2. Chapter 2

Hello everyone, today will have the first Pokemon entries for the story and if we read my second to last Vesperia chapter, then you know they'll be like this.

Text/The fire on the tip of its tail is a measure of its life. If the Pokemon is healthy, its tail burns intensely.

I did this because I always try to have different ways to write different Pokedex entries in my stories, and I thought why not for this. Now before we start, I would again add that I will change things, and remove things I don't is important for this story, you probably guess that after I skipped Luke training in the last chapter. Now let's start Chapter 2.

Chapter 2

Ride Off Into The Beast Forest

We left off with Luke and Tear crashing into Diaz and Miles. But that was a couple hours ago. After crashing into them, Diaz noticed that they were out, and after taking care of them and making sure they were okay, Diaz and Miles left to go get water.

"Wake up, Luke!" Tear said to Luke, waking Luke up. "Who are you?" Luke asked Tear. "Oh, good, you're okay." Tear said to Luke. "Where are we?" Luke asked Tear, looking around. "I don't know. That was pretty strong. I almost thought we'd been caught in the Planet Strom. But someone was here." Tear said to Luke, as she looked at the violet and scarlet cases. "What are those?" Luke asked Tear, noticing the cases.

"No idea, they were there when I woke up. We must have been out for a while after getting blasted out of the manor." Tear said to Luke. "Wait, that's right! You were trying to…! Oww!" Luke said, before some pain got to him.

"Stop, don't try to move so suddenly. Are you injured? Where does it hurt?" Tear asked Luke. Luke just forced her off, got up, and ran away from her. "I-I'm fine. What I want to know now is what the hell happened. And who are you?" Luke asked Tear. "And now that you're both awake you can answer that question for me as well." A male voice said to them.

That's when Luke and Tear noticed Diaz and Miles standing nearby, with a bucket of water, but what stunned them was Miles. "What is that thing!" Luke said, reaching for his sword, and realized it wasn't in its sheath. "If you're looking for your weapons. I took them." Diaz said to Luke.

"Why?" Luke asked Diaz. "Because, while I had no trouble helping you two. But I wasn't going to blindly trust you with weapons without knowing anything about you." Diaz said to Luke. "He makes a good point." Tear said to Luke. "Not helping." Luke said to Tear. "Just give me back my sword. Now." Luke said to Diaz.

Diaz said nothing and threw the bucket of water at Luke. "Are you cold off now?" Diaz asked Luke. "Why you! Do you know who…" Luke said to Diaz, but was interrupted by Diaz throwing the bucket into his face. "I guess you need a slap to the face insead." Diaz said to Luke, as Luke rubbed his head.

"I'm Tear. That's Luke. and you?" Tear asked Diaz. "I'm Diaz and this is my Pokemon partner Miles the Cyclizar." Diaz said to Tear. "What's a Pokemon?" Luke asked Diaz. "You've never heard of Pokemon?" Diaz asked Luke. "No, I never even heard that word before." Luke said to Diaz. "Nor I." Tear said to Diaz.

"You never heard of Pokemon. They're creatures that cover the world. In the forest, the mountain, all forms of water, the sky, and even in the town and cities we live in. these so many of them, to meet them all would be like counting all the sand on your favorite beach."

"And Miles… is one of them?" Tear asked Diaz, wording if she was getting Miles' name right. "Here." Diaz said, pulling out a Rotom Phone that had a Swablu Sky Case on it. On the screen was a picture of Ckyclizar and its info. This made Luke and Tear walk up to Daiz and Miles.

Text/Apparently Cyclizar has been allowing people to ride on its back since ancient times. Depictions of this have been found in 10,000-year-old murals.

"Fascinating, I've never seen anything like it." Tear said to Diaz. "Realy?" It's pretty common from where I'm from." Diaz said to Tear. "But, why does it look different in the picture?" Luke asked Diaz, as Diaz put his Rotom Phone away. "Because my bud is a Shiny Cyclizar. He may be one of the few Shiny Pokemon you see in your life." Diaz said to Luke, scratching Miles' head.

"But why do you call him Miles and not Cyclizar if that is his name?" Tear asked Diaz. "Because Cyclizar is his kind name. And giving him a name means he's one of a kind." Diaz said to Tear. "Interesting." Tear said to Diaz.

"Anyway, how did you two end up here?" Diaz asked Luke and Tear. "It would seem that a hyperresonance occurred between me and Luke." Tear said to Diaz. "A hyperresonance? What's that?" Luke asked Tear. "Yeah, care to explain?" Diaz asked Tear.

"An isofon-induced resonance. I didn't expect Luke to be a Seventh Fonist. That was careless of me. That would explain why the royal family is protecting you." Tear said to everyone. "I understood none of that." Diaz said to everyone. "Gah, shut up for a second!" Luke said to everyone. (Man he's rude.) Miles said to Diaz. "He sure is." Diaz said to Miles.

"Did that thing just insult me?" Luke asked Diaz. "Maybe? I can't speak Pokemon. But I've known Miles long enough to, kinda, know what he's saying." Diaz said to Luke. "Look, I just don't understand a thing Tear said." Luke said to everyone. "Nor I." Diaz said to everyone, as they all looked at Tear.

"Well say something!" Luke said to Tear. "First you tell me to shut up, now you're telling me to talk. Let's save the discussion for later. You don't seem to know anything. Talking here would be a waste of time." Tear said to Luke, turning away from Luke. (Well she's mad.) Miles said to Tear. Diaz motioned a "be quiet" gesture to Miles.

"So what are we gonna do now?" Luke asked everyone. "I'll escort you back to your manor in Baticul." Tear said to Luke. "If that's the case. I'll join you. Going to a city will help me find my bearings." Diaz said to everyone. "How?! We don't even know where we are!" Luke said to everyone.

"You see the sea just over there, don't you?" Tear asked Luke, pointing to a nearby body of water. "So that's what the sea looks like…" Luke said to everyone. "Well don't plan to jump in. That way leads to a cliff." Diaz said to Luke. "No, I wasn't thinking about going for a swim. I was just surprised to see it." Luke said to Diaz.

"At any rate, let's head out of this ravine and down to the coast. If we can find a road, there should be carriages passing along. We should be able to find a way back." Tear said to everyone. "And just how are we supposed to get to the sea from here?" Luke asked Tear. "Stop and listen. Hear that water flowing? There's a river. If we follow the river, we should come out to the sea." Tear said to Luke.

"She's right. After all, water naturally flows down." Diaz said to Luke. "Huh. Is that how it works?" Luke asked everyone. "You're kidding right? This is basic knowledge. How do you not know this?" Diaz asked Luke. "Forget it. Let's go." Tear said to everyone, as she started to move. The guy shrugged their shoulders and followed Tear, after Diaz went back and picked up his stuff, including the scarlet and violet cases, and stuffing all it in his backpack.

Tear then heard some rustling in the bushes. "Monsters." Tear said to everyone. "Monsters?! Diaz, give us our weapons!" Luke said to Diaz. but before Diaz could answer Luke, Tear interrupted them. "Here they come!" Tear said to everyone. "You've got to be kidding me!" Luke said, as a pig monster came out of the bushes.

"Aaah! Diaz weapons! Now!" Luke said to Diaz, as the pig monster looked at them. "Miles, care to use Dragon Rush on it?" Diaz asked Miles. (Right!) Miles said, as his body became encased in purple energy, with wings and a dragon head formed the energy around his head and the back of front legs.

Miles then lunged at the pig monster, slamming into the pig monster, causing a massive dust cloud to appear. When the dust cleared, Miles was on top of the pig monster, and the pig monster was on the ground, on its side, and the pig monster squealed in fear. (LEAVE! NOW!) Miles said to the pig monster, growling at the pig monster, as he got off the pig monster. The pig monster ran away, squealing in fear as it did.

"Impressive. But why did he spare that monster?" Tear asked Diaz. "We don't like taking futures. We're vegetarian's, we avoid fights, and we use fighting as a last resort." Diaz said to Tear. "But that monster might take someone else's life? You should have killed it." Tear said to Diaz. "It's easy to kill. But to spear a life, to show mercy to your enemy, that takes real power. That's one of the many things my father taught me."

"Still you should have killed it." Tear said to Diaz. "Well, tell you what. I'll cut you a deal. I won't stop you from killing, but don't ask me to kill anything." Diaz said to Tear. "But you took our weapons." Tear said to Diaz. "I know. So that means, we do things my way by default." Diaz said to Tear.

"Man you two are annoying." Luke said, as he sat down. "Don't relax just yet. Look. There's more." Tear said to Luke, as they saw more monsters. "If you come into contact with monsters like that, you'll have to fight them. Be careful." Tear said to everyone. "Relax, Miles can take care of any monsters." Diaz said, scratching Mile's chin. "We wouldn't have to, if you gave us our weapons back." Tear said to Daiz.

"Humph. Think you know everything, don't you?" Luke asked Tear. "Come on, let's move. Best if we get out of the monster's territory. They'll have no interest in us once we're out of their land." Diaz said to everyone, as they started to walk.

After walking for a bit, they heard more rustling in the bushes ahead of them. "Be careful. There's more than one of them this time." Tear said to everyone. "Now way! Diaz, give us our weapons!" Luke said to Diaz, as small around monsters with two massive leaves on their heads came out of the bushies.

"Or Miles can use Giga Impact." Diaz said to Luke. (On it.) Miles said, letting out a massive amount of white energy. Diaz then jumped up and landed right in front of the monsters, making the ground crack, and kicking up dust. Miles then roared at the monster. Scared, the monsters ran away.

"Once again impressive." Tear said to Diaz. Now that they're gone. Let's get out of here." Luke said to everyone. "Give Diaz a few seconds. Giga Impact uses all of his energy. He needs a few seconds before he can move again." Diaz said Luke. "I guess an attack like that would have some kind of drawback." Tear said to everyone.

"Why would you even want an attack like that?" Luke asked Diaz. "Because it's powerful. Pulse he only has two attacks, might as well make them strong." Diaz. "What do you mean two attacks?" Tear asked Diaz.

"Pokemon can only know four moves at a time. Some moves are attacks, and some moves are defensive. For Miles Giga Impact and Dragon Rush are his attack moves. But he also has Protect, a move that forms an unbreakable bubble around himself. And Shed Tail, he can make a dummy to take hits as he falls back. Both are defense moves." Diaz said to Tear.

"Can you talk about this later." Luke said to Tear and Diaz, as he started to move. "Should he really be walking ahead of us?" Diaz asked Tear. "With you still holding our weapons. No." Tear said to Diaz, as they went after Luke.

After a bit, they reached the end of the path, with Luke, tired. "There's the way out!" Tear said to everyone. "It's about time. I'm sick of this place." Luke said to everyone. "It was just a walk down a hill. You're a really rude guy." Diaz said to Luke. but before Luke could respond to that, Tear interrupted him. "Someone's coming." Tear said to everyone. Worried about how they would reach, Diaz returned Miles to his Pokeball.

That's when they noticed a man walking up to them and noticed them. "Uah! D-don't tell me you're with the Dark Wings!" The man asked everyone. "The Dark Wings?" Tear asked the man. "They're bandits. Two men and a woman… Wait, do you not know what I'm talking about?" The man asked everyone.

