Chapter 3
Ride Off Into The Ship Of The Dead
After a bit of walking, they all entered the Tartarus. Once onboard, the Tartarus started to move, and everyone was in one of the ship's cabins to talk. With Diaz, Tear, Luke, Mieu, Charcadet, and Liran, sitting at a table, and Jade, Anise, Ion, Whina, Jataayu, and Inesa standing in front of the only door leading out of the room, and the violet and scarlet cases still on Miles.
"So what do you want to talk about?" Diaz asked Jade. "First. The Seventh Fonon hyperresonance came from the direction of the capital of Kimlasca-Lanvaldear and converged inside Malkuth territory near Tataroo Valley. Around the same time massive amounts of energy fell out of the sky, crashing all over the land." Jade said to everyone.
"Look, I don't know what you're blaming us for. But at the very least, the massive amounts of energy has nothing to do with us at least." Diaz said to Jade. "For you maybe. But I can blame the other two for something." Jade said to Diaz. "And that is?" Diaz asked Jade, as the screen on his face turned into a ? mark.
"Illegally crossing the border. If they were the two that were the course of the hyperresonance, that would make them guilty of illegally crossing the border into our country, wouldn't it?" Jade asked Diaz. "Jees, you're obnoxious." Luke said to Jade, making Anise laugh. "He called you obnoxious." Anise said to Jade. "I'm terribly hurt." Jade said to everyone.
"But moving on. Tear we already know you're with the Oracle Knights. But that about you two, Luke and Diaz? What's your full name?" Jade asked Luke and Diaz. "My name is Diaz Garcia. And I'm just a wanderer. Nothing more, nothing less." Diaz said to Jade.
"And you Luke?" Jade asked Luke. "Luke fon Fabre. I'm the Luke you idiots tried to kidnap." Luke said to Jade, surprising Ion, Anise, and Whina. "The son of Duke Fabre who married into Kimlascan royal family?" Jade asked Luke. "A Duke? Ohhhh…" Anise said, like the fact that Luke was a son of a duke. This made Whina snort at Anise.
"Why are you in Malkuth? And what's this a kidnapping? That doesn't sound very pleasant." Jade asked Luke. "We're here only because our Seventh Fonons caused a hyperresonance. It wasn't an act of aggression against Malkuth by House Fabre." Tear said to Jade.
"Colonel, I believe Tear is telling the truth. I don't feel any hostility from him." Ion said to Jade. "That may be because he's a moron." Diaz said to everyone. "Hey!" Luke said to Diaz. "Yes. it does seem he's lived a sheltered life, completely ignorant of the world outside." Jade said to everyone.
"Humph. Fine, make fun of me." Luke said to Jade. "Actually, why don't we ask for their help?" Ion asked Jade. "Help with what?" Diaz asked Ion. "We're headed for Kimlasca under orders from His Majesty, Peony the Ninth, Emperor of Malkuth." Jade said to everyone. "To declare war…?" Tear asked Jade. "Wiat, what? Are you saying a war's gonna start?!" Luke asked Jade.
"I'm sure you'd love that, but no." Whina said to Luke. "You've got it backwards, Luke! We're trying to prevent a war from breaking out." Anise said to Luke. "Anise, that's not public information." Jade said to Anise. "Trying to prevent a war…? Are relations between Kimlasca and Malkuth really that bad?" Luke asked everyone.
"I think you're the only one who doesn't know." Tear said to Luke. "I don't either. But I'm not from this world so I have no idea how things work. But I don't know what stupid excuse Luke has." Diaz said to everyone. 'You know, you're both obnoxious, too." Luke said to Tear and Diaz.
"We're going to release you now. I'll grant you permission to enter any area you wish, apart from those containing military secrets." Jade said to everyone, surprising Tear and Luke. "And you're doing this, why?" Diaz asked Jade.
"First, learn a little about us. Then if you feel you can trust us, we'd like to ask your help. So that we might prevent this war." Jade said to everyone. "If you want us to help you, why don't you just tell us what's going on?" Luke asked Jade.
"If we were to explain and then you decided not to cooperate with us, we would be forced to hold you captive." Jade said to Luke. "What?" Luke asked Jade. "This matter is a state secret. That's why I'm urging you to make up your mind first. I hope we have your understanding." Jade said to Luke, before leaving the room.
"I'm sure they'll tell you the details after you agree to help. I'll be waiting." Ion said to Luke, before leaving the room, with Whina, Inesa, and Jataayu following him, and closing the door behind them. "Luke, I'd so love to go places with you." Anise said to Luke. (Why do I have a bad feeling with you.) Miles said to Anise.
"Why don't we take a walk around the ship? I think even you'll start to get an idea of what's going on in the world." Tear said to Luke. "Let's go exploring, Master." Mieu said to Luke. "Beats sitting around here." Diaz said to Luke, making Luke sigh. That's when Luke, Diaz, Tear, Charcadet, Inesa, and Mieu started to leave the room, but were stopped by Anise.
"Hey, Luke! I can show you around if you like!" Anise said to Luke. But then Anise then looked at both Tear and Luke. "Um… Maybe I would just get in the way…" Anise said to everyone. "Not at all. We'd appreciate it." Tear said to Anise, smiling. "Wow, so you do actually smile on occasion." Luke said to Tear. "Excuse me?" Tear asked Luke, getting mad.
"Oh! Please don't fight. Come on, Luke! Let's go!" Anise said to everyone, before pulling Luke out of the room. The other looked at each other for a few seconds before going after Luke and Anise.
Outside the room, they found Luke staring at a stone tablet in the ceiling. "Huh? What's that?" Luke asked everyone. "It's a fonstone. They're making it glow by heating it. They must use it for lighting here." Tear said to Luke.
"Fonstones are those glass rocks floating up in the sky, right?" Luke asked Tear. "Fonstones are sacred stones created when the Score is read. Don't call them "glass"." Tear said to Luke. "But they do look like glass rocks." Diaz said to Tear. "Don't call them glass." Tear said to Diaz. "All right, all right…" Luke said to Tear, before they all started to walk.
That's when they reached the back and found Ion, Whina, Jade, Jataayu, and Inesa. They walked up to Ion, Whina, Jataayu, and Inesa first. "I'm sorry for getting you involved in this." Ion said to Luke. "No kidding. If you'd at least tell me what's going on…" Luke said to Ion, but was interpreted by Diaz hitting the back of Luke's head. "Can't you be nice for once in your life?" Diaz asked Luke.
