Chapter 24: Just Snorlaxing
Route 12
The sun shined bright in the morning sky. Gentle waves of the water were hitting the rocks and pillars under the bridge, and some Magikarp and Goldeen were jumping and splashing around in the water as they saw fishermen on the bridge. As they did this, me and the group were walking on the bridge alongside some of our Pokémon: Tetrax, Aurasoul, Pierce, Pikachu, Ninetales, Nidorina, Munchlax, Wartortle, Ivysaur, and Boltund. We passed by the fishermen, and saw a couple of them bring in a Seaking and a Seadra. We smiled at them as we passed by, and then looked out to the southern entrance to Lavender Town. "We're almost there, guys." said Pat. "Yep. Just a few more minutes of walking, and we'll be there in no time." Celina replied. We nodded our heads in agreement to her response, and continued our walk.
When we made it to the Route 13 entrance, we saw something that was blocking the way. "Huh?" said Pat curiously. "What is that?" Zach replied curiously. We stopped walking, and inspected the creature for the first time. Once we got a good look at it, I smiled happily to it. "It's a Snorlax!" I said. "You're right! It is a Snorlax! But what's it doing all the way out here?" Celina replied. "I have no idea? Maybe it wanted to sleep here for a while?" I replied. "Maybe?" she replied. As we looked at it, Sora and Munchlax stared at it in awe. "Munch-lax..." said Munchlax. "I know right? Can you believe it, Munchlax? We're seeing your evolved form in the wild for the very first time! Isn't that amazing?" Sora replied. "Munch!" he replied happily. "Hehe. I know, right? It is amazing. And I know that someday that you will become a very powerful Snorlax. And we will become an unstoppable duo." Sora replied. "Munch! Munch-Munchlax!" he replied happily.
We smiled at the interaction, and then saw Zach take out his Phone and activate his PokéDex. "Snorlax, the Sleeping Pokémon. A Normal type, and the evolved form of Munchlax. Snorlax's typical day consists of nothing more than eating and sleeping. It is such a docile Pokémon that there are children who use its expansive belly as a place to play. Snorlax eats over 880 pounds of food every day. As it begins to eat, it falls asleep and it sleeps while it eats." said Zach's PokéDex. "Snor... lax... Snor... lax... Snor... lax..." Snorlax replied. "Wow... that entry wasn't kidding." Yuya replied. "Yeah... but what would happen if someone wakes it up? Will it go mad or something?" Zach replied. "Maybe..?" Yuya replied curiously. They then looked back at Snorlax, and saw me and Zuzu climb up on it. "Ah! Hey! Guys! What are you doing!?" said Yuya worriedly. "What? We've got to get across, right?" Zuzu replied. "Yeah! But why are you climbing up on Snorlax!? What if you two step on its face and wake it up!?" Zach replied worriedly.
"We won't. We're climbing upto near its head, slide down its arm, and then go behind its head in order to get across." I replied. They blinked their eyes at us, looked at each other curiously, and then saw Celina, Pat, and Sora climb up on Snorlax as well. "Come on, you two. Let's go." said Pat. They were hesitant for a moment, and then climbed on Snorlax. They slowly walked along its stomach, and then saw us standing a couple feet ahead; waiting for them. "See? We told you it's safe. It's asleep. It won't harm us." said Celina. "Yeah... but... what if it does wake up?" Zach replied. "Then we prepare to battle it. That's only if it goes into a blinding rage." she replied. "That's true..." Yuya replied. We lightly smiled at them, and then climbed down to the Route 13 entrance. Once we all made it down safely, Snorlax slowly moved to its side, and blocked our way to Lavender Town again.
"What!? It blocked the way again!?" said Zach surprised. We groaned in agony, and then looked at each other. "Well, now what do we do?" he said. "Head back to the city?" Pat replied. "Nope. I've got a better idea." Celina replied. "Hm?" Pat replied curiously. "We teleport back to Cerulean City, go through Route's 9 and 10, go through Rock Tunnel, and then we'll be at Lavender Town. I know it sounds like a long path to get there... but trust me. This idea will work out in our favor." she replied. "You sure?" Zach replied curiously. "Of course. I've been down that path multiple times. I know the way through Rock Tunnel with ease." she replied. "Okay... I believe you." he replied. We nodded our heads in agreement, and then I began to hear something.
I turned to my right, and saw another Snorlax appear nearby, walk over to the sleeping Snorlax, and then poked it with its claw. "Snor. Snor-lax. Snorlax." it said. I looked at the Snorlax curiously, watched it poke the sleeping Snorlax again, and then saw it turn to me; seeing me looking at them. "Snor? Snor! Lax! Snor-lax! Lax-Lax! Snor-lax! Snor!" it said as it waved its arms to me. I blinked my eyes curiously at it, and then walked over to it. "Hm? Tay? What are you doing?" said Zuzu as she and the group turned around, and looked at me. "This Snorlax is asking for help." I replied as I turned to them, and showed them the other Snorlax. "Ah! Where did that one come from!?" she replied. "I don't know? But it wants us to help it wake its friend up." I replied. They blinked their eyes, and then looked at the Snorlax that wanted our help, and then walked over to us. We then looked at the sleeping Snorlax again, and then tried to shake and push it up.
"Hey! Come on, Snorlax! You have to wake up! Your friend wants you to wake up!" said Pat. "Yeah! Wake up, Snorlax! You need to wake up!" Sora replied. "Munch! Munch-Munch!" Munchlax replied. "Just keep on pushing, guys! We can do this!" Zach replied. We kept on pushing the Snorlax for a few more minutes, and then we all sat down on the ground; feeling exhausted. As we did this, a male adult looked at us silently and curiously, and then began to walk over to us. "Man... it won't budge..." said Pat. "Yeah... and it's very stubborn too." Zuzu replied. "Well... how are we supposed to wake it up?" he replied. "I know how you can wake up Snorlax." replied a voice. "Lax?" both Munchlax and Snorlax replied as we looked to our right, and saw the person for the first time. "Who are you?" I asked as I stood up. "My name is Sato. I am a Snorlax expert from Snorlax Village." Sato replied. "Snorlax Village?" I replied curiously.
He nodded his head yes to my response. "Yes. It is a village on Route 13 where people live alongside Snorlax. The village is filled with many fruit trees and houses that make all kinds of food. We give them the food instead of throwing it away, and they live peacefully beside us in the village, protecting us from any threat that comes our way." he said. "Whoa... that's incredible." Celina replied. "Yeah. And the way they give the leftover food to Snorlax shows how much they care for the environment. That's amazing!" Zach replied happily. Sato smiled and nodded his head in thanks to the response, and then we looked at the sleeping Snorlax again; hearing it snore as it stayed still on the entrance. "Snorlax. Protect the kids and their Pokémon for a moment." said Sato. "Snor. Snor-lax." Snorlax replied as it slowly stepped foot in front of us, and guarded us.
