Gacin: The arrival of the Replicators in the Milky Way is Canon, as for the Asgard intervening in the conflict between Tau'ri and Goa'uld... it's consistent with their intentions. In the original series, this never happens because of the Replicators (precisely). But I don't even see why I'm trying to justify my choices. It's a parallel universe, obviously, not everything will happen exactly as in the series.

Jyggilad: Daniel Jackson's historical comments in the original series were equally approximate.

Author's Note: The reviews I received for episode 9 amuse me a lot. The first is a review because I don't respect the original series enough. And the other is because I'm trying to make Daniel speak as in the original show. If I needed proof that I could never satisfy everyone... As always, I thank all readers for their support and kindness in their comments.

Replicators Wars

Pegasus Galaxy, near black hole GW234688

Instinctively, Hakuno lowered her head as two Darts flew over the bridge firing blue energy discharges. Fortunately, the energy particles were stopped by the Shields, which formed a dark, translucent, brown "bubble" close to the hull of the Persephone.

The Lantean shields were very strong and the shots of two Darts were not enough to shake them but, around the Aurora-Class Battleship, a battle raged.

Asuran Jumpers and HK Drones were fighting Darts. The Replicators had the advantage in terms of armament, but the Wraiths outnumbered them... and the vampiric aliens were continually receiving reinforcements.

Emerging from the meteorite swarm spinning around the black hole appeared a small vessel of organic appearance. She immediately opened fire. Her particle weapons had a very impressive rate of fire... An Asuran Jumper was turned into a plasma ball after only two shooting bursts (1).

Sitting in the command chair, Liem immediately identified the new threat.

"A Wraith Corvette! She is an anti-fighter spaceship!"

Hahuno approached the Weapon console and held out her hand.

"Code Cast: Hack!"

From an airlock that had just opened in the hull of the Persephone arise a dozen drones, weapons vaguely squid-like, haloed with a yellow light. Guided by Hakuno's thoughts, they passed between the anti-aircraft weapons of the Wraith Corvette and dodged the kamikaze Darts before hitting the enemy starship.

The first two drones caused a breach in the hull at the rear. Two other drones entered the Corvette and rushed to the main power plant. The power crystals disintegrated in an explosion that shattered the corvette into a dozen pieces that spread under the thrust of a fiery gas cloud.

The surviving drones chased the nearest Darts, caught them despite the pilots' evasive maneuvers, and...

Hakuno sighed, bowing her head under the effect of fatigue as six simultaneous explosions illuminated the dark velvet of the cosmos.

Surprised that everyone looked at her, Kishinami clenched her hands against her chest, turning her head to the right and then to the left.

"Hmm?"

All the crew on the bridge was in awe.

Liem summarized the opinions of the other Asurans.

"How can you do that?"

The Last Master blinked.

"I don't know... I just do it, that's all."

A hyperspace window suddenly opened. An Asuran Cruiser emerged. Much smaller than an Aurora-class Battleship, the spacecraft had the classical "chunky" appearance of the Lantean ship, with arrays of weapons turrets, reinforcing plates, and windows. At the bow, the main body of the ship ended with two antennas array, it also had two smaller lateral arms, attached symmetrically to the central part.

The ship was followed by two other spacecrafts of the same type, the standard Asurans patrol ship. However, these reinforcements were not really very useful... their crews of Pegasus Replicators had not yet received the Hakuno's Update and could not fight the Wraiths.

Squinting between the swarms of Darts whirling around the Persephone, the three cruisers got close enough to the Aurora-class Battleship to receive the Update, while the spacecraft flack kept the Wraiths at bay.

Leaning over the sensor specialist's console, Thena turned to Liem.

"Sir, we're detecting the opening of several hyperspace windows on the other side of the black hole."

"Are these Wraiths' reinforcements?"

Manipulating a few commands, Thena made a holographic window appear. One could see the image of three Wraiths ships leaving hyperspace.

Liem did not seem very enthusiastic.

"Wraiths Cruisers".

The starships that had just appeared looked like the Darts and Hive Ships, their outer hull was made of an organic polymer that grew like a living being but -although similar to an insect or crustacean shell- it was harder than steel.

Like the Dart fighter, the bow ended in a long needle, but the body of the starship was almost flat, overall triangular, and the stern divided into two symmetrical parts.

"Wait a minute..." Thena leaned over the sensors. "New hyperspatial windows opened... these are ours."

Indeed, two Frigates (2) had just appeared and were rapidly approaching in spite of the Darts that attacked them constantly.

