Time for Castle Siege: 4 Days
*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!*
"Nskr!? Huh?! Wh-who's that?" a short elderly man with fanned-out white hair snorted as he woke up, rubbing his shut eyes as he reached for a pair of goggles, "At this time of night...Link my boy, you really need t-" he began as he moved out of bed with the knocks getting a bit louder, "Alright I'm coming!"
"Wha…" a white-haired woman mumbled, starting to get up as well.
"It's either Link or a Bokoblin is looking for scraps again, dear," the old man explained, "Then again...it better not be a salesman. I don't care if it throws out my back again, I'm using the Ancient Chainsword on them if it is."
"I'll have the salve on standby…"
The old man just nodded, slipping the goggles on as he walked to the front door, "Alright..who is it? Link, A Bokoblin?...that annoying mask salesman from the other d-" he began as he opened the door.
"Check it, Robbie!" Purah declared as she did her signature pose.
"..." the old man slowly blinked behind his goggles as he looked at the tall young woman before him, "...Purah?"
"Eeyup."
"...I'm not dreaming am I?"
"Nope."
"...Jerrin, honey, I think I've finally hit dementia!" Robbie called out.
"Nope! I…" Purah began, spinning in place for a moment as she posed again, "Managed to complete my Age Reversing Rune!"
"Ahem."
"...With some very big help from Sento Kiryu here," Purah smoothly continued.
"...and he is…"
"The gentleman standing behind her," Sento spoke, poking his head out from behind Purah with the mini-Guardian floating over his head, "Hello~ Also..." he began as he held the Sheikah Slate up, "Say cheese."
Before Robbie could say something as his wife walked down the stairs, Sento pressed the rune. Jerrin and Purah covered their eyes from the quick flash. Jerrin lowered her hands and gasped, a hand covering her mouth in her surprise. Robbie stumbled back, rubbing his eyes, until stopping by a strange metal contraption resembling a robot of sorts embedded into the floor.
"Ugh! What was that a…" Robbie began before glancing at his reflection in the machine, "!?"
His shorter, winkled statue was gone. Replaced by a taller youthful body with his formerly balding top covered in fresh white locks of hair.
"...And we're sure I don't have dementia?" Robbie cautiously asked.
"Dear...Clothes?" Jerrin advised.
"Hm?" he looked down to see his once fitting pajamas now in shreds, leaving him in a tattered 'vest' and 'shorts,' "Oh! Uh...One moment."
Several minutes later, Jerrin placed a cup of tea before Sento before sitting down beside Robbie, now wearing a cream and red shirt resembling a lab coat with braided black and white ropes wrapped around his shoulders to connect to a wooden backpack of sorts and baggy white pants and black slipper-like shoes. The now-younger inventor was currently looking at the mini-Guardian, who was making small beeps and whistles while looking around.
"Amazing...You built this from the remains of other much larger Guardians, Sento?" Robbie asked.
"That's right," Sento nodded.
"Ha ha! Amazing, my boy!" Robbie laughed.
"That's not all. The AI for it? It came from one of the Guardians Calamity Ganon infected," Purah added.
"...WHAT!?" Robbie exclaimed, jumping up in shock, "But...But it's acting docile and all hostilities…" his eyes widened, "You've found a way to remove Ganon's control from the Guardians."
"Not that difficult," Sento shrugged, "Several circuits just needed to be bypassed, a few cables replaced, and it can't be controlled. What astounds me is how there's barely any hint of degradation and decay. Your ancestors 10,000 years ago were quite brilliant."
"Well of course!" Robbie declared, shooting up as he struck a pose with his main pointer finger pointing straight up, "When it comes to Sheikah technology, nothing can top it!" a moment went by before he grinned, "And my back didn't pop for once."
"Dear," Jerrin giggled, shaking her head in amusement.
"Speaking of…" Sento glanced at the machine in the middle of the first floor...as a cowlick popped up on his head, "What is that?"
"The Ancient Oven," Robbie explained with a grin, "Just give me the right parts and I can use it to craft any armor or weapon from it! Thanks to Link's contributions, we've got more than enough funding and research data from his escapades with the creations from it!"
"So that arrow of his that destroyed a smaller Guardian in Vah Ruta...That came from this?" Sento asked, looking over the Ancient Oven in awe.
"Correct! See by processing the device the Guardians use to fire their lasers, I was able to reverse engineer it and craft it into smaller arrows that once they come into contact with something, such as a Guardian or an enemy such as Moblin..." Robbie paused as he closed his hands together...before spreading his arms out widely, "Boom! They never knew what hit 'em!"
"And outside of Guardians, any monster that gets hit with them leaves nothing behind; not even a weapon," Jerrin added, "It's a bit of a double-edge sword, so to speak. Especially when Link was looking for some Lynel weapons to use for his quest."
"I see…" Sento noted as he started to examine the Ancient Oven, "And you can craft armor with this as well?"
"Eeyup! Strong enough to withstand even a Guardian's laser!" Robbie beamed, "And it seems Link was able to figure out that, with the help of some Fairies, the armor used all together after being blessed twice by a Fairy can actually increase the damage the weapons the Ancient Oven creates!"
"Heh. Good to see you're still your eccentric self," Purah noted with a light grin.
"I am now that I am my youthful self again!" Robbie laughed before he stopped, "Though...considering you're here…" he paused as he sat back down, giving her a serious look through his goggles, "Are we finally gonna put that little...incident between us and prepare for that?"
"A temporary truce until this is all done with," Purah replied.
"Ah...good then."
"And what is 'that' if I may ask?" Sento asked, pausing from looking at the Ancient Oven.
"Isn't it obvious?" Purah asked as she and Robbie got up.
"We…" Robbie began.
"...Are going to help take back Hyrule Castle!" the two declared as they both pointed up.
Sento nodded, "And how will you do that?"
"For one...getting troops gathered. At best, it'd probably take...four days," Purah explained while holding up the Sheikah Slate, "Seems that the map in here is linked up with Link's map, so teleporting to the different domains will be easy enough to rally the troops."
"And with you showing that it's possible to regain control of the Guardians, this will be quite the game changer!" Robbie grinned, "Jerrin, we're going to be working the Ancient Oven overtime, it seems."
"I'll be sure to provide you with plenty of food in case you get hungry," Jerrin nodded.
"Are there any Guardians in the area?" Sento asked.
"One stuck in the hill down near the Stables," Robbie replied, "It's still active and reacts to any large movement such as running."
"I'll look at it and see if the same circuits and cables are involved," Sento noted, "If I find one that's inactive…"
"Outside the building on your right," Jerrin informed, already cooking some food.
"Perfect. If the right things are missing, then that will also prove that it wasn't just one off," Sento noted as he went out the door.
"Seems I'll be off to see Impa to start rallying the troops," Purah grinned as she tapped on the Slate, "Be back soon with some numbers for how many weapons you'll need to make."
"Whoo! Alright! Time for me to get to work!" Robbie grinned as he put on a pair of strange bronze goggles and made his pose, "Four days is more than enough!"
"...I feel like Sento's about to go Science Mode soon," Ryuga muttered, having finally woken up after that adventure in the Gerudo Desert.
"Bah...I'm too tired to give a care…" Kazumi groaned from their shared sleeping space.
"Just let him get it over with...worst comes to worse we get another bionic kidney…" Gentoku muttered.
"Or Noel-tan shooting us all because of the corgi pillow," Kazumi chuckled.
"Wait...isn't the one you gave to this Noel...the pillow that belonged to the Noel of our world?" Gentoku asked.
"Tomorrow Ryuga's problem…" Ryuga replied, "I really hate these roadtrips, we got our own world to worry about...why we helping other worlds?"
"Because ours is acting MIA for some reason," Gentoku reminded, opening his jacket to reveal the word 'MISSING' on the shirt under it.
"I don't like it either...I barely give a care about our own world...but at least ours has Noel-tan…" Kazumi muttered, "As long as we get back, that's all I give a damn for."
"What the potato says," Gentoku muttered, "But I at least care for our home unlike him."
"Says the former villain!" Kazumi snapped.
"Anti-hero."
"You tried to kill us!"
"In my eyes you were the ones in the wrong."
"I still haven't forgiven you for making me a mutant!" Ryuga added.
"You…"
"KEEP IT DOWN WILL YA?! I'M TRYING TO SLEEP!" Bobo snapped from the next room over.
"You know these walls have no sound insulation!" Rex added as he poked his head in.
"Wait really?" they all blinked.
"NO!" Sari snapped, "Now please pipe down or else I'm testing my new gift on you!"
"New gift?" Kazumi repeated.
"Something she got from the ghost desert amazon over at Gerudo Desert," Ryuga explained.
"Oh…"
"Well...least Mai seems to be having a rest," Makoto muttered as she poked her head in, pausing in brushing her teeth as she wore a maroon-orange tanktop with an acorn on the front and a pair of dark orange shorts, "And not to tempt Murphy, I am getting back to dressing up for today, so...ja ne," she gave a two finger salute as she moved her head back into the doorway.
"Huh...no complaints from that booger," Ryuga noted.
"Ben's flying around, testing out that Rito form," Rex explained.
"Weird power testing, got it." Ryuga nodded.
"Rook…" Rex paused as he gave a yawn, "Is checking on the Interdimensional machine thing, and Lambda and Noel are cooking breakfast I think."
"...what?" Makoto slowly asked as she slowly poked her head back in, a towel over her currently still wet hair.
"Why? Is...that bad?" Rex asked before it dawned on him, "...one of them can't cook, can they?"
"We're doomed…"
"Wait a minute! Yours does that too!?" Ryuga realized as Makoto sniffed the air.
"She's making Volanis Gumbo!" Makoto panicked.
"Volanis what now?" Gentoku blinked.
"Gumbo~!" Mai cheered, skipping past the panicking group.
"She woke up fast!" Rex gawked.
"Yeah...Mai's the only one that can stomach Noellie's cooking thanks to her weird tastebuds," Makoto explained.
"...We need to get out without notice," Gentoku ordered.
"The stable we met Kass in serves breakfast," Kazumi recalled.
"Let me get dressed and we'll sneak out the back," Rex whispered.
"Same," Makoto added.
"Let's get out of here before things get bad!" Ryuga whispered loudly, "At least Sento ain't here…"
"I'm back!" Sento's voice shouted, "Just here for my tools mostly!"
"Every man, woman and ape for themselves!" Ryuga panicked as he ran for the nearest window and proceeded to swan dive out through it.
"Come on...it c-" Sari began mid yawn before stopping, "...no no...I've seen her cook...like something out of a horror movie…"
"Hmm...they seem excited." Sento spoke, hearing the sounds of panic from the other rooms. He then stopped at seeing Noel's cooking, giving a sigh as he grabbed a spoon and took a bite just as the others -besides his friends from his dimension- peeked out to see what would happen, "Hmm…" he muttered seemingly unaffected by the food.
"Wait...he can eat Noel's cooking?" Makoto asked.
"There are others?" Sari blinked.
"Noel." Sento spoke up as he took another bite of her Gumbo, getting her attention, "Hmmm…" he muttered, swallowing it, still seeming fine despite the usual effect of those who tasted her cooking, "This tastes terrible." he smiled bluntly.
"Eh?!" Noel gawked at that...before going into a corner with a depressing aura, "But I worked hard on it…"
"Hmm...maybe…" he spoke while still eating, "But it still tastes bad, gonna have to do better next time."
"Huh?" many blinked.
"Wait. You can eat Noel's cooking, but it doesn't taste good to you?" Makoto asked.
"I'm not Mai." Sento added, eating another bite, "I just have built up an immunity to the galaxy's strongest venom, and my body is a bit of a funhouse of mutations and genetic alterations." He explained taking another bite, "Noel's cooking has no harmful effect to my body no matter how much I eat."
"Then...why are you eating it?" Sari asked.
"Well she worked hard to make it didn't she? It would be rude not to eat it. But I'm not a liar, I always tell my Noel the truth about her cooking, if she won't taste it, then I will."
"Oh…." Makoto blinked.
"Well I like it at least," Mai argued, already having a bowl as she sat at the nearby table.
"Thank you, Mai-chan!" Noel beamed.
"You still have to try better next time." Sento spoke up, "If you want me to call it good, you'll have to keep practicing." he added while eating still.
"Hai!"
"...wait. Where's Lambda?" Rex asked.
"Breakfast is served."
"OH GEEZ!" Rex yelped as the group turned to see Noel's sister standing behind them, carrying her Blupee in her arms as she motioned to a large table with various flavors on pancakes on it, "...where…"
"Various edible ingredients found in this world," Lambda explained before pouting, "Didn't have enough batter to make a castle with a syrup moat…"
"...Now I'm wondering if all versions of Noel Vermillion can't cook," Gentoku muttered as he, Kazumi and Ryuga walked back in.
"You take that back!" Kazumi snapped before a pancake was stuffed into his mouth.
"No fighting...eat," Lambda stated.
"She's right," Sento spoke, pausing from eating as he looked at the group, "We're gonna have ourselves quite a busy day four days from now."
"Eh? Why's that?" Noel asked.
"Simple…" Sento began as he took a sip of his food, "We're assembling an army to take back Hyrule Castle from Calamity Ganon."
"...HAH?!" Ryuga's shout summed up what everyone else thought.
"Oh dear Celestialsapiens, I think this form makes your ego much bigger," Skurd sighed.
"Oh please…" a Rito with dark green and black feathers huffed as he flew through the air, this one based on a falcon as he wore a pair of dark blue pants with a quiver tied to the back, and an armored vest with the Omnitrix on the right upper part, "You just cannot take my elegance through the wind, Skurd."
"I will make an anchor grow on your tail made of Petrosapien crystal."
"Oh fine…" the Rito huffed as he flew down to a nearby tree and landed on one of its branches.
"Much better. Do you even have a name for this form?"
"Revadoh," the Rito replied, "What is more fitting for the prime specimen of a Rito than a name made from the best of the Divine Beasts and a legendary Rito?"
'This is karma for something I did, isn't it?' Skurd complained, "That's it, I've had enough of this form, so karma for you!" he slapped the Omnitrix, changing Revadoh into Cannonbolt...who ungracefully tumbled out of the tree and face first to the ground below, "M mhm hmhm m mmhmhm (I may have made a mistake)." Skurd muffled out under the Arburian Pelarota.
"Karma...hit you back…" Cannonbolt grunted as he got up, shaking his head a bit to shake off the pain. As he got up, he took notice of Hyrule Castle in the distance..and saw something surrounding it, "...hey. What is that?"
"The castle y-"
"No, not the castle. What's surrounding the castle," Cannonbolt clarified as he tapped on the Omnitrix symbol, changing him into Eye Guy as he looked out into the distance, "...uh oh. Eye think Calamity Ganon's onto us…"
"...why?" Skurd cautiously asked.
"Because he's got an entire army of baddies surrounding the castle." he explained, "And it ain't the dollar store chump grunts either...these are the heavy artillery 'you shall not pass' types!"
"You said it wrong…"
"What?"
"You're supposed to be more dramatic when you say that line. More gravity...more intensity! Mean it!" Skurd declared, "You my good man...are no Sir Ian McKellen!"
"Oh brother…" Eye Guy groaned as he changed back into Ben, "Still, I think we should get back to the others and inform them what's going on."
"I'm mad at you right now…" Skurd huffed, "You have ruined Lord of the Rings for me!"
"...I'll buy you the Limited edition collection with all 3 movies once we're back home."
"Not g-"
"With the director's cut."
"You are good at this," Skurd muttered.
"It helps to have a girlfriend that's movie savvy," Ben smirked as he activated the Omnitrix, stopping on XLR8's icon as he pressed down on the symbol, engulfing him in green light as he changed into his more speedy Alien, "And said girlfriend is probably curious on where I am."
"And cue boyfriend in three...two...one…" Sento began, standing outside the door of the group's temporary home as XLR8 skidded to a halt.
"Hey Sento. You finished that little project for Makoto?" XLR8 asked as he changed back into Ben.
"Yup, and also informed her and the others that we're forming an army to help take back Hyrule Castle," Sento answered.
"...Funny you mentioned that place actually," Ben muttered, making him raise a brow as the two walked in, "There's a huge army surrounding the place right now...and I don't mean the grunt type either. I mean the heavy artillery type."
"Oh great…" Kazumi spoke, "Why do the bad guys always bring out the hard to blow up stuff when you least want them to?"
"Because they usually do it when you start messing with their plans," Ben sighed before it dawned on him, "...wait. Link doesn't know about the army of enemies yet."
"Meaning the poor boy will be literally going through the underworld to take back the castle and rescue the fair princess," Skurd added.
"So basically the Incursean Invasion, only we're dealing with monsters and possibly more corrupt Guardians," Makoto noted.
"Wait, what was that about an invasion?" Rex blinked.
"Yeah, we got majorly invaded a while back," Ben explained, "I'll go into detail later. For now...let's come up with a game plan."
"Rook and I are already making plans for one," Gentoku spoke as he walked in from the back, "For now..Ben, you'll take a team to go search for Link. Ryuga and the others will head out to the other Domains to help build the army we need."
"I also have a new friend working on that." Sento spoke, "Likewise I am enacting a plan that if works, will make an antivirus to free all the Guardians. Turning them to our side."
"Why do you never tell us things?" Gentoku asked.
"Hmm…" he mused, "Let's see...whenever I come up with a plan...does it work if I let my idiot sidekicks in on it? Oh that's right...No! I just ask you to hit this or that...and leave all the thinking to me." Sento smiled, "I mean...we know how that worked when I kicked Gentoku's butt in that tournament."
"You surprised me with another super mode…"
"Mmm-hmm...and who won in spite of you cheating in said tournament?" Sento asked.
"I hate you some days…"
"Yes...I know." Sento smiled, "Oh and by the way...Makoto! I have that thing you want~"
"Sweet!" Makoto beamed as she bolted into the room, "Gimme gimme gimme!"
"Just be extra careful," he explained as he pulled out the Sheikah Slate, "The person who helped me, may have put in a magic app that can...alter people's ages…so please do be careful and not joke around with it. It may be a permanent alteration," he muttered.
