*Jack's P.O.V.*
"We need to warn the Guardians."
Izzy and the Turtles nodded in agreement before I jumped up and floated in the air. "You guys go and try and find the Nightmare. I'll fly over to the North Pole and warn North about the Nightmare and to tell him to summon the Guardians." I said to them and was about to turn and fly to the Pole, but Izzy grabbed my hand, stopping me.
Still in the air, I turned to her with a frown and was about to ask her what's wrong but she pulled me down and kissed me on the lips. I was shocked for a moment but quickly snapped out of it and returned the kiss. We pulled away from the kiss and she looked me deep into my blue eyes with her green eyes. "Please be careful."
I smiled softly at Izzy before squeezing her hand slightly. "Don't worry, I'll be at the North Pole before you know it. And if I run into Pitch, I'll send him an ice blast so strong, that he gets frostbite!" I said with a smirk and send a small wink at Izzy. She just smiled slightly before letting my hand, but I could still see the worry in her eyes.
"I'll be fine," I said to her before looking back up at the Turtles, serious. "You guys be careful." They nodded at me before I let Izzy's hand go and floated a bit higher up. I looked down at them to see if they're okay before calling out to the wind.
"Hey Wind!" I called out to it, and when I felt the wind in my hair and a stronger breeze, I continued, "Take me to the North Pole!" I finished as I gripped onto my staff with both hands tightly and let the wind carry me up and taking me to the North Pole.
I got to the North Pole quicker with the help of the wind, but not as fast as what I hoped for. I knew time was not in our favor, so when I reached the North Pole, I flew as fast as I can to the workshop and started flying around, searching for an open window to get into the workshop.
I groaned in frustration after flying to every window I could find and finding it close. But luck was on my side when I turned to fly again and saw a window wide open. I smirked to myself and flew over to the window. Before flying in, I stopped and looked inside to see if the wasn't any Yeti's that would stop me from entering.
When I didn't see any, I smirk again for the luck I have tonight. "Booyakasha." I said to myself with a winning smirk before flying into the workshop. But my luck soon run out when a Yeti walked into the room and saw me. "Frost-apples." I mumbled before flying as fast as I can over the Yeti and into the toy making room.
The other Yeti's saw me and tried to catch me, but I quickly dodged and flew over them before they could reach me. As I was dodging them and flying over their heads, I started laugh as I watched them running into each other or tripping over the elves as they tried to catch me.
But my laughter soon stopped when I saw the Yeti that was always able to catch me when I was trying to bust into the North Pole Workshop before I became a Guardian. "Hey Phil..." I said nervously as the Yeti, Phil, send me a death glare. His one hand formed a fist and he punched his fist into his hand, without breaking eye contact with me.
I gulped nervously as I landed softly with my hands in the air. "I know I'm not allowed in here, but I really need to see North." I said to Phil without lowering my hands down, but Phil just kept glaring at me before shouting at me in Yeti, making me flinched a bit. "I know, I know! I'm sorry busted in and took a snow globe!"
Phil screamed again in Yeti, causing me to nod as I listen to him. "I know, I wasn't allowed to take a snow globe! But I just wanted to have some fun with my friends in the North Pole in the snow!" I said as I slowly lowered my hands. Phil exclaimed again at me in Yeti, causing me to groan, a bit annoyed.
"Phil! I just took two snow globes! Okay, I used one to take them to the North Pole and the other one to take them back! I didn't take anything else!" I exclaimed at him, but I mentally slapped myself when I realized I just gave myself up.
Phil's eyes widen in shock, quickly turning back into a glare as he started screaming at me again in Yeti and raised up two fingers. "Yes... I took 2 snow globes." I muttered but he just kept screaming at me. I groaned and floated up, "Look, I don't have time for this!" I exclaimed, causing Phil to get quiet, but still glaring at me. "I need to see North!"
I went to fly over him fast, but he grabbed me by my foot and pull me back. I yelped in surprised, but I quickly tapped his hand with my staff, forming a small frost pattern on his hand. Phil screamed in shock, letting my foot go and started rubbing the frost off his hair. While he was distracted, I jumped up again and flew fast to North's office.
Wasn't long before I heard screaming and calling out to me. I looked slightly over my shoulder and saw him running after me. "Uh oh!" I said and started flying even faster, and higher up. Phil must have called for backup, because soon, their was Yeti's everywhere, trying to catch me. I started zig-zagging around them, making them confuse and making them run into each other as the try to get me.
When I saw a clear path to North's office, I quickly flew over and opened the door without knocking. "North!" I exclaimed as I threw the door open and landed in front of his office. But when I opened the door, the door accidently broke the ice train that was flying around the office.
