Hey guys sorry for not updating for two months got into a writers block mid way through. Not only that but I've also had my grandmother over and had been unable to write since I've been tending to her since she got injured. Plus I also took a break since I rushed three chapters. But either way I'm back, leave any comments to help me improve in anything. Ideas and suggestion are welcome but may or may not be added and enjoy. Also don't own nothing except my character and this story.

(Ozpin)

"We gotta contain it and study it, Ozpin." Opening his eyes, Ozpin glanced over to the General. "Who knows what this creature is capable of?! How do we kill it? What does it think? What are its goals?!"

"Now, James, I know your concern. But we can't act too harshly or hastily against this creature. Like you said, we don't know how to kill it. So it will be in the best of our interest if we try to make friends with it. So please, calm yourself." In honest truth, Ozpin couldn't blame the General for his paranoia. He, too, was hesitant in approaching the Akhlan. But he hid it well.

"You're right. As much as I want to put it in a cell, it'll only cause us problems if it resists," Ironwood sighed.

"Indeed, and there's also the case of it having basic human intelligence."

"That too," He said with another sigh.

Their only approach to the Akhlan was to establish a peaceful connection. After that... he doesn't know. What do they do with it? The more Ozpin thinks about it, the more he feels that relinquishing this creature to Ironwood is a good idea. While Vale does have scientists who are promising in their own work. He can't deny Atlas's advantages. If the Akhlan goes berserk, there will be tons of soldiers, androids, and the 'secret weapon' to try and contain it. But his thinking was cut off when the elevator to his office opened, revealing two people.

One was his secretary, Glynda Goodwitch, who, by default, was wearing a white long-sleeved blouse and a cape that was purple inside and black outside, a black high-waisted pencil skirt with bronze buttons, and brown stockings.

The second was the Generals plus one Specialist, Winter Schnee. Who wore a white long-sleeved coat with a single dark blue clasp around the center waist, a red jeweled brooch on the collar, and a pair of white trousers with dark blue garters alongside gray thigh boots.

But what caught Ozpin's attention was their troubled looks. "Glynda, Specialist Schnee, what seems to be the problem?"

Glynda quickly fixed her glasses and said, "Ozpin, the description you put out for the creature. They have found one matching the description."

(4 Hours later)

When Ozpin entered the room next to the creature, he was... well, speechless. A living walking vortex.

The head is the spiraling vortex, its body of an unknown blood-red stone. And spikes sticking out from its back, arms, and legs.

"My god." Turning to see who spoke, he saw Glynda. "This is the Akhlan? It's... it's..."

"Terrifying," said Qrow, finishing her thoughts for her. Glynda didn't even disagree. Their thoughts, however, were interrupted when the door opened. In came the General as well as the Specialist close behind.

Their immediate reaction upon seeing the creature was the same as theirs. Terrified, awed, speechless, intimidated, more so with the Schnee.

"My god, is that it? The creature you spoke of, Ozpin?" The General said, facing him.

"I believe so. I haven't seen any other creature that looks like this." Fixing his posture, Ozpin continued, "Either way, let's not make our guest wait too long." He said while walking out of the room.

(Daniel)

Oh my god, I've always wanted to do that! Ozpin was incredibly surprised. So much so that Glynda approached to see what I wrote.

"Who's Ozma?" Before Ozpin could dismiss her, though, I reacted by lifting my hand and pointing at him. Glynda only squinted at me before looking back at Ozpin. "What is it talking about, Ozpin?"

"N-nothing of importance, at least not now." He eluded. Glynda gave him a look before nodding and moving back. "You appear to know a bit about me, Akhlan."

Writing my response, I returned the notebook to him, 'And more, like Salem, the brother gods, the maidens, the relics.'

Letting a huff of air leave him, he says, "You're just full of surprises." I only shrugged as a response to him. "What else do you know?"

'Spoilers.'

"Hm, well, can't blame me for trying, right." Before he continued, there was someone I was concerned about. So I wrote it.