"Huh? Hey! What are you doing, Sato?" said Sora. "I know the one way to wake up this Snorlax. So I'm asking this Snorlax to protect you from what you are about to witness." Sato replied. He then took off his bag, and took out an item from it. "Huh!? Wait a second... isn't that..?" said Yuya. "A Poké Flute!?" Zuzu replied surprised. "Yep. This item is mostly seen in public areas that have a big Snorlax population. When they are blocking something, we play this flute to wake them up and make them move out of the way." Sato replied. After that, he began to play the Poké Flute. As he played it, the sleeping Snorlax woke up to the sound of the flute, and then stood up angrily. "Snor-lax!" it said in an enraged tone with glowing red eyes. Some of the group screamed in fear of what we were seeing, and then the enraged Snorlax began to attack.
"Hitmonlee! Use High Jump Kick! Primeape! Use Close Combat!" said Celina as she threw two PokéBalls up in the air, watched open, and saw her two Pokémon appear. "Prime! Prime-ape-ape-ape-ape! Prime-ape!" Primeape replied as he used his attack on Snorlax. "Mon-lee! Hit-mon-lee!" Hitmonlee replied as he used his attack on Snorlax; pushing it back. "Snor! Snor-Snor-Snor-Snor-Snor-lax! Lax!" the enraged Snorlax replied as it roared, charged at them, and hit them with Mega Punch. "Prime!" Primeape cried. "Mon-lee!" Hitmonlee cried. "Ah! Primeape! Hitmonlee! Are you two alright?" Celina replied worriedly as we ran over and checked on them. "Mon... lee..." Hitmonlee replied as he layed on the ground. "Prime... ape..." Primeape replied as he layed on the ground. "They fainted..." Pat replied worriedly. "Snor!" yelled the enraged Snorlax.
We looked at it again, and then saw it jump up in the air and use Body Slam. The Snorlax that was protecting us saw the scared look on our faces, looked up at its friend, and then used Focus Punch on it; knocking it back from us. We blinked our eyes a few times, slowly stood up, and saw the protective Snorlax get into its battle position; ready to fight. "Snor!" it said at its friend; telling it to stop. "Snor-lax!" the enraged Snorlax replied angrily. It then charged at us again, and then knocked us out of the way. We slowly stood up, looked at the enraged Snorlax again, and then it picked me up with its paw. "Ah!" I screamed in fear. "Pika-Pi!" Tetrax replied in fear. "Tay!" the group screamed in fear. I looked at the enraged Snorlax in fear, heard it roar again, and then try to use Mega Punch on me. I closed my eyes in fear to this, and then the protective Snorlax saved me from it with Focus Punch.
The enraged Snorlax threw me up in the air, and then the protective Snorlax caught me in its arms. I opened my eyes, blinked a few times, and the saw the protective Snorlax looking down at me. "Snor-lax?" it asked me; wondering if I was okay. "Yeah. I'm okay. Thank you for saving me." I replied. "Snorlax." it replied. We smiled warmly at each other, and then saw the enraged Snorlax ready to attack us again. The protective Snorlax then put me up on its shoulders and got into its battle stance; ready to fight. "Whoa! Look at that!" said Sora surprised. "Yeah! It's letting her sit on its shoulders, that way she won't get hurt!" Zuzu replied. "Hey, guys! If the enraged Snorlax loses this match, one of you can catch it!" I replied as I turned to them. "Really!?" Celina replied. "Yep!" I replied. "Yes!" she replied. "I call dibs!" Zach replied. "What!? No way! I'm catching it!" she replied. "Sorry, Celina. I called dibs." he replied. "Oh hell no! We're not doing the dibs thing again! You two are not catching this one! I am!" Pat replied. The three Trainers glared at each other angrily; leaving Yuya, Zuzu, and Sora nervous and confused at the same time.
"Snor! Snor-lax!" said the enraged Snorlax as it began surrounding itself in mysterious energy, and began to run towards me. "What the..? Is that... Giga Impact... oh no! Hey! Kid! You gotta get out of the way! Quickly! Snorlax is using Giga Impact! It's Snorlax's most powerful physical attack!" said Sato worriedly. "What!?" the group replied in shock. "Snor! Snor-" the enraged Snorlax replied as it used Giga Impact. "Dodge it!" I replied. "Snorlax!" the protective Snorlax replied as it dodged the attack. The enraged Snorlax ended its attack, and then began to trip on its feet. We stared at it silently, and saw it turn around and roar again. "Snor... Snor-" said the protective Snorlax as it charged up energy in front of its face. Once I saw what the attack was, I knew that this one had to be it. "Snorlax! Use Hyper Beam!" I said. "Snor-lax!" the protective Snorlax replied as it used the attack; hitting the enraged Snorlax in the face and watching it fall down to the ground. "Oh! What a hit!" Sora replied. "Woo hoo! Nice job, Tay and Snorlax!" Zuzu replied. "Yeah! Way to go!" Yuya replied.
As the enraged Snorlax fell to the ground, Zach jumped over the group and took out a PokéBall. "Huh!? Hey!" said Pat and Celina in shock. "Sorry, guys! I called dibs on it first! Go, PokéBall!" he replied as he threw the PokéBall at the fallen Snorlax. It hit the Snorlax and began the capture process. The Ball closed, landed on the ground, shook three times, and then made a dinging sound; confirming the capture. "Snorlax has been registered to your PokéDex." said Zach's Phone. "Yeah!" he replied happily. He ran over to the PokéBall, picked it up, and then raised it up in the air. "Aw yeah! I just caught a Snorlax!" he said. "War-Wartortle!" his Wartortle replied happily. They shared a high five, and then saw the rest of us approach them. "Nice catch, kid. You caught it off guard as it fell to the ground. Well done." said Sato.
"Thanks, Sato. But if there is anyone you should thank more... it would be my friend, Taylor. If it weren't for her and the Snorlax that saved us... we would've been goners." Zach replied. Sato smiled at him, and then looked at me and the Snorlax. "Taylor? I would like to thank you and your friends for dealing with that enraged Snorlax. I'm glad to see all of you now safe from harm." he said. "You're welcome." I replied. "Lax." Snorlax replied as it nodded its head. Sato smiled again, and then we heard some stomachs rumble. "Heh... looks like some of you kids must be hungry?" he asked us. "Yeah... we are. We haven't eaten anything since breakfast this morning." Sora replied. "Munch-lax..." Munchlax replied. "No kidding? Hey! How about you kids come along to Snorlax Village with us? I know the perfect thing you can get there to eat that will keep your stomachs full for a whole day!" he replied. "Really!? That would be awesome!" Sora replied happily. "Munch-Munch!" Munchlax replied happily. After that, we began to follow Sato to Snorlax Village.
Route 13
As we walked along the route, we saw a small group of people on and around a cart that was being gently pulled by a Pokémon. "Hey, Sato? Who are those guys?" said Pat curiously. "Oh, them? They are merchants." Sato replied. "Merchants?" he replied. "Mhm. They are people that are involved in business and trade. We help them by trading food to them to give to the small local food markets and stand vendors, and they trade us tools we need in order to get and make certain foods for our customers all around the region." Sato replied. "Wow... is it legal?" he replied. "Yep. 100% legal. It's how we help the region's economy. We've been even recognized by both the Akaba and Kaiba families for our work and dedication." Sato replied. "That's amazing. It must've made you all so proud of the work you and all of the people that live in the village have done to be recognized by the two richest families in the world." Zach replied.