"...can do," Makoto whispered with wide eyes as she took it.
"So uh...we're never letting Kajun see this, right?" Ben asked Makoto.
"Oh ho no," Makoto shook her head, "Scared of what she might be able to pull off with a magic tablet…"
"...Age changing magic?" Ryuga raised a brow, "..."
"You're not using it to get into Chuck E Cheese," Sento frowned.
"I wasn't thinking that!"
"I was," Gentoku spoke up, "I just needed one more ticket…"
"I have many deep concerns about your mind," Sento spoke to Gentoku, "Key of which is how much you must have repressed basic emotional responses back when you were a politician and a bad guy."
"Hahaha!" Kazumi laughed.
"You were technically a bad guy too until you met Noel," Gentoku deadpanned.
"That was different!" Kazumi argued, "My Noel-tan woke me up...and embraced me in her angelic light."
"...yeah, pretty sure our Ragna would clock you a new one if he heard you say that about our Noel," Ben muttered with a sweatdrop.
"Ours does that at least three times a day," Ryuga admitted, a sweatdrop on his head.
'Technically the original show you guys are from, Kazumi fawns over someone else,' Makoto thought, '...really would've loved to see how it ended. I was so into my Toku marathon before doing that job for Kokonoe…'
"Moving on…" Gentoku sighed, "Ben, mind taking Mai with you to go find Link? I'd ask Rook to go with you, but I need him to help me with some battle strategies."
"Gotcha," Ben nodded, "Hopefully it shouldn't take us long."
"Makoto's Sheikah Slate should tell you where his current location might be," Sento spoke up.
"It can?" Makoto blinked before tapping the Sheikah Slate's screen, causing the map to pop up, "Oh hey...I think I see an icon representing him near a place called the Lost Woods...which should be….oh...oh wow..." she paused as her eyes widened, "Hyrule...is a lot bigger than we thought…"
"How did we not get lost?" Ben asked.
"I'm...honestly surprised as you are," Sento admitted as they looked at the map.
"Yeah, but you are fond of reminding us of your photographic memory so you could just walk totally backwards," Kazumi argued.
"Exactly." Sento spoke, tapping Kazumi's face, "But time to get a move on, lots to work, and so little time." he began walking away. He then raised his hand and shook his Rabbit bottle before a blur ran past, Kazumi, Gentoku and Ryuga...who all blinked and began patting themselves over, realizing they had just been robbed, "I'll just be taking these." he held up Ryuga's Driver, as well as three identical blue ones, "You won't be needing them till I say so."
"Wh-?! Hey!" Ryuga snapped.
"I'll give them back when they're needed, so...bye," was all Sento said as he ran out in a blur.
"AH!" Ryuga panicked.
"He just jacked your means of turning into a superhero." Rex noted.
"Wait...he can do that too?" Ben blinked, looking at Ryuga.
"Technically we can too," Gentoku stated as he pointed at himself and Kazumi.
"Then why take it?" Sari asked, overhearing all that as she and Mai walked in.
"He has all these rules. He says we shouldn't use our Rider Systems in alternate worlds where the source of our power doesn't exist." Kazumi sighed.
"But given the threat we're gonna be dealing with, this might be the one exception," Gentoku added.
"Given how Ryuga whooped that Thunderblight Ganon back at Vah Naboris, yeah...I think you guys are gonna need to armor up," Sari stated.
"So if all four of you can do that...who's the strongest?" Mai asked.
"I am!" the three all shouted in unison, "HAH!?" they growled all smacking their heads together, "NO ME!"
"It's totally Sento…" Makoto whispered to Mai.
"Oh yeah..."
Link grunted in annoyance as he walked out of a heavy mist, said mist permeating a large forest with various dead and mangled trees surrounding him. Impa told him he'd find the Master Sword somewhere deep in the Lost Woods...and so far he's made no progress in finding it. Every turn he took..poof. He's suddenly back at the entrance...he tried a torch to light the way and it worked for some time...at least until some Stalfoes and Keese popped up and destroyed the stick he was using for the torch. He gave a sigh before picking up another stick, using one of his Fire Arrows to light it as he walked into the mist once more.
"Ah geez...this fog is as thick as peanut butter," Ben's voice muttered as he and Mai walked into the area.
"No kidding...I can barely see in here," Mai muttered as she tried to fan some of the mist away.
"I can try to get rid of it." Ben offered, "Cause this is just crazy."
"Agreed," Skurd added, "For all we know...there could be an axe murderer hiding here~"
"Please don't jinx it," Ben and Mai deadpanned.
"What? Have you never seen a classic horror film...or a bad one? It's always the deep dark woods shrouded in mist...when suddenly the hockey masked nigh immortal behemoth weidling a dull machete...comes after the pretty teenagers...or in this case one pretty girl and an idiot…" Skurd went on, "But then again the idiots tend to die in the most ironic way while the pretty innocent girl survives to the sequel. Which with horror movies...are always terrible."
"N-not helping…" Mai whispered, starting to get nervous at that as she cautiously looked around, "Doesn't help that these trees seem to have faces…" she tensed up when she heard the faint sounds of children giggling, "..."
"...oh that's a new one…" Skurd whispered, "Creepy kids are the worst...it's like Children of the Corn...but in a forest...feels like a Silent Hill level...only thing missing is the overt psychological themes...and the pyramid headed monster swinging around a giant sword."
"You play classic horror games too!?" Ben shouted, "Why!? How?!"
"I needed a lot of hobbies while the good doctor kept me for examination…" Skurd spoke.
"...Yeah, I'm not risking anything," Mai whispered as she brought her spear out, "Ben, please make a torch or something, because I do not wanna risk fighting monsters in a deep dark misty forest!"
"I can probably go Heatblast," Ben offered a better option.
"Well change into him! The faster we find Link, the sooner I…" Mai began as she began to walk ahead a bit.
*CHU!*
...into the face of Link as the two stood there in emotionless surprise.
"...Well….we found him," Skurd spoke up as the two ended up separating.
"Y…!" Mai began as she was about to point a finger at Link before she tensed up, feeling memories starting to swirl within her head...but not her memories. Link's memories….no...no more than that. She seemed to see even more than Link's memories...she saw different Link's, different versions of Hyrule...and they seem to lead back to one thing...one name...Demise.
"You...okay, Mai?" Ben asked as the bluenette stumbled back.
"Huh? Wh-what?" Mai blinked as she regained her senses, "...y-yeah...I think I am."
"You sure, cause Makoto told me you're doing that...causes a lot of nonsense…" Ben spoke.
"...I-I'll tell you later once we're out of this forest," Mai answered, only for Link to shake his head at that, "Eh?"
Link pulled out his current sword and showed it to the two for a moment..before pointing deep into the mist that covered the Lost Woods.
"...Oh there is a sword of great importance here, isn't there?" Skurd asked, earning a nod from the silent Hyalian, "...That would explain the mist. It possibly causes anyone that tries to find it to get lost...hence the name 'Lost Woods', right?" he asked, earning another nod from Link.
"Little on the nose…" Ben chuckled.
"So if Fireplace…" Skurd pointed out, "Flash light...Fire extinguisher…"
"I get it." Ben spoke, "Alright, let's get to looking, cause this place is creeping me out something fierce…"
Link nodded in agreement at that, about to pick up another stick to use as a makeshift torch before a green flash caught his attention, making him look up to see Heatblast standing there...how the grass wasn't catching fire right now he'll never know.
"Least this way we won't run out of torches," Heatblast stated with a smirk.
Link just nodded in response before blinking, seeing Heatblast's 'hair' blowing in the wind as the embers began to trail off in one direction….wait….he recalled how the wind seem to blow on his torches before as he travelled through the mist and how the embers seem to go in one direction, same for any lanterns he came across. It took a moment for him to realize it...before he facepalmed. The answer to travelling through this place...it was right in front of him the entire time!
"Something wrong?" Mai asked before Link pointed at Heatblast's 'hair', "...wait. Are you saying you figured something out?" Link gave her a nod in response before pointing at the embers coming off of Heatblast's head, "...oh I see now...follow where the embers blow off at."
"Embers...you mean from my head?" Heatblast blinked, "Come to think of it, I haven't really felt much of a breeze, since we entered this place. So that must be the fog's doing."
"Well of course. It's magic fog," Skurd pointed out, "Anyway...onwards to the treasure~!"
Link just nodded at that..choosing to ignore how that weird little Chu-Chu could speak and his odd...speaking pattern as he, Heatblast and Mai began to follow down the path the embers were blowing off in.
As they travelled down the path, Mai couldn't help but think back to those memories she saw. Were they truly Link's...or were they his past lives?...It had to be past lives because they all had one thing in common...protecting Hyrule, saving their respective Zelda's...and yet there's one thing that didn't make sense to her. That name Demise...no….it more came up like a curse...the Curse of Demise.
'...Just how deep does this go?' Mai thought as she looked at Link, 'Just who...or what are you really, Link?' the sound of children laughing returned once again as they passed a tree with a 'face' on it, making her tense up as she kept her spear ready.
"Shh...I think I hear something…" Heatblast whispered, holding a fingeras the group continued to walk down the path, "It sounds like...Maracas?"
Link blinked at that before he heard the faint sounds of maracas shaking...it was a faint memory, but there's only one being he knew that would love to shake that type of instrument in joy...could it be possible that being lives here? He did recall it mentioned something about a 'Korok Forest' before, so maybe…
"Oh! I think I see an exit up ahead!" Skurd called out, making the three look ahead to see a narrow path with a large log tunnel in it.
"Oh thank god...now let's hurry a-" Mai began before she noticed something poke out for a moment near the tunnel, "...what was that?"
"I dunno...but we better keep a cautious eye out…" Heatblast whispered as the group stepped through the log tunnel, the area starting to become brighter as they noticed some trees that had branches full of leaves on them...yet they were unaware of the fairly large figure stepping up to them from behind, "Who knows what could be in h-"
"Shalaka~!"
"GH?!" Heatblast and Mai tensed up as they and Link quickly turned, Mai and Link with weapons at the ready and Heatblast charging flames from his hands to shoot.
Standing there holding a pair of red maracas was a large, fairly chubby looking humanoid tree with large 'bushy eyebrows' covering its eyes, the large leef around its pointy nose acting as a beard of sorts while a carrying bag was strapped around its body.
"It's you! We meet again~!" the figure beamed, earning a bank stare from Link before he gave a small smile, "..eh? What's with the silent treatment? Don't you remember me?"
"Dude...we don't know who you are," Heatblast pointed out as he changed back into Ben, "In fact...what are you?"
"Be silent, shape changing demon! I speak not to you...but him!" he pointed to Link...who looked behind him for a while.
Link turned around blinking a few times before pointing to himself in confusion.
"Yes you!" the being declared, "I'm the musician of Korok Forest, the one who brings song and dance! Hestu! Shalaka~!"
Link blinked again before he just shrugged to Ben and Mai.
"...aww skoko~ I thought you remembered me," Hestu 'pouted' as he slumped a bit, "You helped me get my maracas back from those nasty Bokoblins, shoko!"
Link scratched his chin before motioning to his head, and shaking it a few times. As if to try and communicate his memories weren't all back yet.
"Oh~? You lost your memories?" Hestu asked, earning a nod from Link, "Oh~ Hestu understands...still...let Hestu welcome you and your friends…" he began as he spun in place at a high speed, stopping as leaves done up like confetti flew out from behind him, "To Korok Forest, home to the Korok...and the Great Deku Tree~! Shalaka~!"
"Korok?" Mai blinked before the child giggling sound returned, making the group look around to see various wooden beings the size of children walking out of some of the bushes while some floated down via large leaves or sticks with rotating leaves on them, their faces covered in different types of leaf as they looked on at the group in curiosity and awe.
"...well...I am honestly let down yet relieved at the same time," Skurd admitted as he looked at the Koroks.
"Ohh...that changing demon has a weird Chu-Chu on his arm," one Korok spoke.
"He speaks funny, shoko," another added.
"Oh these things are just delightful." Skurd chuckled, "And adorable...so...don't let Noel or Lambda find out."
"Agreed," Mai muttered as she put her spear away, "...and now I feel silly. That children laughing sound we've been hearing...and me being spooked by were just these little guys."
"That's right, shalaka~!" Hestsu beamed as he shook his maracas, "Ohh~! We're just so happy to have travellers visiting here for once...and considering you found your way here with Hestu's friend Link, you must have good hearts too shoko!"
"Yup. We're technically the good guys," Ben chuckled as some of the Koroks were climbing on him, "We're helping Link here find something important."
"Important?" Hestu repeated, "...ohh~ You mean the sword in the ground near The Great Deku tree!."
Ben, Mai and Link blinked at that before Hestu pointed one of his maracas to the left, making them turn to see what looked like a sword resting within a stone triangle in the ground. The sword had a blue handle with interwoven green spirals around it. It had a wide W like crossguard themed after wings with a golden gem in the center. The base of the blade was set in a blue setting, extending out before widening out near the guard, with a symbol in the blade resembling three interconnected triangles. The blade however was scratched, chipped, dulled and covered in rusted spots.
"...wait. Kass mentioned something about a sword deep within the Lost Woods," Ben muttered as the three looked at the swords, "...that's the Master Sword."
"The Blade of Evil's Bane," Skurd added, "It has laid here, awaiting for its master to pull it out...almost like Excalibur awaiting for someone to pull it from the stone."
"Hmm? Who said that...did I doze off again?" a voice spoke up, making the trio tense up as they slowly looked up at the giant tree that stood before them...and saw that it had a face as it looked down at them, "Hrm? Travellers?" the tree pondered before it spotted Link, "Well, well...it's you. You finally decided to return...better late than never. After 100 years, I'd nearly given up hope on seeing you again, Link. Even my patience has limits, you know..."
Link awkwardly scratched his head at that, unsure what to say.
"Hmm...that look on your faces tells me that you have no recollection of me, however…" the tree noted, "I have watched over Hyrule since time immemorial. Many have referred to me over the ages as the GreatDeku Tree…" he said before looking down at the Master Sword, "That sword is the weapon created by the ancient Goddess. The sword that seals the darkness that only the chosen knight can wield against the Calamity Ganon...believe it or not, it was actually you who wielded that sword 100 years ago."
"...much like the Link's before him," Mai whispered.
"Hmm?" the Great Deku Tree blinked at that as he looked at her, "How do you know that, child?"
"L-let's just say, Mr. Great Deku Tree sir...I have this ability that lets me see the memories of things through taste," Mai answered as she took a deep breath to remain calm, "I...ended up accidentally kissing Link here earlier and I saw memories. Not just his memories...but memories of Link's that came before him."
"Wait, seriously?" Ben blinked in surprise at that.
"I know...it honestly freaked me out," Mai whispered to him before looking back up at the Great Deku Tree, "In those memories, I also saw those Link's protect who I assume is Zelda..or rather, her past lives as well from evil, mainly oen that shares one of two names. Ganondorf...and Ganon."
"?!" Link looked at her with wide eyes at that last name.
"But….there's one thing that doesn't make sense to me," Mai muttered as she continued on, "At the end of these memories...there's one name that always comes up...Demise."
"...Demise….that is a name I thought I'd never hear again," the Great Deku Tree frowned a bit, making Link look up at him, "What she says is true, Link...in your past lives, you have wielded the Master Sword to protect the lives of the people of Hyrule...and the Princess Zelda of those time periods….your fate, as well as that of the ones who bear the name Ganon all stem back to Demise and the Goddess Hylia."
"Who...exactly is Demise?" Ben asked.
"The Demon King, the god of all evil that has existed in Hyrule for millenia," the Great Deku tree explained, "Please...all of you. Put your hands on the Master Sword. It will help tell the tale I shall tell you."
The three looked at each other for a moment, giving a light nod as they slowly approached the Master Sword, putting their hands on the butt of the hilt..before their eyes-even Skurd's- flashed. They then noticed they were surrounded by nothing but darkness and fire, the visage of various monstrous figures following a large, muscular humanoid-like being with hair like fire.
"Long before Hyrule became what we know it today...these were savage lands, ravaged by monsters and demons led by Demise to lay the world to waste...and invade the Sacred Realm to make the TriForce his own. However...he was defeated by the Goddess Hylia, sealed within the very realm he sought to conquer," the Great Deku Tree's voice explained as a bright light dispelled the darkness, the figure known as Demise roaring out as he was forced back into the darkness, "Sadly however...the seal did not last forever. Through the plotting of his servant, the Demon Lord Ghirahim, he was able to free himself and regain his original body," the voice continued as the scene changed, showing Demise standing across from Link..or rather...a past version of Link, "Here he had fought your ancestor Link...the very first to wield the Master Sword. The battle was long and hard, but…" the scene changed to show the past Link yelling out as he did a diving stab into Demise's chest, "In the end, good had overcome Demise...but not without one final ploy from the Demon King."
"Extraordinary. You stand as a paragon of your kind, human. You fight like no human or demon I have ever known," Demise gasped out, gripping his bleeding chest as he reached out to the past Link, "Though this is not the end. My hate... never perishes. It is born anew in a cycle with no end! I will rise again. Those like you... Those who share the blood of the goddess and the spirit of the hero... They are eternally bound to this curse. An incarnation of my hatred shall ever follow your kind, dooming them to wander a blood-soaked sea of darkness for all time!" he roared out as he-along with the very scene before him faded into the darkness.
"And it is through this very curse of Demise...that he returned in many a different form," the Great Deku Tree resumed as various images of a large, monstrous pig-like demon or a male Gerudo appeared around them, "Be it the visage of Ganon...or the Gerudo thief of the desert Ganondorf. Through them, Demise was forever interlinked with your and Zelda's past lives Link...and in each of those past lives, you all wielded pieces of the TriForce...you the Courage Link, Zelda the Wisdom...and Ganon the Power...and it is through this curse...this chain of reincarnation, he has returned as the very being that has taken Hyrule Castle as its home...Calamity Ganon." he continued as the area changed back to normal, the trio gasping as they stepped back from the Master Sword, "And that...is the tale of Demise's Curse...and those who are forever interlinked with him."