'How's Amber? Is she eating well?'

Quickly reading it, he smiled at me before speaking. "Yes, Amber's fine and eating well. Now, onto the reason why all of us are here." The room grew more grim and tense as Ozpin spoke his following words. "What are you? What do you want? And are you a threat to us?"

When he said those, I actually took my time to think. Should I tell him what I really am? Make me seem more... ah Christ, what's the word?

Mysterious?

Yeah, that! And also make myself look more dangerous. Eh, screw it.

'I am the Akhlan, world eater, end giver, a painful truth. I seek your relics to consume, to summon the gods, and eat them. And as long as you don't try to-' Yeah, no, screw that. I rip the page off before putting it in my inventory and rewriting the sentence.

'My kind are called Akhlans. We are... a harsh truth... a must. I seek many things, some even being beneficial to you. And as long as you don't try to destroy me, I will not do the same.'

"What is this harsh truth?" My only response was lifting my finger in a hush notion in front of my face. "Hm, what are you going to do that will be beneficial to us?"

'A space stage, better tech, a cure for all diseases, the death of Salem.'

"And how do you plan on doing the last part If you know about her 'condition.'"

'Patience.'

"And that last part about not trying to destroy you should be fine as long as you do the same for us," he said, smiling. I only nodded my head in response. "Another question... do you know how to use magic?"

I demonstrated my magic by holding my arms out and letting my healing magic out to go and embrace him. There was a collection of gasps as the magic was released.

Ironwood and Winter pulled out their weapons and were about to attack me until Ozpin stopped them with a hand raise. He first chuckled a bit before laughing. The others looked worried until Ozpin spoke again, "Healing magic! You have healing magic! Are you able to teach this? I must know!"

Ok. I've never seen Ozpin react like that, not in the show or any other sources. Hell, even the other people in the room were surprised as well. But to answer his question, I shrugged since I didn't know if I could.

"Oh well, can't have it all." But before he could continue, everyone in the room started hearing a commotion outside the room. Eventually, it got closer until we heard scratching at the door and what sounded like bear groans.

'Yogi?' I said mentally to him. What I felt was Yogi telling me they were hungry. Huh, well, yeah, I think it's time to feed him. Do I give him more meat or milk?

Milk, it is still a baby. While eating meat here and there is good, it still needs some milk.

I'll have to search the game shop for Aegis bear milk.

When I turned back to the rest of the people, I saw them all holding their weapons, aiming at the door. At that, I panicked and ended up Blinking in front of the door, holding my hand out to stop them.

"What? Don't you hear that?! That is an Ursa!" exclaimed the General. I only kept my hands up and slowly opened the door. What they saw made some of them only tilt their heads in confusion. But for Ozpin and Qrow, they tensed instantly. I only ended up patting Yogi's head to demonstrate he's harmless.

Walking back over to the table, I got the notebook and wrote. 'The bear is with me.'

"The bear is with you?" said Glynda. I only nodded before I began patting and rubbing the bear's head.

'And also friendly.' I quickly wrote.

"You know this bear radiates tons of magical energy, right?" questioned Ozpin. Nodding to him, I continue writing.

'It's a familiar, but don't worry, it still can't use its magic. It's still only a baby.'

"Thats a baby!" Ozpin was flabbergasted.

"No, shit. You for real?" Exclaimed Qrow. "That is a baby?!" when I confirmed it again, Qrow only said, "Huh," Before grabbing his flask and downing the whole thing.

"That's hard to believe," Winter said.

'Well, you're just gonna have to believe me.' Crossing my arms, I turned around and left the room. I made it to about five feet out of the room before I was stopped by some armed guards. Quickly raising my hands, I stood still. You know, I wasn't surprised to see Atlas military here. Turning to look back, I also see Yogi on his hind legs, raising his front paws in a surrender as well. God, that's so adorable. But still, I was really in a pickle, and it also explained the commotion I had heard earlier.

"Stand down!" cried a voice behind me. Peaking behind me, I saw the General. "It's not a threat... yet."

