"Ok! Alice and Eugene, you're needed on set!" The assistant director called through a microphone.
Shane and Emily rushed to the set, ready to be told what to do.
"This is a Winters and Nixon scene, so you will be in the background. We want heavy implications that you are a couple. We don't have any ideas of how much PDA Doc and Alice did, we will let you decide but don't distract too much, got it?" The director explained.
Emily nodded with a smirk. "Sooo... light flirting but make it obvious?"
"Something like that." The director agreed. "You will be standing over there by that tree and those boxes."
"Got it." Both Emily and Shane said, walking over to their mark.
"How comfortable are you with this?" Shane asked.
"Surprisingly... extremely." Emily snickered. "From what I heard from Uncle Bill Gaurnere, the two barely could keep their hands off each other as soon as they were an item."
"So they wouldn't be only flirting?" Shane smirked with a quirked brow.
Emily bit her lip and shook her head. "Feel free to kiss me."
"Gladly." Shane laughed. "Let's try the light flirting first, they like to do more than one take."
Emily winked. "Gotcha."
"Quiet on the set!" The director shouted.
Emily and Shane stiftled their laughs.
"Lean against the tree." Shane whispered subtly.
Emily complied.
Shane leaned over her and began lightly moving her hair away from her face.
"Action!"
Shane and Emily mock flirted while listening to the lines said by Damien and Ron.
"CUT! Alright! Looked fine, but we're going to reset and do another!"
"If we're doing another after this, I just might kiss you." Shane warned with a smirk.
"Fine by me." Emily grinned.
"Which would be more real, do y'think? Chaste or proper snog?" Shane asked quietly, he was still leaning over her, hand propped on the tree.
Emily felt her face go red. "Does snog mean make-out?"
Shane nodded.
"Then snog; remember the candid photos?" She asked.
Shane looked thoughtful for a moment and then his eyes lit up. "So we're re-creating?" He winked.
Emily couldn't tell if Shane was really flirting now or if he was just really in character. Either way, it was helping her get into the moment and her character as well.
"Quiet on set!"
All she could do in this moment was nod and smile.
"Action!"
Shane lightly played with Emily's blazer lapels, fiddling with her brooch. With his other hand he tucked her hair behind an ear, fingers lightly brushing her face. She responded by playing with his hair and "fixing his tie."
They were both smiling endearingly at one another.
"CUT! That's great! One more for good measure! Reset!"
"Looks like we will be recreating those photos." Emily whispered with a raised brow and mischievous smirk.
"Looks like it." Shane grinned. "I'll start slow."
"Good idea." Emily complimented.
"Will I be getting lipstick smeared on my face?" Shane asked, his eyes looked dark.
Emily grimaced. "'Fraid so. Sorry."
"Eh, 'tis the sacrifice I'll make in the name of art and realism." He joked, dramatically placing hand to his chest.
"Oh, how very brave of you." She joined in sarcastically.
"Quiet on the set!"
They side glanced at Damien and Ron who were getting touched up.
The director sat in his chair, grabbing his mic.
"Here goes." They both thought
"Hi-ho silver." Shane mouthed mischievously.
"Action!"
Shane moved slowly, as he promised.
He softly cupped Emily's face. Adrenaline pumped through her, feeling the excitement of this being her first day.
Her first ever 'kiss scene.'
Emily straightened to stand taller. Their eyes locked for a second, silently communicating.
Shane seemed to be waiting for something.
Not two seconds later Simon Pegg's Sergeant Evans arrived in the scene to say his line.
That was Shane's cue.
He pulled her to him and lightly touched his lips to hers. Emily reacted as she believed Alice would.
Naturally.
She slid her hands up his arms and slipped her fingers into his hair, causing a small, quick gasp, with which she deepened the kiss.
With her hands in his hair and his hands trailing up her back, holding her close; they were, indeed, snogging.
"C-cut! Cut!"
The two broke apart just in time to hear roaring laughter from the cast and crew.
A make-up person handed Shane and Emily make-up wipes.
Emily looked at Shane who's face was tulip red and giggled.
The director walked over to them.
"We didn't ruin the scene, did we?" Emily asked nervously.
The director laughed. "No, actually, I think you made it. Was that how they really were."
"Yes." Emily and Shane said before snickering.
Shane and Emily sat in their chairs, waiting for Emily to be called up for the slap and argument scene between Alice and Bill at the result of Alice learning about the mutiny against Sobel.
"Was it just me, or did I see and hear some real flirting back there?" Emily asked quietly.
Shane flushed and grinned. "How about we meet for a coffee later and we can talk about it then?"
Emily bit her lip with a small smile. "Sure. But I am taking that as a yes."
Shane took a drink from his water bottle, keeping eye contact, looking smug.