"Humph. Don't go comparing me to some pathetic bandit." Luke said to the man, earning him a smack on the back of the head from Diaz. "Don't be rude." Diaz said to Luke. "Yes, you might upset the bandits." Tear said to Luke. "Hey!" Luke said to Tear. "Sorry about him. but, we're just so lost travelers." Diaz said to the man.

"We lost our way and wound up here. Who are you?" Tear asked the man. "I'm a coachman. One of the wheels on my coach started acting up. We lost our drinking water when the jug fell off, so I came here to draw some more." The man said to Tear. "A coach! Perfect!" Luke said to everyone. "Do you go to the capital?" Tear asked the man.

"Yeah, that's my last stop." The man said to Tear. "Let's hitch a ride! I'm sick of walking." Luke said to everyone. "Well a ride would probably be safer." Diaz said to everyone. "Yes, we don't know this area very well. Would that be all right with you?" Tear asked the man.

"To the capital, it'll be 12,000 Gald a piece. You got enough on you?" the man asked everyone. "That's expensive…" Tear said. "That's highway robbery." Diaz said. "Really? Sounds cheap to me. My dad'll take care of it when we get to the capital." Luke said to everyone. "You're a spoiled rich kid. That explains a lot." Diaz said to Luke.

"That's no good. I need payment in advance." The man said to Luke. "Fine." Diaz said, digging in his bag. Diaz pulled out a big pearl. "Will this cover it?" Diaz asked the man. "Wow! But that pearl isn't enough." The man said to Diaz. "Once we get to the capital, I'll give you another one." Diaz said to the man. "In that case, hop aboard." The man said to everyone, walking to his coach.

"Huh… You got some nice stuff. Now I don't have to get my shoes all dirty." Luke said to Diaz. Diaz and Tear gave Luke a flat look. "Man, you are a spoiled kid." Diaz said to Luke, as they moved to the coach.

Once in the coach, it started to move. But after crossing a long bridge, they heard cannon fire. "Wh-what was that?" Luke asked. "I have to say it's that massive ship that's moving on land!" Diaz said to Luke, as he and Diaz looked out the window.

That's when they noticed a massive white ship, with fancy decoration on it, a few leaves of cannons, a few triangle sails, and a second smaller ship attached to the larger one. The ship was firing cannon fire at a black coach.

"H-hey! That coach is under attack!" Luke said to everyone. "The army's chasing those bandits! It's those Dark Wings I mistook you for!" The man said to Luke. "You there! Move your coach before you get caught in the crossfire! A male voice said to the man, over the ship's speaker. This made the coachman turn, almost making Luke fall out of the coach. The ship then went past everyone.

On the ship. Soldiers were operation controls, with a white man that was wearing a financier uniform, with glass over his red eyes, and long blonde hair, commanding everyone.

"Commander! Enemy has crossed Rotelro Bridge! They're putting gunpowder on the bridge!" A soldier said to the man. "My, my. They intend to drop the bridge, do they?" The man asked. "Fon slot activation detected!" A soldier said to the man. "The enemy set off fonic artes using the Fight Fonon! The bridge is going to explode!" A second soldier said.

"Tartarus, full stop. Activate fonic barrier." The man said to his soldiers. "Yes, sir! Tartarus, full stop!" A soldier said. "Fonic barrier activated! That's when the ship stopped, as it put up a barrier, and the bridge exploded.

"Whoa! That was cool!" Luke said, looking out the window Tear was sitting next to, and getting in her personal space. "Wow! That's Malkuth's newest land dreadnaught, the Tartarus!" The man driving the coach said to everyone, as Tear forced Luke to take a seat. "I gotta say. I've never seen a land ship. This Malkuth must have pretty creative people making things for them." Diaz said to everyone.

"M-Malkuth?! What's the Malkuth military doing hanging around here?" Luke asked the man. "What do you mean? Of course they're here. There's been no end to the rumors that Kimlasca's going to start a war any day now. They've tightened security in this area." The man said to Luke.

"Wait a minute. This isn't Kimasca?" Tear asked the man. "What are you talking about? This is the Malkuth Empire. The West Rugnica Plains." The man said to Tear. "Hang on! I thought this coach was headed for the capital, Baticul!" Luke said to the man, standing up.

"Nope, Grand Chokmah- capital of Malkuth and home to His Imperial Majesty, Peony the Ninth." The man said to Luke. "Hmm, I was mistaken." Tear said, calmly. "How can you be so calm about it?! How could you make a mistake like that?!" Luke asked everyone. "Because you wanted to ride in the coach and didn't bother aching which capital he was going to." Diaz said to Luke.

"He has a point. And I didn't recognize the area. What's your excuse?" Tear asked Luke. "I've been confined to the manor. I've never been outside. How the hell should I have known?" Luke asked. "But if you know there were two kingdoms, you should have asked the man which capital he was going to." Diaz said to Luke.

"You're sure acting strange. Are you three Kimlascan?" The man asked everyone. "N-no. We're from Malkuth. We have business in Baticul. We were on our way there." Tear said to the man. "Talk about bald-faced…" Luke said, but stopped talking when Diaz kicked Luke. "Shut it." Diaz said to Luke.

"That's the other direction, then. If you're going to Kimlasca, you should've taken the road south, rather than crossing the bridge. Mind you, with that bridge out, you can't go back now…" The man said to everyone. "Are you serious? NOW what do we do?" Luke asked everyone.

"We're passing through Engeve to the east on the way to Grand Chokmah. What do you three want to do?" The man asked everyone. "If we go all the way to Grand Chokmah, we'll just wind up farther away. Let's stop in Engeve and think about how to get back to Kimlasca." Tear said to everyone. "We'll walk to Engeve and see the sights along the way." Luke said to everyone. "I agree with Luke. walking would be better." Diaz said to everyone.

The man then stopped the coach, and let everyone off. "Engeve is to the east of here. Take care, now." The man said to everyone. "You too." Diaz said to the man, tossing him the pearl he promised to the man. Taking the pearl the man started to leave.

"Okay. Now that he's gone, care to explain why going into Malkuth is a bad idea?" Diaz asked everyone. "Because Luke here is a noble from Kimlasca, and things are tense between Kimlasca and Malkuth." Tear said to Diaz. "Why are things tense?" Diaz asked everyone. "I can't share that information." Tear said to Diaz. "And who should I know." Luke said to Diaz.

Diaz then slapped his hand into his face. "Okay forget it. Clearly getting a clear answer from the girl will be hard, and I'll get nothing from talking to the boy." Diaz said to everyone. "Hey!" Luke said to Diaz.

"Anyway, even if things are tense. How bad is it that Luke's from Kimlasca?" Diaz asked everyone. "Given Luke is the son of Duke Fabre. It's probable that we'll all get killed just for being with him." Tear said to Diaz. "Oh great. Not only am I stuck with a moron. But this moron could get me killed for just knowing him. Just great." Diaz said, placing his hands on his hips.

"Hey if you do like it. You can just leave." Luke said to Diaz. "I could. I can ride Miles and you'll never see me again, maybe. But giving that I have your weapons, and I have no idea where I am. We're stuck together. Now let's go." Diaz said to Luke, before he started to walk. "Can I ride Miles at least?" Luke asked Diaz. "No." Diaz said to Luke, as Tear started to walk. Luke sighed and started to walk.

After walking for a bit, they all made it to a large farm town, with the large form it's width, the buildings were all one story. "This must be Engeve." Tear said to everyone. "What a nice little town." Diaz said to everyone, making a man notice them. "Huh, you folks traveling on foot?" The man asked everyone.

"You got a problem with that?" Luke asked the man. That's when Diaz kicked him in the leg. "Ignore him. But is there a reason you asked why we walked?" Diaz asked the man. "Well, with the bandits and monsters and all, most people come by coach." the man said to Diaz.

"Could I ask you something? How can we get from here to Kimlasca?" Tear asked the man. "I heard Rotelro Bridge is out. So you'd have to head to the Kaitzur Checkpoint in the south." The man said to Tear. "Thank you." Tear said to the man. "No problem. Bye!" The man said to Tear, before walking away.

"A checkpoint… We won't be able to get through without passports. This could be a problem…" Tears said to everyone. "Given I don't have the records needed for a passport. Yes. it'll be a problem." Diaz said to Tear.

"It'll be fine. If I say I'm Duke Fabre's son, they'll let us through in no time. But right now, I want to check this place out! This is my first time in a city!" Luke said to everyone. "A city…? Well, I suppose we do need to prepare a bit before we leave. Let's stay the night here." Tear said to everyone, as they entered the town.

Soon they reached some stalls. "Wow, these apples look good." Luke said, taking one of the apples, and took a bit out of it, surprising everyone. "Sir! You need to pay!" The stall owner said to Luke. "Why do I have to pay?" Luke asked the man.

That's when Diaz punched Luke in the back of the head, forcing Luke to the ground. "Moron. It's common sense to pay for something when it's being selled. How much of an idiot are you?" Diaz asked Luke, putting his hands on his hips.

"You can't just take a store's products without paying!" Tear said to Luke. "But the manor pays for everything all at once. Oh, wait, this Malkuth." Luke said, as he got up. "Malkuth OR Kimlasca, the normal way to shop at a store is to pay money for what you buy when you buy it." Tear said to Luke. "I haven't got any money on me!" Luke said to Tear.

"Then you're a thief!" The man said to Luke, as people started to gather around them. "This brat stole an apple from me!" The man said to everyone. "What? Could he be behind the recent storehouse robberies?" Another man asked. "Hey!" A man said to Luke, as he and a few other men grabbed Luke. "Let me go! I didn't do anything!" Luke said to the men.

"Now, let's all calm do-." Diaz said to everyone, but was interrupted by the men trampling him, as they took Luke away. Tear walked up to see Diaz in the dirt, and covered in a few foot prints. "Are you okay?" Tear asked Diaz. "Given that the moron got me trampled, what do you think?" Diaz asked Tear.

A few minutes later, Luke was tossed into a house. In the house was the commander of the landship, and a large woman with short red hair. "Rose, we've got trouble!" A man said to the woman, as Tear and Diaz reached everyone, with Diaz no longer covered in footprints.

"Hush! We've got an important guest from the military here. Calm down!" Rose said to everyone, walking up to everyone. But that's when a man picked up Luke. "How can we be calm?! We caught him! We caught the guy stealing food!" The man said to Rose. "I'm telling you, it wasn't me!" Luke said to the man.

"Rose! This guy may be with the Dark WIngs!" Another man said to Rose. "He's got to be responsible for all the food getting stolen lately!" A third man said to Rose. "I'm telling you people, I'm not your damn thief! Do I look like I'm going hungry to you?!" Luke asked everyone, making the man let go of him. "He's telling the truth. He's a moron. Not a thief. We just avoided the area a couple minutes ago." Diaz said to everyone. "Hey!" Luke said to Diaz.

"My, my, what a lively boy. Let's all just settle down first, all right?" Rose asked everyone. "Yes, please do." The commander said to everyone. "Colonel…" Rose said to the commander. "Who the hell are you?" Luke asked the commander. "I'm Colonel Jade Curtliss, Third Division, Malkuth Imperial Forces. And who might you be?" The commander asked Luke.

"Luke. Luke fon-." Luke said to Jade, but was interrupted by Tear pulling him to the side. "What's your problem?" Luke asked Tear, as Tear and Diaz moved to his sides. "Have you forgotten? This is enemy territory. Your father. Duke Fabre, is one of Malkuth's greatest enemies. Don't use your name so casually." Tear said to Luke. "Oh. Really?" Luke asked. "He's your father. How do you not know this?" Diaz asked Luke.

