*BOOM!*
Tsukasa mused as he watched his temporary companions all fast asleep as they landed in their new destination. He tilted his head before he suddenly shot his leg and kicked the beds they all slept in one at a time, making them all yelp and fall to the ground. His hand shot out to grab Bluey before he was crushed by anyone heavier than him. He smirked, gently patting its head before putting him down on a counter with some veggies as breakfast for him.
"Good morning, freeloaders," Tsukasa replied as everyone groaned.
"What time is it…?" Naoto groaned as he sat up, wearing a pair of black and red sweatpants and a gray sleeveless shirt, "...let me rephrase that…what time in what world we're in is it?"
"About 6-7 in the morning in the world of Remnant," Tsukasa explained. He then walked off and opened the front door, "I think if you hurry, you can enjoy some passionate days of youth at a school that trains heroes."
"One moment," Makoto stated before everyone but Tsukasa covered their eyes the moment they saw her grab her shirt.
A moment later, she stepped out in her birthday suit and through the veil that appeared the moment she came out. On the other side, she was donned in what could be considered a school uniform. It consisted of a white button long-sleeve shirt underneath a black long-sleeved jacket with gold trimming and buttons, a red bow around her collar with long red tassels, and a plaid skirt that reached halfway above her knees which were covered in black stockings and orange and auburn running shoes. She also had a bandana wrapped around her upper left arm, showing a stylized bronze acorn with an 'M' in it.
"...Huh. It…almost reminds me of our old school outfits from the academy," Makoto noted.
"Ooh…" Noel awed at the uniform, "Is that what we're gonna wear here?"
"Give it a try and see if you like it," Tsukasa replied simply.
"...wait. Are we going into a school like we did in Gaim's world?" Mai asked as she and the rest of the girls stepped out, each of them now wearing a similar outfit to Makoto's, of course tailored to their body types with Mai sporting an emblem of a spear over a heart on a pendant on a silver necklace.
"Somewhat," Tsukasa explained, "You guys got materials to make superhero suits. But face it, not all of you have the ability to fight with just a suit. So I brought you here to meet weapon experts to fix up your stuff."
"Oh thank you…" Mai sighed in relief.
"Also you may want to check your pockets for your school IDs," Tsukasa added, "They'll help tell you which of you are attending…and what team you're in."
"Team?" Sari blinked, her scarf still on with a clip resembling the Autobot symbol in a gear on it.
"The world of Remnant is one of magic and science. Here, civilization and life itself are besieged by horrible creatures called Grimm, but the people of this world have evolved to turn their very soul itself into an invisible armor called Aura; and everyone has their own special power that personifies them as a person called a 'Semblance,'" Tsukasa explained dramatically and somewhat loudly as he held his arms up, "Young men and women train day and night in Combat Schools to become Hunters who face the monsters using advanced weaponry powered by the pseudo-magical element known as Dust, forming teams of Four to promote unity so that no one Hunter may fall in combat. They attend one of four top of the line universities to attain their Hunter License."
"Oh my…" Noel gasped, sporting a belt buckle resembling Bolverk and Funkfreed's sword state crossed over a heart.
"Also here it's split between Humans and beings who look like humans but with animal traits known as Faunus." he added.
"Faunus…Huh. I…I kinda like that over 'Beastkin' to be honest," Makoto noted, tapping her cheek in thought.
"I think it's just Fauna and Humans mashed together…" Tsukasa muttered, "But…I mean…it's more apt and less…uh…derogatory…then Beastkin…no offense."
"Eh. None taken," she shrugged just as some of the boys began to step out next, their own clothes now changing to a male variant of the school uniform, but each one more fitted to them.
"May as well check to see which of us will be heading out and stuff," Ben shrugged as he reached into his pocket, feeling around for a moment as he pulled out an ID card, "...huh. There's an anagram here…"
"That's your team name. Team names are made using the initial of one of your names, and then making them into an anagram that can kind of sound out a full word," Tsukasa explained, "Like 'R,' 'W,' 'B,' 'Y,' making…"
"Ruby?" Noel blinked.
"Exactly," Tsukasa confirmed.
"I am feeling there is more to this world than what you have already explained," Rook noted.
Tsukasa just held a finger up to his lips. "Shhh…spoilers~spoilers~" he smirked in a rather threatening and creepy tone.
"...Can you never do that again?" the girls asked as everyone trembled.
"Aw…no~" he smiled, enjoying their torment.
"...so uh….who's on your team then, Ben?" Mai asked, hoping to move the conversation along.
"Oh…wait, hang on," Tsukasa snapped his fingers as everyone blinked, any writing they saw suddenly translated to something they understood, "There we go. This world doesn't actually speak any 'Earth' languages so…even if you hear English…or Japanese…that's not what they're really speaking."
"Gotcha," Ben nodded as he looked back at his ID, "Ok….'B'...obviously me, 'A', 'N' and 'H'..."
"...Pfft…" Tsukasa sputtered, "Team BANH(Barn)…" he hunched over in laughter, "Hahahaha!"
"Oh how unfortunate!" Skurd couldn't help but laugh in agreement.
"...Wait…" Makoto muttered as she thought that over, "'Ben' Tennyson…Makoto 'Acornia' Nanaya…'Noel' Vermillion…and Mai 'Hozuki'...huh…Guess middle names count."
"Okay, let's see what the rest of us have," Rex noted, looking at his ID, "R…K…L…S?"
"Very apt. All of you are RKLS (reckless) in one way or another," Tsukasa chuckled.
"...'Rex' Salazar, Naoto 'Kurogane', 'Lambda' Vermillion, and 'Sari' Sumdac…" Lambda muttered, "...RKLS." she patted Bluey, "Mascot."
"Would they even allow pets?" Sari pondered.
"So long as they're capable of acting as assault animals or assisting animals for teams, such as a corgi with Aura that can explode," Tsukasa replied.
"Corgi?!" the Vermillion sisters asked, instantly before him with large hopeful eyes as Naoto and Rex rapidly looked between where they were and where they had gone.
"Wait a day or so," Tsukasa instantly stated, making the two pout, 'Granted if this version of Remnant follows things the same way…minus the 'changes' in this version…'
"I suppose I shall be staying here then to look over the shop," Rook spoke up.
"I got nothing to do here. This world is just starting to develop their heroes," Tsukasa sighed, "Not much for me to get involved in."
"Good! I could use some help here," Bobo called out from inside the shop, "I cans only take so many orders as long as I have solo!"
"...You've been running the shop?" Rex asked.
"We are makin' primo moola here!" Bobo replied, "Dat casino ship alone brought in more den my weight in gold coins!"
"Wait…Why haven't you told us that?" Rex asked.
"...'Cause I was never gonna give youse any…"
"Sneaky monkey…" Skurd muttered, earning a pair of looks from the resident couple, "...what?"
"You have a share with him, don't you?" Makoto deadpanned.
"Eh, more like we've split it between us and the good proprietor of this establishment through a very detailed multidimensional contract Sento drew up," Skurd replied.
"Added in Funky after dat whole Tesoro business!" Bobo added, "...Bluey's suggestion. Not mine."
Bluey squeaked at that, bopping his paw with Funkfreed's trunk.
"...May have to say Funky's got a 'Semblance' thingy that lets him become a sword, but it made him unable to swim," Makoto suggested.
"Clever thinking," Tsukasa nodded, "Now I suggest you kids hurry…the ship to school will be leaving any minute now."
"...Ship?" Naoto repeated.
"What? You think the school's here?" Tsukasa asked before shaking his head, "Nah…you technically need a ship to get there." he pointed up towards a mountain, "It's that castle all the way up there…run by a wizard named Oz."
"Oz? Like…th-" Mai began.
"Clock's ticking~"
"AHH!" the group panicked as they began to run off.
"Catch ya later, Rook!" Ben shouted.
"Do not shame the team with your normal brand of tomfoolery!" Rook called out.
"I bet you fail at something by first period. Oh by the way I unlocked the team pets' soul powers, so don't worry; it can't get hurt…but you guys…eh, you'll be fine!" Tsukasa called out.
"Wait, what?!"
"You are just traumatizing them at this point," Rook muttered.
"Damn right I am…"
"...That place…is an entire school?!" Rex gawked, looking out the window of the ship they were in as it flew towards a fairly large castle-like structure.
"Looks like it," Naoto replied.
"...I am so jealous," Noel whispered with wide eyes, "They have a castle…and we have a plumbing store."
"Oh come on. It's not that bad, we have an entire underground space station. But…this is…really cool…" Makoto muttered, "...Lot of places to climb, too…and really big…a-and you're right. I am totes jelly!"
"..." Lambda looked down at the forest below the ship.
"What's up?" Naoto asked.
"Multiple threats detected," Lambda replied, "Low threat levels, but the amount is making an elevation to B-Class threat levels."
"No transforming while in the ship," Ben ordered, "Or your cute animal privileges are revoked for a week."
"...understood."
"...Those creatures must be those Grimm things Tsukasa mentioned," Naoto guessed.
"It's so weird they're called that," Sari admitted, "Everytime I hear the word 'Grimm,' I tend to think of the brothers Grimm."
"The who?" Ben asked.
"The brothers who wrote all the fairy tales you've ever heard of. Cinderella, Snow White, Pinocchio?" Sari explained.
"...The cartoon movies?" Makoto asked, tilting her head.
"...seriously? None of you know about the Brothers Grimm?!" Sari demanded.
"...Wait…uh…is it that weird bickering Eyecon from Ghost?" Makoto asked.
"...Okay, that's it. Moment we get home, I am dragging all of you to the library!" Sari stated.
"YOU'LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE!" Ben and Makoto shouted, running off.
Sari pointed her finger at them before snapping her fingers and…
*BOOM! CRACKLE~!*
…the two groaned as they collapsed, their hair puffed up into afros as small green sparks came off them.
"Cooked human and squirrel…order up~!" Skurd groaned, "With a side of roasted jelly~"
"Shad-BZZT!-up…"
"...I'm still not letting you two off the hook," Sari muttered, "…That goes for the rest of ya, too."
"Eh?" Noel and Lambda blinked at that.
"Boy am I glad I go home to my own world after this…where I have a hitman mentor waiting to put me through more torture…yay…" Rex muttered.
