1:39 AM
Jasmine heard the sound of something banging against metal, which made her wake up and hit her head. She couldn't see anything.
"Hello? Is anybody out here?" She yelled. She felt around some more, feeling metal walls all around herself. "Is this a cage?"
Another branch fell on the cage.
Jasmine flinched and began to bang against the cage. "I need to get out of here! I think something is crawling on me! HELP!"
1:41 AM
Scott felt a pounding in his head. He began to touch the sore spot and felt a giant bump. It felt like something was repeatedly stabbing him in the forehead. "What happened?"
He felt around and began to feel the skinny, cold metal bars surrounding him. "Am I caged up?
A small white TV screen popped up in front of Scott, nearly blinding him.
"Greetings Campers!" Chris's voice echoed through the camp. His voice came from the speakers but everyone had little screens in their cage, showing them what the challenge was going to be. "Are you guys ready for a night challenge?"
1:43 AM
Jo looked around while in the cage, having woken up by Chris's voice.
"In your guy's dessert that you had tonight, the ice cream had crushed up Melatonin pills inside. You also had some Melatonin gummies that you could've topped your ice cream with. After that, Chef and I loaded you guys into cages and you guys are now all over the island."
"Screw you, McLean!" Jo yelled.
"Now, I know you guys are yelling insults at me right now, and that's okay!" Chris continued. "In the cage with you is a neon bag with 3 items inside! You have a glow bracelet, a ripped paper, and half of your team has batteries while the other half has flashlights. You need to find your team and put the pieces of paper together. That will give you an image of where I am! Once your whole team finds me, you're safe! And the last team to get here WILL face an elimination! Goats have blue bracelets, Roosters have red bracelets, and Catfish have green bracelets! Now good luck!"
Jo's cage door unhatched itself and sprung open. Jo jumped as it hit the side of the cage, but began to open the bag. She snapped the glow bracelet which turned bright red, and she put it on. Then she reached in to find an empty flashlight and the piece of paper.
Jo Confessional:
"Can't believe that they're getting away with dosing us with Melatonin and then trapping us in cages! I don't play nice, but I do play hard! Bring it on Chris!"
Jo crawled out of the cage. "Let's get this over with! ROOSTERS! FOLLOW MY VOICE!"
1:48 AM
After walking in the dark woods, alone, for 5 minutes, Bridgette's fear began to resurface. She began to fumble her hands and began to sweat.
"Chris… if you can hear me… I will find you! And I promise… I really do… I will hurt you!"
Some rustling came from the bush a little ways away from her. "As long as something doesn't get me first!"
Bridgette began to get shudders down her back but she froze once she heard a twig snap.
"There's nothing there… Pull it together, Bridgette! It's all in your head! All in my head…"
Trent walked out of the bushes with a bruise on his left arm.
"Who's there?" Bridgette called out.
"It's Trent!" Trent yelled as he tried to make out the image of Bridgette's silhouette. "Who is that?"
"Trent, It's Bridgette!"
They both began to walk towards each other, seeing the glow of the bracelets.
"What item do you have? Batteries or Flashlight?" Trent asked.
"Flashlight." Bridgette answered.
"Dang it!" Trent exclaimed.
"I'm so glad you showed up when you did! I get really freaked out when I'm alone in the woods." Bridgette explained.
Trent patted her shoulder. "Glad I could help. My mom has that same problem! Gwen must be freaked out right now! She was trapped in that cage, so I know she's not doing alright right now."
Bridgette smiled at Trent.
Bridgette Confessional:
"I was very skeptical about Gwen and Trent hooking up. But if I'm being honest, why was I? Trent treats her like a priority, and that says a lot. Maybe that's why Gwen hasn't been talking to me recently… I need to find her."
1:53 AM
Mike's inner Manitoba began to kick in. He didn't have the personality, but he did have the skills. He began to climb up a very tall tree.
"It really is a lovely night underneath the stars, tonight. Only if this wasn't a challenge!" Mike scoffed. He climbed up to the top branch and looked upon the ground. Chris was right, they were all spread apart by a lot. He instantly saw a glimpse of red. "Bingo!"
He took a deep breath. "Okay, Svetlana, we haven't done this in years!" He said to himself. "But I really need you to pull through!"
He closed his eyes for a moment then looked back down, seeing the red glow getting closer. He let go of the branch with his hand and counted down under his breath. "3… 2… 1…" He then jumped down, out of the tree, flipping and landing in front of the red glow.
Courtney jumped back as Mike landed in front of her. "Mike!"
Mike looked at her wrist. "Hey Courtney!"
"Where did you come from?" Courtney asked.
"I was up in that tree. I was able to spot the red from your bracelet." He explained.