Now that's just mean.

(10 minutes later, Winters pov)

Winter has served the Atlas military zealously for as long as she was admitted. It has earned her her spot as a specialist in military ranking. And the heavy amount of trust put in her when told that magic was real, the maidens, and the newest the Akhlan.

She stared at the creature feeding the bear with a comically large baby bottle filled with what appeared to be milk. She wasn't the only one staring as Qrow joined her and a few other military personnel, all just as bewildered as she was.

"Well, you don't see that every day, " he said, grabbing his flask and downing it before offering her some. "Want some, too."

She usually would've just scoffed at him for his drinking and repremand him. But today, after seeing this thing, pull out a giant baby bottle, feeding the giant bear, which was actually a baby. She couldn't help but grab the flask and start chugging it. Yeah, she needed this; while unprofessional, she's just seen the most unbelievable thing. And she's pretty sure no one is going to blame her. Gasping, she returned the flask to Qrow, who didn't even comment on her accepting his flask.

"So what do you think?"

"Pardon?" turning her head to him.

"About this Akhlan... and his bear," he said, pointing at his flask.

"What can I say? It's terrifying. A walking, living black hole with basic human intelligence. It can write our language and understand us; if we do something that might anger it, who knows what it can and will do." Winter, unbeknownst to her, was slowly raising her voice during her rant, causing some to look at her and for Daniel to face her.

(Daniel)

Damn, these people are hella mean. They think I will destroy their whole world.

Well, your species are known as world eaters.

Point taken. I looked back at Yogi, still drinking milk from the giant baby bottle I bought. From where I bought, well, obviously from the Game shop, but I still was surprised to see Aegis bear milk for sale. But it was by far not cheap. 60 SC for the giant bottle and 1500 for the milk. With a mental sigh, I continued holding the bottle until Yogi finished.

(5 minutes later)

It's good that my arms can't get tired. But Yogi instantly fell asleep after drinking his milk. When he did, I took out my shard and sucked him back in for him to sleep. Usually, I would let him sleep outside the shard, but Ozpin wanted me to go to Atlas so they could study me. Did I accept? Only in front of them did I have any other choice... yes, I did. Which is why once Yogi fell asleep, I booked it.

"Hey, it's getting away." someone behind me yelled. But not choosing to look behind, I continued Sprint Dashing away. During this form, my spiral vortex expanded, consuming my torso but not my arms or legs. I ran past a few soldiers who instantly began shooting at me. Blinking out of the way of the bullets, I continue my Sprit Dash, repeating that every few times.

Then came the ice wall appeared. Skidding to a stop, I look back and see Winter and some other soldiers surrounding me. Winter, with her blade held out.

"Creature, turn yourself in peacefully; you don't have to make this worse."

Ok, I wanna fight her.

Masochist.

Chinga tu madre.

[Quest gained!]

[A force to reckon with]

Defeat Winter either by knocking her out or killing her.

Rewards: Gain her semblance if absorbed. If spared and knocked unconscious instead, gain a +100% damage modifier against this person and will also ? You. +1000 SC, 1 Rare token, decreases reputation with Ozpin inner circle if killed, stay neutral if spared.

Oh, nice. Pulling my scythe out of my head, I ready myself against her. Everyone surrounding me instantly tensed once they saw me pull out my weapon. But they aimed their guns at me, fingers shaking on the trigger.

"Fine if that's how you want it to be." With a tense silence, nobody moved, "FIRE!" Then, all hell broke loose as everyone fired their guns at me.

But I instantly started absorbing all their bullets into my head before shooting them back at Winter. While I meant to miss her, I accidentally hit her arm instead. And I'll have, you know, having about 15 people mag dumping their guns at you and shooting all that back in one compressed form. You wouldn't be surprised if all that force ended instantly, breaking her arua and blowing her arm off.

Instantly, Winter Yelled out in pain, collapsing and grabbing the bloody stump of where her arm used to be. She was on the floor crying in pain. Some members instantly went to her side while others reloaded their weapons and prepared to aim at me again. Not wanting to get shot and make this worse, I double-jumped onto a nearby roof and made my way around the ice barrier.