"Thank you, Zach." Sato replied happily. He smiled back at him, and then they looked up at me as the protective Snorlax still carried me, Tetrax, Pierce, and Aurasoul on its shoulders. "Wow... I have never seen a Snorlax do this with a human before. This is astounding." said Sato. "What? Snorlax just letting her stay up there?" Zach replied curiously. "Mhm. He seems very happy to have your friend up there on his shoulders. This is the calmest I have ever seen him interact with humans." Sato replied. "Really? Has he been very cautious of humans since he was young?" Pat replied. "He is. Let's just say... this Snorlax walking with us right now... is very selective when it comes to people." Sato replied. "Selective? How?" he replied curiously. "He will only listen to people that have a strong sense of justice, and are willing to protect their friends and family." Sato replied.
"Hey! That's exactly like Tay!" Sora replied. "Yeah! She has a strong sense of justice! And she has protected us from many dangerous things." Pat replied. "Really?" Sato replied curiously. "Mhm. Maybe that's why this Snorlax saved her from my Snorlax. He sees her as a human he can trust and form a powerful bond with." Zach replied. "Maybe..?" Sato replied. After their conversation, we walked closer to the merchants, and saw the Pokémon that was moving the cart. "Whoa... check it out. It's a Tauros." said Celina. "Wow... it looks so cool!" Pat replied. He took out his Phone and activated his PokéDex. "Tauros, the Wild Bull Pokémon. A Normal type. They fight each other by locking horns. The herd's protector takes pride in its battle-scarred horns. When it targets an enemy, it charges furiously while whipping its body with its long tails." said Pat's PokéDex. Tauros walked slowly alongside the merchants, and then looked at us silently. We nodded our heads to him, and he nodded his head back to us. He then looked back to the path and continued his journey.
"Wow... I never thought that I would see a calm Tauros up close." said Yuya. "Me either. But it is amazing to see how Tauros can work alongside people when they are calm and focused." Zuzu replied. Yuya nodded his head in agreement to her response, and then we all saw a sign that pointed to Snorlax Village. "Ah ha! We made it! Come on, kids! Time for you all to kick back, relax, have a delicious meal, and meet all the Snorlax that live in our beautiful village!" said Sato happily. We smiled at him happily, and then entered the village with him. As we walked along the path, a small group of Team Rocket Grunts walked out of the bushes from behind us, and looked out to where we were walking. They showed off dirty smirks on their faces, and then one of them took out a communicator. "Proton, sir. We found the kid. She's going into Snorlax Village." said the lead Grunt.
"Excellent. I'm on my way. The Boss will be pleased to hear about his little experiment from five years ago is still alive." Proton replied. "Yes, sir. But what about the Snorlax? Does the Boss want them as well?" the Grunt replied. "Of course he does. Snorlax are one of the most powerful Pokémon in the Kanto region. If we take them all... Team Rocket will be invincible. Now. Go into the village and watch our little experiment for me. Once we corner her... it will make her use her abilities to bring out the other one to guard her. And once we have them both... we'll knock them out and take them back to base." Proton replied. "Yes, sir." the Grunt replied. The Grunt put the communicator away, and then lead their small group into the village.
Snorlax Village
"Here we are! Welcome to Snorlax Village!" said Sato happily as we walked along the path; seeing many log houses and gardens all around us. "Whoa..." we replied as we took in the sight; seeing the people, Pokémon, and the Snorlax that were wandering and resting in the village. "It feels likes I'm inside a giant campground..." Sora replied. "Yeah... the atmosphere here feels... cozy." Pat replied. "It sure does. When living alongside Pokémon in an area like this, it makes you connect more with the nature around you, and makes you see Pokémon as creatures." Sato replied. We nodded our heads in agreement to his response, and took a tour of the village. As we walked around, we took some pictures of the Snorlax interacting with the people and Pokémon in the village. After that, we went to a small restaurant, and got ourselves some lunch to eat.
"Whoa! This is delicious!" said Sora happily. "Munch~" Munchlax replied happily. "Yeah! This is delicious! Thank you for bringing us here, Sato!" Yuya replied happily. "You're very welcome. You kids deserve it after how I saw you all try to get the Snorlax off the route entrance. Not many kids these days have the guts to try and wake up Snorlax on their own. But you all were so brave and never gave up trying. That shows us that you are very passionate about raising Pokémon." Sato replied. We smiled at him happily, and then we saw the Snorlax in the village begin eating fruit off the trees nearby. "Whoa... they sure do really like fruit." said Zuzu. "Mhm. At least they're trying to make sure fruit is in their diet." Celina replied. "Correct. They eat all kinds of food... but these Snorlax really do like to eat the fruits, nuts, and berries off the trees here." Sato replied. The Snorlax ate the food off the trees happily, and then the Snorlax that protected us walked over to us with many fruit, nuts, and berries, and put them down in front of us. "Snor-lax." he said as he sat down behind me.
"Oh? Are you offering them all of the food you picked out, Snorlax?" Sato replied. "Lax." Snorlax replied happily as he nodded his head yes to his question. "And I see that you made yourself a friend?" he replied as he pointed at me. "Lax." Snorlax replied happily. I turned to him and smiled at him happily; making him smile. "Hey, Tay? Does this Snorlax remind you of your brother's Snorlax?" Zach asked me. "Mhm. He sure does. He has the same friendly, protective nature as he does. And when he's in battle... he is a tank. He ain't afraid to end battles with a Belly Drum and Body Slam combo when it comes to tough opponents." I replied. "Snorlax? Snor-Snorlax!" Snorlax replied happily. "Ha ha! I haven't seen him this happy around someone praising about his species in a long time! You just made his day." Sato replied.
"Really?" I replied happily. "Mhm." he replied happily with a nod of his head. "Hey, Sato!" replied a voice. We looked out behind him, and saw a merchant walk upto us. "Oh? Hello, Mercer. I haven't seen you in months. How are you and your family doing?" said Sato. "We've been good. Just been trading left and right with our business partners for the past few months. It's been exhausting, but it's worth it." Mercer replied. He then took something off his cart and put it on our table. "What is this?" Sato asked him. "It's a box of Heavy Balls. I got it from someone who's still making rare PokéBalls with Apricorns. I knew when I first saw it, I thought of you. So after going through business talk, the person who made that PokéBall gave it to me as a gift." he replied. "Wow... this is astounding. Mercer... thank you. How can I ever repay you?" Sato replied. "No need to do so. That gift is on the house. Think about it as me and my family's thank you gift for helping us out over the years." he replied.
Sato smiled at him happily, and then we saw Mercer walk away with his cart. "Sato? Is what he said true? Are PokéBalls really made from Apricorns?" Sora asked. "Mhm. It's true." he replied. "Really!? Wow! Celina! That means what our history teacher said is true!" Sora replied happily. "Yep. Professor Marco was right all along." Celina replied happily. "What's true?" Yuya replied curiously. "PokéBalls are made by using Apricorns. Sora and I learned all about it in our history class this year. He told us that the process of making PokéBalls with them started between 400-700 years ago." she replied. "Correct. Many of our own ancestors have crafted PokéBalls by using Apricorns and Tumblestones centuries ago. But as time had passed, and technology evolved over time... we let machines make PokéBalls for us." Sato replied. "Whoa..." Pat replied in awe. "And... there he goes..." Celina replied. "Yep. Now this information will be stuck in his head forever." Zuzu replied.