"But can you please tell us what's going on?" Diaz asked Ion. "I'm afraid I'm influencing the situation as well. That's why Jade is being so cautious." Ion said to Diaz. "Because the Order of Lorelei is acting as a go-between?" Luke asked Ion. "Yes, that's part of it, but…" Ion said to Luke, but Whina interrupted him.
"Ion. Jade would be upset if you told him anymore." Whina said to Ion. "Right. I'm afraid I can't tell you yet." Ion said to everyone. "Ugh. This is such a pain." Luke said, before walking away. "Sorry about him." Diaz said to Ion and Whina, before everyone went after Luke.
That's when they walked up to Jade, and he noticed them. "Well, well, Luke. A lovely lady on each arm?" Jade asked Luke, making Anise feel great, and embarrassed Tear. "Oh, Colonel…" Anise said to Jade. "I… I'm not… We're not…" Tear said to Jade.
"He's not talking about you. He must mean Anise and Mieu." Luke said to Tear, annoying Tear a little. "But master, I'm a boy!" Mieu said to Luke. "You sure as hell don't sound like one!" Luke said to Mieu.
"Now, now, settle down. By the way, what's this about a "kidnapping" you mentioned earlier?" Jade asked Luke. "How should I know? You people from Malkuth are the one who kidnapped me!" Luke said to Jade. "Well, I'm afraid I don't know anything about it. Did it happen during the previous Emperor's reign?" Jade asked Luke.
"Humph. Beasts me. Thanks to that, I lost all my childhood memories." Luke said to Jade. "I'm sure you have your grievances, but I do hope that we can obtain your cooperation." Jade said to Luke.
After a bit of walking around, everyone was back in the room. "Okay Jade, care to tell us everything now?" Diaz asked Jade. "Small, localized conflicts have broken out recently. It's likely those will soon escalate into full-scale war. After all, the truce for the Hod War is only 15 years old." Jade said to everyone.
"Emperor Peony has written a letter proposing a formal peace treaty. They requested my aid as a neutral ambassador." Ion said to everyone. "If that's the case, then why do people think you've gone missing? Master Van went looking for you, you know!" Luke said to Ion.
"That's due to matters within the Order of Lorelei." Ion said to Luke. "A conflict is unfolding between the reformist Fon Master faction, centered around Ion, and the conservative Grand Maestro faction, centered around Grand Maestro Mohs." Jade said to Luke.
"Mohs is looking for a war. I managed to escape from Mohs' custody with the help of the Malkuth Military." Ion said to everyone. "It's possible that he or his faction started this rumor of Ion missing, in order to stop our message of peace." Whina said to everyone.
"Fon Master Ion! There must be some mistake. Grand Maestro Mohs would never desire such a thing. Mohs prays only for the fulfillment of the Score." Tear said to Ion. "Tear, You're with the Grand Maestro faction? No way…" Anise said to Tear. "I'm neutral. Yulia's Score is important but so are the Fon Master's wishes." Tear said to Anise.
"Then you should know that whenever we brought up all the fighting with Mohs, Mohs didn't care. That's why the order is split in two. Our side who wants to stop a war, and Mohs side, who doesn't care if a war is about to break out." Whina said to Tear.
"Hey, guys! Hello! You want to slow down so I can follow?" Luke asked everyone. "Are they using too many big words for you or are you not paying attention? Because I'm following? And basically, they said a war may be on the way, and they're order is being torn up about how to handle it." Diaz
"Now don't be mean, Diaz. Don't forget the young master here hasn't a clue about the world around him." Jade said to Diaz. "What did you say?" Luke asked Jade. "He's saying you're a moron." Diaz said to Luke. "Like you know anything they're talking about!" Luke said to Diaz. "Yes, but I just got here, so I have no idea about many things on this planet. What's your excuse? And don't give me that kidnapped excuse. That was seven years ago, and even if they treated you with a lot of care, you should have some common sense by now." Diaz said to Luke.
"Can we please get back on topic?" Whina asked everyone. "Regardless of the state of affairs within the Order, I must deliver this letter to Kimlasca." Ion said to everyone. "But we're the soldiers of an enemy nation. Even as emissaries of peace, it won't be easy for us to cross the border. If we delay, the Grand Maestro faction will catch up with us and interfere. That is why we need your help… Well, really we just need your social status." Jade said to Luke.
"Oh, I'm hurt, gramps. Is that all I'm good for?" Luke asked Jade. "Given your lack of common sense, manners, and rotten personality. Probably." Diaz said to Luke. "Shut up." Luke said to Diaz.
"And didn't anyone ever teach you to bow your head in respect when asking someone for a favor?" Luke asked Jade. "Don't act like that, Luke. You don't want a war, either, do you?" Tear asked Luke. "I won't pass him. He is a Fabre, his family rank is a reward from war." Whina said to everyone.
"Would you all shut up already? Well?" Luke asked everyone, and asked Jade. Jade sighed. "Commander!" A soldier said, as Jade kneeled to Luke. "Master Luke, please grant us your aid." Jade asked Luke. "Man, do you have any pride?" Luke asked Jade.
"None so cheap as to be shaken by something as petty as this, sir." Jade said to Luke. "Tch. Fine, whatever. You just need me to talk to my uncle, right?" Luke asked Jade, as Jade stood up.
"You have my deepest gratitude. Now by your leave, Master Luke, I must attend to other matters." Jade said to Luke. "Stop calling me "Master". Coming from you, it's just… wrong." Luke said to Jade. "As you wish, "Master" Luke." Jade said to Luke, before leaving the room.
After that everyone walked around for a bit, with Ion, Whina, Jataayu, and Inesa leaving the group, and before the rest of them ran into Jade. "Yes? Do you need something?" Jade asked them. But before they could say anything, an alarm started to sound. "Are we under attack?" Tear asked everyone. "Oh, no! Luke, what should we do?!" Anise asked Luke, as she hugged him.
Jade then turned to a communication pipe, Luke pushed Ainse off him. "Bridge! What's going on?" Jade asked. "A large flock of griffins 20 kilometers ahead! Total number unknown! Contact in approximately 10 minutes! Commander, requesting permission to open fire with all cannons." A man said over the ship speakers. "You're the captain. The ship is yours." Jade said to the man, threw the pipe.
