. . . . .

A/N: Told you we'd get into Omniverse. I think Omniverse sucks more than it's good, but it does have some good plot events.

"Who's the idiot who let Ben Tennyson act as spokesperson for the alien community?" Kazu held a hand out towards the television, "And can I kick their butt?"

Kenta covered his eyes. On the screen, Tennyson as Waybig crashed into the building right behind the podium. Breaking news quickly hit the airwaves as reports of a slew of aliens were breaking above ground from Bellwood's streets, fully intending on abandoning Earth, despite having used it as a safe haven for what appeared to be a long time, judging from the amount of items some these aliens held on their spaceships. Reports of protest and calls for answers broke out as well. Including irrational accusations of one Will Harangue that both Kazu and Kenta hoped Ben wouldn't prove correct.

"There won't be a Digimon able to walk around now." Kenta moaned.

"I assume the people of Japan at least know the difference between a Digimon and the aliens who just made themselves known," Albedo stood up, "or is that too much hope?"

Kenta gave him an odd look. Kazu grinned. Ryo kept his focus on the television screen. Albedo looked at Kenta, wondering if he had given himself away. Kazu gave him no hint, so he carried out as normal.

MarineAngemon flew to the television. "Phoo! Phoo!" The digimon pointed a tiny wing to the piece of electronics.

"Ryo." Hints of snarling snuck in Monodramon's voice. "Do you see them?"

"Shit." Ryo narrowed his eyes and stood. Albedo had already left the apartment.

"I do believe this is a moment to shine." Andromon spoke up.

Kazu and Kenta both stood up, noticing the odd spaceships filling up the sky above the podim. Tennyson flew around as various aliens, dodging laser weapons.

"Dude..." kazu murmured.

"Meet you outside!" Ryo called taking what most would consider to be a leap of faith out of one of Kazu and Kenta's apartment windows. Monodramon followed him closely.

Kazu and Kenta raced out of the apartment, chasing after both Ryo and Albedo. "So." Kazu questioned, breathing relatively lightly for the speed which they ran. "on the condition that Japan has to ally with the United States while one of these two is president-"

"-Seriously Kazu?" Kenta gave him a look as they rushed down the stairs. A few civilians joined them in a state of panic.

"Not a good time?" Kazu looked back searching for Andromon in the crowd.

"Ask later." Albedo's voice rang out.

Kazu looked at his Digivice, as did Kenta.

"Alex? How are you speaking through our digivices?" Kenta questioned.

"You didn't know your D-Arcs could do that?" Albedo spoke calmly, "You should fiddle with them more often."

Kenta glanced out a window to see Albedo already outside, bracing the crowds of who ran from the attacking Incursean ships. At the moment, there were few but still enough to cause some serious damage. Kenta stopped for a moment staring in awe as Justimon landed on a ship and ran his blade through the top of it as he ran along the roof.

"Dude!" Kazu pulled his hand, "Let's go."

"Y-yea!" Kenta looked back out the window even as he followed Kazu. Sometimes Ryo did things that were solely meant to remind everyone that he was indeed the Legendary Tamer. It didn't make those actions any less impressive.

"While you're dilly-dallying up there, you could take a moment to contact the other Tamers and tell them to rendezvous at these coordinates." Albedo's voice rang out from Kenta's digivice as a holographic map appeared on screen.

"Whoa." Kenta spoke as he and Kazu exited the building. Andromon and MarineAngemon caught up to them.

"That is Henry's apartment." Andromon spoke.

"Uh huh." Kenta nodded.

Kazu already had his cell phone out.

Kenta looked up at the slightest indication of a bright red light. A Necroffrigian resembling Ben Tennyson's own "Big Chill'' flew out from between a few buildings. The alien flew with a clear destination in mind. He gasped as Incursean ships aimed their weapons at it. Andromon stepped forward, firing it's Gatling Missiles. "Nice shot, Andromon!" Kenta cheered.

"Sometimes, I do get it right."

Kazu winced as the ship tilted in the sky as though it were to fall, then burst into flaming wreckage. "Okay. I managed to contact Rika and Chumly. Henry's silent, but I'll keep trying. Rika's gonna get Jeri and then they'll get Ai and Mako, while Takato heads to the Wongs since he's closest."

Andromon provided back up fire for the white and black ships that filed out from the area surrounding the Tokyo Metropolitan Building to take on the Incursean ships. Occasionally some kind of hexagonal hologram or something lit up in the sky.

"What is that? The barrier thing?" Kazu questioned watching Justimon slice up another ship.

"It's the barrier shield surrounding Earth." Justimon's voice rang from Kazu's D-Arc. "You don't think aliens aside from digimon would live on a planet that doesn't have one would ya?" He quipped.

