Duncan sat at the table while Courtney went to go order their food.

He surprisingly wasn't miserable hanging out with Courtney as he thought he would be. Duncan at first only looked forward to doing the physical stuff with her and pissing her off. He never thought or cared about hanging out with her. Especially outside of doing what they had to do with the fake relationship, Until he started to see how fun she could be.

If someone told him a year ago he'd be roller skating and walking around the mall with Courtney, the goody goody, willingly. He'd laugh hysterically in their face and call them crazy.

She wasn't bad though. She was actually pretty funny.

"Here you go." Courtney said sitting next to him in the booth and setting down the orders.

"Thanks princess." He said before grabbing and drinking his soda.

Courtney drank her water then took a small bite of her food. She didn't get anything too big so she wouldn't spoil her appetite.

"Okay so...what should I expect when I go to your house?" Courtney asked him.

"Chaos, arguing, millions of questions and annoying twins." He said simply.

She frowned. "Oh." Courtney started to get worried about what she would see there but quickly got herself together. This will be no different then seeing a college or maybe her taking control of a class as a teacher's aide.

Duncan realized he wasn't helping anything. "However my mom likes you. I know my pops will like you." Duncan said reaching out to hold her hand. It felt slightly odd but he felt more nervous about making The first move. He noticed she never initiated anything. His mom was going to notice that.

"Well I hope they all like me. They're probably so used to Gwen." Courtney said before drinking her drink.

"Well the twins are. The adults didn't like her too much." He shrugged.

"Well at least I won over your mom." She shrugged before changing the subject.

"What do you like to do in your free time? You know besides break the law, rules and sleep with millions of women." She said sarcastically, mocking him like he did earlier.

Duncan rolled his eyes with a teasing smile. "Don't slut shame me princess. And well I like working out and going to monster truck rallies... I guess I'm somewhat into art." He shrugged.

Courtney looked intrigued. "Art? And tell me more about your workouts?"

Duncan was surprised. She wanted hear about him working out? Gwen hated working out. He also noticed she was eating boneless chicken bites. In fact gwen hated his eating habits as well. She's vegetarian and whatever Duncan ate something she didn't like she'd get mad at him. She hung around Malibu too much, but at least Bridgette didn't care about what he ate.

"I like to carve stuff and a bit of drawing. Gwen kinda rubbed off on me." He shrugged slightly bashful. Courtney smiled. "Do you have any sketches or anything?"

"Yeah it's in my room. Maybe I'll show you them." Duncan shrugged getting happy that he could talk about stuff he was into without fear of being scolded. It wasn't the same talking to a friend like it was talking to your partner. Even if he was talking to a fake partner.

Courtney put her chin on her propped up hands. "And your routine?"

"Well I-" Duncan started but was interrupted.

"Oh my god! If it isn't Duncan and his little girlfriend Courtney." An annoying voice said sickeningly sweetly.

Duncan looked over and seen Madison and her 3 friends walking up to them.

Duncan couldn't help but feel like another moment just got ruined. What the hell was up with his luck today? First that Jake asshole was flirting with Courtney. Then that weird guy interrupting their kiss and now this chick from school ruining the vibe. Could things get any worse.

Looking over he saw Courtney was sat up again and looked annoyed.

Duncan sighed loudly before turning back to the annoying girls.

"I'm surprised to see you guys here. You know cause no one's ever seen you out since you started dating. Besides the party." Madison chuckled as the girls behind her snickered.

"I'm surprised you're here. You know since neither of us like you or want you around." Courtney replied annoyed.

Duncan smirked at that.

"Chill Courtney. I'm just kidding. Yeesh what a girlfriend you have, she can't even take a joke." Madison rolled her eyes and sat down next to Duncan, too close for comfort. He was now sandwiched between Courtney and Madison.

"Madison. Me and her are hanging out so go away." Duncan said flatly wanting her to move.

