At the moment, Marceline and Bubblegum were out to help build a new house as a surprise for Finn who seeks to live in his own turf lately. So they had to leave Gregory in reliable and kid friendly hands.
BMO imitated sounds of farts and strange noises.
It helped when Finn was little.
BMO regularly moves around with the tree house gone for months now, sometimes going to Banana Man for some testing. Neptr mostly spends time rapping with Flame Princess. Shelby, Kent still live in tree left in house's place although with a bit of reshuffling.
So BMO could give some time to the newest resident of OOO, and potentially his newest friend.
Gregory also made noises either spitting from his mouth, playing his tongue or pouting and clapping his cheeks.
BMO - *giggles* Heheh come on now, don't drown me in your speed of fun!
BMO had much experience in this category , almost as much as Jake does. So handling Gregory wasn't too tough, it also helps that Gregory took a liking to BMO. And BMO wasn't alone there, there were two promising upstarts.
Cadebra – Aww isn't he just adorable? Although that eww a bit gross.
Pepbut (Pepper) – Why would princess Bubblegum have us here? I'm gonna need to re-learn everything before serving here again... and you... don't exactly apply even if you learn all of it.
Cadebra – What's that supposed to mean? Don't be a bummer roomie. I'll make a good babysitter! Besides always wanted to be a big sis in the place! It's gonna be great!
Pepper – Cadebra, I've been a big brother for entire kingdom sometimes even to princess. I've had plenty of that.
Cadebra - *chuckles* All better for you here on this job! It's just now you look after actual kid... heh my first human by the way. You know what, we should take turns, I take this one!
Pepper - *sigh* yes please, I'll be off elsewhere.
Since he's here, he might as well use the chance to conversation with familiar powerful entity. He definitely has lots to refill.
He just hopes Cadebra won't cause another ruckus with her tricks.
She definitely read that on his face so she answered with a smile "No promises pal!"
Cadebra then went off to join Gregory in his antics.
She covered her face with her hands in front of Gregory before revealing herself.
"Surprise! Here is Cadebra!!"
She then proceeds to poke and tickle him
"Wawawawa!"
He laughed adorably after which Cadebra reveals what's in her mouth.
Cadebra – Oooh! See? I have a baseball here! Wanna play?~
Gregory simply took the ball and started biting into it before throwing it away.
BMO – Gregory it's not nice to mess something and then throw it away.
The kid didn't listen, instead he began pushing buttons on BMO's chest.
The nearby Banana Guards were watching the whole thing funnily.
Cadebra – Well still cute, okay then how about this?
She put on some rollers before she took him up on her shoulders.
"C'mere you little busy head, let's fly around! Yaahoo!"
She began to roll out and around in excitement. Gregory began sparkling again...
BMO - *giggles* careful now the planes can blitz through a window.
And about that, Cadebra couldn't stop rolling and then collided with Banana Guards with Gregory falling off.
BMO was quick enough to catch the flying baby, getting some charges in his systems too.
BMO – Wha#@£ happe*#@% he%£#!?
Cadebra picked herself up as much as she could before slipping due to rollers.
Banana Guards helped her up before laughing up at something.
Cadebra – Ou ha ha. Laugh while ya can, it won't happen again.
"No its nor that, it's your hair!"
"My hai-!?"
Cadebra looked up only to see something of a dark blue ball on her head.
Cadebra – WOW! WOW! I got a bush myself on my top temple now!
Cadebra poked into her new afro, checking out it's insides only to feel some static within.
Cadebra – Ouch! Where did-
She then looks at BMO glitching with Gregory in his arms.
She then puts Gregory down so BMO could restore himself.
Cadebra – So that's where it came from! Didn't know humans could be electric!
Banana Guards smirk at her
"Actially this happens quite often when prince is here, anytime he's happy or sad or hungry too"
Cadebra remembered Princess Bubblegum telling them something like that, but she didn't listen much... so perhaps she missed some details.
Cadebra – Hmm okay then any ideas of a game that doesn't involve touching?
BMO – No touchies? ...
Banana Guards offered some ideas too
"I still have that video game back at my place, should we do it?"
"What is it about?"
"You don't remember, one doing Yoga?"
BMO took our his mini mirror to chat with old friend.
"Hey football, how do you think a year old humans love video games?"
Football – I don't think kids his age understand video games yet. They usually over running in circles, drawing pictures or play hide seek.
BMO – Hide seek? Now that's a good one!
Guards looking at BMO are like "Aww BMO has imaginary friend, bummer we don't see him"
The way her brother told Cadebra, lil robot was like a mature teacher with pure child-like imagination.
Cadebra – So? Hide seek we go huh?
BMO placed mirror so she could see Football
"Yes. I was about to say that"
And they went from word to action.
BMO was first to go, Cadebra was the second, Banana Guards the third???
There was just one problem, Gregory was quite careless and after walking around for a bit, wandered off somewhere. He was looking for either his mom's or aunt lolly, but as he failed yo find them he was becoming a bit sad.
That is until he came by Peppermint doing some wiz biz...
With a strange face drawn on floor and ingredients gathered in place, he was chanting "Maloso vobiscum et cum spiri-AAAM!"