"Eh. You're lucky to have a home to get to," Naoto shrugged, "Mine's…well still lost out there..or if it still even exists…still not giving up on finding her…"
"The girl you're looking for, right?" Rex asked.
"Yup…hell chances are I may end up finding her in Ben's world considering he's letting me stay there," Naoto shrugged.
"Wouldn't be surprised. Only been there once and I could tell that it just attracts things," Rex noted.
"He's not wrong there," Mai admitted.
"How much longer until we land? I wanna see everything!" Noel noted, hopping a little in place until Funkfreed gently put his trunk on her head to stop it.
"Probably a few minutes," Sari guessed, "Still…curious on what kinds of individuals we'll meet here."
"Chances are given how large this palace is…probably a mix of rich kids and kids from elsewhere," Rex guessed.
"I hope we can meet some of these Faunus, see how they compare to Makoto," Mai admitted.
"..."
"If they have ears, you're only allowed to pet after asking and receiving permission," Mai deadpanned at Noel and Lambda.
"Fine…" the two sisters pouted.
"It's even bigger up close…" Ben awed.
"Not even my old school was this big," Naoto muttered.
"How do you even go through this place without getting lost?" Rex added.
"Maybe there's someone here to help guide the new students," Mai guessed.
"It can't be that hard. I know we just go…" Makoto pointed in a random direction, "That way!" she pointed to the left, she moved to walk only to realize she wasn't going anywhere…in fact, she was lifted a little off the ground and floating there, "What's happening!? Ben! It's happening! I'm being abducted!"
"No…I just can't let another batch of students get lost when it's not even orientation day…" a female voice sighed.
"Hmm?" the others blinked as the group looked over, seeing an older woman with her blonde-hair done up into a bun walking up to them,..her raised arm holding up a riding crop as a faint aura could be seen.
"My name is Glynda Goodwitch, I make sure things are running around here. And I was tipped off by a Mr. Kadoya to, and I quote: Not take my eyes off a bunch of irresponsible, goofy, and hopeless students who will be attending for a few days." she sighed, fixing her glasses, "He stressed the hopeless part. Which I can already tell…you will be a handful." she moved Makoto close, "You in particular, young lady. You just send out the energy of a troublemaker…I know another sweet girl with a similar energy…and her sister."
"Hah?! Th-" Makoto began before Ben began to rub her ears, "?! ...Mmm…""
"Sorry about her, ma'am," Ben apologized, "I'm Ben, her boyfriend and team leader for BANH. I accept any blame for my teammates for any trouble they cause."
"...Noted," Glynda muttered as she lowered her riding crop, the aura around Makoto fading as she landed back on the ground, "Very well then…please follow me. As guests, you'll need to know which facilities are here at Beacon."
"Of course." Ben nodded.
"We'll be sure to behave," Sari added.
"Good," Glynda nodded as she began to walk off.
"...Why am I reminded of Six?" Rex pondered quietly.
"I'm oddly reminded of Tsubaki…if she were a really strict teacher," Mai whispered as the group began to follow Glynda.
"I'm gonna run for the hills if she pulls out a paper fan," Makoto admitted.
"Something tells me that the riding crop might sting worse…" Ben muttered.
"...Oh you may be right," Makoto whispered in dread.
"Let's try not to get the teachers to hate us this time, alright?" Mai offered.
"Oh we weren't that bad…r-right?" Noel asked.
"I don't know…we caused a lot of trouble in retrospect…" Makoto muttered, "And didn't you once take one of the teacher's…MMM!" she was cut off by Noel covering her mouth.
"I have no idea what she's talking about!" Noel denied with a squeak, a heavy blush covering her face.
"We'll just leave it at that…" Mai muttered once Noel uncovered her mouth.
"I am concerned for Sister…" Lambda spoke.
"We all are…we all are…" Sari sighed.
"Mmm~~"
"AHEM!" Glynda cleared her throat, making the group stand at attention, "If you had been paying attention, we just passed the Entrance Hall and coming upon to a few of the classrooms." she turned to look ahead before narrowing her eyes, "Professor Port!"
"Gha!" a pleasantly plump older man with a massive mustache yelped as he jumped and turned from the large cage on wheels he was pushing, "Ah! G-Glynda! Good day to you!"
"Why do you have a baby Goliath?! Where did you get a baby Goliath?!" she demanded, stomping up to him.
"Ah! It was a rare find on my daily hunting excursion for Grimm to have my students handle," Port explained, "It was all alone, so I thought it'd be good to show the class one and…"
"Paon?"
Port and Glynda looked to the side to see Funkfreed in full elephant form beside them, looking at the cage. Within was a creature of pitch darkness and white bones giving shape to that of what appeared to be an elephant of sorts. And while it may have looked like one…the snarls and bellows were not that of an elephant. Funkfreed narrows his tiny eyes at the beast before slowly backing away to beside Noel, who he gently scooped up and put on his back.
"Where did that elephant come from?" Port asked, his bushy eyebrows raised up enough to show his eyes in surprise.
"Funkfreed has a weird Semblance," Mai explained, "He can turn into a sword to hide on Noel."
"Oh?" Port asked.
"He's a good boy…aren't you, Funkfreed?" Noel smiled as she gently patted Funkfreed as he kept vigilance on the Goliath.
"We…couldn't say no to her," Ben explained, "Its last owner didn't treat it super well. So…they beat him up, took Funkfreed and I think left him…somewhere…"
"Eh…I'm sure someone found him." Makoto shrugged.
"Now…we need to feed a shape changing Elephant pet…" Ben sighed, "Our fruit bill is crazy…"
"Animal Semblances are always so…random…" Port muttered, "It's like the dog that can clone itself all over again."
"We also have the world's best Bunny," Lambda held up Bluey.
"Hmm?" Port blinked as he took a closer look, "Huh…a rather colorful looking bunny…" he muttered before Bluey suddenly vanished, "!?"
"He also does that when he gets a bit nervous," Sari explained as Bluey reappeared on Lambda's shoulder.
"World's Best Bunny," Lambda reaffirmed.
"...Glynda, would you mind if I took these two off you for a bit?" Port asked, "I'd like to ask them a few questions about their pets."
"Very well, but don't come crying to me when they end up being too much for you to handle," she replied simply.
"They might very well be…" Makoto whispered to Glynda.
"Oh I am very much aware." she smiled.
"Oh pish posh. I'm sure I can handle them just fine," Port chuckled as Noel hopped off of Funkfreed, "In fact this reminds me of a story where I had to escort a pair of twins through the forest at night…filled to the brim with the scariest of Grimm."
"...What happened?" Lambda asked out of curiosity.
"Oh, this was in my youth, a few years after my graduation and my first solo assignment. They were the daughters of a nobleman in Mistral on a visit to the southernmost borders of the continent, but they had trouble the day before they were to depart for home and lost their tickets. When I heard of their plight while on my own trip there, I graciously offered my services and we began our trek to their home. The biggest issue were the Geists, horrid Grimm that can only be killed by destroying the bone mask which is difficult on its own but only furthered by the fact that they can assimilate objects to create massive physical bodies with which to take down all who oppose them," Port explained, pushing the cage into the classroom as Glynda discreetly had the rest follow her and leave the Vermillion sisters to his tale, Noel starting to look like she wanted to fall asleep and Lambda paying with rapt attention.
"Oh lord…I felt like I was gonna sleep on the spot," Rex muttered with a yawn.
"Yes…Professor Port's stories often….draw out," Glynda admitted as they stopped in another room, "Ahem. Now then…here is the school library, where you can find any books needed for whatever assignment you have."
"Oh good...an-" Rex began before Sari elbowed his side, "Ow…"
"Stop being so negative will ya?"
"Right right…"
"Sides this could be nice, a quiet place to relax and read. And Ben and Makoto left to make a book fort, didn't they?" Sari groaned.
"...I don't want to confirm…but I also can't deny it…" Mai sighed.
Glynda sighed, "This is why we order five of every book for the library. There's always one or several students that do that…" her eye then twitched before she smacked her riding crop on a nearby table.
"?SNKRS! I-I'm awake!" a female student with long blonde hair snorted as she shot up, wiping a bit of drool from her mouth, "Oh….eh heh. Hey Ms. Goodwitch."
"Yang Xiao Long, what did I say about using the library as your own personal resting spot?"
"Hey, hey, hey. Not my fault this time," she explained quickly, "Weiss was…" she looked around, "Huh…Guess she stomped off after knocking me out with that big talk."
"You really are a troublemaker…" Glynda sighed "But you're not a bad person, so at the very least you're just a little extra work." she mused, "Then I guess a fitting punishment…is to help me show these new students who will be staying here for a few days around. Do that…and I may ignore a few of your stacked up infractions."
"New students?" Yang blinked before she noticed the group, "Oh hey…welcome to Beacon. Hope the ride here wasn't rough. The light air can make ya kinda…light-headed."
"Oh lord…" Glynda facepalmed.
"...Was that a pun?" Makoto asked from inside a nearby fort made of books.
"Oh no…." Mai whispered in realization
"Oh crapbaskets…we met another one…" Rex realized.
"Seriously, was that a pun I heard?" Makoto asked.
"Eh I dabble," Yang shrugged, "...Let me guess, fellow punster?"
"What can I say? I'm a pretty squirrely gal, both figuratively," Makoto began as she hopped out of the book fort, "And literally."
"Huh…squirrel Faunus, huh?" Yang noted as she looked her up and down, "...Bet you drive the guys nuts."
"That or I give 'em a nice big ol' thing of fruit punch!" Makoto laughed as she pounded her fist into her open palm.
"Ben…!" Mai and Rex exclaimed.
"What?" he asked as a crumbled book fort moved around, "I messed up the foundation. I'll put 'em back, no problem…"
"Eh no biggie," Yang shrugged, "The books here are highly durable…though don't let my friend Blake see ya do this."
"Let me guess, book lover?" Makoto guessed.
"Yep."
"Had a feelin'," Makoto shrugged, "...say….you a brawler by any chance?"
"You know it," Yang replied, "What can I say? I enjoy the feeling of my fist meeting the face or bodies of idiots who get in the way of them."
"Oh I totally know how you feel," Makoto admitted, "It's always so satisfying when your knuckles just dig into the cheek of an idiot who deserves it."
"..."
"..."
"...uh oh…I don't like that look in their eyes," Mai whispered.
"There a gym around here by any chance?" Makoto asked Yang.
