah. But? Who's that Pokémon staring at it?" Pat replied. "That's a Drowzee." he replied. "A Drowzee?" Pat replied curiously as he took out his Phone and activated his PokéDex. "Drowzee, the Hypnosis Pokémon. A Psychic type. When it twitches its nose, it can tell where someone is sleeping and what that person is dreaming about. It remembers every dream it eats. It rarely eats the dreams of adults because children's are much tastier." said Pat's PokéDex.
Pat and Sora's eyes widened in fear to the entry for a moment, and then saw Magnemite begin to fly away. "Oh no you don't." said Pat as he began to stand up. "Huh!? Hey! Pat! What are you doing!?" Sora replied worriedly. "I'm going to catch it! PokéBall, go!" he replied as he threw the PokéBall at Magnemite, watched it touch it, and begin the capture process. The Ball closed, landed by his feet, shook three times, and then made a dinging sound; confirming the capture. "Magnemite has been registered to your PokéDex." said Pat's PokéDex. "Yes!" Pat replied happily. He picked up the PokéBall, and raised it up in the air. "Alright! I caught a Magnemite!" he said proudly. As he celebrated, Drowzee stared at him intensely, and began to use Hypnosis on him. Once Sora saw this, he turned to Pat in fear. "Munchlax! Get Pat out of the way! Quick!" he said. "Munchlax! Munch-lax!" Munchlax replied as he forced Pat out of the way; keeping him out of range from Drowzee's attack. "Ow! What was that for!?" Pat asked.
"That was for getting you out of the way from Drowzee!" he replied. "Huh!? Why? What was it doing?" Pat replied. "It was trying to put you to sleep!" he replied. Pat's eyes widened in shock, and then they looked at Drowzee. "Drowzee. Drow-zee!" said Drowzee as it began to attack. "Munchlax! Stop Drowzee with Bite!" Sora replied. "Munchlax! Munch-lax!" Munchlax replied as he used the attack; biting onto Drowzee's hand. "Drow!? Drow! Drow-Drowzee! Drowzee!" Drowzee replied in shock; trying to shake him off. Pat stood up, looked at Munchlax, and then prepared himself to battle. "Okay, Magnemite! Help him out! Use Thunder Wave!" he said as he threw Magnemite's Ball, watched it open, and saw it appear. "Magnemite. Mag-ne-mite!" said Magnemite as it used the attack on Drowzee; paralyzing it. "Thanks, Pat." Sora replied. "No problem." he replied. After that, Drowzee tried to attack again, but it couldn't move from the paralysis. "Nice! It's working!" he said.
"Yep. Now it makes it easier to do this! PokéBall, go!" Sora replied as he took out a PokéBall, and threw it at Drowzee. "Drow? Drowzee?" Drowzee replied as it was touched by the PokéBall and began the capture process. It close a moment later, landed on the grass, shook three times, and made a dinging sound; confirming the capture. "Drowzee was registered to your PokéDex." said Sora's PokéDex. Both boys celebrated happily to this, and then Sora raised the new PokéBall up in the air. "Alright! I caught a Drowzee!" he said. "Munch-Munchlax!" Munchlax cheered. "Congrats, Sora." Pat replied. "Thanks. And... thank you for helping me out against it." he replied. "No problem. After all, you're the one who saved me from it. So I had to help you out and make it even." Pat replied. "Make what even?" replied a voice. They jumped in shock, and saw us behind them. "Geez... did you have to scare us?" he asked us. "No? We were just wondering what you were doing. That's all." Zuzu replied.
"Oh..? Okay. Well... we caught ourselves new Pokémon for our teams." he replied. "We saw. Congrats on the catches, boys." Celina replied. "Thank you." they replied. We smiled warmly at them, and then we heard a digging sound nearby. "Huh? What was that?" said Zach. "I don't know? Let's go check it out." Yuya replied. "Right." he replied. After that, we went over to where we heard the digging, and then saw a Pokémon pop out from the ground. "Diglett-Dig!" said the Pokémon. "Whoa! There it is! That's a Diglett!" Yuya replied. "I'll check it out in the PokéDex." Zuzu replied as she took out her Phone and activated her PokéDex. "Diglett, the Mole Pokémon. A Ground type. It burrows through the ground at a shallow depth. It leaves raised earth in its wake, making it easy to spot. If a Diglett digs through a field, it leaves the soil perfectly tilled and ideal for planting crops." said Zuzu's PokéDex. "Wow. It must be the perfect Pokémon to have help you in the gardening business." Zach replied.
We nodded our heads in agreement, and then we saw Diglett moving away from us. "Hey! Where are you going, Diglett?" Sora replied as he began to follow it. "Munch!" Munchlax replied as he followed his Trainer. "Come on. Let's follow them." Celina replied. "Right." we replied. After that we followed their lead; wondering where they are going.
Diglett's Cave- Entrance
"Diglett-Dig! Diglett-Dig! Diglett-Dig!" said Diglett as it moved through the ground, and then poke its head out; looking at the cave in front of it. "Dig! Dig-Diglett-Dig!" it said happily. As it cheered to itself, we appeared behind it, and then watched it go inside the cave. "There it goes! It went in that cave!" said Sora. "Hold up. Look at the sign." I replied. We looked at the sign, and saw that we found Diglett's Cave for the first time. "We found it. Diglett's Cave." said Zach. "Yep." Pat replied. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go inside and train in there for a bit." Sora replied. "Sure. A little training won't hurt, right Nidoran?" Celina replied. "Ran!" Nidoran replied happily. After that, we went inside the cave together.
Inside Diglett's Cave
We turned on our flashlights, and began walking around the cave together; seeing many Diglett pop out of the ground and interact with each other. "Whoa... look at them. They're working as a giant unit." said Pat as he took photos of the wild Pokémon. "Mhm. But... is it really true that they made this cave?" Celina replied. "Huh? What do you mean by that, Celina?" he replied curiously. She walked over to him, put her arm around his shoulders, and showed him a a new entry for Diglett from her PokéDex. "See here on my PokéDex? It says that Diglett make their hones from burrows that Onix make. Do you think its possible that this cave was truly made by an Onix a long time ago, and all the Diglett and Dugtrio made this place their home?" she asked him. "Yeah... that would seem to be the case." he replied as he tried to hide the blush forming on his face.
He blinked his eyes, looked at me and Zach, and saw the dirtiest smirks on our faces; making him embarrassed. "Guys! Really?" he said to us. "What? What did we do?" Zach replied. "Oh cut the crap! I saw the smirks you two were making!" he replied as he pointed at him and I. "What smirks?" I replied. "Taylor, I swear-" he replied. "Okay! That's enough!" Zuzu replied as she took out her paper fan and hit him in the back of the head. "Ow!" he replied. "Uh... what just happened?" Celina replied. "It's best that you don't know." Zuzu replied. "Uh... okay?" she replied. After that, we resumed our walk and continued our research on Diglett. As we walked around, I saw a empty cave nearby. I looked at the group as took photos and videos, and then quietly walked away from them. I walked inside the cave, put down my flashlight, took off my bag, and opened it.
