Joe and Gomamon are on Joe's bed, as they float in the ocean. "If there's one thing I learned about the DigiWorld; beds don't make good boats." Joe said as he sags slumped on the headboard, he turns to see Gomamon sneaky eating food from his bag. "Did I just hear you eating again?" The Digimon nods in reply. "Didn't I tell you not to eat all that food since we don't know when we'll find land?" Joe yelled. "I told you that we'd need to ration which means to save food for later, as in much later!"

"But it is later, Joe. You told me that 20 minutes ago."

Joe grabs his friend and shakes him. "20 minutes is not much later! Please tell me that there is still some food in the bag!" Joe yelled while shaking his partner. He stops.

"Well no, since you can't handle eating and floating in the ocean at the same time I ate it all. Besides I need food to Digivolve in case we run into bad Digimon."

Joe starts to shake him again. "So hav we seen any bad Digimon? No! If I starve who are you gonna protect!?" Joe cried, he stops shaking Gomamon and jumps for the front of the bed to throw up again.

Gomamon comes up to his side. "That's enough about food. Things will get better soon, Hang in there, buddy." He said as he rubbed Joe's back. He then sees a crate floating straight towards them. "That crate is going to hit us."

"Maybe it's full of fruits, vegetables, bread, milk, cereal, hot dogs, cookies, candy and soda!" Joe said with excitement.

"I wish." Gomamon said.

"You wish?" Joe asked, he grabs his Digimon and shakes him again. "We wouldn't need more food if you hadn't eaten ours!" He yells, shaking him back and forth.

"You're strong when you're hungry."

"Starvation is a good motivator." Joe said as the crate rests next to the bed. "Looks like we'll need a jackhammer to open this. Hm, let's see, um." Suddenly the crate breaks open to reveal Ogremon. Joe screamed in terror.

"Ogremon!" Gomamon screamed.

"Right little Digimon-pest!" Pummel Whack!" Ogremon shouts as he swings and misses as Joe and Gomamon jump up. The green Digimon laughs manically before he tries again and misses again. "Pummel Whack!" He keep swinging but Joe and Gomamon duck or jump when he does.

In frustration, Ogremon smacks the middle of the bed, breaking it in half. Joe and Gomamon screamed as they go flying, and Joe lands on one half of the broken bed.

"Come out of the sea! Marching Fishes!" Gomamon shouts, summoning multi colored fish as they attack Ogremon.

"I'm not scared of some stinkin fish!" Ogremon said, before the fish kept hitting him. "On second thought that really hurt!"

"What powerful force could cause this evil Digimon to be driven back and out muscled by a bunch of small fish?" Joe asked.

Gomamon is on the other side of the broken bed. "When this small and weak join forces to fight for a good purpose they can often bring about the downfall of the big and powerful."

"Get off me!" Ogremon growls and punches the fish back into the ocean.

"Then again, sometimes they don't stand a chance." Gomamon sheepishly.

"And neither do we!" Joe cries.

"And now for you meats." Ogremon said and attacks Joe again, but his digivice starts to glow and vibrate.

"Gomamon Digivolve to … Ikkakumon!"

"You're bigger now. I'm so scared … not! Here's some hand-to-hand Pummel Whacking!" Ogremon shouts as he starts throwing rapid punches into Ikkakumon's face.

"Harpoon Torpedo!" Ikkakumon fires his horn at Ogremon, knocking him back into the crate. "Joe, you've gotta climb up onto my back."

"Cowards! Go ahead and run! See how far you'll get!" Taunts Ogremon as Ikkakumon and Joe get farther and farther away. "Frady cats! Come back and fight! I dare you!"

"Oh man, I don't like adventures. I'm a stay at home and read kind of guy." Joe said, before realizing something's wrong. "Huh?"

"I'm tired and hungry and sinking." Ikkakumon tiredly said.

"Sinking is bad! Hey Ikkakumon!" Joe cried. "Wait a minute, I thought you were suppose to be some sort of super water mammal."

On a shoreline, Sora casts a fishing line into the water.

"Sora is fishing! Sora is fishing!" Sang Biyomon as she skips up to the red head. "Catch anything?"

"Not yet. Give me time. I'm hoping to catch something big."