"Oh god...that was trippy…" Ben muttered.
"This is the best trip I have ever been on...ever~" Skurd cheered, his eyes sparkling.
"But...now we know how big this really is," Mai spoke up once she regained her composure, "Even if Link defeats Calamity Ganon...Demise's Curse will just bring him back in a different form to haunt another Link and Zelda...it's an endless cycle of hate."
"Sadly this is true, but…" the Great Deku Tree paused as he looked down at Link, "I believe through Link...the Link that stands before me that this is when the cycle truly ends…Link...please, take hold of the Master Sword and achieve your destiny."
Link looked on at him for a moment before looking at the Master Sword. Before he wanted to get it back so he could rescue Zelda and regain what memories he was still missing, but now...the stakes were higher than he thought….and Mai was right. Even if he took down Calamity Ganon...no. Even if he took down Demise in hsi current for as Calamity Ganon, he'll just return in a different form to attack another version of him and Zelda...no. That won't happen...he was gonna make sure Hyrule would never suffer this nightmare...through this endless nightmare caused by Demise's curse ever again. Taking a deep breath, he used both hands to grip the Master Sword, grunting as he began to try to pull it out. As he did...he felt like his life was slowly being drained, as if the sword was testing him...as he did though, the sword's blade began to glow, the rust and chipped parts on it starting to fade as the blade began to glow in a light-blue light.
"You can do it, man," Ben whispered as he, Mai and Skurd watched on.
"You almost have it out," Mai added.
"Go Link go!" Skurd cheered.
Link grunted as he felt the sword starting to loosen more and more, the young Hylian knight giving off a loud yell as he pulled back with all his might. After a few more moments...it came out. The Master Sword was pulled out of its resting place, the glow on it fading to reveal that the blade was pure, almost as if it never suffered any damage. As he looked on, something began to flash within his mind...not a memory of his...but that of the Master Sword itself.
-flashback-
"Your master will come for you. Until then, you shall rest here." Zelda whispered, looking down at the damaged Master Sword as she laid on her knees while holding her hands in prayer, "Although the Slumber of Restoration will most certainly deprive him of his memories, please trust me when I say that I know he will arrive before you yet again."
"If I may be so bold…" Zelda looked up to see the Great Deku Tree looking down at her, "What is it that you are planning to do next, Princess?"
"...The Master Sword," Zelda spoke as she stood up, looking back down at the Master Sword, "I heard it speak to me...It seems that my role is unfinished. There is still something I must do."
"Hmm...I sense there is great strength in your dedication," the Great Deku Tree noted.
"Great Deku Tree...I ask of you, when he returns...can you please relay this message?" Zelda asked as she began to approach the elder tree, "Tell him I…"
"Now then…" the Great Deku Tree spoke, making her stop in her message, "Words intended for him would sound much better in the tones of your voice, don't you think?"
"...yes," Zelda nodded, giving a soft smile before she knelt down and picked up the Master Sword. Taking a deep breath as she closed her eyes, Zelda slowly and carefully placed the Master Sword into the stone pedestal, restoring some of the damage that was on it as it gave off a faint glow.
-flashback end-
Link's eyes shot open as he looked up at the raised sword, lowering it to look at it. 100 years it had waited for him...no. It felt more than that. After hearing the tale of Demise…he felt as if he was holding an old friend...one he hasn't seen in eons.
"What you just saw happened where you stand 100 years ago…" the Great Deku Tree spoke, "After you were separated from the sword, the princess thought to bring it here where she knew it would be safe under my watch. She continues to fight, trapped deep within the confines of Hyrule Castle. Her heart cascades with faith that you will return. She has a smile like the sun...I would do much to feel its warmth upon me once again."
Link nodded in agreement before looking back at the Master Sword.
"The Master Sword...when used against Calamity Ganon and those tainted by his Malice, it will become suffused with holy light. At such times, the true power of the sword will manifest," the Great Deku Tree stated, "But be warned...do not rely too much on it. Throughout these 100 years it has waited for you, it has lost all but its luster…"
"Wait...are you saying it's not complete or something?" Ben asked as Link tensed in surprise as he looked at the sword in concern.
"This is sadly true yes...However, there is a way to restore it to its full power," the Great Deku Tree answered, "The Trial of the Sword. Should Link complete it...the Master Sword will return to its full glory and will have proven himself once again to wield it." Link looked up at the tree with a determined look, "You wish to start then? Very well. When you return the sword to its resting place, the Trial will begin."
Link nodded in response before looking back at Ben and Mai, showing them the determined look as he pumped his free hand.
"You can do it man," Ben assured, "Once you're finished with the trials, we'll be waiting for you at Hyrule Castle."
"?"
"We're going to help take it back," Mai explained.
"So just know you shall not be fighting alone, dear boy!" Skurd declared, "We shall see to it that Hyrule shall be free of Demise's Curse once and for all!"
Link blinked twice in surprise before smiling at them. He then turned to where he had pulled the Master Sword from with a determined look. He spun the sword around before placing it back where it stood...before vanishing into motes of blue light.
"What the…?!" Mai gawked.
"The Sword has taken him to where the Trial will take place," the Great Deku Tree explained, "I can feel he has found many of the Sheikah Shrines in Hyrule with just the ones here left."
"Shrines?" Ben repeated.
"Ancient tombs for monks of the Sheikah, loyal to Hyrule and impart a blessing from the Goddess Hylia to those who pass the Trial within," the tree explained, "With how skilled Link has relearned, the Master Sword will be fully restored by day's end. Possibly sooner, given the words of encouragement and hope you delivered on him not going alone in rescuing the princess."
"Ahh...Well we've fought alongside him before in two of the Divine Beast, so we know he's got this," Ben replied with a slight nod.
"And it won't be just us to help him take back the castle," Mai added, "I think...all the allies Link has made since he woke up will be there to help as well."
"I would not be surprised. Each time a Link has appeared, he has always been able to touch the hearts of many by being himself," the Great Deku Tree noted, "Now...I believe it is time for you to go. The day of fate will soon happen...and you must be there to give Link your full support."
"Of course, sir," Mai nodded before blinking, "...wait. That means we'll have to go through the Lost Woods again…"
"Worry not, child...Hestu will guide you safely out."
"You called me, shoko?"
"Gh?!" Ben and Mai jumped a bit as they turned, seeing the large Korok standing behind them.
"Hestu, please guide our new friends out of the Lost Woods so that they do not get lost and end up as Stalfoes like so many adults before them," the Great Deku Tree spoke.
"Stalfoes?" Mai repeated.
"Skeletons that walk on their own and attack anyone alive, shoko," Hestu replied.
"..."
"...You okay, shoko?"
"J-Just...peachy," Mai whispered as she visibly shook a bit.
"...Shall we head out then?" Skurd and Ben asked.
"Yes please!"
Time for Castle Siege: 3 Days
Many Zora warriors began to polish their spears, Sidon looking on as he was helping them prepare to take back Hyrule. It was surprising to see a Sheikah arrive in their domain's capital after no contact since Ruta had started to flood everything in the domain, but even more so when they came with a message from Impa on them actually sieging Hyrule Castle to regain control of it. He looked up to where Vah Ruta was, the Divine Beast keeping aim at the castle, and smiled. His sister was ready for the oncoming assault and the downfall of the Calamity.
Time for Castle Siege: 2 Days
A few Rito in armor took aim at a few targets before letting their arrows loose, hitting the center as a faint wind blew past them. The sounds of grunting soon caught their attention as they turned towards a few Gorons...who held their own attempts at a bow as they were crumbled into bits of wood and metal. The Rito knew the Gorons were often master blacksmiths, but bows...maybe that wasn't much their strong suit, but they could tell they were trying their best. Their current Champion Teba seemed to trust the young Goron Yunobo, who had helped Link take back their Divine Beast from Calamity Ganon's control...much like how Like had helped Teba take back their Divine Beast. Both the Goron and the Rito knew they had to help repay Link back by helping to take back Hyrule Castle...the Champions from 100 years ago trusted him that much, so they in turn placed their trust in him.
Time for Castle Siege: 1 Days
Riju said nothing as she carefully placed a golden helm on her personal Sand Seal, a pair of golden horns adorning it as it gave a small bark. She had not expected a Sheikah messenger to arrive days ago, but...deep down she knew this day was coming. The Day Hyrule Castle would be taken back from Calamity Ganon's control. Many of her warriors were prepared for battle, even putting aside their hate for Voes to assist in the incoming assault. She knew...all the Gerudo knew how important this was, especially after Link helped to take back Vah Naboris. This was her true test as a leader...and by Lady Urbosa, she will not let her people down.
Time for Castle Siege: Day of the assault
A gentle breeze blew in the air amidst ruins of what could best be described as a cathedral. Within the ruined structure, Link was knelt down on a knee with his hands held together before a weathered statue of a woman, his eyes closed. Between the hands was a green cap with a yellow band while he wore an intricate green tunic over a white shirt, brown pants, and brown boots. The Sheikah Slate was nestled on his hip and the Master Sword and his shield made by his friend on his back. Set around him were five weapons. One was a massive wide blade that looked more like an axe blade made of a giant chunk of stone, another Mipha's trident, the third an intricate slim bow detailed in blue with a few feathers attached to one end, and the last two being a jade shield and scimitar decorated in gold and gems. He neither paid attention nor heard the sounds of excavation and rebuilding going on outside by various men and women in white outfits working on uncovering and repairing Guardians scattered around the broken cathedral, overseen by Purah. To think...when he first woke up he had no memories of himself and the cathedral was just a set of ruins to him, but now...he knew what he had to do. He had freed the Divine Beast of Calamity Ganon's control, he freed the trapped spirits of his friends, regained his memories from 100 years ago, got the Master Sword back...and knew what his destiny was. A destiny that started eons ago thanks to Demise's curse...and he was intent on ending it once and for all, and getting Zelda back.
"You know to be honest…" Rex began as he slipped bits of armor over his jacket, "I did not expect this...one day, I'm just flying around back home and now...I'm in another world about to head into a big battle."
"Not scared are ya, kid?" Bobo asked as he rested on a crate nearby.
"Nah. To be honest, I'm pretty pumped about this," Rex grinned, "Also...I thought you were gonna stay out of this, Bobo."
"Yeah well chances are if you guys didn't come back, Demon Overlord Piggy will just send his troops to attack our temporary home," Bobo argued as he sat up.
"That is something I am surprised about," Rook admitted as he finished adjusting his Proto-Tool, "The fact Calamity Ganon is just another reincarnated form taken by this Demise Ben and Mai told us about."
"I hate magic," Bobo plainly explained.
"All I care about is beating the noses of many enemies in," Ryuga admitted as he punched the air a few times.
"Sento finally gave you your belt back?" Rex asked.
"Nope." Kazumi sighed, "Even then it's not like we need them to fight."
"We aren't normal humans by any means. Or sure we even count as humans still," Gentoku added, "The process which gave us our powers did come from space."
"From space?" Rook blinked in surprise.
"Let's just say it involved Mars and Pandora's Box," Gentoku stated.
"...probably best we don't ask," Rex whispered to Rook, who nodded a bit in agreement.
"Ryuga's Dad is an alien lunatic who destroys worlds for fun." Kazumi blurted.
"..." Ryuga looked at him, "HA!" he shouted, tackling Kazumi.
"It's more complicated than that…" Gentoku explained, "But said lunatic is also a body snatcher and has run around as a lot of people…"
"Holy…" Rex gawked at that.
"He's a real problem," Gentoku sighed, "He's ruined all our lives, and he's a literal cosmic horror."
"Which is why…!" Ryuga grunted as he had Kazumi in a headlock, "We need to get back home, but we can't thanks to that stupid thief!"
"So until Sento fixes it..." Kazumi began as he tossed Ryuga away, "We're stuck world hopping."
"But why did you guys leave your world?" Rex asked, "I mean this guy is just running around."
"You don't think we don't hate it?" Kazumi asked, "But what are we supposed to do, this guy just pounded us into the ground,"
"Sento can only fight him so much with the crazy powers he has." Gentoku spoke.
"And most likely…" Ryuga grunted as he got up, "He's planning on another form to try and counteract Sento's…"
"That makes it sound like da guy's really petty," Bobo spoke, "...then again, we're about to face a guy who's reincarnated many times just out of hate and spite for an elf boy that defeated him in da past."
"So is that why you chose to travel to other worlds?" Rook asked, "To buy yourselves time to prepare for fighting this enemy once more?"
"Sento is the only smart one out of us." Ryuga spoke, "We're just good at fighting. We're also not very heroic. These two jerks used to be enemies who worked for that jerk."
"It was more complicated!" they both barked in complaint.
"Sento's the only one of us you can call a hero." Ryuga muttered, "He has all these rules, like: Never kill...always save civilians, and stuff like that. He's the genius who has plans to save the world, we're just the muscle."
"So Sento's a jerk genius with a heart of gold," Rex noted.
"More or less," Ryuga sighed, "The only reason I'm even around is cause he saved me...from him." he pointed to Gentoku.
"I will break you…" Gentoku frowned.
"You're only recently a good guy! We did this to Bakazumi all the time for months." Ryuga argued.
"Well I was close to beating you all each time a-"
"Your second encounter with us, you demanded to know who Noel was," Ryuga deadpanned.
"That was different. Leave Noel-tan out of this!" Kazumi barked.
"Wait...they both used to be bad guys?" Bobo asked.
"Mercenary/Anti-Hero!" they barked.
"Don't get me started...Sento's the one who both kicked their asses and talked them out of being stupid. Which...I mean they're still stupid…" Ryuga muttered.
"Hello pot, meet kettle. Have you met?" Kazumi deadpanned.
"At least I was fighting on the right side from the beginning," Ryuga smirked, "You both got your butts handed to you by Sento in a publicly televised tournament, where he then pointed out why your stupid...and got you to join his team!"
"...he has us there," Gentoku muttered, "...We're just thankful the tournament ended before Azrael arrived a-"
"Excuse me," Gentoku looked over to see a Sheikah Ninja knelt down, "You are needed in the war tent to help finalize the assault."
"Eh?" Ryuga blinked.
"The one known as Grand Strategist Sento called for you."
"That jerk…" the three growled, realizing he probably gave himself that title and requested it be used.
"Wonder what he wants?" Rex pondered.
"Hmm...no see here is where the forces will be most bottle necked. If we let them come to us through here, we'll have an advantage." Sento spoke, pointing things out on a map, "It will be safer for all your people as well."
"I see...that way we won't have to worry about the enemy overpowering us through sheer numbers," a white feathered Rito noted as he, a rather meek yet buff Goron, Sidon, and Riju looked down at the map with Sento.
"Exactly, you'll conserve strength this way. I don't like war, but knowing how it works has helped me more times than I enjoy admitting. Sadly I fear Ganon shall not fall for my suggestion of a battle of champions as enemies in my home did." Sento sighed.
"It's never that easy," the Goron sighed a bit before shaking his head, "B-but don't worry! Me and the other Gorons will help keep back any Telos' that come in to attack."
"We have the utmost faith in you and your people, Yunobo," Sidon smiled a bit.
"You called for us, Sento?" Ben asked as he and the others walked in.
"Good. You're all here," Sento noted with a nod, "In order for my plan to work, I need the rest of us to be ready to go in first."
"What now?" most blinked.
"Yes. See we, who all have superpowers and tools and weapons, shall be the first wave to deal with the heavier hitters of Ganon's forces. To do so, I have been working tirelessly...and stolen all your weapons…" it was at this point everyone realized that any of them with weapons they carried on their person suddenly lacked them, "I've upgraded them with items from this wonderful land. Ah yes...Ben give me your arm for another moment if you will."
"What's...AH!" he panicked as Sento grabbed his arm and put Ben into a hold that left his arm free to be worked with while Ben was now facefirst in the ground.
"I don't like that he's in science mode." Ryuga muttered.
"Any hope of getting to Death Mountain before he notices?" Kazumi whispered.
"Ben you okay?" Makoto asked out of concern.
"B-been better…"
"Ah yes as I assumed…" Sento muttered tapping away at the faceplate, "The creator did create various emergency options for you. Such as…"
=Temporary Master Control Authorized=
With that, Sento let Ben go, who quickly shot up with a look of shock and awe.
"Well...I don't hear a thank you." Sento smiled.
"How did you...but that's...I've tried…" Ben spurred in disbelief.
"600 IQ…" Sento pointed to his head, "Very good boy…" he smiled, patting Ben's head, "Also this is only a temporary emergency function. I'd need much more time to decode the full thing. But at least this way I don't have to worry about you dying because you timed out and got trampled by a giant lion centaur monster of violence and evil...so...yes I think you'll be fine." he then turned around to the others, "Right onto the rest," he picked up Makoto's stuff, "Lets see...I overhauled the elemental function, so you should be able to use them all much faster with less risk to its stability. Your suit now has an adaptive elemental protection system, same for the rest with Proto-Armor. Noel's guns now shoot elemental ammo, and I was able to create only so few of these Ancient rounds I made using Robbie's Ancient Arrows as a base, so...short, these are a one shot kill...do not waste them unless it is Big and scary."
"Got it," Noel nodded.
"Rook, I bet you've noticed your Proto-Tool has been feeling...different."
"Admittedly yes," Rook answered as he held it up, "...wait. What did you do to it?"
"I used Guardian technology to enhance it. Sadly the parts are a little heavy compared to the parts I replaced, and I am sorry for that, I just didn't have time to make it the same weight as before, what with so many things to do in 4 days time." Sento sighed, "I know...a blemish on my record. But anyway, now your weapon formations, energy blasts, attacks and etc will be far more effective on Guardian Robots and Ganon's monsters. I tested it out on one of those Bokoblins...I ended up destroying like twenty of them with one shot...really bad time to be lined up like that…" he muttered.
"Oh...well...thank you regardless," Rook whispered.
