The kids and their Digimon are still falling from the cliff.
"Sora!" Biyomon calls out.
"Izzy!" Tentomon calls out.
"TK!" Patamon calls out.
The three Digimon fly down to desperately grab a hold of their human, and try to keep them in the air, but the combined weight was too much and they all drop. Palmon, holding tight to Mimi whips out her vines, clinging to a rock that's out of the cliff's face, but the rock comes loose and follows them as they fall. Gomamon and Joe hit the water first.
"Fish net!" Gomamon shouts.
Hundreds of fish surface around Gomamon and swim together, forming a floating raft which Joe rises from and the others land on.
"Wow. This is some ride." Tai said.
"What?" Matt asked, looking around. "Hey, look out!"
Far above them, Kuwagamon falls from the cliff from also, taking a large part of the rocky edge. The kids scream as the boulders and the large Digimon fall towards them.
"Look out!" Gomamon yells.
The fish raft moves faster, and the monster beetle along with the boulders hit the water behind them. The impact sends a huge wave and the kids along with their Digimon hang on, screaming.
The raft soon come up to a beech, at last safe.
"I knew we'd be ok. I wasn't worried." Matt said.
"Well, what was that? A floating fish market?" Joe asked.
"Lucky for us, those fish were having a school reunion." Gomamon joked, then laughed. "I'm kidding. Those fish are good friends of mine, and I just asked them for a lift."
"And all these years I thought was allergic to seafood." Joe adjusted his glasses as he looked at Gomamon. "Thank you! Uh, I guess it's not Bukamon?" He asked.
"Gomamon now. Personally, I prefer the sea, but I can walk on dry land, and I command a squad of fishes to attack my opponents."
"Gomamon, hmm." Joe hummed.
"And I guess that you're not Tokomon, are you?" TK asked his Digimon.
"Mmm! Now I'm Patamon. I maybe cute, but don't let my appearance fool you. My Boom Bubble attack packs quite a wallop."
"It's all because we Digivolved." Agumon said.
"I don't think that word's in my dictionary." Tai said.
"So Digivolving is what happens when they advance to the next level and become more powerful then before." Izzy states, looking the Digimon.
"Right!" Tentomon said. "All of us Digivolved. I went from Motimon to Tentomon. I'm the beetle with a mean buzz. My Super Shocker attack is quite a shock."
"I Digivolved from Yokomom to Biyomon. If you try to pluck my feather off, I'll give such a good pecking. Or I'll just blast you with my Spiral Twister."
"First, I was Tsumomon, then Gabumon. You're never gonna see me without my fur. I blast my enemies with my Blue Blaster attack."
"I went from Gigimon to Gulimon. You don't want to run into me at night, I can barbecue you with my Pyro Sphere."
"I changed from Tenemon to Palmon." Palmon points at herself. "I may look like a flower, but don't be fooled by my appearance. I can grab my enemies with my Poison Ivy attack."
"And me. I was Koromon. I Digivolved into Agumon. My claws are strong to break rocks into little pebbles. If you want to have a real hot foot, then I'll oblige you with my Pepper Breath. Now that's a spicy meatball!"
"Mmm hummm." Tai hummed. "When you Digivolved, you certainly got way bigger. Does this mean you're something different now, or are you still Digimon?" He asked.
"Digimon. But I needed your help Tai." Agumon said, leaving Tai confused.
"Me? For what?"
"You see, Digivolving is a very difficult process. In order to be successful, I had to share your energy." Agumon explained.
"I guess you guys don't have to run on batteries." Sora replied.
"Sure don't." Biyomon said.
"But how do you access my energy?" Izzy asks, looking at Tentomon.
"Even we don't know everything."
"Thanks for my magical power!" Palmon said with a twirl.
"The whole thing makes my head spiny." Mimi complained.
"So, I help you change!" TK said cheerfully as he looked at Patamon. "That's so cool!"
"Yep, sure do."
"My folks warned me about strangers." Joe comments.
"I'm not a stranger anymore Joe. I'm your friend for life!" Gomamon said.
"Hm." Joe looked at him.