What started out as a skirmish turned into a real space battle.

The cosmic void was strewn with golden or blue-white energy fire, as well as elegant trajectories of weapons drones. In the midst of the explosions, swarms of fighters maneuvered, playing deadly hide-and-seek between drifting wrecks ravaged by nuclear fires

Three Darts were chasing a Jumper on the run, the starfighters were shooting bursts of particles that the pilot was dodging while shifting to one side or the other, sometimes trying to disengage his pursuers by a bold maneuver. But the Wraiths were stubborn, they stayed behind the shuttle, refusing to let it escape. Suddenly, the Jumper disappeared... literally... the crew had used the cloaking device to become invisible.

The three Darts began to circle, looking for their prey or another ship to chase. But by the time they returned to training, two Jumpers decloaked just behind them... the Asurans fired immediately. The Drones caught up with the Darts and... only three fireballs remained.

A hyperspace window opened. Seemingly decelerating fabulously, an Asuran Destroyer (3) went into orbit around the black hole. An airlock opened in her hull and a tractor beam pulled a Stargate out of a cargo bay. The ring had just stabilized in the void thanks to its Vernier rockets that a chevron locked the first symbol of a dialing address.

After a pseudo-geyser, the opening in the center of the ring was replaced by a luminous surface, undulating like water. A Jumper came out of the gate, joined by a second, then a third... and others followed after them.

The squadrons of Asurans Jumpers remained for a moment to circle, the time to receive and install the Hakuno's Update, and then they joined the battle.

"Shields at 80%!"

Liem clenched his teeth as the Persephone busted like a rodeo horse, violently shaken by an avalanche of shots. Two Hive Ships and several Wraiths Cruisers had targeted her.

A huge explosion caused the clouding of the window which allowed seeing the battle in progress. An Asuran Cruiser deprived of shields and literally hammered by the Wraiths had just broken up into a detonation as powerful as an H-bomb.

Around the Aurora-class Battleship, there were still two Frigates, two Asurans Cruisers, and one Destroyer. They fired back with all their weapons. The energy projectiles of the Pulse Weapons and swarm of Drones, continually hit the Wraiths' starships, causing more and more damage... but the Wraiths had a crushing superiority in terms of number and size since their fleet included six Cruisers, two Hive Ships, and four Corvettes. The Asurans had to make evasive maneuvers and change their trajectory constantly to avoid being caught in concentrations of fire capable of destroying even Lantean shields.

Thena straightened herself slightly.

"I detect a sudden heat spike aboard the cruiser designated 'Target N°3'."

"Magnification."

"Right away..."

A translucent virtual window appeared to the right of Liem's seat. He looked at the Wraith Cruiser. Huge melted craters appeared on her surface, the result of a powerful bombardment. Intermittent explosions shook the enormous ship, at a moment bursting flames came out from her wounds, expelling gases, debris, and... corpses. Seeing that cracks appeared on the hull, and stretched, the commander of the Persephone understood that the enemy ship no longer represented any danger.

"She's going to explode!"

As soon as he had said these words, the Wraith Cruiser broke in half. The rear part immediately morphed into a ball of plasma. In its expansion, the fiery gas cloud catch-up the front part and destroyed it.

Many Asurans forgot their usual formal attitude to shouting victory, but their joy was short-lived.

"Several Darts squadrons approaching at 170°!"

"Suicide bombers! Redirect the Pulse Weapons fire to this new threat!"

On the surface of the Persephone's hull, several Pulse Weapons banks stopped fire for a brief moment, and then the turrets pivoted to reopen the fire, this time targeting the swarms of fighters on approach.

Among the Darts suicide squadrons, the Flak wreaked havoc and the explosions multiplied... but hundreds of Wraith Fighters were diving on the Persephone, launched on a collision trajectory.

The bridge of the Aurora-class Battleship was violently shaken for nearly three minutes, while all the fighters who had survived the Flak smashed against her shields. A console exploded suddenly as a rain of sparks fell from the ceiling. An Asuran catapulted by the impact hit a bulkhead and remained motionless for five seconds and calmly standing up before returning to his post to begin repairs!

The Pegasus Replicators were very difficult to destroy!

"Shield at 65%"

"Damages sustained section 43, D deck."

"Section 56, C deck, opens to void."

"Damage to propulsion, acceleration reduced by 2%, repair in progress."

Hakuno clung to a console while the Persephone was hit twice almost simultaneously.

