Chris entered the dining hall with a smile on his face. "Oh, campers! It's time to begin searching! Here are the rules once again, you must search around to find Granny's and Pappy's giant golden coin! Once your team finds the golden coin, bring it to me, at the dock. Now, each team will get 2 high powered metal detectors. The coin could be anywhere! So search high and low, left and right, up and down, side to side! Search everywhere! Any questions? No? Okay! Pick up the metal detectors on the porch outside when I release you. Get ready... GO!"
The teams quickly exited the dining hall and grabbed their equipment.
"Okay, guys! It's game time!" Jo announced as the Running Roosters gathered around. "Let's keep all hard feelings aside for the challenge! We have to work together!"
Jo Confessional:
"Sure I may have gotten some people on not talking terms! But Courtney is a strong player who needs out for her own good! Revealing her secret was kinda low but I'm ready to go Death Valley low!"
The Giggling Goats had also huddled together.
"I have an idea!" Devin declared. "Let's split up! 6 of us can search the west side of the island and the other 5 can search the east side. If one side finds the coin, someone can take the coin to Chris while the others find the rest of the team!"
"Great idea, Devin!" Zoey complimented. "I'll look on the west side with Devin, Kitty, Geoff, Cameron, and Harold! Sierra, Cody, Blaineley, Jazelle, and Lightning can search the east side together!"
"Sounds like a plan!" Geoff agreed.
"Hold up..." Blaineley said stopping them, "Chris said that the winning team picks another team to be immune. So why don't we get on the good sides of the Roosters and Catfish? If we did that, we might be able to make sure that our safety is pretty secure."
"Did that just come out of Mildred's mouth?" Geoff asked.
"That's a really good idea!" Zoey exclaimed.
"Okay, so how about a change of plans!" Devin suggested. "Sierra, Cody, Blaineley, Jazelle, and Lightning can still search the east side of the island as planned! But Geoff and I can split off and talk to the Catfish since our fiances are on that team and then Zoey and Kitty can go talk to the Roosters!"
Devin Confessional:
"OOPS! It accidentally slipped about me and Carrie! It's okay though, I'm sure that nobody noticed
"Where does that place us?" Harold asked.
"You can tag along with us!" Sierra answered. "That'll be a bigger search party!"
Zoey nodded, "Okay, team! Looks like we have a plan!"
The Catfish started searching immediately.
"So what's the plan, Lindsay?" Heather asked.
"Plan? Oh... right! Search until you can't no more!" Lindsay answered as she continued searching.
"We should be pretty fine," Bridgette said. "As long as we keep searching, we'll be fine."
"Why don't we split up or something!" Heather suggested. "We could cover more grounds."
"You can split if you want to Heather," Lindsay replied. "Nobody is stopping you."
"It's fine," Gwen remarked. "We don't always have to have a huge gameplan."
Heather Confessional:
"What happened to Lindsay? Just a day ago, she was ignited with a new fire! To crush the Roosters for booting Tyler. It's as if she doesn't care anymore..."
Devin and Geoff greeted the Catfish.
"Sup dudes!" Geoff greeted. "How's the challenge going for you guys?"
Bridgette gasped. "Hi, baby! What are you doing over here?"
Carrie looked behind her shoulder and saw Devin. She ran up to him and kissed him on the lips. "Hello, there stud!"
Bridgette Confessional:
"I know that type of romance... Devin proposed!"
Devin smiled and got all mushy and nervous. "Hi, homie."
"So really," Bridgette started. "Why are you over here?"
"Well remember how Chris said that the team that comes in first gets to pick the other team for safety." Geoff mentioned, 'We wanted to stop by and see if you'd like to make a deal. If the Goats win, we'll make sure you're immune! But if you guys win..."
"You'd like us to make sure you're immune!" Bridgette finished. "That's a good idea, but I think you should talk to Lindsay about it."
Lindsay walked up behind Bridgette. "We could do that! But we got to make sure the Roosters go down!"
Heather Confessional:
"Yes! That part of Lindsay lives to see another day!"
"Thanks for stopping by," Heather said as she tried to swat them away. "Move along now."
"Bye, babe!" Bridgette and Carrie both said almost simultaneously.
The Running Roosters weren't focused on searching at the moment.
"Heya guys!" Kitty exclaimed as she and Zoey approached.
"Greetings!" Dawn greeted as opened her eyes.
"Dawn!" Jo yelled. "You have to focus!"
"Right... sorry!"
"What's going on?" Kitty asked.
"Dawn is trying to think about where the coin is." Sky answered.
"Oh..." Zoey responded. "Where's Mike?"
"Bathroom. Now, why are you over here?" Courtney asked.
Zoey glared at her.
"We wanted to ask you if you'd like to make a little alliance today," Kitty explained. "If we win the challenge, we'll choose you to be immune, and we're hoping that you guys would return that favor if you guys win."
"I don't think we'll want to take your offer," Jo said.
"Wait! Why?" Sky questioned.
"That's a really good idea, guys!" Sammy pleaded.
"Horrible game move if you don't do it..." Noah noted.
Kitty laughed. "Well, it looks as if you guys want to."
"We'll gladly take you up on your offer," Sky replied.