"Okay. Well I'm glad we found each other. What is in your bag?"
"I have a flashlight." Mike answered.
Courtney gasped and began digging in her bag. "I have batteries!"
They put the batteries into the flashlight, as Mike held onto it.
"We have light!" Mike exclaimed.
"Great! Now let's find some others!" Courtney said.
1:55 AM
Devin looked around with his batteries gripped tightly in his hand. He looked up at the moon, surprisingly bright, but only for him to see a few yards in front of himself. "Any Goats?" He yelled.
"There's one right here!" A familiar voice called back.
Devin was quite shocked to get a response. "Marco…"
"Polo!"
"Marco!" Devin called.
They continued that until they could see each other. It was Jazelle that he was yelling back and forth to.
"Jazelle! I'm so happy that I found you!" Devin exclaimed.
"Why?" Jazelle asked. "It's not like we're friends."
"Well… yeah… But we are teammates and we are just getting closer into the challenge." Devin said.
"Well, fine. I have a flashlight, you?"
Devin pulled out his hand, with the batteries in his palm. "Batteries!"
Jazelle took the batteries and put them in her flashlight. The flashlight was broken, and kept flickering. "Just my luck! Chris gave me a broken light."
"Hey, I'm surprised that the Marco Polo thing worked." Devin said. "Do you think we should use it more often?"
"No. That thing was cheesy and out of place." Jazelle remarked.
"True…" Devin agreed as they both gave a subtle look to the camera, then looked back at each other. "Well, let's get going. We don't have anything better to do."
1:59 AM
Dawn was sitting on a stump, taking time for herself.
Dawn Confessional:
"I've always been a fan of the darkness. It's a place where I can let go of all of my thoughts and enjoy time for myself. I just hope nobody comes along to ruin it."
Scott came walking past Dawn, holding his head. "Dawn? Is that you?"
Dawn sighed. "Hi Scott."
"I'm so happy to find you! Do you know what happened to my head?"
"You were dropped on it… several times…" Dawn answered poking fun.
"I think I was hit in the head by something, or stung maybe?"
Dawn walked up to Scott and examined his forehead. "Looks like you were hit in the head by something really hard, possibly something when you were sleeping. Maybe the flashlight in your bag?"
"How did you know I had… wait…" Scott said searching through his bag.
"Well, I have a flashlight as well, so it's no good." Dawn replied. "But I have an idea."
"Good luck, fairy princess." Scott teased.
Dawn laughed. "Well funny you say that, because I'm going to do something that'll make you think that even more."
Scott was suspicious. "Prove it."
Dawn walked over to a bush and knelt down, laying her hand on the ground, beside it. "It's okay, little ones, I'm friendly!"
"What are you doing?" Scott asked.
"Shhh, this is a slow process." Dawn said as she leaned forward more. "Please, help us glow."
Suddenly, hundreds of fireflies began to glow, all around them, following their every movement. A few fireflies that Dawn was originally talking to began to crawl on her hands, going on top of her sleeve, and to her other arm. They all had the same pattern to them, bringing them plenty of light.
"That's really impressive Dawn, like out of a fairytale!" Scott said.
"I know. Stay with me, and you'll be fine."
"Yes, Ma'am." Scott replied.
2:07 AM
Jasmine used the same method as Mike did, climbing up a tree to get the best possible view.
Jasmine Confessional:
"I guess that I miss Shawn so much that I'm starting to take after him. He's had a pretty big effect on me and I miss him so much. But Emma would be so mad if I sulked over him being gone. *laughs* Actually, she spent a whole day crying over Noah, so I would imagine that she wouldn't go that far. But still, I miss Shawn!"
"To get the all seeing view, you must be the highest climber!" She told herself. "Like a hawk watching its prey!"
She couldn't see anything from her view.
"Wow, this forest has one thick canopy!" She exclaimed. Then an idea popped into her head. She jumped down onto a lower branch and jumped onto another tree, sticking the landing. This tree had huge leaves, about the length of her arms all the way across. She picked off the leaf and began to climb higher. Reaching the top branch of the other tree, she took a deep breath and jumped, using the leaf to glide down. Using the stars and the moonlight to help her, she was able to see the main lodge. "Easy does it now, Jasmine. Gotta land carefully."
Gwen and Carrie looked up, coming around the corner of the Mainlodge.
"This team… is really something." Gwen said.
Carrie nodded. "Very resourceful and creative."
"Hey girls!" Jasmine greeted as she circled around them, landing a little ways behind.
"Jasmine, where did you learn to do that?" Carrie asked.
"Yeah, did you learn from a lunatic?" Gwen questioned.
Jasmine smirked. "Shawn taught me. So you're not that far off."