'I KNEW IT!'
"Well…" Yang began before Glynda smacked her riding crop on the table again, "!?"
"You can show that…after showing everything else first?" Makoto offered.
"I like the way you think," Yang smiled.
"Aw, you made a friend." Ben smiled.
"...You know what? I was thinking of leading the students there next, so…congrats Ms. Xiao Long. You'll be part of a demonstration for our guests," Glynda stated, "But just know...I will be rating the both of you…"
"Noted, teach."
"...What?" Ben asked, noticing the looks his friends were giving him, "...What?!"
"You know what you did, amigo," Rex deadpanned.
"Hey…It was gonna happen eventually," Ben argued, "Besides it's just a spar…"
"...Just know…we will remember that," Naoto stated.
"You act like none of you have gotten into weirder or worse scenarios…" Ben pointed out, "And I have so read the reports on your escapades, Sari."
"Hey…There's…"
"Getting involved with illegal street racing with Bumblebee is on the tip of that iceberg, right above abusing an object of power to upgrade a toy into a city-wide threat that took over the machines of the city and then the defenders of it on Christmas," Ben whispered.
"...Touche…"
"Here we have the gymnasium, where we often have the students spar with one another in order to improve on their skills," Glynda stated, standing outside a fairly large circular ring as a large screen showing Yang and Makoto's faces on it hung above, "Keep note that if your Aura is broken, it will count as an automatic loss for you, so you will have to try and think of a proper strategy to take on your current opponent. However since this is a special occasion…no weapons will be used."
"Eh. Fine by me," Yang shrugged, popping her neck a bit as she cracked her knuckles, "Wanna test the waters with the new girl here."
"Oh ho…big words coming from the fiery blonde," Makoto grinned, pounding her fist together as she hopped in place a bit.
"...this is already gonna end poorly," Mai whispered as she slinked behind the desk she was sitting in.
"Per Boyfriend rules, I am honor bound to cheer only for Makoto and even if I think this girl is a nice person, boo her, sorry…it's just the boyfriend rules, nothing personal." Ben spoke up.
"...Again, w-" Naoto began.
"And…" Glynda began as Makoto and Yang reeled their fist back, "BEGIN!"
With that, the two instantly became a pair of blurs before they were before each other, their fist colliding as it let off a huge shock wave that shook the area a bit. The two smirked as they punched again, their fists moving back and forth rapidly as each collision left a small shockwave in the air. The two stepped forward as they punched at the same time with opposing arms as they crossed each other's arms to finally land a solid blow to the other's face.
"Oh boy…Here it comes. Now Makoto is excited for real," Ben sighed, "Mai, Medkit." he held his hand out.
"I know the routine," Mai sighed as she pulled it out and handed it over, "Not my first, nor will it be my last, rodeo when it comes to her nonsense."
"Hah!" the two girls roared, swinging at each other.
The two began ducking and weaving around one another as their fists flew back and forth. The two grunted as they blocked one anothers incoming right hook. The two now grappled with their hands as they tried to use raw strength. Yang smirked, her eyes going red, as she began overpowering Makoto. Yang then adorably yelped in surprise when Makoto's tail 'punched' her in the face, the surprise making the blonde stumble back.
"D-Did you just punch me with your tail!?" Yang asked, her eyes returning to normal, "That was both weirdly strong and the most cuddly punch I've ever taken!"
"Just 'cause it's fluffy, don't underestimate the tail!" Makoto taunted cheekily.
"Oh you're way more fun then my other Faunus friends," Yang smirked.
With that, the two rushed as they punched, their fists clashing with another shockwave before jumping back. Yang pressed first as she began unleashing a barrage of swings that Makoto weaved and ducked around. Makoto smirked as she spun around and swung her tail low and used this to trip Yang, who was not used to this method of combat per say. She yelped as she caught herself and flipped up before ducking back from a swing Makoto took at her.
"Wow. Haven't seen her having that much fun since the last time we spared and I went Rath," Ben noted before glowering at Skurd, "Up until someone made Gravattack gauntlets and set them off."
"I regret nothing. I was getting tired of all the punching. I live here…I don't want to get knocked around needlessly…" Skurd huffed as he turned his face away.
"...Is it just me…or is her hair starting to look like it's catching fire?" Rex asked.
"That would be Miss Xiao Long's Semblance. It seems to activate with her rising emotional state and the amount of damage she has taken," Glynda explained.
The two girls traded blows back and forth, rarely letting the other actually land a hit. They somehow knew that it may not be safe to let them just beat one one another like sand bags. Also they just were weary of actually landing too many hits on the other. Something just made them feel weary about it, mostly Makoto who noticed Yang's constantly changing physical appearance.
"Oh-hoh~! You seem to be getting all fired up, aren't ya?" Makoto joked.
"What can I say? This is turning into a heck of a warm up. I might just be a little excited!" Yang smirked, "Also, my sister always said I had a short fuse~" she chuckled while catching Makoto's punch, "No ya don't!" she ducked to the side to avoid her tail, "Fluffy punch denied!"
"They're really enjoying this," Sari noted.
"It's something brawlers tend to do," Ben noted, "When you're fighting with just your fists, you sometimes just…feel…what your opponent does." he rubbed the back of his head, "It's kinda hard to explain fully, but it can happen when you trade physical blows with someone else with just your body and not just holding a weapon."
"You seem rather fluent in this subject." Glynda noted.
"Well, I'm not really much of a weapon person. Let's just say I rely more on my ability," Ben muttered sheepishly, 'I probably shouldn't go transforming in public. I don't want to be mistaken for a monster…and Tsukasa will probably give me so many boots to the head I'll forget high school level math…' he mentally warned himself, "I guess if I had to add onto it…right now both are just excited to have someone that not just keeps up but is also thinking at the same pace and in the same way. My cousin told me about this thing Athletes call 'The Zone' where they hyper focus on their actions and essentially go into a trance-like state of super focus. I think I felt that a few times in a fight; this might be the only thing Makoto can legitimately focus on this much."
"You mean besides you?" Sari joked.
"Hey…we are love stuck idiots…but we're not that stupid," Ben argued, "We know when to separate our love life from the serious stuff. Not knowing how to gets you beaten down hard."
"Hmm…that's true," Mai nodded.
"You two still get lost in each other during free time though~" Naoto teased.
"Oh very true," Mai and Sari nodded.
"Exactly. Because it is free time, meaning nothing to worry about," Ben replied.
The two girls jumped and ran around to trade blows. Makoto did a quick split to avoid a punch from Yang before she did a quick leg sweep, prompting the blonde to jump up as she went for a diving punch on the Beastkin, only to miss when she rolled out of the way before jumping up.
"SPOON!"
"Wh-?!" Yang began before she did a quick rising punch, her fist colliding with Makoto's once more, causing another shockwave to shake the room, "...did you seriously shout spoon?"
"Yup."
"...in that case, knife!"
"Wh-" Makoto began before Yang grabbed her mid air, making her tense before she slammed her down onto the ground, "Oof!...oh…I get it..JackKnife Powerbomb…"
"Not what I expected…" Ben muttered.
"They are so alike…" Mai muttered nervously.
"It's…honestly unnerving," Naoto muttered.
"..I'm honestly surprised they haven't realized they've become best friends yet," Skurd muttered before a poof went off.
"What the…?!" Yang gawked, seeing Makoto no longer there as she looked down at an acorn on the floor, "Where did…"
"Sirius Jolt!"
"?!" Yang tensed as she turned, only to get slugged hard in the face by Makoto as she was sent flying towards the wall, the blonde quickly recovering herself midair as her feet impacted against it, resulting in a small crater, "...hoo…I felt that one…"
"Trust me…I make sure to get a good workout at the gym when I can," Makoto smirked.
"...on the count of 3…" Yang began as she landed back on the floor, "We each name one of our favorite training methods."
"Ooh~ Ok," Makoto grinned.
"1..."
"2…"
"...3!" the two declared as they pointed at one another, "Push-ups, sit-ups and plenty of juice!"
"What's happening?" Mai whispered.
"They just realized they became best friends," Skurd stated.
"...oh no…" Mai whispered in realization.
"Favorite hobby?" Yang asked.
"Video games!" the two spoke at the same time.
"Favorite thing to say when you see two people who should totally be together but are too dumb?" Makoto asked.
"I ship it!" the two replied in unison.
"Most adorable thing you platonically love?" Yang asked.
"My little Sister/Siblings! Wait, you're a big sister too!?"
"...what?!" Makoto exclaimed with a big smile.
"Did we just become best friends?!" Yang asked with an equally big smile.
"YUP!"
'Mistakes were made…' Glynda thought.
"Huh…my girlfriend found her long-lost spiritual sister…" Ben muttered, "We're all doomed and nothing can save us…"
"Except Tsubaki…but she's currently not here…" Mai whispered, "...crap baskets…"
"HAH!" both Yang and Makoto shouted as they charged once more, excited grins on their faces as their fists prepared to collide once more…only to end up being forced away from one another, "?!"
"I do believe that's enough," Glynda sighed, holding up her riding crop once more as a faint aura surrounded both brawlers, "This was meant to be a spar…and yet somehow you two ended up turning it into an all-out brawl…that could've destroyed the entire gymnasium…ugh…this should've been Mr. Ogami's job…"
"Oh come on, teach. We….uh…" Yang began as she and Makoto noticed the cracks on the walls, quite a few overturned desks…and the few craters on the ground, "..oh…oh wow."
"To be fair….we did not hold back on our punches," Makoto muttered.
"No we did not…"
"Well I guess that is mostly on us…" Makoto muttered.
"It was fun and I shall not be shamed for it!"
"You should both feel very ashamed," Glynda deadpanned.
"I don't~" Yang sang.
"Neither do I~" Makoto grinned as the two shared a quick high five.
"...right. Ms. Xiao Long, you take care of our guests then with your team. I need to go report something to the headmaster," Glynda stated, taking a mental deep breath as she began to walk off, "Also please…don't try and destroy the school should you get into a brawl…"
"...I promise not to try," Yang muttered, "Also…eh fine. Was gonna meet up with sis and the others later at the cafeteria later anyways."
"...How big is the cafeteria?" Makoto asked.
"Four plates max!" Mai and Sari instantly shouted.
"Hah?!"
"We're guests, Makoto…we don't want to end up eating all this place's resources," Sari sighed.