"Wait...what did you do with that cool lightning sword I got from that Molduga over at Gerudo Desert?" Rex asked.
"Nothing...I just hung it on the wall because it looked cool…" Sento replied simply, "Anywho, onto you Rex." he looked around, "You...are the tricky one as your powers come from the nanites within your body, and unless I had a week to make Guardian Nanites to inject you with, the best I could do are these." he held up some sort of circular patch, he then suddenly slapped it to Rex's shoulder as circuit lines lit up across his arm.
"Ah...what did that do?" he asked.
"Make your sword...but picture...fire." Sento smiled.
"...yes. So much yes," Rex grinned excitedly at that.
He then did so, and his B.F.S. formed before the blade lit up, and altered, transforming into a burning red broadsword much like a Flameblade.
"Again more time and I could make this a permanent buff of your abilities, but I'm on crunch time here." Sento spoke, "But we can talk about that topic after."
"Oh this is so sick…" Rex awed.
"Mai, like with the others I was able to upgrade your spear to change elemental abilities, as well as expand on its abilities to make it like the one the Mai of our dimension has." he spoke up, holding the spear up, "Also in an absolute emergency it can self destruct and...take out anything it's jabbed into...but try not to do that…"
"...duly noted then," Mai whispered with wide eyes as she took her spear back.
"Sari...honestly you and La-chan were the trickiest," Sento admitted before holding up a syringe, "But first.."
"Wh-" Sari began before Sento jabbed the needle into her arm, "Ow~! What was that for?"
"I took a sample of your blood while you were sleeping and you were dangerously close to being taken over by Calamity Ganon's 'virus'," Sento whispered to her, making her tense up at that, "I gave you a vaccine to counteract it should he try it again," he added before moving back a bit, "This brings me to the main point, the antivirus I made to regain controls of the Guardians. From the ones the Sheikah have managed to find, I was able to reactivate and create an antivirus to block Calamity Ganon from taking control, and…" he paused as the mini-Guardian flew out from behind him, "I made it so this little guy can help take over the corrupted Guardians and 'free' them."
"So you want that to be our job?" Sari blinked.
"You have a way with these machines that are more alive, and La-chan is scary strong when motivated, so you two can protect and help this little one." Sento explained as the mini-Guardian gave off a series of whistles and beeps, "Also I think he likes you." he chuckled.
"Ah," Sari noted as the Mini-Guardian floated near her.
"Mission understood…" Lambda spoke as she gained her armor, "Take back Castle and Guardians from Calamity Ganon."
"Seeing that armor still unnerves me a bit," the Rito muttered with the other faction leaders.
"Considering how she helped take down a Lynel that tried to attack the camp and scared her Blupee? Agreed, Teba," Sidon whispered.
"And let me guess, you got some crazy suicide mission fer me as well," Bobo spoke as he looked at Sento.
"Nope. But I do need someone to man the giant gun we built," Sento smirked.
"Giant gun?" Bobo raised a brow, "...go on."
"Well we figured we'd need covering fire, so I made this giant sentry gun." Sento pointed out a window in the tent, "You just gotta shoot monsters and not hit our people."
"Shoot the monsters and not hit our guys. Got it," Bobo replied with a thumbs up.
"Perfect. We're all set then," Sento smiled a bit before stopping, seeing Ryuga, Kazumu and Gentoku looking at him, "What?"
"What about us?" Ryuga asked.
"Oh...right...I still don't trust you three." Sento laughed.
"Oh come on!" they snapped.
"We're literally about to go into battle!" Ryuga snapped.
"Yes, but you guys should be able to handle the enemy outside your armor."
"Hey, uh, I've seen you in that armor. Why not use it if all four of you can?" Ben asked.
"Reasons," Sento explained simply.
"That's...not really an answer."
"Best one you're gonna get," Ryuga sighed.
"We saw what Ryuga could do...so why not let him run wild?" Rex asked.
"You don't fully understand where our powers come from, do you?" Sento sighed, "We aren't humans anymore. We've been genetically altered to the extent we are a constantly changing mutation. Our power comes from a substance that is highly toxic to others. It's in our DNA and powers our armor and weapons."
"So like Sento said, we should be able to handle ourselves outside the armor," Gentoku stated.
"Ahh...got it," Rex noted.
"Excuse me," everyone looked to see a Sheikah Ninja standing at the entrance of the tent, "The troops are ready for battle. All that is left is to give the command."
"Thank you," Sento nodded.
"It is finally time," Tebah whispered, grabbing a bow from nearby as he began to walk out.
"The day we free Hyrule itself from Calamity Ganon," Sidon added, picking up a pair of twin spears as he began to walk out as well.
"I'm really nervous...but I know how important this is!" Yunobo shouted as he hurried out as fast as his legs could carry him.
"The four domains of Hyrule banding together to take back the kingdom," Riju spoke as she began to walk out as well, "Heh...before Calamity Ganon tried to separate us in the past...but now we are unified as one."
"Let's just work hard to make sure everyone comes back from this," Sento spoke with a smile.
"Yes! Let us go into battle, swords at the ready, for this will be our finest hour!" Skurd declared as he raised a tendril in triumph.
"He's gonna go on a fantasy movie bender once we get home, isn't he?" Makoto whispered to Ben.
"I may have promised him the Lord of the Rings movie collection with the director's cut," Ben answered.
"Why are we investing so much in a booger?" Makoto asked.
"He's...useful…" Ben shrugged.
"...True. He's annoying, but...very useful," Makoto muttered.
"Yes and you shall never be rid of me!" Skurd laughed.
"I can and will put you in a freezer once we're home," Makoto warned as she, Mai, and Noel activated their Proto-Armors.
"Yes...and I shall eat all of the girls ice cream." Skurd chuckled, "I've done it before~"
"What?!" the girls minus Makoto exclaimed.
"Makoto put me in there."
"..." they slowly turned their heads to the Beastkin.
"...Take it out on the monsters?" Makoto suggested, now nervous.
"You only get Noel's Chestnut Parfaits for a month when we get home," Mai stated.
"Ah mou~" Makoto groaned as the group stepped outside.
As they did, they walked past multiple large groups, each consisting of Gerudo, Rito, Zora, Goron, and Sheikah ninja. There were even a few Hylians decked out in armor as they wielded various weapons. The group could tell they were all nervous...and yet it did not deter the look of determination each soldier had on their face. Standing at the front were the champions of each tribe...Sidon, Riju, Teba and Yunobo, a serious look upon their faces as they looked out at Hyrule Castle.
"It's finally time…" Sidon whispered as Ben and the others walked up to him and the other Champions.
"It's time to finally end this nightmare," Tebah added.
"I can do this...I can do this…" Yunobo whispered to himself.
"We are waiting for you to give the command," Riju spoke as she looked over at Sento and the others.
"Oh…" Sento nodded, "I've never led people into battle before, normally I ditch others and go in by myself…"
"That's a bad habit of yours." his friends muttered.
"Hmm…" Sento muttered, "I guess if I have anything to say, don't go into battle with the idea of glory, revenge, or victory at all costs." his tone was more serious than normal as he looked on at the army, "Go in with the intent that you will live, and you'll come back! That's the only way you can truly say you've won!"
The army gave a yell as they raised their weapons high into the air, ready to face the enemy head on and take back Hyrule.
"You guys ready for this?" Sento whispered to Ben and the others.
"Dude...you have to ask?" Ben retorted with a grin.
"Good, go clear a path for the chosen one." Sento spoke.
"Got it," Ryuga nodded as he cracked his knuckles.
"Ganon won't know what hit him," Makoto added with a grin.
"Mission start," Noel and Lambda repeated in unison, the former's eyes glowing azure for a moment.
"You know we're ready," Rex grinned as he, Rook, and Sari brought their weapons out.
"Good. Now…" Sento began as he looked out into the distance, seeing some Bokoblins and Moblins beginning to charge at the group as the sun was starting to set.
"Everyone…" Ben began as he pressed down on the Omnitrix, engulfing him in a green flash as Rath took his place, "CHAAAAAAAARGE!"
"This part is always the part I dislike…" Sento sighed as both sides charged in, "But we have no choice in this scenario." he walked forward and kicked a Bokoblin into orbit.
"Oi, you have another plan, don't you?" Ryuga asked, punching a group of Moblins away.
"I always have a plan." Sento spoke, "But at the moment...it's more a concern." he picked up a spear before tossing it through several Moblins in a perfect straight line.
"That's not.." Makoto began, grabbing the club of a Moblin before using it or toss it into a group of them, "Reassuring!"
"Hmm...yes, well sadly we don't have that luxury." Sento spoke, pulling out his drill sword as he swung it and slashed down several Moblin.
"Luxury is for wimps! This is a FIGHT!" Rath spoke, punching his way through Moblins.
"He is right! This is a fight…!" Sidon began, using one of his spears to block a Moblin's club before using the other to stab a charging Bokoblin, "For all of Hyrule!"
"And like heck we're gonna let a bunch of monsters take it over!" Rex added as he used his B.F.S to slice down a group of Bokoblin and Moblin.
"Heads up!" Teba shouted from the air, pulling his bow back as he fired a few Bomb Arrows at a group of Bokoblin archers in the distance, "Lizalfoes and a Hinox coming in from the east!"
"Hinox?" Kazumi repeated before looking to the east, seeing a group of Lizalfoes charging at the group with the large, cyclops-like monster leading the pack, "?!"
"Aim for the eye!" Teba shouted, him and a few Rito firing more arrows at some of the Lizalfoes, "We cannot let it break our ranks!"
"I'm on it!" Mai shouted, using her spear to jump away from some Moblin that tried to strike her before she tossed it right at the Hinox' eye, causing it to roar in pain as it fell back and dissipated into black smoke.
"Way to go, Mai! W-" Sari began before yelping as balls of ice, fire and electricity landed near her, dispersing some of the army, "What the…!"
"Wizzrobes!" Yunobo shouted, holding up a ball of Bokoblin before tossing them at an incoming fireball.
"The heck's a-"Gentoku began as he looked up, seeing a six-man group of gangly looking, humanoid creatures in different colored robes, the opening of their hoods showing a pair of eyes and a fang mouth as they held their staffs up, unleashing more fire, ice, and electric balls at the opposing army. They then laughed as the seemingly vanished before Rook and Noel could shoot them down, reappearing in another spot in the air as they fired more elemental balls at the Hyrulian army.
"Those are gonna be a problem," Sento muttered.
"Your our strategist!" Makoto spoke up in complaint.
"Your right," Sento spoke as he grabbed Rath.
"What are you…"
"Ha!" Sento spun around before chucking Rath high into the air over the robed enemies.
They blinked in confusion before this opening was used to shoot at them. A green flash made them tense before a wave of fire swallowed them up thanks to Heatblast. The alien grunting as he slowed his fall with jets of fire from his hands.
"Uncool man." Heatblast spoke.
"It worked didn't it?" Sento asked.
"...fair enough."
"You go on ahead!" Riju shouted, riding Patricia as the Sand Seal crashed through a large group of Bokonlin and a few Moblin, "We will hold the smaller enemies back!"
"We have even bigger things to deal with ahead." Sento sighed, "Let's move, our goal is to get Link to the castle, only he can end this tragedy."
"Got it!" Noel nodded, kicking back a Bokoblin as she and the others began to run towards the castle gates.
A few Hinox had stepped outside the gate, roaring out before Lambda's blades stabbed them right in their singular eyes, making them cry out in pain as they collapsed and faded away. One Telos attempted to step out before a laser was shot at it from the distance, destroying it upon impact.
"HOO HO YEAH!" Bobo's voice laughed loudly, "NOW DIS IS FIRE POWER!"
"Bobo sounds pretty excited," Kazumi noted as the group rushed through the castle gates.
"I let him man the biggest weapon I could make in 4 days time. He's gonna have lots of fun." Sento spoke.
"So just to be sure...if you had more than 4 days?" Makoto asked.
"At least a week and I could have done something amazing." he spoke, slicing another monster that tried to attack them from the side.
"Ahh...f-" Makoto began before a bunch of red dots began to appear on her and the group, "..."
"...uh oh," Rex whispered as the group looked up..and saw they were surrounded by various corrupted Guardians, flying Guardians and Sentry Guardians, "Ganon must've called in more after what I did last time…"
*ROOOOOOOAAAAAR!*
"...that's not the only things we need to worry about," Heatblast whispered as he looked on a nearby ridge, seeing a few Lynels of gold or silver coloration glaring down at them.
"Lynels…" Lambda whispered.
"Those things are huge!" Makoto gawked.
"And are about to fire at the same time as the Guardians!" Rook added as the beeping sound began to go faster, "MOVE!"
"AHH!" a majority of the group yelped as they barely avoided the plethora of lasers and rain of arrows that was shot at them.
"Ben, provide cover!" Sento shouted.
"Right!" a flash replaced him with Diamondhead as he began forming crystal barriers to protect them and block the bombardment.
"Sari!"
"I've been practicing this for the past few days now, so…" Sari began as she rushed out of their cover, "Better late than never to test it out in battle!"
The Guardians were prepared to fire at her as she got into the center of them, her blades out as she took a deep breath. Her blades then took on an electric green color as she did a quick spinning slash, causing a flash of lighting to crash down on quite a few of the corrupted Guardians as they exploded in blue fire.
"Noel, you and Rook provide her some cover fire!" Sento shouted.
"Hai!" Noel added as she and Rook poked out from behind their cover, taking aim at the Lynels at the nearby ridge as they fired a few shots at them.
Some of the Lynels grunted out from the incoming shots before snarling at the attackers, loading up more arrows as they fired off at the two, only for them to get behind cover in time as the arrows bombarded the crystal barriers.
"Those Lynels are gonna be tough to get by," Rook whispered.
"HA!" Ryuga roared, rushing forward and punching one in the stomach, making it gasp in pain. He then roared and swung up, punching its chin as he sent it flying back.
"Doskoi!" Kazumi roared as he punched one across the face, knocking out several fangs.
"Just die already!" Gentoku complained while lifting one by its hind legs and slamming it into the ground, causing a slight impact crater.
"...Forgot we have three freakishly strong guys amongst us," Makoto muttered.
"They are really good at smashing an uncountable number of powerful goons." Sento spoke, "You should see the kind of robots we have to deal with...Now that is a pain."
"Duly noted," Diamondhead nodded before quickly making another barrier to block an incoming shot from another Lynel and Guardian.
"Need to get to the vantage point so we can get these Guardians out the way," Sari noted as she quickly spun out of the way of another Guardian Laser, swinging her blades as another bolt of lighting shot it down, "Lambda come on! We need to make sure to protect Sprocket!"
"...Sprocket?" Gentoku raised a brow, pausing from slamming a Lynel by the horns.
"What? It's a cute name," Sari argued before one of Lambda's blades dug itself into a Guardian's eyes, making it spark before it exploded.
"I like it," Lambda whispered, holding onto the Mini-Guardian as she flew over to Sari.
"The irony is he has no actual sprockets in him...but eh...names don't need to be literal…" Sento muttered as the two girls ran off.
"...Well I l-ahh!" Noel yelped as a strong gust tried to pull her guns and Rook's Proto-Tool away from them.
"What...the…?!" Rook grunted, trying his best to hold onto his weapon as they were being pulled towards a group of small, grey-colored octopus-like creatures as their mouths were giving a strong inhale.
"Octorocs, capable of shooting rocks from a far distance," Lambda explained, "They can also suck in shields and smaller weapons of any who enters their territory."
"Oh is that all?" Makoto huffed.
"An easy fix." Sento spoke as he turned to Diamondhead, "Transform into that smelly plant alien that also shoots fire!"
"Swampfire?" he blinked, as he did so, "Okay now what?"
"You produce methane correct?"
"Yeah?"
"Let 'em have some." he motioned to the Octorocs.
"Oh!" he realized as he held his hand out and projected a cloud of methane, which got sucked up by the strong suction force of the Octorocs.
They flinched after taking some in, but it wasn't harmful...that is until Sento began picking up small rocks, bits of metal and crystal and tossing them into the air current of their suction. All the debris clicking against one another as they flew through the air before being swallowed up. After a moment, sparks made by the debris and the methane they ingested caused a chain reaction which went…
*BOOOM*
"Stupid monsters...thank god they don't work on Kirby logic," Sento sighed.
"Least we're taking out their heavy hitters!" Ryuga shouted, breaking the horns off of a white-maned Lynel as he kicked it off the ridge.
"...actually...this feels too easy," Sento muttered.
"Eh?"
"...why don't I…" Makoto began before she spotted a red glow, making her look up at the night sky as a red glow began to come off the moon, as if being stained in the color of blood, "...oh that can't be good."
"No...no no no!" Robbie exclaimed in worry as he and Purah were standing beside a large sentry gun Bobo was piloting.
"Not now of all times!" Purah added.
"What?! What's wrong?" Bobo asked.
"A Blood Moon of all nights?!" the two scientists exclaimed.
"How's dat bad!?"
"The monsters the others took out…" Purah began as she looked back at him, a look of fear in her eyes, "They're gonna be brought back…"
"But much stronger," Robbie added, a nervous tone in his normally excitable voice, "It'll also affect the current enemies that are out."
"...Calamity Ganon planned this," the two Sheikah Scientists realized.
"Well no kids here…" Bobo sighed before inhaling deeply, "Son of a-!-!'
Swampfire and his group tensed up as the Guardians, and even the Lynels that they took out began to reform and reappear before their very eyes, their eyes glowing a blood-red as a malicious aura began to surround them. Ryuga attempted to punch one of the Lynels...only for it to growl out in annoyance as it slowly looked down at him.
"...Oh sh-" Ryuga began before the Lynels grabbed and threw him, Kazumi and Gentoku into a nearby building, shattering it upon impact.
"Uh...what's going on?!" Makoto exclaimed before yelping as a Guardian Laster pierced through the diamond Barrier, barely hitting her as it singed a bit of her Proto-Armor.
"I've heard of this from Purah and Robbie...the Blood Moon," Sento frowned, "So...even our enemy is playing this back and forth with us…" he growled.