[Quest complete]

(2 hours later)

I still continued running as I heard groups of people chasing me in the forest I ran into. Reaching the side of a cliff, I stopped in my tracks. Wait, why am I running?

Beats me.

Why did I even pick a fight to begin with?

Once again, beats me. Also, here, take this.

(Update installed!)

[Bug fixes]

Added hidden caches around the world.

Added The Dreamborn Terror. Find it to gain more cosmetic items for your species and a Saguine Ichore.

'A dream stirs.'

Added notifications of how certain people feel about you.

Once that happened, I started to feel different more... me, I guess. I no longer feel lost. Now I know what I want to do! But man, was all that really caused by a bug.

It looks like it didn't even know you were acting like that cause of a bug.

Yeah, it's scary that I felt all that and didn't even notice it. Hell, I thought I was ok. But also, I did just screw myself over by injuring Winter. God damn bugs. With a mental sigh, I approach the cliff edge and sit down. Looking over the edge I was sitting on, I saw the ocean and the beach at the bottom of this cliff. Hearing the distant waves of the ocean calmed me. It was here that I realized I missed civilization, having no one to talk to or having people not afraid of me.

I wish Yogi wasn't asleep right now so I can lay on him. But I don't know how long I'd been sitting here that I heard footsteps behind me. I turned my body to get a view of who was approaching me. I saw Qrow and only him.

He reached to his ear and spoke, "I've found it." Before looking back at me and unsheathing his blade, "Look buddy, I don't want any more problems, alright. Just come quietly, and we can fix this. You got that, buddy?"

Standing up, I only nodded at him. He released a sigh before reaching to his back and producing some cuffs.

"Sorry, but the other will feel safer if you're in this." He smiled at me Sheepishly.

Lifting my hand up, he clasps the cuffs on me before we begin walking off.

(Back at the village)

We arrived back at the village, and I was being escorted by many armed personnel to an aircraft. I saw Ozpin, Ironwood, and Winter, who had her arm stump in bandages and wore a plain white shirt. The General was giving me a glare While Winter looked agitated at me. Is she afraid of me? Stopping in front of the aircraft and them, Ozpin spoke.

"You won't run away if we remove your cuffs, will you?" Saying that Causes a reaction from the General.

"Are you out of your mind, Ozpin! This creature ran off, causing a chase in this small town. It pulled its weapon out when confronted to stop and turn itself in. And blew the arm of my specialist off.

"James, I know you're upset-"

"I am more than upset here, Ozpin." Interrupted Ironwood getting closer to me. "This thing should be contained somewhere secure where It will never harm anyone again. Having this thing out in the wilderness unchecked is a liability."

With a sigh, Ozpin continued, "Now, James, I know how you feel about this creature, but the things it has promised will greatly benefit us. Even it's magic... speaking of magic." Turning to face me again, "Can you regrow limbs with your healing magic?"

Oh yeah, I forgot I can do that. Nodding, Ozpin ordered the guard to uncuff me, which they did reluctantly. Once they did, I approached Winter, who flinched at me.

(!)Winter fears you

-10 rep as long as she fears you.

Oh... that is quite surprising. Either way, I used my power Recess on the exposed stump of the bloodied patched arm. Blue cube-like particles began being produced from my whole arm and started traveling to the palm of my hand, where it was facing the stump. As the particles touched the stump, It slowly grew, ripping the bandages off it. After a few minutes, her arm was fully grown back.

Winter stared at her newly grown arm in awe, and she began testing it.

"It's like I never lost it. I don't even feel pain anymore."

(!) Winter fears you less

-5 rep, as long as she fears you

Well, then, that's good. I got my notebook and wrote, 'Sorry about the arm and how I acted. I don't have any excuses.'

Reading the paper, Winter looked at it before sighing, "I accept your apology. But I'll get you back for what you did to me." She challenged

I began laughing at that and gave her a thumbs-up.