"Understood, sir! Large sarms of monsters 20 kilometers ahead. All hands, battle stations! Repeat! All hands, battle stations!" The man said over the ship's speakers. "You four, return to your cabin." Jade said to Luke, Tear, Diaz, and Anise. "Huh? It's just some monsters." Luke said to Jade.
"Griffins don't normally work in groups. It's dangerous when monsters act unusually." Tear said to Luke, as the ship rocked. "It seems very dangerous at the moment." Diaz said to everyone. "What's wrong?" Jade asked threw the pipe. "Ligers are dropping from the griffins! They're clinging to the hull and attacking! Engineering is- Uaaah!" The man said over the speaker, before getting killed.
"Bridge! Respond! Bridge!" Jade said to the pipe. "Ligers are those monsters we killed at the chegles' place, right?" Luke asked everyone. "Yes…" Mieu said to Luke. "You're kidding! There's a whole horde of those things here?!" Luke said to everyone.
"Maybe we should focus on the fact that two completely different creatures are working together." Diaz said to Luke. "He's right. This is not a good thing." Tear said to everyone. "We're dead if we stay on this ship! Let me off of this thing!" Luke said to everyone, before running away.
"Stop! It's dangerous to go outside now!" Tear said to Luke, as she and Diaz went after Luke. But that's when Luke was tossed back to them, and two men in white armor stood in front of everyone.
Behind the knights was a large man with spiky gray hair that looked like a lion's mane, tan skin, blue eyes, wearing black robes with red lines on it, and fabric around his shoulders that added to the lion's mane look of his hair. In his hands, was a large circle curved scythe, with a spear tip end.
"That's right." the big man said to everyone. "Master." Mieu said to Luke. Then Jade fired a steam of energy at the men. The energy hit the three men, taking out the two men in white. But the big man was able to throw it back at Jade, making Luke move to the side of the wall to dodge it.
Diaz then pulled Luke back, making the big man miss Luke. The big man then started to swing his weapon at Diaz, but Diaz dodged them. Then during one of the swings, Diaz grabbed the weapon, and used it to lift himself up and kick the big man in the jaw, forcing the big man back a little
"Impressive. But it's time for you to calm down. Now." The big man said to everyone, as he rubbed his jaw, before noticing Jade. "Colonel Jade Curtiss, Commander of the Third Division of the Malkuth Imperial forces… Or maybe just, "Jade the Necromancer"." The big man said to Jade.
"Jade the Necromancer…!" You?!" Tear asked Jade. "Well, well. It seems I'm famous." Jade said to everyone. "I don't think it's a good thing when you're called a Necromancer." Diaz said to everyone. "Rumors have spread far and wide- How you scavenge corpses after every battle." The big man said to Jade. "See." Diaz said to Jade.
"Oh, but my stories have nothing on yours, sir. "Large the Black Lion." One of the Six God-Generals of the Oracle Knights." Jade said to the big man. "Heh… I've been waiting for a chance to cross blades with you, but, unfortunately, right now I must retrieve Fon Master Ion." Largo said to Jade.
"I'm afraid I can't allow that." Jade said to Large. "Jade the Necromancer… Letting you go now will only mean trouble later." Largo said to Jade. "Do you think you can kill me by yourself?" Jade asked Largo. "If I seal your fonic artes." Largo said to Jade, before pulling out a small box, and throwing it.
The box opened above Jade, and an energy dome appeared around Jade coming from the box. "A fon slot seal?!" Tear said. "I brought that here to seal the Fon Master's fonic artes. I didn't expect to wind up using it like this." Largo said to everyone.
That's when Diaz pulled out his blaster and shot the box, breaking it. "How dare you!" Largo said to Diaz, charging at Diaz. Diaz fired a few shots at Largo trying to stop him. But Largo used his scythe to block Diaz's shots. But by doing so, Jade was able to make a spear form out of thin air, and lunged at Largo.
This made Largo stop his attack and dodged Jade's attacks. "Mieu! Fifth Fonon at the ceiling! Hurry!" Jade said to Mieu. "Y-yes, sir!" Mieu said to Jade, before firing a burst of fire into the stone on the ceiling. Largo noticed the fire, and looked at the ceiling. That's when the stone on the ceiling became a flashbang, blaining Largo.
"Now! Anise! Get Ion and Whina!" Jade said to Ansie. "I'm on it!" Anise said to Jade, as she ran past everyone. "I trust you know where to meet!" Jade asked Anise, as she ran past him. "Don't worry!" Anise said to Jade, before leaving.
"Oh, no you don't!" Largo said to Anise. But then Tear casts a spell to make Largo feel weak. That's when Jade charged at ramming his spear into Largo's chest, with Luke getting a good look. "H-he stabbed him…" Luke said to everyone. "Was that really necessary?" Diaz asked Jade.
"You do know he was trying to kill us?" Jade asked Diaz. "I know that. But killing him isn't going to make things better." Diaz said to Jade. "Neither is them taking this ship. Anise will take care of Ion and Whina. We'll take back the bridge." Jade said to Diaz. "But your artes are sealed…" Tear said to Jade.
"Indeed. It's likely to take several months to fully undo this fon slot seal. But as long as we have your hymns, Diaz's armor, the Pokemon, and Luke's sword, we can still take back the Tartarus." Jade said to everyone. "All right. Luke, let's go." Tear said to Luke.
That's when everyone noticed Luke was staring at Largo's body. "Luke!" Tear said to Luke, getting Luke's attention. "Right." Luke said, as they started to walk. "Luke, are you okay?" Diaz asked Luke. "I'm fine. I'm fine." Luke said to Diaz.
After a bit of sneaking around, they made it to a door above the bridge. Their Tear sang a song, causing the one guard standing guard to fall to sleep. "He's out like a light." Luke said to everyone, as he, Mieu, and Charcadet looked at the unconscious guard. "Tear, you're amazing!" Mieu said to Tear. (Yes. You have quite the voice.) Liran said to Tear.
"Who even are these guys?" Diaz asked, looking at the guard. "They're Oracle Knights. They're the Knights that work for the Order of Lorelei." Jade said to Diaz. "You mean these are Ion's forces?" Diaz asked Jade. "No, Ion does not have much control over the Oracle Knights. But I'd imagine they're here to stop him and to bring him back." Jade said to Diaz.