"Alright...I get it. This is his big plan to mess up everything we worked for," Swampfire spoke as he flashed and turned into Shock Rock, "Alright...two can play that game." he frowned as he began forming a massive energy sword in his hands.
"...That's not the only thing we need to worry about," Rex spoke up, making the group look at him as he looked ahead...and saw four spheres of an all too familiar light beginning to form nearby.
They then began to glow and take on the familiar shapes of Waterblight and Thunderblight Ganon while the other two took on the forms of a pair of Blight Ganons the group hasn't' faced before, one with a mane of literal fire and a large fiery buster sword in place of a hand while the other had a fierce tornado blowing around its bottom half with a pair of large blasters covering the entirety of its arms.
"...Oh you gotta be kidding me," Makoto paled before yelping, rolling out of the way of Waterblight Ganon's mace as it completely shattered the diamond barricades.
Rook prepared to fire at the Blight before he grunted when a blur shot past him, his shoulder armor having been sliced in half as his blood spilled. Mai was about to throw her spear at the Thunderblight Ganon before she cried out, being blasted back by the Blight Ganon with the blasters for arms as the biggest of them, the fiery Blight ganon charged at raised its blade to cut her, ony for Shock Rock to jump in and block it with his blade...well barely as the blow alone nearly cracked it in half.
"Those other two must be the Blights that took down the other Champions…!" Shock Rock grunted as he tried to keep the Fiery Blight Ganon's blade back.
"The Blight of the Gorons and Blight of the Rito...Fireblight Ganon and Windblight Ganon," Skurd noted before Shock Rock was forced back, "And the Blood Moon seems to have given them their full power back as well."
"...Wait...and Sari and Lambda just left..." Makoto realized before quickly jumping back from a slash from the blurring Thunderblight Ganon.
"...Oh that can't be good," Sari whispered as she and Lambda ran, looking on at the ongoing battles taking place in and outside the castle.
"Threat levels escalating...danger level SS," Lambda whispered.
"Oh I don't like the sounds of that."
Lambda couldn't help but nod before she looked ahead, tensing up a bit. She quickly got in front of Sari as she created a shield with her blades, only to cry out as a mace crashed through them and slammed into her chest, sending her flying into Sari as they two flew back a few feet,
"What...was that…?" Sari grunted as she helped Lambda up, who coughed up a bit of blood with bits of her armor cracked.
The two girls looked ahead to see a large, armored humanoid enemy standing not too far from them. It was a tall being wearing armor that looked like it had turned Guardians into a suit, the armor's large faulds had a section resembling the dark flesh like substance they'd seen within corrupted Divine Beasts. Its left arm was a large energy blade, and the right had a large metal ball connected to a four pronged arm and tether.
"...Iron...Knuckle…" Lambda panted, "Ancient enemy...threat level...unknown…"
"..and it's blocking our way…" Sari whispered before frowning a bit, bringing her blades back out as she got into a fighting stance, "Lambda, can you fight?"
"Damage taken...35%," Lambda answered as her blades floated back to her, some sporting cracks while others were broken up a bit, "I...can somewhat manage."
"Good," Sari nodded before looking at Sprocket, who looked on at the two girls in concern, "Sprocket, you go on ahead...we'll take care of this big ol' creep here."
Sprocket gave off a small beep of worry before nodding, giving a few whistles and beeps as it flew off to the spot it and the two girls were originally gonna head to. The Iron Knuckle took notice of it and prepared to swing its mace at it, only for one of Lambda's blades to slash against its armor.
"Hey wait...look Lambda, it has an eye in the armor skirt...just like that creepy stuff we found in the Divine Beasts! Aim for that!" Sari spoke.
"...understood," Lambda nodded as she threw her arm out, letting her blades fly out at the eye Sari just pointed out at, the Iron Knuckle using its energy blade to swat away a few before it grunted in pain when one of the blades slashed the eye.
"Yeah that's right, ugly…" Sari grinned as she and Lambda stood side by side, "You're not gonna stop us from taking back the castle!"
"You will fall," Lambda added in a serious tone.
Rook grunted as one of Windblight Ganon's lasers barely grazed him when he got back behind cover, singing a bit of his Proto-Armor. He then quickly got back out to fire off a few shots at it, only for Thunderblight Ganon to blur in front of it and block the incoming shots with its shield.
"No wonder the previous Champions had a hard time fighting them…!" Rook shouted as he quickly got back behind cover, "These Blights are relentless!"
"Doesn't help we're dealing with Lynels and Guardians!" Makoto shouted, small cracks in her Proto-Armor as she barely avoided another laser, only to cry out when she was sent crashing into an abandoned house by a Gold Lynel's charge.
"There has to be s-kya!" Noel-who sported a few cuts on her Proto-Armor- yelped as she and Mai barely avoided the swing from Fireblight Ganon's blade, "Something we can do!"
"Sento!" Ryuga grunted as he got back up, wiping the blood from his lips, "Gah...I've fought these things…" he spoke up before he suddenly got down on his hands and knees, "Please! Just this once…"
"I know...you have reasons…" Gentoku spoke, getting up from behind some rubble as he sported a bruise on his exposed arm, "Good ones...you always do. Even when you treat us like idiots...you're always doing things while thinking of others…"
"But we think…" Kazumi grunted, a knee on the ground as bits of blood dripped from his head, "No, we need to transform to take these Blight things on."
"...I agree," Sento replied, making the three look at him as he had a serious look on his face, "Ganon wants to fight us with everything he has, including the Blood Moon….we'll give him our best then," he added, pulling out Ryuga, Gentoku and Kazumi's belts out as he tossed them at the trio.
"Yosha!" Ryuga cheered as he held his hand out and grabbed his belt.
"Heh!" Kazumi smirked, catching the blue belt Sento took from him.
"Thank you." Gentoku smiled, catching the same belt.
"Ben, you and the others handle the Lynels and Guardians. The four of us shall take on the Blights." Sento spoke, putting his own Driver on, "Ikuze." he smirked, pulling out a long black tube as he plugged a red device into the top of his belt and pressed a button on the red device twice.
=HAZARD ON! MAX HAZARD ON!=
"No holding back then." Ryuga smirked as he pulled out a large orange knuckle duster like weapon and plugged in a black and orange Fullbottle into it.
=BOTTLE BURN!=
"Leave the fire bastard to me then," Kazumi added as he pulled out an object that looked like a packet with the words 'Robot Schlash Jelly' on it.
=ROBOT JELLY!=
"Guess I have the wind one then," Gentoku added, pulling out another bottle similar to theirs, but was colored purple with the image of a crocodile on it before twisting the cap.
=CROCODILE!=
=DANGER…=
"Henshin!" the four shouted just as the Blight Ganons fired attacks at them. An explosion made the others flinch as it seemed to have hit, only for the smoke to slowly fade to show four figures standing there.
Build grunted as his armor was changed to all black. His arms and legs were covered by red armor with springs in them. Before a large red chest plate locked over him with two cape-like wings shaped like rabbit ears, and a second mask over his helmet making it red with two rabbit Rabbit themed eyes.
=KURENAI NO SPEEDY JUMPER! RABBITRABBIT! YABEI! HAYEI~!=
Cross-Z growled as his armor was orange and black. His arms and legs had armor resembling dragon heads, with shoulder armor matching this, and his entire chest plate looked like a dragon's face to match, orange wings jutted from his back as the orange of his armor was glowing like magma.
=GOKUNETSU KINNIKU! CROSS-Z MAGMA! Achachachachachacha Acha!=
Kazumi was covered in a golden suit of armor with black gauntlets and greaves, golden armor set over his forearms and matching armored shoes. Each shoulder had a shield like armor with a nozzle connected to the bottom. His chest armor was translucent with a engine like design and his mask was the same translucent grey with a horn extending from the top and red eye/visors.
=ROBOT IN GREASE!=
Gentoku was now covered in purple armor with white crack-like patterns along his arms, legs and torso, with purple shoulder armor resembling the tail of a crocodile. He had a black chest plate with multiple white cracks and a green outline. His gloves were white with claws, and his purple armored shoes had white spikes similar to claws. His helmet was black with two purple armor pieces framing the sides of his helmet resembling the jaws of a crocodile, seeming to chomp and make white cracks in his mask with two green eyes.
=CROCODILE IN ROGUE! BURRRRAH!=
'...Oh I am fangirling the fuck out right now~!' Makoto mentally squealed with stars in her eyes, 'A group Rider Henshin!...d'oh...damn time travel rules preventing me from getting autographs from them later!'
Thunderblight Ganon moved forward, only to stop as Build was already before it. It dashed back...only to back into Build, who cut its path off again. It turned around to swing, only to hit nothing. It was then suddenly blindsided by a red blur moving even faster than it, the blur seemed to jump around the air itself to bombard it with attack after attack. The blur came to a stop to reveal Build as his arm was stretched out before it snapped back, using the force to punch Thunderblight Ganon sending it flying into a rock wall.
Waterblight Ganon moved to help, only for a burst of intense heat to push it back. Cross-Z roared as he dashed forward and punched the monster, the heat coming off his fist burning it and exploding sending it flying far away. It tumbled and skipped over the ground, only to blink in shock as Cross-Z dashed forward while fire came off his wings to propel him even faster. Cross-Z growled, grabbing Waterblight Ganon by the face and slamming it into the ground, the ground cracking and suddenly exploding from the force and heat.
Fireblight Ganon charged in to try and slash at Cross-Z, only for Grease to run before it as he grabbed its burning blade, slightly shocking it at the fact he was able to grab the burning hot fire coming off it. Grease growled as he reared his arm back before punching Fireblight Ganon across the face, making part of its mask like face crack. The monster's head whipped back, only for another punch to strike it, and then another, and another, and punch after punch began striking its face repeatedly like a piston. Grease roared as instead of another punch, he grabbed it by the face and lifted it up. He roared as he let go of the sword and held his hand and formed a bright blue gauntlet weapon over his hand, a gold spike extending out before he punched the weapon up and used the pile bunker-like spike to strike deep into the monster and sent it flying upwards into the sky.
Windblight Ganon took off into the air and aimed both its cannon arms at Grease and the others, preparing to fire before a shot hit it in its singular eye, making it stagger a bit before it looked down at Rogue. Rogue growled, aiming a purple colored gun. He grunted as he began shooting, forcing Windblight Ganon to move to avoid each shot. It stopped when it felt something stab into its side, seeing a knife with a valve of some sort on it, stabbing into it. It then flinched when Rogue jumped up and grabbed the knife to hang onto the monster. He then surprised it by removing the handle from the knife and jabbing his gun to connect it with the blade, and the handle linked to the back to make a rifle like weapon. Rogue huffed as he pulled the trigger and unleashed a powerful shot that exploded out Windblight Ganon's back.
"Holy…" Rex gawked.
"They're making them look like chumps," Mai added in awe.
"That's because their master underestimated us," Build spoke up as he stopped near the others, "He thought things were gonna go his way again, much like 100 years ago...however this outcome will be different," he stated as he blurred right up to Thunderblight Ganon and kicked it across the face, forcing it to dispel the thunderballs it was about to throw out.
"You guys follow after the Lynels!" Cross-Z shouted, grabbing the icy chain of Waterblight Ganon's mace as he slammed it into the ground, "We have these guys!"
"He is right," Rook spoke up, making Ben, Rex and the girls look at him, "I spotted them heading to the castle entrance while we were distracted...most likely to prevent us or Link from entering."
"Leave this much to us." Rogue spoke as he slammed Windblight Ganon into the ground.
"Compared to the jerk who could wreck apart a city with his normal punches and kicks…" Grease spoke, tanking a punch from Fireblight Ganon, "This hardly tickles!" He punched it back, making it stagger back before it attempted to hit him with its long fiery mane, only to be punched back once more.
"Right. Ben, you're in charge from here on," Build spoke as he summoned a large sword that seemed merged with a cannon, "We'll catch up real soon."
"'Don't screw it up' is what he means!" the trio of fellow Riders all shouted.
"Right!" Shock Rock nodded as he changed back into Ben, "Let's go guys."
"Right!" the others nodded as they and Ben began to rush off, Noel and Rook firing off a few more shots at a pair of Guardians that tried to shoot at them while Makoto fired off an elemental energy punch at a Sentry Guardian, knocking it off its perch and into the ground below.
"Alright...now…" Build began as he lifted his blade up to block Thunderblight Ganon's slash, "Let's begin shall we?"
"There they are!" Rex shouted as the group skid to a halt, seeing the Lynels from before standing before the main entrance to the castle, "And they look ready...well.." he grinned as he pulled out his electric sword, "So are we."
A loud roar soon caught the group's attention, making some of the Lynels part as a rather large, gold and silver-maned one jumped down from the balcony above, a few scars on its body and one across one of its eye as it held a large spiked, golden club that easily dwarfed the ones a few of the other Lynels wielded.
"...and I assume he is the leader of the Lynels," Rook whispered with a gulp, seeing it tower over them compared to the other Lynels.
"And given the Blood Moon that's out…" Mai added as the group stood ready.
"Ben, any ideas?" Makoto whispered to Ben.
"So far...all I can think is we gotta hit them harder." Ben explained as he flashed into Grimlock, "Lucky me, Grimlock, can hit harder!"
The Alpha Lynel snarled at Grimlock, feeling it to be the biggest threat out of the invaders as it roared out at him. Grimlock roared, transforming to dinosaur mode as he rushed and bit the Alpha Lynel. He growled, knocking it over as the two wrestled around the ground, the Alpha Lynel snarling as it gripped Grimlock's jawns and tossed him to the side. It then quickly grabbed its club and charged right at the Cybertronian, raising it in intent of bashing Grimlock's skull in.
Grimlock roared before unleashing his fire breath on the Lynel mid-charge, the beast crying in pain as it staggered back from the flames. Grimlock learned forward and transformed to Robot mode as he flipped forward, landing on his feet and bringing both fists down on the Lynel with all he had. The Alpha Lynel grunted in pain before snarling, gripping Grimlock's wrist hard as it reeled its head back before ramming its horns right into Grimlcok's head, making him grunt out in pain as he staggered back.
"Okay you...Lynel...hit real hard," Grimlock grunted, rubbing his sore head before quickly using his sword to block the Alpha Lynel's club.
"Ahh!" Makoto yelped as she narrowly dodged the blade of one of the lesser Lynels, "Hey hey! Watch the tail!" she snapped as she delivered an electric uppercut to its jaw.
"Gh!" Rex grunted as he used his Slam Fist to hold back a charging Lynel, the large centaur-like beast actually pushing him back, "Noel...Rook...Need you to take your shot!"
"Kind of...busy here!" Rook shouted as he jumped to the side to avoid a charging Lynel, shifting his Proto-Tool into Bow mode as he fired a few arrows at the beast's back.
"Kya!" Noel screamed as she was barely holding onto the back of a Lynel, the monster trying to buck her off while she tried to shoot it with her guns converted into their shotgun formation.
"How'd she get on its back?!" Mai gawked before yelping, narrowly avoiding a few arrows from a Lynel firing at her.
"Skurd...little help here?!" Grimlock growled out as he was struggling in the clash with the Alpha Lynel's weapon.
"I thought Grimlock could hit harder…" he chuckled before spreading up Grimlock's arms and activated Shock Rock's powers, making them glow with energy.
Grimlock roared, pushing the Alpha Lynel back before using the electric energy to forge a giant battle axe. Grimlock roared as he rushed and slashed at the Alpha Lynel, the blade letting lose a powerful shock on impact with its weapon making the Alpha Lynel roar in pain and stagger back only to be slashed and zapped when the axe struck it again.
"Ha! You, Alpha Lynel, not so tough now huh?!" Grimlock taunted as he was now pushing it back, only to blink when the Alpha Lynel opened its maw...and saw an all too familiar heat starting to form within its throat, "?!"
*BOOOM!*
"Gah!" Grimlock grunted out as he staggered back, sparks coming off his body as his face and front chest sported burn marks. Before he could recover, the Alpha Lynel pounced on top of him and began to pound its club on him, breaking and cracking the diamonds faster than Skurd could create them.
"Are you kidding me?! They can breath fire t-kya!" Makoto cried out as she was blasted back by the fireball fired from the Lynel she was facing.
"Mak-" Mai began before the Lynel she was facing grabbed her spear, using it to swing her around wildly before tossing her hard into the stone stairs, "Ahh!"
"Kya!" Noel screamed as she was tossed hard into Rook, who grunted in pain as he nearly fell off the ledge of the stairs as the two Lynel they were facing towered over them.
"Such...ferocity…" Rook grunted before grabbing Noel and rolled out of the way in time to dodge the two Lynels' stomping hooves.
"Where the heck is Link?!" Rex grunted, his B.F.S sporting some cracks as he clashed with the Lynel's giant sword, "He should...be here by now!"
"Me, Grimlock, wish he knew!" Grimlock grunted as he managed to force the Alpha Lynel off him.
"Something must be keeping the boy!" Skurd guessed before yelping as he quickly created more diamond armor around Grimlock, only for it to be shattered by the Alpha Lynel's club.
"He, Link...won't let us down…!" Grimlock shouted, 'Least...me, Grimlock, hope…'
"Grr...get..off!" Yunobo grunted as he tried to force some revived Bokoblins off him, the Hyrulian Forces struggling with Ganon's Army.
"Of all nights...for a Blood Moon to appear!" Teba grunted as he narrowly avoided a swipe from a Hinox before shooting an arrow at its eye, only for it to block it with its hand.
"Do not give up, comrades!" Sidon shouted before grunting when a Lizalfoes stabbed his side, letting a bit of his blood spill before he stabbed it in turn, "We cannot give up!"
"He is right! We must have faith in Link!" Riju added before yelping when a Moblin halted Patricia, lifting the Sand Seal up by her tusk before tossing her and Riju into a few struggling Gerudo warriors, "GH!"
"Is this truly it?" A Hyalian male asked as he blocked a Bokoblin's club, which shattered his shield upon impact, "Are the events of 100 years ago gonig to happen again?"