"But…that's…but…" Makoto sputtered.
"You can have my extra plates." Ben offered.
"But you don't eat that much…" Makoto blinked.
"Exactly." Ben smiled.
"I love that man…" Makoto smiled.
"...why do I feel Ruby's sister just met her long-lost spiritual sister?" a voice spoke from inside one of the dorm rooms.
"Oh come on, Daishinji…that's almost impossible," another countered.
"Nope…I refuse to leave the safety of this room or my forge! Till such a time as I'm certain no danger comes to pass!"
"Alright, fine, but while we enrich our lives by socializing with friends, we won't involve you in anything fun."
"I know that was sarcasm…but it also exactly what I want."
"Darn it…foiled again…what am I doing wrong?"
"Rintaro…stop trying to trick Daishinji…" another sighed, "We gotta focus on our own stuff…come on…"
"Hmm…I suppose that is true, especially since Touma is busy with who knows what," the second voice muttered.
"Mm hmm," the third nodded as the door opened, letting a pair of young men in school uniforms walk out, one with short black hair and the other with short styled light-ish brown hair, "Now come on…Ruby's probably already in the cafeteria."
"Hmm? What for?" the first one asked
"Something about a new game plan for the school year, Rintaro," the second shrugged, "He's probably just off looking for new books again."
"True, Kento. Touma usually does that," the first one/Rintaro nodded as he and the second/Kento began to walk off.
"Ahh~" Noel yawned as she rubbed her eyes, sitting at a lunch table in a really large cafeteria room with the others, "Mr. Port's story…was really long…"
"Yet informative," Lambda stated, lightly patting Bluey on the head as she fed him a bit of celery.
"Why am I not surprised you would listen in on a long winded story?" Naoto noted.
"All stories often have a hidden meaning," Lambda argued.
""True…I…"
"Ahh missed…!" a voice complained.
"Close that time, Nora!" Yang laughed.
"...what…did we miss?" Noel asked, noticing Makoto and Ben sitting near a table Yang was sitting at, along with a girl with long black hair with a black ribbon in it, and a girl with silver-white hair done up into a ponytail.
"Long story short…" Rex began as he took a bite of his sandwich, "Makoto more or less basically found her new best friend here."
"Huh?" Noel blinked.
"We like…kinda found Makoto's long lost human sister who shares her personality and love of…everything. Minus Ben that is." Sari explained.
"...oh dear," Noel whispered with wide eyes.
"Trust me…her new best friends' teammates share the worry and dread," Naoto sighed before flinching when a grape hit him in the forehead, "Wh-hey!"
"Sorry!" a girl with short orange hair called out from a table across from Yang's, sitting with a young man with short blonde hair, a girl with her long crimson-red hair done up into a ponytail, and a young man with raven-black hair with a lone-pink highlight in it.
"Nora…we talked about playing with your food." the young man with long black hair sighed.
"Oh come on Ren it was just a grape, you act like I'm gonna start an all out war. Silly, silly Ren~" she giggled.
"..." Mai silently took her food off her tray as she slowly held it up like a shield.
"What are you…" Rex began.
"Call it a hunch."
"...okay…" Rex muttered before a thud could be heard.
"Ahem!" everyone turned to see a girl with short black hair with a bit of a rose-reddish hue to it cleared her throat, her hands on a large stack of papers, "Sisters, friends…Weiss."
"Hey…!" the whitette complained.
"Four score and Seven minutes ago, I had a dream."
"This outta be good," Yang whispered to the black-haired girl before she ate a grape tossed at her by Nora, "Mmm."
"A dream one day that the four of us can come together as a team, and have the most fun anyone has ever had ever!" the girl declared.
"Did you steal my binder, Ruby?" Weiss questioned.
"...I am not a crook."
"Caught that reference," Makoto muttered before catching a grape that was accidentally aimed her way, "Thanks!"
"...uh…" Ruby began,
"Some new guests from afar…and Yang ended up making best friends with one of them already," the black-haired girl stated.
"You say that like it's a bad thing, Blake," Yang argued in a simple tone.
"...as I was saying…" Ruby muttered before dramatically pointing up, "I suggest we start this vacation off with a bang!"
"I always start my vacations off with a 'Yang'!" Yang quipped.
"Pfft-hahaha!" Makoto laughed.
"Oh come on it wasn't that funny," Skurd muttered from underneath Ben's Omnitrix.
"See? Why can't you girls be more like Mak-" Yang began before an apple hit her in the face, "..."
"As I was saying, vacation time is coming up soon," Ruby continued on as Yang tossed back the apple at Nora, "Classes end tomorrow, so I came up with a schedule for things for us to do today so we can get our vacation on!"
"That is a pretty big list," Rex muttered.
"List nothing. That's a freakin' book," Naoto added.
"I honestly don't want to know what she has in store," Weiss admitted.
"I might sit this one out," Blake muttered.
"...this because Toumas is still not back?" Yang questioned.
"Ooh~ possible boyfriend?" Makoto questioned with a grin.
"?! n…no…" Blake denied.
"...share with me the detes, my s-" Makoto began before ducking under a thrown pie, "Ha! Missed me!"
"Ben, I think this is where you should butt in!" Sari hissed.
"Okay, Babe, we had this conversation, please don't set off the powder-keg when we're guests." Ben sighed, putting a hand on Makoto's shoulder, "We don't want to wear out our welcome on the first day…"
"But…it's a food fight~" Makoto whined.
"I know…but still…don't be the one to start it at least…" Ben sighed, "Can you do me that much…so I don't get an earful?" he whispered.
"...fine," Makoto sighed, lowering the tomato she had in her hand as she sat down.
"Oh thank you…" Weiss sighed, "I was afraid w-"
*SPLAT!*
"..." Weiss said nothing as she sat there, the pie covering her face slowly falling off.
"...he did it," Nora whispered as she pointed at the short haired blond.
"Wait, what?"
"Okay see now…once the chaos begins…I technically have no right to stop you." Ben sighed to Makoto, "Just…no head trauma…please?"
"No! Seriously, do I have to be the mature one here!?" Sari snapped as she shot up, "We promised not to make a scene, and w-"
*SPLAT!*
"...Rex, Naoto, Lambda," Sari whispered, the pie on her face falling off as her eye twitched, "Get ready…"
"Oh this is gonna get crazy…" Rex muttered.
"Yep…"
"Hold please?" Lambda asked as everyone paused, she then held up Bluey, "Go hide with Mr. Port." she whispered to Bluey as she gently patted his head and put him on the ground to scurry off before things got worse. The Blupee saluted and ran as fast as he could out the door, "Okay, you may continue."
"...huh. I don't know why…but I feel something chaotic is happening in the cafeteria right now," Rintaro muttered as he and Kento walked down the pathway leading to said area.
"Hmm…" Kento muttered, "You may be onto something…how about lunch…off campus?" he asked.
"...Hmm…"
"We'll get Crepes."
"I'm sure they'll be fine!" Rintaro smiled, "We can bring them some."
"Let's use the Book Gate. I really don't wanna take the long way." Kento spoke as they walked through a closet door just as Sun and a young man with short light-blue hair walked by.
"Wow…you really had quite the adventure haven't ya?" the light-bluette asked.
"Yeah but seriously, don't tell anyone Neptune," Sun stated, "..I mean it too. This is like super top secret stuff…not like 'I'm gonna tell Scarlet the second Sun turns his back secret', I'm talking secret secret."
"Woah chill out, man," Neptune chuckled, "I got it..don't worry."
"You better..I don't wanna screw this up, ya know?" Sun stated, the two unaware of the chaos going on in the cafeteria as various foods..and even students were tossed at the windows, "The people here are the coolest!...no offense to you guys."
"Eh, none taken," Neptune shrugged as they stopped at a door.
"They should be in here," Sun stated, "I want things to go off smoothly, so be cool, okay? Be cool."
"...dude," Neptune grinned as he posed, giving a toothy grin as a few female students swooned nearby.
"...point taken," Sun nodded as he opened the door..just as a crowd of students began to run out, "What the…?!"
"RUN! FOOD FIGHT!" one student screamed.
"FOOD NOTHING! IT'S A WARZONE!"
"WHERE DID THE ELEPHANT COME FROM?!"
"...Elephant?" Sun and Neptune repeated as they stepped in…and saw the current state of the cafeteria, "...woah."
"AHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Nora laughed maniacally, standing on top of a large mountain of tables and vending machines as the rest of her team stood on various parts of it…with oddly Rex' team there as well, "I'm Queen of the Castle~! I'm Queen of the Castle~!"
"You guys want reckless?" Rex grinned as he slipped his goggles on, "Oh we're about to get real reckless! Right guys?!"
"Affirmative," Lambda whispered, her visor already on as she stood ready.
"Not the food fight I'd expect, but.." Naoto began as he pulled on his gloves, "I don't care…this'll be fun~"
"I tried to be the calm one here, but you've unleashed the beast now!" Sari shouted, sparks coming off her eyes as her scarf waved a bit.
"Justice will be swift! Justice will be painful!" Ruby declared as she stomped her foot on a table, crushing the milk box in her hand as milk spilled all over, "It will be delicious!"
"YEAH!" her teammates cheered on in agreement.
"How'd a food fight become this?" Mai groaned.
"Who cares?! This school's a blast!" Makoto laughed, riding on top of Funkfreed with Noel.
"Let's do our best then, Funkfreed," Noel whispered to the elephant.
"Paon~!"
"Hey Ben, amigo!" Rex called out to Ben, "Time to see which of us is the better hero!"
"Alright…fine…but let's not show all our tricks for this, okay? Let's settle this old school!" Ben called out.
"Oho~ Alright…I like that!" Rex chuckled.
"Where did they get an elephant?" Blake asked.
"Why do they have an elephant?" Weiss asked.
"Why does their guy get a launcher?!" Yang shouted.
"Wait, wh-" the two began before they noticed Rex having his cannon out, "?!"
"Alright guys, load 'em up!" Rex grinned as the back opened up.
"...uh…" Jaune began.
"Really rare Semblance," Sari explained as she loaded a watermelon into Rex's cannon.
"Oh that goofus…" Ben groaned.
"And no I-gah!" Rex grunted as a boot suddenly smacked his face making him fall back as he fired, sending the watermelon lobbing through the air instead.