(!) Winter tolerates you but still fears you

-3 rep

Well, beggars can't be choosers.

Turning back to Ozpin, who was now smiling, "Well, if this doesn't prove it can be useful to us, then I don't know what else, General." He turned to face the general, still awed at what he saw.

He finally snapped out of it before looking straight at me. "You better not cause any more problems, and we'll get along fine," he warned before turning around and walking off.

"I'm sure you two will get along fine." Ozpin joked, "Follow me, please." Following him, we entered the bullhead, where he sat across from me. Soon, Glynda entered and sat across from me as well. It wasn't long until I felt the bullhead starting to fly off.

(30 minutes mid-flight)

You know you never get the chance to really see characters in real life. And seeing Ozpin and Glynda here proves how little we can catch character designs, especially in animated form. Glynda was Beautiful, and Ozpin was as well. I did not want to waste this opportunity, so I bought a sketchbook and colored pencils and began drawing Glynda first.

This caught both of their attention, but they didn't say anything as they let me do what I was doing. Ten minutes later, I finished drawing. The drawing of Glynda was-

[Item created!] (Quality influenced by [Artist])

Full-body portrait of Glynda Goodwitch {Godly}. Displays Glynda Goodwitch in a sitting position, smiling at the viewer.

Yeah, it was perfect. Wrote a few words on it saying, 'You are beautiful.' Carefully ripping the paper off, I gave it to Glynda. Once she got the paper, her eyes opened wide before looking back at me and smiling a wonderful smile.

"Thank you, Akhlan, that is kind of you." before storing the paper nearby, making sure it doesn't get bent.

+15 Rep with Glynda Goodwitch for the portrait. (1/1)

What the one fore?

It means you can only do that once.

Ah, that makes sense. Either way, I began doing Ozpin next, who also appreciated the drawing.

[Item created!] (Quality influenced by [Artist])

Full-body portrait of Ozpin in a standing position {Legendary}. Displays Ozpin looking at the viewer while having one arm behind his back and the other holding the cane.

+5 Rep with Ozpin for the portrait. (1/1)

(3 hours later)

When we arrived at Beacon, I was enamored by the architecture. Seeing through a screen is one thing, but seeing the actual place in person is breathtaking.

"I see you're enjoying the view." Ozpin said, walking beside me, "It good to see that not only students get awestruck when seeing Beacon for the first time." He continued walking forward with Glynda close behind. Following them, we continued walking the ground when I saw the statue and stopped when I saw something familiar in front of the statue.

What was in front of the statue was a Levolam. I got closer to see if it was real and touched it. It's real! Feeling the smooth side of the Levolam, I didn't notice both Ozpin and Glynda approach behind me.

"I see you found the life crystal."

The WHAT! Turning to face them, I signed for him to continue.

"The crystal has been through humanity for as long as the brother gods have existed, maybe even longer. All I know is that these are natural deflectors of negative energy, violence, and Grimm. They have been beacons of hope and prosperity. Finding these in other academies or any big city will not be surprising. Scientists have tried to find other uses for them, but they were impossible to break." He said, shrugging at that last part.

I can't wait to see his surprised face when I imprint this Levolam. So, winding up my arm, I punch the Levolam, causing it to crack and suck me in it. Inside the Surrogate, I can see both Ozpin and Glynda's faces and boy, where they to die for. Both of Jaws were wide open, well for Glynda, more so, but still. Forcing myself out of the Levolam, I land in front of them before standing up and opening my arms out as if I were saying, 'What?'

"H-how? Tha- the- WHAT?! Those crystals are supposed to be impossible to break!" Glynda shrieked, "And you just go and punch one and successfully crack it while many scientists have failed in doing that simple thing." She continues to rant a bit more until Ozpin calms her down.

I quickly wrote something in my notebook before ripping it and putting it on the floor. Then I did the peace sign and disappeared into the Levolam again.

(Ozpin)

Seeing the creature disappear into the crystal again, he picked up the paper it had left behind.