"So this is it...thsi is how we go out.." Robbie whispered, standing in the pilot seat of the turret with Ourah as Bobo fired at a few Bokoblin taht tried to climb up to them, "...honestly I thought I'd die by doing one last pose."
"And I thought an experiment in the lab would get me," Purah admitted.
"Yeah well I ain't dying here today!" Bobo argued as he kept firing at the Bokoblins, "Come on, you porkers! You ain't taken me out without a fight! Come on! King Kong a-" he begna before a revving sound caught his and her two Sheikah Scientist's attention, "?"
The Bokoblins stopped in their assault to the look to the side..before a blur passed by as they were all beheaded and faded into smoke.
"...what….was that?" Bobo asked.
"I think that was Link…" Purah whispered.
"And he appeared to be riding a Wolf Guardian…" Robbie added.
"...AMAZING!"
A howling sound soon caught the two army's attention, prompting them to look at a nearby grassy hill. A loud rev could be heard as a figure drove right over the hill and landed into a group of Moblin and Bokoblin. The Hyrulian Army looked on to see that the figure was in truth Link, who seemed to be riding an odd-looking Guardian...no, Divine Beast-like Machine themed after a wolf, a wheel being seen of its front and back.
"...ha ha! I knew he wouldn't let us down!" Sidon beamed.
"Heh...about time," Teba smirked a bit.
"Link~!" Yunobo shouted while crying tears of joy.
"Hm...you certainly kept us waiting," Riju noted with a small grin.
Link shot back a smile before gaining a serious expression, using his diamond shield to deflect a thrown spear from a Lizalfoes. He then gripped the handlebars of his machine as he revved them up a bit, letting him move forward at high speed. He would've been here sooner, but he had to deal with a trial given to him by a mysterious Sheikah Monk...and his reward was the very machine he was riding towards Hyrule Castle. It took him...quite a bit to get a handle of this 'Master Cycle Zero' as the Monk called it, but he was able to get the hang of it. But now he was ready...ready to face Ganon...ready to rescue Zelda...ready to help his friends.
"Ha!" Cross-Z shouted as he kicked back Waterblight Ganon, "Come on! Is that all you got!?"
The Blights began to growl out as they prepared to fire off lasers at the four Riders, only for a revving sound to earn their attention.
"...what was…" Rogue began before Link drove by the four Riders and past the Blights.
"...was that Link...riding a Motorcycle?" Cross-Z blinked behind his helmet.
"It looked like a Divine Beast," Build noted, "Interesting~" he chuckled as he swung his leg stretching out and kicked all four Blight Ganon's away, "We've gotta keep fighting, we need to clear more paths for him."
"Agreed," Grease nodded as he and the other three Kamen Riders charged once more at the four Blights.
"Woah!" Sari yelped as she spun out of the way of the Iron Knuckle's ironball, quickly running up to it as she slashed at its weak point, making it grunt out as it attempted to hit her with its energy blade, only for Lambda to barely block it with one of her leg-blades.
"Observation: Damage from blocking is 29.983 percent lower than initial block at the beginning of combat," Lambda noted.
"Guess we're managing to weaken it," Sari noted, "But it doesn't mean that it's out yet."
"Agreed," Lambda nodded before she flew back, grabbing Sari as the Iron Knuckle tried to swipe at the two with its returning ironball, "Observation; I spotted another eye on its back when I circled around it earlier."
"Wait, what? When did it show up?"
"After the first eye was struck," Lambda explained, "Approximately 2.34561 seconds after the first eye closed after it was struck. It then closed approximately 8.675309 seconds afterwards, which led to the first eye opening in..."
"I get it," Sari quickly spoke, "I'll hit the first eye, then you strike the second the moment it shows up."
"Affirmative," Lambda replied before a revving sound could be heard, "?"
"...What w-" Sari began before Link stopped by her and Lambda on his Master Cycle Zero, quickly using his shield to deflect the Iron Knuckle's ironball, "Link!"
Link shot her a light nod before looking back at the Iron Knuckle, who grunted out as it glared at him.
"Go on ahead. Me and L-" Sari began before her own blades began to fade in and out, "...uh oh. Don't tell me that thing's ironball ended up shorting these out."
Link raised a brow at that...only to shrug a bit as he looked back at Sari. An idea then popped into his head as he quickly hopped off the Master Cycle Zero and opened the back.
"Link, wh-" Sari began as Link reached for something in the opening before standing and turning towards her, presenting the sword and shield he had received from Riju back in the Gerudo Desert, "?! H-Hold on...these look really important. Are you sure you wanna entrust these to me ?"
Link nodded before he quickly snapped his fingers, causing a bolt of lightning to strike the Iron Knuckle as it staggered back, the spirit of Urbosa appearing next to him.
"?! You're…"
"It was at my request," Urbosa answered her earlier question, "I've observed you for a while as you trained with my gift to you, so I decided to make a request to Link that if he sees you, he'll give you my sword and shield. Afterall..." she paused as she gave a light smirk, "Gerudo or not, it is unwise for a female warrior to go into battle unarmed."
"...Thank you, Lady Urbosa," Sari thanked as she accepted the blade and shield.
"Fight on...young warrior," Urbosa said as she vanished.
"Go on ahead, Link," Sari spoke as she turned back towards the Iron Knuckle, who was busy trying to hit Lambda at the moment, "We can take care of this big guy."
Link nodded as he got back onto his Master Cycle Zero, revving it up as he took off once more towards the castle gates.
The Iron Knuckle took notice of him as it quickly turned, preparing to swing its Ironball out before it grunted out in pain, Lambda's blade jamming right into its front eye as one began to form on its back.
"Not a good idea…" Sari began as she spuned her blade a bit, green electric energy beginning to surround it as she charged at the Iron Knuckle's back eye, "...To have your back turned!"
The Iron Knuckle attempted to turn, only to give a low roar as Sari gave an aerial thrust into its back eye, its entire body coursing with electricity as its armor began to crack.
*BOOM!*
"What was that?!" Makoto exclaimed as she quickly jumped back from a Lynel's charge.
"That must've been...Sari and Lambda," Mai grunted, struggling to stand as she used her spear to keep steady.
"Must have...ran into trouble," Noel panted as Rook helped her up.
"We have to...keep fighting," Rook grunted.
"Like heck...we're giving u-" Rex began as he swung his electric sword, only for it to be shattered by the Alpha Lynel's club as it slammed him right into Grimlock.
"Rrgh…" Grimlock grunted, "Stupid horse man thing…"
"Stupid horse man thing kicking our butts."
"What was that!?" Grimlock snapped as Rex, who was trying his best to not look at the angered alien robot.
"Uh….I mean look! A Link riding a wolf motorcycle!" Rex exclaimed as he pointed forward...only to blink at what he just said, "...Wait, what?"
"You honestly think there are motorcycles in this type o-" Skurd began as he and the others looked at the direction Rex pointed at...and saw Link riding in on his Master Cycle Zero, "..."
"Me, Grimlock, not shocked. There giant robot animals, so why not little robot animal bike?" Grimlock asked.
"...Touche."
Link quickly jumped off his Master Cycle Zero as all the Lynels there bgan to zero in on him, pulling his bow out as he loaded it up with an Ancient Arrow.
"?! Take cover!" Makoto exclaimed as the group got behind some cover just as Link let the arrow fly, hitting the centermost Lynel as they all got close together...only to be destroyed by an explosion of blue light as they all vanished in black smoke.
"Wow…" Grimlock spoke in awe as he used his Dino mode to shield the others.
"We knew it could one shot that tiny Guardian in Vah Ruta, but to one shot that thing?! There's nothing left! Not even weapons or attire or anything!" Skurd exclaimed.
"I think we just got real lucky in Link's arrival," Mai whispered with wide eyes.
"Agreed," Skurd seconded.
"What kind of arrow was that?" Noel asked with wide eyes, "He never used those in Vah Naboris."
"I think that was one of those Ancient Arrows Sento mentioned to you," Makoto whispered.
"He gave us stuff like that, but said emergency only…" Rex muttered.
"Ugh…" Grimlock groaned, falling over, "Now we remember…"
Link said nothing as he landed near the group, putting his bow away as he fully stood up before the gates to inside the castle. He then looked back over at the others in slight concern. Even if they were helping him get this far...he couldn't help but worry a bit about any damages and injuries they may have sustained from fighting off those Lynels, including that Alpha Lynel.
"We'll be good...just...just need a second. Magic is such a pain…" Makoto spoke up.
"Grimlock no feel tail…" Grimlock groaned, "Wait...there it is…ow..." he groaned out as he flashed back to Ben.
"Just...got on ahead," Rook spoke.
"We'll...try and catch up," Mai panted.
Link stared at them for a few moments before nodding, looking back at the castle gates as he approached them. Moving the dilapidated doors apart, he stepped inside into a large, damaged throne room with bits of Malice covering the area, a statue of the TriForce being seen above. As he looked around, he noticed a faint light glowing, prompting him to look up and see a fading ball of light above him.
"link….Link...Link…" Zelda's voice weakly called out, "I'm sorry, but...my power isn't strong enough. I can't...hold him…" she said as the light began to fade, revealing a large dark purple object hanging from the ceiling as it pulsated.
A laser began to shoot out from the object as it began to sporadically shoot around the room, destroying parts of the floor while slicing into a few pillars.
"What was…?!" Makoto began as she and the others followed inside..and looked up at the object as a bright blue light could be seen, "Oh ew! What is that!?"
"Is that a purple heart?!" Rex gawked.
"...No...I think…that's a cocoon," Mai realized as the object began to slowly break apart.
"And it is hatching…" Rook added as the object burst open, letting a very large figure fall into the damage floor, causing it to crack as it began to collapse.
"?! Link w-" Noel began as the ground they were standing on began to crumble as well, "?!"
"Oh geez!" Ben exclaimed before quickly transforming into Goop and quickly expanded enough to grab his group and Link, forming into a ball as he began to fall down the collapsing floor, =HANG ON~!=
"Ha!" Build shouted, kicking Thunderblight Ganon away, "We don't have time for this game anymore! We're ending this!"
"Agreed!" Rogue shouted, firing off a few more shots at Windblight Ganon as Grease and Cross-Z held Fireblight Ganon and Waterblight Ganon by their weapons and slammed them into each other.
"I'm getting tired of them anyway!" Cross-Z complained.
"Let's end this!" Grease nodded, "The faster we beat them, the sooner we can jump ahead to help the others."
"Agreed," Build nodded as he began to spin the crank of his belt.
=READY? GO! HAZARD FINISH! RABBITRABBIT FINISH!=
"My Magma will burn them away!" Cross-Z roared, spinning the crank of his belt.
=READY? GO! VOLCANIC FINISH!=
"The Real festival begins now!"
"For the sake of this land, Ganon must be defeated!"
=CRACK UP/SCRAP FINISH!=
"Ikuze!" Build shouted as all four jumped into the air.
The quartet shouted as they rolled forward and aimed their legs out, each of their extended legs began glowing with swirling energy. Each one roared as they suddenly rocketed forward and struck the four Blight Ganons. The four growled as they began pushing them across the path towards the castle, breaking their way through more of the accumulated monsters. With a final shout, the four pierced through the four incarnations of Ganon and left gaping holes in them. The Monsters had but a moment to process their wounds before exploding violently. The Four Riders skidded to a halt along the ground as the path they carved out was lit ablaze with paths of fire, more of the monsters panicking from the damage they caused. After a few moments, the weaker monsters began to flee as the corrupted Guardians looked on for a few moments….and they prepared to fire off at the four Riders. However, a light blue wave soon washed past them, causing the Malice flowing through them to vanish as they stopped their laser attacks.
"...And it seems the girls got Sprocket to the target location," Build noted as he and his fellow Riders stood up, seeing the Guardians looking around in confusion.
"Oi~!" Grease shouted, waving at the Guardians, earning their attention as he pointed at the remaining monsters nearby, "The stupid reincarnating monster's minions are thataway."
One of the Guardians gave a low beep as they began to refocus their lasers, this time aiming them at the fleeing Bokoblins, Lizalfoes, and Moblins as they began to bombard them with lasers while chasing the remaining ones to outside the castle.
"And now the advantage is ours," Rogue noted.
"Not yet…" Build stated as he looked at the castle, "All that leaves is Ganon...We better catch up with the others and see what we can do."
"I'm gonna sock Ganon in his piggy schnoz!" Cross-Z shouted.
"Easy on the magma!" Grease snapped, jumping back from a spurt of magma coming off Cross-Z, "Save it for the giant pig!"
"Will that even taste good?" Rogue deadpanned.
"Magma-dipped pig? Of course it is! But very spicy, too. Bullet was so smug that not even bringing up her lack of pants deterred her smugness after she ate the whole thing once when I couldn't get through the first bite…"
"...Now I want spicy pork a-" Cross-Z began.
"Let's just go," Build sighed, dragging Cross-Z by his helmet as Rogue picked up Grease and carried him off beside Build.
=Oh….everyone okay?= Goop asked as he moved off the others.
"We're okay...but...ew…" Mai gagged a bit as she and the others were covered in bits of Goop's slime.
"Slimey…" Noel muttered as she tried to get the slime out of her hair.
"This stuff better not stain," Rex muttered, having taken his jacket off and flapped it to try and get the slime off.
"Where did we fall into?" Rook pondered as he looked around the giant chamber with what looked like constellations covering the walls, the faint glow of Ganon's Malice permeating the area.
"Was this...under the castle?" Makoto blinked.
=I think so...I just recall falling...and going the only thing that could save everyone at once= Goop explained as he reformed himself to his usual humanoid shape, =It was either this or let everyone land on a giant bed of alien legos...you're welcome=
"...Hey…" Rex blinked a few times as he looked at the bottom of the walls, seeing detailed red glowing images along the bottom, "Is this...some sorta domed map? Look, there's Death Mountain with Vah Rudania. And that's Gerudo Town with Naboris near it!"
Link blinked in surprise as he took notice of this...and it soon hit him. That surprise attack 100 years ago…. Calamity Ganon planned that...using this very room to coordinate his attacks all over Hyrule. It was then a growl caught his and the group's attention, seeing a nearby dust cloud beginning to fade...and reveal the massive being before them as it began to stand...its shadow easily covering all of them. Towering over them was a horrid mishmash of flesh and Guardian parts, covered in a mass amount of Malice as it stood on a pair of legs resembling a Guardian's tendrils. In its many arms were different weapons, each one based on the ones each of the Blight Ganons wielded. It's head was covered in a large red mane began to rise up and glare down at the group, revealing its undead-looking face covered in Guardian parts with a yellow jewel in the center of its forehead, the creature bearing its many sharp fangs at them...especially at Link as it glared at him with its piercing red eyes.
"...Holy moly…" Makoto whispered as everyone began to step back from it, her tail stuck straight up in the air.
"Is...Is that…?" Noel began nervously.
"The Scourge of Hyrule Castle...nay. The Scourge of Hyrule itself," Skurd answered as the towering beast before them roared out, "Calamity Ganon!"
Link just glared back at Calamity Ganon, brandishing his Master Sword and Diamondhead Shield as he stood ready. It was then he recalled the Champions' words...they were ready to initiate their surprise attack on Calamity Ganon.
Atop a village made upon a stone pillar, a massive Divine Beast based upon a bird stood, using a jutted out piece of the pillar as a stand. 'Standing' atop it was a slender Rito in dark feathers and a blue ascot with a white bird-print on the lining.
"Now my moment has finally come. Brace yourself, Ganon, for the sting of my revenge!" the spirit of the Rito Champion declared as Vah Medoh's red laser flickered before unleashing a massive blue beam towards Hyrule Castle.
"This will be our final opportunity," Mipha spoke, bringing her hands together and closing her eyes before bringing her hands out ahead of her as if using them as a targeting reticule before Ruta unleashed a blue laser at the castle, "We will not fail!"
Atop Death Mountain, a Divine Beast based upon a lizard faced the castle, its head split open like a flower where the targeting laser was aimed at the castle. Atop Rhudania, the large muscular spirit of a white-maned Goron with a sash bearing a white lizard print slammed his fists together.
"Let's go, Little Guy! Now! Open up wide, Ganon!" Daruk roared, swinging his arms out and then thrusting them forward in a double punch before Rhudania unleashed its blue laser.
"A hundred years in the making...Hold on, Princess," Urbosa declared as she held up a hand towards the castle, "Our moment has arrived!" she declared before snapping her fingers and Naboris unleashed its laser upon the castle.
"...Oh geez," Sari whispered as she and Lambda arrived at the throne room, both girls looking down at the massive hole, "What happened here?"
"Don't worry, guys! We're here t-" Cross-Z began as he and the other three Riders ran in..and saw the state of the throne room, "...did we miss the battle?"
"Iie," Lambda answered, her visor glowing a bit as she looked down the hole, "The others are down there...along with Calamity Ganon…" her visor beeped for a moment before a faint blue light from outside caught her attention, "...Four lasers incoming. Colliding in exactly six seconds."
"?" Build blinked behind his helmet before looking outside..and tensed when he saw one of the incoming blue lasers, "...MOVE!"
"Wh-" Sari began before Build grabbed them all and jumped down the hole, "Ahh!"
"What was that f-" Grease began as they fell down the hole, only to notice the blue light above as he and the others looked up, seeing all four lasers colliding in the throne room as they began to build up, "...MOVE FASTER!"
Build quickly nodded before managing to land on a falling piece of debris, using the force of his legs to spring down the hole faster, the laser hot on his trail.
Calamity Ganon growled as he prepared to lift his giant energy sword, only to look up and see the glowing blue light coming down towards it. It flinched a bit when Build landed on its face and jumped away...and just in time, too, as the combined lasers of the Four Divine Beast slammed into the corrupted being, causing it to cry out as the laser began to burn its body.
"Holy…!" Rex gawked as he and the others were nearly blown away by the lasers, Build landing near them as he let go of his group members just as Goop turned into Diamondhead to produce a diamond wall to block the shockwave.