"Oh come on. Let us join the fun. We'd love to hang out with you guys." She said putting a hand on his knee. Courtney saw it and felt her teeth clench. Before Duncan could react, she reached over and smacked her hands off of Duncan. "Keep your hands to yourself Madison." She snapped with a fierce glare.

Madison glared before her phone rang. Who ever it was made her stand up to leave.

"Okay sorry. Wrong timing, I get it. I'll leave you love birds alone." Madison said standing up before walking away.

As the girls walked off Duncan turned to Courtney. "God...thank god you're here. I can't stand her."

Courtney laughed. "Why is she so stuck on you anyway?"

"We had sex last summer at one of Geoff's parties." Duncan rolled his eyes.

Courtney frowned. "So you guys didn't even date and she's acting like that? It couldn't have been that good." She said shaking her head in disbelief.

Duncan flashed her a wicked panty dropping smile. "I'm actually very skilled in that area."

Courtney choked over her drink trying to cover up the blush that was desperately trying to surface.

"You okay babe? You imagining things?" Duncan asked raising an eyebrow knowingly.

Courtney glared. "No. Ugh come on let's go." She said standing up.

Duncan chuckled and stood up also. "We better head over to my moms house anyways."

—————————————————————————

Courtney took a deep breath in as she approached Duncans door step. She felt her heart drop as he took out his house key.

It was like he unlocked the door in slow motion before the door opened. Duncan smirked knowing she was probably nervous. "Ladies first."

Courtney glared at him and stepped in the house. The first thing she saw was two men at a table with cards in their hands. "Hey! You cheated. You know you can't use spades when I have a king!" A man said that had similar features to Duncan.

"No I got to double it so I can use it! Did you forget how to play while I was home?" The other man exclaimed. She couldn't tell what he looked like cause his back was facing towards her.

She looked over to Duncan to see him rolling his eyes at the two before speaking.

"I'm home. Princess and I are going upstairs." Duncan said before attempting to walk with Courtney.

The men turned to face them and Courtney immediately felt nervous.

"Hey Duncan! Who's the lady?" The man quickly asked standing up stopping Duncan from taking Courtney upstairs. The other man just put on a polite smile and stood up.

"This is my girlfriend, Courtney. princess the guy right there." Duncan introduced gesturing to a man that was tall with dark hair with noticeable grey hairs and green eyes. "Is my uncle-"

"I'm joel nice to meet you! I'm Duncan's favorite uncle. " The uncle interrupted shaking her hand. She heard Duncan snort at what his uncle said.

Courtney just pretended she was meeting a college scout and shook his hand confidently. "nice to meet you."

Joel looked impressed. "She has a firm grip. I think you found a good one

Before Courtney could reply Duncans dad approached. " hi Courtney. My wife has told me a lot about you. It's great to finally meet you."

Courtney smiled her award winning smile. "I hope they were good things sir. It's lovely to meet you both."

His dad seemed to be impressed. "Nothing but good things." He said to her.

Duncan mentally smirked. She was good. She had them in the palm of her hand. He looked at her as she showed a bright smile as she continued winning over his dad and uncle. He liked how she was adaptable in different situations.

Duncans dad turned to him with a smile. " I like her. she's respectful. Hopefully some of that rubs off on you." He added pointedly.

"That's not the only thing i want from her to rub on m-" he started, making Courtney blush from embarrassment. While Duncan's dad and uncle glared at him.

"Duncan!" A voice snapped. Courtney turned to see his mom and another lady. His mom gave him a pointed stare, silently telling Duncan to knock it off.

Courtney also sent Duncan a glare before greeting and meeting the rest of his family.

After a minute his family was loving Courtney. He could tell Courtney wanted a moment away from them and he couldn't have been happier. He rolled his eyes as his family swarmed Courtney excitedly and eagerly asking her questions.

"Are those Loui Vuitton shoes?"

"Are you on a diet? You have an amazing shape. The things I'd do for my highschool body."

"Do you play any sports?"

"How has Duncan been treating you?"

"Okay! I'm taking my girlfriend back now." Duncan said grabbing her hand and pulling her upstairs to his room. He ignored the protests and continued up the stairs.

