So...Here is where we get to how the Heroes and the Villains will cross paths

While the Turtles listened to the Scarecrow and the Riddler bicker back and forth about the thumbtack on the chair, they distinctly heard "Wait! Do you hear something?" Vanessa was still giggling hysterically.

Knowing their cover would be blown if something wasn't done quickly. Leo leapt into the lavatory, turned off the faucet and immediately clamped down his hands onto Vanessa's mouth, Leo didn't like having his hands anywhere near her mouth knowing she was a Black Widow, as a giant spider he didn't know how potent her venom would be and even if just resulted in swelling like from an ordinary Black Widow spider that was something he really didn't want to deal with right now.

But fortunatly Vanessa never thought to bite, she was just noticing that with her jaws being held shut and there seemed to no longer be any nostrils in her face, that she was still breathing regularlly because her breath was now coming from her sides.

The two rogues went over to the room they throught they had heard the sound from, the other three Turtles hid in the dark room in typical ninja fashion, Vanessa, her giant bulbous spider abdomen was outside the lavatory and should have been plainly visable except because she was black as night and the red hourglass on her belly was not visable from that angle, sle blended in perfectly with the shadows, so when Jonathan and Edward peeked through the small window slot all they saw was darkness, nobody seemed to be there.

"It was probobly some idiot intern," Edward said "Thinking it would be real funny to prank the Scarecrow."

"You're probably right." Jonathan sighed as he rubbed his rear end "Revenge will just have to wait for some other time, for now we have some investigating to do."

The Turtles remained in their postions for a few more minutes as they listened to the footsteps of the two men go down the hallway, they could hardly believe what they had just heard! Seems even these two Supervillains thought something about what Proteus was doing stunk to high heaven and if even was just for their own hides, perhaps suspecting they might be double crossed were also investigating what Proteus was really up to, after all after reading the note it was clear it had something to do with the blue mutagen.

Once they felt it was safe, the Turtles went out of their hiding spots and Leo finally released Vanessa's jaws,

"Vanessa..." Leo said quietly but very firmly "...I know you were trying to be funny with that stunt."

"It WAS funny." Mikey said Leo shot his younger brother a quick glare.

"Now's not the time for jokes." Leo said "We could have been caught! Now are you going to take this mission seriously from now on, or are we going to have to leave you some where safe and some of us will find out this mystery on our own?"

Vanessa was cowed by that speech, realizing the danger she put everyone in, she felt weak in her spidery knees, and her legs gave out on her and she just lay on the floor.

"Seems we need to do that right now." Leo sighed "You got way too excited, Mikey could you stay with her in this room, and move her if anyone is about to come in, Raph, Don and myself will continue our search."

"You say so." Mikey said as his three older brothers left the room.

"Don't feel too down." Mikey said as he sat down next to the Spider Mutant, "I'm pretty sure I would have pulled a similar stunt in my younger years."

"Younger years?" Vanessa said "You're just a teenager."

"I'm 19." Mikey said "We've been doing these Ninja Heroics since we were 14."