"Pi? Pika-chu?" Tetrax asked me. "I'm just looking for something, Tet." I replied. He blinked his eyes curiously at me, and then sat down on the ground; wondering what I am trying to find. A moment later, I took out the Dome Fossil and Old Amber we had found in Pewter City. "Ah ha. There they are." I said. "Pi? Pi-Pika-Pi?" he replied curiously. "Mhm. I was looking for them. I think it's time that we wake them up from their long slumber." I replied. "Pika!?" he replied surprised. I nodded my head yes to his response, looked up at the giant ceiling, and then gently put the two Fossils down on the ground. "Pika-chu..." he said worriedly. Once I heard the tone in his voice... I knew that he was worried of what I'm trying to do. I turned to him, gently picked him up, and then hugged him; patting him for comfort. "I know, sweetheart. I know. You're worried that they might attack me after I wake them up, right?" I asked him. "Pika-Pi." he replied worriedly.
I hugged him a little tighter for a moment, kissed his head, and then gently put him back down on the ground. "Well... I promise you that they won't attack. When they wake up, I'll quickly use these two PokéBalls here to catch them before they do anything that can harm us." I said. He blinked his eyes, and nodded his head in understanding; making me nod my head back to him. We looked back at the Fossils silently, and then I began to use my powers on them; beginning to wake them up. The Fossils began to glow brightly for a moment, and then fully formed into two Pokémon a few moments later. I stopped using my powers as we saw the Pokémon appear, and I quickly threw the PokéBalls at them; beginning the capture process. The Balls closed, gently landed on the ground, and began to shake.
Tetrax and I crossed our fingers silently as they shook; praying that the idea worked. After one final shake, they both made a dinging sound; confirming the captures. "Kabuto and Aerodactyl have been registered to your PokéDex." said my Phone. "Yes! It worked! The plan worked! We caught Kabuto and Aerodactyl!" I replied happily. "Pi-Pikachu!" Tetrax replied happily. We celebrated happily together, and then sent out both Kabuto and Aerodactyl for the first time. "Ka-bu-to." said Kabuto. "Aer? Aero." Aerodactyl replied. "Pi-ka..." Tetrax replied in awe. "Wow..." I replied. I took out my Phone and activated my PokéDex. "Kabuto, the Shellfish Pokémon. A Rock and Water type. It is thought to have inhabited beaches 300 million years ago. It is protected by a stiff shell. Kabuto molt every three days, making their shells harder and harder. Aerodactyl, the Fossil Pokémon. A Rock and Flying type. It flew through the open skies over the ancient continent as if they were its own. When it touched ground, its walk was weak and slow. Aerodactyl's sawlike fangs can shred skin to tatters—even the skin of Steel-type Pokémon." said my PokéDex.
They stared at us curiously, and sensed my energy; knowing that I am the one who brought them back to life. They looked around the cave for a moment, and then got closer to us. "Hey there, Kabuto. Aerodactyl. I'm Taylor. And this is my partner, Tetrax. We're the ones who brought you here and back to life." I said. "Pi-ka-chu." Tetrax replied. They stared at us curiously and silently for a moment, and then let us touch them. Once they felt our touch, they began to feel warm and happy; making us happy. After that, Aerodactyl allowed the three of us onto his back, and then began to fly around the room. "Aero!" he said happily as his cry echoed through the cave.
As his cry echoed, all the Diglett began to hide in fear. "Ah! What was that!?" said Sora. "It sounded like an Aerodactyl!" Celina replied. "Aerodactyl!?" the group replied in fear. She nodded her head yes to their response. "But that's impossible! I thought that Aerodactyl are extinct!" said Pat. "Aero!" the voice echoed again. A moment later, they all saw Aerodactyl appear out of a cave entrance and fly around them. "Whoa!" said Zach. "Check it out! It's a real Aerodactyl!" Pat replied. "Aero-dactyl!" Aerodactyl replied. After that, he gently flew down to the ground, and then the group saw me on Aerodactyl's back. "What!? Tay!?" they said surprised. "Yep. Everyone, I would like to introduce to you: Kabuto and Aerodactyl." I replied. "Ka-bu!" Kabuto replied. "Aero!" Aerodactyl replied. "Tay..? How... how did you get them?" Zach asked me. "Remember the little suggestion most of you asked me when we got our Fossils in Pewter City?" I replied. After I said that, most of the group's eyes widened in shock.
"What!? No! Way! You revived them with your powers!?" said Celina surprised. I nodded my head yes to her question. "Whoa... she really did it... she actually found a way to bring them back to life... without the use of a machine... this is amazing..." said Pat. "Yeah... it sure is." Zach replied. We nodded our heads in agreement to his response, and then we heard something move some rocks around us. We turned around, and saw a big wild Pokémon appear fro the first time. "What the? Is that... a Rhydon?" said Yuya. "Yeah... it is. And it doesn't look happy to see us." Celina replied. "Don! Rhy-don!" Rhydon replied angrily as it used Rock Throw at us, and watched us dodge the attack. "Tay! Tag team with me! We can take him!" she said. "Got it!" I replied. "Okay! Fearow! Come help out!" she replied as she took our Fearow's PokéBall, threw it up in the air, watched it open, and saw him appear. "Fear-ow!" he said. Celina and Nidoran jumped up on his back, and then we went into battle together.
"Nidoran! Use Water Pulse!" she said. "You too, Kabuto! Use Water Pulse!" I replied. "Nido! Ni-do-ran!" Nidoran replied as she used Water Pulse on Rhydon. "Bu-to! Ka-bu-to!" Kabuto replied as he used the attack as well; drenching Rhydon with water. "Nice! They got direct hits!" Sora replied. "Yep. But they know Rhydon ain't going down yet. If they can dodge its attacks perfectly... they'll wear it down and it will retreat." Zach replied. Sora nodded his head in agreement, and then they saw Rhydon use Stone Edge. We dodged the attack with ease, and then saw Rhydon jump up in the air by slamming his tail onto the ground; ready to attack again. "Here it comes! He's using Take Down!" I said. "Got it!" Celina replied. We dodged the attack and went behind him. "Nidoran! Double Kick! Fearow! Drill Run!" she said. "Nido! Nido-ran! Ni-do-ran!" Nidoran replied as she used her attack on Rhydon's back; surprising him. "Row! Fear-ow!" Fearow replied as he used his attack on Rhydon's stomach; sending him down to the ground.
We flew down to the ground, jumped off Aerodactyl and Fearow's backs, and then saw Rhydon stand up and use Earth Power. We dodged it easily, and looked at Rhydon as he looked at us. "So that's how you're gonna play, huh? Well try this on for size! Aerodactyl! Use Dragon Dance!" I said. "Aero! Ae-ro-dactyl!" Aerodactyl replied as he spun around in the air while surrounded by draconian energy. "Rhydon! Rhy-don!" Rhydon replied as he used Rock Throw again, but this time he saw Aerodactyl move faster than before. "Rhy-don!?" he said surprised. I smirked at him, and then looked at Celina. She smirked and nodded her head to me; knowing what to do. "Okay, Nidoran! Let's show him your true power! Use Earth Power!" she said. "Ran! Ni-do-ran!" Nidoran replied as she used Earth Power on Rhydon. "Don!" Rhydon cried. "Tay! Now!" Celina replied. "Got it! Aerodactyl! Use Hyper Beam!" I replied. "Aero! Ae-ro-dactyl!" Aerodactyl replied as he used Hyper Beam on Rhydon. "Rhydon!" cried Rhydon. He fell back from the attacks, and then ran back to his nest.