When they were both inside he closed the door and sighed. Courtney looked relieved as she sat on his bed.

"You think that's bad? Wait till you see my cousins." He said rolling his eyes sitting next to her.

"Well After that I think I'll be prepared." Courtney told him before standing up and grabbing her purse.

"I'm going to change out these pants I'll be right back." She said walking to his bathroom.

"You want me to help you?" Duncan smirked seductively.

Courtney glared at him before slamming the door shut.

"I'll take that as a later?" Duncan called out and chuckled when he heard her groan.

Duncan got on his bed before grabbing his phone and scrolled through Instagram. His heart dropped as he saw a post Gwen had uploaded. It was Gwen and Trent at a concert.

He rolled his eyes trying to push the hurt feelings down. Fine he'd just post Courtney then. Gwen still watched his stories and liked his posts. He was going to use that to his advantage.

He suddenly heard a noise out of nowhere and he looked around confused. But then he heard something in the bathroom before shrugging and going back to his phone.

Soon he heard the bathroom door open.

"Oh! um hi there." Courtney said surprised.

Confused once again he turned around to see his cousin Elena.

"You aren't Gwen. Who are you?" She asked squinting her eyes at Courtney.

"You're right. I'm courtney, Duncan's new girlfriend." Courtney introduced politely.

Duncan sighed knowing Elena loved Gwen. She was going to be hard for Courtney to win over. In fact both the twins will be.

"This is my pain in the ass, little cousin Elena." Duncan introduced.

"I am not. Im going to tell your mom you're saying bad words." Elena glared.

Duncan rolled his eyes. "I'm so scared. How the hell did you get in here?"

"Don't worry about it since I'm such a pain." Elena said folding her arms defiantly.

Duncan muttered some curse words before realizing One twin was missing. Which never was a good sign.

"Where's Dante?" Duncan asked pointedly.

"I don't know last time I seen him, he was down stairs talking to mama." She lied.

Duncan squinted his eyes at her. Courtney walked over to sit on the edge of the bed awkwardly as she watched the cousins argue.

"I know you're lying." He glared standing up.

"Well if I was... you can't prove it." She smirked.

Courtney almost laughed at Duncan's reaction.

"Wanna go meet the other less annoying cousin?" Duncan said annoyed. God his cousins pissed him off.

Courtney stood up after. "Don't say that! She isn't annoying." She said scolding him lightly.

"To you." The green haired teen snipped.

"Yeah. What's really annoying is how Duncan sings in the shower." A voice called out from Courtney's feet.

Courtney's head snapped down to see a spitting image of Elena except it was a boy. Courtney shrieked in fear and moved away quickly making him cackle. She was surprised but mainly scared of the fact he'd see up Courtneys skirt. She wasn't wearing shorts.

"You little shit! I've been telling you to stop doing that." Duncan snapped. He used to do this with Gwen all the time. Dante and Gwen had a game going to see if he could scare her. He never did unfortunately. But Duncan hated when the twins were in his room, especially when he was trying to be alone with the person he brought over.

"sorry I thought you were joking when your mom said you have a new girlfriend now." Dante said looking at Courtney skeptically before a disapproving look flashed on his face. "She doesn't look as cool as Gwen. She looks stuck up and boring."

Courtney looked shocked and felt slightly hurt by how the twins were treating her. Duncan on the other hand was pissed.

"Yeah, Gwen used to teach us how to draw when we came over and stuff... she doesn't look like she draws good." Elena chimed in sassily running next to her brothers side.

"Yeah plus she gets scared easily. We like Gwen better." Dante complained and Elena nodded in agreement.

"Hey! Don't be an ass. So what she's not Gwen. Courtney is fun to be around. plus she's does lots of sports, camping, traveling and plays instruments. So just give her a chance and you'll see how cool she is for yourself." Duncan said walking by Courtney and wrapping his arm around her waist. Pulling her close to him and she gave him a faint smile.

"Okay..."

"Fine..."