"Yeah... but wait... aren't there still people that can make certain PokéBalls like this today?" Zach replied curiously. "Of course. There is one person that still makes PokéBalls like this today. His name is Kurt. He lives in Azalea Town in the Johto region. He is a expert PokéBall mechanic, and is known far and wide as an expert on PokéBalls themselves. Anything you need to know about them, he'll tell you everything you need to know." Sato replied. "In Johto, huh? Guys. We should totally go to Johto and meet Kurt!" Pat replied happily. "Yeah! Let's go to Johto!" Sora replied happily. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, guys! We still have to explore all of Kanto before we can even think about possibly traveling to Johto!" Zach replied. "Zach's right. We still need to explore all of Kanto first before we can even think of traveling to different regions." Celina replied. "Aw come on, Celina! Think of all the Pokémon we can find in Johto! It would be so much fun!" Sora replied.
"Yeah! And who knows how many strong Pokémon are in Johto! I guarantee that there might be a Pokémon there for you that has the power to complete the Battle Frontier challenge and become a Frontier Brain before Yuri." Pat replied. Celina's eyes widened in shock to what he said, and then she began to think of the idea a little more. "Celina, no! Don't do this to us!" said Zuzu worriedly. She looked at Zuzu, saw the shocked look on her face, and then looked back at Pat and Sora. "Guys... I appreciate the offer. But... I think its best for us to keep traveling through Kanto for now." she said. Zach, Yuya, and Zuzu breathed sighs of relief to her response, and then we finished our lunch. We got up from our table, and began to walk around the village on our own. As we walked, the group of Team Rocket Grunts watched us from the shadows; wondering when we will be off guard soon. They began to set up their capture devices silently and talked amongst themselves on how to capture me and the Snorlax.
As they did this, Sora and Munchlax were walking nearby, and they began to hear the voices for the first time. "Munch?" said Munchlax in a soft, curious tone. "Hm? You heard it too?" Sora replied in a hushed tone. "Munch." Munchlax replied as he nodded his head yes to his question. They turned to the bushes, crouched down, crawled through them, and saw the Team Rocket Grunts for the first time. Their eyes widened in shock to see them here, and then they both saw Proton appear for the first time. They covered their mouths in fear, and began to listen to their conversation. "Sir. The child and Snorlax are now fully contained in this forest." said one Grunt. "Excellent." Proton replied. "And according to the Matori Squad... she has grown stronger than the last time we had her in our possession." the second Grunt replied. "But she didn't fight back until she saw the Pokémon in the area were in danger." the first Grunt replied.
"Heh. So... she must've ran away in fear of us when they encountered her? And after they put her in a corner... she finally put up the courage to fight." Proton replied. "Yes, sir." the two Grunts replied. Proton blinked his eyes, smirked at them, and then looked out to the forest. "Well then... let's see how strong she really has become. Prepare the capture cages. It's time we put this mission into overdrive. Not only I want you all to catch the Snorlax here... I want to you to catch the two Guardians. Once you corner the one here... her powers will make the other one appear to come and defend her. Once you have them both, trap them and knock them out!" he said. "Yes, sir!" the Grunts replied. Sora and Munchlax looked at them in fear, and then silently crawled out of the bushes, and ran over to us. "Come on, Munchlax! We've gotta tell her before their plan begins!" said Sora as he got far away from where Team Rocket was. "Munch!" Munchlax replied worriedly.
They ran for a couple more minutes, and then saw me standing by the protective Snorlax. "Tay! Tay!" said Sora worriedly. I quickly turned around, and saw Sora and Munchlax running over to me. "Sora? Munchlax? What's going on? You two okay?" I asked them. They breathed heavily for a moment, and then looked at me. "Tay... you... you need to hide." said Sora. "Huh? Hide? Hide from what?" I replied curiously. "...Team Rocket is here. They're here to get you and all the Snorlax." he replied. My eyes widened in shock and anger to hear about Team Rocket being here, and I felt my Awakened Form begin to activate. "Sora..? Where did you see them?" I asked him. "Way over there in the dark bushes. They have capture cages set up to get the Snorlax. They're also planning to lure the other Guardian here by using you as bait. They want the both of you to send to their Boss." he replied. We looked out to the dark bushes in silence, and then back to each other.
"Tay..? Is there anyway you can tell him that Team Rocket is here?" he asked me. "Maybe..? I can try to send out a Aura Signal and let him sense it and know where to go." I replied. "Okay... but... what are we going to do about the Snorlax? We can't let them take them away from here." he replied. "We won't let them. Sora. I want you to tell the others about this. The Grunts may look tough, but I know you guys can take then down." I replied. He was surprised of my answer for a moment, and then he nodded his head in understanding. "Got it. And as for the leader of this group... you can take him?" he said. I nodded my head yes to his question. "What!? Are you serious!? What if you get hurt again?" he replied. "I only got hurt by them because I let my fears suppress me and make me run away from them. If I let that continue... I would be taken away again and be turned into a weapon. I can't let my fears of them hold me back anymore. It's time that I finally step up and fight back against them. I can't let people like them hold me down and turn me into something I don't want to be. So... I have to fight. I have to fight back... and show them that I am someone that they shouldn't mess with." I replied.
He blinked his eyes, and then nodded his head in understanding. "Okay. Whenever you're ready... we'll join you. And, Tay? If there is a time to unleash your Awakened Form... it would be now. After hearing what you had to say... it's time that you show them what you're made of." he said. "Right." I replied as I nodded my head to him. We shared a fist bump, and then I watched him and Munchlax run off to find the group. "Snor?" said Snorlax concernedly. "Don't worry, Snorlax. We won't let Team Rocket capture you and your friends. I promise." I replied. Snorlax nodded his head in understanding, and then we looked out to the dark bushes again. I clutched my hands into fists, and growled to myself; knowing that this time they aren't giving up on taking me down.
As we did this, I closed my eyes for a moment, and then I opened them again; now in my Awakened Form. I then used my aura all around the Snorlax in the village; sending them the message. They all slowly woke up, stood up, and looked out to me. I then used my aura again to make a powerful signal; letting the cloaked Guardian know where I am and what's going on. We then saw all the other Snorlax in the village walk upto us, and look at us with glowing red eyes. As we stared at each other, we nodded our heads in understanding, and then went to a different part of the village; ready to fight our enemies.
Vermilion City- The Resistance Secret Base
Yuri, Yugo, Rin, Lulu, and Yuto sat around inside the base silently; looking at Shay and Kite as they read new reports of Team Rocket. "Anything interesting, Shay?" Kite asked. "...No. It's all the same. People have seen them in their uniforms walking into business places, and trying to get deals on expensive items and rare Pokémon." Shay replied. "Huh. So they're doing the same old shit from 2 years ago. Why am I not surprised?" Kite replied. "Maybe it's because they're laying low and waiting to do something to lure Taylor and Yuto out of hiding?" Yuri replied. "You'd be correct, Yuri. But what kind of plan are they doing to lure them out?" Kite replied. "Shay would know. He and Tay broke Moltres out of their hidden base in the Underground Path. Maybe they want to use the Legendary Birds to lure them over to Giovanni?" Lulu replied. Shay nodded his head yes to his sister's question, and then he looked at Yuto. "Shay..? Is that true?" Yuto asked him. "It's true." he replied.