"Was that from the Divine Beasts?!" Makoto gawked.
"Whatever it is, it's doing a good amount of damage on Ganon!" Diamondhead grunted as he kept the wall up.
"That's Ganon?!" Cross-Z exclaimed once he and the others in Build's group got a chance to look at Calamity Ganon, "He looks like a giant robot zombie!"
"He must have not been fully revived when we stormed the castle," Build noted as the laser began to die down, Calamity Ganon growling out in pain as it collapsed.
The others tensed as they stood ready, seeing Calamity Ganon twitch a bit as it began to stand up and roar, glaring down at the group..and mainly Link once more...the face of the one that defeated him...no. The face of the one that defeated his many incarnations throughout the Eons...he was determined to finally end this line and resume his rightful place as the ruler of Hyrule...no. The Ruler of the World and Sacred Realm!
"Here it comes!" Rogue shouted as the group quickly departed, dodging the corrupted being's spear as it pierced through Diamondhead's crystal wall.
"Let's change it up," Build spoke, taking the device out of his belt and shaking it several times before a light indicator on it flashed blue and he twitched the gold part of it, making the image on its half go from a red rabbit to a blue tank before plugging it back in.
=TANK & TANK=
"Build Up," Build stated as he turned the crank.
His Red armor cast itself off. Suddenly, around him, an array of 7 little blue tanks formed up around him, the center most holding his buster sword as it folded down into a canon formation. The tanks began shooting at Ganon, making it groan as each shell exploded on impact. Build finished cranking the belt before he jumped into the air, the tanks following his lead. Two attached to each leg as two attached to each arm forming gauntlets and shoulder armor, the Largest lead tank floated up before its caterpillar treads opened up into two capes, as it docked over Build's torso, a blue mask with two tank eyes latched onto his helmet before he grabbed his weapon.
=GOTETSU NO BLUE WARRIOR. TANKTANK! YABEI! SUEI=
Ganon roared and swung at Build with his blade. Everyone tensed before hearing a loud clanging sound as Build held back the large arm blade as the ground had cratered around him. He grunted and began stepping forward and pushed the giant monster back and slammed it into a wall. Build groaned as he kept it pinned with...amazing strength. Even as the other arms tried to attack him, they just bounced off his armor with very little discomfort.
"We'll hold him in place!" Grease declared, "The rest of you hit him with everything you got!"
"We will use our power to keep the beast in place and divert its attention," Rogue added.
"We can take more punishment than you guys, and we gots more stamina! Leave this to us!" Cross-Z cheered.
With that, the three roared as they each rushed forward and tackled Calamity Ganon. They groaned before taking one of his weaponized arms and pinning them down. Build roared as he swung around and pinned the giant sword down, the tanks on his shoulders rotating their canons forward and blasting Ganon. Cross-Z roared as he heated up his hands and grabbed into Ganon, burning the monster with his touch.
"They're right," Diamondhead spoke as he quickly changed into Heatblast, "Let's give this guy everything we have!"
"Agreed!" Makoto shouted as she prepared all three elements within her Proto-Gauntlets.
"We need to finish it in one shot," Rook added, converting his Proto-Tool into its blaster formation as a bright-blue light began to come off its barrel.
"Sento said to save these...well…" Noel began as she reconverted Bolverk into their railcanon formation, only it seemed to be loaded up with energy similar to the Guardians as she took aim.
"It's not my Astral, but it'll be better than nothing!" Mai added as a faint symbol appeared behind her, reeling her spearback as rode-red energy began to come off it.
"Initiating Distortion Drive," Lambda whispered as an energy gate formed before her, a symbol faintly appearing behind her as a large energy blade began to emerge from the gate.
"A Distortion Drive?" Sari asked as she prepped up her sword, which was soon engulfed in electric-green energy once more.
"Ask later!" Rex shouted as he formed his Slam Cannon, before using his new upgrade as it began charging itself with electrical energy.
Link took notice at what the others were doing as he quickly reeled back his Master Sword, energy beginning to shine off it as it began to build up. As Calamity Ganon looked up to roar at Link, Link roared out as he did a quick downward slash, unleashing a bright-blue cutting wave as it headed straight towards the monster.
"NOW!" Heatblast roared as he unleashed a massive wave of flame.
"BIG BANG…!" Makoto began as the energy gate appeared behind her, the Beastkin throwing her fist out as a giant energy fist of fire, ice, and electricity flew out of it, "NOVA!"
"Zero-Gun: Odin!" Noel shouted as she pulled the trigger, unleashing a massive laser of shining blue light as Rook and Rex fired their own respective lasers.
"Calamity Sword," Lambda whispered as she threw her hands out, unleashing a massive energy sword that shot towards Calamity Ganon.
Mai yelled out as she threw her spear with all her might as Sari slashed down, unleashing a large electric cutting wave as it collided with the bluenette's spear as it was engulfed in electric green and rose red energy.
Calamity Ganon roared out as it managed to force the Riders off him and got up...only to cry out as the attacks collided with it as it was sent skidding back towards the wall. It attempted to try and force the attacks away...but the light from the Master Swords cutting wave caused it to hiss in pain...the divine light...the damnable light of the Sacred Realm! It gave one more roar as it was sent crashing into the wall, the attackings slamming into the monster as it was engulfed in a massive explosion.
"Now's not the time to gawk!" Build ordered, loading the bottle he used to transform into his sword while in cannon mode.
"Blast it now!" Cross-Z shouted, removing his knuckle Duster from his Belt and reverting it to its weapon mode and tapping the front.
"Ah!" Grease yelled, loading two purple and silver bottles into his weapon and one into his belt.
"Just shut up and shoot!" Rogue snapped, loading his Crocodile bottle into his Rifle weapon.

Cross-Z and Grease roared, punching their arms forward as their weapons blasted a Dragon made of Magma and a multicolored blast of energy. Build and Rogue aimed their firearms and blasted, unleashing large blasts of blue and purple energy. All four attacks hit Calamity Ganon and exploded on impact.
"...Did...it work?" Mai cautiously asked, catching her spear once it came back to her as the smoke settled...revealing only a dark cloud of smoke where Calamity Ganon once stood.
"Yeah hea! We did it!" Rex beamed.
"...No," Heatblast frowned a bit with Link, the Hylian narrowing his eyes at the smoke, "I don't think we're done yet."
"No...No, we are not," Skurd agreed as the purple smoke began to form into a sphere...which began to expand out as dark purple smoke and Malice began to flow into it.
"Oh crap…" Build realized as he backed up a few steps.
"...What is…" Sidon began, seeing the monsters starting to fade out into smoke as they all began to head towards Hyrule Castle.
"The Blood Moon too?" Teba questioned, seeing the light of the Blood Moon beginning to flow into Hyrule Castle as well.
"This...bodes poorly," Riju whispered.
"Sento...What's going on?" Cross-Z asked as he and the other Riders regrouped with the others.
"Depends...and this is probably gonna affect the manga-reader in you," Build answered as the sphere began to grow bigger, "Do you recall what happened near the end of the Thriller Bark arc in One Piece?"
"You mean when Gecko Moria pulled...that…" Makoto slowly trailed off as her eyes began to widen, "...Oh crap baskets...Ganon's pulling a Shadow Asgard."
"A Shadow what?" Rex blinked twice.
At that, the darkness that was Calamity Ganon began reforming, but this time it was all condensed down...as evident by two human-like legs touched down followed by a pair of arms. The body stood up as the darkness took a solid shape. Bits of armor like those of the Guardians clung to the burnt pinkish-red skin, the armor formed into shoes, spiked armor over each knee, armored fingers and hands, shoulder armor with spikes as dark red flames of energy ignited. The chest was asymmetrical, with random plates covering the abdomen, the right pectoral armor was black with a gold trim and a small red hole in the center, while the left has a large gear like ring exposing glowing red core within as the same flame-like energy burst out. A Skeletal mask covered the face as its jaw opened, three glowing red eyes, and wild hair that stood on end behind its head like a mane. The form towered over them in height, but not by the same extreme as before. It was much more compact, compressed down to 8-9 feet tall.
"I knew it! I knew he would have another form!" Skurd exclaimed.
"Not n-GAH!" Heatblast cried out as Calamity Ganon was instantly before him, its fist slamming against him as it sent the Pyronite rocketing back into one of the walls, shattering it upon impact as the debris fell on top of him.
"What ju-!" Rogue began before Calamity Ganon grabbed him and Grease, slamming them both into the ground as Calamity Ganon ran around the room, dragging them along the ground as bits and pieces of their armor started to break and crack every few seconds until Calamity Ganon threw them into the wall as well, causing them to cry out and lose their transformation as a bloodied Kazumi and Gentoku fell to the floor.
Link tensed as he quickly stood his ground, bringing his diamond shield up to block Calamity Ganon's incoming punch, only for the blow to shatter the shield upon impact as Link staggered back from the resulting shock. He then quickly rolled out of the way of Calamity Ganon's foot before it could stomp on him.
Calamity Ganon snarled as it began to go after Link before quickly turning towards Noel, Rex and Rook as they prepared to take aim at it...only to surprise them as one of his hands formed into the blaster of Windblight Ganon as it fired a laser blast at them, Rex quickly bringing up a shield as the blast made impact.
*BOOOM!*
"He can use...the Blight Ganons' weapons too in this form?" Rex grunted as his shield fell to pieces, a few burn marks on his jacket and face as he fell to a knee.
"They came from him...I would not be surprised," Rook grunted.
"And he's so...relentless…" Noel whispered as she and Rook tried to help Rex up.
"He's fighting like a beast possessed," Makoto whispered before yelping as she jumped back from a punch from Calamity Ganon...only for her tail to be grabbed as he swung her into Cross-Z, the force alone sending the two flying back to where Heatblast was buried as they crashed into the debris, "Ahh!"
"This...is giving me some scary deja vu…" Cross-Z grunted as he used himself to take most of that, "Sit this out…" he grunted getting up and resting the unconscious Makoto on the ground. He then grunted and dragged out Heatblast, "Kid...wake up…" he grunted, shaking him, "Wake up, I said!" he shouted.
"Huh?"
"Now's not the time to be sleeping…" he made him look at the outcold Makoto, a bit of blood dripping down her head as she laid there, "He hurt her...you're not gonna let that fly right?!"
"...gh...like...heck I am…!" Heatblast grunted as he forced himself up.
"Good, because I can use some help here!" Build shouted as he tried tanking Calamity Ganon's blows, each hit causing dents to his armor as he skidded back with each blow.
"Not big enough for Way Big or Humungousaur at full height," Heatblast muttered as he looked around, "But the shape of it…" a flash of green light went off as Echo-Echo replaced him =Is more than enough for Echo-Echo to be a beast= he looked up at Cross-Z as he made a copy to cover Makoto's ears =Get everyone to cover their ears=
"Eh?"
=Just do it!=
"Ahh right!" Cross-Z yelped a bit before looking at the others that were still conscious, "Guys, cover your ears!"
"...Ack! Right!" Mai yelped as she quickly covered her ears with Rook, Noel, and Rex following suit.
"Affirmative…" Lambda nodded as she and Sari covered their own ears.
"Gh...got...it," Gentoku and Kazumi grunted as they woke up, ignoring the bleeding and immense pain in their bodies as they managed to cover their ears.
Link blinked at that for a moment, but he chose to comply anyway as he put his hands over his ears.
=Get ready, you big guy= Echo-Echo spoke before crossing his arms =Melody of…= he glowed before making a ring of Echo-Echo around the perimeter of the area...before all of them began to unleash a massive sonic screech =MALODYYYYYY!-!-!-!=
Calamity Ganon punched back before it noticed the incoming soundwaves, roaring out in pain as they all collided into the berserk monster. It grunted out in pain as it tried to get the ringing out...until an aura of dark flames began to come off it as it began to build up. Calamity Ganon then gave off a loud roar as a massive dark shockwave came off him, pushing the soundwave back as it sent every Echo-Echo in the room flying and crashing into the wall.
"Well that was a bust…" Skurd grunted on top of the original Echo-Echo.
=Oh shut up= Echo-Echo groaned, putting a hand down on the ground...only to pause when he didn't feel the ground =Huh?= he looked down to see the massive stone-like sword =...= he looked nearby to see Mipha's trident nearby along with the slender bow.
"Link must have dropped them," Skurd noted.
=...I'm gonna regret this if any change back into me= Echo-Echo noted as his duplicates vanished until only three, including him, remained.
Calamity Ganon growled as it turned towards Link, who was struggling to get back up. The Calamity let loose another roar and began to charge towards the Hylian before four green flashes went off...and his back exploded from several explosive arrows striking him.
"Oh come now?" Revadoh asked, the bow in his wing/hand, "Really? Going after the Hylian when I am here?"
Calamity Ganon snarled as he turned to attack Revadoh, throwing a fist out before a wall of water sprung before it and blocked the incoming punch.
"Ha ha! Thou shall not win this day, creature of pure darkness! I, Mita, shall not falter!" Ben's Zora form declared as he swung Mipha's Trident around like an expert, bits of water flowing around it.
Ganon formed Windblight's blaster and fired it at Mita only for a red stone-like energy barrier to pop up and bounce it back at Ganon's face and forced the Calamity to stumble back. Darukania snorted, hefting the stone blade onto his shoulder with just one hand like it was weightless.
"You're not messing with my pals anymore, bub!" Ben's Goron form declared, glaring at the Calamity.
Link looked on at the three forms in surprise...and realized he had dropped the other Champions's weapons when he was blown back by Calamity Ganon's punch earlier. A hand in his face made him look up to see Sari offering it. Link nodded before accepting the offered hand and was pulled up by the red head as both drew their blades and shields.
"Lambda, get the others to safety!" Sari called out as she stood ready with Link, "Me, Link, and Ben got this."
"...Affirmative," Lambda nodded, helping to grab Makoto as she flew over to Rex, Noel, and Rook as the latter was helping Kazumi and Gentoku over.
"Doing okay, Sento?" Cross-Z asked as he helped Build up.
"Ah...I'll be fine. But we still need to take this thing down." Build replied. 'Brain don't fail me now. There has to be something here...our Formula for Victory.'
Calamity Ganon snarled as it glared at the remaining threats, mainly at Link, Mita, Darukania, Revahdoh, and Sari...and saw the latter four as the former Champions...the same ones he had his Blights kill 100 years ago.
"Link...please hear me," Zelda's voice echoed within not just Link's mind, but those of the others that stood to fight Calamity Ganon, "Ganon was born out of a dark past...he is a pure embodiment of the ancient evil that is reborn time and time again. However….he has given up on reincarnation, choosing to absorb all his forces to assume a form of pure rage and destruction. If set free upon our world..." she paused as Calamity Ganon roared out, "The destruction will be unlike anything ever seen before...Hyrule will be nothing more than ash in its wake."
'Wait...right now, all of Ganon is back together in a singular form...his original form more or less, even if he is an alternate state, meaning if I were to mess with his DNA now…' Build thought to himself as Formulas floated around him rapidly, "Yosh! Time for Genius!"
"?!" Cross-Z tensed at that as Build pulled out a rather bulky white, blue and yellow item.
"Ryuga...go defend the others," Build stated as he looked on at Calamity Ganon, "We've got this...the Formula for Victory has been set."
"Oh...well this will either turn out real good...or get real dangerous…" Cross-Z muttered before he rushed over to Lambda and the others, "I'm out!"
"Just like that?" Sari asked, seeing how fast Cross-Z bolted.
"Trust me, you never question Genius," Build chuckled, holding up the large blue and yellow bottle that he tapped, making it light up before slotting the entire device into his belt.
=GREAT! ALL YEAH! GENIUS~!=
"Wait...this one is literally called Genius?" all but Link asked.
"Of course it is! I am the smartest! The Greatest!" Build gloated happily as he tapped on the red trigger on his belt to power it up again, "Build Up!" he began cranking as a platform lifted him up.
Conveyor belts began lining up around him, moving dozens of the bottles he used before to enter his base form. White armor began forming over him, replacing his old Black armor. Tubes connected to his armor as the bottles began linking to his armor and painting sections of his armor in Warm and Cool colors in the same asymptotic pattern as his RabbitTank form. A large golden gear formed in his chest plate, as it lit up with all the colors imaginable. A gear like the one on his belt formed on the forehead of his armor. His eyes lit up as the bottles began ejecting energy like fireworks, sparks surged up his body as his eyes flashed brightly.
=GENIUS! BUILD UP! ARE YOU READY? OVERFLOW! KANZEN MUKETSU NO BOTTLE YARO! BUILD~ GENIUS! YABEI! SUGEI~! MONOSUGEI~!=
"Shōri no hōsoku wa kimatta!" Build declared.
(CUE: LAW OF VICTORY)
Build suddenly vanished as everyone blinked. A white blur shot around before punching Calamity Ganon, causing it to grunt out in pain as it staggered back. For a moment, everyone blinked, seeing Build before he vanished once more. Calamity Ganon grunted before another punch struck and sent him flying across the ground towards the others.
"Don't give him a chance to breathe! For my plan to work, I need to land one clean hit to him!" Build spoke, sliding to a stop before he vanished again, Ganon struck from every angle all at once by a white flash of speed.
"...Very well! We shall give him no quarter!" Mita declared as he charged forward, jumping up as a small tidal wave began to form underneath him, of which he landed on and began to ride into battle.
Calamity Ganon turned to strike at Build, only to cry out when Mita's trident stabbed into its side, making it snarl as it turned to try and strike the Zora...only to grunt out when Revadoh fired Bomb Arrows into its face. In its stunned state, Darukania grabbed him from behind, using his strength to swing him around before tossing him towards Sari and Link, who had their blades ready as they delivered a unified diagonal slash on the corrupted monster's chest, leaving an x-shaped gash on its chest as it roared out in pain.
"Hmph! Where was all that rage from earlier?!" Revadoh laughed as he flew to the side to dodge Calamity Ganon's laser shot, "Oh ho! Almost!"