"I'd even be happy if you caught me a little sardine." Biyomon said, rubbing her stomach.

"Please, I know how hungry you can get." Sora replied. "If I caught any kind of fish, you'd be there eating it with me."

"Well, since you put it that way. Do you really think you can make a big catch?" Biyomon asks, before seeing the line go under. "Oh, look maybe there's one now."

"Oh boy, it feels like a whale!" Sora said as she pulls on her line. "This is a whopper for sure!"

"Pull harder."

"I'm trying to."

"Let me help." Biyomon wraps her wings around Sora's waist and pulls.

"Help!" Joe weakly calls, half his head above water before going back in the water.

"Oh my that's a person! Joe!" Sora exclaimed as she sees who it is, then pulls harder.

Soon, Joe is lying on a bed of leaves next to a fire while Gomamon tells Sora and Biyomon what happened.

"Then a large crate drifted over to us, Ogremon popped out and attacked us."

"Goodness, how horrible." Sora said.

"It was, but I digivolved and we escaped him, but then my strength left, I just couldn't seem to keep up my energy. The next thing I knew, I was sinking deeper and deeper. When I opened my eyes and looked around, I finally spotted Joe nearby." Gomamon explained. "He was unconscious at the time and sinking fast. I tried to get him to the surface, but my strength was giving out again and I knew I couldn't hold my breath for much longer and that's about the time your fishing line hit me, so I grabbed the line wrapped it around Joe and hung on until you pulled us in."

"Oh my goodness! I'm so glad that the both of you are ok." Sora said

"But I'm worried about Joe." Gomamon said.

"You are?" Biyomon asked.

"Joe's going to be just fine, Gomamon." Sora assured.

"Well, yes physically but I'm worried about his confidence." Gomamon replied. "Fighting Ogremon back there really knocked him out. He needs to build his self-confidence."

"How can we help him?" Biyomon asks.

"Very simple. We just make him our leader." Gomamon answered simply, just before Joe suddenly wakes up.

"Huh? Oh." He grumbles, grabbing his glasses and puts them on. "Uh, hey, where's Ogremon? Huh? Huh? Huh? Huh?"

"He's gone." Biyomon assures.

"But we've got a bigger problem, we can't find the others. What should we do? We're stuck on this deserted island with no leader. So I guess you're going to have to lead us, Joe." Sora said.

"WHA?" Joe exclaimed.

"I'm for him!" Gomamon cheerfully called.

"And me!" Biyomon exclaimed, also cheerful.

Joe's quickly overwhelmed. "Not me, I am not a leader!" He rapidly shook his head. "That title belongs to Tai."

"You have to!" Sora insisted. "Tai isn't here, and you're the strongest one here."

"Mm-hm." Both Digimon nod.

"Not to mention the bravest." Biyomon said.

"Come on, Joe, remember how ya fought that Unimon?" Gomomon reminded.

"Well." Joe thought about it. "Meiko was the first to be brave." He thinks about it. "I am brave." He said, gaining confidence, then stands up. "You're right! I am the bravest one here!"

"Well, lets's not get too carried away." Sora said said as she see the big ego getting to Joe's head.

"Oh, but if I fail who will save you or me?" Joe asks her.

"My fish line?" She tried weakly. Suddenly bell chimes is in the distance, gaining their attention.

"Huh?" Joe and Sora ask.

They look over and see a building on a mountain that's top is covered by fog.

"Did you hear something?" Joe asked.

The fog clears and they see a structure like church. "Yeah, it seemed to come from up there." Sora points.

"What do you suppose it is?" Biyomon asked.

"Looks kinda like a church." Sora tried to answer.

"Where there's a church that's usually people, maybe our friends!" Joe exclaimed.

"Someone should check it out." Sora said.

"I'll go." Biyomon starts to fly.

"Wait, Biyomon!" Sora stopped her.

"Huh?"

"Joe's our leader now." Sora reminded.

"Wha?" Joe gasped, making Sora turn to him.

"Well, lead us." She told him.

"What if we see a bad Digimon?" Joe asked, feeling nervous. "I, uh, I need a moment. Ok!" They walk up the hill calling out a military march.

"Must he keep up with that army march dribble?" An Annoyed Sora, complained.

"Halt! Notice anything?" Joe asked when they come to a stop and look around.