The battle was in favor of the Wraiths... they were simply too many! Clutching her trembling hands against her chest, the Last Master nodded her head whit a determined look.

Approaching the console of the mainframe, the Last Master reached out, palm forward.

"Code Cast: Hack!"

The chief gunner had a reaction of almost human surprise when seeing his screens covered with error messages. All Drone launchers were suddenly offline. He turned towards Liem.

"Commander, Drone launchers are not responding to commands!"

Even before Liem could answer, the communications officer turned to him.

"Message from the Dionea, Drone launchers offline... uh the Cassiopea has the same problem... no... All the ships have the same problem... even the Jumpers report that they can no longer shoot."

A new Wraiths Weapon? The hypothesis was not absurd, it would not be the first time they hacked Lanteans and Asurans' computers.

But that wasn't the right answer. Liem got up, surprised to see drones flying into the cosmos. In fact, Persephone was draining her Drone reserves at an incredible rate, launching all her autonomous weapons in a unique strike. The golden projectiles formed swarms that gathered in the void...

The other ships were in the same situation, emptying their Drones' tanks... and in the cosmic void, Liem could see a sort of gigantic octopus formed of golden dots of light. The Drones that were converging towards this center. But, they did not remain too long going round in circles. As soon as they were numerous enough, they formed into a kind of luminous arm... which flew straight toward the Wraith fleet.

Liem looked around, searching for a clue that would explain this phenomenon, and he saw Hakuno Kishinami. The teen stood by the computer with her arm outstretched and her face tensed in an almost painful expression of concentration...

Of course, the Wraith had not stood idly by. They started firing all their weapons toward the Drones' Swarm. They even sent their Darts to physically intercept the Drones, sacrificing them in mutual destruction. But the flow of the smart weapons was not even slowed down, separating into two major arms (directed towards the Hive Ships) and several dozen minor arms (towards the other spaceships).

The result was carnage... it was also a magnificent spectacle to see, like a concert of a thousand musicians playing under the baton of a single conductor. The Drones were throwing themselves at the Cruisers creating holes in the outer hulls so that other drones would destroy the vital organs inside of the spaceships. Swarms of Drones emerged on the other side of the ships and plunged back on them to open more breaches and continue to destroy them from the inside.

The Hive Ships attracted the most drones. The Asurans could see multiple swarms swirling around them. It had taken a little longer for the first swarms to go through and through these gigantic ships. But soon, they too were nothing but adrift wrecks ravaged by multiple explosions.

A first cruiser disintegrated, then a second one... a minute later there was no longer a Wraith living in orbit around the black hole GW234688, the drones having eliminated even the Darts.

The stupefied silence on the bridge of the Persephone was broken by a sigh of contentment and exhaustion. All Asurans turned to the last Master of the Moon...

The teenage girl had fallen to her knees and rubbed her chest while hyperventilating.

Thena was the first to speak again.

"Wow..."

It was the short version of: "It's amazing! To wipe out the Wraiths, Hakuno had to take control of all the firing computers in the fleet, not only the Capitals Ships but also the Jumpers. In addition, she has managed ten major targets simultaneously, implementing on the Drones several alternative strategies to destroy them."

Not only achieving so many simultaneous hacks was a feat in itself, but Hakuno had also demonstrated staggering tactical talents, striking the enemy in a coordinated attack combining diversions with targeted and synchronic attacks on multiple weak points.

In orbit of Abydos, aboard the Asgard cruiser Haüstlong.

Major Samantha Carter paced back and forth on the O'Neill-class starship bridge, thinking aloud.

"I'm a Replicator... why do I want to invade the Milky Way?"

A little worried, Colonel Jack O'Neill approached Daniel Jackson.

"Do you think it's serious? What if Sam tries to eat a wall?"

Teal'c raised an eyebrow.

"Major Carter is more likely to hurt her teeth."

Sam had of course heard the dialogue and shook her head as amused as exasperated.

"Stop, boys, you're distracting me. I'm just trying to put myself in the shoes of RepliCarter."

The Asgard had just given them very disturbing news. The original Replicators (not the Pegasus specie) had left the Othala Galaxy, probably to attack the Milky Way.

Thor, the Supreme Commander of the Asgard Fleet had come to Abydos to ask for Carter's help, as the Humanoid Replicator directing its congeners had the appearance, but also the mental patterns of the real Sam.

The young scientist shook her head.

"What do the Replicators want?"

Thor, until then silent, blinked slowly before answering in a calm voice:

"Replicates themself."