"What!? Why would they do that!?" Yugo replied in shock. "Because of the special ability that the Guardians have. They have the ability to fully tame Legendary and Mythical Pokémon." he replied. "Wow... Yuto? Is that true?" Rin replied curiously. "I think so? I haven't tested that before." Yuto replied. "You will someday. The time will come when that happens." Kite replied. Yuto nodded his head in agreement to his response, and then suddenly he began to sense a powerful energy. His eyes widened in shock to the aura around him, and he felt his eyes and Mark glow golden yellow. "Ah! Yuto!? What's going on!?" said Lulu worriedly. He put his hand to his chest, sensed my aura calling out to him, and received the message I sent out to him. His powers stopped a moment later, and then he saw everyone looking at him.
"Yuto..? You alright?" Yugo asked him. "...Yeah... I'm alright." he replied. "What just happened? Did you sense something?" Yuri replied. He nodded his head yes to his question, and then looked out to the doors. "Yuto? What happened? What did you see?" Shay asked. "...It's Taylor. She's in a place called Snorlax Village. And she just found out that Team Rocket is there to go after both her and I." he replied as he turned to him. "What!?" they replied in shock. He nodded his head yes to their response, and then looked back at the doors. "Yuto. Go on and help her out." said Kite. "What!? You're going to let him go and fight Team Rocket by himself!?" Lulu replied worriedly. "He's not going to fight them by himself. Taylor found a way to send him a message from afar, and she's letting him know where our enemy is. And from what it looks like... she needs his help to stop them." Shay replied. Yuto nodded his head yes to his response, and then put on his goggles and mask. He then put his hood on over his head, and looked at the group silently.
"Be careful out there, Yuto. Once you help her take down Team Rocket... be sure that the both of you get some answers to what Giovanni wants with the both of you." said Kite. "...I will." Yuto replied. He then hugged Yugo, Yuri, Rin, and Lulu, and then waved goodbye to the group. "Yuto. We'll be there soon. Make sure that you two don't get hurt." said Shay. He nodded his head in understanding, went outside, looked around the area, and then used Teleport; hoping to reach me in time.
Snorlax Village
A moment had passed, and he made it to the village safely. He looked around cautiously, and then he saw a pair of glowing red eyes in the shadows. He quickly got into his battle stance, and then saw me walk out of the shadows. His eyes widened in fear to see me in my Awakened Form, and then he saw me extend my hand to him. "Hey. You made it." I said. "...Tay..? Is that... really you?" he replied nervously. I nodded my head yes to his question, and he breathed a sigh of relief, and then shook my hand. "And, yeah... I made it just in time. So? How did you find out that they were here?" he asked. "My friend, Sora, told me. He and his Munchlax found them deep in the forest with capture cages and electric rods. They overheard them talking about their plan to capture all the Snorlax here... and the both of us." I replied.
"I see. And the way they want to take us is by using you as bait to lure me to them?" he replied. I nodded my head yes to his question, and then we saw my group walk upto us with the Snorlax. He looked at them silently, and then he saw Yuya now a part of my group. "Hey, Yuya. Long time no see." he said. "Hey. How've you been?" Yuya replied as he walked upto him. "I've been fine. Just been wandering around, and then I received her message about what's going on here." he replied. "Message? How did she send you a message?" Yuya replied as he crossed his arms. "She used her powers to send me a message through Aura." he replied. "An Aura Signal?" Sora replied curiously. He nodded his head yes to his question, and then they all looked back at me; seeing my crimson red eyes. "Surprised to see her fully control the Awakened Form for the first time?" Zach asked.
"Yeah... how..? How did she do it?" he replied. "She went to Astraea Forest, and met the Guardian of Purity of the Heart. She helped her understand why her Awakened Form lost control before, and helped her purify her heart of any darkness inside it." Zach replied. "Really? Tay? Is this true?" he replied. "It's true. After coming to an understanding with one another... we both became one." I replied. "Became... one?" he replied curiously. I nodded my head yes to his response, and then we heard rustling in the bushes nearby. We quickly turned to them, and then saw Team Rocket Grunts moving in the distance. "They're they are." Zuzu whispered. "Okay. What's the plan?" Pat whispered. "You guys handle the Grunts. He and I will take care of their leader in this mission. We need to know exactly what their Boss wants with us." I replied as I looked at our new ally.
Everyone nodded their heads in understanding, and then we began going our separate ways. As we walked, Yuto noticed a new, serious look in my eyes. He then began to remember what Yuya had told him of our previous encounter with Team Rocket, and how I let my fears take over me the last time. He blinked his eyes, and then put his hand on my shoulder; making me turn to him curiously. "You okay?" I asked him. "Yeah. I'm fine. How about you? You okay?" he replied. "...Yeah. I'm okay." I replied. "You sure? This is the first time in years you're going to fight them in this Form." he replied. I blinked my eyes, sighed, and nodded my head yes to his response. "I know. But... I... I've never really had full control of this Form before... until now. So... I guess I'm just curious on how I can beat them without fully going..." I replied. "Berserk?" he replied.
I nodded my head yes to his question. "Well... like you said. You and your Awakened Form have basically become one with one another. You both now understand each other and made a vow to protect each other. Will this make you stronger? Absolutely. Trust me, I know what it's like. I made a vow with the same Form you're now a couple years ago. But you and your Form need to realize is that if someone pushes you both too far... there will be no turning back on what you two might actually become." he replied. I took his words to heart, and nodded my head in understanding. He nodded back, and then I saw his eyes glow crimson red for the first time. My eyes lightly widened in surprise to see this, and then we showed off our Marks to each other. "Now let's show them what we're made of." he said. "Right." I replied. After that, we continued our walk; ready for our battle.
Near the Village
Proton and his Grunts walked out of the bushes silently, looked out to the village, and saw a lone group of Snorlax sleeping nearby. "Perfect. Alright, Grunts! Grab 'em!" he said. "Yes, sir!" the Grunts replied. They ran off from him, and then sent out some of their Pokémon: Rattata, Raticate, Koffing, Weezing, Ekans, Arbok, Grimer, Muk, Zubat, and Golbat. "Alright, guys! Attack them! Now!" said the lead Grunt. "Yes, sir!" the Grunts replied. The Pokémon they sent out let out their battle cries, charged at the Snorlax, and then were grabbed by psychic energy. "What!?" said the Grunts in shock. "What the hell!? Who just did that!?" the lead Grunt replied in shock. The Pokémon were tossed aside, and then they saw the group of Snorlax wake up; showing them their glowing red eyes. "Ah! W-What!? What is this!?" the lead Grunt yelled in shock.
The Snorlax stood up slowly, and then my group walked out of the shadows with their teams and the other Snorlax. "Huh? What the hell? It's just a group of kids?" said one Grunt. "Team Rocket! We won't let you take away these Snorlax! They belong to the people that live in the village!" Zach replied. "And we won't let you take them and the Guardians to your Boss just to sell a buck and take over the planet!" Celina replied. The Grunts were surprised by their words, and then the lead Grunt smirked at them. "So... you kids know what we're planning to do here, huh? You little brats just never learn to mind your own business." he said. Zach, Celina, and the group stared down the Grunts, and prepared their PokéBalls; ready to fight. "So? You brats really do wanna fight to protect those two Guardians? Alright then! Let's get 'em! Go, Rhyperior!" said the lead Grunt as he threw up a PokéBall in the air, watched it open, and saw his Rhyperior appear in front of the Grunts.