Matt looked around. "Ok, come on! What are we going to do now?" He asked.
"If only there was a payphone nearby." Meiko said.
"I like that!" Joe cried. "We could the police, or the fire department or my mother."
"But we don't even know where we are!" Tai argued.
"But we know where we started." Sora points. "Up there on that mountain!"
"I say we forget about going back and explore around here." Matt suggested, making Joe shake his head.
"I'm not exploring anywhere." He said. "I say we stay right where we are."
Matt rolled his eyes. "Yeah, let's wait for that giant bug to come get us. We need to find a road leading someplace to get away from here!"
"Matt's right." Izzy agreed. "But without a compass, we don't even know which way is north."
"Wait, I do." Tentomon told him.
"Well, which way is it?" Izzy asked.
"It's the opposite of south."
Izzy groaned hanging his head.
"I shouldn't wear these pants." Joe suddenly said. "They ride up when I do a lot of walking."
"Then it's wedgie control for you." Meiko told him, making him panic.
"You know, if we could get back to where we were before, we might at least find some kind of clues as to why we're here in this place." Sora comments, looking at the mountain that they'd fallen from.
"Wait. Are there more monsters around like that big flying beetle?" Mimi questions.
"Yes indeedy!" Palmon said.
"Ick!" Mimi blanched.
"Those monsters don't scare me." Matt said, puffing out his chest.
Tai rolled his eyes and turned to Agumon. "Are there humans?" He asks.
"Humans? Like you?" Agumon asks, making Tai nod. "You're the first ever. There's never been anything but Digimon."
"So, ok, you are all Digimon." Tai tried to think. "But what about those other monsters, they're all Digimon, too?"
"It's creepy, and it's dangerous. And what happens when it gets dark?" Sora asked.
Meiko winced. "I don't wanna know!" She cried.
"Don't worry Meiko, I'll protect you!" Guilmon said.
"Who says it ever gets dark?" Matt asked.
"The phenomenon would be unnatural." Izzy replied.
Joe threw his arm out. "And you call this natural?" He asks Izzy.
"Well, we're not gonna find out anything by sitting around here." Tai decided. He starts walking in a direction in the direction of the cliff, with Agumen following.
"Where do you think you're going?" Matt questioned.
Tai pauses and turns to him. "Up on that cliff. That's where I saw the ocean." He answered, leaving everyone shocked.
"The ocean?" Matt gasped.
"Yep. There might be a boat or something." Tai turns back around to start walking again. Meiko ran after Tai with Guilmon running after her.
Matt watched her. "Let's water ski home." He sarcastically said, grabbing TK's hand and started to pull his brother, soon the others minus Joe started to follow Tai.
"At a time like this, I think we'd be better off just to find a cave to hide in." Joe said. "We keep our eyes open, and when a camp counselor comes."-
"Hey Joe!" Gomamon shouts, and Joe opens his eyes to see everyone leaving. "Everybody's leaving us!"
"Wait for me!" Joe cried, quickly running after everyone.

As everyone walked, the kids looked around in the strange forest.
"These trees are beautiful." Sora smiles, looking up at all the trees.
"Yeah, they're really different, and I just thought they were subtropical." Izzy added.
"Whatever they are, they're aggravating my hey fever." Joe said, starting to sound a little stuffed up.
"Hey Joe, is there anything you don't complain about?" Matt asked.
"Digital monsters." Izzy began. "Exactly who came up with that name anyway?"
"Just call us Digimon, we like that." Tentomon told him.
"I only ask, because your composition isn't all machine like."
"Oh, really?" Tentomon asked, then starts sparking up, making Izzy yelp.
"Hey, watch it!"
"So, Patamon, can you really fly?" TK asks.
"Of course." Patamon answered, lifting his wings and starts to flap, but ends up flying backwards.
"Wow, that's cool, but you're going the wrong way."
"I'm faster then that!" Biyomon as as she comes up to them. "Watch!" But like Patamon, she started to fly backwards.
"Wouldn't it be faster to walk?" Sora asked.
"Palmon, who does your hair?" Mimi asks.
"It's natural." Palmon answered. "I wake up in the morning like this."