'see ya tomorrow. And also call me Daniel from now on.'

:)

"Huh."

(30 minutes later)

"It cracked WHAT!" When the General landed, Ozpin had told him what had transpired when they landed earlier. And to no one's surprise, he was shocked. Even Winter was surprised by this news and Qrow, who hitched a ride with them.

"It is, as I said, James. The Akhlan, or Daniel as it chooses to be called, cracked the life crystal." Replied Ozpin.

"But how? Those crystals were impossible to crack. Even Atlas scientists struggled to put a scratch on it." Said Qrow.

"I don't know how it cracked it. All I saw it do was wind up its arm and punched it before being sucked in."

"What do you mean sucked in?" said James

"Like I said, it punched it, cracking it but also getting sucked inside the crystal." The General rubbed his temples at this info, getting more stressed from Daniel.

"This thing is causing more problems for us than we can handle."

"Who knows what else It'll do." Qrow said behind, drinking his flask empty, "I'm going to the guest quarters to pass out. See you guys tomorrow."

Seeing the retreating form of Qrow, Ozpin turned back to the rest of the people he was talking to. "We should probably do the same. We can do nothing, and Daniel isn't coming out of the crystal until tomorrow. So it's best if we get some sleep as well." With a sigh, the General Agreed, and soon, everyone was about to turn in for the night. Then Winter remembered something.

"Aren't there any students staying here right now, Ozpin? What will happen if the Akhlan leaves the crystal early and meets a student?"

They did not think about that.

Noice, these new traits are good. Forcing myself out of the Levolam, I began wandering around Beacon. Also, did I mention it's about 2 hours before sunrise? Walking around, I tested many doors, many of which were locked (no surprise there.) After a bit, I wandered into the library, which was just as big in the show. Going inside, I head for the history section of the library.

Looking through it, I found a random greyish-white box hidden in one of the shelves. Grabbing it, I began inspecting it. I nearly dropped it when a pop-up appeared.

(Velvet)

Velvet woke up early today to continue her research into creating her weapon. After taking a quick shower and getting dressed, she went to the library, but not before getting a quick snack from the cafeteria. Once at the library, she entered, not really paying attention to her surroundings. Velvet didn't notice the living black hole reading a couple of books and a sleeping bear.

She returned to the tables after finding the books that she needed. And sat down to read, still not noticing the living black hole and its bear.

Two hours passed before the door to the library burst open, revealing a familiar fashionista.

"Hey Vel, how's the Research going... on." She said with a spirited attitude before suddenly dying.

"Hm? Oh, hey Coco, things have been just fine. I made some good progress that will help me finish my weapon. Coco? What are you... staring... at." Turning to see what Coco was staring at, Velvet finally saw the creature and the bear. Velvet's ears stood straight up, and her whole body went still. She felt a terrifying chill behind her spine, and her instincts told her to run. But she couldn't. She was stuck, petrified by what she was seeing.

Coco, in an attempt, tried to speak to Vevelt as silently as possible. "Psst, Velvet." This caused the person's ear to slightly., "Velvet!" she said a bit louder but not too loud, hoping to not attract the creature's attention. This did get a reaction from Velvet, causing her to snap out of her trance and stare directly at her. "We need to go now!" loudly whispering to her.

With a nod, Velvet made to get off her seat when it made a loud scraping sound. Both of them wince and turn to see if this alerted the creature. And to both of their horrors, it did, as it was now facing them. They stood there for what felt like hours. The creature lifted its arm up, causing both of them to tense. To both confused, the creature puts a finger to where its head is supposed to be before returning to its book.

Both of them were beyond confused. But not wasting this opportunity, they quietly and hurriedly made their way out of the library. And once out, they booked it towards Ozpins office.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

By the way, he's only made it 10 pages in before his ADHD started acting up. And it's the same book.

Yeah I am a bit iffy about this chapter as well as some thing I may have done to the characters. But hey I tired my best I hope you enjoyed.