Carter stopped walking back to the Asgard, raising her finger.

"Exactly... the Replicators become what they eat. If a Replicator eats this Neutronium partition, it creates more Neutronium Blocks. These Blocks will assemble, creating more Replicators... initiating a chain reaction until the Replicators become innumerable and overwhelmed the planet where the first Replicator appeared... then they go to the next planet, threatening all life."

Carter paused for a moment to think and then spoke again.

"In fact, the Replicators need two things: materials and energy. They prefer to reproduce by using the materials at their disposal because this relieves them of having to refine complex alloys."

Carter turned to O'Neill.

"Colonel, do you remember our first encounter with the Replicators? They infested Thor's ship. We managed to destroy Thor's Biliskner, but a Replicator survived and was recovered by a Russian submarine. The Replicators built on this old submarine were made of oxidized steel."

"And these crabs ended up at the bottom of the Pacific where they rust without disturbing anyone," replied Jack.

"That's why I don't understand why they left Othala. The Milky Way is far less technologically advanced than the Asgard homeland. Remember, after the Replicators invaded Hala, the most populous planet in the Asgard-dominated space, they assimilated the Neutronium of Hala's gigantic skyscrapers. They also used the planet generators supplying the huge cities to their advantage. This allowed them to evolve and take a humanoid form. The degree of evolution of the Replicators is directly related to the materials at their disposal and the energy sources from which they can draw. "

Sam turned to the dome-shaped screen overlooking the Haüstlong's bridge, showing the stars of the galaxy.

"And the Milky Way is much less technologically advanced. It makes no sense... Why waste time, waste energy to get to a place where available materials are less sophisticated and where there is less energy... it doesn't make sense... and Replicators are fundamentally logical." Major Carter shook her head and said again, "This makes absolutely no sense."

Everyone was thinking about what Samantha had just explained. Finally, the first to speak was Daniel. He turned to Thor.

"The Othala galaxy may be a very advanced source of materials with many energy sources... but the Asgards are capable of defending their planets."

The Commander of the Fleet understood the implicit question.

"Indeed, the spread of Replicators has slowed down significantly in recent years... thanks to you."

"You mean SG-1?"

Thor blinked slowly and nodded his head.

"Certainly, you and the other members of SG-1 have been very helpful, Doctor Jackson. But our last victories have been won with new weapons that we built specifically to fight the Replicators."

Thor's chair hovered up to a console. The Asgard moved a Stone from one position to another. A holographic window appeared, showing several O'Neill-class orbiting a planet. They were shooting at Replicators' ships and destroying them in a few strokes.

"Before we met the Tau'ri, our weapons were completely ineffective. The energy released by a Bilisker's Ion Guns was absorbed by the Blocks that formed the hull of the Replicators ships." Thor held out a finger to the G36K assault rifle that Jack was carrying suspended across his chest. "But your ingenious weapons create a kinetic shock, which temporarily annihilates the magnetism that binds the Blocks together, dislocating the Replicators. The O'Neill-class Ions Guns replicate this effect. You taught us how to defeat our enemy."

Jack smiled... a little embarrassed.

"Oh... that's what friends are for... if you really want to thank me, why don't you come with me and fish for trout? I know a great river in Vermont and..."

"Daniel has a point, it's probably part of the explanation. The Asgard pose a growing threat to the Replicators, and this justifies their search for less defended materials and energy elsewhere. But that doesn't justify them completely abandoning Othala."

As Thor turned his head to listen to Sam, Jack sighed.

"Why won't anyone go fishing with me?"

Teal'c rolled his eyes, he had accepted the invitation once, and had spent the most boring afternoon in his whole life... he vowed never to do it again.

"There must be something in the Milky Way that irresistibly attracts the Replicators. But what could be attractive enough to completely change their priorities?"

Thor blinked and pointed to a console.

"Major Carter, I suggest you look for the information you need in the databases of the Haüstlong."

"Ow!"

Sam stood up rubbing her back.

"I'm too tall to work on an Asgard console."

Next to her, Thor turned his head slowly.

"I apologize for the discomfort."

For the past two hours, Samatha Carter has been moving an Asgard Stone from one location to another on the computer control console. She sometimes stopped to watch scenes filmed on planets or in orbit, or to read reports in Asgard language. She just opened a file.

"I think I found something."

She pointed to a line of text on a holographic screen. Thor drew closer.

