Burchard finds himself stopped at the entrance of the hotel and looks out in awe at the site before him with wide eyes while saying to himself, "what the hell is going on?"

He was ready for the destruction that the twins were causing but what he wasn't expecting was the dozens of destroyed robots that litter the ground while what appears to be some type of airship in flames and crashed into the ocean off in the distance. It was so jarring in fact that he almost didn't notice the hurricane still raging on the beach nearby, while he simply mutters, "there's so much more to this then I could have imagined."

Realizing something though, he shakes off the shock he was feeling while saying, "I can't get distracted."

-

He looks over at the raging hurricane with determination while continuing, "their my priority."

-

Meanwhile on the part of the beach where Burchard and Shido first met the twins, Kaguya and Yuzuru fly through the hurricane while clashing which sends sparks flying everywhere. They meet in the eye of the storm and lock weapons and while stuck, Kaguya shouts, "Damn it Yuzuru!!! Why do you keep denying that you want to win!!!"

-

She gets pushed back by Yuzuru who shouts back, "anger: you're the only one in denial."

-

They continue clash while Shido stands on the beach with a broadsword similar to Tohka's in hand and out of breath. He continues to look up at the battle unfolding in front of him while saying, "damn it! The fight with DEM used up too much of my power and I don't see Origami or Tohka anywhere."

-

He sighs disheartedly while rubbing his temples and continuing, "and this all started with that damn lie Reine told me to tell."

-

He looks back up at the twins while saying, "but it's my fault for not realizing that Yuzuru had fallen for Burchard. If I would have known that then I would have used a different strategy all together."

-

With the winds of the hurricane only growing stronger, he continues to look at the twins while shouting, "please I'm begging you!!! Stop fighting so we can talk things through!!!"

-

Wether they couldn't hear him or simply didn't care didn't seem to matter as the fighting continues unaffected by his plea. Running out of ideas and time, he tries to figure out how to solve this problem with the few resources he had but gets interrupted by the sound of someone running towards him. Confused as to who would be out with a literal hurricane raging, he looks over but becomes terrified at what he sees as he mutters, "Burchard?"

As Burchard makes his way over to him, all Shido was able to think was, "Why is he here!!!"

-

Realizing what him being here means causes his head to drop as his thought continues, "he's probably going to kill me for what I did to him and worse of all, he's only going to make things worse."

-

With another realization coming to him which gives him a new feeling of determination, his head raises once more as he says to himself with determination and with the grip on his sword tightening, "if I have to fight him in order to save the twins then I have no choice."

-

Shido prepares himself for whatever Burchard might throw at him but to his confusion, he comes to a stop in front of him while saying, "I'm not here to fight you. what can I do to help?"

-

Thrown off by his lack of hostility, all Shido was able to ask was, "your not mad at me?"

-

Burchard glares back at him while snapping, "trust me when I say I'm pissed for what you and Reine did, however that's not important. What is important right now is stopping them from fighting."

-

He looks over at the twins while asking, "now tell me what is going on?"

-

Burchard isn't exactly surprised when he hears him sigh disheartedly then replies, "I'm sorry, but I can't tell you."

-

Already knowing that that was the response he would get, Burchard simply stares back blankly at him for a brief moment then shrugs while saying, "okay."

-

Shido sighs in relief that there wouldn't be an argument however this relief is short lived as Burchard quickly closes the distance and grabs him by the collar of his shirt and effortlessly holds him up while asking coldly, "tell me what the hell is going on right now."

-

Shido hangs there shocked from the quick turn of events while thinking, "how is he this strong?"

-

Starting to panic though, Shido drops his sword and desperately grabs hold of his arm in an attempt to free himself while blurting out, "I can't tell you!!!!"

-

Undeterred, Burchard continues to glare at him while snapping, "don't give me that. Reine told me about how the twins are spirits and that you need to seal their powers so they can both live. I just need to know the rest."

-

Shocked to hear that Reine would do such a thing, he realizes that there is nothing to hide so Shido replies, "fine!! But let me go first!"

-

After a brief pause, Burchard lets him go and Shido is able to land on his feet, after frantically backing away, he fixes his shirt while snapping, "that's not something a nice person would do!"

-

Annoyed by the statement, Burchard glares back at him while snapping, "would you still be nice to someone that knocked you out with a vase then tied you up?"

-

Shido looks back at him annoyed but realizing that he was right, sighs in defeat then says, "you have a point."