"Woo hoo! They did it!" Sora cheered. The group ran over to us and gave us high fives. "Great job, you two." said Yuya. "Thanks. You know... I have to admit. We did good as a team." Celina replied as she turned to me. "Yeah we did." I replied. We did an arm bump, and then hugged our Pokémon. "Aerodactyl. Kabuto. You two were awesome out there. Well done." I said. They hugged me back happily and made me laugh a little bit. "Nidoran. Fearow. You two were incredible. You both have grown stronger from our training together. I am so proud of you." said Celina. "Row!" Fearow replied happily. "Ran-Ran! Nidoran!" Nidoran replied happily as she jumped up and down happily. After she did that, her body began to glow; making all of us look at her in shock. "Guys! Look! Celina's Nidoran is evolving!" said Zuzu. We watched her silently and in awe as she evolved, and then she became a Nidorina a moment later! "Nido-rina!" she said. "Nidoran... you did it! You really did it! You evolved into Nidorina!" Celina replied happily. "Rina!" Nidorina replied happily.
They shared an embrace for a moment, and then Celina took out her Phone and activated her PokéDex. "Nidorina, the Poison Pin Pokémon. A Poison type, and the evolved form of the female Nidoran. When it senses danger, it raises all the barbs on its body. These barbs grow more slowly than Nidorino's. It emits ultrasonic cries that have the power to befuddle foes." said Celina's PokéDex. As we celebrated, Aerodactyl saw a rock roll down towards us. He then lightly jumped over us, and stopped it with his tail. He moved his tail away and we all saw the rock for the first time. "Aero." he said. I walked over to him, and gently petted his nose. "Thank you, Aerodactyl." I said. He smiled and wagged his tail happily at me. "Aww~ I've never seen an Aerodactyl this happy before." said Zuzu. "Yeah. It comes to show that not all Aerodactyl are vicious. They only act that way when they are threatened by something or someone that wants to attack them." Yuya replied. "Aero." Aerodactyl replied as he nodded his head in agreement.
After that, he picked up the rock with his mouth, and gently put it down in front of us. As we looked at it, we saw that his teeth had made the rock crack a little bit, and then we saw something inside of it. "What the? What is that?" said Zuzu. "It's a Fossil." I replied. "What!? What's a Fossil doing in here?" she replied. "I don't know?" I replied. "Well... what kind of Fossil is it?" Celina replied. I picked up the rock, and then we watched Aerodactyl sniff the rock. "I think he might know what it is." said Zach. "What? You saying it might be an Old Amber in there?" Pat replied. "Maybe..? Hey, Tay? Can you ask Aerodactyl to bite the rock one more time?" he replied. "Sure." I replied. I gently handed Aerodactyl the rock, and we watched him gently bite it again, and then saw the Fossil slide out of his mouth. He then moved his head away from us, and spat the rock out. "Aero." he said. "Thank you, Aerodactyl." I replied. He wagged his tail happily again, and then we all inspected the Fossil. "Whoa... look at that. It is another Old Amber..." said Zuzu.
"Yep. It's beautiful." Celina replied. She nodded her head in agreement, and then saw me put the Fossil in Celina's hands. "Huh? Tay? What are you doing?" she asked me. "Giving her the Fossil. She said that she has wanted an Aerodactyl of her own for quite some time now... so... I thought that she should have it." I replied. The group's eyes widened in shock and surprise to my response, and then Celina began to tear up a little bit. "Tay... are you serious..? You really... want to give me the Old Amber?" she asked me. "Of course. You deserve it. It wouldn't be fair if I had two of the same Pokémon that someone I know had been searching for the most. So... I want you to keep this one." I replied. She smiled happily at me, and hugged me; making me hug her back. "Thank you, Tay... thank you so much." she said after we ended the hug. "You're welcome." I replied with a warm smile. The group smiled happily at us, and then I stood up and began to walk. "Huh? Where are you going?" Yuya asked me.
"I wanna show you where I revived my Fossils." I replied as I turned to him and the group. "Wait!? Are you serious? You're actually going to revive them for us?" Pat replied. I nodded my head yes to his response; making them happy. After that, they all followed me to the cave, and laid down the Fossils on the floor. "Okay. Here's how this is going to work. I'm using a special ability that is like the Fossil machines that we all have seen and heard about, that turns them into Pokémon... but it's way faster. So... when you see them become Pokémon, you have to immediately catch them before they have the chance to attack." I said. "So... when they almost open their eyes... that's when we catch them?" Sora replied. "Correct." I replied. "Ah... now I getcha." he replied. "Wait a minute? Who's catching who?" Yuya replied. "Celina's catching a Aerodactyl and a Omanyte. Zach, Pat, and Sora are catching Omanyte as well." I replied. "Ah. Okay." he replied. I nodded my head yes to him, and then stared at the Fossils.
"Alright? You guys ready?" I asked them. "Ready." Zach, Pat, Sora, and Celina replied with PokéBalls in their hands. "Okay. Let's do this." I replied. After that, I used my powers again to revive the Fossils. They watched me silently as I revived them and watched them turn into Pokémon. After a few moments, the Fossils fully turned into Pokémon. "Alright, guys. Now." I said. "Right. PokéBall, go!" they replied as they gently threw the PokéBalls at their new Pokémon, and began the capture process. The Balls closed, landed on the ground, shook three times, and then made a dinging sound; confirming the captures. "Omanyte has been registered to your PokéDex." said Zach, Pat, and Sora's Phones. "Omanyte and Aerodactyl have been registered to your PokéDex." Celina's Phone replied. "Alright! We just caught our Fossil Pokémon!" Pat cheered. "Yeah!" Sora cheered happily. "Congrats you guys." Zuzu replied happily. "Thank you." they replied. We stood up, and then left the cave and Diglett's Cave together.
Route 11
We had a nice lunch together outside and let our Fossil Pokémon interact with each other. When we first saw the four Omanyte, we noticed that Sora's Omanyte was purple instead of blue, and then my Aerodactyl was taller than Celina's Aerodactyl. Her Aerodactyl is 5'11", and my Aerodactyl is 8'03". When we all saw the size difference, it scared us at first, but then we noticed how mine was being protective of hers... it then put us at ease. "Hey, guys? Should we train with them using the training set ups we bought at the store? I kinda want to see how strong they are ever sine the prehistoric days." Sora asked us. "Sure! I'm down for it." Pat replied happily. "Yeah! Me too!" Zach replied. "Alright! Let's do it!" Sora replied happily. After that, they went to set up their training spot together nearby our picnic area. We smiled at them happily, and then me and Celina saw my Kabuto and her Omanyte training with our Aerodactyl's. "Check it out. They're already bonding by training together." said Yuya. "Yep. Just like two certain people we know." Zuzu replied as she and him looked at me and Celina.