"Show off," Sari rolled out eyes before spinning out of the way of Calamity Ganon's fist, smirking as she jammed her electrified sword into its arm, making it cry out in pain as electricity flowed through its body, 'Heh...I'm really getting the hang of these weapons!'
"INCOMING!" Darukania roared out, rolled up into a ball as he rolled at Ganon at high speeds.
Sari quickly pulled her blade out of Calamity Ganon's arm as she jumped back, letting the Goron slam into the corrupted monster as he was sent flying back. Ganon attempted to get up before Build struck his side again, making him growl out in annoyance as he tried to strike the Rider once again.
"So...you're upset cause you can't hit us? Or because you're losing? The cycle is repeating," Build spoke, vanishing in a burst of speed, "The most basic rule of habit dictates to try the same thing again and again and expect change is the definition of insanity. That sure does sum you up, now doesn't it, Ganon? How many times are you going to fail?"
Calamity Ganon roared out in pure anger at that, forming wings of pure dark flames from its back as it attempted to slam them on Build, only to end up missing as Mita's water quickly doused them. The corrupted monster turned to strike at the Zora, only for its fist to deflect off a fire-red barrier surrounding Link, the faint image of Daruk spreading his arms out.
"You can do this, Little Guy!" Daruk cheered on as he vanished, the Rito Champion Revali soon taking his place as a tornado soon lifted Link up into the air.
"Go now...show Ganon what happens when he has earned my ire!" Revali declared as he vanished.
Link yelled out as he shot down towards Calamity Ganon, his sword raised up as he did a downward slash on his chest, making him cry out in pain from the holy energy as he staggered back.
"Eat this!" Revadoh shouted, loading another Bomb Arrow into his bow and fired it right into Ganon's open mouth, "Build, now!"
Build slid to a stop as he began cranking his belt again.
=One Side! Gyaku Side! All Side! Ready Go! Genius Finish!=
Build's armor began releasing a large amount of multicolored energy. He roared as he jumped into the air. Ganon looked up and moved to intercept since he could follow Build's movements, only to grunt as a Bell Graph suddenly slammed into him from both sides and kept him locked in place. Build grunted, kicking down as he began sliding down the graph before slamming into Ganon's chest, striking the circular armor piece on his chest over his heart. His kick struggled for a moment before a shattering sound filled the air and Build's kick pierced through his chest. Build's energy surged and began coursing through Calamity Ganon's body. The energy didn't stop at just surging through the body as it could be seen; the energy began going deeper and deeper to the cellular level before finding what could be considered DNA.
Ganon roared in pain as the energy shocked him to the point a dull grey smoke began coming off his body. His ethereal red glow fading to a dull grey as his roars of pain grew louder.
"I told you, I'm a genius...your energy is you...It's living, and therefore has the building blocks of life. That is my power. I can restore the DNA of others to normal...or I can remove that which gives them their power!" Build declared as he pulled his leg back and let Ganon fall over, "Link, I believe this last blow is yours!"
"You can do this, my friend!" Mida cheered on.
"End this foul beast once and for all...finally break this cycle of hate Demise started eons ago!" Revahdoh added.
"Give him what for, bud!" Darukania cheered on.
"Go forth and save the princess!" Skurd added.
"You can do it, Link!" Sari added.
Link nodded as he charged right at Calamity Ganon, a faint light shining from the opening Build left in his chest as the Hyalian warrior jumped up to prepare for a downward stab. Calamity Ganon looked up and saw him..and saw flashes of the Links before him as they all gave a defiant yell….no. No! He was the demon king...He was finally getting his revenge! He was going to end Link's spirit and Zelda's bloodline! He…!
*STAB!*
...Received the blade of the Master Sword right into his face, making him cry out as his form began to break and crack apart, a ball of light starting to fly out of him.
(END THEME)
Link looked up at the ball as it began to grow in size, landing near him as it began to fade...to reveal the form of Zelda as she wore a white dress with a piece of the TriForce glowing on her hand. Small gold pendants and bracelets faintly decorated her, complimenting the white dress.
Calamity Ganon took notice of this before he changed into a plume of smoke, barely changing into the fading form of his bestial spirit as he attempted to fly away. As he flew by Zelda with a roar, the young princess closed her eyes as she held her hand out. A bright golden light shined from her hand as the TriForce glowed, unleashing a mass wave of light as it began to engulf the entire room. Calamity Ganon attempted to get away from the light...but it was too laight. By the time he reached the throne room, the light soon engulfed him, burning his form as he gave a cry of sheer pain. As he began to fade, he looked on at the TriForce...and gave one last defiant roar, cursing the Goddess, Link, and Zelda as he vanished from view...no sign of him remaining...Calamity Ganon...no...Demise's Curse was no more.
The Hyrulian Army took notice of the bright golden light shining from Hyrule castle, feeling its warmth wash over them as their wounds slowly began to vanish. They then looked up to see a large orb of light slowly descending before them, landing as the light began to fade...revealing the forms of Link, Zelda, and our other heroes as their own injuries were gone.
"They...they did it…" Yunobo whispered.
"They rescued the princess," Sidon added.
"Ganon's forces are gone," Teba added.
"No...it would seem Ganon is no more," Riju noted, seeing the Malice that surrounded Hyrule castle fade away...before cringing on seeing a few parts of the castle collapse due to the Malice being the only thing keeping them up.
"I swear, I am considerin' early retirement the moment I get back home…" Bobo mumbled, lying against the big gun with his handheld ones still smoking from overuse.
"I'd never thought I'd see the day it would happen…" Robbie whispered.
"And yet it did happen...we lived long enough to see it firsthand," Purah added, "Calamity Ganon…"
"IS NO MORE!" the two Sheikah Scientists declared as the army cheered on in victory.
"That's it...next world...I'm not saving anything!" Cross-Z complained, floating down while carrying everyone, "It...can end for all I care…" he grunted falling over, "Tired…" he groaned as his armor began steaming...making everyone flinch and jump away from his body overheating.
"That's actually magma!?" Mai gawked.
"It's called Cross-Z Magma...What? Did you think it's called that 'cause it's cool?" he groaned as his armor canceled, it actually cooled off and fell as volcanic rock around them, "I...stop questioning why he made this so visually interesting…"
"Wow...He must be as tough as a Goron if he can walk around wearing magma," a nearby Goron noted.
"I'd beli-" Darukania began before a beeping sound could be heard, prompting him, Mida and Revadoh to look down at the Omnitrix symbols on them, "...uh oh."
"Change you fools!" Skurd snapped.
"Ahh!" The trio yelped a bit as they changed back into Echo-Echo, the other two merging back with the center one as he changed back into Ben in time.
"That was close…" Skurd sighed, "Last thing I needed where three of you…"
"Alright, the day is saved!" Build cheered, appearing next to them in a flash of movement, making them all jump, "And no losses on our side, so total win!" he laughed as he became blurry for a moment, "Just double checking. Almost no monsters anywhere now." he became blurry again, "And you should all be healed up since I temporarily accelerated all your metabolisms. But you are gonna have some crazy munchies."
"H-how...Wait, have you had the power to alter DNA the whole time?!" Ben asked.
"Yes," Build nodded simply, "Why do you think it's so easy for me to hack your Omnitrix while you can't even turn on its wifi hotspot?"
"This thing has a WiFi hotspot function?" Ben asked in shock.
"Did you seriously forget about that?" Skurd deadpanned.
"Give me a break! I...I…" Ben began as he staggered a bit..before falling down right next to the sleeping Makoto, "...am really tired...also really hungry."
"Like I said...munchies." Build spoke, "Wait 'till Makoto wakes up, oh boy~" he chuckled, "Well I'd love to play doctor, but...I'm not gonna. More important work to be done!" he vanished in a flash of speed once more.
"...You have made...quite the interesting friends, Link," Zelda noted.
Link couldn't help but nod in agreement as he looked on at Ben and the others...She was right. They were quite the interesting group….odd, yet he found them to be friends regardless.
Day after the Castle Siege
"Oooh….god, I'm stuffed," Makoto groaned as she and the others staggered back into their temporary home, "That….was one hell of a feast…"
"Who knew Gerudo cuisine was so…" Ryuga began before belching out a bit of fire, "...spicy."
"Those apple pies from Rito Village were really sweet," Noel added.
"I...have never eaten so much...in my known life…" Rex muttered with a burp, carrying a still sleeping Bobo on his back.
"At least we are all healed back to perfect health...no scars or nothing after all that…" Ben muttered.
"I...hate when Sento does that trick on us…" Kazumi groaned.
"And yet...it keeps us alive...to complain," Gentoku grunted with a burp.
"At least...we had fun at the celebratory feast," Sari assured, "Heck..you were going a few rounds with those Goron bodybuilders in arm wrestling, Makoto."
"Yeah...That was fun!"
"Well now we can all rest and…" Mai began.
A sudden ding went off and shook the building, making everyone fall off their feet in panic.
"It's finished!" Sento shouted from another room as he walked in with a welding mask over his face and tools in a regular old tool belt dangling around him, "What? Are you all hungover? I told you not to drink so much last night...ah...what a shame."
"We were not aware that Hyalian drinks were so...potent," Rook muttered.
"He took one sip and started dancing around like a drunk man," Gentoku explained.
"Please do not bring that up," Rook muttered, blushing.
"But it was fun regardless," Lambda argued.
"Okay good, you're all happy. Because it's time to go!" Sento cheered, "I spent all night fixing the machine with parts I gathered all over Hyrule, and if it holds up it should get me to a world where I can find the parts needed to fully fix it."
"A shame we have to leave this place…" Ben spoke as he looked outside, taking one last glance at the grassy hiles of Hyrule, "Now that there's hardly any monsters out there and Calamity Ganon's no more, Hyrule looks...really beautiful."
"It really is," Makoto agreed before noticing the blue ascot around Sari's neck, "...Hey. Where did you get that?"
"Hmm? You mean this?" Sari asked as she held the ascot up, showing a small white image of Vah Naboris on it, "It was something given to me late last night by Zelda, Riju, and…" she paused as a somber look appeared on her face, "Lady Urbosa before she and the other Champions passed on."
"...That's right," Rex whispered in realization, "Since Ganon's no more...they more or less fulfilled their duty."
"Even though they've been spirits for 100 years...their duty to protect Hyrule never left them," Gentoku added, "They were truly Champions to the very end."
"Now all that's left is for the young chosen one and the princess to live happily ever after," Sento smiled, "But our time here is done. We've already altered the course of a universe vastly, so it's time to get out of here and find a way home."
'Really wish I would've gotten a chance to write a story on Zelda and Link...th...' Noel began in her thoughts before blinking at what Sento said, "Eh?"
"What do you mean find a way?" Ryuga asked, "You've got a freakin' map to the multiverse!"
"Ah...yes...the part that I withheld so you didn't all...ehem...panic." Sento muttered, making everyone turn to him, "Uhm...Worlds are...vanishing from the multiverse…" he chuckled.
"...Come again?" the group asked.
"I'm not kidding. Worlds are suddenly...vanishing from the multiverse," Sento explained, "I even tried to zero in on the world Ben and the others came from-along with ours- and...nothing came up," he explained, "Let me elaborate in a simplified metaphor. Imagine if you will, we are on a cross country roadtrip across, say, America," he began, "Right now, we are relaxing in some nice little stop like, say, Oregon. Ben's world is like Los Angeles...or New York. But now...there no longer exists such a city on any map...at all."
"...Wait. So that one problem you mentioned the other day…" Kazumi began.
"Eeyup."
"...NOEL-TAN!" Kazumi screamed as he bolted for the back room.
"Wait...you mean our home…" Ben began, "Is...gone?"
"Yes," Sento nodded before quickly adding, "Not destroyed! If it was destroyed, I would still be able to detect it. What I mean by 'gone' is it's gone. Someone plucked your universe off the map…" he went on, "It exists...but not where it should be on the map. Someone is removing entire worlds from the Multiverse...and...I don't know, relocating them...bottling them up?" he sighed, "The point is your world is alive and well...but not where it should be. And until such a time I know how to find it, I can't take you home yet. The only answer I have is...we keep driving, and hope down the line we find whatever force has done this. And, sadly, I don't really know how to contact a Dimensional Guardian like Decade."
"So that means everyone…" Mai began.
"...Is trapped somewhere," Noel added in worry as Lambda hugged her Blupee in concern.
"Chances are, the world is functioning normally or frozen in time," Sento added, "But they are safe in the sense their lives are in no immediate danger. I can detect if a world is destroyed or damaged. But this is just something new altogether."
"Capturing an entire world...no. An entire reality itself…" Rook whispered, "Who is capable of doing such a thing?"
"As a scientist, this is the one answer I hate giving to people most of all: I just don't know," Sento shook his head, "But we can't save our worlds by sitting here in Link's dimension. We will have to get a move on, to a more modern world where I can get more useful parts for the machine. Then we just keep going on this cross-dimensional roadtrip. Eventually, we have to find whoever is responsible. It will be for the best if we try not to stay in any one dimension like we have here."
"...Agreed," Ben agreed, a serious expression on his face as everyone looked at him, "After thinking about it...I'm somewhat recalling what Paradox and Rachel told us...This is probably a precursor of what we're gonna be facing once we do get home...not just the NOL...but probably from any other enemies we'll be facing...and to make sure we're ready," he paused as he looked at his friends, "We're gonna have to prepare ourselves...possibly train in ways we've yet to discover."
"Wait...the NOL?" Rex blinked.
"A really corrupt World Government were me, Mai, Noel, and Lambda used to be from," Makoto explained with a frown, "Basically...if you defy them or their leader? Branded an enemy to the world itself and-no matter how old you are or who you are-will be set for execution."
"And the worst part is...we don't know when they'll appear in our world," Mai added.
"Seriously?!" Rex and Sari gawked at that.
"...Ugh. Even in another dimension, the NOL and the Imperator are still messing with people's lives," Gentoku sighed.
"There could be a chance they're behind this," Ryuga suggested.
"No...not even the Imperator is capable of this," Sento shook his head, "I doubt even the Blood Clan can do this...No, it has to be something else. Something not shared among any of our worlds. The threats to worlds are numerous."
"Then we better start moving," Ben suggested.
"Thankfully, I set something on the machine to let us see what the next world looks like," Sento stated as he and the others began to walk towards the back, the genius of the group punching Kazumi away when he tried to mess with the machine that lets the shop travel dimensions, "That way we won't be going in blind should one of us steps outside the shop...Ryuga."
"Why was th-"
"You know what you did…"
"I know…" he sighed.
"Anyway, after all this we need some time to rest our minds from a difficult battle. Furthermore, I've found a world filled with interesting aliens, maybe some with useful abilities for the Omnitrix. Also...been on my bucket list of vacation spots," Sento explained.
"...wait, vacation?" Makoto blinked at that.
"Oh trust me…" Sento began as he tapped a few buttons on the machine, causing a screen to pop up as it showed the image of a tropical paradise, "You'll be for quite the 'rollercoaster ride' here."
"I mean you already healed us...why would we need a vacation?" Ben asked.
"Noel, if you would, lightly punch Ben's shoulder," Sento smiled.
"Oh come on," Ben chuckled before she did so, his body twitching before he fell over.
"Healed...stress free? Not so much," Sento smirked, "Your bodies are all still stressed from the battle. Our bodies are fundamentally mutated so this sort of issue never happens. You guys…"
"He is correct..." Lambda spoke up, "We are still not back at 100%."
"Perhaps a vacation would do us some good," Rook added.
"I can really go for one to be honest," Mai sighed.
"Given how bad it seems...this might be for the best," Noel nodded, looking at the still downed Ben.
"I'm sorry...but...Noel punched you out…" Makoto giggled.
"Babe…" Ben groaned.
"Silence, boy...and just enjoy the vacation," Skurd argued, "You can conoodle with your woman all you want…"
"Doesn't sound like a bad idea…" Ben muttered.
"Alright, then off to Hawaii!" Sento cheered.
"...wait. Hawaii!?" the girls minus Lambda beamed.
Ocean waves gently crashed against one another alongside a beach...no. The beaches of the beautiful tropical island of Hawaii. To some, it was the perfect vacation spot, to others...mainly the people that live on the island...they call it home. Upon this beach a small animal ran across the sand in search of someone very important. It was important he made it on time, he was late as is, and didn't want to disappoint her. The small little blue creature then skid to a sudden halt, blinking as he found a...shop of some kind located on the beach. Odd...he made his way through here every day, and this shop wasn't here before, so...where did it come from? He wanted to go in and see, maybe it was aliens again, or another weird event happening on the island.
"Stitch!" a young girl called out.
"Oh…" the little blue creature named Stitch muttered, torn by his promise to someone he loved...and his burning curiosity and concern for this random building, "Ah...don't go nowhere…" he spoke in a broken English to the building, he then ran off to join the one calling out to him, "Lilo!" he called out in hopes he could drag her here to investigate with him.
SZ: And with that...Hyrule has been liberated from Ganon..no. Demise's Curse once and for all...and it seems a rather shocking revelation was revealed...worlds are starting to vanise.
Z0: You'll find out why.
GT: Yep. Just gotta be patient. But, yeah, things will be a bit different for this big ol' arc we're doing. Some worlds will be more than one and others will just be a single chapter to be a resting point.
SZ: Eeyup...that way the group will feel rested up before the next big world, and something for you readers to enjoy.
Z0: If you're wondering why we made this one...into like a movie trilogy length wise...well as you can imagine...we...uh...put a lot of thought into this one ahead of time. So from here on we promise stuff won't be this...meaty, and just enjoyable.
SZ: Yeah...plus we hope you enjoyed the changes we made to the final parts of Breath of the Wild..IE the army helpnig against Calamity Ganon's forces, the wolf design for the Master Cycle Zero, the Iron Knuckle...and Calamity Ganon's form from Age of Calamity.
GT: Aye. Until then, please Read and Review!
SZ: And once more..here's to another year of GSE!
Z0: I have spoken! This is the end! Thunder Clap! *claps causing a huge sonic boom that blows the others away* Hahaha...I made them feel safe...ah...I love it when I do that.