"Indeed, Major Carter, Niphenheim is the last Asgard planet that was conquered by the Replicators. Do you mind?"

Taking the Stone, the Asgard opened an additional window and quickly read the information.

"This icy planet was the site of a research laboratory. As soon as our enemies arrived, the scientists were evacuated by the Daniel Jackson-class Research Ship, which was stationed there. Nevertheless, the laboratory's self-destruction device appears to have been neutralized by the Replicators."

The words 'research laboratory' had attracted Carter's full attention.

"What research were you doing in that lab?"

Thor again manipulated the Stone and a hologram of the base appeared, the buildings were grouped in such a way as to form a five-pointed star, connected together by pressurized corridors.

"It depends. Each wing in the lab was doing different research. Wing A, for example, was working on a plasma beam weapon. B Wing was more about Ancient artifacts...

"Wait a minute! The ancients never lived in the Othala galaxy!"

"Correct, Major Carter, the artifacts that were being studied were brought back from the Milky Way millions of years ago by our ancestors as a testimony of the Ancient's culture and their scientific advancements."

Thor opened a third window, revealing a list of ancient artifacts found by Asgard archaeologists opposite the list of planets where they were found.

Sam suddenly flinched.

"An element of the Dakara Molecular Constructor?"

Teal'c, sitting on the ground with Jack and Daniel, suddenly stood up.

"Dakara?"

"Teal'c, do you know this planet?"

"Indeed, it is a sacred planet for all Jaffa. It was here that the Goa'uld created the first Jaffa and initiated the first Prim'ta Ritual (introduction of a Goa'uld larva into a Jaffa placental pocket). Legend has it that the Ancients settled on Dakara to seed life throughout the galaxy."

"And you've heard of this Molecular Constructor?"

Teal'c shook his head.

"Strictly speaking, no. But the Jaffa tradition has it that the Goa'uld searched the planet because they believed the Ancients had left a superweapon there. Fortunately, they never found it and the existence of such a weapon is now considered a mere legend."

Getting up in turn, Daniel came to join Sam.

"And the Asgard know where this Molecular Constructor is and what it's for?"

It was Thor who answered.

"It is in the nature of the Goa'uld to see a weapon in what was first fashioned to create life."

"To create to life?"

"Correct, Doctor Jackson, 5 million years ago, an unknown people (4) attacked the Milky Way, eradicating all life forms with a virus. The Ancients repopulated the galaxy using an artifact capable of creating life by assembling living creatures at the molecular level." Thor paused and thought before speaking again. "But it's true that Dakara's artifact can also deconstruct living matter at the molecular level... and instantly kill all living beings in the Milky Way."

Sam was now as pale as a blanket.

"That's what the Replicators are looking for, a weapon able to eradicate all life... and leave the technical facilities intact. They would have an entire galaxy to spread without any opposition!"

In space, not far from the Dakara System

Ba'al's flagship was in free fall in the void, surrounded by a small fleet composed of several Ha'tak, but also Al'kesh and Hok Al'kesh. Death Gliders squadrons patrolled up to a distance of several light-hours.

Clad in leather trousers and a white shirt wide open on a gold medallion, Lord Ba'al admirably concealed his anxiety. Standing in a cargo hold of his ship, he stood with his arms crossed, looking at an orange force field that separated him from the vacuum of space.

A spaceship entered the hangar. Her appearance was unusual at best because she was not made of metal. Her hull was like woven light.

A man... or more precisely a human-like individual... left the Ship of Light. His hair was blond and he had a disdainful smile. However, his eyes had vertical pupils...

"Gilgamesh, my friend, I was beginning to worry about your absence."

Ba'al had just approached the Servant, virtually dripping with (forced) affability. For a moment, the King of Uruk looked at him with annoyance, but he forced himself to smile.

"Lord Ba'al, how are you?"

"You could say I'm fine... if I didn't have to clean up this system."

With a mere wave, Gilgamesh sent the Ship of Light back inside Gate of Babylon. He didn't really listen to Ba'al who kept talking.

"Come, my friend, come with me to my apartments, we have some time to talk over a glass of wine. Unfortunately, I could not stay long with you. Shol'va (traitor/ heretics) took over Dakara, a planet that was part of the territory of my ally Anubis. And he asked me to crush the rebellion."

Walking at the height of Ba'al and followed by four Jaffa in chainmail armed with Staff Weapons, Gilgamesh allowed himself to be led through the corridors decorated with gilded metal plates and lit by braziers.