"Yes. There are plenty of people here who've had family killed by your father. You don't want any unnecessary trouble, do you?" Tear said to Luke. "And by unnecessary. She means anything that could get us killed, like saying your full name for example." Diaz said to Luke.

"Is something wrong?" Jade asked everyone. Tear and Diaz then pushed Luke into a wall, and turned to Jade. "My apologies, Colonel. He's Luke. This is Diaz. I'm Tear. We were headed for Chesedonia, but we boarded the wrong coach and wound up here." Tear said to Jade.

"Oh? So you're with this man suspected of being with the Dark Wings?" Jade asked Tear. "Not the first time we've been called that." Diaz said to Jade. "We're not with the Dark Wings. The Malkuth military forces the real Dark Wings to the other side of Rotelro Bridge." Tear said to Jade.

"Ah… I see. So you were on that coach from earlier." Jade said to Tear. "I thought your voice sounded filliar." Diaz said to Jade. "What is all this about, Colonel?" Rose asked Jade. "Just as Tear said, a group of bandits to be the Dark Wings fled toward Kimlasca.I can assure you that these three are not with them." Jade said to Rose.

"They don't appear to be mere food thieves, either." A male voice said to everyone. "Fon Master Ion." Jade said, as they turned to see a man in the doorway.

The man was young, with pale skin, green eyes, green hair that was tied into two ponytails on the side of his head, white robes with a light green tabard over it, and a necklace with a tuning fork on it. "I was a bit curious, so I investigated the food storehouse. I found this in a corner of this room." Ion said to everyone, before walking up to Rose, and handing her some fur.

"This is fur from a sacred cheagle." Rose said to everyone. "Yes. A cheagle is what probably raided your food stores." Ion said to Rose. "See! I told you I wasn't a thief!" Luke said to the man. "But you did steal that apple." Diaz said to Luke. "Shut up!" Luke said to Diaz. "He's right. You did eat that apple before paying. You need to learn not to do things that'll make you look suspicious." Tear said to Luke.

"How was I supposed to know? I didn't know I had to pay." Luke said to Tear. "It's common sense. Even a moron like you should know you have to pay for things." Diaz said to Luke. "Well, sounds like that takes care of that. I think you all have something to say to this boy and his friends?" Rose said to the men.

"I'm sorry. With all the burglaries lately, I've been a little on edge." The man said to Luke. "Sorry for accusing you." The shopkeeper said to Luke. "I'm sorry I made the situation worse." another man said to Luke. "Do you think you could forgive them, boy?" Rose asked Luke. "I'm not a boy." Luke said to Rose. "I'm sorry. Luke, could we let bygones be bygones?" Rose asked Luke. "Yeah, whatever." Luke said to everyone.

"Glad to hear it. Now, I have business with the colonel. I'll think of a way to stop the cheagles, so all of you just go home for today." Rose said to everyone. As the man started to leave, Tear stopped the shopkeeper. "He's the payment for the apple." Tear said to the man, giving him a few coins. Then the shopkeeper left.

Then Diaz, Tear, and Luke started to leave. But as they left, Luke looked back at Ion. "Come on moron." Diaz said to Luke, pulling him away, and closing the door. "Why is Fon Master Ion here…" Tear asked everyone. "Fon Master Ion?" Luke asked. "Who's that?" Diaz asked Tear.

"The supreme leader of the Order of Lorelei." Tear said to everyone. "Hey, wait a minute. I heard Ion was missing. Master Van said he was returning home to look for him!" Luke said to everyone. "Really? That's news to me. I wonder what's going on… He didn't look like he was being held captive." Tear said to everyone.

"Maybe this Van was just making up that Ion was missing, to get away from the moron." Diaz said to Tear, pointing to Luke. "Master Van wouldn't do that! Why did you even think that?!" Luke asked Diaz. "Have you looked at yourself?" Diaz said to Luke, pulling out a mirror and making Luke look at his reflection.

Annoyed by Diaz's words, Luke knocked the mirror out of Diaz's hands, breaking it. "You know that's seven years of bad luck, right?" Diaz asked Luke. "Forget this, I'll go ask him." Luke said to everyone. "Stop. They seemed to be in the middle of an important discussion. Let's come back tomorrow." Tear said to Luke, stopping him from entering the house.

Tear then started to walk away. "Humph. Why do I have to follow your orders?" Luke asked Tear. "Given that you're a moron who has no common sense. And I have no idea what's going on. Tear become the leader by default. Now come on." Diaz said to Luke, walking away, and dragging Luke as he walked.

They then walked into the inn, and in the inn, two girls were talking to the innkeeper. One looked like a little kid, with white skin, brown hair that was tied into two fluffy ponytails, brown eyes, wearing a red, red sleeves that weren't attached to the dress, white gloves, white legging, armor shoes, a tabard that was covering her back and the upper part of her front, and a creepy puppet on her back.

The other gril looked like a young adult, probably not in her 20's yet. She had tan skin, ash brown hair that was pulled into a ponytail on the left side of her head and went down onto her shoulder, green eyes, and a few freckles on her nose. She was wearing a blue dress that reached down to her feet with no sleeves, some armor sleeves on her arms, fingerless armored gloves, a tabard that covered her front and a little in the back, and on her back was a shield.

"Have you seen the person we were with?! A boy, pretty short? Kind of out of it?" The kid asked the man. "Sorry, I was away from the inn for a little while…" The innkeeper said to the little girl. "Honestly, that Ion! Where did he run off to?" The little girl asked. "I blame you for this Anise. If you had tried to scam that man, we wouldn't have lost Ion." The young adult woman said to the little girl. "Shut up Whina, and help me find Ion." Anise said to the young adult woman.

"Ion? You mean Fon Master Ion?" Luke asked Anise. "If you two are looking for Ion, he was over at Rose's place." Tear said to Anise and Whina. "Really?! Thank you!" Anise said to Tear, before she and Whina.

"Hey, wait a second. What's the Fon Master doing here? I heard he was missing." Luke asked Anise and Whina. "Ack! Are there rumors like that floating around?! I have to tell Ion!" Anise said, running out of the door. "Anise wait! Do you even know where you're going?" Whina said to Anise, going after her.

"Hey! Humph. She didn't answer my question." Luke said to everyone. "But it sounds like my idea of Van ditching you is becoming more likely." Diaz said to Luke. "I'm telling you that Master Van wasn't lying when he told me Ion was missing." Luke said to Diaz. "But the little one looks like a Fon Master Guardian, and the other one looks like a Healer of The Order of Lorelei. So I assume Ion's journey is officially recognized by the Order of Lorelei." Tear said to Luke.

"A Fon Master Guardian? And Healer of The Order of Lorelei?" Luke asked Tear. "They're Ion's personal guard, a special force within the Oracle Knights. They accompany him on all official business. And the Healer Of The Order of Lorelei means someone who's known to have strong healing magic, but I don't know why they're here." Tear said to Luke.

"Those chicks are Master Van's soldiers and medic, huh…" Luke said to everyone. "Actually a Healer of The Order of Lorelei is a free unit. Moving around to where they're needed. They only take orders from the Fon Master and the Grand Mastro." Tear said to

"But what was up with Ion being "missing"? I'm gonna be so mad if that was just a mistake!" Luke said to everyone. "It sounds like my ditching you idea is becoming more and more likely." Diaz said to Luke. "Will you drop that!" Luke said to Diaz, before they walked up to the Innkeeper.

"Sorry about earlier. You can stay here free tonight. It's the least I can do." The man said to everyone. "Thank you, my good man. And no hard feelings about the incident." Diaz said to the man, before they went into their room.

Their Diaz let out Miles, and they were talking to Tear about what to do next, with Luke having a fit in the corner. "Tomorrow, we'll head for the Kaitzur checkpoint. With the bridge out, that's the only way back to Baticul. We also have to do something about passports…" Tear said to Diaz. "We may have to find some way to sneak through the checkpoint." Diaz said to Tear, petting Miles.

"Grr, I can't stand it. I can't just leave like this!" Luke said, getting everyone's attention. "Unbelievable. Are you still mad?" Tear asked Luke. "Of course! They called me a thief!" Luke said to tear. "You are a thief. You stole an apple." Diaz said to Luke.

"I'll say it again. How was I supposed to know I had to pay for it? Everything gets billed to the manor." Luke said to Diaz. "I can't tell. Are you 7 or a moron?" Diaz asked Luke. "I think it's both." Tear said to Diaz. "Shut up." Luke said to everyone.

Some time later, they got ready for bed. "Hey, do you know what cheagles are? They called them "sacred"." Luke asked Tear, as they sat on the beds. "They're herbivores that live in the woodlands of the East Rugnica Plains. They're one of the symbols of The Order of Lorelei, along with the Order's founder, Yulia. Their forest is just north of this village, actually." Tear said to Luke.

"We're going there tomorrow." Luke said to tear. "To do what?" Tear asked Luke. "To look for proof that they're the thieves." Luke said to Tear. "I doubt we'll find any." Tear said to everyone. "And even if we do. It's not like anything's going to change what happened today." Diaz said to Luke. "Shut up! I've made up my mind!" Luke said to Tear and Diaz.

"You know we could just let him go alone. We don't have to listen or follow him." Diaz said to Tear. "It's my fault he's out here. I have to see him home." Tear said to Diaz. "Well, since this moron probably doesn't know anything about a forest, I'll go with you too, if only to keep the moron from killing both of you." Diaz said to everyone, before they went to sleep.

The next morning they left for the cheagle woods, with Diaz hiding Miles in his Pokeball, at least until they were away form the town. When they arrived, they found Whina protecting a tired looking Ion from some monsters, with her shield in hand. "Hey, it's that Ion kid and Whina lady." Luke said to everyone. "They're in trouble!" Tear said to everyone. "Let's go." Diaz said to everyone.

But before they could even take a step towards Whina and Ion, Ion raised a hand, as it started to glow, and then Ion slammed his hand into the ground, making a magic circle. The magic circle let out a massive pulse of energy, killing the monster. Ion then tried to get up, but once he stood up, he fell over, lucky Whina caught him.

"Hey, are you okay?" Luke asked Ion, as they all ran up to Ion and Whina. "I-I'm fine. I just used too strong a Daathic fonic arte." Ion said, as he stood on his own two feet again. "I told you to cut back on those artes. Your body doesn't like using those artes." Whina said to Ion.

That's when Ion and Whina noticed everyone. "Oh, you're the three from Engeve yesterday…" Ion said to everyone, but stopped when he and Whina noticed Miles. "What is that?!" Ion asked everyone. "That's Miles, a Pokemon, a Cyclizar. He's friendly. And my name is Diaz." Diaz said to Ion.

"Pokemon, and Diaz. In all my reading I never heard about those kind creatures before, or of the name Diaz." Ion said to everyone. "I'm Luke." Luke said to Ion. "Luke… That means "light of the sacred flames" in Ancient Ispanian. That's a nice name." Ion said to Luke. (Too bad his personality isn't that nice.) Miles said to everyone.

