In Zora's Domain, Lorenz and Leonie were practicing their spearmanship. Leonie had managed to put Lorenz on the defensive, and she was pressing forward as he avoided her strikes.

However, he ended up spying it when she left her guard open for a moment, and took the opportunity to jab his practice spear into her side.

"Agh!" She took a moment to recover. "Good counter. That sets the score at six-six. One last round?"

"Let's wait on that for now," Lorenz suggested. "Your spear work is excellent. Who was your teacher? Before Link and Sidon, I mean."

"A mercenary captain by the name of Jeralt," Leonie said. "Or, as most people called him, 'the Blade Breaker.' He taught me how to ride, how to fight, and how to fish."

"In that last category, you have the advantage of me," Lorenz joked.

"You really don't know how to fish?" Leonie asked.

"I do not," Lorenz admitted.

"Well, that won't do," Leonie said. "We have to correct that. We'll get a couple of fishing poles, and I'll teach you."

Lorenz might have said fishing was a commoner's sport. But at the moment he wasn't the heir to House Gloucester, and he wouldn't be until the Company found its way back to Fódlan. As of now, he was a hedge knight on a quest. And he had come to realize that involved living off the land.

"Very well then. For today, I am but your humble squire, Lady Pinelli," he said in a jocular tone.

When they actually began fishing, Lorenz found he rather liked it. It was...relaxing, yet at the same time practical.

That night, they returned to the others with enough fish for the whole Company to eat well.

In Kakariko Village, Impa was observing a spar between Felix and Paya. Felix was using a single practice sword, while Paya wielded a pair of practice daggers.

Eventually, it ended with the 'blade' of Felix's practice sword pressed against Paya's throat...just as one of he practice daggers was poking his stomach.

"Very good, both of you," Impa said. "But the Sheikah Arts are more than fine blade work. I think it is time for you to begin learning our magics, Felix."

Felix hesitated. "Magic isn't exactly my strongest suit."

"Nonsense," Impa said. "You are an intelligent young man, Felix. I know you can easily grasp the concepts behind Sheikah magic. You simply need to apply yourself properly."

"I'll help you, Felix," Paya offered. "I have a good grasp of the basics. I can help you study."

Felix thought it over for a few moments. Magic had never interested him much, but if it was integral to the fighting style, then so be it. Besides, turning Paya's offer down might seem rude. "Okay. Where do we start?"

With Elder Kaneli's funeral having passed, Dorothea had decided to pay a visit to Kass and his family in Rito Village, and Sylvain had offered to tag along. Kass had invited the two of them to his daughters' singing practice.

"What are you practicing for?" Dorothea asked Kheel.

"The ceremony where the new Elder gets appointed!" Kheel informed her. "It's coming up soon. We're going to sing at the ceremony."

"We always sing the same songs, though," Genli said. "Wait, Dad says you're a singer. Can you teach us a song we don't know?"

Dorothea thought for a moment. "Maybe so. There is this one song I know, that I could teach you."

She began to sing. "Blue moon, you saw me standing alone, without a dream in my heart, without a love of my own. Blue moon, you knew just what I was there for, you heard me saying a prayer for, someone I really could care for. And then there suddenly appeared before me, the only one my arms would hold. I heard somebody whisper, "please adore me," and when I looked to the moon it turned to gold. Blue moon, now I'm no longer alone, without a dream in my heart, without a love of my own."

"Bravo! Bravo! Very nice!" Sylvain cheered.

"It is a nice song," Kass agreed. "Still, I hope there are still a few years between now and the day my daughters have cause to sing it."

"Oh...right," Dorothea realized.

"The two of you seem happy together," Kass noted.

"Well, when you find that someone who understands you like no one else, what you had before just doesn't seem that appealing anymore," Sylvain noted. "You would know."

"That's true enough," Kass agreed.

Suddenly, the ground shook and a Shrine rose from it. "What happened?" Dorothea asked.

"I don't know!" Kheel said. "I was just playing with this Korok leaf, using it to blow air through the music stones, and I thought it would be fun to use the music stones to play that one song Dad has us practice, and when I finished, the ground shook."

"I guess we'd better tell Link about the Shrine when he comes to get us," Sylvain said.

Bit of a shippy chapter today, but that's how it turned out. Also, apparently Frank Sinatra existed in Fódlan at some point, I guess.

Remember, I thrive on interaction!
