This is it, we are reaching the end of season 2 and its big climax. Like always I must remind you that I don't own Transformers Prime what so ever.
Chapter 16
There were only a handful of relic locations left that needed to be decode and it meant that there was a scramble between the Autobots and the Decepticons for the last of them. This also meant that the bots were busy and were sometimes late in picking up the kids. Amber wasn't all that bothered by it since she could talk to Optimus almost any time she wanted. Jack, Miko and Raf may have felt left out with the bots keeping secrets from them, which was why they bugged Amber for information. She however didn't have much to tell them, especially since most of the time she was spending at base was learning how to use and control the Scythe. It was actually not too hard to use with Optimus guidance and at times a bit of a nudge from the Light of Primus. She had quickly learned that she could have it take the form of any weapon she could imagine. From a knife to glave or naginata, even a bow but to use that she of course would have to hae arrows to shoot.
It wasn't too long after the visit to the old MECH base that Amber's visions and dreams had been strange of late, which left her both confused and tired. They were all filled with a dark and destroyed landscape, a battle going on around her and a huge machine. It looked ancient with a pool of glowing water that was far above her head. The visions were not very clear but she also saw Solus there along with the rest of the thirteen, all looking at her. They were staring down at her or at the device and Amber kept hearing Primus's voice but she could not make out a word that was being said.
Optimus noticed the change in Amber and always tried to make time for her but with the push to gather the last of the relics it was becoming harder. It didn't help that Smokescreen, who had not changed or matured too much kept getting on everyone's nerves. Then one day he not only broke the speed limit on the highway but he transformed in front and let his picture be taken by a human he nearly forced off the road. Hearing about it this Amber glared at him much like Arcee was, both had their arms crossed well Optimus got after the rookie for his behaviour. Though she didn't really think that the rest of the bots were responsible for Smokescreen's behaviour. She couldn't really argue that he did have a point about not taking the time to get Smoke adjusted to life on earth. Especially the rules of the road it seemed. Then Optimus suggested that a human teach Smokescreen about how to live among humans.
"Smokescreen gets his own partner?" Arcee asked.
"Please, isn't having 4 humans and a dog here bad enough?" Ratchet demanded causing all of them to look at him. He simply scoffed and rolled his optics before turning back to his work station.
"I was referring to one already among us." Optimus said turning to look at Jack and Amber (Miko had been grounded by her house parents for the weekend and Raf was shopping with his mom).
"Nope not me. I have a book report to write up for English class." Amber said walking away and heading to the sitting area. This of course left Jack to teach Smoke the rules of the road and much like Arcee said, it did make Amber a bit nervous to see the two leave together. This fear may have been justified when the two returned hours later laughing with a picture of Vince's car covered in fast food. Though she may not like the school bully she wasn't sure about the two of them were bonding over prank was good idea.
The next day well Jack was out with Smokescreen again and Optimus was trying to decode another Iacon database location another beacon appeared on Ratchet's screens. The Light was warm in warning while the bots all left to recover the relic from the cons. "Something is not right." Amber said to Ratchet, joining him.
He looked at her and noticed that she was absently rubbing the Light of Primus. "Have you seen anything to suggest a problem?"
"No but the light is warm in a warning sort of way and it is a feeling too." Amber told him but before they could discuss it further a seconded Iacon beacon appeared and Smokescreen came zooming in to the base before his skidded to a stop. Jack and Smoke were laughing loud and hard, apparently they had stuffed pizza in the tail pipe of Jack's boss's car. "Will you two keep it down!" Ratchet snapped a them well he tried to contact the others.
"Ratchet, what's going on?" Jack asked as he and Smokescreen joined them.
"Our scanners detected a second Iacon locator beacon but I can't reach Optimus." Ratchet informed him.
"Let me try through the bond." Amber said immediately reaching for her dad, sending him a feeling of urgency. He was quick to respond and listened well Amber explained the situation to him. Ratchet was then able to get them back to base and to the second beacon's location. Jack and Amber waited nervously with Ratchet for them to return, hopefully in one piece and with the relic. Once they did Amber felt her jaw drop when she saw the Star Saber in her guardian's servos. She didn't really know why but she ran down the steps and joined him, all the while the relic not leaving her sight.