"I'm locrian Sergeant Tear Grants. 1st platoon, Oracle Knights Intelligence Division, under Grand Maestro Moh's command." Tear said to Ion, supsing Ion and Whina. 'Ah, you're Van's younger sister. I've heard of you. This is the first time we've met, isn't it?" Ion asked Tear.

"You're Master Van's sister?! Then what was with you trying to kill him?!" Luke asked Tear. "Wait what?" Diaz asked. "Kill him?" Ion asked Tear. "Sorry, it's nothing. Just something between us." Tear said to Ion. "Given that you're with Moh, I doubt it's just something between you too." Whina said to Tear.

"Don't try to avoid the question! If you're his sister, why are you trying to kill him?" Luke asked Tear. "It's… I…" Tear said, but stopped when they noticed a small orange creature, with two stubby arms and legs, and large fluffy ears that was twice the size of its body came into view.

"It's a cheagle!" Ion said to everyone. "So, they do live here! Come on, we're gonna catch that thing!" Luke said to everyone, as he started to run, but didn't make it two steps. The reason being Diaz tripped Luke, and made Luke fall to the ground. "Don't go running after it. You'll scare it, and it'll be even harder to catch." Diaz said to Luke, stepping on Luke, pinning him to the ground with his foot.

"Before we go after the cheagle's maybe we should finish talking with Tear." Whina said to everyone. "Would it be best if I don't inquire about you and Van?" Ion asked Tear. "I'm sorry. It relates to my homeland. I'd prefer not to get you, Whina, Diaz. Miles, or Luke involved." Tear said to Ion.

"Hey! It's gonna get away!" Luke said, trying to get out from under Diaz's foot. "Let's go!" Ion said to everyone. "What? Oh, right!" Tear said to everyone, as Diaz moved his foot, and Luke got up. "Just be careful Ion." Whina said to Ion, before they started to walk.

After walking for a bit, Luke stopped everyone. "Grr! You see?! It got away! This is because you tripped me!" Luke said to Diaz. "If you ran after it, you'd sacred it, and we still would have still lost it." Diaz said to Luke. "Don't worry. Their nesting ground should be up ahead." Ion said to everyone.

"How do you know?" Luke asked Ion. "Oh, um… Actually, I was curious about the thefts in Engeve and did a little looking. Cheagles are intelligent and peaceful creatures. It's not like them to steal food." Ion said to Luke. "And after trying to sneak out to find the answers. I Knew I couldn't stop him. So I came along too." Whina said to everyone.

"Humph. Well, looks like we're all headed to the same place, then." Luke said to Ion and Whina. "The three of you and your beast came here to investigate the cheagles, too?" Ion asked Luke.

"Miles is a Pokemon, not a beast. And really we came here because Luke is still annoyed that the people of Engeve thought he was the thief." Diaz said to everyone. "Man what a brat." Whina said to everyone.

"I'm not gonna just let people accuse me of things I didn't do." Luke said to everyone. "You did steal an apple. So thinking you're a food thief isn't that far-fetched of an idea." Diaz said to Luke, making Luke groan.

"Forget it. You're coming with us." Luke said to Ion and Whina. "How can you think of taking Fon Master Ion somewhere so dangerous?!" Tear asked Luke. "Then what do you want to do with him? He'll just come wandering back here on his own. Besides, he has a warrior with him." Luke said to Tear.

"Actually I'm a pacifist." Whina said to Luke. "A what? I have no idea what that word is." Luke said to Whina. "A pacifist is someone who believes that violence is unjustifiable." Diaz said to Luke.

"But she has a shield." Luke said to everyone, pointing to the shield on Whina's back. "And that's all I have. My mentor told me that while one may never raise their fist in violence. But one should be prepared for when violence finds them." Luke said to everyone.

"That's stupid." Luke said to everyone, earning a punch to the back of his head from Diaz. "No it's not your moron. It means, while she doesn't want to hurt people. She also knows that being a pacifist won't keep one safe from danger." Diaz said to Luke, as Luke rubbed his head.

"Whatever. They're still something. They'll just come wandering back here on his own." Luke said to everyone. "I'm sorry. I just have to know. Cheagles are the sacred beasts of our Order, after all." Ion said to Luke.

"See? Besides, we can't just leave a guy with a face so pale he looks like he's about to die." Luke said to everyone, earning another punch to the head from Diaz. "You really gotta stop talking like that." Diaz said to Luke, as Luke rubbed his head.

"Will you stop picking on Luke. he's such a nice person." Ion said to Diaz. "Don't tell him that. He'll hold it over our heads." Diaz said to Ion. "It's fine. Now quit saying stupid stuff and let's go!" Luke said to Diaz and Ion. "Okay!" Ion said to Luke.

"And don't use that weird arte again. You damn near passed out. We'll take care of the fighting." Luke said to Ion. "With what? You don't have a weapon?" Whina said to Luke. "I have a sword. But Diaz still hasn't given it back!" Luke said to Whina. "We're here to heal your bruised ego. Why would I give you a sword?" Diaz asked Luke. "He has a point." Whina said to Luke.

"Shut up." Luke said to Whina. "But you're going to protect me? Sir Luke, I'm so moved!" Ion said to Luke, embarrassing Luke. "Th-that's not what I meant! You'll just be in the way! Don't get all worked up over it. And it's just "Luke", got it? Now, let's go!" Luke said to Ion, before walking away. "Okay, Luke!" Ion said, as everyone else started to move.

While walking, they found a few dead tiger monster bodies. One of the bodies was burned. One was covered in bruises. And the last body was cut up. "What are these things?" Diaz asked everyone.

"They're ligers. But they don't normally live in this area. And they're some of our strongest monsters. Finding a single liger like this in the wild is rare. But three… something nasty must have happened." Whina said to everyone. "Let's go before that "something" finds us." Diaz said to everyone, as they got back to walking.

After walking for a bit longer, they found another cheagle. "Mieu, mieu mieu mieu, mieu!" The cheagle said, noticing everyone. "So, that's a cheagle?" Luke asked everyone. "It looks like it's still a child." Ion said to Luke. 'it's so cute.' Tear thought to herself, before walking up to it. This made Tear feel bad.

"Hey! It ran away!" Luke said to everyone. "It is a wild animal, after all." Ion said to Luke. "And the records say cheagles are timid creatures to begin with." Whina said to everyone. "This must be the cheagles' nesting area." Tear said to everyone. "I do hope we can find some proof they stole food from the village." Ion said to everyone.

"Those stupid things probably left proof all over the place." Luke said to everyone, once again earning a punch to the head from Diaz. "Be nice. It's just doing what their kind do." Diaz said to Luke, as Luke rubbed his head. "Let's explore a little." Ion said to everyone, as they started to walk.

After a few more minutes, they found a giant tree, and a giant hole in the base of the tree. And outside this great hole were some apples. "These apples have the mark of Engeve on them." Ion said to everyone, picking up an apple. So, these guys did do it!" Luke said to everyone.

"But why is still unknown." Diaz said to everyone. "I think I hear something inside this tree." Tear said to everyone. "Cheagles live inside tree trunks." Ion said to everyone, before walking into the giant tree. "Fon Master! That's too dangerous!" Tear said to Ion, as she and Whina ran after Ion.

"This kid is hopeless." Luke said to Diaz. "If not him. It would have been you running into that tree." Diaz said to Luke, before he, Luke, and Miles walked into the tree.

But when Luke, Diaz, and Miles entered the tree, they were met with two creatures. The two creatures looked kinda like a dark green gecko, with yellow eyes, a red belly, lower jaw, and front part of their necks, but was standing on two legs, with long feet and two claw like toes, long arms with three leaf fans on the wrist, and two claws for fingers, they had two long oval leaves for tails, and a large leave on the back of their heads that went down to the base of their tails.

These two creatures, had one of the leaf fans on their wrist, turned into a green glowing crescent blade, and pointed the blades at Ion's throat. This left some tension in the air.

"What the?! Diaz, give me my sword now!" Luke said to Diaz. "Wait. Those are Grovyles. Even if I gave you your sword back. The Grovyles still have the field advantage, I doubt you could beat them." Diaz said to Luke. "What are you talking about?" Luke asked Diaz. Diaz sighed and pulled out his Rotom Phone.

Text/This Pokemon adeptly flies from branch to branch in trees. In a forest, No Pokemon can ever hope to catch a fleeing Grovyle however fast they may be.

"Besides, they're not alone." Diaz said, as he put his Rotom phone away, and as they noticed many cheagles and various Pokemon living in the tree. "Please let me through." Ion said to the Grovyles. (Like we just let you pass. We have no idea who you are or why you're here.) One of the Grovyles said to Ion with a male voice.

"Like the monsters and Pokemon are gonna understand you." Luke said to everyone. This caused Miles to bite Luke's legs, making Luke steam in pain. "Luke, while I don't know if cheagles can understand us. But Pokemon do. And being rude in a Pokemon nest is a good way to get really hurt." Diaz said to Luke, as Miles let go of Luke.

"The Order founder, Yulia Jue, made a pact with the cheagles and gained their aid… Or so I've been told." Ion said to Diaz. That's when another creature walked up to everyone.

The creature was giant, looked like it was also gecko-like, standing on two legs, with three claw toes. Two arms with two blade fins on its wrist and three claw fingers, a red lower jaw and line on its belly, six yellow orbs on its back, two small fins on top of its head, yellow eyes, and an x shape pine tree like tail.

"A Sceptile. Just what we need." Diaz said to everyone. "A what?" Luke asked Diaz. Diaz then pulled out his Rotom Phone again.

Text/The leaves that grow on its arms can slice down thick trees. It is without peer in jungle combat.

"I should keep this out for a bit." Diaz said, keeping his Rotom Phone in hand. "It looks like the Grovyles." Tear said to everyone. "Because Grovyle evolves into Sceptile." Diaz said to everyone. "Evolves?" Whina asked Diaz.

"Evolve is something many Pokemon do naturally. It makes them stronger, fast, and smarter. Many believe that when a Pokemon evolves to a certain stage, it might be similar to growing up. Basically Grovyle is a teenager and Sceptile is an adult." Diaz said to everyone.

"But how can that turn into that?" Luke asked Diaz, pointing to a Grovyle and the Sceptile. "When Pokemon evolve they change, sometimes a lot, sometimes very little." Diaz said to Luke. "What's that on its head?" Whina asked everyone, as they looked at the Sceptile head.

On its head was an older looking dark purple cheagle, with a ring in its hands. "Mieu mieu. Meiu, meiu." The elder cheagle said to everyone. (You heard her boys. Stand down.) The Sceptile said to the Grovyles with a male voice. The Grovyles grunted and lowered their blades before jumping away from everyone.

"Are you a relation of Yulia Jue?" The elder cheagle asked Ion, surprising everyone. "Whoa, that monster talked!" Luke said to everyone. "It is the power of the ring we were granted as part of our pact with Yulia. Are you of relation to Yulia?" The elder cheagle asked everyone.

"Yes. I'm Ion, Fon Master of the Order of Lorelei. Am I correct in assuming that you're the cheagle elder?" Ion asked the elder cheagle, as he, Tear, and Whina walked up to the elder cheagle.