"I am glad to see that you are obeying all Anubis' orders, faithfully," replied the King of Uruk in a rather contemptuous tone.

Ba'al smiled, not seeming to notice the mockery.

"Only to be nice to you."

"To be nice to me," Gilgamesh repeated.

"Have you forgotten? Anubis has an extensive database about the Ancients aboard his flagship. I obey Anubis out of friendship for you... so that you can consult the onboard computer in search of clues about Hakuno Kishinami." The Goa'uld took a melodramatic pause before concluding with a sad voice worthy of the Oscar for best actor. "But everything would be easier if we went aboard with a status more useful than mere guests."

Gilgamesh stopped in the middle of the passageway and looked at Ba'al with an amused smile.

"More useful than mere guests... How am I supposed to understand this, my 'friend'?"

The System Lord had stopped next to his guest. The Goa'uld was not really an impeccable individual. He was an unbearable egomaniac with an insatiable lust for power, able of doing unimaginable evil, but he was also courageous, intelligent, and... manipulative.

He watched the Humanity First Hero.

"Let's face it... you don't care what happens to this galaxy. It doesn't matter who's in charge, does it? All you care about is finding Hakuno Kishinami."

Gilgamesh showed a little anger.

"Hakuno... The Tau'ri have already found her... she is kept captive in the city of Atlantis (5). But this city is in another galaxy. The power you boast of possessing, my dear Ba'al, does not extend beyond the Milky Way. How can you still help me?"

Although the Golden King's gaze hardened, the Goa'uld showed no signs of panic. Although he knew that Gilgamesh could impale him against a wall without the slightest hesitation, Bal'al had a mocking half-smile, as if he was perfectly in control of the situation.

A Chinese proverb says, "It's not riding a tiger that's hard. It's getting off the saddle after the ride!"

"Anubis will certainly welcome me aboard his flagship if I crush the Jaffa revolt. You could of course accompany me. At that point... if you eliminate Anubis, you will have access to his computer. No one knows more about the Ancients than he does. I'm sure Anubis knows which galaxy they migrated to."

Gilgamesh looked at Ba'al with surprise, amusement, and even... a little admiration.

"You propose to exchange Anubis' star empire for the possibility of ..."

Ba'al dared to cut the Golden King.

"... the certainty of finding Atlantis and Hakuno Kishinami." He smiled again. "I'm sure it's more valuable to you than a star empire. So it's not a great sacrifice."

Now very amused, the King of Uruk turned his head back. One hand on his forehead, he began to laugh!

"What a naughty boy..."

"Yeah, I'm pretty proud of myself."

However, Gilgamesh quickly resumed his seriousness.

"So, to start, you have to crush this rebellion on Dakara, right?"

"Exactly."

"I'll help you."

Ba'al bowed slightly, one hand on the heart.

"I am grateful for what."

The threads of a complex plot, involving three galaxies, were tied to Dakara. Othala Replicators, Pegasus Replicators, Tau'ri, Asgards, Free Jaffas, and Goa'ulds were involved (consciously or not) in this whirlwind of events.

Note from the author:

What to remember from this episode:

- Giving Hakuno the control of thousands of smarts, self-guided weapons programmed to find the weak points of an enemy is overkill. She's pretty strong at this game on her own.

- One can applaud Ba'al for successfully manipulating Gilgamesh (well he noticed and let it happen... for the moment) but... congratulations anyway. It's like juggling five sticks of lighted dynamite. It's impressive and requires a lot of courage. But it will end with a big 'boom' and the spectators will regret having stayed until the end of the show.

- The Othala Replicators are going to meet Gilgamesh... I don't know why, but I think this alien race of mechanical crabs will be put on the list of extinct species the same day...

(1) As a reminder, the Lantean (and Asuran) Jumpers have no shields, their only protection is the Cloaking Devise. The Atlantis expedition's Jumpers were upgraded by McKay who modified the Cloaking Devise to also serve as a shield generator.

(2) Frigate: Lantean design used by the Asurans, looks like a scaled-down version of the Aurora-class Battleship (a third of her size). The main difference is that the Frigate has no side arm... and therefore no long-range scanner. The Frigate also has a more compact shape, the silhouette is less elongated.

(3) Destroyer: Lantean design used by the Asurans, looks like a scaled-down version of the Aurora-Class Battleship (half her size). Unlike the Frigate which has different proportions, the Destroyer is almost identical (and can therefore be confused with an Aurora-class from certain angles). The only difference is that the destroyer has two side arms instead of one.