We turned to them, saw the smiles on their faces, and then lightly smiled back at them. After that, we saw our Aerodactyl's fly up higher in the sky and begin to train with each other. "Aero!" said Celina's Aerodactyl. "Ae-ro!" my Aerodactyl replied. They circled each other around, and then Celina's Aerodactyl used Iron Head on my Aerodactyl. "Whoa! My Aerodactyl knows Iron Head! That's awesome!" said Celina happily. My Aerodactyl was pushed back a bit from the attack, and then looked at his new ally; seeing it prepare its next attack. "Aero! Ae-ro-dactyl!" said Celina's Aerodactyl as it used Rock Slide. My Aerodactyl saw the attack come his way, and dodged it while using Dragon Dance. "Huh? He's using Dragon Dance again? How come?" Yuya asked. "Maybe because he is slower than Celina's Aerodactyl?" Zuzu replied. "Or maybe he wants to make his next attack stronger?" Celina replied. "I guess we'll have to see for ourselves." I replied.
As the rocks fell from the sky, Onix and Tsunami destroyed them with Iron Tail and Aqua Tail; keeping all of us safe. "Nice save." said Zuzu. "Yeah. I guess sometimes having very tall Pokémon on your side can be a good thing." Yuya replied. We nodded our heads in agreement, and then saw my Aerodactyl begin to use an attack. "Ae-ro! Aero-dactyl! Aero!" he said as he used Ancient Power on Celina's Aerodactyl; surprising it. "Whoa! What a hit!" I said. "So that's why he did Dragon Dance! He boosted his Attack and Speed in order to use it at the right moment!" Celina replied. After that, our Aerodactyl's flew down to the grass, and looked at us silently. "I guess they're done training?" said Yuya. Celina and I walked over to them, patted them, and gave them some Berries to eat; making them happy. "You two had your fun?" Celina asked them. "Aero!" they replied happily.
We smiled at them happily, and then we looked at Omanyte and Kabuto; seeing them training with Nidorina, Nidorino, Inteleon, Drowzee, Magnemite, Solar, Ivysaur, Scyther, Butterfree, and both me and Zach's Beedrill's. "Looks like they're helping them test their aiming when throwing rocks or firing water at opponents." I said. "Mhm. You know... I never imagined our group would be this big as it is now. Just to see all of our Pokémon bond and train together like this... it makes me feel... happy." she replied. "Yeah. Me too. It feels like that they are starting to form a giant family unit when they are bonding and training together. They've seen from their own eyes on how we bond and connect with each other, and it inspired them to do the same thing. Whether it is personal training with us, or training together... they are forming bonds in a way that only we can see and understand. They're just like us. Forming our friendships and building our bonds in ways that not many people can understand." I replied.
She nodded her head in agreement to my response, and then we saw Zach, Pat, and Sora return with their Omanyte's. "Well? How did it go?" she asked them. "It went great! They all know Mud Shot, Water Gun, Rock Throw, and Rollout!" Sora replied. "Wow. That's great." she replied with a warm smile. "Thanks. It was a bit of a struggle at first, but once they got the hang of aiming at the targets at believing in themselves, they started to get the bullseye with ease." he replied happily. "That's great! Looks like all the lessons at the Academy have really paid off, huh?" she replied. "Mhm. They sure have." he replied. "Nyte!" his Omanyte replied happily. After that, we saw all of our Pokémon approach us. "Whoa... we really do have a giant group of Pokémon..." he said. "Yeah... looks like that future sanctuary is definitely going to be happening after this journey is over." I replied sheepishly.
The group and I laughed happily after that, and then we had our lunchtime together. As we ate, a Trainer walked by and saw our Fossil Pokémon for the first time. "Hey! You kids! Over here!" he said. We turned to to the pathway, and saw him for the first time. "Yeah? Can we help you?" Zuzu replied. The Trainer smiled at us, and then pointed his thumb at himself. "My name is Tyranno Hassleberry! I hail from Pewter City! And I am a Fossil Pokémon Trainer! I see that you all have Fossil Pokémon on your teams. Did you just receive them today?" he replied. "Nope. We had their Fossils for a while. We just revived them today." Zach replied. "Ah. I see. So you're starting to get used to them and their abilities. Have they tried to attack you or anything?" he replied. "Nope. We caught them very quickly after they were revived." I replied. "Really?" he replied in a surprised tone. I nodded my head yes to his response.
He smiled at the response, and then readied a PokéBall at us. "Heh. That's outstanding. They let you tame them that easily? Well then. Let's see how strong they really are in battle!" he said. "Oh? So you want a challenge, huh? Okay! We accept your challenge! Zach! Pat! Sora! Tay! Let's go!" Celina replied as she stood up. "Right!" we replied. Tyranno smirked at us, and then threw three PokéBalls up in the air, watched them open, and saw his Pokémon appear. "Whoa! He has the same three Fossil Pokémon as we do!" said Sora. "Yep! I wanna keep it fair and use the Fossil Pokémon that are mostly found in the Kanto region. I wanna test out the strength of your Fossil Pokémon and see if you all can handle the power of prehistoric Pokémon!" he replied. His Pokémon let out their battle cries; making our Fossil Pokémon do the same. We then walked away from the picnic area, and got into our battle positions.
"You kids, ready?" he asked us. "Ready!" we replied. "Alright! Then let's get this battle started!" he replied.
Battle! Zach, Pat, Sora, Celina, Taylor vs. Tyranno!
"Okay! Omanyte! Use Rollout! Kabuto! Rock Blast! Aerodactyl! Air Cutter!" said Tyranno. "Om-a! O-man-yte!" his Omanyte replied as it used Rollout at the Omanyte. "Kabu! Ka-bu-to!" his Kabuto replied as it used its attack on my Kabuto. "Aero! Ae-ro-dactyl!" his Aerodactyl replied at it used its attack on the Aerodactyl's. Our Pokémon fell back a little bit, and then shook of the attacks. "What!?" he said surprised. His Omanyte used Rollout again, and then saw the four Omanyte ready to fight. "Ready, guys?" said Zach. "Ready!" we replied. He smirked, nodded his head, and then pointed at Tyranno's Omanyte. "Alright! Omanyte! Use Mud Shot!" he said. "Omanyte! O-man-yte!" all four of the Omanyte's replied as they used the on the oncoming Omanyte; stopping its Rollout attack. "O-man!" cried Omanyte.