Looking down at her Optimus could see what was holding her focus and didn't hesitate to lower the sword to her. Amber tentatively reached out and laid her hands on the blade, a flood of memoires going through her mind. A glow emanated from her and the three relics, the two on her person and the one in front of her, seeming to put energy into her. The rest of the bots and Jack stared at the sight before them in awe, until Amber finally stepped back, cutting off the flow of energy and she collapsed.
"What just happened?" Smokescreen asked well Ratchet activated his holoform running to her side where Jack was already checking on her. Ratchet checked her over and didn't find anything wrong. It was then that the Star Saber began to glow again but this time it was affecting Optimus, who began to hear a message from Alpha Trion. The third created Prime not only told his former student of the 4 Omega keys and of the Omenga Lock but of Solus's reincarnation.
"I know by now that you are aware of my dear sister's rebirth and have been guarding and guiding her. I am glad that she has been given a second chance for happiness but she was brought back to aid in the restoration of Cybertron. She alone maybe the one to bring life back to our world. The Covenant has also informed me that she will gain the strength and support of one that is very much like her. When they meet you and the others must not interfere. They will need each other, more than she ever needed you but do not worry for I know she deeply cares for you."
Coming back to reality Optimus nearly collapsed, the weight of the Star Saber almost too much in his servos. Lifting his head he was glad that Jack had been able to carry Amber up to the couch out of the way. "Easy Optimus." Ratchet said helping to steady him and back into a standing position.
"How is Amber?" Optimus asked.
"I have found that I cannot scan but from a quick visual exam she appears to be fine." Ratchet informed him but he could see that like himself he was wondering what had just happened between Amber the 3 relics. He saw that Optimus was concerned but did not seem confused by what had happened. Ratchet wanted to question his friend but it was then that Optimus informed them over the importance of last 4 relic's.
Amber's Pov
It had been a few days since Optimus had gotten the Star Saber and received the message from Alpha Trion and since then we humans had not seen the bots very much. They did continue to pick us up after school and such but they would take us directly to our houses and head back to base right after. I know it frustrated Jack and the others, Miko more so, but I knew how important getting the Omega keys were.
You may be wondering how I know about the Omega Keys? The answer is simple, when energy from the Star Saber, Scythe and Light filled my body a private message from Alpha Trion was given to me. He told me that he was glad that I had been reborn but knew that I had had a hard life as the Covenant of Primus had told him so. He hoped that I was well but he did warn me that a trial was to come and that if I was to aid in Cybertrons restoration I had to overcome it. I wasn't too sure of what he meant by it all but I knew that the part of me that was Solus was over joyed to hear from one of her brothers. It was only after I woke a few hours later that I noticed that to my eyes only there was now a blue sort of shimmer under my skin. Like energy had filled my very being.
It was days later we were all informed by the bots about why they had been so distant. "You know I might not be the first human on Cybertron but I can still be the first human exchange student." Miko said clearly excited at the idea of a new born Cybertron and visiting it.
"Why didn't you tell us about the Omega keys before?" Jack asked Arcee.
"You probably didn't notice but things have been a bit intense around here lately" She reminded her partner.
"So you guys could really be going home soon huh?" Raf asked Bee, sounding sad but it was Miko that answered him, saying that Raf could visit the pad she was going to share with Bulk. I could see from Bulkhead's face that he didn't have the heart to tell her that she would not in fact be going with him to live on Cybertron. I had already figured it out that the mech I saw as a dad was soon going to leave earth and go back to his own newly restored home. Though since Alpha Trion's message I was confused how I was to help in Cybertron's restoration.
"Aren't we getting a little ahead of ours selves here?" Ratchet asked being the voice of reason. "Not only do we lack any actual means of reaching Cybertron but Starscream now controls the soul means of our planet's restoration." This of course ticked me off that we had had 3 of the keys and then Starscream used red energon to sneak in and take them right out from us.
