Dream Energy Search: Part 2!
Amity Park...
As the Fenton Ghost Assault Vehicle was being driven through the streets of Amity Park at night by Jack as some his family members and a few of his son's friends were riding in said vehicle, all the man could think of: "They are ghosts somewhere else in the world and they're not invading Amity Park like usual? How did in the hell did the Ecto-Exodus Alarm didn't pick this up? It would've woke him and his family up when it went off."
Before he could try to figure that out, he a saw a magical, pink colored portal manifested on the road in front of him and a large blue van had come bursting through it, causing him to yelp as he instantly stomped on the brakes, causing the RV to come to a skidding stop as the blue van also came to a skidding stop as the fronts of the two vans slammed into each other despite the drivers doing the their best to try and halt their momentum.
*CRASH!*
It was almost like whiplash as the occupants of both vehicles slammed into each other as their respective drivers slammed into their windshields, basically cracking them due to the force of the crash.
From inside the Loud's van, Steven had a bubble placed around the group as Bismuth held Annie, Pony and Ed in a protective embrace just barely in time as the van crashed as Lucy, Peridot, Lincoln and Hilda were knocked around as the former two slammed their backs into the doors as the latter two accidently slammed their foreheads into each other as they then fell to the floor of the van, their seat-belts unbuckling before they did.
"Are you guys alright?" Steven asked in worry.
"They're fine, Steven." Bismuth said. "No worries, I got them."
"I'm okay!" Peridot exclaimed as she rubbed her back to ease the pain.
As for Lincoln and Hilda...
When the van crashed, Hilda accidentally slammed her forehead against Lincoln's as the the two then fell to the floor with the blue haired girl landing on her back and the white haired boy landing on top of her by accident. The two just stood there for a few precious moments as they stared into each other's eyes.
But inside their minds however... well, enjoy.
"Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. He's on top of me! W-What do I do? Kick him off? Slap him? Kick him off and then slap him? No, wait, that wouldn't be right. After all, it was just an accident. And besides, if he was going to take advantage of me, he would've done it by now. But he's not, he's just... staring at me. Staring at me with those... caring eyes of his." Hilda thought as she felt her face turn red all over.
"Oh my goodness, I-I'm on top of her. It was an accident. Y-Yeah, just an accident. Wait, why am I not moving? If it's my teenage hormones, then to hell with them. Damn my teenage hormones, damn my humanly instincts, and damn Hilda for being so damn... beautiful!" Lincoln thought as he felt his cheeks turn red as he stared at the girl of his attention before he then thought to himself. "Wait, why did I just think that?!"
Noticing he wasn't getting up despite having the energy to, Hilda smirked a bit. "You know Lincoln, not that I don't mind you being on top of me like, but could you get off of me. It's kind of embarrassing, you know?" She teased a bit as she blushed at the close contact of the two teens.
Lincoln was snapped back into reality when he heard that as he instantly blushed even more as he let out a yelp before he scooted back away from the downed adventurer, slamming his back into the window as the adventurer began to sit back up.
"Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, I'm so sorry Hilda! I didn't mean to fall on you! If you thought that I was trying to take advantage of you or anything of the sort, I wasn't! I swear! I'm not like that!" Lincoln apologized while trying to not have a heart attack at that particular moment.
Hilda covered her mouth to suppress the giggles that bubbling to escape from her throat as her face turned even more red in the cheeks at the white haired teen's freak out. "D-Don't worry, L-Lincoln. I know it was an accident. No need for you to freak out."
"That's a relief." Lincoln said as he helped the blue haired adventurer up. "Sorry about that little freak out."
"No need to apologize Lincoln. I get it." Hilda said in an understanding tone.
"You guys alright?" Bismuth asked.
"Yeah, we're fine." Lincoln said in relief.
"What about you guys?"
"We're good." Annie said.
"I wonder if the people in the other vehicle are alright." Pony wondered.
"Let's go out there and find out." Lucy said in her usual monotone voice.
Getting out of their respective vehicles, the two groups are finally face to face with each other.
Taking a moment to look at Danny and his group, it consisted of a rather pudgy adult man, a slender woman with red googles over her eyes and a blue jumpsuit, a young girl who almost looked like a younger, female version of Danny, a young woman in a pink jumpsuit with a mask covering her face, another young woman with a straight up goth ecstatic, a young man with a black tux and top hat, and finally the Phantom hero himself and they were all looking tired, which considering the situation, it would make sense as to why they would look rather ragged and exhausted.
"Are you guys alright?" Danny asked Steven and the others.
"We're fine, what about you guys?" Hilda asked.
"We're fine." Tucker said. "Trust me, we've been hurt by worse and survived through sheer luck."
"I'm assuming that these guys are part of your own team right?" Annie asked.
"You'd be right. And likewise these people with you are part of yours?" Danny asked.
"Yeah," Pony said. "This is Steven, Bismuth, Peridot, Hilda, Ed, Lucy, and Lincoln."
"Hi there." Steven said.
"Hey." Lucy said.
"Please to meet you all." Lincoln said.
"HI!" Ed shouted as he then rushed forward and shook Danny's hand at a rapid speed. "I AM ED! CAN I HAVE YOUR AUTOGRAPH?!"