"Ah! Omanyte!" Tyranno replied worriedly. "Omanyte! Use Rock Smash!" Celina replied. "Oman! O-man-yte! Nyte!" her Omanyte replied as it used Rock Smash on its opponent; knocking it out. "Omanyte!" Tyranno replied. "Om..an...yte.." his Omanyte replied. "Tyranno's Omanyte is unable to battle! Celina's, Zach's Pat's, and Sora's Omanyte win!" Yuya replied. "Alright!" Sora replied happily. Tyranno clutched his hands into fists, and then pointed at them. "This battle ain't over yet! Kabuto! Giga Drain on all four Omanyte!" he said. "What!?" Pat and Sora replied worriedly. "Kabu! Ka-bu-to!" Kabuto replied as it used the attack on all four of the Omanyte; knocking them out. "Omanyte!" said Pat worriedly. "All four Omanyte are unable to battle! Tyranno's Kabuto is the winner!" Yuya replied.
"Aw, yeah! Great work, Kabuto!" Tyranno replied happily. "Ka-bu!" his Kabuto replied. "Now! Let's get the others! Aerodactyl! Use Ancient Power! Kabuto! Giga Drain the other Kabuto!" he replied. "Aero! Ae-ro-dactyl!" his Aerodactyl replied as it used the attack. "Kabu! Ka-bu-to!" his Kabuto replied as it used the attack again. "Dodge it!" me and Celina replied. Our Pokémon dodged the attacks, and stared down their opponents. "Kabuto! Blind their eyes with Mud Shot!" I said. "Ka-bu! Ka-bu-to!" my Kabuto replied as he used the attack on his opponents; blinding them. "What!?" said Tyranno surprised. "Nice shot, Tay!" Zach replied. "Thanks! Now let's finish this! Kabuto! Use Giga Drain on Kabuto!" I replied.
"Kabu! Ka-bu-to!" my Kabuto replied as he used the attack on Tyranno's Kabuto; knocking it out. "Ah! Kabuto!" Tyranno replied. "Nice! His Kabuto is down!" Pat replied. "Yep! Now only one left! Let's end this! Aerodactyl! Use Iron Head!" Celina replied. "Aero! Ae-ro-dactyl!" her Aerodactyl replied as it used its attack; hitting its opponent on the head. "Ow... that's gotta hurt." Sora replied. "Now, Tay!" Celina replied. "Right! Aerodactyl! Use Meteor Beam!" I replied. "Ae-ro! Ae-ro-dac-tyl! Ae-ro!" my Aerodactyl replied as he used the attack Tyranno's Aerodactyl; sending it to the ground, and knocking it out. "Unbelievable!" Tyranno replied. "Ae...ro..." his Aerodactyl replied. "Tyranno's Aerodactyl is unable to battle! Taylor's Aerodactyl wins! And the victors of this battle go to: Zach, Pat, Sora, Celina, and Taylor! Yuya replied.
"Alright! We did it! We won!" Sora cheered as he high fived us. "Great work, guys." Zach replied. "Yeah! Great work, everyone!" Pat replied. Tyranno returned his team to their PokéBalls. "You three did a good job out there today. I'm proud of you. Thank you." he said to them. He put them away, and then walked upto us. "Hey, kids. You all did well. Great job." he said. "Thank you." we replied. "The way they all listened to you was incredible. How did you do that in a short amount of time?" he replied. "We were just... lucky. I guess." Pat replied. "I see. Even though they were brought back to life today... they're tough. You're already raising them well. Well done." he replied. "Thanks." Celina replied. We shook his hand, and then said our goodbyes to him. We then went back to our picnic area and continued our lunch.
Two hours later
As we ate and let our Pokémon play and relax, we heard something rustle in the bushes. We stood up and turned to the woods behind us, and saw the Pokémon that appeared from the bushes. "What the? What is that?" said Yuya curiously. Once we looked at the Pokémon, I recognized it immediately. "Pinsir!" I said. "What!?" the group replied surprised. I ran over to Pinsir as it saw me, and watched it run towards me. We shared a hug for a moment, and then looked at the group; seeing the shocked looks on their faces. "Tay! Watch out!" said Zach. "It's fine! Me and Pinsir are cool!" I replied. "Huh? What do you mean that you and it are cool?" he replied. "Because I saved it from its former Trainer." I replied. "What!?" the group replied in shock.
After that, I lead Pinsir towards our area, let it sit down, and gave it some Berries to eat. "Wait a second... didn't we see that Pinsir in Viridian Forest a while back?" Celina asked me. "Yeah. It was under the control of its former Trainer: Weevil Underwood. He was the one that tried to capture Solar when he first didn't trust humans... until the night we fought each other... and I set it free from him." I replied. "Set it free? How did you do that?" Yuya replied. "I crushed its PokéBall with my foot. When I first noticed the tension and anger in its eyes... I knew that it was upset. It was taken away by him when it was protecting its family. And it wanted to do everything to go back to them, and make sure they were safe. So... I crushed that PokéBall, and helped it escape; making sure that former Trainer of his would never find it again." I replied.
"Wow... that's deep." Zach replied. I nodded my head in agreement to his response, and then we all looked at Pinsir as it interacted with Solar. "So? Then what brings it over here?" Zuzu asked. "I'm not sure?" I replied. "Maybe something happened to its home or its family?" Sora replied. "Maybe..?" I replied. "There's only one way to find out." Celina replied. "Yeah." I replied as I stood up. I walked over to all the Pokémon, and saw Pinsir looking at me. "Sir? Pin-sir?" it asked me curiously. "Pinsir..? Has anything happened to you or your family ever since we last saw each other?" I replied as I crouched down to its eye level. Its eyes widened in shock to my answer, and then saw all of us looking at it; feeling concerned for it and its family's safety. It tapped its claws together, and tried to answer my question... but then all of a sudden, we saw a shot of web hit the tree near us.
"What the hell!?" said Zach. "What was that?" Pat replied. Pinsir and I stood up slowly, and then saw a familiar face walk upto us. "Weevil Underwood..." I said sternly. He snickered evilly at me, and then saw his ally walk to his side. "Hey, Weevil? Isn't that your Pinsir?" his friend asked him. "Not anymore. Turns out that this punk decided to break its PokéBall, and set it free without my permission." Weevil replied. "All because of how harshly you were treating it, asshole." I replied angrily; shocking everyone. "What!? What the hell are you talking about!? I have never treated it harshly!" he replied in shock. "Oh, bullshit. Don't try to go through your little cob of lies. You know exactly what you did to it." I replied angrily. "Hey! You don't get to talk to him that way!" his friend replied. "Shut up, Rex!" he replied as he turned to him. "If you think you can get away with saying words like that! Then battle me! Right here! Right now!" Rex replied. I clutched my hands into fists, and then stared at them with intense anger. "I have a better idea." I said as my eyes began to glow crimson red.
I then quickly charged at them and pinned them to a tree; shocking everyone. "Ah!" they said in fear. "Tay!" the girls and Sora replied worriedly. "Tay! Stop!" Pat replied. "They're not worth it, Tay! Let them go!" Zach replied. I ignored their pleas, and pushed them towards the tree more. "Why are you chasing after Pinsir? What did you two do to its family?" I said. Rex and Weevil looked at me in fear, and then Weevil saw his Pokémon look down at us. "Ariados! Help us! Use Spider Web!" he said. Ariados hissed at me, and used its attack. I quickly got out of the way and threw them down to the ground. Ariados jumped down to the ground, hissed again, and then saw the glowing red eyes of mine for the first time. Ariados quickly backed away in fear, and hid behind its Trainer. They slowly got up, and saw me looking down at them. "We did nothing to them! I swear!" Weevil replied. "Yes we did! We trapped them under all the rocks from my Pokémon! It made them lead your Pinsir back to fight us, and you tried to catch it again, but it ran away and we chased it here!" Rex replied.