"Wow, maybe you can let me work with it!" A giddy Mimi exclaimed.
"Once I get back, this is gonna make one great story, yep." Tai said. "But of course, not a single should will ever believe me."
"That Kuwagamon back there, he was huge." Izzy said.
"And he's not the only one." Tentomon added.
Gabumon suddenly stopped and sniffed the air. "Aw, nothing like the ocean." He said as Gomamon is swimming in the river.
"Ha ha! Everybody in the water!"
"Hey, let's build a giant sand castle!" TK exclaimed.
"Oh, I forgot my bathing suit!" Mimi whined.
Suddenly a telephone is heard ringing.
"Am I the only one who hears that?" Meiko asks, frowning.
Tai frowned as he looked at her, then listened. "A phone!" He gasped.
"Either that or we're all hearing things." Sora said as the group trudged on, and the ringing grew louder. Finally a line of phone booths appeared.
"We're saved!" Meiko cried with excitement.
"You bet we are!" Joe cried. He and Meiko soon race towards the booths. But once there, the ringing stopped and the others soon joined.
"Why'd it stop ringing, Tai?" Agumen asked.
Tai shrugged. "Wrong number?" He guessed.
"Well, that's bizarre." Sora stats.
"My theory is aliens." Izzy said. "They've set these phone booths out as a trap."
Meiko shivered and jumping onto Tai's shoulder's, making him stumble around before falling and Meiko fell on top him.
"Stop it with the alien stuff!" Meiko cried. "Especially since we're don't know where here is!"
The genius rubbed the back of his head, a sweat drop on his head. "Sorry."
Both Guilmon and Agumen helped Meiko up.
"Tai, are you ok?" Meiko asked with worry. "I'm so sorry!"
"I'm ok." He assured her with a smile.
"If we could find a place that delivers, let's order a pizza." Matt said.
"Now I'm craving for pizza." Meiko said.
"Whatever you get, no anchovies for me." Mimi states.
"The question is. What are these doing here at the beach?" Sora asked.
"So people can call their parents for a ride home." Joe answered simply.
"Parents? What exactly is a parents?" Gomamon asked, he and the other Digimon stare at the kids.
The kids look at their Digimon, and an awkward silence filled the air for a long moment. Until Joe broke it.
"That's it, I'm gotta here."
Tai walked up to the first booth and grabbed the phone. "Does anyone have loose change?" He asks.
"Why?" Izzy asked confused.
"Obviously I'm gonna make a phone call to get some help." Tai answered.
"Ah! Use my phone card." Izzy dug into his pocket and pulled out a card, giving it to Tai. "The aliens can bill me later. Here."
"Maybe there's a quarter in one of the slots." TK said, moving to the other booth.
"I'm calling daddy!" Mimi followed TK's lead.
"I'm hooking up to the internet." Izzy replied.
"I'm calling collect!" Matt moved to TK's booth.
"Dibs on booth 4!" Sora cheerfully called.
Meiko moved to stand next to Tai.
"Hey, guys! Wait for me!" Joe cried.
Tai tried to call home and waited. "Hello? Mom, it's me!"
"At the tone, the time will be exactly 42 miles per hour and 90 seconds." The operator said.
Tai moved the phone from his ear to look at it. "Something's wrong, or mom's flipped."
"Tomorrow's forecast calls for clear skies with occasional ice cream." The operator told Mimi.
"What do you wear for that?" She asked.
"I'm telling you, it's a twisted alien joke." Izzy said, as Tentomon buzzed and hovered next to him.
"Why don't you try that one over there?" The Digimon suggests as he points to the next booth over.
"I don't think it's any better." Biyomon replied.
"What planet did I dial?" Matt asked, looking at the phone in his hand.
"I think it's clear that these phones are out of order." Meiko said as Tai hung up the phone and sighed.
"Yeah." He snorted with a laugh. "On a comet."
The others walked over to Tai and Meiko.
"We're no better then we started." Matt grumped.
"I'm going to guess, none of you had any luck either." Tai states the obvious question.
"Your guess is correct Tai." Izzy nods. "If only it would be easy to do."