"Rhy-perior!" yelled Rhyperior. "So he's got a Rhyperior, huh? Must be his strongest one." Pat replied. "Yeah. But with the Snorlax all on our side, they'll help us wear them out." Sora replied. Pat nodded his head in agreement, and then turned back to the Team Rocket Grunts; ready to fight. "Okay, team! Go! Take them down!" said the lead Grunt. "Yes, sir!" the Grunts replied. After that, our foes charged at the group, and then the group charged back at them; beginning the battle. As the battle began, Proton looked at this in surprise; wondering how this happened. "What..? How are those Snorlax awake right now? They were just asleep awhile ago." he said to himself. He watched the battle closely, and then heard something from behind him. He slowly turned around, heard bushes rustling , and then went into the forest on his own.
Inside the Forest
He walked around silently, stood in the middle, saw sunlight shining on him, and then saw a pair of glowing red eyes staring at him. He prepared a Pokémon in his hand, and then saw me ans Yuto walk out of the shadows. "Well, well... you two Guardians found each other after all?" he said. We stared him down silently and used Thunder Cage to trap him and ourselves inside it. "Oh? Now you're making sure that I don't run, huh? That means that you two are really willing to put up a fight." he said. He then threw up a PokéBall in the air, watched it open, and saw his partner Pokémon appear. "Cro-bat!" it said. "Heh. Guardians. Allow me to introduce to you my strongest Pokémon: Crobat." he replied. "Bat!" Crobat replied.
We stared at it silently, and then got into our battle stances; ready to fight. He smirked back at us, and then pointed at us. "Alright, Crobat! Let's see how strong these Guardians really are!" he said. "Crobat!" Crobat replied. It then quickly flew towards us, and then Yuto used Psycho Cut on it; pushing it back from us. "Crobat! Are you alright?" he asked it. "Bat!" Crobat replied. "Hmph. That's perfect. Now! Sick 'em with your Poison Fang!" he replied. "Bat! Cro-bat!" Crobat replied as it used the attack. We dodged it with ease and used Thunder Punch and Ice Punch on Crobat; pushing it away from us again. Crobat then flew back to us, and we fought it again for a few moments; watching its wings and fangs as it got close and when it was at a distance. "Oh? So you both know of Crobat's weaknesses? Well then... let's see if you can handle this! Leech Life!" he replied. "Crobat! Cro-bat!" Crobat replied as it used the attack. Once Crobat came close, Yuto used Protect to stop the attack, and then I used Thunder Punch again on Crobat; knocking it down to the ground.
"Ah! Crobat!" he said worriedly. Crobat slowly got up, and stared the two of us down; wondering how we were this strong. I then used Psychic to pick up Crobat, and then Yuto used Hyper Beam on it; sending it to the wall of the cage; making it shock itself. "Bat!" Crobat cried. "Crobat!" he replied worriedly. It then fell down to the ground and fainted. He returned it to its PokéBall, and looked at us angrily. "Why you no good little! Go, Weezing!" he yelled as he took out a second PokéBall, threw it, watched it open, and saw Weezing appear. "Weezing." it said. After that, we charged at Weezing; ready to take it down.
Near the Village
The group and the Grunts continued their battle effortlessly. Pushing each other back and forth with brute strength, but some of the weaker Grunts were overpowered by the Snorlax that fought back with Mega Punch, Focus Punch, High Horsepower, Heavy Slam, Body Press, Body Slam, Hyper Beam, and Giga Impact. As the Grunts were overpowered, Pat snook away from the group, went behind the lead Grunt, and saw all the tech he had with him. "There they are. Magnemite. Take down all the devices by combining Metal Sound and Shock Wave." he said. "Magnemite. Mag-ne-mite!" Magnemite replied as it used Metal Sound on the devices while Pat covered his ears, and then used Shock Wave on the capture devices; destroying them.
"Huh!? Hey!? What the hell!? How did you get over here!?" said the lead Grunt. Pat looked at the lead Grunt, and then pointed at him. "Magnemite! Use Thunder Wave!" he said. "Mite! Mag-ne-mite!" Magnemite replied as it used the attack on the lead Grunt; paralyzing him. He screamed in pain, and saw his Rhyperior turn to him in shock. "Rhy!? Rhy-perior!" roared Rhyperior. "Ah! Guys! Help me!" Pat replied in fear. As Rhyperior began to use Rock Wrecker, Inteleon saved him before the attack hit him and Magnemite. He breathed a sigh of relief as Inteleon brought him back to the group. "Thanks, Inteleon." he said. "Teleon." Inteleon replied. "Pat! You're okay!" Celina replied happily as she hugged him; making him blush wildly.
"Dude! You alright?" Zach asked him. "Uh... yeah... I'm okay. Magnemite and I disabled their devices and fried them to a crisp." he replied as he and Celina ended their hug. They smiled at each other, and then saw the Grunts looking at them in shock. "No way... they broke the devices..." said one Grunt. "How the hell did they do that?" another Grunt replied. The group then turned to the Grunts, smirked at them, and then pointed at them. "Ivysaur! Razor Leaf! Aipom! Swift! Magnemite! Shock Wave! Psyduck! Water Gun!" said Pat. His Pokémon let out their battle cries and used their attacks on their foes. "Poliwhirl! Water Pulse! Aerodactyl! Iron Head! Abra! Shadow Ball! Zubat! Air Cutter! Nidorina! Earth Power! Venusaur! Frenzy Plant!" said Celina. Her Pokémon let out their battle cries, and used their attacks on their foes.
"Drowzee! Psybeam! Slurpuff! Energy Ball! Mankey! Thrash! Weepinbell! Power Whip! Munchlax! Giga Impact!" said Sora. His Pokémon let out their battle cries, and used their attacks on their foes. "Roserade! Sludge Bomb! Milotic! Ice Beam! Pikachu! Thunderbolt! Ninetales! Fire Blast!" said Zuzu. Her Pokémon let out their battle cries, and used their attacks on their foes. "Boltund! Wild Charge! Flygon! Dragon Pulse! Clefairy! Moonblast! Inteleon! Snipe Shot! Charizard! Flare Blitz!" said Yuya. His Pokémon let out their battle cries, and used their attacks on their foes. "Wartortle! Water Pulse! Growlithe! Flamethrower! Pidgeotto! Air Slash! Abra! Psychic! Snorlax! Hyper Beam!" Zach replied. His Pokémon let out their battle cries and used their attacks; knocking out their foes.
They celebrated their victory together for a moment, and then tied up the Grunts in a strong rope. "There. That should hold them for a while." said Zuzu. "Yeah. But what about their leader? How are the Guardians handling him?" Pat replied. After he said that, everyone heard an explosion nearby. Everyone looked out to the forest, and then saw Proton up in the sky for a moment, and then fly down towards them. He landed on the grass in pain, slowly got himself to sit up, and then saw his Weezing land onto the ground in pain. He tried reaching to it, but then he saw Yuto and I appear in front of him. His eyes widened in fear to see us, and then he saw the three Abra's from my group appear and hold him and the Grunts down with Psychic.