"What!?" the group replied in shock and anger. "Shut up, Rex! You idiot! I was trying to lie in order to save ourselves!" Weevil replied. "Oh come on, Weevil. Look where lying got you last time. It made you miss the chance of catching that Bulbasaur that you tried to catch in Viridian Forest a few weeks back!" Rex replied. "What!?" Weevil replied angrily. Once I heard what happened to Pinsir's family... I turned to Pinsir and saw the sadness and anger in its eyes; knowing it wants its revenge. "Pin... Pin-sir!" it said angrily as it charged at them, and was about to use Vise Grip. "Pinsir!" I said. Rex stood up and threw a PokéBall up in the air, watched it open, and reveal his Pokémon to push Pinsir back. It fell to the ground, stood up, and saw the Pokémon looking at it. "What the? Who's that Pokémon?" said Yuya. "That's an Armaldo!" Sora replied. "Armaldo?" he replied curiously as he took out his Phone, and activated his PokéDex. "Armaldo, the Plate Pokémon. A Bug and Rock type, and the evolved form of Anorith. Armaldo is a Pokémon species that became extinct in prehistoric times. This Pokémon is said to have walked on its hind legs, which would have been more convenient for life on land." said Yuya's PokéDex.
Armaldo stared down Pinsir, and then smirked at it. "Armaldo! Use Ancient Power!" said Rex. "Mal! Ar-mal-do!" Armaldo replied as it used the attack on Pinsir; injuring it. "Pinsir!" I replied. I then looked at Armaldo angrily, and then clutched my hands into fists. "Fine. If you want a battle... then you got one. If I win... you two will leave Pinsir alone and never bother it and its family ever again." I said. "Heh. Fine by me. If we win, you have to let us catch Pinsir and let us use it how ever we wish." he replied. I growled angrily to his request, and then readied a PokéBall in my right hand. "Oh no... she's actually serious about this." said Sora. "Yeah. When it comes to Pokémon mistreatment... she takes it very seriously. When she confronts the ones who did this to them... she won't back down and will fight them." Celina replied. "Yeah. But... what about Pinsir? What should we do?" he replied. "We'll heal it. Sora? You have all the kinds of Potions, right?" she replied.
"Yeah. I have them in my Bag." he replied. "Perfect. We'll help you heal it while we all watch the battle together." she replied. "Right." he replied. After that, they went to Pinsir's aid, and sat down around it. "Ha! See, Rex? I told you that she would accept the challenge!" said Rex confidently. "Are you sure? She really didn't say anything after your request?" Weevil replied. "Ah, it doesn't matter. Trainers like her know that I'm not playing around. Now come on! Get up, you dweeb! It's time to fight!" he replied as he watched him stand up. "Heh. I guess your right." Weevil replied; making him smirk. "Alright! Armaldo! Let's show her what you're made of!" he replied. "Maldo!" Armaldo replied. "Ariados! I'm counting on you!" Weevil replied. Ariados hissed, and got into its battle stance; ready to fight. "Hydro! Venom! Let's go!" I replied. "War! War-tortle!" Hydro replied. "Ekans!" Venom replied.
"What? She's not going with any of her Flying types? How come?" Pat replied. "Because of Armaldo. It's part Rock type. She knew that if she used a Flying type, it would have something to defeat it." Zach replied. "Mhm. Hydro is a good choice against it... but why is she putting her Ekans in this fight?" Yuya replied. "I don't know? Maybe to counter Ariados I think?" Pat replied. "Maybe? Let's see how this will play out." he replied. The group then watched me in silence, and then saw Rex and Weevil smirking at me. "Those creeps are up to something." said Zuzu. "Yeah. And Tay needs to watch out for that." Celina replied. Pinsir stared at me silently, and then began to think of its family. It clutched its hands into fists; hoping that I win this fight.
Battle! Taylor vs. Rex & Weevil!
"We'll go first! Armaldo! Use Slash!" said Rex. "Ariados! Use Lunge!" Weevil replied. "Ar! Ar-mal-do!" Armaldo replied as it aimed for Hydro. Ariados hissed, jumped up, and aimed for Venom. "Dodge it!" I said. "Ekans!" Venom replied as he moved out of the way. "Wartortle!" Hydro replied as he dodged the attack. "What!?" said Rex. "They're too fast!" Weevil replied. "Venom! Use Screech! Hydro! Use Aqua Tail on Armaldo!" I replied. Venom hissed loudly, rattled his tail, and then used the attack on his opponents; making them close their eyes and scream in pain. "Mal! Ar-mal-do!" Armaldo cried. "War! War-tortle! War!" Wartortle replied as he used his attack on Armaldo; damaging him. "Mal!" Armaldo cried. "Ah! Armaldo!" Rex replied worriedly. Weevil clutched his hands into fists, and then pointed at Venom. "Ariados! X-Scissor!" he said.
Ariados hissed again, and used its attack. "Venom! Use Glare!" I replied. "Ekans! E-kans!" he replied as he made his eyes glow and stop Ariados right in its tracks. "What!?" Weevil replied surprised. "Alright! That was perfect timing!" Yuya replied. "Yeah! Ariados will be slow for a while. That will give her time to take down Armaldo and keep it out of Venom's way!" Zuzu replied. "Right!" he replied. Pinsir was surprised to see Ariados suddenly become paralyzed by Venom's Glare, and then looked at its former Trainer; seeing the anger fuming in his eyes. "Pin-sir..." it said to itself. "Hey! Weevil! You alright?" Rex replied. "Yes! I'm fine. Just take them down for me! I got the perfect attack for them." Weevil replied.
"You got it! Armaldo! Ancient Power! Now!" he replied. "Ar! Ar-mal-do!" Armaldo replied as it used the attack. "Hydro! Dodge it and use Aura Sphere!" I replied. "What!?" Rex and Weevil replied surprised. "Tor! War-tor-tle!" Hydro replied as he dodged the attack, used the rocks to jump around, charged up the attack with his hands, and then fired it at Armaldo's face. "Maldo!" Armaldo cried. "Armaldo!" Rex replied worriedly. Armaldo took a few steps back, shook off the pain, and then looked at my team; seeing them staring at it. "Why you! Armaldo! Use Rock Tomb! Shut them down!" Rex replied. "Ariados! Use Sludge Bomb!" Weevil replied. Both Pokémon nodded their heads to their Trainers and used their attacks. "Venom! Cover yourself and Hydro with Haze!" I said. "Ekans! E-kans!" he replied as he used the attack to hide himself and Hydro.