"Great, it's over!" Meiko cried, she moved to the beach area. "We're all dead!" As she walked, she tried to not let the others see her tears.
"Aw, Meiko!" Guilmon ran after her. "It'll be ok." She watched as Meiko sat down in the sand.
TK ran over to her. "Yeah. I'm scared too." He admits as he sits on his knees in front of her. "But I have my big brother with me!" He tried to be cheerful.
She gave him a small smile.
Tai plopped down next to her, and she blushed. "Don't worry, we're all going to get home." He reassured her gently. "Alive and well."
"Thanks." She again weakly smiled, she looked back at TK. "Both of you."
TK smiled brightly at her.
They all watched as Joe tried and failed to call home.
"Very curious." Izzy said as Joe moved from booth to booth. "Does Joe always behave like this?"
"Every single day." Tai answered.
"No matter what number or how many times he dials, those phones aren't gonna work." Matt replied, sitting and stretching his long legs out in front of him as he leaned back on his hands.
Tai stood up. "Well, I'm gonna keep searching for a boat or something." He starts to move again.
"Hey, wait a minute!" Matt exclaimed and. Tai turns to him. "Even though we can't call out of here, there's always a chance someone else might be able to call us."
"It's a waste of time doing nothing but sitting here." Tai told him.
"I'm going to stay here for a little while and see if anyone calls." Matt said. "Besides, everyone could use a little rest." His comment had Tai look around and saw how exhausted they looked.
"And I'm getting pretty hungry." Izzy admitted.
"You know why?" Tai asked, realizing. "Because we haven't eaten anything all day!" He turns to the group. "Ok, break time, everybody!"
Sora sighs happily. "Does anyone have any food?" She asks. "I think the only thing I have is … huh?" She moved her hand and it moved over her Digivice. "It's that gadget that fell out of the sky at camp." She moved it to look at it.
"I forgot about all about those weird gizmos!" Tai exclaimed, taking his in his hand to look at it.
"If anybody's got a pink one, I'll trade!" Mimi said, looking at hers.
"Why do we have these?" Meiko asks, looking at her own.
"We wouldn't have them if they weren't important." Matt points out.
"If I could take mine apart." Izzy started, til his stomach growled, causing embarrassment. "That is after I get something to eat." He said blushing with his hand on his stomach. "I'm really famished."
"Well, the only thing I've got is my emergency supplies. It's got a first-aid kit, some bandages and some medicine, but that's all I got." Sora said after digging into her jeans.
"All I have are bandaids and pepperments." Meiko pulled out a small handful from her pocket.
Izzy opened his laptop. "I have my trusty laptop and a digital camera. Oh, and I've got a small cellphone too." He said as Tai looked at Izzy's supplies. "Of course, not one of them worked since we got here."
"I can't believe you dragged all that computer stuff to summer camp." Tai comments.
Izzy turns to him. "And what do you have?"
"Uh, let's see." Tai dug into his shorts pocket. "There's my mini-telescope." He showed it off.
"Sorry." Matt shrugged. "I don't have anything to eat either."
"Well, this is depressing." Meiko complained. "What are we suppose to do now? Look for bananas and blackberries?"
TK, who was still sitting next to her, suddenly smiled. "Hey, look what I got!" He set his backpack down and opened it, causing his older brother to look at him. "Check it out." TK reveals the contents, which are junk food.
"Wow, look at all the goodies!" Mimi exclaimed. "Why don't you be a good boy and share those with dear sweet Mimi."
"Aw, you don't have to be nice, Mimi." TK smiled, reaching into his backpack. "I'm happy to share." He gives Meiko a bag of fruit snacks. "I'm happy to share."
"I'm so hungry I could eat a horse." Tai said.
"I'd settle for a small cow." Izzy said.
"Sounds good to me." Meiko nods.
"Mimi. What do you have in that big bag of yours?" Sora asks the girl in pink. "Some hairbrushes and makeup?"
"Uh, well, let's see." Mimi dug through her bag and took out the contents. "Here's a compass, cooking fuel, flashlight, one of those knives with all the things and other stuff." She lists, while everyone stares in amazement.