'Sweet! Sweets!' Gregory's dole thought as he was biting down on Pepper, who abruptly dropped the book as the spell gone haywire!!!
Multiple energy charges sparked outta there, eventually opening up a portal in mid room.
BMO and guards came in following Peppermint's screams as he tries to get Gregory off.
BMO – Hey! No cannibalism here Gregory! Officers, restrain him ASAP!
Banana Guards – On it Sheriff!
Before they could do so the sparks hit out of portal scaring them away.
Then Cadebra came in "Hey where did you all go? I've been waiting my ass-WOW! This is crazy!
A storm of fire kept swirling violently before unknown creatures started popping out from there, chanting "FREEDOM! FREEDOM! FREEDOM!"
Pepper yells in worry "OH NO NO NO NO! CLOSE CLOSE!"
He then reaches for the spell book but as they swarmed the place he got lost in the growing crowd.
They were outnumbered and so they had to escort outta there.
And when they got outside the demons followed suit and made their way outside the area, leaving it in shambles.
Cadebra – Uh how bad is this?!
Pepper – If it won't close eventually, thousands of demons will invade here!
Cadebra – Just great job B-man!
Pepper – Me?! This wouldn't have happened if you looked after candy cannibal here!
He glares at Gregory as they run down the ladder with demons breathing on their backs.
Cadebra – Wait!? Where's BMO?!
As more demons escape outside, BMO sits in the corner... his facial screen cracked, again...
They may look ridiculous but apparently the creatures were pretty violent.
BMO – HUH! What a bunch of meanies.
A four armed demon with swords flew out and landed near BMO.
BMO – Hey go back in! You are not invited here!
"Me? I would have but I'm here to find out why is a portal open in middle of the prison cages! Boss Abadeer may kill me if this stays like that!"
BMO – Well then call that boss of yours! Wait boss Abadeer? I know Marceline Abadeer!
"AH you are friends with princess?"
BMO – Yes although she prefers to be queen... You! Take me to your boss, I'll talk to him like an adult to adult!
"Mmh whatever as long as I don't get eaten"
Flooding the streets like a disorganised mob, the demons were trying to hide, escape and even loot.
They would snatch citizens and eat up houses... there goes the renovations.
Many civilians flee in panic amid chaos
Screaming "Gah run! Princess made another flop experiment!"
Pepper – We are so dead when Princess sees all this!
Cadebra – Well then let's focus on cutting the entrance! That hole is still open?
Pepper – We have to go back and get the book! The appropriate congregation will stop the influx of masses from Nightosphere !
Cadebra – Nightosphere? THE Nightosphere?! Why would anyone want to go there!?
Gumball guardians got involved to quell the riots, but it was harder than they thought given civilians were in close proximity.
Pepper – We don't have time for that! We have to- wha?!
All the sounds were scaring Gregory very much as he began screaming and static grew around him.
Cadebra – Oh No!!
He started glowing up, he was about to explode!
She gasps as she then throws him at the demon hordes running amok on the streets.
And boy did he blow up massively!
He left nothing but a crater in the ground.
They had to hurry up before the kingdom is levelled, again.
Banana Guards , Police, Fire Fighters, Army were obliged to confront the rampant law breakers and terrorists.
They are no longer just a dumb army of James's.
Some of them weren't sure if they could handle violent hordes like these and were sweating chocolaty milk.
Still they had to do this as parts of the kingdom were in flames already.
"Cavalry go go go! Try not lose your peels!"
Cavalry consisting of Banana guards riding pink, arm-less, legged, candies wearing high heels went on the streets against the internal revolt.
Banana Guards 500 were the first to strike as they start shooting at demons who looked at Bananas... and felt absolutely bad in the stomach.
"AW SICK!"
They hated the sight of banana guards literally for some reason.
"THAT TARD SHITT IS ALIVE HERE AND IT'S MOVING!"
The demons did all they could to avoid them but they were many too.
"GET AWAY GET AWAY!"
This confused the guards definitely but that made it all easier.
The civilians used the time to arm up and fight back like they did before (Examples being, the slumber party that goes way back) using guns and sticks.
They manage to survive but they keep coming from the castle for some reason
The trio made their way inside the temple, trying to reach Peppermint's ritual chamber.
Pepper – Hide!
Another bunch of demons rushed their way out, luckily not seeing them.
Cadebra – Hah! Knew you'd still play that game either way!
Pepper rolls eyes annoyed "Better look after prince so he won't get us caught or even killed"
Gregory was simply playing with his tongue.
Then there's someone approaching them as they hide again, only for it to be Bubblegum's aunt Lolly.
Pepper – Oh hi ms Lolly! It's good to see you!
Lolly – It's good too but what happened? What's all that noise here and there? Neddy nearly got scared.
Cadebra – We uh opened a portal to a demon filled dimension heheh my bad...
Lolly sighs "Come here you"
Cadebra passed Gregory to Lolly as she sings him a lullaby, Neddy's favourite one.
It made Gregory all sleepy as he yawned and closed his eyes.
Lolly – You should leave now. I'll handle this little troublemaker.