The attacks landed on the ground as the hazy smoke surrounded my team, and then the smoke disappeared. "Yes! We got 'em!" said Rex confidently. After he said that, I stayed silent; making everyone curious. "Hey! Why are you quiet again" Weevil asked me. I cleared my throat and then showed a serious look on my face. "Did you two really think you had them?" I said. "Yeah! Of course we do!" Rex replied. "Oh really? Why don't your Pokémon take a closer look and see for themselves?" I replied. They looked at me and each other all confused for a moment, and then they saw Hydro standing tall on the rocks. "War!" he said with a smirk. "What!? There's no way!" Weevil replied in shock.
"That's impossible! How did that thing dodge it!?" Rex replied in shock. "It's called thinking outside the box, boys. You should try it sometime." I replied. "Hey..? Where's the Ekans? Wasn't it there just a minute ago?" Rex replied. "Don't worry about it. You both should be worried about this! Hydro! Use Hydro Pump!" I replied. "Tor! War-tor-tle!" he replied as he used the attack on his opponents; soaking them with water. They fell back a few feet, and then they began to feel a powerful force underground. They looked down, and then saw Venom appear from underground; hitting them with Dig. "Armaldo!" Armaldo cried. "What!?" Rex and Weevil replied in shock. Venom slithered back to Hydro's side of the field, and then smirked at his opponents. He rattled his tail, hissed, and then we saw both Armaldo and Ariados faint. "Oh no!" said Weevil worriedly.
"It's over. Now. You two must leave Pinsir and its family alone for good. You hear me?" I replied. They returned their Pokémon to their PokéBalls, and then looked at me in shock. "No way... she's really that strong..." said Rex worriedly. "See!? I told you! We would've never been in this situation if you didn't get hot headed like you always do, and I would've caught Pinsir and its family with ease!" Weevil replied. Pinsir's eyes widened in anger to what he said, quickly stood up on its feet, and then went to my side. "Ah!" they screamed in fear. Pinsir growled angrily at them, and was prepared to attack. "Pinsir!" said Sora worriedly as he ran to my side. It then turned to us, looked at Sora's eyes, and began to feel a connection with him. It blinked its eyes, and then motioned him to walk upto it. "Huh? Me?" he said curiously. It nodded its head yes to his question, and then watched him walk to its side.
"Sora. It's trusting you to land the final attack." I said. "What? Really?" he replied. "Yep. It watched you heal it while everyone else helped it stay calm as you sprayed some of the Potions on it. It trusts you more than anyone right now." I replied. He was surprised to my response, and then smiled happily at me. "So What's one of Pinsir's attacks?" he asked me. "Hyper Beam." I replied as I patted his shoulder. "Got it. Pinsir! Use Hyper Beam!" he replied. "Pinsir!" Pinsir replied as it charged the attack. "Ah! No! Please!" Weevil pleaded. "No! Please! Don't do this, man! Please! We're begging you!" Rex pleaded. "Sorry, guys. But this is for what you both have done to Pinsir and its family. Pinsir! Fire!" he replied. "Pin-sir!" Pinsir replied as it fired the attack at Rex and Weevil; sending them flying. We heard them scream as they flew up high in the sky, and disappear from our line of sight.
"Alright! We did it, Pinsir!" he said happily. "Pinsir!" it replied happily, and then hugged him; celebrating the win together. "Tay! Sora! You guys did it!" said Zuzu happily as she and the group ran over to us. "Thank you." we replied happily. "Yeah! You two were awesome! Tay. Thank you for letting Sora and Pinsir have the final say and attack. I'm sure that those two punks will never come back." Celina replied. "No problem. I knew that I had to let them end the fight with a bang." I replied. Sora smiled at us happily, and then we all went back to our little picnic area. We let Hydro, Venom, and Pinsir rest alongside our teams again, and we sat down on the grass. "So..? How do we get Pinsir back to its home and save its family?" Zach asked us. "We'll have to let Pinsir lead the way. Once we see the damage, then we'll find a way to get them out safely." I replied. "Got it." he replied. "Hey, Tay? Did you turn into your Awakened Form when you pinned them to the tree before the battle?" Pat asked me.
"Yeah. But I never threw a fist or anything though." I replied. "That's true. I think that's the first time you had full control of that state. Proud of you, bud." he replied. "Thanks, man." I replied. We shared a fist bump, and then we saw Pinsir stand up. We then stood up, quickly packed up our things, and saw Pinsir looking at us. "Pinsir." it said as it walked upto us. "Pinsir? Do you know where your family is?" Sora asked it. Pinsir nodded its head yes to him, and then pointed to its left; making us look in that direction. "So... they're in the woods over there?" he asked. "Pinsir." it replied. "Okay. Then let's go save your family." he replied. Pinsir nodded its head yes to him, and then began leading us the way to its home. "So..? How do we tell what a Pinsir's home looks like?" Pat asked us. "If you see a lot of fallen trees or trees that are completely scratched... that's how you can tell you are in Pinsir's territory." Celina replied.
"Ah. Okay." he replied. He then jumped up on Onix's head with his team, looked at Zach as he stood tall on Tsunami's head, Yuya and Zuzu on Milotic as she floated in the air, Sora on Fearow's back, Celina on her Aerodactyl's back, and me on Dragonfire's back. My Aerodactyl gently picked up Pinsir with his feet, and lifted it up in the air; staying alongside our winged Pokémon. "Alright, Sora. Whenever you're ready." I said. "Right. Ready, Pinsir?" Sora replied. "Pin." Pinsir replied. "Okay. Lead us the way, Pinsir. Show us what your former Trainer did to your home." he replied. "Pinsir." it replied. After that, we all went to Pinsir's home. As we flew, we all noticed the determination in Sora's eyes. "Hey, Tay? He has the same determination as you. I can tell by the look in his eyes." said Pat. "Yeah. He's right. It's the same determination in his eyes that are like your when you see and hear of Pokémon being mistreated." Celina replied. "Really?" I replied. They nodded their heads yes to my question.
"Wow... I guess it shows how much he cares about it and its family." I said. They nodded their heads in agreement to my response, and then we saw my Aerodactyl fly down to the ground. "We're here." said Pat. We looked down at the area and saw all the fallen trees and rocks. "Yep. This is the place." I said. "Alright, guys. Let's do this." Celina replied. "Right." we replied. After that, we slowly descended to the ground, and looked at the damage around us.
Pinsir's Home
"Guys! Look! Over there!" said Sora. We looked out to a cave nearby, and saw the rocks blocking the entrance to it. "Holy shit... that's a lot of rocks." said Yuya as we walked upto the cave. "Yeah. Let's just hope that no one got hurt from this." Zuzu replied. Pinsir looked at the rocks silently, and then touched them; knowing its family is inside that cave. As we stared at the cave, Aurasoul and I turned to each other, and stared at each other. "Aurasoul? Can you use your Aura Vision to sense Pinsir's family and see if they are okay?" I asked him. He made a sound and nodded his head yes to my request. He then walked upto the rocks, closed his eyes, put his right paw on the rocks, and began to use his Aura Vision ability. As he did this, he saw Pinsir's family's energy inside; staying huddled together. "Whoa... since when can he do that?" said Yuya curiously. "He first did this when were at Reed's family's factory when we were investigating the Rattata problem a while back." Zach replied. "Wow... is this a natural ability that all Lucario can do?" he replied.