"Indeed I am." The elder cheagle said to Ion. "Hey. Monster. You guys stole food from Engeve, right?" Luke asked the elder cheagle, with a rude tune in his voice, as he, Diaz, and Miles walked up to the elder cheagle. "I see now. So, you've come to exterminate us." The elder cheagle asked Luke. "Humph. So you don't deny it." Luke said to the elder cheagle

This made Pokemon growl at Luke. (If that's why you're here. Then all the Pokemon here will show you no mercy.) Sceptile said to everyone, turning his fins on his wrist, into two glowing green crescent blades. Worried about what the Pokemon would do, Diaz kicked the back of Luke's legs, knocking Luke to the ground. Then Miles got on top of Luke, and had his tail on Luke's mouth, muffling Luke's protest.

"Please ignore him. He's just being a brat after getting blamed for all the stealing. Which only happened because he stole an apple without paying for it right in front of the shop owner." Diaz said to everyone. "But we do have to ask why?" Whina asked The elder cheagle.

"Yes. Cheagles are herbivores. Why do you need to steal human food?" Ion asked the elder cheagle. "To preserve the cheagle tribe." The elder cheagle said to Ion. "It doesn't look like you lack food. There's plenty of vegetation in this forest." Tear said to the elder cheagle.

"One of our members caused a fire in the northern region. As a result, the ligers that lived there moved down to this forest. In order to prey on us." The elder said to everyone.

"Then, the reason you stole the food was so your people wouldn't be eaten." Ion said to The elder cheagle. "Correct. If they aren't sent food periodically, we cheagles are captured and eaten." The elder cheagle said to everyone.

"That's horrible…" Ion said, as Luke managed to get Miles off him and stand up. "And totally not our problem. If you're weak, you're food. That's how it works." Luke said to everyone, making all the Pokemon roar and growl at Luke.

Diaz punched Luke in the head again, before grabbing the color of Luke's jacket. "Moron! Are you trying to get us killed! You keep saying stuff like that, and all these Pokemon will attack us." Diaz said to Luke, shaking him. (No, we'd just hurt the red hair one.) Sceptile said to everyone.

"Why, that's just it works and I'd be mad if you torched my land." Luke said to Diaz. Diaz sighed. "You really have no sense of sympathy do you." Diaz said to Luke, before tossing Luke to the ground. "What Luke said may be true, but this is hardly a normal food chain." Ion said to everyone.

"Yes. You could say ligers are like bullies. They either force creatures to bring them food or be their food." Whina said to everyone. (And the other day when we showed up. The ligers thought us easy prey and ordered us to bring them food. When I said no they attacked us. But we made short work of the four ligers, killing three of them and letting one leave, with a message, that we will not be bullied by them.) Sceptile said to everyone. (That explains the corpse we found earlier.) Miles said to everyone.

(Yes, Cyclizar, some cheagles saw us fighting back the ligers and asked us to join them in protecting their kind. And with us Pokemon wanting to fight these ligers, we agreed.) Sceptile said to Miles. (It's Miles, I have a name.) Miles said to Sceptile. (A name?) Sceptile said, scratching his chin.

"Luke, we've confirmed that the thieves are cheagles. What do you want to do now?" Tear asked Luke. "What else? We're gonna drag these guys down to Engeve and-." Luke said to Tear, but was interrupted by a Grovyle jumping onto him, with one of his leaf fans turning back into a green crescent blade. The blade, only an inch away from Luke's throat.

"I don't think the Pokemon will let us leave this place in one piece, if your plan is to hurt their friends." Diaz said to Luke. "And if we do that, the ligers will likely attack Engeve next in search of food." Tear said to Luke. "I don't care what happens to that stupid village." Luke said to Tear.

That's when Diaz stepped on Luke's face. "You really are a brat. These are innocent lives we are talking about. We can't just turn our backs on them." Diaz said to Luke, rubbing his foot in Luke's face. "Diaz is right. That's not acceptable. Food from Engeve is shipped throughout the entire world- not just the Malkuth Empire." Ion said to everyone.

Then Diaz removed his foot from Luke, and helped Luke up, making the Grovyle back off and growed at Luke. "Then what do we do?" Luke asked everyone. "Let's negotiate with the ligers." Ion said to everyone. This made all the Pokemon laugh at Ion. "What's so funny?" Ion asked the Pokemon.

"They probably think that negotiation is a silly idea. And that you're silly for even suggesting the idea." Diaz said to Ion. "He has a point. How can we even negotiate with monsters?" Tear asked Ion. "Can those liger talk, too?" Luke asked everyone. "We can't talk to them directly, but if we take one of the cheagles with us as a translator…" Ion said to everyone. "Can we do that?" Whina asked everyone.

"Yes you can." The elder Cheagle said, making everyone notice Sceptile walking to them. When Sceptile got close, he took the Elder Cheagle off his head and placed the Elder Cheagle on the ground. "I shall lend this sorcerer's ring to one who will be your interpreter." The Elder Cheagle said to everyone, before calling one of the cheagles.

That's when a tiny teal cheagle came out from the crowd. "What the…?" Luke asked. "This child is the one who caused the fire in the north. I want you to take him with you." The Elder Cheagle said to everyone.

"You can't be serious? You want us to take the kid that caused this whole mess. Are you trying to get us eaten?" Diaz asked the Elder Cheagle, as the Elder Cheagle gave the ring to the teal cheagle, only to cause the Elder Cheagle to hit the teal cheagle on the head, knocking them both down and making them drop the ring.

The Elder Cheagle, then told the teal cheagle to put it on. The teal cheagle then put the ring on like a belt. The teal cheagle looked at everyone. "My name's Mieu. Pleased to meet you." The teal cheagle said to everyone, with a male squeaky voice, as they got on their knees and looked at him.

"Something about this thing is really annoying." Luke said to everyone. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Mieu said to Luke. "Argh! You're gonna drive me nuts! I should just roast you and eat you right now." Luke said to Mieu, raising a fist to Mieu.

This made the Pokemon lunge at Luke, and started to beat him up, making a dust cloud. "I told you that being rude would get you hurt." Diaz said to Luke, as the Pokemon kept beating Luke up.

"Anyway. I know Ion wants to try the peace way. But with us traveling with the kid that caused the fire, I'm pretty sure they won't listen. So can we have some Pokemon to help us out when things go south?" Diaz asked Sceptile. (But you're a Trainer? Is this Cyclizar all you have?) Sceptile asked Diaz.

"Sceptile asked "But you're a Trainer? Is this Cyclizar all you have?". What's a trainer?" Mieu asked everyone. "You can translate Pokemon?" Diaz asked Mieu. "Yes, it's part of the ring's powers. But what is a Trainer?" Mieu asked Diaz.

"It means someone who trains Pokemon, there's many reasons for someone to become a Trainer. But for me. It's to deal with any problematic person or Pokemon I might run into on my travels." Diaz said to Mieu.

"And to answer your question. Miles is the only Pokemon I have on hand. I had a full 6 team, but all my Pokemon are missing." Diaz said to Sceptile. Sceptile then looked at Diaz. (Fine. I'll have a few Pokemon join you.) Secptile said to Diaz. "Secpitle said. Fine. I'll have a few Pokemon join you."." Mieu said to everyone.

"We don't need the extra muscle. I'm sure all we have to do is talk to the ligers and everything will be fine." Ion said to everyone. "And what do we do if talking doesn't work. Need I remind you that you want us to walk into the ligers den. Having some extra muscle might be the only thing keeping us from being a meal." Diaz said to everyone.

"If you feel that strongly about it. We'll take some gentle ones please. I still believe we can still work this out by talking." Ion said to Sceptile. (Wow, you are a fool. But okay.) Sceptile said to Ion. "Sceptile said. Wow, you are a fool. But okay."." Mieu said to everyone, making everyone look at Sceptile.

(Mieu! Don't translate everything you hear! Hoothoot, Swablu, Igglybuff, Charcadet. Step forward!) Sceptile said, making four creatures move.

The first was a round brown bird, with red eyes, black outlines around its eyes, two eyebrows that looked like clock handles, a pink oval shaped beak, two tiny wings, and two thick legs with big talons, each talon having four claws. When it landed one of the legs was pulled into its body.

The second one was a blue bird, with small black eyes, a white beak and talons, blue tail feathers, two blue feathers on the top of its head, and white fluffy cloud-like wings.

The third one was a floating pink ball, with stubby arms and feet, big red eyes with black irises, a black swirl mark on its head between the eyes, and three round bumps on top of its head.

The last one, looked like a small human-like creature, with a black body, flame armor chest, red stomp feet and hands, a large black helmet for a head, flaming red eyes, and a flame like ponytail with a blue flame in the ponytail flame.

"A Hoothoot, Swablu, Igglybuff, Charcadet. You just had to ask for gentle Pokemon." Diaz said to Ion. "They don't seem so bad." Ion said to Diaz. "here." Diaz said, holding his Rotom Phone up to Ion.

(Sceptile, why are you having 4 kids help us with this mission?) Miles asked Sceptile. (Hoothoot can protect you with barriers, Swablu can hide you all with mist, Igglybuff can put the ligers to sleep with her Singing, and Charcadet can trap the ligers in fire.) Sceptile said to everyone.

"Sceptile said, "Hoothoot can protect you with barriers, Swablu can hide you all with mist, Igglybuff can put the ligers to sleep with her Singing, and Charcadet can trap the ligers in fire."." Mieu said to everyone.

"Well I guess they're better than nothing." Diaz said to everyone, as he put his Rotom phone away. (We'd be happy to help) Swablu and Igglybuff said to everyone, with a female voice. (I hope we live up to your expectations.) Charcadet and Hoothoot said to everyone, with a male voice.

"Well then let's get going." Ion said to everyone, as they started to leave the tree. "Oh right! I forgot the moron." Diaz said, going back into the tree and pulling a brushed Luke out of the dust cloud, and then pulling Luke, as they walked out of the tree.

Once everyone got outside, Mieu stopped them, and Luke started to stand on his own feet. "Everyone, watch this." Mieu said to everyone. Then Mieu let out a burst of fire, supring everyone. "Whoa! He breathed fire!" Luke said to everyone. "Neat, huh?" Mieu asked everyone. "What was that?" Tear asked Mieu.

"I can breathe fire, so I'm useful for more than just interpreting. I'm going to work extra hard to make up for all the trouble I caused my friends." Mieu said to everyone. "That's right, I'd forgotten that cheagles were a fire-breathing species." Ion said to everyone. "Yes, we are! But mine is special!" Mieu said to everyone.

"Special?" Tear asked Mieu. "I'm still a child, so I can't actually breathe fire. But!" Mieu said to everyone. "But?" Ion asked Mieu. "The Sorcerer's Ring! Thanks to that, I can breathe fire! And no matter how much fire I breathe out, I never get tired." Mieu said to everyone, before shooting out some fire.

"So the Sorcerer's Ring is good for more than just translation, huh?" Luke asked everyone. "It was originally made to amplify fonic artes. It's a type of capacity core." Ion said to everyone. "But a flame of that size isn't going to be of much use in battle…" Tear said to everyone. This made Mieu feel sad.

"Mieu, can I ask? Did you steal the ring and try using its fire, and that's what started to fire?" Whina asked Mieu. "No. I could do fire without it. So I tried to practice, so I could impress everyone, and that's how I started the fire." Mieu said to Whina. "Okay, then maybe we need to give you a lecture on fire safety." Whina said to Mieu.