Kazu laughed halfheartedly. "Good point."

"Direct the humans, discreetly, to the location Alex gave you."

Kazu and Kenta looked at each other.

"It's one of the six safe havens in the area just for this kind of situation."

"What about you?" Kenta spoke into his digivice.

"I'm following the Necrofriggian. Follow if you want, but getting anyone who doesn't have a survival plan to one of the safe havens is top priority."

"Alright."

"No problem."

"Phoo! Phoo!" MarineAngemon pulled on Kenta.

"Did it?" Kenta looked at his partner. "

"Phoo!"

"Huh?" Kenta looked at Kazu.

"What's up?" Kazu kept an eye on Andromon as he took out ships when his weapons managed to hit. He wondered just how Beelzemon was training his partner while he stayed in the Digital World. The Incursean ships were fast, but no one told them Andromon's missiles were heat seeking missiles.

Kenta shoved his D-Arc in his pocket. When he looked at Kazu firmly, his lover did the same with his own D-Arc. "MarineAngemon says that Necroffrigian had red eyes."

"Phoo! Phoo!" The small digimon cried.

"What's that got to do with us? Do the Incurseans have aliens they're controlling?" Kazu looked at Kenta as his thoughts ran wild.

Kenta shook his head, "Don't know, but he says they're Albedo red." Kenta clenched his fists.

"Hoo boy." Kazu sighed. Then he grinned. "Ah well, we were gonna follow Ryo anyway, right?"

Kenta nodded eagerly. The two followed Justimon. The Digimon had taken to using the ships as springboards, so he had managed to make a pretty good headway. As they directed panicking humans to Henry's apartment building, they tried not to think of what was behind that barrier surrounding the planet, should it go down.

Albedo as Negative Big Chill landed near the food court, hiding behind some buildings. He concentrated and returned to his Alex Strong form, instead of his Tennyson cage, as a result of his ID mask. He looked at his hands, and moved to giving himself a look over. "That was quite some time for my usual transformation length." He noted as he fixed his clothes.

As Big Chill, he felt as though he were in a lighter version of his dreams. A static filled voice he couldn't quite recognize filled his brain, telling him that with a full charge, he had a few minutes to hold his transformation, instead of the usual thirty seconds Tennyson had glitched him with. It wound down by the second as he traveled using his Necrofriggian abilities to phase through buildings, allowing him to travel quickly.

He fell back against the building, using it to hold himself up as he worked to regain both his breath and energy. He assumed by holding a transformation as long as he had, he was invoking the wrath of Tennyson of his mentor and he should work quickly before either decided to ignore the Incurseans in favor of beating him to a pummel once again.

He looked around and took off his ID mask after he deemed it safe enough to. Japanese plumbers were all over the place in the sky and air. Plumbers just like your everyday cops would ignore the larger threat at hand to take down a prison escapee like him, that much he knew. He fiddled with the ID mask. He put the mask back on when he was satisfied. He walked out the alley in a matching Plumber suit, blending in with those around him. Now all there was was to make sure a higher up didn't give him an order.

He walked to the food court. The area was not empty however, and many of those there had taken to making themselves targets by hiding under the food tables until fire from the Insursean ships died down. There were others who, in quite the organized fashion, were directing those under the tables to the businesses to use as a shelter. A much better plan, but it still made themselves targets.

He made himself discreet again, taking shelter behind more buildings. If he and they did this right, the Incurseans wouldn't fire on the civilians as much as they were now. 'Dead civilians mean no workers. No workers mean nothing to help regain the money this invasion attempt is costing them.' He thought as he grabbed his D-Terminal.

"I need a signal amplifier." He spoke into the device. "There are too many civilians to move without some direction of where to go."

"On it." Justimon replied.

Albedo watched Justimon end another Incurseason ship on the screen of his D-Terminal. The digimon's red scarf fluttered in the wind, like a silent declaration of a battle cry. Albedo fiddled with a few more settings on his device as he waited for Justimon's reply. Incursean ships took to firing at him in excess.

'Sir! We've lost connection with HQ!'

He heard from his D-Terminal's speakers. A chill ran through him as he clenched his D-Terminal.

'Orders!' He heard the same plumber question. A male, who was starting to sound quite panicked.

"Main or local?"

The man was as fearless as Tennyson, Albedo had to admit. He looked up and realized he were nowhere near as dumb, though he was pretty sure he already knew that. 'By jumping from ship to ship with Incurseans firing at him, Justimon's made the ships in danger of shooting each other. What fools. At least they stopped shooting at the civilians so much.'

'Local, Sir!'

