"Hey, are you alive in there?" the man on the radio says to Santana. Santana runs toward the radio and mic but hits her head on a floating metal bar.

Ow Fuck.

"Hello? Hello?" Santana says in desperation as she finally reaches the radio.

"There you are. You had me wondering. Are you bit?"

"No. I'm good. Where are you? Can you see me right now?"

"Yeah, I can see you. You're surrounded by walkers from left and right. That's the bad news."

"So… there's good news?"

"No. Not really." The man sadly says

A car alarm starts to blare out and attracts a multitude of walkers toward it.

"Got any advice for me?"

"Yeah. I'd say make a run for it."

"That's it?" Santana scoffs. "Make a run for it?"

"You've got eyes on the outside here. There's two walkers still on top of the tank, but most moved to the blaring car. You with me so far?"

"So far."

"Okay, the street on the other side of the tank is less crowded, so head there. Got ammo?"

"I dropped a duffel bag out there. Can I get to it?

"No. Forget the bag. That isn't an option. What do you have on you?"

"Hang on." Santana moves over to the dead soldier and checks his pocket. She finds a small handgun and-

"A Grenade?" Santana says as she slightly chuckles. She quickly grabs her newly found items, counts the number of bullets she has, and returns to the radio, "Yeah. Yeah. I've got a pistol with one clip, 20 rounds, and a grenade."

"Damn. A whole grenade? Okay, well that should do it. Make them count. Jump off the left side of the tank and keep going in that direction. There's an alley, maybe 25 yards. Be there."

"Hey, what's your name?"

"Have you been listening? You don't have time."

"Right."

Okay, Santana. It's now or never.

Santana takes one last deep breath and climbs out of the tank. She quickly adjusts her eyes to the bright sunlight and spots a walker approaching her. She pulls out the gun and-

BANG!

Santana jumps out of the tank to the ground but lands awkwardly on her ankle and groans in pain.

Ah, Shit.

She looked around and saw that walkers were now "running" from all angles just for her. She started hobbling toward the alley where the man had told her to meet him. However, she came across an obstacle in front of her. A group of walkers. She looks back and sees that she is now cornered.

Just keep going forward.

She quickly fired at ten walkers in front of her who were blocking her way. Their lifeless bodies fall to the concrete, and Santana jumps over them and runs toward the alley.

As she finally approaches the spot, she turns the corner-

"WHOA! WHOA! NOT DEAD! COME ON! COME ON!" The man says to Santana. They start running up the alley and see a fire escape ladder. "FASTER! COME ON!" Santana starts to shoot at walkers left and right as the man begins climbing up the ladder but runs out of ammo.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING? COME ON!" The man shouts at Santana, who snaps out of her thoughts and proceeds to climb up the building. Walkers now began to fill up the alley where the young man had told Santana to meet him and were previously standing.

After climbing up the building's fire escape, they reached the very top and took a couple of deep breaths.

"So, you the new Sheriff comin in to clean up the town?"

"I didn't mean to. I'm just trying to find my family."

"Yeah. Yeah. Whatever. Yeehaw. You're still a dumbass."

"Santana. Thanks." She says and gratefully extends her hand to the man who saved her life.

"Glenn. You're welcome," he says as he connects his hand.

The two silently make their journey back to Glenn's group when Santana decides to break the silence.

"Back at the tank. Why'd you help me? I was pretty much a goner and would've taken you down with me."

"Call it foolish, maybe naive, but hope that if I'm ever in that situation, somebody might do the same for me. Guess I'm an even bigger dumbass than you."

Glenn opens a hatch door that leads down into the building they are currently on top of. Santana follows Glenn downstairs into the building and closes the door behind her. They look around their surroundings to ensure it's clear before meeting with the others.

The young man pulls out his walkie-talkie and says, "I'm back. I got a guest and four geeks in our alley. Over."

After a couple of seconds, two men in protective gear came out of the building with baseball bats and took down the walkers as Glenn and Santana entered the building.

"You Bitch! I'm gonna kill you." A blonde woman shouts as she pulls out a gun and points it at Santana.

"Just chill out, Andrea. Back off." One of the guys in protective gear says to the pissed-off blonde.

"Back off? Back off?! You're kidding me, right? We're all dead because of this stupid bitch."

"Okay fine. Pull the trigger, see how much a fired bullet will help us." the man said.

Andrea backs off and starts crying. "We're dead. All of us. Every single one of us. Because of you." she says as she points her finger to Santana.

Out of breath, Santana looks at the five other people standing behind Andrea and says, "I don't understand."

"Look, we came into the city to scavenge supplies. You know the key to scavenging is?" the man says while pushing Santana towards the back entrance of a clothing store. "Surviving. You know the key to surviving? Sneaking in and out. Tip Toeing. Not shooting up the streets like a maniac."

"Yeah, Morales is right. Every geek from miles and miles heard you popping off rounds." the other man in protective gear says to Santana as she looks at what she's done.

The group looks out the windows and doors and sees herds of walkers making their way to the same streets she was running in and a crowd of walkers attempting to enter the building they currently reside in.

"You get the picture now?"