"It all sort of looks familiar to me as if its a place I've dreamed about or deja vu." Sora answered. "You know, like we've been here before."

"You're right, this definitely looks like part of the island that broke away." Joe said.

"Yeah."

"Yup, so we should find everyone else or at least some people taking shelter in that church."

"You're assuming there quite a bit there." Sora turns to the young teen.

"Fine, that's my opinion!" Joe shouts, he had a feeling that if Meiko said the same thing that he said, Meiko would get insulted and would run off.

"I'm just giving you another view." Sora told him.

Joe stuck his thumb into his chest. "I'm the leader here!"

"Ok, excuse me." Sora backed off.

"Let's move out!" Joe orders, quickly walking off.

"Wow! We've created a monster." Sora folds her arms.

"Hey, you think a black gear got him?" Gomamon jokes.

"Gomamon." Sora giggled.

"Ok, step lightly troops. Let's have no straggles." Joe said as they arrive at the entrance. "There's the church."

"Who's going in?" Biyomon asked.

Sora turns to Joe. "What are you waiting for?" She asks him, and he freezes.

"What's wrong?" Biyomon asked.

"Well boss." Sora pressed.

"Joe, you're the leader." Gomamon reminds. "Do you want me to take a peek?"

Joe rapidly shook his head. "No, I don't want you taking a peek! I can't wait to go in here!" He shouts before walking off.

"I think it worked." Gomamon said as the three laugh.

"Ok, I'm afraid." Joe thought as he looks around the corner and see people dancing. "I was right, just a normal group of people." He rushes back to the others. "Oh hey guys! Whoa!" He slides away from them, before leaping back to them. "There are people in the church! Dancing! Badly, I might add!"

"Huh!?" The three are shocked.

The four then head over to the church and look around the corner. Seeing people dancing.

"There are people, they're dancing and they're wearing masks like it's Halloween." Sora said.

A man in a mask moves closer to the kids. The man looked like a priest. "Hallow what?" He asked. Joe, Sora, Biyomon and Gomamon all screamed.

"Where did you come from?" Sora asked.

"Come with me." The in the mask leads them inside the church. "They're celebrating the Bakemon holiday."

"It reminds me of Halloween." Joe said.

"We would love to have you join us. We don't have a lot a young people around." The masked man said. "And no holiday is complete without them. You arrived just in time for some … fun."

"Like trick-or-treat? You do that for Bakemon?" Joe asked.

"Yes."

"Wait, Bakemon as in Lord Bakemon?" Gomamon asked.

"Yes."

"But the only Bakemon I know of it a horrible Digimon who lives among ghosts as their ruler." Gomamon frowns. "Why would you honor and celebrate someone like that, in the words of our friends, he's like a loser."

"You got that right." Biyomon agrees with a nod.

"Don't you dare come in here and tell us who to honor or not!" The masked man shouts into the Digimon's faces.

"Now, now." Gomamon said.

"Back off!" Biyomon added.

"You're a little touchy." Sora comments. "We just want to know when the trick or treating starts."

"You're not afraid?" The masked man asked, the four DigiDestined shake their heads.

"Well, you should be cause it's a trick." The mask starts to crack, shocking the two human kids. "And you're the treat." Soon in the man's place, was now a Bakemon, scaring Joe and Sora.

"The masked man was the evil Digimon Lord Bakemon in disguise." Gomamon said. "No one had ever seen him in his true form."

"Bakemon!" Biyomon yells.

"It is Bakemon!" Gomamon yells. Suddenly, all the people turn into Bakemon and start chasing the four DigiDestined our of the church. Once outside, the others had also turned into Bakemon.

"The dancers. They were Bakemon too." Sora said as the church begins to crumble away.

"Spiral Twister!" Biyomon shouts, sending her attack at Bakemon.

"Gomamon Digivolve too." Gomamon tried to Digivolve, but couldn't.

"Gomamon!" Joe cries.

"I need food. You were right, I should have saved earlier." Gomamon groans.

"Biyomon Digivolve to." Biyomon starts, but grabs her stomach.

"Biyomon!" Sora cried.

"I'm hungry too. Can't Digivolve."

Sora and Joe scream as the Bakamon surround them, before being dogpiled on.