"Why didn't you tell us you had a compass back when we needed one?" Matt asked.
"I thought it might be kind of fun to see how far we could get without one. Besides, it's broken."
"Well, so much for finding our way out of here." Tai said with a sigh.
"Although, we could use the cooking fuel to make a signal fire." Matt replied.
"That's true." Sora agreed. "Or I guess we can barbecue some telephones."
"Oh boy, check out the genius." Tai said looking at Joe. "See, he's trying to call the phone repair man because the phones don't work. Problem is -look! Joe's got the emergency food!"
"No way!" Izzy exclaimed.
"Joe! Hey, Joe, look, you've got all the food!" Tai called out. The teen turns to the group.
"Hey, don't you know it's rude to interrupt someone when they're on the phone?" Joe asked him.
But that bag." Izzy starts.
"This? I just brought it to give to Mimi." Joe told them. "It was her day to carry the bag!"
Palmon turns to Mimi. "Think he likes ya."
"No way!" Mimi shook her head.
Joe moves to the group, taking off the bag from his shoulder. "Mimi, you have got to stop thinking of yourself and do something to help somebody else for once." He holds the bag out to her. "Take a little responsibility!"
"But that bag is too heavy for me." She complained.
"Listen, you never hear me complaining." Joe told her, as Tai walked up to them.
"Guys, guys! Listen, the most important thing now is that we got some food to eat. So let's sit down and have some lunch."
The group sit in a circle and decide how to split the food, and to add in the Digimon.
"Not a problem at all." Gabumon said. "We Digimon hunt and forage for ourselves."
"Huh?" Some of the Digimon asked.
"You do?" Sora asked in surprise.
"Huh?" The Digimon asked again.
"No need to include us in your calculations." Tentomon said.
"You sure Biyomon?" Sora asks, turning to her Digimon.
"Oh, absolutely." She nods. "We can do alright for ourselves."
"Ok, now that that's taken care of, let's go ahead and divide this between us humans here." Joe said, behind him Tai and Acumen are happily munching on potato chips.
"This is great! I could eat a dozen of these."
Joe turns around to give him an annoyed look. "Just what do you think you're doing?"
Tai turned to him an annoyed look back. "I'm glad we never hear you complaining."
"Mmm, you people make me crazy!" Joe huffs.
"Tai, save some food for the rest of us!" Meiko cried.
"Now what's the matter?" Sora asks, looking at Biyomon and the other Digimon.
"Trouble." Biyomon answered.
Suddenly water shoots out from the sand like a geyser. The water moved towards the phone booths knocked them all off one by one. The Digidestined and their Digimon quickly started to run, leaving the bag behind.
"What's that?" Tai asked as the water stops spouting as a mini sandcastle gushes out, and a gray turban shell emerges from the ground.
"Sheldon!" Tentomon said.
"What's a Sheldon?" Izzy asked.
"Something that gets mad for no reason!" Tentomon answered. The top of the shell starts spinning and a pink turtle like Digimon emerges from inside the shell. "Shellmon is a sea monster Digimon with a bad attitude. Shellmon will crush his opponents with the high pressure of his Aqua Blaster attack!"
"Attacked by 2 digital monsters in the same day. And doesn't Shellmon know I'm allergic to shellfish?" Joe asked. "Everybody, up here!" He tried to climb up a wall, but Shellmon spewed water on him and he fell off the wall.
"Joe!" Gomamon shouts, Shellmon fires his water at him, knocking him further into the water.
"Digimon, attack!" Acumen shouts.
The Digimon charge at the large sea Digimon.
"Acumen, you show him!" Tai cheers.
The Digimon each shoot their power at the large Digimon, but lose power.
"What's happening to them?" Izzy asks.
"They look like they lost their powers!" Matt answered. Shellmon fires his attack on the kids, easily pushing them back.
"Agumon!" Tai calls out. The dinosaur Digimon gets back to his feet and charged again.
"Pepper breath!" Agumon shouts, firing his fireball, the other Digimon charge at Shellmon, but they don't have affect and are easily knocked back. Shellmon goes for Agumon again.