"As far as we know." Optimus said looking at me to see if I knew anything but I shook my head no.
"You think Starscream rejoined the cons?" Smokescream asked.
"He might have used the Omega keys to buy back Megatron's favor." Arcee pointed out.
Ratchet humped. "Without first trying to sell them to the highest bidder? Why it wouldn't surprise me if he had the nerve to contact us and-" Just than his workstation beeped saying that someone was contacting base. It surprised many of us that it wasn't Starscream but Dreadwing that was making contact. So with an air of safety, all the bots save Ratchet went to meet Dreadwing. He was the only one waiting for us but instead of attacking he had the Forge of Solus Prime. When Optimus asked what he wanted in return Dreadwing said that he wanted them to use it wisely.
It was then that we learned that Starscream had indeed traded the Omega keys to rejoin the cons and have his T-Cog replaced. Dreadwing than revealed that he no longer saw the Deception cause was one he no longer wanted to be part of. "Then I appeal to you again. Join us and help end this conflict once and for all."
"Betraying my kind is not the same as accepting yours." Dreadwing said and turned to leave.
"There's nothing left for you back at the warship but death Dreadwing." All of them turned and looked at me in surprise, having not realised that I had followed them there but I kept my eyes on the tall con commander. "You're going to try and avenge your twin's death by killing Starscream but before you can land the killing blow Megatron will end your life."
Dreadwing looked at me thoughtfully, one eye ridge raised, his optics landing on The Light of Primus. "You are the human that was chosen by Primus than. Did you see this?"
Nodding I said. "I did the other night but I wasn't sure why I was having a vision about a con I had only heard of but I see now that Primus does not want you to die. You do not have to join us but you don't have to return to the Decepticons either. Revenge will only lead you to rejoining your twin in the Allspark."
Dreadwing looked at me in surprise but there was more in his optics than that but I could not figure out what I was seeing there. He left soon after not saying another word but I found that I had the disapproving looks my guardian and 3 other bots turned on me. I simply shrugged and watched Optimus go and pick up the Forge. He barely had it in his servos before he asked me through the bond. 'Do you wish to-'
'No. I have a feeling that it would be for the best if I kept my distance from it for now.' I said cutting him off well Arcee called for a ground bridge back to base.

The next day at school the day dragged on, a feeling of dread growing to the point that by the end of the school day I was restless. The others noticed this well we waited for our guardians to pick us up and take us to base for the day but let me be. I could feel Optimus through our bond but he was blocking me for some reason, which made me think that he and the others maybe on a mission. When nearly an hour had passed Jack used his cell to call base and ask Ratchet what was going on. "Is something wrong? Because schools been out for almost an hour and no one's showed to pick us up." Jack said well he watched me fidget.
"What's he saying?" Miko finally asked being impatient.
"That the bots are busy."
"Then tell Ratchet to come get us. It's not like he has anything else to do!"Miko shouted loud enough for the older mech to hear through Jack's phone. I stepped over to Miko and grabbed her by the ear pulling her away from Jack.
She shrunk back when she saw my glare. "Miko if the bots are busy it is a good idea to leave Ratchet at base because they may need him to operate the ground bridge." she nodded well I let her ear go and we both turned back to Jack who told us Ratchet had hung up, saying we better just go home.
"Did Ratchet tell you what is going on?" Raf asked Jack.
"No. They seem to be keeping us in the dark a lot lately."
"Maybe not all of us." MIko said turning to me with a look. "So what do you know Bishop?"
"There's a lot of things that I know that you don't Miko." I told her with a smile while we started to walk. "For example did you know that the hashtag symbol is technically called an octothorpe." Both boys laughed at the unimpressed look she gave me.
As we walked my feeling of dread dissipate some but not entirely. We soon started talking about different things all the while nearing Raf's new house. We were nearly there when the Light grew hot in warning which made me stop and pay more attention to our surroundings. I easily spotted a couple of vehicons that were stopped at the corner across the road from us. "Guys we have company."