"Ow! Hey! Let me go!" he said. "We don't think so." I replied. He growled and tried to fight back, but my Abra made his psychic power stronger; making him physically unable to move his arms and legs. "Now, talk. Where is Giovanni?" I asked him. He looked at me surprised for a moment, and then laughed. "You can't be serious? Is this why you decided to fight me? You just want to know where my Boss is. Ha! That's a laugh!" he said. "Don't play dumb with us, Proton. You know exactly where Giovanni is hiding. Where is he? And what does he want with us?" Yuto replied. "Yeah! What he said! What does Giovanni want with them?" Zach replied. Proton blinked his eyes, looked at his Grunts, looked back at us, and then showed a dark smirk on his face. "You kids really wanna know what he wants from you?" he said. "Yeah. We do. And if you don't tell us the truth... I will personally drag your soul down to the afterlife and put you in purgatory for all of eternity. And it won't be the happy afterlife that Giovanni promised you when you signed your soul to him." I replied as I made energy claws and put them at his throat; shocking everyone around me.
"Okay, okay, okay. You both want the truth so badly? Fine. I'll tell you the truth. He's hiding deep in his new base. As for it's location... you're better off by interrogating Archer for the location. And as for his goal. My Boss wants to have you both in his possession in order to obtain every single Pokémon in the universe, and use you as his powerful weapons and enforcers to eliminate everyone that will stand against him. And once when he controls the world... he will use you to summon Arceus to him and catch it for himself." he said. Our eyes widened in shock to his answer, and then the group looked at each other worriedly. "So that's what he wants with them... he wants to use them and their powers to summon Arceus!" said Pat. "Correct. With the power of the Alpha Pokémon itself... alongside the Guardians that it had created centuries ago... he will be unstoppable. Not only will you two will be his strongest enforcers... you two will be his ultimate weapons of destruction. If anyone does not give up their lives to Team Rocket... he will use you both to eliminate everyone that stands in his way." he replied.
We looked at him angrily, and then we saw all the Snorlax looking down at him and the Grunts angrily. "And what about the Snorlax? Why were you targeting them?" I asked. "Because of their rarity. They are one of the most rare Pokémon to find all over the Kanto region. It's not everyday that you get to see a location where only rare Pokémon like them live and thrive. That's why we, Team Rocket, target rare and powerful Pokémon like them. The more rare and powerful they are... the more money we make, and make a powerful future for people like us. Pokémon are nothing more than business and tools." he replied. My eyes widened in anger after he said that, and then I grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him upto my face; growling angrily at him. Yuto then put his hand on my shoulder, and I turned to him. "Let him go. We've got the information we wanted out of him. If we strike again, who knows what kind of trouble we'll be in?" he said. I blinked my eyes, and then let him go; hearing him and the Grunts breathe a sigh of relief.
"Well..? What do we do with them now? Hand them to the International Police?" Zach asked us. "No. They've been through them before. They never even budged on flipping on their leader." I replied. "She's right. They would never turn on him. Even if it would mean they would get to be in prison for a short amount of time." Yuto replied. The group looked at us in shock, and then we saw Proton and the Grunts smirk at us. We then saw the Snorlax stand around us, and then we smirked back. "Hey? You thinking what I'm thinking?" I asked. "Yep. I was thinking the same thing. Shall we end this properly?" Yuto replied. "Let's." I replied. We made our Marks glow brightly and watched the Snorlax charge up their Hyper Beam attack; ready to send our foes flying.
"Ah! H-Hey! What are you two think you're doing!? I just gave all the information that you two needed to know about Giovanni!? Why are you two doing this!? I thought we had a deal!" yelled Proton. "A deal? Who said we had a deal? Did you hear him say that we had a deal?" Yuto replied as he turned to me. "Nope. I didn't hear about a deal at all. I'm pretty sure that we only encountered you and your Grunts in order to get information about their leader. That was the only thing we wanted from them." I replied. He nodded his head in agreement, and then we saw my, Zach, and Celina's Abra's pick up the Grunts and their Pokémon by using Psychic, and then threw them up in the air. We heard them scream as they began to fall down, and then we saw the Snorlax fire off their Hyper Beams, and launch them far away from us. "Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!" they yelled. After that, they disappeared way off into the distance.
The group celebrated happily to our victory, and then we saw all the Snorlax turn back to normal and celebrate with us. As we celebrated, the villagers came out of their homes and celebrated the victory themselves as well; knowing now the threat of Team Rocket has passed. After that, we all watched the Snorlax return to their sleeping spots all around the village; happy now to be resting and eating their favorite foods all over again in peace. We smiled happily to this, and then walked back to the center of the village. As we walked, Yuya looked around and noticed that Yuto had disappeared. He looked all around himself, and then saw him looking out to the village with his group. He blinked his eyes, saw him take off his hood, goggles, and mask; staring at him and my group. They lightly smiled at each other, nodded their heads to one another, and then watched him and his group leave the area.
Entrance to the Village- Sunset
"Trainers... thank you. Thank you so much for protecting our beloved Snorlax and saving our village from Team Rocket. You all are forever in our debt." said Sato. "You're welcome." Sora replied happily. "And if anyone like them appears here again to take the Snorlax, make sure to give us a call and we'll be there." Zach replied. Sato smiled, nodded his head, and then handed us a Heavy Ball each. "Here. As a way to thank you all. Please, take these Heavy Balls. You deserve them after all the hard work that you have done here today." he said. "Really..? Wow... Sato... thank you..." Yuya replied. "You're very welcome." he replied. After that, we said our goodbyes to him and everyone in the village, and then left the village. As we left, the protective Snorlax that saved my life watched us leave silently, and then began to follow us; wondering where we will go next.
Route 13 entrance
"Huh!? Lavender Town is still blocked!? Aw, man..." said Pat. "Yeah... looks like we are going to take the Rock Tunnel route after all." Zach replied. We nodded our heads in agreement to his response, and then began to walk to the bridge. As we walked, I felt something lightly grab my Bag, and pick me up in the air. "Ah!" I said as I was lifted in the air. The group turned around curiously, and then we all saw the protective Snorlax hugging me. "Huh!? Hey! It's the Snorlax that saved Tay's life!" said Celina surprised. "What's he doing all the way out here? Did he follow us?" Zuzu replied. "From the looks of it... yeah. He did follow us." Yuya replied. Snorlax gently put me down on the ground, and we looked at each other happily. "I guess he personally wants to thank you for keeping your promise, Tay." said Sora. "Lax." Snorlax replied happily as he nodded his head yes to his response.
"You're very welcome, Snorlax. Now with Team Rocket gone from the village... no one can harm you or the villagers anymore." I replied. "Snorlax." he replied happily. He then saw the Heavy Ball in my hand, and then poked it with his claw. "Huh? What's he doing?" Pat asked. "I guess he's curious of the Heavy Ball?" Sora replied. "Maybe..?" he replied. Snorlax poked it again, and then he gently poked me with his claw. Once I recognized the pattern, I smiled at him happily. "Snorlax? Are you trying to tell me that you want me to catch you?" I asked him. "Snor-lax." he replied as he nodded his head yes to my question. "What!? He wants you to catch him!?" Sora replied. "Lax." he replied. "Snorlax? Do you want her to catch you because of how you saw her keep her promise to you?" Sora replied. "Snor-lax." he replied as he nodded his head yes to his question.