-

With the winds blowing past them only growing in intensity, they both look at the growing hurricane still raging in front of them while Burchard asks, "what caused this?"

-

With a feeling of guilt growing in his gut, Shido tries his best to not make things worse by replying, "well it all started when I met up with the twins just after I knocked you. An argument broke out between the two which led to Yuzuru accidentally admitting to Kaguya that she wanted to lose so Kaguya could live. This didn't help matters since Kaguya is still in denial that she wanted the same thing and things only deteriorated from there until they started fighting."

Burchard thinks hard on what he said but noticing a missing detail, he looks back at shido while asking, "wait. Why did they start arguing?"

-

With the guilt he felt now becoming visible on Shido's face, Burchard starts to glare at him suspiciously while thinking, "what isn't he telling me?"

-

After a pause, Shido rubs his temples then sheepishly replies, "well the thing is, I kinda told Yuzuru that you had stormed off and left the island."

-

Burchard stands there silently for a moment while repeating his words in his head to make sure he hears Shido correctly but realizing he did, a feeling of confusion and anger starts to take hold as Burchard asks, "hang on. Why would you tell her that?"

-

With the guilt within him only growing and realizing it was best just to tell him the truth, Shido says, "I'm being honest when I tell you that , I needed her to think you were no longer an option in the competition. That way she'll have no other Choice but to try and make me fall for her which would intern give me the opportunity to get both Kaguya and Yuzuru to fall in love with me so I can seal them."

Realizing something, Burchard asks, "are you the only one that can seal a spirit?"

-

Shido simply nods which unfortunately proves Burchard right. Realizing something though, he asks, "so those other girls I heard about, are they spirits too?"

-

He nods again which intern causes Burchard to say, "so that's why you said you can't tell them to leave you alone."

-

He nods again while responding, "yeah. And because I'm not able to tell people what's going on, I ended up with the harem making reputation."

-

Sighing disheartedly though, a feeling of dread starts to grow with in him as Burchard looks up at the battle while saying, "the only way that Yuzuru will be save is if she falls in love with you."

-

With the dread with in him only growing, he feels a hand on his shoulder while hearing a sympathetic Shido say, "I'm sorry it has to be this way."

-

He struggles to fight off the depression he was feeling taking over while asking, "just do me a favour."

-

Shido takes his hand off his shoulder while replying, "anything."

-

After a brief pause in an attempt to keep himself composed, Burchard looks over at him with a strained smile while asking, "make sure to take care of her."

-

Hearing the pain in his voice causes Shido simply nod while replying, "I will."

-

Getting the answer he wanted, Burchard steels himself while looking up at the hurricane while asking, "alright, now how do we stop them."

-

Shido joins him in looking up with saying with confusion, "I don't get it? It's obvious that they care about each other. Why can't they admit it?"

-

Burchard responds, "I don't think it's prides, are they just in denial?"

-

Realizing that he had a point, Shido looks over to him while saying, "I think your right."

-

Realizing something though, he sighs disheartedly while saying, "even if that is the case, how do we get them to stop?"

-

Burchard looks back at him with a raised eyebrow and points at the sword still lying in the sand while asking, "can you use that to intervene?"

-

Shido shakes his head then replies, "I just started using it a little while ago and am worried that I'd hit one or both of them while trying."

-

Realizing there was nothing they could do, Burchard becomes dejected but an idea comes to mind, causing him to look back at the raging battle while asking, "Yuzuru thinks I'm gone right?"

-

Shido nods while replying, "yeah. She doesn't know your still here."

-

He look back at shido while saying, "then we need her to see me."

-

Shido looks back at her confused while asking, "why?"

-

He points at the battle while saying, "look at how their fighting."

-

Shido looks up at the fight while Burchard asks, "do you see it?"

-

Shido studies the twins while trying to figure out what he meant when he notices something, and as he looks back at Burchard he replies, "there purposely missing chances to end it."

-

Burchard nods while responding, "right. So what do you think would happen if one of them gets distracted and leaves them obviously open?"

-

Realizing what he meant, Shido replies, "the other wouldn't finish it. Proving that they don't actually want to kill each other."

-

Burchard nods in agreement but having doubts, shido asks, "but how do we get her to see you?"