Hearing me and following my gaze they spotted the cons, just when 4 more showed up, effectively cutting us off from going forward. Looking around and thinking fast I grabbed Raf's arm and I bolted down a side street, trying to contact base. "Ratchet come in. We're surrounded by cons and need a ground bridge."
All I could hear was static through my com watch, which could only mean that our coms were being blocked and most likely cell phones too. Still running we ran down an alleyway right into a waiting Starscream and Soundwave. "Well now what do we have here? 4 little fleshlings that seem lost."
I glared up at him, well keeping the other 3 behind me. "Um Amber, those vehicons are now behind us. We're surrounded." Raf said holding my hand tight.
Starscream chuckled, seeming very pleased with himself. "Nowhere to run and no Autobots to protect you." He reached for us but I felt the Scythe moved right before it sent spikes at all of the cons that were around us. The cons all shouted in surprise as some of them were suddenly skewered, their lives coming to an end or they found themselves pinned to walls. "Wha- how is this possible? No human should be able to-"
Soundwave cut him off by using the Resonance Blaster, which made everyone but him cover their ears or auto receptors. The Scythe didn't really seem to like this as it retracted and returned to its bracelet form on my arm. Seeing this Starscream stepped forward and backhanded me hard, and I soon found the left side of my body hitting a wall. I both felt and heard bones brake, pain filling my entire body while I fell to the ground unable to do more than groan in pain. Soundwave turned his weapon off well Jack and the others ran over to me but the cons grabbed them and held them tightly in their servos. My body grew numb from the pain, my ears ringing from Soundwaves attack.
My eyesight grayed at the edges and I had to fight to keep my eyes open because blood began to fall into them, and I saw something odd. Soundwave wacked Starscream, sending his so called commander into a nearby wall before he stepped over to me and picked me up. I cried out in pain as bones shifted in ways they were not meant to but it was then that I noticed the Scythe on the move. I watched it in case my left arm leg, arm and I could felt it wrapping around my head. I felt my self-fading well the con's ground bridge appeared, taking me and the others with them. I tried to stay wake but it was a losing battle as everything faded as Soundwave placed me in a glass tube and sealed it.
End of Pov
With the Forge of Solus Prime now in their possession, Optimus was able to turn their ground bridge into a space bridge. Than before they let for Cybertron with all of the relics and weapons they had gathered of the past few months he remade the Star Saber. Locating Megatron and the Decepticons that were with him and the Omega keys was easy. Getting the keys back had been a bit of a challenge but they were able to with teamwork and the tools they had. Once they had retrieved the keys, they left the Decepticons in ruins behind them, Optimus led them to the Omega Lock.
The 4 keys resonated with the lock, activating it and they watched in awe at it formed up around them, a pool of Cybermatter forming above them. They were about to place the keys in their slots when Megatron arrived, alone and looking very pleased for some reason. "Autobots, I would suggest that you put a halt to your task and hand over those keys."
"And why would we do that?" Smokescreen asked.
In answer to his question a bridge appeared behind Megatron allowing Knockout, Starscream and Soundwave to walk out. In their hands they held 4 glass pods each holding one of their charges. "So that I may hand over the humans." Megatron said taking the container holding Amber from Soundwave. They could all see that out of the 4 of the children Amber was injured, her left arm and leg though supported by the Scythe of Amalgamous Prime they positioned in the wrong angles. Also there was so much blood not only across her face but from where bone had broken free from her skin.
"And if we refuse?" Optimus growled, angry that harm had come to his daughter.
"Then I will have no choice but to open the pods, exposing your pets to Cybertron's toxic atmosphere and then we can all watch them instantly parish." Megatron said holding up Amber's pod just out of Prime's reach. Optimus stared at her well trying to reach her through their bond but she did not responded and he could see that her breath was labored by how it quickly kept fogging up the glass of the pod.