The twins muttered rolling their eyes.

"Come on princess let's go." He said before leading Courtney outside to meet Samuel.

Duncan knew Samuel and her would get along. He didn't know the twins would be that harsh to her. Otherwise he would've kept her away from them. He'd definitely have to have a talk with their parents.

Walking down stairs they walked outside to see Samuel alone by himself doing what seems to be his homework.

Samuel noticed Duncan but not Courtney. He didn't look up however instead he kept his eyes on his paper.

"Let me guess. You want me to do your homework? Well I'm not. If you'd pay attention in class maybe you wouldn't be so moronic and ignorant to your assignments." Samuel said flatly.

Duncan just rolled his eyes. "No. My hot straight A girlfriend tutors me now."

Samuel looked up confused before noticing Courtney.

"Oh! sorry for your first impression of me. I'm Samuel, Duncan's cousin. Nice to see that Duncan knows people that aren't a rude goth or isn't a loud wannabe frat boy." He said giving her a polite smile.

Courtney couldn't help but think how right Duncan was about the older people not liking Gwen. She wondered how he felt about the twins liking gwen and hating her verses the older people liking her but not Gwen.

"Oh no it's okay. He's an ass, probably deserved it. it's surprising isn't it." Courtney replied grabbing Duncan's hand.

Duncan immediately thought about how she was initiating stuff. He squeezed her hand encouragingly.

"Did you meet the twins from hell yet?" Samuel asked slightly interested on what the twins reaction to Courtney was.

"You mean the twin from Satans ballsack? Yes they did and they acted like complete duche bags." Duncan said annoyed.

Samuel looked over at Courtney with pity. "Sorry about them. They'll warm up to you. They just don't like change."

"It's alright, it's no big deal. They're only kids after all." Courtney said dismissively.

Before anyone could reply Duncan's mother came out. " Sorry to interrupt the conversation but can I borrow Duncan?" She said with a warm smile.

Duncan got up and left Courtney and Samuel alone wondering what his mom wanted. When he went inside his aunt, uncle, mom and father was there waiting for him.

He groaned. "What now?" He'd rather be anywhere else in the world then in this kitchen. Honestly he'd rather be alone with Courtney upstairs in his room, like he originally wanted till his younger cousins ruined it.

"We love her. She's way better than Gwen. I bet she'll bring your C average to a B." His aunt said hugging him.

"We'll see." Duncan replied.

"How the hell were you able to get her to date you? She's the complete opposite of you?" His father asked in disbelief as Duncan pulled away from his aunts hug.

His mom shot her husband a dirty look. "Look at our son? He's handsome. Plus opposites attract." His mom said smiling proudly at Duncan. Duncan couldn't help but think about how none of the parents had this reaction about him bringing Gwen home.

Mentally shaking his head, he pushed it to the back of his mind so he can think about it later.

"Has she met the kids?" his uncle asked.

"Yeah. The twins were huge jerks to her. The called her names and basically rubbed in her face how they like Gwen better. Samuel is cool though." Duncan said hoping they would get their kids in line.

His aunt frowned. "They what?" She asked sharply.

"Elena, Dante" his uncle called out sounding anything else but happy. The twins almost immediately ran into the room.

If looks could kill and make you feel guilty at the same time, the face his aunt was making would definitely be the face to do that. It came close to his moms face. He shivered at the thought of his mom's, 'you're in big trouble face'.

"You two need to knock off the mean behavior to Courtney or else I swear to god I'll Mettiti a terra e fai pulire entrambi la casa su e giù ogni giorno fino all'estate!" Their mother scolded. Duncan and his cousins knew when their moms spoke in Italian that they meant business. Their words were not to be taken lightly.

The twins practically shrinked where they stood and nodded their head.

Their dad didn't even have to add anything else since the mom pretty much did all the work for him.

"now go apologize to her now or else when we get back home you'll be cleaning the horse stables." The dad said calmly and the kids immediately scurried to what Duncan assumed was to apologize to Courtney.