I flinched slightly when I saw the broken train and flinched even more when North exclaimed when he saw his hard work on the ground and broken. "Yeah... that was entirely my fault..." I said slowly as North groaned, his hands rubbing his nose between his eyebrows. "Jack... you're suppose to knock before entering!" He exclaimed as he removed his hands from his face and send me a death glare.
I flinched slight at the glare, but snapped out of it when I remembered the reason why I came. "Sorry about that, but I need to talk to you!" I started but was cut off by North as he started exclaiming at me annoyed. "What are you doing here Jack? You're grounded from North Pole! How did you even get in here? How did you past the Yeti's? How did you get past Phil?"
Before I could answer him, Phil run up to us, out of breath, before glaring at me and grabbing me by my hoodie. Phil was about to pick me up, but quickly tapped his hand again with my staff, causing him to let me go and rubbing the frost off his hair. I turned to North and saw he was about to start again with his exclaiming but I quickly spoke before he could.
"Pitch is back."
Both North and Phil froze and there was total silence in the whole workshop after my comment. North soon blinked out of his shock and stood up from his chair with a frown. "What?" He asked me softly as he walked over to me. I sighed softly through my nose before looking up at Santa Clause. "Pitch is back... The Boogeyman is back."
North blinked his eyes a bit in shock, pacing a bit in his office. He stopped his pacing soon and turned to me, his face full of seriousness. "Are you sure?" "Of coarse I'm sure!" I exclaimed as I run my hand through my hair, annoyed and nervous. "I saw the nightmare with my own eyes! And the second I saw it, I started chasing it down, but I lost it!"
"Where did you see it?" North asked as he walked out off his office, towards the Globe room, with me following behind. "In New York." I answered, causing North to frown and sending me a 'questioning' look without stopping. "New York? What are you doing in New York?" He asked as we got into the elevator. "I met Bunny's daughter, Izzy. We became friends, along with her brothers." I answered before stepping out of the elevator with North.
"Brothers?" "It's a long story." I said with a slight groan, annoyed at Bunny for not telling the Guardians about Izzy's new family. "Anyway, I was visiting them, and we all saw the nightmare in their home." I continued as we walked towards the Globe. "And you sure it was really a nightmare and not just a shadow." North asked as we stopped in front of the Globe.
"North, it was a horse made from black sand, with bright, yellow, evil eyes. I'm pretty sure." I said as he turned to face me. He sighed softly as he closed his eyes, but quickly opened them when he heard a neigh. We turned to the sound, and saw a nightmare standing on top off the Globe. Before anyone of us could do anything, the nightmare burst, and it's black sand suddenly covered the Globe.
I jumped up and went to fly over to the Globe to freeze the sand, but the black sand burst again, sending out a shockwave of some kind, and sending me to crash into a wall. "Jack!" North cried out as he run over to check on me. "I'm fine!" I groaned as I got up. But I froze, along with North when we saw how the black sand formed a shadow of the Boogeyman.
The shadow laughed an evil laugh as it flew out of the shop. We stood still for a bit, our eyes still staring where we saw the shadow last before I decided to speak again. "You believe me now?" North sigh softly before standing up and walking over to the table in front of the Globe.
"Jingle! Make preparations!" North said before turning to the table in front of him and grabbed the handle that was on the table. "We're going to have some company." He finished as he turned the handle, sending out the Northern Lights, calling the Guardians.
"This better be good North!" Bunny exclaimed as he hopped into the room and over to the fireplace, warming his feet. I laughed softly as I sat on the roof railing with my hood up, waiting for the rest of the Guardians to arrive. Tooth was here first, and now we are only waiting for Sandy. Luckily we didn't have to wait so long.
"Thank you for coming Sandy!" North said to him after Sandy got out of his sand airplane. Sandy soon started showing pictures above his head with an annoyed face. "I know, I know. You are busy, but I wouldn't have called you all if it wasn't serious!" North said, catching all of their attention.
"The Boogeyman was here! At the Pole!" North exclaimed, in a voice full seriousness, causing the rest of the Guardians to stare at him in surprise and shock. "Pitch? Pitch Black? Here?" Tooth asked in shock, but soon frowned when she looked around. "Wait, where's Jack?"
"Up here!" I called out, making the Guardians look up. They all (except North) sighed in relief when they saw me, knowing that was here and alright. "Oh thank goodness!" Tooth exclaimed as she laid her hand over her heart. I smiled softly at them before flying down slowly and landing next to the couch. I took my hood off and sat down on the couch's arm rest.