"Now let's take back the Tartarus. Tear, If you'd assist me." Jade said to everyone and asked Tear. "Right." Tear said to Jade. "Hey, what do I do?" Luke asked Tear, as Jade entered the bridge with Liran following him. "I think he means, what about the rest of us?" Diaz asked Tear. "You all stand watch here." Tear said to everyone, before closing the door behind her.
"Humph. More like "stay out of the way"." Luke said to everyone. "And "babysit the moron"." Diaz said to everyone. "How come that attack made him fall asleep, anyway?" Luke asked everyone. "How should I know?" Diaz asked Luke. "Tear's fonic Hymns use the Seventh Fonon!" Mieu said to everyone.
"Here we go again. What the heck is a "Seventh Fonon"?" Luke asked Mieu. "You don't know? It's the seventh known fonon. It's the fonon of sound. It was just discovered. The Score is made up of the Seventh Fonon, too. It's really special!" Mieu said to Luke. "The what?" Diaz asked Mieu, but Luke grabbed Mieu and started to spin Mieu.
"Gaaah, Your voice drives me up the wall!" Luke said to Mieu, spinning Mieu. "Sorryyyyyyyy!" Mieu said to Luke as he spun "Luke, stop that!" Diaz said to Luke. (Let Mieu go!) Miles said to Luke, before lunging at Luke. This caused Miles and Luke to start a fight, dragging Mieu, Diaz, and Charcadet into their fight, making a dust cloud.
During the fight, Diaz's blaster was sent flying, hitting the guard on the head. This made everyone freeze, the dust cleared out, and with them all in awkward poses. Diaz was head locking Luke, Mieu was in Luke's hands, Luke standing on Miles with his right leg, with Miles biting Luke's left leg, and Charcadet holding onto Miles' tail.
That's when everyone separated. "Damn, that scared the hell out of me. Go back to sleep!" Luke said to the guard, kicking him. This woke the man up and attacked them. "Wh-whoa, he got up…" Luke said to everyone. "You kicked him. That is generally what happens to someone when they're asleep." Diaz said to Luke. "Die!" The man said to everyone.
And in a second he charged at Luke. Luke pulled out his sword, and blocked the attack, but was forced to the ground, making Luke yell. The guard was about to strike Luke. Diaz and Miles then lunged at Luke to help him, with Miles glowing white from Giga Impact, and Charcadet firing a small burst of fire from Ember.
"D-d-d-don't come any closer!" Luke said, as in a panic, he rammed his sword into the guards gut, killing the guard. The guard then fell to the floor, as the burst of fire missed them, and Luke froze, staring at the guard's dead body with wide eyes. This made the Pokemon stop their attacks, and move to Luke.
"Luke! Luke! Luke snap out of it!" Diaz said to Luke, shaking Luke. That's when the burst of fire hit a sail and started a fire. "Do you think anyone noticed?" Diaz asked everyone. That's when the alarm started to sound, and a sprinkler system turned on. (Probably not.) Miles said to Diaz.
That's when they noticed a lot of monsters and Oracle Knight charging at them. "Miles keep Luke, Mieu, and Charcadet safe, I'll handle this." Diaz said to Miles, as he grabbed his blaster. (And how do you plan to do that?) Miles asked Diaz. "I'll figure something out. Maybe." Diaz said to Miles, as the enemy forces reached them, with some of the Oracle Knight getting their first.
Diaz dodged the first attacks, firing a few shots at a couple of the Oracle Knights. Then an Oracle Knight tried to ram his sword into Diaz. but Diaz dodged and elbowed the Oracle Knight in the helmet, forcing the Oracle Knight back.
Then Diaz did a jump kick into an Oracle Knight chest, making the Oracle Knight crash into a few of the other Oracle Knight, as Diaz landed on the deck with his back on the deck. Then a few Oracle Knights brought their weapons down on Diaz. but Diaz rolled out the way, and started to spin on his head, kicking all of Oracle Knight in the head. Diaz then got up and started to punch a few of the Oracle Knight, with him blasting a few others that were out of range of his punches.
That's when some monsters started to fly in, and some ligers came running up. This made Diaz jump back, Diaz fired a few shots at the monsters, but had little effect. (Diaz, try the Ignition Key.) Miles said to Diaz. "Miles said use the Ignition Key." Mieu said to Diaz. "Ignition Key? You mean this thing?" Diaz asked Miles, taking the metal handle out of its holster. Miles nodded yes.
"Well, we'll work on the name later, but let's do it. I'm going to clear the way to the future!" Diaz said, as he put the Ignition Key into the slot, with the dark blue side facing him. "WATER!" A techno voice said from the belt. Diaz then hit the button This caused the handle to pop out of the slot, minus the crystal, and made the tire spin clockwise, with the tire glowing dark blue. This made Miles' tire sack glow dark blue, and a giant dark blue crystal tire popped out of Miles' throat.
The tired started to jump around, hitting a few of the monsters that were flying, and even slammed into a few of the Oracle Knights. Then the tire started to head towards Diaz. "You know I really gotta come up with something to say when it hits me." Diaz said, before the tire hit him and caused the tire to fall apart. This let out a dark blue pulse of energy, and the crystals attached to Diaz's body.
"IRON BUNDLE." A techno voice said, from the belt, as the crystals broke apart, revealing Diaz his Iron Bundle form. "Bundle up. It's about to get chilly." Diaz said to the Oracle Knight, try to sound tough. (Lame.) Miles said to Diaz. "Miles said that "lame"." Mieu said to Diaz. "We'll talk later." Diaz said to Miles, before he started to fight, switching the dial to cold air.
Diaz then let out a steam of cold air, then fire water shots threw the cold air, turning the water shots into ice balls. The ice balls hit a few Oracle Knights, taking them out. Then a few of the flying monsters flew down at Diaz. but Diaz fired a burst of cold air at the monsters, causing frost to appear on them. Diaz then tucked and rolled forward, dodging the monster, before it crashed into the deck.
Then the Oracle Knights and ligers charged at Diaz. Diaz charged the dial to a freezing beam, and fired a steady stream of a cold, causing ice to form on the deck. With the Oracle Knight wearing armor shoes, it was easy for them to trip, and caused all Oracle Knights to fall to the ground, and even took the Ligers down with them.