None of the bots said or moved, they feared if they did then their human allies would pay the price. "Not how I wanted my first trip to Cybertron." MIko said trying to kick the sides of the pod.
"Starscream." Megatron said.
Starscream smiled well he taunted the human and Autobots, running his long sharp figures across the glass of Jack's pod. "Go ahead. The Autobots were prepared to sacrifice themselves for my planet, I'll do the same for theirs." Jack told him to which Miko readily agreed, as did Raf who looked nervous and a bit scared.
"It is unfortunate that we cannot hear your pet's thoughts on the matter Optimus but then again she does not look very good at all. But perhaps we should oblige them." Megatron said getting ready to open Amber's pod.
"If my decision dooms the future of the Autobot cause on Cybertron so be it. I will never forsake our human allies" Optimus said well he stuck the Star Saber point first into the rust covered ground. The rest of the Autobots, though reluctant followed their leader's example and surrendered their weapons. Than one at a time each Autobot traded an Omega Key for their human charges, the exception being Smokescreen who took charge of Amber for the time being.
Once the keys had exchanged hands another bridge opened and the Autobots were soon surrounded by a small army of cons. "Now bare witness as a new era dawns on Cybertron." Megatron said well he, Soundwave, Starscream and Knockout placed the keys in the Omega lock, fully activating it, the holocontrols appearing before Megatron. "Behold the age of the Decepticons!"
Amber's Pov
I found myself looking over the metal land scape of what I knew to be Cybertron of old. It was beautiful, the sun rising to cast a warm glow over the planet that was whole and full of life. "All good things come to an end, even things that are beautiful."
Turning I saw Solus standing not too far behind me but this time she was not alone.
There were 12 other mechs standing with her, each grand to look at and I could feel the power radiating off of them. Looking at them I knew all their names, who they were and what they meant to Cybertron's past. The ground under my feet began to shake and looking back at the landscape I saw the once gleaming and beautiful metal land turn to ruin and the life leave the planet. "Destruction is terrible but it can lead to rebirth. That is what you must do to stop darkness from taking root as it is not yet time for our home to be restored."
"What do you mean?" I asked them because I could not figure out who it was that had spoken to me.
Solus smiled well she and the other Primes of the past approached me and I realised that I was not in fact looking up at them. No we were at eye level or optic level I should say, it felt so weird to me and they each placed a servo on my back and shoulders. I felt power fill me and it was then that Primus spoke to me and I finally understood.
You must destroy before you can rebuild.
End of Pov
At the press of a button one of the nearby buildings was hit by a beam of energy and was easily restored, to everyone's awe. "You have what you want Megatron, This conflict is between Autobots and Decepticons. Allow me to return the humans to earth." Optimus demanded very much wanting to get Amber back to base and receive medical treatment, and get the other children to safety.
"Oh I wouldn't recommend it." Megatron said, the tone in his voice giving Prime and uneasy feeling. What all of them failed to notice was in Amber's pod both of the relics in her care had begun to glow, the glyphs a gold brilliants and blue energy spread throughout her body. Her bones shifted and began to return to their proper places, soft cries of pain leaving her going unnoticed by Smokescreen. "They'll be far safer here. Is the space bridge locked on target?"
Starscream confirmed before a bridge event appeared right over the Omega lock, and with a few adjustments Megatron sent a beam of energy through the bridge. "Why rule only one world when I can rule two."
"No." Optimus groaned in horror just as a burst of energy came out of Amber's pod.
All of them were thrown back, Smokescreen being the closets was sent flying into the lock itself but a servo made of energy caught him. Standing tall over all of them but still under the lock was Solus Prime herself in an energy form, the source of which was Amber who was standing in the remains of her broken pod. She put Smokescreen down and turned to look at the shocked face of Megatron. "You dare to use our father's source of life to kill innocents? I cannot allow this to happen." she said, an energy form of the Forge began to appear in her left servo.