"Copy that! Keep patched in with local, and attempt to contact main! Get these ships down!" Justimon waved an arm, "If Alpha and Omega squads can't get to the ships firing at the barrier none of this will matter. I don't care how! Get it done!"

Albedo waited for the chorus of "Yes sir!" and "Roger that!" to die down before he spoke. "You've lost connection with Hypnos." He looked around, keeping watch of the sky fight, "Have the Incurseans taken it?"

"Too soon to tell." Justimon replied. "Your amplifier should be up in a few seconds. Let me know if you need more juice."

"Of course." Albedo felt a bit like an underling. It reminded him of days on Galvan Prime. Though there was something more respectful about Justimon's voice, speaking to him as though they were on the same level. His mentor wouldn't be caught dead speaking to him that way.

He shook his head forcing himself to focus before his thoughts ran away from him. "Perfect." he looked at the indication of a strong signal on his D-Terminal. He set it to scan all human connections available, then sent his message. He watched as civilians looked at their cellphones and smartphones. He typed in some more commands and sent code that would properly direct them to the nearest safe house.

"Geeze, man." Justimon spoke, "When did you get a chance to get into Plumber certs?"

"You've forgotten your history." Albedo smirked, "Galvan play a huge role in the working of plumbers. The required codes for some things have changed, however. I can't relay my message to the Plumbers on the ground."

"Got it covered."

Albedo wondered for a moment about what was giving him a strong enough signal to send out all these messages without crashing anything. He then figured that there was a time and place for these thoughts, and that time was not now. He watched the humans, staff, students and others make their way away from the food court area, and hoped they were following directions. He watched plumbers split them up, so they weren't one big moving target sign.

'Minimum charge acquired.'

Albedo nearly jumped at the voice he heard. He looked around, wondering if he had even heard that in his head.

'Thirty second transformations available.'

The same bland voice spoke to him once more. He looked up at an Incursean ship and wondered if he even should. If he switched ID's through his mask, plumbers and Incurseans would spot him either when he transformed or turned back. If he didn't use his mask at all, Plumbers at least would definitely spot him. No, he wasn't worried about not being able to damage a ship beyond repair. Incurseans barely knew how their own ships worked outside the basics, but now wasn't the best time to risk being spotted.

He ran out the alley hiding his D-Terminal in his pants pocket, and mingled with a group of human students he recognized and dared to not endanger by revealing himself. A plumber next to him handed him a spare blaster, and though he wanted to cackle at the irony of being given such a weapon, he nodded in thanks instead. Students eyed him as he cocked and loaded the gun, the weapon clicking and humming and buzzing as he fired it up and looked it over. He could easily tell which students were the ones who thought battles and war consisted of things that essentially put life on easy mode like in those war and military games. A part of Albedo hoped this little show encouraged them to stay in school and learn a bit longer, before running to join the military as though that meant they would one day work alongside Tennyson himself.

"Whoa!"

"Holy shit!"

Nearby plumbers and civilians called out. Albedo sharply turned his head. Andromon, head first, shot through an Incursean ship's hull like a giant bullet. The ship went down bursting into flaming pieces.

Albedo discreetly tapped his ear, reaching for an earbud connected to the ID mask. He waited for the D-Terminal's wireless capabilities to kick in as the children cheered for Andromon.

"Woooohoooo!" Kazu yelled loudly in his ear.

He winced.

"Gatling missiles baby!" Kazu continued yelling. On the down trip, Andromon shot more missiles at another ship, and threw a second ship into a third one. Justimon leaped from ship to ship to grab him as he fell, but he was too far away.

Albedo narrowed his eyes as a familiar Necrofriggian flew and grabbed Andromon. The Necrofriggian launched ice breath at Incursean ships as they landed on the roof of a building. Albedo couldn't see it anymore because the building's blocked his view. 'Dammit Fridge,' he held in a scowl. 'What are you doing?'

"Can you do that again?" Kazu asked in excitement.

"I-I should b-be by the time you get him b-back h-here." An unsure voice replied.

Albedo nearly stopped in place, completely frozen. 'Are they out of their minds!?' He only remembered to not clench his hands because the blaster put a good deal of strain on his arms.

"Now's as good a time as any." Albedo's plumber companion spoke. "This way." She turned around and motioned to Albedo's once students with a hand. "We're taking you to shelter six. We'll get you reunited with your parents and family as soon as we can."

Albedo nodded, walking backwards as she spoke. He noted a student speaking to Aimi, who was still here, working to learn, despite her physical setbacks. He wished he could make more people diligent and wanting to learn as she was. Maybe when or if this whole thing passed over he would come back to these students, as Albedo Lowenthal. For now, he focused on doing his part as Alex Strong to make sure he wasn't stuck on a planet with idiot Incurseans as overlords.