Pepper – Thank you! On my way!
Cadebra – Hey on OUR way there! Don't leave me out!
Reaching the chamber, they couldn't find BMO but it appears the influx stopped and portal closed.
Pepper felt relieved but Cadebra felt worried.
Cadebra – Wait what if they took BMO there?! We can't leave them there!
Pepper wanted to retort but now that he thinks about it... maybe, he simply should finish what he started.
Pepper inhales "Take a step away Debra, I've got a plan"
Cadebra didn't get it but she did as he asked.
If anyone can call the demons to stop and release BMO from their clutches, it's their demon lord himself.
Standing in front of the happy Phil face, he chants.
"Maloso vobiscum et cum spiritum!"
Facerift emerged from the ground as Cadebra bares witness to horrific appearance of Hunson Abadeer, from his insides to his outer looks.
To say it was freaky was an understatement.
"Peppermint butler? Do you want something, I have some things to do ya' know?"
Pepper – Lord Abadeer Sir! My spell gone wrong because of your grandson so hordes of your minions came in here and ravaged the Candy Kingdom!
Cadebra – And they kidnapped friend BMO with them!
After blinking once or twice, Hunson Abadeer looks around the messy chamber.
Hunson – Huh so I see. So I really have a grandson?! Where is he? How powerful is he?
Cadebra – Can you first help us please?!
Hunson looks at her with his sharp eyes
Hunson – Relax kiddo. Your friend BMO is back at my place and we were talking when you summoned me.
He yelled at his portal "Come over here little robot wizard! Your friends worry for you"
BMO comes out
BMO – Phew it is REAL hot there.
Cadebra hugs BMO "We'll have all time to cool down later"
Pepper – Can you order your minions to halt?
Hunson – Sure I'm on it!
Hunson flew all the way outside.
Looking over the kingdom, he was curious as to what his daughter in law's empire looked like.
All noisy and in flames like his one, except it was small scale and even that was due the flame breath from his minions rioting..
But he'll make a tour later if possible.
His appearance becomes more monstrous letting out the distorted screams for all to hear.
The fighting has paused as everybody looked up at the monster in the skies.
Candy people looked scared while the demons looked confused.
"Boss? You are here!?"
"The boss is here! Run!"
"Lord heed our request please!"
Some of them ran away, this time through the kingdoms entrance though many of them got eaten by him.
While some who stayed... he either took their souls or ate them too.
Hunson – Sorry guys, my daughter in law will kill me if I won't punish you. And my daughter... she'll definitely ticks off if I won't.
"Ouh you f*king bet on that dad"
Hunson sweat up a bit as he sees Marceline and Bubblegum with their friends Finn and Jake ready to beat him up if anything.
Hunson – Oh hi Marceline! So you see it's not really my fault here! Everybody knows that right?
Looking at her wife, Bonnie looked less than pleased.
Considering how no one said anything, Bubblegum didn't exactly believe him. All Bonnie knew was that her kingdom got invaded, her citizens wounded, and bodies of demons on streets. And her dad was involved.
If anything Marcy pitied her dad a bit here...
Cadebra – That's right!
Cadebra, Peppermint and Lolly came out with Gregory.
Lolly – Worry not Bonnie. He didn't start it...
Pepper – Mr Prince G did over here.
He points at Gregory in Lolly's arms, who yawned as electricity ran across him which was apparent by tiny sparks above her head.
Hunson then walked up to look at the boy as he took him up.
Hunson – So this is prince? Hmm so my daughter is vampire, daughter in law is of sugar and my grandson is of flesh and blood? Huh I wonder who will be next.
He sure felt a bit proud of him at such a young age, he's eager to see if he's gonna ever surpass his gramps in power given all the mayhem he caused.
Marceline – Oh boy, dad seriously don't spoil him more than he may already grow up to be.
Bubblegum – That boy is so grounded when he wakes up. No matter his sparkles.
Finn – So you didn't do anything questionable right?
Hunson – Of course no sins this time around.
Jake – Well then we're clear. BMO?! Aww dude, your face again??
BMO – Still as ecstatic as ever!
Hunson – Yes what robot wizard said! Let's have a dinner together!
And that they did as Bubblegum thanked her royal guards for protecting the kingdom in her absence. Her step father as well.
Bubblegum – Looks like Marcy was only half right, you are okay sometimes.
Hunson – You are welcome. By the way is that Simon guy still around? I didn't see him for years and I'm sure his singing still sounds worse than Arabic screams of his thousand minions.
Marceline kicks him in the shoulder "Half right still, be nice to Simon remember"
Hunson – No promises lil demon~
As they left for dinner, Gregory was having a strange and disturbing dream.
'Hey Gregory get off that rocket!
Looks like fate cant be cheated huh
It's not your fault Gregory
Hoo-hoo hooooo hoo-hoo!'
And it ended with a weird yellow coloured Owl...
Gregory couldn't understand what it all meant, but one day something really terrible can happen...
And eventually we'll see what will happen. But for now, we need to forge some path ahead for that event. I finally managed the chapter after so much prolonging.
Like Finn, Gregory has a lot of potential as do all of us. A young plant grows into giant tree.