I smiled softly to the other Guardians before turning serious. "He's back." They looked at me shocked before turning back at North, who nodded slightly. Bunny frowned as he turned back to me and asked, "Are you sure?" I groaned annoyed while rolling my eyes. "I'm pretty sure when you see a horse made from black sand with bright, yellow, evil eyes, that it is a sign of his return." I said, making them look at both North and I surprised.
"You saw a nightmare?" Tooth asked me as she flattered over to where I sat. "Yeah, I saw one and came over to tell North. After I told him, we both came over to Globe room, and saw a nightmare standing on top of the Globe." I said. "Yes, then the nightmare burst and covered the Globe with black sand!" North continued, causing Bunny to frown as he took out an Easter Egg and started painting it.
"What do ya mean burst and covering the Globe?" Bunny asked as he walked over to North, while painting the egg. "Then it burst again and formed a shadow!" North continued, but before he could continue Bunny interrupted him. "Wait, hold up, hold up! I thought you said, you seen Pitch?"
"Well, uh, not exactly." North said as he lifted his arm and scratched behind his neck, nervously. "Not exactly!? Can you believe this guy?" Bunny asked Sandy as he pointed his paintbrush at North. Sandy just smiled softly as he formed a question mark above his head. "Yeah, you said it Sandy." Bunny said with a chuckle and continued painting his egg.
I rolled my eyes annoyed and started talking before anyone else could or could ask anymore questions. "Guys, there was a nightmare here! And the second burst had me send against a wall! And that shadow looked exactly like Pitch! Even had the same evil laugh!" The Guardians looked at me shocked for my burst, but before anyone could say anything, I started talking again.
"I saw the first nightmare in New York." I started, but Bunny snapped his head to me, forgetting all about painting the egg, and asked, "New York? Where in New York?" I sighed softly, knowing my answer might freak him out a bit. "In their Lair."
"WHAT!?"
"The nightmare was in their Lair, and we all went after it, but we lost it." I said as Bunny started pacing a bit. "Is Izzy okay?" He asked after he stopped pacing. "She's okay, she and the guys went to search further for the nightmare while I came here to warn you guys." I said as Bunny sighed softly in relief, before turning back to face North. "Are you sure he's back?"
"Yes, and he's up to something very bad! I can feel!" North exclaimed, before looking down and grabbing his stomach. "In my belly!" He exclaimed as he shook his belly with his hands. Bunny groaned annoyed as he grabbed his ears and pulled them down. "I need more than your belly North! Easter is in 3 months! If Pitch is really back, I need to know now!"
"Because if he is back, we need to find him now, and kick his bloody show-pony's butt!" Bunny exclaimed as he walked back and forth. We all was staring at him as he was pacing, but my attention quickly turned away when I felt someone tapping my leg. I looked down and saw Sandy looking up at me.
I frowned and was about to question him, but he just pointed up at a window. I looked up and saw the Full Moon shining down through the window. "How about a moon Bunny?" I asked without looking away from the moon. Bunny stopped pacing and turned to me, but he saw me staring up, causing him to look up and see the Full Moon.
"Man on Moon! It's been a while old friend! What is big news?" Manny's light shined through the window and slowly formed a shadow with it. "It is Pitch." Bunny said before looking back up at North shocked. North smirked softly, patting belly before looking back at the moon. "Belly... What must we do?" North asked.
The moonlight shined brighter on the ground, and soon after, a blue crystal came out of the floor. "Uh, guys! Do you know what this means?" Tooth asked excitedly. "He chosen a new Guardian!" North exclaimed just as excited as Tooth. "What? Why?" Bunny asked, sounding half annoyed and half surprised. "Must be big deal, Manny thinks we need help." North answered to Bunny with a shrug.
"Since when do we need help?" Bunny exclaimed as he pointed to all of us. "Since Pitch returned." I said, not even looking at Bunny, but just staring at the crystal and waiting to see who's going to be the new Guardian. "I wonder who's it going to be?" Tooth asked, excited.
Sandy thought for a moment before forming a four leaf above his head with sand. "Maybe the leprechaun?" Tooth asked, causing Sandy to nod. Bunny crossed his finger, opening and closing his eyes as he stared at the crystal, worried for who might become the new Guardian. "Please not the Groundhog, please not the Groundhog." Bunny begged over and over.
I rolled my eyes at Bunny and looked back at the crystal, but I soon frowned when I saw who was the new Guardian, or should I say, Guardians. "What?" I said softly as the picture formed the new Guardians. The rest of the Guardians frowned when they saw the picture and looked at each other for answers.
"I don't know these spirits, do you?" North asked turning to Tooth, but she just shook her head. She looked at Sandy, but he just shook his head as well. "They must be new." North said as he played with his beard. "No, they're not." I said without taking my eyes off the crystal. "You know them Jack?" North asked surprised, but I didn't turn to face him, I just kept staring at the crystal.