"Thanks, guys! Be sure to say hi to Mike for me!"
"Will do! Bye!" Sammy said as they left. "Okay Dawn, you can do this!"
Dawn nodded and closed her eyes. "Okay, it's a really blurry sight. The coin is in the hands of evil! That form of evil seeks revenge and they want to kill us all..." Dawn collapsed on the ground.
"OH MY GOD! SHE PASSED OUT!" Sammy yelled as she immediately kneeled down next to her.
"She must have thought way too dark!" Shawn exclaimed. "Let me help her!"
"Okay..."
Shawn put one hand on her wrist and the other one above her mouth. "She has a pretty fast heartbeat and she's taking in and breathing out fine!" He took his hands off of her.
"Will she be okay?" Sammy asked.
"Yeah, she'll be fine!" Shawn insisted. "She needs to rest!"
"But she can't stay here on the ground!" Sammy exclaimed. "I need 2 big, even sticks and a giant cloth."
"Don't you think this is a bit absurd?" Courtney asked. "How do we even know that what she said was true?"
"Well, she knew about my dog, Lisa when I didn't tell ANYONE about her," Jo stated.
"And look at the toll it took on her!" Noah pointed out. "She literally passed out, I mean what else do you want?"
"Here are the sticks you needed," Shawn said as he laid them on the ground.
"Thank you!" Sammy said as she looked around. "Owen! I need your shirt!"
Owen was unsure about it but did it anyway.
"Thank you so much!" Sammy said taking the shirt.
Shawn put the sticks together and then rolled them back out, "Put the shirt on it, Sammy."
"Okay!" She laid the shirt on the sticks then tied the sleeves to them. "I don't know what to do for the bottom."
"Let me help!" Shawn insisted. "Owen, can I make a small hole in your shirt?"
"Yeah! Go ahead!"
Shawn pulled out his pocket knife and made 2 holes that went all the way through the shirt. Then he took some of his own shoestrings and tied it to the sticks.
"All done! Sammy lay down on it and we can make sure it's sturdy." Shawn said. Sammy laid on it as Shawn and Owen lifted her.
"It works!" Sammy exclaimed as they put her down. "Shawn and I can carry her to the cabins, Jo, Sky, could you please lift her onto the stretcher?"
Jo and Sky nodded and helped them out.
"Thank you, okay Shawn, lift on 3!" Sammy said as she made sure Dawn was comfortable on it. She stood up. "One... Two... Three... lift!"
They lifted her up and began to take her to the cabin.
Sammy Confessional:
"Dawn has given me confidence and strength to lead people! I totally took charge of the situation!
Zoey and Kitty met up with the rest of the team, Devin and Geoff had already gotten there.
"Good news! They have agreed to our deal, how about you guys?" Kitty asked.
"They're in!" Devin replied. "So, we're safe today!"
The team cheered.
"Well, we should keep looking!" Geoff stated. "We should try to keep busy."
"Ugh! This stupid thing won't work!" Lightning exclaimed as he started swinging the Metal Detector in the air.
Jazelle took it from him and began to swing it in the air as he did. "Oh look at me! I'm Lightning and I don't know how to work this stupi..." The detector began beeping really fast as she was swinging it towards the opening of the forest.
The team stopped in their tracks as Jazelle positioned the detector correctly.
"It's going crazy now!" Lightning exclaimed.
They looked into the distance and saw a figure moving with the coin in her hands.
Jazelle Confessional:
"That shouldn't have worked..."
Sierra snapped a photo on her phone and zoomed into the picture. "IT'S SCARLET!" She yelled.
The figured stop moving as Sierra showed them to picture.
"Go take the photo to Chris!" Harold exclaimed. "We'll keep our sights on her."
Sierra ran away from them and headed towards the docks.
Sammy and Shawn took Dawn into the girl's cabin.
"Her bed is the bottom bunk," Sammy said as they walked her over there. They placed the stretcher on the edge of the bed as Sammy carefully rolled her onto the bed.
"I'll just slide this under the bed," Shawn said as he closed up the stretcher and put it away.
"I'll stay with her," Sammy said as she put a blanket over her. "Someone should be here when she wakes up."
"Good thinking," Shawn responded. "Let me go and get Owen a new shirt. You got her covered?"
"Yes, thanks for your help."
"No problem, she's lucky for your quick thinking."
Sammy blushed as Shawn left. She smiled at Dawn and laid at the end of her bed.
Sierra ran up to Chris out a breath.
"Chris! L...Look... Look! Scarlet, coin, island!"
"What are you saying?"
Sierra closed her eyes and tried to catch her breath. "Scarlet is here! On the island. She has the giant gold coin!" She showed him the picture.
"CHEF! WE HAVE A CODE SCARLET!" Chris yelled over the walkie-talkie. "SEND OUT A MESSAGE ON THE INTERCOM! HURRY!"
"Chris? What's going on?" Chef asked.
"PUT ME ON THE INTERCOM!"
"Okay, you're on."
"CAMPERS! THIS IS NOT A DRILL! SCARLET IS ON THE ISLAND AND HAS THE GOLD COIN! THE CHALLENGE IS OFF! YOU NEED TO FIND SCARLET AND GET THAT COIN AWAY FROM HER!"