"My apologies." Gwen said. "Well, that was pretty impressive, nice job."
"Thanks." Jasmine replied. "So, what do you girls have?"
Carrie and Gwen both sighed. "Batteries." They said at the same time.
"What about you?" Carrie asked.
"I have batteries as well." Jasmine said. "How did you do with the cage?" She asked motioning to Gwen.
"Um… it was rough. It's not the first time I've been stuck like that on this show. Not even the second."
"Jasmine, how did you do with it?" Carrie asked.
"Well, my first instinct was to feel around, and then to scream." Jasmine replied.
"We better get back to looking for our teammates. I'm really tired at the moment and I'd like to get this challenge done as soon as possible." Gwen said.
2:21 AM
Harold began to walk along the beach. He didn't know where he was, but eventually, he'd reach the dock and be able to get himself to his cabin. He began to think more about what Zoey had said to him. But, yet, he was still conflicted on whether or not he was good enough. "I suppose that if Leshawna wants me, then she'll stay. But if she doesn't… I'll have to let her go." He told himself.
He began to kick the sand with his feet. "Leshawna is a smart, wonderful girl though. She would know that I'd do anything for her."
As he continued to kick the sand, he ended up kicking up a silver and gold necklace. He gasped and picked it up.
"This is Leshawna's!" He exclaimed. There was a tiny note attached to the side. Leshawna's voice was heard as Harold began to read it, using his glow bracelet to help him.
"Hey Harold baby, it's Leshawna! I planted this note and my necklace here while we snuck on the Island in the first episode. If you're reading this, that means I'll get my necklace back! Anyways... I remember when you got me this necklace. It meant the world to me and I wanted to tell you that you do too! Back on TDI, you were this scrawny little creampuff who held my heart close to your own (not saying you're not still like that today). But if I ever made it seem like I didn't love you, then I'm sorry! You are my best friend, and the love of my life. Now stop being a fool and bring home the cash for me! I know you miss me and you're moping around. Xoxo Leshawna.
P.S. you'll always be good enough."
Harold began to tear up and put the necklace on. He then neatly folded the note and stuffed it in his pocket.
Harold Confessional:
"It's obviously destiny that me and Leshawna are together! I was still able to find this even AFTER the hurricane went down! I'm coming home, Leshawna! With the cash! I promise you."
Harold looked up at the stars, and thought about Leshawna's eyes. "I won't let you down!"
2:26 AM
Sammy kinda knew where she was. She could see the confessional from a distance and figured she'd walk up to it. She had almost arrived when she overheard some people talking. They were in the confessional together, chatting. She decided to walk up behind the confessional and squat down, to eavesdrop. She pulled her phone out, carefully and quietly, and began to record their conversation.
"Sky, I need you to listen to me!" Jo exclaimed. "We need to take down Mike! He's a threat to our game."
"Shouldn't we be more focused on winning challenges and not voting other people out?" Sky questioned. "Besides, I thought you wanted to get Courtney out of here."
"Well I have a lot of people to get out! Courtney, Scott, Dawn, Sammy, and now Mike!" Jo exclaimed.
"That's our whole team, except for Owen!" Sky said. "You need to calm down."
"Owen will fall behind by himself! Stop worrying about my plans!" Jo said. "I'm still waiting to let out Dawn and Sammy's dirty little secret."
"These are our plans!" Sky yelled. "And we made a promise that we'd keep our mouths shut about their kiss!"
"We are two different players." Jo said. "You had your time to shine, and you were forgotten. This is my time to shine and I will be the best player in this game's history! So either get out of my way, or get ran over!" Jo yelled before storming out. Sky followed her, with her flashlight in her hands. They were both just outside of the confessional.
"Jo, I have an idea!" Sky said giving in. "Let's focus on taking out Courtney and then we can take out Dawn and Sammy! We can get Scott to vote out Courtney, Sammy, and Dawn with us and then we can take out him and Mike around the same time."
Jo nodded. "Look who's finally being helpful. It's about time."
Sky smiled. "Well, I want to help you achieve your goals, so why not. Besides, we have a final two in play."
Jo laughed. "More like in consideration. We'll see if you're worthy enough."
Sammy stopped and saved her recording as they walked away. "Looks like someone else is going to play your own game against you."
Sammy Confessional:
"So it seems as if Dawn doesn't want me around in this game anymore! Which is fine with me! Because now I finally have a little bit of leverage in this game." *sighs* "I miss Dawn"
2:39 AM (1 Hour In)
Lightning and Zoey were hiking through camp together. They made a flashlight together and were actually getting along quite well.
"...And that's when Jazelle and I really seemed to click." Lightning said. "I cherish that day on the beach."
"That's really exciting for you!" Zoey exclaimed. "Have you talked to her about anorexia?"