"You know I'm starting to like this." Diaz said, as he touched his belt, making the tire on his belt spin clockwise, with Miles noticing the tire moving. That's when the giant glass ball moved from his back to the back of his blaster, and the baster flipped, to the barrel was facing him and the glass ball was facing everyone
"Huh? What did I do?" Diaz asked. Miles then had an idea. (Diaz tried spinning the tire on your belt.) Miles said to Diaz. "Try spinning your tire." Mieu said to Diaz. "Spinning my tire? I don't know what that will do, but okay?" Diaz said, as he started to spin his tire clockwise.
This caused a massive amount of snow to be made in the glass ball. "All that did was make more snow. What am I going to do with this!" Diaz asked Miles, pointing the glass ball at the Oracle Knights and monsters. (I don't know? Push the button?) Miles said to Diaz. "Miles said "push the button"." Mieu said to Diaz.
"Fine, but if this blows up in my face, I'm blaming you both." Diaz said to Mile and Mieu, as he put his blaster on his left hip, and placed his left hand on the barrel, supporting it. Then Diaz pressed the button, and the glass ball popped open, and a blizzard came bursting out of it.
The blizzard hit all of the Oracle Knights and monsters. When the blizzard stopped, all the Oracle Knights and ligers were covered in snow, shivering, and also they were partly frozen to the deck. "Okay that went better than I thought." Diaz said to everyone. "Who… Who… Are… You…" An Oracle Knight asked Diaz, shivering. "You can call me Violet Iron; The Abyss Riders." Diaz said to the Oracle Knight, as the door opened.
"What happened?!" Tear asked, as she, Jade, and Liran ran out of the door and onto the deck. "What happened, I fought everyone attacking this ship by myself!" Diaz said to Tear, as the giant glass ball moved back onto his body. "This is bad… The commotion has caused the fonic hymn to weaken." Jade said to everyone. "I… I stabbed him… I killed him…" Luke said, breaking his silence.
"If you're scared of killing, then throw away your sword, you worthless reject!" A voice said to Luke. that's when ice shards came crashing down, knocking out Luke, Tear, Miles, Charcadet, and Liran. But Jade was able to dodge the ice, and Diaz was still standing after getting hit.
That's when a man in black armor, with a black tabard with red lines on it over, with long clean red hair. But Diaz couldn't get a good look at the man's face.
"And you're as hard to kill as they say, Necromancer. And this armor man is tougher than he looks." The man said to Jade and Diaz. That's when a few of the white warriors came up, helping the one shivering, and a couple pointing their weapons at Luke, Tear, Miles, Charcadet, and Liran."Captain, what shall we do with them?" An Oracle Knight asked the man. "Kill them." the man said to the Oracle Knights.
That's when a woman showed up. The woman had messy blonde hair tied into a ponytail, blue eyes, white skin, wearing a black dress that stop at her lower legs with a white collar, and a tie in that collar, legs that go all the way up, boots with heels, and a red scarf that was wrapped around her upper arms and goes across her back.
"Asch. Have you forgotten your orders? Or have you just decided to ignore them?" The woman said to the man. "Fine. Restrain them and lock them in a cabin somewhere!" Asch said to everyone, before leaving.
Then the woman walked up to Diaz, with a few of the warriors pointing their weapons at him. "As for you. I must say that battle was impressive." The woman said to Diaz. "Glad you enjoyed the show…" Diaz said to the woman. "Legretta. My name is Legretta." the woman said to Diaz.
"Legretta. And since you enjoyed the show so much. Care to tell me why you attacked this ship?" Diaz asked Legretta. "You can not. But I would like to ask you to join us." Legretta said to Diaz. "You can't be serious. You attack this ship, kill a bunch of people, and threatening my… I was going to say friends, but we're not there yet, and threaten my Pokemon. What makes you think I'd join you?" Diaz asked Legretta.
"So that's a no?" Legretta asked Diaz. "Of course it's a no!" Diaz said to Legretta. "Very well, I guess we'll take your power by force." Legretta said to Diaz, pulling out to pistols with wavy blades attached to the end of the handle. Legretta then knocked Diaz out, by hitting the sides of his head with the blades on her pistols.
Some time later, Tear, Jade, Luke, Liran, Miles, Charcadet, and Mieu were in a large cell, with the violet and scarlet cases gone. That last one to walk up was Luke. "Luke!" Tear said to Luke ,trying to wake Luke up.
That's when Luke woke up. "Thank goodness. You were moaning in your sleep." Tear said to Luke. "Where am I…" Luke asked. "In a cabin, onboard the Tartarus." Jade said to Luke. "That's right… Monsters attacked, and then…" Luke said, before remembering he killed someone. 'I… I killed someone?!' Luke thought, freaking out.
"What happened while I was gone?" A female voice asked. That's when Luke noticed Whina, Inesa, and Jataayu sitting in the other corner of the room. "Whina, what happened with Ion?" Tear asked Whina. "We got overrun, Anise was thrown out a window, and captured me, Inesa, and Jataayu. They said they'll kill us, if Ion doesn't listen to them." Whina said to Tar.
"All right, we need to get out of here and rescue Ion." Jade said to everyone. "Easier said than done. Last I saw, Ion was taken off the ship." Whina said to Jade. "From what we overheard the Oracle Knights saying, it sounds like they'll be returning to the Tartarus. We'll ambush them and rescue him then." Jade said to everyone.
"W-wait! If you do that, there'll be more fighting!" Luke said to everyone. "Yes, what about it?" Tear asked Luke. "We might end up killing people again!" Luke said to Tear, as he stood up. "That can't be helped." Tear said to Luke, surprising Luke. "I can be helped. Killing, no matter the reason, is not okay." Whina said to Tear.
"They'll kill us if we don't kill them first." Tear said to Whina. "Wh-what are you saying?! We're talking about human lives!" Luke said to Tear. "Yes. Human life is a valuable thing. But if we sit here and do nothing, a war will start, and even more people will die." Jade said to everyone.
"Right now, this is our battlefield. There's no good or evil here. Just life or death." Tear said to everyone, making Luke go silent. "That doesn't mean it's okay for you to just write someone off as easy as you make it sound." Whina said to Tear. "There's danger even in normal life. One could be attacked by monsters or bandits… those who lack strength do things like hire mercenaries, band together, and travel by coach. Those with strength to fight, do. Sometimes even children. They do what they must in order to survive." Tear said to Whina.