"Let me go!"

"Allergic! Ow! I'm allergic to pain!"

"Ok, don't panic!" Joe assured Sora as the two are tied up to be eaten. "What would Tai do? What would Tai do?" He asked himself, then took a deep breath. "I'm still in control and feeling strong."

"Ok." Sora nods.

Joe starts bawling. "I don't wanna be somebody's appetizer! I'm supposed to go to med school!"

Two Bakemon, carrying salt and pepper dump the stuff on two the two humans.

"Add pepper." One of them said.

"More?" Another one asked.

"Why not."

Joe sneezed when the pepper sprinkles his nose.

"Salt and pepper? You're not gonna eat us, are you?" Sora asks, starting to panic.

"You're a little on the scrawny side but you'd be surprised what the right seasonings can do."

Joe turned his head to Sora. "You think we can finagle him to dine on someone a big bigger?" He asks.

"What kind of fiend is this guy? We're just kids." Sora responded.

"You don't wanna eat me, I'm mostly gristle anyway." Joe said, Sora turns her head to him.

"What's that suppose to mean? Are you saying they should eat me first?"

"Oh, can't you see it's curtains for both of us?" He asked.

"Go have your pity party somewhere else!"

"Munching on you both will be a treat!" The first Bakemon said. Joe screamed. The Bakemon fly up in front of both kids as they chanted.

"We're scary ghosts! We like to fool! Now it's time to chew on you! Now it's time to chew on you!" The Bakemon chants, and turn into a giant Bakemon who turns with a giant blue claws. Both Joe and Sora scream.

And just before the giant Bakemon could eat Joe and Sora, their two champion level Digimon break through the floor.

"Your timing couldn't be better!" Joe shouts, looking at his partner.

"Go get Bakemon!" Sora shouts to Birdramon.

"While we get out of here!" Both kids shout as they run right out of the church and hide behind a couple of headstones. The two kids watch as their Digimon fight.

"Wow." Joe comments as Bakemon is winning.

"He's putting up a good fight." Sora said. "Lord Bakemon is tough."

"His power comes from evil." Joe said. "Only good can beat him with time."

"What if it's too late?" Sora asked.

"It's never to late to fight evil." Joe states. "But we have to weaken Lord Bakemon to help our friends prevail."

"We'?" Sora repeats. "You're the leader, not me."

Joe turns to glare at her. "Don't be a quitter!"

"What makes you think we can beat him?"

"I once saw this show about this Roman physicist. He believed that repeating a word or phrase focuses mind over matter." Joe explained.

"Let's focus on running."

"No, we focus on Bakemon losing power."

"Ok, you're in charge. Start focusing." Sora said, watching Joe put his hands together and begins to chant.

"Bakemon lose your power. Bakemon, lose your power, Bakemon lose your power." The teen chanted. "You can jump in at anytime now." He turns to her with a look. "Well?"

"Right, but." Sora sputtered out, but took off her hat. "Well, we'll use my lucky hat."

Joe uses the hat as he gently hits the hat with a stick to a steady rhythm as he continued to chant. "Bakemn lost your power. Bakemon lost your power."

The Bakemon begins to shrink and lose its strength. "Joe, Bakemon is getting weaker! I believe it's working!" Sora gasps.

"Bakemon better pick his food more carefully. We won!" Joe shouts. Ikkakumon and Birdramon fire their attacks, causing Bakemon to explode. "Take a hint. Take the highway."

"Way to go guys! We got Bakemon!" Sora exclaimed. She and Joe cheer, before the ground splits open.

"It's an Earthquake!" Joe cries.

"But we're not shaking." Sora frowns, they look down to see a ton of Black Gears in the crack. "Uh oh, those are Black Gears."

"Lots of them." Joe said.

The ground starts shaking again. "Now we're shaking." Sora said, before suddenly it stops the and island broke apart.

"Wow! I'm sure glad those Black Gears broke." Joe said as the fog lifted.

"I'm glad Bakemon's gone." Sora said. "Look, its Infinity Mountain."

"And that's where we're going." Joe decides.

"Yeah." Sora agrees, they climb up on their Digimon, who start to leave for the mountain.

"Maybe our friends are there, Sora." Joe said.

"I hope so."