"Yeah, but come on. Breathing fire! That'll be fun! Hey, you! Thing!" Luke said to Mieu. "Luke! That;s horrible!" Tear said to Luke. "She's right." Diaz said to Luke. "Oh, shut up! It's fine for this little freak!" Luke said to Tear and Diaz. That's when Diaz did a kick to Luke's face, knocking Luke down.

"What was that for?" Luke asked Diaz, Luke said, rubbing his face. "I'm trying to knock some sense into you. And I'll keep knocking sense into you until you finally get it." Diaz said to Luke, before they all started to walk.

After a bit, and after Whina and tears fixed up Luke making him look normal, they reached a small river. "The liger's lair is up ahead, right?" Tear asked Mieu. "yes. We cross the river and keep going." Mieu said to everyone. "How are we supposed to cross the river when there's no bridge? Luke asked Mieu.

"We'll just have to wade through the river." Ion said to Luke. "Are you serious? My shoes, my clothes… everything'll get drenched! No way!" Luke said to Ion. "How much of a brat are you? It's a little river, as long as you don't trip, it should be no problem getting across." Diaz asked Luke. "I'm not going." Luke said to Diaz.

"Fine. You can stay here. Someone who cares that much about his clothing would just get in the way." Tear said to Luke. "Excuse me?!" Luke asked Diaz. "She's right. Your bad attitude would probably get us killed by the ligers, and if you can't even walk through a river then you're dead weight." Diaz said to Luke.

This made Luke turn away in a fit, and noticed some vines holding up a dead tree on the other side of the river. Luke then had an idea. "Hey thing. Breathe fire on that tree's roots." Luke said to Mieu, not looking at Miue. "Mieu?" Mieu asked, wondering what Luke was thinking.

"You heard me. Beath fire already!" Luke said to Mieu, grabbing Mieu and pointing Mieu at the tree. Mieu let out a cry and let out a burst of flames. The flames hit the vines, burning the vines, and making the dead tree fall, making a bridge.

"Heh. What do you think of that?" Luke asked everyone. "I think it would be better to be nice to Mieu and not use him like a blow torch." Diaz said to Luke, taking Mieu out of Luke's hands, and putting Mieu on the ground.

"But you have figured out a way to cross the river. Excellent thinking, Luke." Ion said to Luke. "Don't feed his ego." Whina said to Ion. "Heh. This is nothing." Luke said to everyone. "Indeed. Mieu is the one who deserves thanks." Tear said to Luke.

(Good work Mieu.) Miles said to Mieu. "H-hey!" Luke said. "I thought it was nothing for you. And stop yelling." Tear said to Luke. "Fone master Ion, shall we be on our way?" Tear asked Ion, jestering him to the bridge. "Oh, right. Luke, cheer up. Come on, let's get going." Ion said to everyone.

"Let's go." Mieu said to everyone. "Shut up." Luke said to Mieu, making Mieu feel sad. That's when Miles hit Luke in the back of the legs with his tail. This made Luke trip and fall into the river. "Well, so much for keeping dry." Diaz said, as everyone else used the bridge to cross the river.

After a bit of walking, and Luke dried off, they found a large hole in the forest floor. Mieu led them down into the hole, and found a massie underground nest. Traveling through it for a bit, they found a massive liger in a massive open area sitting on a nest.

"That must be the queen." Tear said to everyone. "The queen?" Luke asked Tear. "Ligers live in packs formed around a giant female." Tear said to Luke. "Mieu, please go talk with the liger queen." Ion asked Mieu. "Yes, sir!" Mieu said to Ion.

Mieu then started to talk to the liger queen, but the liger queen just got up and roared at Mieu, revealing the eggs she was nesting, and forcing Mieu back a little. "I don't speak monster. But I know a "get out" when I hear one." Diaz said to everyone, as Ion, Tear, Whina, and the Pokemon checked on Mieu. "Are you all right?" Ion asked Mieu. "Hey, runt, what did she say?" Luke asked Mieu, as Mieu got up.

"She says her eggs are just about to hatch, so go away." Mieu said to Luke. "Looks like Diaz was right. And that's very bad news." Whina said to everyone, as she, Ion, and Tear had surprised looks on their faces. "Her Highness is really mad that I accidentally burned their home." Mieu said to everyone.

"No surprise there." Diaz said to Mieu. "Eggs?! Ligers lay eggs?!" Luke asked everyone. "I was born from an egg, too. A lot of monsters are born from eggs." Mieu said to Luke. "Even Pokemon come from eggs. But how is her eggs hatching bad news?" Diaz asked everyone.

"It's bad because Ligers are more violent when they're guarding their eggs." Tear said to Diaz. "So what, do we come back later?" Luke asked everyone. "But if the ligers eggs hatch, the young will likely swarm the village in search of food." Ion said to everyone. "Huh?" Luke asked Ion. "That includes the people of the village." Whina said to Luke.

"WHAT!" Diaz said. "Liger young like human flesh, so people hunt down any near cities before they can reproduce." Tear said to everyone. "Could you ask them to leave this land?" Ion asked Mieu. "Y-yes, sir." Mieu said to Ion before talking to the queen. But the queen just roared, making rock fall from the ceiling. One of the rocks was going to hit Mieu, but Luke pulled Mieu out of the way.

"Th-thank you!" Mieu said to Luke. "Don't get me wrong. I wasn't protecting you. I was protecting Ion!" Luke said to Mieu, letting go of Mieu. (Ion was in no danger. You act mean, but you're not that bad of a guy are you?) Charcadet asked Luke. "Charcadet said you're not a bad guy." Mieu said to Luke. "Both of you shut up." Luke said to Mieu and Charcadet.

Then the queen started to walk towards everyone. "Mieu, can she understand me?" Diaz asked Mieu. "She can." Mieu said to Diaz. "Your majesty. Please listen to reason. If your eggs hatch here, the people of Engeve will come and hunt your kids down. I know Mieu made a mistake and ruined your home. But staying here will cost your family their future. So please leave." Diaz said to the liger queen. But the liger queen just roared at her.

"She says she's going to kill us and feed us to her children." Mieu said to everyone. "Diaz, we need our weapons!" Tear said to Diaz. "Fine." Diaz said, as he took off his backpack. "Luke's sword, Tear's spear." Diaz said, pulling out a sword and spear, and passing them to Luke and Tear. "How was all that in your tiny bag?" Whina asked Diaz.

"And here's all of Tear's knives." Diaz said, holding his backpack upside down, and a large pile of knives came out of his bag. With the scarlet and violet cases being dropped out as well.

"And how did you have all that in there!" Whina said to Diaz. "You should ask why she has so many knives." Diaz said to Whina,pointing to Tear, as Tear took all of her knives and put them away. "We can talk later. Here she comes… Fon Master, please step back with Mieu." Tear said to everyone, as she stepped forward.

"W-wiat… If we fight here, the eggs might break." Luke said to Tear. "It may be cruel, but that would probably be for the best. If we leave the eggs and they hatch, the young could easily wipe Engeve out entirely." Tear said to Luke. "Those eggs have done nothing wrong. It's not just cruel, it's wrong for us to destroy them." Diaz said to Tear. "Look out! The Queen!" Ion said, as the Queen lunged at them, before Tear could say anything.

(Mist!) Swablu said, letting out a cloud of mist. (Reflect!) Hoothoot said, making a glass barrier form in front of the liger queen, the mist made the liger queen crash into the barrier and stop.

Then the mist started to clear and Tear then lunged at the liger queen, but her attack did nothing and she jumped back. Then the queen turned and tried to slash Tear. (Look out.) Igglybuff said to Tear, pushing her out of the way.

"Thank you." Tear said to Igglybuff, as she held Igglybuff in her hands. 'So cute.' Tear thought, falling in love with Igglybuff. That's when the liger queen charged at Tear and Igglybuff (Stay back. Sing.) Igglybuff said, before singing a gentle sound, making the liger queen stop and sleepy.

However the liger queen let out a roar, making Igglybuff stop singing and waking the queen up. This also made some of the ceiling fall on them, making them scatter even more.

(She's too strong. We need to weaken her.) Hoothoot said to everyone. (I have an idea. Will-O-Wisp.) Charcadet said, as he started to make a few floating purple flames. Charcadet fired the flames at the liger queen. The flames hit the liger queen, and left burn marks on the liger queen's body, making the queen roar in pain. "That did something." Luke said, as he charged at the liger queen.

But the liger queen noticed Luke, and tried to swipe him with her claws. That's when Diaz lugged into Luke, making him and Luke dodged the liger queen's attack. "Miles use Giga Impact!" Diaz said to Miles, as he and Luke stood up.

(Right.) Miles said, letting out a massive amount of white energy. Miles then charged at the liger queen, and rammed his head into her side, dealing some major damage to the queen, and sending her flying into a wall. "Nice work Miles." Diaz said to Miles.

That's when the queen got up, and then let out a large roar. This roar made a lot of smaller ligers come running into the area. "Ion, stay behind me." Whina said to Ion, as she used her shield to block a liger's attack. (Let me help. Round.) Swablu said to Whina. (I'll use Round too.) Igglybuff said.

Swablu and Igglybuff then started to let out sound waves, with Swablu's soundwave was blue, and Igglybuff's soundwave was red. The soundwaves resonated, stunning the ligers.

But some of the ligers started power threw the soundwaves and attacked everyone. One of the ligers even tried to attack Ion from the back. (Protect.) Hoothoot said, forming a green bubble around himself and Ion, stopping the liger's attack.

Then a few ligers tried to attack Luke, with Luke swinging his sword around trying to keep them back, but the ligers weren't backing down, and pounced on him. (Fire Spin!) Charcadet said, reaching Luke first, and letting out a spiral of fire around him and Luke, burning the liger and knocking them back. "I didn't need your help." Luke said to Charcadet. (You're welcome.) Charcadet said to Luke, with an annoyed tune in his voice.

Diaz watched as everyone battled the ligers, and how it wasn't going well. That's when he noticed the violet and scarlet cases, and remembered the cloaked said that the cases had incredible power in it. Diaz then ran to the cases, and opened the violet case.

That's when he noticed a crazy violet belt in the case. The belt had a glowing yellow tire for a buckle, and 6 holsters on the right side of the belt. Next to the belt in the case were six silver metal handles with each one having a silver handguard with a button in the middle of the handguard, each handle being stick into a black fabric

"A belt?! This is the power that guy mentioned." Diaz said, before noticing a book on the top of the case. "At least he included a manual." Diaz said he pulled out the manual. But that's when a liger came up to Diaz, bit into the manual, and then ripped it with its fangs.

"Hey! I was going to read that!" Diaz said to the liger. That's when Miles came up and whipped his tail at the liger, forcing him back. (Diaz, focus!) Miles said to Diaz. "Right. Cover me with Protect while I figure out how this works." Diaz said to Miles, as he pulled the belt out of the case. (Right.) Miles said, making a green bubble around him and Diaz.

Diaz then put the belt on him. "Okay now how does this thing work?" Diaz asked, fidgeting with the belt now knowing what he was doing. Then by accident he turned the tire on it clockwise, making the tire glow purple. That's when Miles Protect turned off, and the tire sack he had on his throat glowed purple.

That's when a giant purple crystal tire popped out of Miles' throat and rolled around the area, hitting a few ligers and sending them flying. "Okay that's kinda cool." Diaz said, as the tired turned around and started to charge at him. "On second thought, it's not so cool." Diaz said, as he started to run, all with the crystal still chasing him.