"You mean physical strength right. Because it's easy to kill someone, in fear or hatred, it's easy to see the person in front of you as a monster, and cutting them down is justified by wanting to live. It takes inner strength to spare the lives of your enemies, to see the enemy as a fellow man, with family, with friends, and the sadness you cause by killing them." Whina said to Tear.
"None of this got nothing to do with me! I didn't know anything about that, and I didn't come here because I wanted to!" Luke said to everyone. (He has a point. He goes from a life in a room to this madness. It's a lot to process.) Miles said to everyone. "Miles said "it's a lot to process" for master." Mieu said to everyone.
"Astonishing. What kind of environment must one grow up in to be this ignorant of this situation?" Jade asked Luke. "Ever since the Malkuth attempted to kidnap him, he's been forbidden to leave his manor for his own safety." Tear said to Jade. "I see… then I suppose it's natural for him not to know anything about the world." Jade said to everyone.
"I can't help it! I don't have memories of my childhood! I don't know anything!" Luke said to everyone. (But you lost them seven years ago. Even if you never get them back, you still should have put some effort into learning about what's going on around you. But instead you use your lost memories as a crutch so you don't have to learn anything.) Miles said to Luke.

If you're not willing to fight, You're only going to be a burden." Tear said to Luke. "I didn't say I wouldn't fight! I just don't want to kill anyone." Luke said to Tear.
"It's the same thing. Right now, fighting means fighting against the human beings who took the Tartarus. If you don't want to kill the enemy, then stay hidden behind Whina." Tear said to Luke. "I'm just saying, let's not fight any more than we have to. I don't want to die either." Luke said to Tear. "It's not like I…! It's not like I'm killing people because I want to." Tear said to Luke.
"Then at least have some compassion in your voice. You sound like you could care less about killing someone." Whina said to Tear. "SO, you're going to fight? I'll be counting on you as part of our force." Jade said to Luke. "I said, I will." Luke said to Jade. "Good." Jade said to Luke.
"But let's be subtle. Subtlety is key to saving Ion. so let's avoid fights as best we can." Whina said to everyone. "Subtlety isn't what I had in mind." Jade said to Whina, before using a small spell to break out of the cell. Jade them moved to
"By my name as Necromancer, heed my command. Initiate emergency plan, "Corpse Hunt"." Jade said into one of the ship's pipes. This caused the ship to shut down. "Jade what did you just do?" Whina asked Jade.
"It's an emergency shutdown system I set up in advance. It should take them some time to recover." Jade said to everyone. "Wow…" Luke said to Jade. "Where should we head from here?" Tear asked Jade. "Go to the port hatch. During an emergency shutdown, that's the only one that will open. The Oracle Knights holding Ion should try to enter from there as well." Jade said to everyone.
"But they took away our weapons." Luke said to Jade. "They're probably still nearby. Let's look for them." Tear said to everyone, before they started to walk. And in the next room, they found a box with their weapons. "Wow, they didn't take them very far. And they aren't even guarding them." Luke said to everyone.
"I imagine they were guarding them, originally. Right now, they're probably busy trying to revive the Tartarus." Jade said to everyone. "Given how it was in the room right next to ours, and this mess started a couple minutes ago, I don't think they were guadring." Whina said to everyone. "Let's go." Tear said, as she passed out the weapons.
(What about Diaz?) Miles asked everyone. "Miles is worried about Diaz." Mieu said to everyone. "Ion comes first. With any luck Diaz got out on his own, if not, then we'll save him. Now follow me." Jade said to everyone.
A few minutes ago, in a closet, Diaz's arms were chained to the ceiling, and he was dangling in the air. His weapons were on the floor, but his ice blaster was still attached to the container on his back. Diaz noticed the violet and scarlet cases on a shelf.
And that's when he noticed a little girl looking at him, the girl had white skin, red eyes, and long red hair. The girl was wearing a black dress, with the dress having a small frill skirt, boots that covered her legs, sleeves covering all but her shoulder, a small black hat, and in her hands was a creepy doll.
"Okay. This is weird." Diaz said to everyone. "Silence murderer." The girl said to Diaz. "Murderer! I'm insulted! I've never killed anything!" Diaz said to the girl. "You killed mommy." The girl said to Diaz. "What's your name?" Diaz asked the girl. "Ariette." The girl said to Diaz.
"Look Ariette, it's against my beliefs to kill anything. So I didn't kill your mommy!" Diaz said to Ariette. "But you did. You killed mommy." Ariette said to Diaz. "Who's your mommy?" Diaz asked Ariette. "Like I'll tell you, murdered." Ariette said to Diaz.
"By my name as Necromancer, heed my command. Initiate emergency plan, "Corpse Hunt"." Jade voice said over the ship's speakers. That's when the ship shut down. Ariette then turned to a pipe. "Wh-what happened?" Arietta asked, talking into the pipe. "Power systems down! Controls down! The Tartarus is completely inoperable!" A man said to Ariette. "What's going on?" Ariette said, as she took the violet and scarlet cases, and left the room.
Diaz then tried to get loose, and looked at the slot on the side of his belt. 'Wait. I have an idea.' Diaz thought, as he started to grab the tube of his blaster with his foot, getting his blaster off the floor. Diaz then tossed the end of the blaster to his right hand. Diaz then started to hit his belt with the tube of the blaster, and after multiple hits, he hit the slot, closing it. This caused Diaz to turn back into his Violet Iron form, freeing him from the chain.
Diaz placed a hand on the right side of his hip. 'Well that worked. But man did that hurt. Now let's find Ariette and get my stuff back.' Diaz thought, as he picked up his left hand blaster, put his ignition key in its holster, and left the room, looking for Ariette.
While walking around, Diaz bumped into Jade, Luke, Tear, Whina, Miles, Charcadet, Liran, Inesa, and Jataayu in front of a door. (Diaz you're okay.) Miles said to Diaz. "Miles is happy to see you." Mieu said to Diaz. "Glad to see you too. Sorry I got myself free, before you can save me." Diaz said to everyone.
"We weren't planning to save you. We're actually on our way to this room when we ran into you." Jade said to Diaz, tapping his glasses so Diaz couldn't see his eyes. This made Diaz fall to the floor in surprise. "You know what. You didn't need to tell me that." Diaz said to Jade, as he got up. "Well now that you're here, care to help us save Ion." Jade asked Diaz, before opening the door next to him.