"Incoming!" Ben panicked, 'Ah, I knew it…Tsukasa will penalty boot us if we expose too much here!'
'NOT THE BOOT!' Makoto mentally screamed.
"OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!"
"Ahh! Incoming watermelons!" Noel yelped.
"Take cover, then return fire!" Ruby ordered.
"What she said!" Ben yelped.
"Yang, Turkey Boxing Gloves!" Makoto shouted, throwing a pair of large turkeys over to Yang..
"Thanks!" Yang grinned, punching at them and shoving her fists into them, making them into boxing gloves that she used to smack and bash the oncoming watermelons with the Squirrel 'Faunus' with her own pair.
"Paon? Paon~!" Funkfreed cheered, catching one that almost hit Noel…before eating it.
"At least we're not wasting the fruit," Noel noted as she looked around, "Oh! Funkfreed, return fire with that roasted chicken! Angle 57 degrees north and 33 degrees east."
"Paon!" He complied, using his trunk to grab the chicken before taking a deep breath and straightening out his trunk like the barrel of a cannon as he aimed with the coordinates Noel gave, "Paon!" he affirmed he was locked on.
"Fire!" Noel called out as Funkfreed complied and snorted and fired it like an artillery round as it sailed through the air and was set to land right on Jaune and Pyrrha.
"Ah! Roasted chicken!" Jaune yelped as he looked around, "Uh…Oh!" he picked up a baguette and tossed it to Pyrrha, "Pyrrha, bread!"
"Got it!" the red-head nodded as she jumped up, grabbing it as she used it to slice the incoming chicken in half.
"That is one tough piece of bread," Ben noted, blinking a few times.
"Sandwiches must be tough to chew here," Makoto joked, bouncing a tomato in her hand a few times before she tossed it right to Naoto's face, making him grunt as he fell over, "Ha! Got one!"
"Hey, what the heck?!" Naoto demanded.
"It's a Food War!" Makoto replied, "And you guys did it first with the watermelon!"
"...Ok fine. Then let's see how you handle this," Naoto frowned, gripping a nearby table before he flipped it up, sending a flurry of food right towards the group.
"...oh forget it," Mai sighed, grabbing a long baguette as she used it to smack away some of the food, "Three incoming with a barrage from the left!"
"Babe?" Ben spoke.
"Leave it to us!" Makoto shouted as she and Yang ran forward, punching away at a few more watermelons before a tray was suddenly smacked into their faces, "?!"
"Yeah no," Sari smirked, flipping another one up as she ran before she used it to grind along the table, sending out more food.
"Funkfreed, angle 37 degrees west, 57 degrees north," Noel ordered, pointing at a turkey and then the tower of tables.
"Paon!" Funkfreed saluted, about to inhale another piece of food before a pepper shaker was pulled into the suction ,"?!"
"...Funkfreed?"
"Sorry…I c-" Rex began with a grin, his arm raising up as he prepared to grab another piece of food to toss.
"PA-CHOO!"
"...Mistakes were made…" Rex wheezed, practically flat against one of the vending machines.
"Why….?" Jaune groaned, currently flat against another vending machine.
"I wanted to take out their best sniper…"
"Oh dear," Noel whispered as Funkfreed sniffled a bit, "I think he took in too much pepper…"
"Ah, the Funky Cannon is down!" Makoto called out.
"Not good!" Yang panicked before she quickly turned, using her leg to block a strike from Ren as he carried a pair of leaks, "Sorry…b-" she began before she was suddenly smacked by a pair if sausage links, "?!"
"Target lock," Lambda whispered, holding said pair and a similar one like a pair of nunchucks as she spun the upper most one's around.
"Get 'em, Lambda!" Sari cheered on before ducking under some thrown fruit from Ruby, "Nice try!"
"She's seriously getting good at using nunchucks," Mai whispered as she batted away at another thrown piece of fruit.
"I blame the Sento!" Makoto declared.
"The who?" Yang asked.
"In-team joke," Ben replied, "Had to meet the guy to know it."
"He was a know-it-all with a heart of gold…and ego of immeasurable size!" Makoto added.
"He gave Lambda nunchucks and it went downhill for our sense of self preservation to not get hit by them," Ben nodded.
"Which happened…mostly to the boys," Mai added before tensing, "...uh guys?"
"Oh now wh-" Ben began before Nora crashed onto their side, slamming a makeshift hammer made out of a metal pole jammed into a melon, "HOW?!"
"Ben, watch out….ooh…" Makoto cringed as her boyfriend was sent flying, "Don't worry, Babe, I'll get revenge for ya!"
"Th-ank…you…" he groaned, stuck to the ceiling.
"Sorry not sorry!" Nora shouted, swinging her makeshift hammer around as she blocked a strike from Weiss, who was currently using a swordfish as a rapier. The two clashed their makeshift weapons, Nora swinging her 'weapon' around to block Weiss' strikes each time before she smacked her away with one swing, sending her crashing straight into a pillar.
"Ahh!" Ruby gasped as she became a blur, leaving rose petals in her wake as she caught Weiss in time just as the pillar began to collapse, "Weiss, Weiss! Don't leave me….NOOO!" she cried out just as the pillar and part of the ceiling collapsed.
"Uh…don't worry! You'll be a-" Mai began before Nora smacked her away too, making her cry out as she crashed through the window and into the school fountain, "...I'm okay…"
"Oh now you've done it. That was one of my best friends!" Makoto declared dramatically as she pointed at Nora, "Fight me, Hammer Queen!"
"Ok. You asked for it!" Nora declared as she charged, spinning her makeshift weapon as she prepared to swing, only to duck away from an incoming punch from Yang.
"...Double team?" Yang offered the squirrel girl.
"Double team," Makoto grinned as they both pounded their 'boxing gloves'.
"Uh oh," Nora yelped, about to run before Lambda landed, using her weapons to block the incoming punches…which destroyed her 'nunchucks'.
"Analysis complete…I am in trouble," Lambda summed up.
"Yes…you are," Makoto grinned before she kicked Lambda back, sending her tumbling away…just as Nora took a swing at her, "?!"
"Look out!" Yang shouted, pushing Makoto out of the way as Nora's 'hammer' hit her, sending her flying as she crashed through the ceiling.
"...Oh now you have done it!" Makoto frowned as her eyes narrowed, "Hitting my Boyfriend and one of my Best friends is one thing…but to do that to my new best punny gal pal? Oh…" her hand reached up as she grabbed Nora's 'Hammer' mid-swing…and crushed the iron pipe holding the melon, "You done messed up now!"
"...Uh oh," Nora whispered, dropping her broken weapon as she ran, "REN HELP!"
"Uh oh…running low on ammo," Rex muttered, noticing how little food was left on their side, "Anyone got any ideas?!"
"I…I don't know!" Jaune exclaimed as Makoto chased Nora around the cafeteria.
"Wah! I'm sorry! I took it too far!" Nora cried.
"The game is not over, duel me!" Makoto shouted, "Till the end!"
"She's too hyped! I've unleashed a monster!" Nora panicked.
"Give 'em hell, honey…" Ben groaned.
"That is one strong squirrel," Blake noted.
"You don't know the half of it," Noel muttered before yelping when a soda can suddenly exploded near her.
"Wait. Where…" Rex began as he turned, seeing Naoto standing near a broken vending machine as he tossed another shaken up soda can at the other side, "...Oh~ Good idea! Soda grenades!"
"Oh…" Sari began, jumping back from some tossed food as she picked up a pair, "Your in for it now," she grinned, shaking up the two cans in her hand before she tossed them up.
"Kya! Incoming!" Noel yelped, running to avoid a few of the exploding soda cans before one sent her flying, "KYAAA~!"
Blake had grabbed a long sausage link from one of the tables, using it as a whip to try and knock away a few of the soda cans, only to grunt when one exploded near her. She looked up..only to tense when she saw several hundreds of them hovering around Pyrrha, the red head moving her arms as she sent out the flurry of cans at her.
"What the…?!" Makoto gawked, stopping in chasing Nora for a moment, "Is she freakin' Magn-AHH!" she yelped as she ended up caught up in the blast.
"Oh that's gonna be so sticky…" Ben muttered.
"More than that…" Skurd muttered, peeking out from underneath the Omnitrix, "It would seem they outnumber the young girl in the red hood now…"
Ruby looked around before narrowing her eyes. With that, Ben blinked and all that was left where she had been was dissolving rose petals. A trail of them followed her and she ran right at JNPR and RKLS.
"...What's she doing…?" Jaune whispered.
"It looks like she's…" Rex began before tensing, seeing a huge pile of food and soda cans following right behind the blur, "...Uh oh."
"Oh this is gonna suck," Naoto whispered with wide eyes.
"...Lambda, any options!? We…!" Sari called out as she turned…and saw the doors to the cafeteria closing, "..."
"Did….did she just ditch us?!" Jaune gawked.
"No…I think it's more like she came up with the conclusion," Ren muttered just as Ruby ran past them.
"Yeah….we're f-" Naoto began before he and the others were suddenly caught up in the tailwind, "AHH!"
"Incoming!" Rex panicked.
*CRASH!*
"...What was that?" Kento blinked, he and Rintaro pausing in eating some pastries.
"...Mmm…" he shrugged, "Doesn't seem to be monster related…so…"
"Not our problem then~" Kento smirked while taking a sip of tea.
"Your wisdom is deeper than I ever imagined, Kento." Rintaro nodded in awe.
"Thank you. See? I'm more than just a pretty face," Kento chuckled.
"...I do believe I see Mr. Ogami…and Ms. Goodwitch," Rintaro noted as he looked out the window, "...oh the latter is…I think the term Nora would use is nettled."
"...I'm gonna take a crack and say that something happened with the girls then," Kento sighed, "Who knows what they did…"
"Like making a mess of the cafeteria?"
"Yeah…I highly doubt….that…" Kento trailed off.
"..."
"...ugh…come on...let's see what they caused this time…"
"I wonder how bad it'll be this time on the scale Touma made," Rintaro pondered.
"...ow…." Sari winced, she and the rest of Team RKLS and Team JNPR plastered to the wall while covered in various foods and drinks.
"Ahh…my mouth was open…" Naoto gagged.
"Bleagh…" Rex groaned as he and the others began to slowly slide off.
"...Well…talk about a turn around," Skurd noted, "She used a sonic boom to take them all out in one fell swoop."