"They're Izzy's brothers. And they're not spirits."
"Izzy's brothers? Bunny, what is he talking about?" Tooth asked, turning to face Bunny, but he was also staring at the crystal with a frown. "Uh, it's a long story, but to make it short, they saved her life and Manny decided to make them her brothers." Bunny answered as he stared at the crystal, his frown getting bigger.
"Well that explains things. Izzy is part spirit, making them part spirit." North explains as he stared at the crystal. "Well this is going to be interesting." I mumbled to myself, but I quickly gasped in surprise when I saw the picture started changing. "Is it just me, or is the picture changing?" I asked as I pointed at the crystal.
"It's not just you mate." Bunny said as he as well stared at the crystal in surprise. When the new picture formed we all were shocked again, especially Bunny. "I take it back! The Groundhog's fine!" Bunny exclaimed as he stared at the picture in shock.
"Are you serious Bunny? I thought this would make you happy." I said to him, but he just shook his head. "There is no way I'm allowing this!" Bunny exclaimed annoyed, turning to North with a glare. "I mean it North! I'm not allowing it!" North looked at Bunny as he played with his beard, before shrugging at him.
"It's not my choice or yours. Manny chose Izzy Easter to be a Guardian, and that's that." North said as a smile started form on his face. "But she's not ready! She's just 15! She's my little Easter Egg! She's-" Bunny started but North stopped him as he stared at the crystal with a big smile. "A Guardian."
"My daughter is many things! But she is not becoming a Guardian!"
"Why not?" I asked Bunny, finally turning away from the crystal to face Bunny with a frown. "She'll be an amazing guardian." I said, still frowning at my girlfriends father, confuse for how he was reacting. "Believe me mate, I know that! But she's just a kid!" Bunny exclaimed as the crystal slowly went back down into the floor.
"She's not ready yet! Especially now that Pitch's back!" Bunny exclaimed again. Now I see it! I thought to myself with a mentally eye roll. "You don't want your daughter to be a Guardian because Pitch is back?" I asked the Easter Bunny is disbelieve. He just huffed and crossed his arms, annoyed.
"Pitch Black is dangerous, and I would really like it, that he be as faraway from my daughter as possible." He said as he walked back over to the fireplace. I groaned and rolled my eyes at his overprotectiveness as I walked back into the living room. "In case you haven't notice Bunny, Izzy is pretty much able to protect herself." I said as I floated up and landed on the table, sitting on the edge with one foot hanging down.
Bunny send me a death glare, but I just ignored it and continued talking. "And besides, the Turtles are also going to be Guardians. Izzy is part of their Team, and she's their sister. If anything were to happen, her brothers will be there to help and protect her, especially Raph." I said with a knowing look, but Bunny just groaned again, annoyed, as he turned sharply with his arms cross.
I rolled my eyes as I shook my head slightly at his stubbornness, and sighed through my nose. "Bunny," I started but he didn't turn around to face me, but I continued anyway, "She's going to be alright. She's brave and strong, and won't be in this alone. She will have all us to help her." I said as I pointed to all of us, getting a smile from the other 3 Guardians.
"And she will have her brothers with her as well. And if she were to run into Pitch one day alone, she'll knock him before he can even say boo!" I said with a small laugh, which the Guardians and Bunny returned, knowing how true my comment it. Bunny slowly turned around to face me, he had a small smile, but it quickly turned into worry.
"Bunny," Tooth started as she flattered over to him, and laid her on his shoulder. "She's ready." She finished as she looked Bunny in the eye with a small smile. Bunny sighed softly before turning to North, who was standing next to me.
"Alright, she can become a Guardian." The Guardians started cheering while I just smiled brightly at the news, but Bunny quickly interrupted them, "But she's not taking the oath! At least not now." He said, causing the Guardians to go quiet, and me to frown slightly. "I'll let her be a Guardian, and when this whole Pitch situation is over, and when she says she's ready, she can take the oath."
I thought for a bit before I shrugged, "Fine by me! What about you guys?" I asked as I looked at the other Guardians who was standing their in thought, or Tooth's case, flying. Sandy soon smiled brightly and nodded at Bunny. Tooth smiled brightly as well before she answered, "Of coarse. We don't have to rush her." Bunny smiled gratefully at Tooth, Sandy and I, before turning to North, waiting for his answer.
North was playing with his beard before a cheeky and knowing smile formed on his face. "I have no problem at all." North said with a smile, causing Bunny to sigh in relief, but North interrupted before anything else could happen. "But!" He started with a cheeky smile, "We get Izzy and her brothers here the same way we brought Jack."
Uh oh...