Realising what she planned to do Megatron pulled the Dark saber off his back and charged at the human. However he was blocked by Optimus who held the Star Saber. "You will not harm her ever again." He growled before he pushed Megatron back, making him lose his balance and swiftly cut off the arm of Liege Maximo Prime that Knockout had attached to Megatron. With Megatron subdued, Optimus watched Solus raise the energy forge and brought it down hard onto the Omega Lock. The blow broke the lock into quarters and the whole lock began to break apart, the energy beam to earth stopped. Everyone scattered to safety but Optimus ran over to the fading energy form of Solus, the energy its self-returning to Amber and making a protective ball around her now curled up form.
Calling for a ground bridge Optimus carefully picked her up and ran through their space bridge to safety with the rest of his Autobots. Looking at the destruction around them Starscream and many of the other cons could hardly believe that a mere human could have been the source of such destruction. "I guess we should cancel the welcome home party." Knockout said earning a strike from Starscream.

Back at the Autobot base Ratchet was shocked to see the others returning with their human allies mostly in pods. "The children? What happened?" he demanded angry but than his spark jumped when he saw the energy sphere that held an out cold Amber. When no one answered him he once again demanded answers.
"I don't know what to make of it but Solus Prime used Amber to destroy the Omega Lock." Bulkhead said turning to look at the girl in her guardian's hands, wondering what truly had happened.
"What?! How is this possible Optimus?" Ratchet asked, all eyes/ optics falling on their worried leader.
With great reluctance Optimus said. "Amber is the reincarnation of Solus Prime."
They all stared at him in shock. "You knew didn't you? And not only did you keep such an important secret from all of us but you allowed her to destroy the device that was the only means to restore our home world. Optimus we needed that." Ratchet said disappointed and hurt.
"But how long have you and Amber known this?" Smokescreen asked confused.
"When facing Unicron, he informed me that there was another vessel of Primus's light on earth and I suspected from my observations that he may have been speaking of her. However I did not know she was the master artifactor reborn until she and I returned from the warship after we were bonded and my memories were restored. Amber herself learned this when energy from the Key to Vector Sigma entered her, replaying memories from Solus's life." Optimus explained looking down at his daughter sadly.
"If you two have been keeping this between yourselves all this time when were you planning to tell all of us?" Jack asked.
"When the time seemed right to do so." was Prime's answer.
"Be that as it may you still should not have let her-"
"You weren't there doc and it's not your place to second guess a battle field decision." Smokescreen said coming to Amber's aid.
"It most certainly is." Ratchet bellowed. "There had to be another way!"
"It wasn't that simple Ratchet." Jack said.
"Megatron was using the Omega Lock to attack the earth." Raf said.
"Amber or Solus, which ever one did it to save our planet." Miko said confuse not really sure.
"What about our planet?!" Ratchet bellowed at the three children. "All of our struggles, energon spilled, countless sacrifices… for nothing?!"
"Right decision or wrong what's done is done. But right now we have another problem on this world. The cons just changed the rules when they put Jack, Raf, Miko and Amber into play." Arcee said not happy at all about the situation.
Just then Fowler contacted the base saying that the bots all needed to see something outside. With great reluctance Optimus put the sphere holding Amber down, the energy sinking into the floor some but then soon stopped. "Ratchet watch the children and see if there is anything you can do to help Amber." Optimus ordered before he and the other Autobots went to the lift to head up to the top of the base.
Sighing Ratchet approached the sphere and began scanning it, seeing Jack, Miko and Raf approach it slowly. After his scan only gave him an immense energy reading he tried switching frequencies to only get the same results. "It almost seems like the energy is protecting her and blocking all of my scans."
"Ratchet maybe you can put a heart monitor on her or something?" Jack offered thinking over what he knew from bits of medical knowledge his mom had explained over the years.
"Perhaps but I do not know if it will allow me to even enter the energy to place electrodes on her to begin with." Ratchet said transforming and having his holoform get the human first aid kit. Well getting the kit his eyes landed on a case that had a note addressed to him and June.