"Did we win?" Ben asked.
"That was awesome!" Makoto shouted, "Let's do it again!"
"Can we…please not….?" Mai asked, crawling through the window as her hair and clothes were dripping wet.
"...I freakin' love this place," Sun whispered as he poked out from behind an overturned table, "I told ya they were cool, N-" he began as he turned…and saw his friend covered in a purple stain, "...oh…."
"Grr…"
*SLAM!*
"?!" the two turned to see Glynda and a rather large man walking into the wrecked cafeteria.
"Whew….dang," the man whispered as he looked around, "You kids wrecked the entire place…"
"Gh!" those who knew both cringed.
"Uh-oh…" those who only knew Glynda muttered.
"Mm…" Gylnda frowned before holding her riding crop up, causing every single table to fly up as they began to line up perfectly in order, "...children…"
"?! the fours teams tensed as they all stood at attention.
"Next time…Do not play with your food."
"What was that about playing with food?" Kento blinked as he and Rintaro walked in…and soon saw the conditions of team JNPR, "...Food fight?"
"Food War," Ren replied with a sigh.
"...We missed a food war?" Rintaro asked, "Darn. I always miss them."
"Was that sarcasm?" Ren deadpanned.
"Is that an elephant?" Rintaro asked, seeing Funkfreed eating some of the fruit that avoided destruction.
"That is a one neat looking elephant," Kento noted before Funkyfreed waved at them with his trunk before resuming his meal, "Smart, too."
"...What happened…" Rintaro muttered, "I do believe this…is not how Food Fights work…at least if those movies Yang gave me are to be believed?" he muttered.
"...Speaking of Yang, where…" Kento began before the blonde crashed through the ceiling and crashed into a table, "?!"
"...I'm okay!" Yang's arm shot up as she gave a thumbs up.
"...How…"
"Nora….watermelon hammer….took a hit for my new best punny gal pal."
"I'm sorry, what?" Kento blinked.
"I didn't understand it either…" Rintaro muttered.
"She made a new best friend…who's almost exactly like her," Blake groaned.
"That'd be me," Makoto spoke up…while holding her arms out as she caught Ben.
"Thanks, babe…" Ben thanked.
"No problem. Always ready to lend a hand," she giggled, earning a laugh from Yang and groans from the others as they realized the squirrel girl punned.
"...What have we stumbled upon?" Rintaro asked.
"Is hiding behind the elephant a good strategy to hide from the puns?" Kento asked.
"Paon?" Funkfreed pondered, a half-eaten banana in his trunk.
"Well…you guys sure made a mess…" the large man sighed out, "Honestly making you clean it would be the go to…but let's face it…you'd all probably screw that up."
"Harsh Mr. Ogami…" Jaune muttered.
"Do ya deny it?" he asked.
"Ryo…be a little more stern with them," Glynda complained.
"What good would it do? These kids are too stupid and it's too late to teach them via yelling…no…we gotta beat the bad out of them…like striking hot iron to make steel. Yes…" Ryo smirked, "A fine punishment…Extra Combat Training! Some of these new boys look far too scrawny to be Huntsmen…and you, Disciple!" he pointed to Jaune, "Have you been keeping up with your muscle training?"
"Y-Yes, sir," Jaune replied.
"Nora's been trying to add more weights all the time," Ren sighed.
"...I'm not scrawny, I'm lithe," Ben muttered.
"What kind of man says such a line?!" Ryo shouted, making Ben flinch, "A man should strive to be strong and dependable!" he flexed his arms, "A man needs to be powerful! How dare you use such a lie to avoid training?!" he picked up Ben, Rex, and Naoto, "Training begins now! 100 laps around the castle! Then Explosion Endurance training!"
"Oh dios mio…I think we're in trouble," Rex gulped.
"Explosion Endurance training?" Naoto asked.
"...We're gonna be thrown into a minefield, aren't we?" Ben asked.
"Oh you know this exercise?" Ryo questioned.
"My Grandpa uses it all the time on rookies," Ben replied before cringing, "Not fun for anyone but the instructor."
"Good! I'll whip you into fighting shape yet!" Ryo spoke before he stopped, his hand shooting out as he grabbed Jaune, Ren, Rintaro, and Kento, "Training all around!"
"...I blame you new students," Kento stated.
"No…but…we got sweets…but…no!" Rintaro cried.
"I suppose that's a sort of punishment." Glynda sighed as she used her Semblance to go about fixing everything, "And you."
"Paon?" Funkfreed pointed at himself.
"At least you didn't play with your food," Glynda stated, earning a nod from the elephant as he resumed his fruit eating.
'Did we just get put below an elephant in manners?' was the thought of those left in the cafeteria.
"I told you they were cool," Sun smiled from behind the cover he and Neptune took earlier while the chaos was getting out of hand.
"Well, it seems like something fun happened here," Ozpin smiled while walking in with Daishinji.
"It would seem I dodged a proverbial bullet. Thank you Professor, your kind interest has spared me from Mr. Ogami's torture." Daishinji bowed before spotting Funkfreed, "..." everyone blinked and Daishinji was looking over the Elephant as it finished off the last piece of watermelon, "Hello~Who owns this one?"
"Oh! Um…Me?" Noel replied.
"Why is your sword an elephant? How did you get that to happen?" Daishinji asked.
"Hm? Oh! That's Funkfreed's Semblance," Noel replied as the elephant got up, walked over to her, and shifted back into his original form that she caught, "See?"
"Ah! He can turn into a sword?!" Ruby awed, popping up beside Daishinji with stars in her eyes.
"I must examine this…this…this is unheard of…it sounds like a sword…but yet it became an Elephant…what in the name of the gods…" Daishinji awed.
"This is the greatest elephant ever~" Ruby squeed.
"Oh, um, well…alright, I guess," Noel replied, "Oh, but um…do you think you could help my friend Mai in return?"
"Hm?" the two tilted their heads.
"She uses a spear to fight, but well…our last mission broke it and she hasn't been able to repair it," Noel explained.
"..." Daishinji just held his hand out, "Hmm…" he motioned to his hand as if waiting.
"Mai!" Noel waved.
"Huh?" Mai blinked.
"Oh, I get it. Smart girl," Makoto snickered before pushing Mai over, "Show them."
"Huh? Show what?"
"She…um…oh, I'm sorry, I don't think I got your name. I'm Ruby Rose, by the way."
"Noel Vermillion."
"Noel said you have a broken spear?" Ruby asked.
"Yes," Mai replied as she held up her destroyed weapon, along with Milas's harp and trident, "I'm kinda hoping to integrate these into it."
"Ah! You poor thing!" Ruby gasped, holding her spear and looking it over, "It looks like it was overloaded on Lightning Dust."
"The guy we were fighting used a lot of water with his Semblance, channeling it through his harp and trident," Mai explained, "My weapon was the best one to use to beat him and I won these for defeating him."
"Hmm…" Daishinji looked over the harp and trident, tapping the latter, "This is a fascinating alloy."
"Oh! Blueprints!" Ruby gasped, pulling out a small piece of folded blueprint paper from the mangled spear, "Let's see…Oh! This is interesting! Daishinji, look!"
"Hm? Ohh~Fascinating," Daishinji noted before both nodded and looked at Mai, "We'll get started after we examine the elephant-sword."
"I don't like those looks in their eyes…" Noel muttered.
"Capture it!" Ruby ordered.
"Yes Commander!" Daishinji saluted.
"EEK!" Noel yelped as she ran off, "BAD EYES!"
"SWORD~!" both shouted, running after her.
"Ah, w-wait up!" Mai called as she ran after them, "You still have my spear!"
"Don't call me, I'll call you!" Daishinji shouted.
"Funkfreed, run!"
"...I think you guys are gonna fit in just fine," Yang noted.
"Thanks!" Makoto beamed.
"I'm not sure that's a good thing…" Sari muttered.
"It really isn't…" Weiss sighed.
"Oh! How do you keep track of your puns, BTW? I tend to keep a small notebook on hand myself," Makoto admitted.
"Oh, I save them in a doc on my Scroll," Yang replied, "That way, I can just scroll through it for the right pun."
"...You don't mind if I do corporal punishment, do you?" Sari asked, she and Weiss giving deadpan, annoyed looks at the two girls as they started to pun with one another.
"Go ahead."
"Thank you," Sari nodded as she snapped her fingers…
*KRA-KOOM!*
…and the two busty brawlers groaned on the floor, twitching and sparking.
"I swear, Makoto is the reason why I'm getting so dang good at targeting with this," Sari sighed.
"Was that your Semblance?" Weiss asked.
"Part of it. It's named 'Urbosa's Fury' after a great hero of a tribe of women I became a member of," Sari replied.
"That's amazing," Weiss awed.
"It's shocking…" the downed duo groaned before Sari held her fingers up, "Mercy~"
"Nope."
*SNAP! KRA-KOOM!*
"Ow…"
"That seemed excessive…" Blake muttered.
"But entertaining." Weiss smirked.
"Hoo boy…" Bobo groaned as he plopped into an empty seat, "This had to be the biggest payout yet…all fer some cultural festival or somethin'…"
"It's a big old tournament between schools of fighting teenagers. You know basic tournament arc stuff." Tsukasa explained, "But it just means more weird stuff can happen."
"...weird as in how?" Rook questioned.
"Just be careful on who you end up meeting here in this world," Tsukasa advised, "Not all as it seems at times…"
"...there are other types of dangerous forces in this world, isn't there?"
"Caught it in one," Tsukasa sighed, "Extremist groups, thieves, people using hte Grimm for their own benefits…book monsters."
"Excuse you?"
"Shh…" Tsukasa replied simply, "But warning if you find a tiny hardcover book…don't open it…or you'll die."
"...duly noted," Rook whispered with wide eyes.
"...let me guess, more of that masked rider related stuff?" Bobo asked.
"Say it wrong again and I banish you to a zombie dimension." Tsukasa warned.
"Okay okay yeesh!" Bobo exclaimed as he held his hands up, "Fine….are those book things more of that Kamen Rider related stuff?"
"Better…" Tsukasa smirked, "And yes," he nodded, "Collect enough of them and…well…you become Omnipotent. Borderline god."
"..I shouldn't have asked…"
"And yet you did," Tsukasa smirked before he heard a jingle, "Oop…next round of tourist arriving."
"Ah geez…" Bobo groaned.