Duncan couldn't help the amused smile that spread across his face. "Jeez y'all must really like princess."

"Duh. She's beautiful, smart, has a career and bright life ahead of her. I love her so far. Now only to see her mindset." His aunt replied.

That's when his mom chimed in the conversation from in the kitchen. "Well it's a good thing dinner is ready. Go get everyone in the house to the table."

He didn't even noticed she left to go to the kitchen.

Duncan sighed knowing he wouldn't get any time alone with her until dinner was over.

—————————————————————————

Courtney had a thankfully pleasant conversation with Samuel after Duncan left. After talking to the twins, she felt very relived that Samuel actually gave her a chance.

"So tell me how did you find Duncan attractive at all?" Samuel asked her confused why someone like her would be with someone like him. Courtney normally wouldn't have gave Duncan the time of day but she couldn't take away the fact he was physically attractive.

Samuel must've knew what she was thinking. "Let me rephrase that. How did you find his personality and his atmosphere attractive?"

Now that was a question that got Courtney. Like she thought before she'd ignore him and honestly found him annoying and very obnoxious.

However as she got to know him she saw how kind, noble... sometimes, caring, smart, charming and passionate he can actually be when he cares about something.

However he's a pain in the ass regardless. But then again she doesn't really know well enough to know any more deeper about him. Courtney briefly wondered what he was like but then realized the only people that's seen that side was Gwen and Geoff, maybe Alejandro and Dj.

But his atmosphere? The first thing Courtney thought of unfortunately of sexually erotic and alluring. Courtney might've been the captian of the anti Duncan club but the way his voice, eyes and sometimes his presence affected her... She wouldn't admit it out loud.

But he always gave off excitement, impulsivity and rebellion. Courtney was the opposite. I guess that's what kinda fascinated her about him.

"Well I didn't at first. But he was very persistent and I got to know him first. He's not that bad honestly, Duncan's a bit rough but once you see him, it's a different perspective." She explained confidently. Before Samuel could reply she heard the patio door slam open and footsteps running towards them. Looking over she seen the twins heading over to her and she mentally sighed ready for the insults.

"I'm sorry for being mean to you and comparing you to Gwen." They both said in unison.

Courtney was surprised at the apology but smiled politely and told them it was okay.

They smiled when she accepted their apology and Courtney saw a glint in their eyes and it made her feel at unease.

"Hey it's time to eat, so get your asses to the table." Duncan said to them as he walked over to them.

The twins and Samuel left leaning Courtney and him outside alone.

"How was Samuel?" He asked quietly.

She shrugged. "He was decent. It was better than the twins."

"Yeah I'm sorry about them. They're assholes. Nothing else will happen cause I told their parents." He said apologetically.

Courtney saw his mom in the corner of her eye spying on them inside the house.

So Courtney got performative. "You didn't have to do that, they just have to get used to me being around that's all." She said sweetly wrapping her arms around his neck.

Duncan looked surprised but then quickly realized what she was doing. "Who cares how much they have to get used to it, they need to learn your here to stay. so they're going to respect you." He said wrapping her hands around her lower back.

Courtney smiled and kissed sweetly before pulling away.

"You're beautiful." He said to her looking deeply in her eyes. She blushed remembering what happened earlier today with him complimenting her.

"Sorry love birds, but of you guys want to eat you gotta be at the table." His mom said with a big smile.

Courtney knew she sold it and felt confident for the rest of the dinner that was ahead.

Meanwhile Samuel sat at the table with the twins waiting for the rest of the parents and teens to arrive. He knew they were watching his cousins new relationship which is why they weren't here.

He looked over to see Elena and Dante smirking at eachother. Everyone knew that in this family when anyone smirks, it's never a good thing and something bad happens. Duncan is a prime example.

"What ever you guys are thinking or planning knock it off. You guys are already are on thin ice." He said pointedly at both of them. The twins just nodded and when Samuel looked away the smirk returned.

A/N: I got the other chapter rewritten. I'm back as I promised with a back to back chapter! What do you think the twins are up to.