-

Burchard try's to come up with something but before he could respond, the twins crash into the beach which sends sand flying everywhere and while they boys shield their eyes, the twins continue their fight undeterred. As Burchard and Shido look at the battle happening only a few dozen feet away they both realize that this is the chance they needed but before they could do anything, Yuzuru launches her chain directly at Kaguya who in turn ducks to dodge while shouting with tears in her eyes, "your still to slow!"

-

Though she missed her mark, For the first time her sister ever saw, Yuzuru's eyes go wide when she sees where her uncontrollable chain was flying which causes her to reach out while shouting, "Burchard!!!"

-

But her plea was too late as she helplessly watches her chain hit him square in the chest with enough force to send him flying into the forest. She stands there frozen in time with her hand still extended to no one while Shido stands there frozen in fear at the sight of the chain falling limply to the ground where Burchard once stood.

-

Not realizing what just happened but seen an opening, Kaguya spins while swinging her lanze and shouting, "your open!!!!"

-

As she spins she sees her sister still staring off into the distance and not moving, as if she had forgotten their battle and instead was focused solely on the forest. As her weapon creeps closer and closer Kaguya thinks, "come on Yuzuru!!! Duck, dodge, counter! Just do something! Anything!!!"

-

To her dismay, Yuzuru continues to stand there lost in time while her weapon closes the distance until she was finally victorious…..

-

If she hadn't stopped herself she would have been. She had stopped with the tip of her lanze a mere inch from Yuzuru's head and that was where it stayed. They both stood there frozen as if they were nothing more than a pair of statues with yuzuru still desperately reaching out to someone that was no longer there and Kaguya with her lanze ready to defeat someone that she had constantly claimed to despise yet she couldn't move, instead she found herself looking at her now shaking lanze with tear filled eyes while whimpering, "why…. Why can't I finish this?"

Hearing this breaks the spell on Yuzuru who slowly turns around only to see Kaguya's lanze pointed squarely at her, realizing what had happened, she looks past the lanze at Kaguya while saying, "confusion: you had an opening, an easy kill. You could have won and become the true Yamai? Why didn't you?"

-

Kaguya looks back at her with tear filled eyes while trying to think of the words to say but thankfully hears someone saying, "isn't it obvious Yuzuru?"

-

Yuzuru looks over and sees Shido standing there with an almost reassuring smile while continuing, "she couldn't bring herself to harm you because she loves you, she truly cares about you."

-

She looks back at Kaguya and with tears starting to form in her eyes asks, "inquiry: is that true?"

-

Kaguya, with her eyes welling with tears is only able to nod which causes Yuzuru to fully tear up while muttering, "rebuttal: Yuzuru thought she was the only one that thought that way."

-

A feeling of relief comes over Kaguya but realizing something causes it to fade and with sadness slowly seeping into her expression, Kaguya responds, "but we can't stop."

-

With tears now running down her cheek, Yuzuru adds, "rebuttal: one of us must die so the other may live. It is the only way."

-

Undeterred by what they are saying, Shido says back, "but it doesn't have to be that way."

-

They both look at him shocked by the statement while Kaguya says, "it doesn't matter what you…."

-

Not letting her finish he snaps, "that's not true!"

-

They fall quiet as if they were both holding on to the glimmer of hope that shido seems to provide as he takes a deep breath then says assertively, "I can seal your powers. Both of yours. You can both live normal lives together!!!"

-

With glimmers of hope dotting their expressions Kaguya asks with unease in her voice, "we'll both be able to live?"

-

While Yuzuru adds, "together?"

-

Shido nods which causes Kaguya to ask in a hopeful tone, "then please, tell us what we need to do."

-

A sudden realization comes over him as he remembers how exactly the who sealing thing works which intern causes him to go beat red while saying, "uhhh…. We'll for starters, the only way I'm able to seal your powers is for you to fall in love with me, and then….

-

Before he was able to finish, Kaguya notices something which causes her to ask, "wait. But Yuzuru is in love with Burchard? Wouldn't that make sealing her powers impossible?"

-

A sudden realization comes over Yuzuru as her eyes once again go wide as she looks at the forest while muttering, "oh no…."

-

Concerned by her sisters Demeanour Kaguya looks at while asking, "Yuzuru. What's…."

-

Before she can finish her sentence, Yuzuru jumps into the air then flies towards the woods with a breakneck speed which causes Kaguya to get ready to purse but is stopped by Shido grabbing her arm. Shocked she looks back at him while snapping, "what are you doing? There's something wrong with her!"

-

Shido simply shakes his head in response while saying, "I think she'll want to be alone with him."