"I am sure Ben is having just as hard of a time," Rook stated.
"It's school…what's the worst that could happen?"
*BOOM!*
"Ahh!"
"Come on, you rookies! Double time go go go!" Ryo shouted as the boys tried to run through a field, an explosion going off now and again, "Is that the best you can do! I wanna see some hustle! It's not a problem till the Aura breaks and you're covered in dirt, burns and sweat! And sometimes Blood…but only if you're soft!"
"This guy's insane…" Naoto whispered with wide eyes.
"Not even Six' training was this brutal…!" Rex groaned mostly to himself.
"Come on, next comes the part where I throw rocks at you!" he lifted up a boulder, "Flaming rocks!"
"He's…insane…" Ben grunted.
"He…calls himself the Strongest Huntsmen for a reason…" Kento grunted.
"It's…not so bad…at least it's not combat training and we need to attack him…his Semblance makes him invincible…" Rintaro huffed, "I…I think I lost one of my lungs back there…"
"I think my spleen is back there…" Jaune groaned.
"It's…alright…we just need to survive a little while longer, eventually…he will need to pick his son up from school…then…we have our chance to escape," Ren spoke.
"...he has a kid?" Rex blinked before a click went off, "...that was another mine, w-"
*BOOM!*
"AAH!" they all screamed.
"Whew…that was a biggun!" Ryo laughed.
"So…why do we let him do this to the boys?" Makoto asked Nora as the girls watched from nearby.
"I dunno…he's always normal and respectful to us." Nora shrugged.
"Also we can't really stop him…" Pyrrha muttered sheepishly.
"And by that she means…we've tried. But we just figure as long as he just picks on the boys…no skin off our noses." Weiss explained.
"My leg!" Ben shouted.
"That's my leg…" Ren sighed.
"My back…" Jaune groaned.
"I think I lost a tooth…" Naoto groaned.
'Come on that's nothing!" Ryo declared as he pumped one of his arms, "I took on an entire herd of Beowolves and their Alphas all at once…and I still came out of that without any scars!"
"I think it's safe to say…" Rex groaned as he forced himself up, "We're not built like you are…"
"Not with that attitude!"
"That's not how muscles work!"
"Course it is! You need to shred and destroy them! Then with rest they restore and become even stronger!"
"That's…Exactly how they work…" several of them muttered.
"So it stands to reason…the worse you shred and absolutely destroy them to the bone…the Better and bigger they grow back!" Ryo cheered as he flexed.
"Are you trying to kill us!?" Naoto gawked.
"If you survive you'll just grow stronger! NOW FIGHT FOR YOUR LIVES!" he lifted a giant boulder…as it suddenly lit on fire before he chucked it at them.
"AHH!" the boys freaked as they went back to running away from the flaming boulder.
"Does…does that work?" Noel asked.
"Not scientifically." Lambda replied.
"Will…they be okay?" Mai asked.
"Depends…" Blake muttered, "Kento and Rintaro are amazingly gifted in combat…and they are out for a day or two at best after this training. Ren hasn't been roped in as much so we'll see…"
"I got Ren covered~" Nora smiled, putting a nurse's hat on her head.
"And Jaune?" Sari asked.
"It normally takes him the better part of four days…to stop groaning." Pyrrha muttered.
"I keep telling ya to put on the nurse's hat for him," Nora argued.
"Oh…I'm not going to do that." Pyrrha politely declined.
"You sure? He'd probably like it~"
"..." Noel said nothing as she looked back between Jaune and Pyrrha for a moment or so, "...ahh…"
"Noellie, no…" Makoto began.
"Notepad! I n-no! Book! I need a book!" Noel exclaimed.
"Wait…you guys have a Touma?" Ruby blinked.
"Wait…you guys have a Noel?" Makoto blinked.
"He's an actual author though."
"Noel likes to come up with new poems and/or stories on anything romantic she sees," Sari explained.
"Ah ha! See!? Even the new girl sees it!" Nora shouted, making Pyrrha's blush increase as she tried to look away.
"What about you and Ren?" Makoto asked, making Nora blush this time.
"Oh~ Someone finally asks it?" Yang smirked.
"...I shall not be denied!" Noel shouted as she ran off, "BOOKS!"
"...ugh. Ok…who's turn is it this time?" Sari asked amongst herself, Makoto, and Lambda.
"Not it," Lambda instantly spoke, "...sister is scary when determined…"
"Just bop her on the head, nature's snooze button." Yang offered.
"Wait wha?" Noel blinked before Yang bopped her on the head, making her go limp and fall over.
"...why didn't we think of that?" the trio that knew the shy blond whispered, bopping their fist into their opened palms.
"She's…oddly fine…hmm. Almost no head trauma…" Lambda blinked, knelt down as she lightly tapped her sister, "Bluey, take note of this."
"I've really never seen such a rabbit before," Weiss whispered as she looked at the Blupee…who was actually writing something down in a notepad.
"Very special Bunny," Lambda explained, "I found him in a mountain, but have yet to see another." she half-lied, while true she saw several before, that was in another world and since then never have they come across another Blupee.
"Ahh…"
"Also he teleports and becomes invisible when he's scared," Lambda added.
"Plus try not to hurt or scare him intentionally," Makoto added, "Predator tried that once…she basically cut its head clean off."
"Wow," Yang blinked, "I guess that beasty's head wasn't in the game."
*SNAP! KRA-COOM!*
"...worth it…." Yang groaned as she sparked a bit.
"You're gonna grow tired of it eventually…" Weiss sighed while turning to Sari, "Believe me…if that was effective at stopping her…it'd have worked months ago."
"I am very stubborn…oh…the pain…" Yang groaned.
"I'm amazed your hair is still…amazing…" Makoto awed, "How…"
"Hah! It'll take more than a little zap to mess up my hair!" Yang gloated.
"Don't take that as an invitation to try!" Ruby panicked, "The last time someone messed with Yang's hair…we had to help rebuild two city blocks worth of property damage and ten people wound up in the hospital!"
"...Huh…Makoto's basically the same way, but with her tail," Mai noted, "Though last time someone grabbed it…they were sent flying into a warehouse….halfway across from the city…we had to rebuild the entire warehouse…and the factory it was part of."
"Hey my hair is short for a reason, but mess with the tail and you pay in blood and teeth." Makoto added to this little sentiment.
"See? She gets it," Yang smiled.
"We think Yang's hair might somehow be tied to her power…" Blake whispered.
"Our friend Touma figured it out, said it's like the story of some dude named Samson," Ruby shrugged.
"Huh…noted," Mai noted, '…wait. Wasn't there a similar story back in our world?'
"...on an unrelated note…" Ruby began before zipping over to Lambda, eying the Ancient Flails on her back, "What are those~?!"
"Hmm?" Lambda blinked before following her line of sight, "Ah….personal weapon. Special flails made by a friend."
"They look high-tech yet ancient at the same time," Weiss noted as Nora poked it a bit.
"In a way yes, also…" she began as she got up, grabbing one of her weapons before flicking it, grabbing a nearby mace as she pulled it back, causing a hardlight structure of said weapon to appear in her other hand, "It can copy the weapons it grabs."
"Wha…?!" Ruby gawked, "That's so cool! It uses Hardlight Dust!"
"...Mmm…I didn't ask…" she shrugged simply, "Just know how to use and maintain. A friend Sento made them for me; he would know more about it then me."
"He…made a lot of stuff for us. But he had to leave." Sari sighed, "But we have been meeting some new friends that helped us fix and repair our gear."
"We're…not exactly smart at the technical stuff…" Makoto chuckled, "Or rather…we relied on someone who had an IQ of 600…"
"Eh?!" Team RWBY, along with Pyrrha and Nora gawked at that.
"Well the trade off was his massive castle sized ego…but to be fair it was balanced by his equally giant heart of gold." Makoto added, "It just took a bit to see it after all his gloating of how brilliant he is."
"And he gloated…a lot," Sari and Mai added.
"...at least he's not like Cardin," Pyrrha stated.
"Who?"
"School bully, but also the school buttmonkey," Nora answered, "...matter of fact…"
"Hey! Where's my mace?!" a voice snapped.
"...his mace?" Lambda asked, holding up the weapon gripped by her Ancient Flail.
"Eeyup."
"Hey you!" the girls turned to se a young man with short, slicked back brown hair stomping up to them, "Did you steal my mace, y-"
*CLICK! BOOOM!*
"AHH!"
"I tried to warn ya to not leave your weapons near my training field!" Ryo called out to the flying brunette.
"Is he like…unlucky?" Makoto blinked.
"He seems…too stupid to be a normal bully…even for the stereotype…" Sari muttered.
"Yeah for some reason ever since Jaune stood up to him…nothing but bad things happened to him." Blake shrugged.
"We're not sorry." Pyrrha smiled.
"No we are not," Nora nodded in agreement.
"Personally I think it's karma for him bullying Jaune, picking on Velvet-another Faunus friend of ours-, blackmailing Jaune, and trying to get him to throw sap and Rapier Wasps at us," Yang stated.
"...oh so he's one of those vindictive, 'machoman' type of bullies," Makoto noted with a frown.
"Bingo."
"...worthless then," Lambda stated as she flicked her wrist, making her weapon let go of the mace as it was sent flying, the hardlight weapon in her other hand dissipating.
"...Eh. Seems about right," Nora shrugged.
"Okay boys…break time!" Ryo shouted, making the guys groan as they all collapsed, "Feel that ache in your bones and muscles? That's strength and endurance buildin' right there!"
"You…are…neither human…nor Faunus…you are a monster…" Kento groaned.
"From beyond our scope of understanding…" Rintaro added.
"Ren…did we die?"
"No…"
"Good…then I have something to look forward to…" Jaune grunted.
"Kill us…" Rex and Naoto groaned.
"If I die…I leave everything I own…to….Makoto…" Ben grunted, face first on the ground.
"...Anyone got any ice?" Makoto asked, "It really works for those sore muscles."
"Weiss?" Ruby blinked.
"Hah…fine…just to stop their crying." Weiss sighed as she pulled out her rapier sword Myrtenaster. She pointed it as she pulled back on the hammer making its chamber spin before a white colored section lit up, spinning magic circles like glyphs forming over the boys before raining ice and snow on them.
"Oh…oh that's much better…" Naoto sighed in relief.