"Go get him, Acumen!" Tai cheers for his Digimon.
"Why is it only Acumen?" Izzy asked.
"We're just too hungry." Tentomon answered weakly.
"What?" Izzy asks.
"Gabumon." Matt said with concern.
"I don't have any strength." Gabumon said weakly. Sora stands up, holding Biyomon.
"That's it! Agumon's the only one who had anything to eat." She realized.
"Now I see." Izzy said.
"Then the other Digimon don't have enough strength left to fight." Matt figured.
"Agumon, looks like it's just you and me now!" Tai called out.
"Then give me a diversion!" Agumon called back.
Tai ran in front of Shellmon. "Hey, Shellmon, ugly, over here!" He calls out.
"Tai!" Meiko shouts with fear.
Tai grabs a pole as Agumon fires another Pepper Breath at the enemy.
"This'll work!" Tai said, holding the pole. He ran back to Shellmon and pokes the monster. "How do you like that?" Shellmon grabs him with one of his tendrils.
"TAI!" A horrified Meiko cried as she moves to help, but Guilmon grabs her to keep her back. "TAI!"
"Hold on Tai!" Agumon shouts. He growls. "Let him go or I'll make tartar sauce out of you!" The enemy roared. Agumon tried to run, but Shellmon stepped on him, pinning the Digimon down.
"Agumon!" Guilmon cried.
Meiko tried to run to help, but Matt and Joe are quick to grab her and pull the struggling girl back. Shellmon turns and fires at them with his water attack.
"Watch out! He's gonna get everyone!" Tai cried, being squeezed hard by the enemy.
"Tai, no!" Agumon yells, and Tai kept screaming in pain and his Digivice starts to vibrate. "TAI"
Light beams from the Digivice, and energy sprinkles downwards.
"What's going on!?" Tai wheezed. Everyone watches in amazement.
"Agumon digivolve to … Greymon!"

Greymon flips Shellmon over, causing him to drop Tai, who tumbles downward and looks at the large dinosaur Digimon in amazement.
"Whoa, he did it again! Now he's Graymon!" Tai exclaimed. "Why do I have a feeling I've seen him before?"
"I'm Graymon, the Digivolved form of Agumon. My Nova Blast attacks will burn my enemies into crisp!"
The team watch as Graymon easily defeats Shellmon after they both take a few turns of attacking.

Graymon returns to Agumon, exhausted from the fight.
"What? Agumon!" Tai cried, running to his partner as Agumon is lying on the ground. Tai grabbed him. "Oh. Are you alright? You poor little guy. Agumon."
"Tai? Tai!" Acumen said weakly, Tai looks at him. "Do you have anything to eat?" Tai couldn't help but laugh.

Joe once again tries to contact home from the ruined telephone booths. "Hello? Come on, I know you're there!" He exclaimed into one of the phones. "Operator! Operator!"
The Digimon happily eat, while Sora watches them.
"There's really no reason to stay here now." Tai decides.
"Who wants to break the bad news to Joe?" Matt asked.
"Shellmon wasn't destroyed. He was just temporarily removed." Izzy said. "We should pack up and leave before he wants to come back for round 2!"
"Good idea." Matt agreed.
"I'm all for that." Meiko nods.
"In that case, we should go right back to the forest, because if anybody's looking for us, that's the place they'll go." Joe said.
"Joe, I've said this before, we feel off a cliff and floated down a river to get here, and getting back there is a really big job." Sora told him.
"And we could run into Kuwagamon." Mimi added.
"Now, listen, logically speaking. If there are telephones here, then there must be people to use them." Izzy theorized. "So I think it makes good sense to try to find those people."
"That makes sense?" Joe asked.
"Makes sense to me." Meiko nods.
"Then let's all get going!" Tai exclaimed.
"Anywhere you want to go, I'll go Tai!" Agumon said. "You just pick the direction!"
"Then, let's get out of this place!" Tai calls.
"And let the monsters beware." Matt said as they walk.
"Mm-hmm. Well, my plan is to avoid all monsters. Yep, that's my plan." Joe said.
"Ok!" Tai cheers. "Here we go!"