"She doesn't want to talk about it. I dunno why." Lightning said.
"It could be a weak spot for her." Zoey mentioned. "So, no matter what, you have to be supportive… but not pushy."
"I'm not going to push her to tell me!" Lightning stated. "I'll just ask her about it everyday until she talks about it."
Zoey looked over to Lightning. "I hope you don't hurt her. She may seem strong, but I promise you, she's delicate."
Lightning nodded his head. "I won't hurt her. I have a heart, you know."
Jazelle and Devin walked up to Lightning and Zoey.
"Hey, guys." Devin greeted.
"Hiya, there!" Zoey said. "I see you have a flashlight."
"Yup, we met up a little while ago." Jazelle responded.
"You guys want to split up?" Lightning asked. "Jazelle and I can go… uh… this way! While you guys go the other way."
"That's a horrible move!" Jazelle mentioned. "I mean why split up when we just found each other?"
"Jazelle has a point." Devin said.
"What if we just hang in a group, then. That'll be our safest bet." Zoey suggested.
"That's fine with me," Jazelle replied.
Jazelle Confessional:
"Zoey and Lightning are so transparent! I know that they're trying to get me to open up about it, but I'm not comfortable with it!"
2:44 AM
Lindsay woke up on the ground, covered in bruises and scratches. "Owie…"
She brushed off the sand and dirt that was on her legs and arms and she got up. She grabbed her bag that was in the sand and shook it off. She began to whimper as she limped on.
"I need to find somebody… fast!"
2:50 AM
Sky, Jo, Sammy, Dawn, Scott, Mike, and Courtney had all met up. Nobody knew where Owen was.
Sammy and Dawn walked a little ways behind the rest of the group as they tried to find Owen.
"Dawn, how are you feeling?" Sammy asked.
"I'm happy!"
"Happy!?" Sammy exclaimed. "Well… why?"
"I'm happy, walking alone." Dawn said as she sped up in front of her.
Sammy got on her phone. "Welp… it's now or never."
Sammy caught up to the rest, with her phone at her side. "Guys! I think I know where Owen is!"
Everyone turned around.
"Tell us, failed cheerleader!" Jo demanded.
She looked on her phone. "I got a missed call from him… oh wait… he left a voicemail."
Jo rolled her eyes. "Play it!"
Sammy pressed play on the recording.
(from the phone)
"Jo, I have an idea!" Sky said giving in. "Let's focus on taking out Courtney and then we can take out Dawn and Sammy! We can get Scott to vote out Courtney, Sammy, and Dawn with us and then we can take out him and Mike around the same time."
Sammy looked up and gasped. "Oh no… that can't be good."
"You were going to take me out?" Scott exclaimed. "I was helping you guys!"
"We can explain!" Sky blurted out.
"Sure, try to get yourself out of this mess!" Courtney yelled. "You always do!"
"I see why Courtney was against you all this time!" Mike said.
"Thank you!" Courtney said.
"That's really low for you guys!" Sammy noted.
Owen walked up. "Oh there you guys are! I feel like I've been walking in circles for the past hour."
"Owen! Why would you record our conversation?" Sky yelled.
"I didn't record anything!" Owen said. "Honest! I don't know what you guys are talking about."
"Are you dumb, Sky?" Jo asked. "Sammy recorded us!"
Sammy smirked. "Don't blame it on me, you guys are the real monsters here."
Sky and Jo glanced at each other.
Courtney then stepped in. "I'm going to tell you all something! I made many mistakes in the past. I got with Duncan and Scott at the same time and juggled them. And I'm so sorry to both of them, truly I am. But the only reason why it got out there, was because I told Jo, Sky, and Dawn and Jo and Sky told Scott and Duncan. And if I recall… it was because I disagreed with you guys. I understand why Scott teamed up with you guys, I hurt him. And then at the party, Sky and Jo wouldn't leave me alone so that's why the fight broke out! But they manipulated all of us to the core and now they're the ones who will suffer!"
Courtney took her bookbag off. "Can I have the bags?" She asked the group. Owen, Dawn, Mike, Sammy, and Scott all gave them to her. She went through every bag and pulled out the pieces, and ripped them up, into her own bag. "We are going to lose this challenge and one of you guys is going home! I just don't know who is worse!"
Everyone threw their bags at Jo and Sky and walked away.
"The circus is going out of business, ring master. And we're the ones who look like clowns." Sky said to Jo as she went on her own, in a different direction.
Sammy Confessional:
"I did what I had to do. Either Jo or Sky are going home and that's fine with me. I also edited out the part about 'Dawn and Sammy's dirty little secret' . Nobody messes with me and my girlfriend. OH CRAP! WAI-"