"Don't know who summoned the ice…but frankly don't care right now…relaxing in snow and ice," Rex whispered.
"You're welcome," Weiss huffed a bit at that.
"Thanks, Weiss," Kento sighed, making her sequel for a moment.
"...crushin' hard on him?" Makoto whispered to Yang.
"It's the pretty boy face…" Yang nodded.
"He's so pretty…like even more than most girls…" Nora added.
"I honestly don't see it," Ruby shrugged.
"That's 'cause you're probably gonna end up being the weird one who takes their weapon to the school dance." Weiss sighed.
"Oh please…I'm not that crazy," Ruby huffed.
"You realize you probably can't trick any of your friends who are guys into going with ya given they all have someone who may or may not be interested in them…" Yang smiled.
"Wait, what?" Ruby blinked.
"Oh my gosh…you actually were?!" Yang laughed.
"N-no I wasn't!"
"Hahaha! My baby sister is so innocent!"
"Yang!"
"It's okay. Big sisters often have the right to tease their young siblings," Makoto stated.
"Mmm~!"
"See…she gets it." Yang smiled, slinging her arm around Makoto's shoulder.
"It is honestly scary that those two get along so well," Mai whispered.
"Oh hush, it's nice to make new friends." Makoto complained, "We all have while on our little trip."
"A trip?" Blake repeated.
"We've more or less been traveling around the world," Sari explained.
"Seeing sights and all that," Mai added.
"...wh-"
"Can't say…" Lambda stated, "Classified assignment."
"...really?" Rintaro asked as he shot his head up
"Go back to defeat…" Kento tossed a small ball of snow in Rintaro's face.
"...only because this snow is oddly relaxing…"
"Alright..breaks over!" Ryo called out, "Back t-"
"H-hold it!" Sari spoke up, earning Ryo's attention, "Wouldn't it be better if they ate first? I mean..they worked out a lot, and…well there was the food war we had, so they barely got a chance to eat…"
"Hmm…you got a good point there, Little lady." Ryo nodded, "Boys Carbo load!" he ordered, "I'm gonna go pick up Sora from school early."
"Oh thank god/the gods," the boys groaned in relief as Ryo walked off.
"Thanks Sari…" Ben sighed.
"Just looking out for you guys," Sari shrugged, "Also after seeing all that…I think that was even rougher than Jubei's training."
"No! NO IT WASN'T! Ben exclaimed, "I still have nightmares about the pit in the training room."
"What's so bad about…" Jaune began
"He had a bunch of tigers in there…hungry tigers," Ben whispered, knowing in truth those Tigers were hard light copies.
"...how are you alive?!"
"I got really lucky."
"We can attest to that," Sari, Mai, and Makoto added while giving a shiver, Noel giving a slight twitch in addition.
"Least it wasn't his 'Dodge!' training," Makoto muttered.
"THAT'S TOMORROW!" Ryo shouted from the distance, "I PLAN TO GIVE MY SON CONTROL OF THE ARTILLERY!"
"AHH!" the boys freaked as they shot up.
"Please no!" Rintaro freaked.
"M-maybe we should head somewhere else to eat?!" Kento suggested.
"GREAT IDEA!" Ben, Naoto, and Rex agreed.
"Run!" Jaune ordered.
"You heard the man! Vaminos! Andale! Andale!" Ren spoke as they all got up and began trying to run.
However they didn't get far as the sore muscles and muscle cramps made them all cry in varying degrees of pain as they mostly limped away. Struggling their best to escape as fast as they could in spite of the pain and aches. But like lumbering zombies off a really bad horror movie, they did their best as slow as they could. Even when they all stumbled over and were actually crawling away with their hands. It was almost kind of funny how spooked they were, mostly to our dimensional travelers with how cocky Ben and Rex tend to be about how strong they are.
"...so…escort?" Yang asked.
"Yup," Makoto nodded, walking over as she picked Ben up, "Come on…I can probably find something to whip up for ya."
"Thanks babe…"
"Nora…if I ever complain about strength again…hit me…" Ren groaned.
"Aw~ Like I wouldn't anyway." Nora smiled, helping him up.
"So…what lessons were learned?" Sari taunted.
"...That life is harsh and you enjoy our pain and torment…" Rex grumbled.
"I think I coughed up my lung earlier…" Naoto groaned, "I'm…gonna be sore for days."
"Master…is that you…yes…I shall join you soon…wait for me…" Rintaro held his arm up to the sky.
"N-No…Rintaro…don't…we still need you…don't die, you well intended idiot…" Kento groaned.
"Aunt Yuki? That you…?" Naoto groaned as Mai and Sari helped him up, "Who's your friend…?"
"They are really out of it…" Mai whispered.
"That's how it usually is after Mr. Ogami's training," Blake sighed.
"I may need to think of internal utilization for the samples for Benjamin for times like this…" Skurd muttered to himself.
"Hmm?" Blake blinked a bit before looking over at Ben, swearing she saw something crawl underneath his watch, '...did I hear someone just now?'
The gang finally made it back, helping drag their new friends back to their dorms, then struggled to make it for the last airship down to town. They all groaned, barging into their temporary traveling abode.
"So…how was school?" Rook asked.
"Painful…" Rex wheezed as he, Ben, and Naoto staggered in.
"We've been torn apart…blown up…and crushed…" Naoto groaned.
"I see the light…" Ben gasped out.
"Hi~" Tsukasa smiled standing next to them, "So…how was your first day?"
"You knew this would happen?"
"I knew Macho Man Super Dad would push his ideals of masculinity on three skinny teenage boys who have egos?" Tsukasa asked, "Well actually I do…but…you can't really do anything, now can you?"
"D'oh…" the trio groaned as they plopped onto some chairs.
"I'll take that as a yes."
"...On another note…" Sari began while jerking a thumb at Makoto, "A certain female punster of ours ended up meeting her long-lost soul sister."
"Beg pardon?" Rook blinked.
"Oh…you met them," Tsukasa noted.
"Wait…you knew?" Mai blinked.
"Of course I did," Tsukasa stated, "This is another Rider World…specifically a Crossed one."
"...There are Kamen Riders here?" Makoto asked as she was instantly before him, "Which ones?! Tell me, man!"
"Sorry to say, but I don't think you know them. These ones all use swords," he smiled, "Magic swords that only one user can wield at a time."
"...huh…Magic sword wielding Kamen Riders…." Makoto noted, "That's new…and interesting…and I take it they come after Build?"
"Yup."
"...shoot. Now you got me curious on what shows I missed," Makoto muttered, "...and I will ponder that as I am making dinner for my man and the others."
"Good, because I'm done fer today!" Bobo shouted as he walked out from the back, "Made out like bandits today…but good god the lines!"
"It wasn't as bad as I thought," Rook stated.
"Yeah, well you were the one who got the weirdos askin' ya to join dis White Fang business."
"Heads up, if you see some Faunus asking ya to join their organization, deny immediately," Tsukasa stated to Makoto.
"Why?"
"Well intended group turned radical and crazy when their kind big burly boss with a heart of gold retired and his bitchy literal tiger lady replacement turned them into well…uhm…terrorist…" Tsukasa muttered.
"Ooh…noted," Makoto cringed a bit at that as she began to walk to the kitchen.
"Another heads up, but we're kinda low on ingredients," Bobo informed, "That lunch rush took out more than we thought…"
"..." Tsukasa snapped his fingers.
"Uh…looks full to me," Makoto replied.
"How…did…" Bobo looked at Tsukasa.
"I can't make anything if that's what you're asking, a totally different Super Hero for that power. I can only destroy…and summon stuff from other dimensions," Tsukasa explained.
"Seriously?"
"Trust me...it's both annoying and useful at the same time."
"Wait…is that how we've had food?" Mai blinked.
"When have any of you ever gone to the store?" Tsukasa asked, "Do you think I would ever do that, gross no." he chuckled, "Ah no…I just get it from neighboring universes."
"Isn't that…stealing?" Lambda asked.
"Prove it." Tsukasa replied.
"...Mmm~" Lambda puffed her cheeks at that, knowing she can't argue with him.
"So…is anything weird gonna happen?" Sari asked.
"As long as we aren't here during a…tournament, then yes we'll be fine. Unless you do something stupid like sign up for an away mission that can lead you on a long journey through the monster infested forest." Tsukasa rambled.
"Youse are talkin' to a buncha super-powered teens," Bobo pointed out, "Youse are dangling them a big carrot with dat last one."
"...Ben…Rex…" Sari warned, her sword out and crackling with Urbosa's Fury.
"We won't, we won't…" both 'leaders' groaned from their seats.
"Good," Sari nodded as she sheathed her weapon.
"It teaches impulse control." Tsukasa spoke, "If they lack it…they can take their lumps. Or zaps if the Cybertronian has her way."
"And I will too," Sari added.
"So…we wait for Mai's spear and then we head to the next world?" Ben changed the subject.
"Basically yeah," Tsukasa shrugged, "So you guys can relax with whatever here…unless…"
"They were ready to start vacation time by the time we got there," Naoto spoke.
"Then you can relax and goof off...like normal teens." he replied, "So long as no one says yes…to a quest." he smirked as he leaned back.
"Oh don't worry…" Sari began, holding her pointer and middle fingers up as electricity sparked on them, "I'll make sure they don't…"
"...I for one am quite amused by that notion of laying low," Skurd noted, poking out from under the Omnitrix, "While everyone was focused on Funkfreed, I decided to try a little taste of that Goliath…" he shuddered, "No. Just…no. There was nothing to it. No DNA whatsoever. Whatever those Grimm are…they are unnatural."
"Yeah, they aren't really alive. Literally no soul." Tsukasa explained, "Pure evil."
"I'll say…" Skurd muttered while shivering.
"No talk of evil…just please…relax…" Naoto groaned, "Not even my own training was this harsh…"
"Good, because dinner should be ready soon!" Makoto called from the kitchen.
"..."
"...ugh. Noelllie, get in here so you can make something for Mai."
"I have a new recipe in mind!" Noel beamed as she ran in, "I even found a cookbook at this nice bookstore run by a man named Tuckson on the way home! I'm going to have to write all this down in English so I don't lose the recipes when we leave." she giggled, "I hope he's open tomorrow so I can buy a few more along with some poetry books I noticed."
'Oooh~' Tsukasa gave a mental cringe the moment he heard that name.