Danny spoke, now having been shook awake by the Ed boy's vigorous shaking of his hand. "Y-Yeah! Sure. But later please! We need to stop Nocturne first!"
Lincoln, Steven, and Annie and Pony pulled Ed back.
"Ed, I know you're excited to meet him! I am too, but you shouldn't let your excitement blind you." Lincoln said as he turned to Danny. "Sorry for Ed, he can be really excited when it comes to superheroes."
"I can clearly see that." Danny said, grabbing his still shaking arm and stopping it. "No worries. Anyway, this is my team. My family, Mr. and Mrs. Fenton, my cousin Danielle and my sister Jazz."
"Hi there." Maddie said.
"Nice to meet ya." Jack said with a hardy laugh.
"Nice to meet all of you." Jazz complemented.
"What's up?" Danielle greeted.
"And these are some of my friends." Danny continued. "My girlfriend Sam, the mayor of Amity Park and my tech savvy best friend Tucker and the one in pink is Valerie."
"Hey there." The goth said.
"Nice to meet you." Tucker said, making a peace sign with his fingers.
"Sup dudes." Valerie said, giving a thumbs up.
"All right, now that we've meet up with each other and are done with the introductions. What have you guys got?" Lincoln asked.
Jack pulled out a device that looked like a medium sized square with a bunch of buttons that looked like the United States and the 7 continents. Pressing a few buttons, a large sized, holographic version of the planet manifested.
"What's that?" Pony asked. "A device that detects ghost activity?"
"Why, yes it is." Jack said. "So far we've found nothing to note. And we've check everywhere for the past three hours."
"Hmm, that is rather tricky..." Pony said as he then closed his eyes.
"What's he doing?" Valerie asked, confused.
"He's thinking, it takes a while though." Annie responded.
"Alright, while he's thinking..." Hilda began as turned at Danny and his team.. "Maybe you guys should tell us what you've. Anything could be useful."
"Hmm, well if I know Nocturne, I think dream drainer's trying to do what he did the last time I faced him." Danny theorized upon thinking about it.
"What did he do?" Maddie asked.
"He put the whole town to sleep and gathered their energy through their dreams." Tucker revealed. "He powered himself and his sleepwalkers and made them stronger through it by using a sort of dream machine on himself to stay asleep in a mattress factory."
"We managed to beat him when me and Danny went into his dream while Jazz held off the sleepwalkers while Tucker shut down the machine." Sam revealed.
"Makes sense considering he is a dream ghost." Steven said. "Hmm, maybe you guys are looking in the wrong places."
"Really, how so Steven?" Sam asked.
"Well, think about it, Sam. Which city has the biggest population in the world?" Steven asked Team Phantom. "I think that's where Nocturne is hiding and growing stronger?"
"Oh, of course." Dani realized. "Alright, let's think on which city has the largest population."
With that, the conjoined group of people began think on that topic... for 5 straight minutes.
Suddenly, Pony opened his eyes.
"I got it." Pony said.
"What'd you got?" Steven asked.
"I think Tokyo is the largest city with the biggest population." Pony said.
"Really?" Peridot asked. "Are you physic?"
"Nope, just took the time to think on it." Pony said.
Jazz took out her phone and search on it.
"Wow, he's right." Jazz said surprised before showing the gang the results on her phone.
"Alright, Pony. Coming through in the clutch." Annie said, giving her animal friend a high five.
"Glad I can help." Pony replied.
"All up for going to Tokyo?" Bismuth raising her hand.
"Let's do it!" Peridot said, feeling pumped up.
"That's the spirit, Peridot!" Jack said, ruffling the little gem's hair.
"I hear that. Let's go stop Nocturne!" Hilda said, joining in on the two's energetic behavior.
"Whoa, whoa, hold up you guys." Lincoln said, bringing the three's attention to him. "I hate to be that guy, but I think we need a plan first instead of just rushing in blindly."
"Lincoln's right." Jazz said. "If we just go in guns blazing, we'll certainly be hurt or worse, killed."
"And then they're be no one left to stop Nocturne." Steven agreed with the two.
"Hmm, we'll why don't we go to Tokyo and think of something on the way there." Lucy suggested.
"I agree." Danny said before turning to Steven. "Hey Steven, how much can your lion carry?"
"Hmm, I don't know, but I do know that when he uses his portal making powers, especially when it comes to transporting us to long distance places like say the moon for example, it'll leave him really exhausted. Believe me, he actually did transport me, Peridot and some of our gem friends to the moon and back once or twice and he was tired. So he'll have to make a few trips to get all of us there."
"Okay, all in favor for using Steven's lion to get to Tokyo?" Tucker asked, raising his hand.
Everyone else raised their hands as well.
"Alright Nocturne. I hope you're ready to wake up cause we're ready to wake you up." Hilda thought to herself with a angry yet determined look on her face as she got on Lion's back alongside Lincoln, Lucy, Steven, Ed, and Peridot as Bismuth, Annie and Pony went into Lion's mane once more. "And if I see a Marra, I'm getting some answers from them one way or another to see what the Rat King told me was true or if he was just messing with me."
To be continued...