Diaz was so focused on out running the tire, that he didn't notice he was running right into the liger queen. When he finally noticed the liger queen, he stopped, and that's when the tire hit Diaz, and caused the tire to fall apart. This let out a purple pulse of energy, and the crystals attached to Diaz's body.

"OUT OF THE ABYSS, LEAVING A TRAIL OF LIGHTING, CLEARING A PATH TO THE FUTURE. ABYSS RIDER; VIOLET IRON!" A techno voice said, from the belt, as the crystals broke apart, revealing Diaz in some kind of freaky violet armor.

His body had some kind of violet jumpsuit on, with violet iron armor over it, the armor had some flashing violet lights on it, a patch of silver armor on his chest, a iron tail, with a dark violet metal flap over it, silver iron gloves and shoes, on the upper part of his legs where some small oval shape thrusters with the exit vault facing up, two violet curved spikes on his shoulders like handlebars, his helmet was violet but had a black screen in the front, with digital blue eyes, on the side of the helmet was two radio antenna, and on left side of his belt was a silver handle with the silver handguard and button, on top of the handle was a violet gun barrel.

Everyone looked at him with a surprised look on their face, and stopped all of their attacks. But none more surprised then Diaz. "EEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHH!" Diaz yelled with his voice having a techno sound to it. "WHAT IS THIS!" Diaz said, looking at himself.

The liger queen got over her shock and attacked Diaz with her claws, slashing Diaz's chest. But her claws only made sparks, dealing very little damage, knocking Diaz back a little. "Huh? That didn't do much?" Diaz said, as he touched his chest. Then the liger queen tried to attack Diaz again.

But Diaz dodged the attack and punched the liger queen in the face, knocking the liger queen back, and stunning her. That's when the ligers roared at Diaz, and charged at him. But Diaz dodged and blocked all of their attacks with grace. Then Diaz punched and kicked a few of them, making the liger whimper as they were forced back.

"Impressive." Whina said. "Diaz stop playing around and kill them with your weapon!" Luke said to Diaz. "It's a blaster, and I'm not going to kill them. I don't even know how to use it." Diaz said to Luke, using his left hand to grab his blaster, and looked at it trying to figure out how it worked. Out of curiosity, he flicked his middle and ring finger, hitting the button.

This caused an electric bolt to be shot out of the barrel, hitting a liger, shocking the liger, and making it fall to the ground, groaning in pain. "Okay I can work with this." Diaz said, before battling the ligers.

Diaz kicked and punched a few of the ligers, and shot them in the side with his blaster. Everyone watched with amazement, as he took down the ligers. But the liger queen was not amazed, and got very angry.

That's when Diaz finished the ligers, and sent them flying back to the nest. That's when the liger queen lunged at Diaz. Diaz dodged the first attack, and fired a few shots into liger queen's side. But she hardly felt anything from the shots.

"Her hide's too tough. My blaster isn't working." Diaz said to everyone, as he dodged and blocked the lieger queen's attacks, and kicked and punched the liger queen a little.

Miles then looked at the case, and pulled out the metal handles, revealing that it had a keyshape crystal on the end of it, with one side was light blue and had a ice symbol on it and the other side dark blue and had a symbol of water on it, with a one edge of the key looked like icicles, and the other edge looked like a wave.

(Try this!) Miles said, throwing the handle to Diaz. Diaz caught it with his right hand, while dodging attacks. "What is this thing? Some kind of key dagger?" Diaz asked, right as the liger queen slashed him, hitting the right side of the belt, knocking Diaz back a bit, and causing a slot to pop out from his belt on the right side of the tire on an angle.

Diaz looked at the handle in his hand. "A key? I wonder?" Diaz said, as he put the handle into the slot, with the light blue side facing him. "ICE!" A techno voice said from the belt, and that's it. "Ice? That's it? A random word? I thought this would be something cool!" Diaz said, trying to pull the handle out of the slot, but having a hard time.

Then Diaz noticed the liger queen charging at him, and this caused him to flinch, making him hit the button. This caused the handle to pop out of the slot, minus the crystal, and made the tire spin clockwise, with the tire glowing light blue. This made Miles' tire sack glow light blue, and a giant light blue crystal tire popped out of Miles' throat and rolled right into the liger queen.

Then the tired started to roll towards Diaz. "Not again." Diaz said with a sigh, as his digital face had a sad look. That's when the tire hit him, and caused the tire to fall apart. This let out a light blue pulse of energy, and the crystals attached to Diaz's body.

"WATER AND COLD, TOGETHER BRINGS A WINTER WONDERLAND, LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN. IRON BUNDLE." A techno voice said, from the belt, as the crystals broke apart, revealing Diaz in new armor.

He still had his violet jumpsuit on, but now as covered in red armor, with patches of white armor around his chest, yellow metal pointy shoes, a blue belly button with a tiny amount of show in it, his arms where red flippers with fingers on the inside the flippers near the tip, his helmet looked the same, but the back was red, with the lower part of front still being a screen and the top part of the font being a white piece of iron that looked like hairy eyebrows with three points.

His left hand had his blaster, and in his right hand the handle gained a long metal barrel that was attacked to the lower part of the handle and his arm, the barrel has a nuzzle at the end of it and a dial on it's left back side, and on his back was a giant glass ball that had a large amount of snow in it, a line going around the middle of the glass ball a tube that went from the base of the glass ball to long barrel.

"HUH? WHY DO I LOOK LIKE SOME KIND OF ROBOT DELIBIRD!" Diaz asked, looking at himself. That's when the liger queen charged and hit Diaz, sending him flying back into a wall.

"Oh!" Diaz said, as he slid down the wall. Then he noticed the liger queen charging at him. Diaz then pointed his blaster at the liger queen, and started to hit the button, but instead of electricity, it was small bursts of water. And it wasn't doing much to the liger queen. But right before the liger queen reached and attacked DIaz, he jumped out of the way.

"Huh? Water? What happened to my electricity?" Diaz asked, as the liger queen charged at him again. Diaz looked at his other weapon. "Well I got this. So let's see what it can do." Diaz said, before hitting the button on his other weapon. This made a burst of cold shot out of the barrel, freezing a small part of the ground.

Diaz had an idea, and pressed and held the button, making a steady stream of a cold shot out of the barrel, freezing the ground. This ice made the queen trip and caused her to crash into a wall.

"Okay, not bad. I wonder." Diaz said, as he turned the dial. Then he pressed the button, causing a burst of cold air to come out of the barrel. Diaz looked at both his weapons and had an idea.

That's when the liger queen got up and charged at him. But Diaz started to run, as he ran, he held the button on his ice weapon, letting out a steady stream of cold air, and then from his blaster fired water bolts threw the cold air. This caused the water bolts to turn into ice balls. And they had a big effect on the liger queen, each ice ball leaving a brush on her, and it shattered against her body.

A few seconds of this, plus the burns from earlier started to take its toll on the liger queen, and she stopped chasing Daiz. "I'm starting to like this thing." Diaz said, touching his belt with both his hands. But by doing that he pushed in the slot on the right side of his belt.

This caused him to glow purple and turn back into his Violet Iron form, with the handle in his right hand, its crystal back on it. "What! What happened to my ice power?!" Diaz asked, looking at himself.

This is when the liger queen got her second wind and charged at Diaz. But this time, Miles pushed Diaz out of the way, right before the liger queen could get her fang into him.

(Diaz focus! We can worry about it later.) Miles said to Diaz. "Right. Mind if I come along for a ride?" Diaz asked Miles. (Thought you never asked?) Miles asked Diaz, kneeling down. Diaz then put the handle into one of the open slots on the right side of his belt, before getting onto Miles' back.

Once Diaz was on, Miles started to run around, letting Diaz get clear shots on the liger queen, and even if they were doing much, all the pain from all the attacks started to take their toll.

Miles and Diaz then stopped moving in front of the liger queen, with her eggs behind them. "Are you done yet?" Diaz asked the liger queen. The liger queen roared at them, before lunging at them.

"Separate!" Diaz said to Miles, before jumping off Miles back and into the air, at the same time he did that, he hit the tire on his belt making it spin clockwise. Miles then jumped to the right, making the liger queen crash into the ground.

Then Diaz came down feet first on the liger queen, with his feet glowing violet, and his thrusters turned on. Diaz then slammed into the liger queen's head, forcing the liger queen into the ground, before jumping off her head and landing in front of everyone, with his back facing the liger queen and Miles running up to him. That's when the liger queen exploded with a big bang.

When the smoke cleared, the eggs were okay, but the liger queen was in a large amount of pain, and looked really hurt, and her having a hard time breathing only showed how much pain she must have been feeling.

That's when all the ligers ran to the queen's side, very worried about her. But then the liger queen started to get up, slowly and weakly. She was growling at Diaz. "She said it's not over." Mieu said to everyone.

"It is over! You lost. Now take your kids and take your eggs, and leave this forest. I don't want to kill you or any of your kids. And I'm sorry about what happened to your home. But you and your family can't live here. So please leave and never come back." Diaz said to the liger queen. The liger queen roared at Diaz, and lunged at him one more time.

Then when some kind of lighting attacks came down, killing the liger queen, the ligers, and even killing the eggs. Everyone turns to see Jade standing by the entrance of the area. "Well I gotta say. I like the show, but the ending was kind of a let down." Jade said to everyone.

"You didn't have to kill them." Diaz said to Jade, putting his blaster on the left side of his belt. "Considering that even with that fancy suit of yours. You wouldn't kill them, and they show a real threat to everyone here. I think killing them was a must." Jade said to Diaz, making angry symbols appear on Diaz's helmet. "Interesting thing you're doing with your helmet there." Jade said to Diaz.

"Anise! Could I speak to you for a moment?" Jade said, as Anise came running up to Jade. "Yes, Colonel! Did you call me?" Anise asked Jade, with a loving voice. Jade then whispered to Anise. "Okay… understood. IN exchange, you have to keep a good eye on Ion!" Anise said to Jade, before running up to Whina.

"And we'll have a talk about you taking Ion on a trip without me." Anise said to Whina, acting tough. "You know I have no control over Ion, and instead of bossing him like you try to, I just keep an eye on him." Whina said to Anise. "Hey, remember who's in charge here." Anise said to Whina, before running out of the nest. "Yeah, Ion, not a con artist like you." Whina said to Anise, under her breath.

"This left a bad taste in my mouth." Luke said to everyone, as he sat down with Tear next to him. "Join the club." Diaz said to Luke. "You're both quite kind. Or perhaps just soft…" Tear said to Diaz and Luke. "And you're cold!" Luke said to Tear.

"Oh, dear. Lover's quarrel?" Jade asked Tear and Luke, as he walked up to them. "Shut up!" Luke said to Jade. "Colonel Curtiss… we don't have that sort of relationship." Tear said to Jade.

"I'm joking. And pleace, call me Jade. I'm not accustomed to being called by my family name." Jade said to Tear. That's when everyone else walked up to Jade. "Jade, I'm sorry for running off and doing this." Ion said to Jade. "It's unlike you to do something like this when you know it's strong." Jade said to Ion.

"Together with Yulia, the cheagles are the foundation of the order of Lorelei. I felt I had to take responsibility for any trouble they had caused." Ion said to Jade. "And that's why you used your powers? Didn't the doctor tell you not to?" Jade asked Ion. "I'm sorry." Ion said to Jade. "In his defense. He just used it once." Whina said to Jade. "But you two have involved civilians as well. Plus some strange monsters." Jade said to everyone.

