This week's poetry practice is an Elizabethan sonnet on Harmonia (and Cadmus)

When I was born, there was a great fuss made over me by my relatives. In those days, Titan children–not nymphs, but children with the divinities and powers of Titans–were becoming rarer and rarer. Gods are not the powerful deities they once were. Man has found ways to get around requiring their abilities. What are they to do, except grow bored of immortality and start to meddle in the lives of mortals once more? Artemis and Apollo have their sibling rivalry, Hades has his failing marriage- why not stop by and see what the gods are up to in the 21st century?

*Rewrite of the original Opposites Attract but with a genuine-enough plot* When a goddess of chaos and a goddess of harmony meet, there's bound to be some type of connection. Even in the end, when chaos calls to chaos and duty calls to love, there is always a point in time at which opposites attract.

Nyx had a daughter once. Eris. Aphrodite had another daughter. Harmonia. Eris and Harmonia grew up to be opposites, but from the beginning there might have been something there... until the wedding. Hades Discovers a man dressed in a way he has never seen before. The man was dying and saving him changes Hades and the Underworld forever.

Hades has spent his immortality in solitude, avoiding the other Gods. Until he heard rumors of Demeter's hidden daughter in a secretive Oasis and found himself curious enough to find out himself. The King of the Underworld was fascinated with the stowed-away daughter, he won't allow anything to stop him from getting what he wants.

After their 300 year honeymoon, Zeus showed his true colors when he cheated on Hera with the beautiful Leto. Now in the 21st century he has taken it a step further by making a place for a new mistress of his on Olympus. Hera is furious. She plans something for Zeus's new floozy so he never forgets to never cross her, but what happens when she ends up falling for this other woman?

Working on fic about Persephone. Got on this tangent about the gathering at Olympus to officially name her "Persephone" and introduce her to the other Gods and Goddesses, and ended up with this dialogue. However, I'm not quite sure have to work the descriptions around it. Thought you'd all enjoy it at least!

The lost story of the forgotten greek god. One no one knows... one hidden on the depth of myths... this is the story of Lunario, the god of Children, and the guardian of Bastards.

Decided to practice some classical form poetry starting with the ghazal, offering a different take on Europa (inspired by observations of ancient art about the story)...

“You’re making a mistake” “How so?” “You’re one of the most beautiful woman in all of Aphrodites court, a Charites no less, and you’re settling yourself for an ugly blacksmith” he sighs heavily. “And so what if I am?” she purred invitingly pressing herself more flush against his broad chest revealing in how stiff his taunt muscles became at her touch. “You’ll live to regret it”

Apollo was famous for being an unlucky god when it came to love. Right? Well, there was one exception. He will even name after her his most important sanctuary: Delphi.

The characters of this story are inspired by gods of the Greek mythology.