"Yep. It is. Not only does that make them great fighters... it can also help others in search and rescue jobs." I replied. He nodded his head in understanding to my response, and then we saw Aurasoul stop his Aura Vision. "Aurasoul? Did you see them in there?" Sora asked him. He made a sound and nodded his head yes to his question. "Are they okay?" he asked again. He nodded his head yes to his question, and then showed us a huddled position. "So they're huddled together inside the cave. That's good." he said. Pinsir breathed a sigh of relief to the news, and then we all began to move the rocks away. As we did this, we made sure that we didn't overexert ourselves. "Pin. Sir. Pin. Sir." said Pinsir as it moved the rocks.
Ten minutes later, the rocks were completely removed. We wiped off the sweat off our foreheads, and then watched Pinsir go inside the cave. "Pinsir! Pin-sir!" it said. "Pinsir!" multiple voices replied. Pinsir looked straight ahead, and saw its entire family run upto it. "Pinsir!" it cried happily; seeing its family all safe and healthy. They shared many embraces, and then ran out of the cave together. "Pin-sir!" they said happily. "Whoa! Look at that! They're all happy!" Yuya replied happily. "Yeah! They're all safe!" Sora replied happily. We smiled at them happily, and then I patted Sora's shoulder. "Hm?" he said curiously. "So? How do you feel about what you're seeing now? Does that now lift a huge weight off your chest?" I asked him. He smiled and nodded his head yes to my question.
"Yeah. I feel a lot better now. Just to see Pinsir happy again... it makes me happy." he said. I smiled at him happily, and then Pinsir let us meet its family. As they stared at us, Pinsir talked to them through grunts and battle motions on how we handled Rex and Weevil after it ran to us, and then hugged us happily; thanking us for saving them. "Pinsir! Pin-Pinsir!" they said happily. "You're welcome." we replied. They let us go from the hugs, and then we watched them rebuild their home. We then gave them some Berries, and Bug type Pokémon food for all their hard work on restoring their home.
An hour later, all of the Pinsir laid down together, and began to sleep in peace. We smiled happily at them, and then left them in peace; knowing now that they can live freely without anyone disturbing them. As we walked away, Pinsir woke up and saw us walk back through the woods. It blinked its eyes, remembered everything that had happened to it, and then began to think about its future. It looked at its family silently for a few moments, and then looked up at the sky; thinking about what to do with its life now.
Route 11- Nighttime
We sat around the campfire, and looked up at the starry sky; admiring its beauty. "Wow. The sky looks so beautiful." said Zuzu. "Mhm. It sure does." Yuya replied. We stared at the stars silently as we had some smores and played some music from one of our Phones; enjoying a peaceful night to ourselves. "You know... it's nice to share a quiet night like this together." said Celina. "Mhm. Especially with all the craziness that happened today... it's nice to finally kick back, relax, and get a nice sleep before tomorrow." Pat replied. We nodded our heads in agreement to his response, and them looked at all of our Pokémon; seeing most of them sleeping together, and some staying awake; making sure no one jumps us. We smiled at them warmly, and quietly took photos of them and sent them to our group chat and our parents; letting them know how we are doing.
We put our Phones down, and then heard bushes rustle in the distance. Aurasoul and Inteleon quickly jumped up in front of us and were prepared to fight. We stood up alongside them and looked out to our left; wondering what's out there. A couple moments later, we saw that Pinsir had returned. "Pinsir!" said Sora happily. He ran over to it happily, and then they shared an embrace. "What the..? Pinsir? What's it doing back here?" said Zach. Sora and Pinsir ended their hug, and then walked upto us. "Pin! Pin-sir!" it said happily as it hugged us again. "I guess it wants to say a personal thank you to all of us?" Zuzu replied. "Yeah. I think that's it." Zach replied. It ended the hugs, and smiled happily at us; making us smile. After that, it looked at Sora and showed off its battle poses. "Whoa! It looks so much more confident now!" he said.
"Yeah. It sure does." I replied. We watched Pinsir do its battle poses for a couple more minutes, and then it pointed at Sora. "Huh!? What's going on?" he said surprised. "Pinsir! Pin-Pin! Pin-sir! Pinsir! Pinsir!" it replied. My eyes widened in shock to what it said, and I looked at Sora with a smile. "Sora. Pinsir wants you to catch it." I said. "What!?" he replied surprised as he turned to me. I nodded my head yes to his response. "Really..? It really wants me to catch it?" he said. "Mhm. It sure does. Right, Pinsir? Is that what you want? You want to battle by Sora's side, and stick with all of us?" I replied as we looked at Pinsir again. "Pin!" it replied as it nodded its head yes to my response.
"Yo! That's awesome!" Pat replied. "That's amazing! Pinsir chose Sora as its partner!" Yuya replied. "That's so sweet!" Zuzu replied. Sora and Pinsir looked at each other happily, and he took out a PokéBall from his pocket. "You really mean it, Pinsir? You want to come along with me?" he asked it. "Pin-sir!" it replied happily. Sora smiled and laughed happily, and then prepared the PokéBall in his hand. "That's awesome! Welcome to the team! Go, PokéBall!" he said as he threw the PokéBall at Pinsir, watched it touch its pincers, and then begin the capture process. The Ball closed, landed in his hands, shook three times, and then made a dinging sound; confirming the capture. "Pinsir has been registered to your PokéDex." said Sora's Phone. We smiled and laughed happily at what just happened, and then we saw Sora raise the PokéBall up in the air.
"Alright! I caught a Pinsir!" he said happily. "Munch-Munchlax!" Munchlax cheered happily. "Congratulations, Sora. You caught yourself a powerful Pokémon there." Celina replied. "Thank you, Celina." he replied happily. "Good job, buddy. I know that Pinsir will be in great care in your hands." I replied. "Thank you, Tay. I promise you that it will be safe on my team." he replied. I smiled happily at him, and then we all went to bed for the night; wondering what tomorrow will bring for us.
Thank you so much for reading Chapter 22 of the story! *Phew*... we finally got some things that were long overdue to happen. First off, we finally got the Fossils that the group found in Chapter 4 now revived and now part of the group! I originally wanted to save them for Cinnabar Island, just like the main Kanto games... but I decided to bring them here now, so they can see how powerful Fossil Pokémon can be once they are revived. I'm honestly proud on how they physically debuted here in this Chapter; especially with the battle against Tyranno. I knew once I put in the name of the Chapter, I had to make him show up and test the group on their new Pokémon's power.
And we also have the return of Pinsir and Weevil, alongside the debut of Rex Raptor. This was something I was thinking about ever since Chapter 3, and how they would take on Tay and her team in the pursuit of revenge for Pinsir's release. But after what they just went through... it's no surprise that she gave them a reality check. Hopefully now they will never do something like this ever again. And with Pinsir's return, I had to really think about what it wanted to do when it finally became free from Weevil for good. And I decided to let it travel by Sora's side. He was in desperate need for a physically strong one stage Pokémon for his team.