'I recalled Ratchet complaining that the heart monitor was not very efficient so I have been tinkering and created this wireless one. I have not tested very much save on me or Casper. Hopefully it will do what it needs to if the time comes for it to be used- Amber'
Ratchet smiled well he picked up the case and brought it with him back to the main area, the base shaking around them. He pushed that to the back of his mind well he quickly read Amber's instructions to how to use the monitor. Once he was sure he had it figured out and turned on he tried to push through the energy shield to the girl. He was pushed back, receiving a shock and his holoform was dispelled but the monitor went right through to float in the energy.
"What the- what just happened?" Miko asked startled and taking a step back.
"It would seem that the energy does not want me to touch her." Ratchet said thoughtful, looking around the room for anything he could use to get the monitor on her when his eyes landed on Jack. He suddenly had an idea and stepped over to the honorary Prime. "I want you to try and see if it will let you near her."
"What? Why me?" Jack asked surprised.
"Optimus made you an honorary Prime, perhaps the energy will recognise that and let you in." The base shook again making all of them look at the ceiling in fear. "Quickly. Something tells me we don't have a lot of time."
Jack nodded and stepped forward, getting close to the energy sphere, his right hand shaking well it drew closer. When his hand made contact with the energy Jack's hand passed right through, and didn't shock him what so ever. So fully stepping into the sphere, Jack placed the monitor over Amber's chest, right over her heart, getting a good look at the huge and ragged gash on the left side of her face around her left eye. Stepping out again he looked at the screen where Ratchet had brought up the monitor's readings. "Her heart beat is irregular and slower than normal."
Before he could learn more the base shook harder around them well the others returned drawing all of their attention. "What is going on out there?"
"The Decepticons have invaded Jasper" Optimus informed them.
"Fowler seems to think he can hold them off." Bulkhead added worried.
A beep from the monitor drew everyone to stare at it and see that Amber's heart a slowed down some more. "I can't get through the energy sphere around Amber but Jack was able to put a wireless monitor that was designed by her on her chest. Even with not being able to touch her I doubt there could be much I could do for her injuries. Also she had lost too much blood, I fear we are going to lose her."
Optimus felt his spark go cold hearing this but Fowler's voice suddenly came through the com channel. (("Prime reinforcements just arrived."))
"Agent Fowler your military can not prevail against-"
(('You didn't think I was going to let Team Prime have all the fun did ya?")) Wheeljack cut in to the conversation and making a few of them happy but it was short lived. Optimus announced that they would be abandoning base in groups of two. "The base is lost. Wheeljack and Agent Fowler can only buy us time to escape. Bumblebee, you and Raphael will depart first."
"You're splitting us up?" Raf asked in shock.
"Shouldn't we stick together?" Jack asked.
"All for one and one for all." Miko of all people quoting the musketeers seemed silly but fitting at the same time.
"We must disperse to avoid capture until we can regroup and launch a counter attack. Survival is our only priority now." Optimus said well Ratchet started to ground bridge all of them out of the base. After Smokescreen had left the two turned and looked at Amber. "I can't even touch her Optimus." Ratchet said looking at the monitor once again seeing her heart rate falter.
"I know old friend." Optimus said looking at her sadly once again.
"What about you?"
"I will insure that the Decepticons cannot follow." Ratchet knew what he meant by that and it hurt his spark. With great reluctance Ratchet went to the bridge well Optimus set the co-ordinates. "I- never imagined it would end like this."
Watching Ratchet leave through the bridge, for what he believed would be the last time Optimus said. "Neither did I old friend." When the Bridge closed behind Ratchet, Optimus turned to Amber and ever so carefully he picked her up. Opening his chest he placed her in the sparkling holding compartment of his spark chamber, surprised that the energy grew smaller to accommodate. Once she was secured he turned to the bridge controls, pulling the Star Saber off his back.
Raising it high over his head a single thought passed through his mind. 'I am sorry I could not keep you safe daughter. At least we can leave this world together.' Optimus brought the saber down, destroying the controls, just when the Nemesis's main weapon fired on the base destroying it. The last thing Optimus saw before he fell into stasis was an energy bubble surrounding him.