Jade then led everyone into the room. "Ah, here we are. We'll find our something fun in the back, behind these boxes." Jade said to everyone. "So, we just need to move these boxes, then?" Tear asked Jade, before trying to push boxes.
"That's right. By the way, Luke, I can't say I think much of you forcing a woman to do the heavy lifting." Jade said to Luke. "I'm fine, Colonel." Tear said to Jade. "Or do rich aristocratic boys lack any muscles?... And here I thought even your brain was made of muscle." Jade said to Luke, sighing in the middle of his sentence.
"What did you say?!" Luke asked Jade. Luke then moved Tear out of the way, and started to move the boxes. "Wait a minute. You and Diaz are guys, too. You help out." Luke said to Jade and Diaz.
"No, I'd rather not. You're younger than I am, after all. At my age, all my joints ache…" Jade said to Luke. "Fine, whatever. Out of the way. I'll do it." Luke said to everyone. "Th-thanks…" Tear said to Luke, blushing a little. "Why are you blushing?" Whina asked Tear.
"You can do it, Master!" Mieu said to Luke. "I thought I told you to shut up!" Luke said to Mieu, as she started to move some boxes around. "Do you think he knows Jade tricked him into doing the work for him?" Diaz asked Miles. (Probably not.) Miles said to Diaz.
A few minutes later they made it to the back of the room, and found a very dangerous looking box. "Here it is." Jade said to everyone. "This is your "Something fun"?" Luke asked Jade. "Colonel, is that gunpowder?" Tear asked Jade.
"Gunpowder?! Why is THAT here?" Luke asked Jade. "Care to explain?" Diaz asked Jade. "A group of soldiers aboard the ship had been pilfering supplies to sell on their own. I discovered that they'd been hiding gunpowder here. Though this commotion has made my investigation pointless." Jade said to everyone.
"I see. So we're going to ignite this and destroy the wall." Tear said to everyone. "Are you serious? You sure that's going to be okay?" Luke asked Jade. "We'll be fine as long as we're not caught in the explosion. Now, let's hurry." Jade said to everyone. "Do we light it with a fonic arte?" Tear asked Jade.
"No, we light it with Mieu. You're on, Mieu!" Jade said to everyone. "Yes, sir!" Mieu said to Jade, before getting ready to shoot fire. "Whoa! Wait a-." Luke said, but was interrupted by Mieu spitting fire, and causing the box to explode, blowing a hole in the wall.
"Jeez! You could've waited half a second!" Luke said to Mieu. "Mieuuu. I'm sorry, Master." Mieu said to Luke. "No, that was perfect, Mieu. Now, let us be going." Jade said to everyone. "R-right…" Luke said to jade.
'How can those people and Pokemon watch an explosion go off right in their faces? I swear, they're not human or anything natural.' Luke thought, looking at everyone, as the other started to move through the hole.
This hole led everyone to the outside of the ship. They traveled outside the ship, before going back into the ship, reaching the halfway the port hatch was on. "It looks like we made it in time. There they are." Jade said to everyone, as he noticed Ion, Legretta, and an Oracle Knight walking up to the ship.
"Have they realized the Tartarus did an emergency shutdown?" Luke asked Jade. "I'd be rather surprised if they haven't. More importantly, we can't use fonic artes. There's no time for casting." Jade said to everyone.
"It's not like you can use any decent fonic artes, anyway, with that fon slot seal." Luke said to Jade. "How can you say things like that? The Colonel's been working hard to undo the fon slot seal." Tear said to Luke. "I don't mind. It's the truth." Jade said to tear. "Well he can be less rude about it." Diaz said to Jade.
"Open the emergency hatch." Legretta said to the Oracle Knight. "Right away." The Oracle Knight said to Legretta. The Oracle knight then pressed a button on the side of the ship, making some stairs pop out of the ship, and walked up the stairs. That's when the Oracle Knight opened the door, and was met with a wick smiling Luke, with Mieu and Charcadet in his hands.
"Fire! Now!" Luke said to Mieu and Charcadet, holding them up to the Oracle Knights face. (You could ask nicely. Ember!) Charcadet said to Luke, as he and Mieu fired a burst of fire right into the Oracle Knight's face, forcing the Oracle Knight to slide down the steps.
Legretta then tried to shoot everyone, but Diaz was quicker to the draw, and fired bolts of electricity at her, making Legretta go on the defensive. This gave Jade an opening to jump over Legretta, and throw his spear at her.
Legretta dodged the attack, but only to be met with Jade pointing his spear at her neck from the direction she was dodging. "Jade Curtiss… You're a force to be reckoned with, even with your fonic artes sealed." Legretta said to Jade. "That's quite a compliment. I; honored. Now, throw down your weapons." Jade said to Legretta.
Legretta dropped her pistols. That's when the Oracle Knight got up and dropped his weapon, holding his hand surrendering to everyone. That's when Luke used Mieu and Charcadet to bet the Oracle Knight to the ground. (Owh! You didn't have to use me like that!) Charcadet said to Luke.
"Tear! Your fonic hymn!" Jade said to Tear. "Tear? Tear Grants!" Legretta asked, turning to see Tear standing on the stairs, with Liran next to tear, Diaz, Whina, Miles, Inesa, and Jataayu on the ground in front of the stairs. "Major Legretta!" Tear said to Legretta.
But that's when Tear got zapped, and everyone noticed a big ligar on the stairs. That's when Legretta did some fancy footwork, kicking jade away, and grabbing her pistols. Ion ran to everyone, but Legretta stopped him. Then Legretta fired some shots at everyone, but Whina used her shield to block the shots.
That's when Arietta appeared at Legretta's side in front of Ion, without the violet and scarlet cases, and the Oracle Knight picked up his weapon, and pointed it at Luke. with Luke holding Meiu and Charcadet hands while his arms were up, surrendering himself, Mieu and Charcadet were also holding up their hands in surrender. "Master, we're surrounded…" Mieu said to Luke.
That's when Diaz came up, slammed the base of his blaster into the Oracle Knight;s helmet, making it ring, and knocking the Oracle Knight out. "Don't count us out yet Mieu." Diz said to Mieu, as he aimed his blaster at Legretta and Arietta.
"Arietta! What happened to the Tartarus?" Legretta asked Arietta. "It's still inoperable… I was only able to get this far because my friend tore open the wall." Arietta said to Legretta. "Good Work. Restrain them and-." Legretta said to Arietta, but stopped talking when everything went black, like someone turned off the lights.