He then took a few steps back from me, and then did a throwing motion at me. "Heh. Looks like he's ready." said Pat. "Yep. He's sure is. I guess after he saw how Tay was committed to protect his homeland and his kind, he decided with his heart that he wanted to go with her." Yuya replied. "Yeah. Like Sato said... this Snorlax only trusts and respects people that care about Pokémon like him." he replied. Yuya nodded his head in agreement, and then they saw me preparing to throw the Heavy Ball at Snorlax. "You ready, Snorlax?" I said. "Snor!" he replied happily. I smiled happily at him, and then threw the Heavy Ball at him. Once it touched him, it began the capture process. The Ball closed, landed on the ground, shook three times, and then made a dinging sound; confirming the capture.
"Snorlax has been registered to your PokéDex." said my Phone. I walked over to the Heavy Ball, picked it up, smiled at it happily, and then raised it up in the air. "Alright! I caught a Snorlax!" I said. "Pi-Pikachu!" Tetrax cheered happily. "Rai-Rai!" Pierce cheered happily. "Congrats, Tay." Zach replied happily. "Thanks, Zach." I replied happily as we shared a high five. He then wrapped his arm around my shoulders, and then we all walked back to Vermilion City. When we made it the Pokémon Center, we went inside, healed our teams, went back outside, and then teleported to Cerulean City.
Cerulean City Hotel
"Ah! Home sweet home!" said Pat as he layed back on his bed. "Wow... you guys weren't kidding about this hotel room. It's really nice." Yuya replied. "See! We told you! Not only is this the best looking hotel room ever! You also get quite a view of the region from the patio!" Sora replied. They walked out of the boy's bedroom and saw Zach cooking up some dinner. "Mm-mm! Chef Zach is working the kitchen once again!" said Pat happily. Zach laughed happily to his response, and then they all noticed that me, Zuzu, and Celina weren't around. "Huh? Where did the girls go?" he asked. "Knowing them... they probably went to take their showers or baths." Pat replied. "Because they need the time to look perfectly clean?" Sora replied. "Yep. That's almost every woman for ya. They always want to make sure that they are perfectly clean before they either start the day, or before going to bed for the night." he replied.
"Wow, Pat. You must be a real ladies man when you put it that way." Sora replied. "Well... when you live in a house with mostly girls... you will get the picture of what it's like to live with one." he replied. "Ah... now I getcha." Sora replied. After he said that, Zuzu and Celina came out of the girl's room and walked into the living room. "Hey, guys." said Zuzu. "Hey. You girls all settled in for the night?" Yuya replied. "Yep. We sure are." she replied as she and Celina nodded their heads yes to his question. They smiled at each other, and most of the group sat down in the living room while Zach continued to cook dinner. As dinner was being set on the table, I walked out of the girl's room and saw everyone at the table.
"There she is." said Zach as he set a plate down on the table. "Hey. Wow... dinner smells great. Nice work, Zach." I replied. "Thanks, Tay." he replied with a warm smile. "Yeah. Dinner smells and looks great. You did a really good job with it, Zach." Celina replied. "Thank you, Celina." he replied. We sat down at the table together, and ate our dinner together. As we ate, we told little stories that made us smile and laugh happily together. And it felt like the old days with the group back at school. I guess you can say that we felt nostalgic when having a good time like this."Hey guys? Do you think there are more rare Pokémon out there that we have never seen before?" Sora asked us. "Yeah. I think so. It just depends on the kind of rare Pokémon that you are looking for." Zach replied. "Yeah. Who knows how many kinds of rare Pokémon are out there in the world. Are they powerful? Are they the same strength as many common Pokémon? Are they Legendary? Are they Mythical?" he replied.
"Mythical? That's a big kind of rare Pokémon to find." Yuya replied. "It is?" Zuzu replied. "Mhm. Mythical Pokémon are mostly heard of in stories passed down from people way older than us, and how they connect to their regions. But in order to see one physically... you would have to be a very special person who is kind-hearted, and deemed strong by them." he replied. "Wow... I wonder if we'll ever meet a Mythical Pokémon one day?" Sora replied. "I'm sure we will, Sora. Maybe we will find one somewhere while traveling through the region one day." Zuzu replied. "Really?" he replied happily. She smiled and nodded her head yes to him; making him smile. After that, we finished our dinner, got ourselves into our PJ's, sat down in the living room with some of our Pokémon, and watched a couple movies together. As the second movie ended, we all fell asleep for the night; cuddling with our Pokémon after a long day of traveling.
Power Plant
As the world slept for the night, the sounds of electricity began to crackle a bit by many kinds of Electric-type Pokémon that live inside the area. As they slept and moved around, a group of small Steel-type Pokémon were eating metal all around them. These Pokémon were made of a silvery liquid metal called: gallium, have golden hexagonal nuts for heads with small, black spheres for eyes, and small red and blue electrical wires for tails. These Pokémon were eating metal in a hidden room inside the building in peace, until they began to hear a sound nearby. They looked around cautiously, and then saw Team Rocket Grunts walking around outside their room. They slowly moved towards the door, and then began to listen to the voices. A few of them looked out the crack of the door and saw Team Rocket Grunts for the first time.
"Dammit! Proton and his squad failed in capturing the Guardians and the Snorlax!" yelled one Grunt. "I know right! How the hell did they outsmart him? He is the most brutal Admin to ever face. And I thought the Admin with red hair was scary..." another Grunt replied. "Yeah... that's true. By the way? What happened to Proton and his squad?" the first Grunt replied. "I heard that they were found near Vermilion Beach and taken by medical members of the team back to base and are healing their wounds as we speak. But I also heard that the Boss is really pissed after he told the Guardians what the Boss really wants from them." the second Grunt replied. "No shit, eh? I know that the Boss gets mad... but I never heard that he was that mad." the first Grunt replied.
"Yep. He's wicked pissed. And everyone knows what happens when you really piss people like him off." the second Grunt replied. The first Grunt nervously gulped and nodded his head in agreement. After that, they walked away from the door and out of the building. After that, all of the mysterious Pokémon slowly got out of the room and looked around the area; wondering why the Grunts were here.
Thank you so much for reading Chapter 24 of the story! Man... this one was an interesting one. Not only was I doing my own version of encountering Snorlax on Route 12, I also brought in the introduction of Team Rocket Executive/Admin: Proton! If I had to pick one of my favorite Admins of this evil team... it would be Proton. Not only because of his looks, but his backstory is something that we all don't know of. We don't even know how he joined Team Rocket. Was it to get revenge on someone? Or was he fully influenced by Giovanni? Hopefully one day Game Freak will possibly give us that information.
And, we also have the debut of the Mythical Pokémon: Meltan! Even though I didn't reveal its name at the end of the Chapter... I'm sure that you all knew it was Meltan in the Power Plant after describing it's design. Who knows what all these Meltan are doing in there? Is it there home? Or were they stolen by Team Rocket and escaped from them a long time ago? Time will only tell whenever we see them again.