"Hey, old man, he's apologizing, right? Give him a break." Luke said to Jade. "Oh. I expected you to complain about being dragged into this. I'm a bit surprised." Jade said to Luke. 'So am I.' Tear thought to herself. "For the record, he wasn't dragged into this. It's more like he dragged all of us into this. All because he's upset that the people of Engeve blamed him for the thefts." Diaz said to everyone.

"Well, we don't have much time, anyway. I'll stop the lecture at that." Jade said to everyone. "The letter arrived, didn't it?" Ion asked Jade. "yes. Now, let's go ahead and get out of this forest." Jade said to everyone.

That's when Mieu jumped onto Luke's head. "No. We have to report to the elder and Pokemon chief." Mieu said to Jade. "A cheagle speaking a human language? And what's a Pokemon?" Jade asked, as Luke took Mieu off his head, and started to step on Mieu.

"It's the power of the Sorcerer's Ring." Ion said to Jade, as Miles came up and bit into Luke's leg, freeing Mieu, and causing Luke to scream in pain, as he tried to shake Miles off him. "And this is a Pokemon." Whina said to Jade.

"Jade, could we stop by the cheagles' home?" Ion asked Jade. "It's on the way out of the forest." "All right. But please don't forget that we haven't much time." Jade said to Ion. "Luke, thank you for your help. Please join me for just a little longer." Ion asked Luke, as Luke finally got his leg free. "Well, I've come this far might as well." Luke said to Ion.

"Well then, once Diaz turns back to normal we can go." Tear said to everyone. "You make it sound like I know how to do that." Diaz said to Tear. "Do you not know how you turned into that?" Jade asked Diaz. "No. a liger ate the manual, and I was guessing during the entire fight." Diaz said to Jade.

"Well I'm sure we'll figure out how to get you out of that." Jade said to Diaz. "at least you don't have to go to the bath-." Luek said to Diaz, but was interrupted by Diaz putting his hands over Luke's mouth. "Don't say stuff like that." Diaz said to Luke, before they all started to leave.

Well everyone but Miles and Charcadet, they went back for the violet and scarlet case. (Hey Charcadet a little help?) Miles asked Charcadet, as he picked up the violet case. (Sure.) Charcadet said, as he grabbed the scarlet case.

After a bit, they all made it back to the tree, with the elder cheagle holding the ring again, and Mieu talking to the elder cheagle and Sceptile. While that was going on, Diaz tied up the violet and scarlet cases to Miles' saddle with a vine.

"It's quite amusing to watch monsters talk like this." Jade said to everyone. "They're so cute!" Tear said quietly. "Huh? You say something?" Luke asked Tear. "N-no." Tear said to Luke, embarrassed.

"Mieu told me what happened. You met with great danger on our behalf." The elder cheagle said to everyone. "I still say you set us up for that outcome." Diaz said to the elder cheagle. "But we are grateful that you have kept your promise even after 2000 years." The elder cheagle said to everyone. "Of course. Aiding the cheagles is part of Yulia's teaching." Ion said to the elder cheagle.

"But the original cause of all this was Mieu burning the ligers' home. So I will have Mieu atone for his mistake." The elder cheagle said to everyone. "What are you going to do?" Tear asked the elder cheagle. "I will exile Mieu from our tribe." The elder cheagle said to everyone.

"That's too cruel." Ion said to the elder cheagle. "Well he did get a lot of his people killed. He's lucky that exile is what he get's." Whina said to Ion. "I don't mean he'll be in exile forever. I hear that Master Luke saved Mieu's life. Cheagles do not forget their debts. Mieu will serve Master Luke for one cycle of a season." The elder cheagle said to everyone.

"A year stuck with Luke. Never mind. This is too cruel." Whina said to everyone. "Hey!" Luke said to Whina. "Hey, I'm not involved in this." Luke said to the elder cheagle. "You did save him from being crushed by a rock." Diaz said to Luke.

"Mieu insists upon accompanying you, Master Luke. I leave it up to you to decide what to do with him." The elder cheagle said to Luke. "Why not take him along?" Tear asked Luke. "I don't need a pet!" Luke said to Tear. "What about a friend that will tolerate that poor attitude of yours?" Whina asked Luke. "Shut up!" Luke said to Whina.

"Cheagles are the sacred beasts of the Order of Lorelei. I'm sure he'd be well received by your family." Ion said to Luke. "I don't think that's the problem." Diaz said to Ion. "Hmm, I guess I could give him to Guy and the others as a souvenir…" Luke said to everyone. "Guy? Seriously? Do you not know even your friend's name?" Diaz asked Luke.

"Of course I know it." Luke said to Diaz. "You don't even know his name." Diaz said to Luke, pointing at Mieu. "Of course I know that things' name. It's Thing." Luke said to Diaz, making a handprint appear on Diaz's digital face.

"I'll do my best to be useful, Master!" Mieu said to Luke. "You're so annoying…" Luke said to Mieu. "Well, it appears his report has ended. Let's leave the forest." Jade said to everyone. "Humph. Who died and made him boss?" Luke asked everyone. "Trust me you don't want to know." Whina said to Luke, as the elder cheagle gave Mieu the ring.

(Before you go I have something to give to you.) Sceptile said to everyone. "Sceptile said he has a gift for us." Mieu said to everyone. "A gift. Now we're talking. What is it?" Luke asked Sceptile.

(Charcadet goes with you. Igglybuff goes with that girl. Swablu goes with that girl. And Hoothoot goes with that boy.) Sceptile said to everyone, as he pointed to Luke, Tear, Whina, and Ion in that order. "Sceptile said Charcadet, Igglybuff, Swablu, and Hoothoot can leave with us." Mieu said to everyone.

("WHAT?") All but Diaz, Jade, and Miles asked. "Care to explain why they're coming with us?" Diaz asked Sceptile. (from what Mieu said, and if he's telling the truth, then you all have potential to be a good team. And with a Trainer. I'm sure you'll reach that level of team work.) Sceptile said to Mieu.

"He said we make a good team and we can be even better." Mieu said to everyone. "I guess they're coming." Diaz said to everyone. "Do you mind if they join us?" Ion asked Jade. "As long as we start moving I don't care if they join us." Jade said to Ion."Great. Now I have two pets." Luke said to everyone, as they started to leave. (I don't like this either.) Charcadet said to Luke.

After walking for a bit in silence, Diaz broke the silence. "So what names are you going to give your Pokemon?" Diaz asked everyone, but Jade. "Why would we do that?" Luke asked Diaz. "Well Sceptile said that he thinks we all could be a good team. And a good first step is giving them names. It makes them feel better." Diaz said to everyone.

(It's true, a name makes a Pokemon feel special, after all most people call us by our species name. It's not really a problem. But it makes us feel like we're one of a kind.) Miles said to everyone. "Miles agrees with Diaz." Mieu said to everyone.

"In that case. I'll name mine Jataayu. It means a divine bird." Ion said to everyone. (I like it. Jataayu. Sounds mighty.) Hoothoot, now Jataayu said. "He likes it." Mieu said to Ion. "Good to hear." Ion said to everyone.

(What are you going to name me?) Swablu asked Whina. "Swablu asked what you're thinking?" Mieu said to Whina. "Well my name means helper, a helpful and kind gril. What about Inesa, it means, she who is kind and innocent." Whina said to Swablue. (I love it. I love it. I love it.) Swablu, now Inesa said, flying around in excitement. "She loves it." Mieu said to Whina. "I figured." Whina said to Mieu.

"What kind of name do you want?" Tear asked Igglybuff. (I want a song kind of name? My kind are known for their singing.) Igglybuff said to Tear. "She wants a song name." Mieu said to Tear. "Then how about Liran?" Tear asked Igglybuff. (Liran? Not bad.) Igglybuff, now Liran, said to Tear. "She likes it." Mieu said to Tear. 'Yes.' Tear though, as Whina walked up to Tear.

"Tear, Liran means my joy, my song? Why did you name her that?" Whina asked Tear, whispering into her ear. "No reason. No reason at all." Tear said to Whina, not looking at Whina, hiding her blush.

"And you? What name will you give your Pokemon" Jade asked Luke. "I'm not naming this thing." Luke said to everyone. (Nor do I want a name from you. After all, you call Mieu "Thing". I can only imagine the mean and carless name you'd give me. And Mieu, don't translate that. Just say I don't want a name." Charcadet said to Luke and Mieu.

"He said he doesn't want a name." Mieu said to everyone. "That was a long way to say no. Are you sure he didn't say anything more?" Whina asked Mieu. Charcadet looked at Mieu, and Meiu understood what he was trying to say. "No, there isn't." Mieu said to Whina. "We can return to this talk later. We're running far behind schedule." Jade said to everyone, as he started to walk faster, making everyone else walk faster to catch up with Jade.

After a bit of more walking, they noticed Anise running to them. "Hey, isn't that your bodyguard?" Luke asked Ion. "Yes, that's Anise." Ion said to Luke, as Anise reached them. "Welcome back!" Anise said to everyone, as soldiers came running up to them, surrounding everyone.

"Greetings, Anise. What's the status of the Tartarus?" Jade asked Anise. "It's in front of the forest, just like you asked. You said to hurry, so we came as fast as we could!" Anise said to Jade. "Hey! What's going on?" Luke asked Jade. "Restain those three. Two of them are the ones who've been emitting the Seventh Fonons, and the other one has some kind of advanced weapon." Jade said to the soldiers.

Then the soldiers started to move towards Luke, Tear, and Diaz. "Jade! Don't do anything to hurt them…" Ion said to Jade, but was interrupted by the sounds of someone getting beat up. Jade and Ion turned to see Diaz sitting on top of a pile of groaning soldiers, with Anise looking at Diaz in shock.

"You know if you want something. You could just ask?" Diaz asked Jade. "Well given that you knocked out all the men Anise brought, and I don't want to fight you. I guess that leaves me no choice. May we please talk about important matters on the Tartarus?" Jade asked Diaz. "There, was that so hard?" Diaz asked Jade, before they all walked to the Tartarus.

TWISTED REALM.

Meanwhile in the Twisted Realm, The cloak figure and Eshu were looking at the board table, with Eshu adding a few pieces to the board. Those pieces were of Charcadet, Inesa, Liran, and Jataayu, Ion, Anise, Whina, Jade, and a handful of soldier pieces laying on the spot behind everyone.

"It looks like he's started to use the powers you gave him." Eshu said to the cloak figure, as the cloaked figure had Diaz's piece away from the board, and was painting it violet. "Yes. Pity the manual was destroyed." The cloak figure said to Eshu, as he finished painting Diaz's piece, and put it back on the board.

"We both know that manual was just an empty book." Eshu said to the cloak figure. "You know me too well, Eshu." The cloak figure said to Eshu, as he moved a piece that looked like Tartarus right next to everyone.

Then a piece of paper appeared in front of the cloak figure. The cloak figure read the paper. "Well, it looks like our boy is about to meet a lot of trouble." The cloak figure said, waving his hand, making a large number of monsters, a handful of white knights, and four black human pieces appeared on the board. "Let's see how he handles this." The cloak figure said, moving the monster, white knights, and black human pieces to the Tartarus.