"Huh? What's going on?" Luke asked everyone. (Oh no, not him.) Miles said to everyone. "Come on Miles, don't be like that." Diaz said to Miles. That's when three spot lights appeared on something.
The things looked like a human size pale green fur cat standing on two dark green ur legs, paw hands with a pink plum and black claws, a small fluff tail, a pink flower like collar, red eyes, with a dark green mask with three diamond shapes on it, with two of the diamonds over its eyes, and a scarf around his neck that went down its back, with the inside of the scarf looking like a green leaf, and the back of the scarf is black, and floating behind it was four leaves attached to a single point.
"Teudus. Glad you made it." Diaz said to Teudus. "You know that cat thing?" Luke asked Diaz. "Of course. He's one of my Pokemon." Diaz said to Luke, as his face turned into words, with an outline of the Teudus on his face as well. Luke then started to read it out loud.

Text/With skillful misdirection, it rigs foes with pollen-packed flower bombs. Meowscarda set off bombs before its foes realize what's going on.
(Ladies, gentlemen, Pokemon, and beast. This stage isn't big enough for two cats. So watch as I send his oversized kitten flying. Tada.) Teudus said, with a fancy male voice, before snapping his fingers.
That's when a spotlight appeared on Ariette liger. That's when everyone noticed a few green balls with pick flowers under the liger. The liger looked at the green balls in confusion, before the balls exploded with a pollen pulse. The explosion caused the liger to fly back up and onto the stairs, before rolling down the stairs, making everyone jump away from the stairs, as the liger crashed into the ground, groaning in pain.
Under the cover of darkness from Teudus' Flower Trick, Guy came jumping off the ship, hit Legretta, knocking Legretta's weapon away, and grabbing Ion, before running to the others. Legretta grabbed one of her pistols and fired a shot at Guy, but Guy blocked the shot with his sword.
"Enter the amazing Guy!" Guy said to everyone, as the darkness faded away. (Oh come on! This guy is stealing my spotlight! And what's with you Diaz. what with that armor?) Teudus said to everyone and asked Diaz. "I'll explain later. But nice work with the liger." Diaz said to Teudus, giving Teudus and high five.
"You bully. First my Mommy and now my friend. I'm going to make you pay." Ariette said to everyone, as she pulled out a scarlet belt, the belt had what looked like a black tire with small black spikes on the rim of the tire, and in 6 holsters on the left side of the belt.
"That looks like my belt. Wait a minute!? That is mine!" Diaz said to Ariette. "Yes it is. And I'm going to use it to make you pay for what you did to Mommy." Ariette said to Diaz, as she put the belt on. But once it was on, the belt let out a surge of scarlet energy. This caused Ariette to fall to their hands and knees.
"Ariette what's wrong?" Legretta asked Ariette, moving to Areitte's side. That's when Ariette looked up at Legretta, her eyes glowing scarlet, and scarlet veins on her face. Ariette then roared like an animal, and lunged at Legretta, biting into her arm like she was trying to rip it off. "ARIETTE! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU!" Legretta asked Ariette, as she tried to get Ariette off her.
"Quick, let's get out of here." Jade said to everyone. "Not without my belt." Diaz said to Jade, as he walked up to Ariette. But Jade grabbed Diaz's back, and started to pull him, as everyone started to run away.
After running for a bit, Jade stopped everyone, and let go of Diaz. "Ariette going wild for a bit will keep them distracted." Jade said to everyone. "Whew. Thank goodness. Good timing, Guy!" Luke said to Guy. (What about me? Was my timing not perfect?) Teudus asked everyone. "Your timing was perfect." Diaz said to Teudus. "Who do you know he was talking about his timing?" Mieu asked Diaz. "He's a show off. So I know he would be upset if this guy took his spotlight." Diaz said to Mieu.
"So you do know my name." Guy said to Diaz. "You're serious. Your name is Guy? What kind of name is that?" Diaz asked Guy. "A great name." Guy said to Diaz.
"But Guy, what are you doing here?" Luke asked Guy. "I looked all over for you. Never thought you'd turn up in a place like this!" Guy said to Luke. "By the way, Ion, where's Anise? Whina said something about a window." Jade asked Ion.
"The enemy stole the emperor's letter. Anise went to get it back, but a monster knocked her out of a porthole. But I heard soldiers say that they couldn't find the body, so I'm hoping she's all right…" Ion said to Jade. "Knowing her. I'm sure she's alive. Complaining a lot, but alive." Whina said to everyone.
"Then let's head for Saint Binah. That's our rendezvous point with Anise." Jade said to everyone. "Saint Binah?" Luke asked Jade. "It's a city to the southeast of here." Ion said to Luke. "Okay. We just need to make it there, right?" Luke asked everyone. "What about your troops? They're still inside this ship, right?" Guy asked Jade.
"I can't imagine there being any survivors. If they left any witnesses, it would lead to war between the Order of Lorelei and Malkuth." Jade said to Guy. "How many people were onboard?" Luke asked Jade. "This was a top secret mission, so only half the usual number- around 140." Jade said to Luke.
"Over a hundred people were killed." Guy said to everyone. "That's both wrong and sick. What kind of crazy people does the Order of Lorelei have in their ranks?" Diaz asked everyone. "You know me, Ion, and Tear work for the Order of Lorelei." Whina said to Diaz.
"So does all those crazy people in black that killed 140 people." Diaz said to Whina. "Okay enough. Let's get going. If we get caught here, the war that follows will claim the lives of many more." Tear said to everyone, before they started to move again.
TWISTED REALM.
Meanwhile in the Twisted Realm, The cloak figure and Eshu were looking at the board table, with Eshu adding Teudus piece to the board. "Well this is not good." Eshu said to The cloak figure. "He may have lost his stuff, but don't worry Eshu. The Ignition Keys will find his wave back to him." The cloak figure said to Eshu.
"But what about the Scarlet Driver? They have it." Eshu said to the cloak figure. "The Violet and Scarlet Driver only works with Diaz's biology. "Maybe. But remember, without someone who's exactly like Diaz in biology, all the Scarlet Diver offers is savage furry. Something Diaz with the Violet Driver can beat." The cloak figure said to Eshu. "I hope you're right about that." Eshu said to The cloak figure.
