The planet of Revonnah was in the midst of a rather big send off. Now marked the day a second of their kind left their home and went off to the stars to join the Elite Ranks of the Plumbers. In Fact it was none other than the second eldest of the Rook Family. Rook Shar, who was in the midst of a complex emotional state of excitement, nervousness and maybe a little bit of early homesickness, but it was mostly subdued by the pride of being the second of her family to leave their home and join the Plumbers. She stood on the ramp to board the starship which would take her to the Plumbers Academy. Surrounding her was her family, along with their friends and neighbors here to support and see her off.
"Once again, the stone parts and the young shoots emerge." Rook Da spoke as he looked up at Shar dressed in the white cadet uniform.
"It is a dream come true. Attending Plumber's Academy, and with your blessing father!" Shar smiled as she bowed to her father.
"We…I am proud of you." Rook Da sighed as he just gave her a reassuring smile. Proud he was, but saying bye to his child was still a difficult task. But he knew she would prosper out there much like her brother has.
"And this will make it official," Watt-Senn spoke as he walked over with a small badge he clipped to the strap across Shar's uniform, "Cadet Rook Shar." he smiled at the ever curious girl who always bothered him to learn more about the Plumbers.
"Sheriff Wat-Senn, thank you for escorting our daughter." Rook Da thanked, it was just assuring to know she'd be safe on the journey.
"Oh don't mention it. Besides, I got some business on Earth. So it just all works out for everybody," Wat-Senn smirked.
"Father, where is Young One?" Shar questioned as she looked around, noticing her younger brother was…nowhere to be seen, "...He better not be off tinkering with his Harvester."
However, before anything else could be said, a part of the crowd began to part as an older Revonaghander stomped into the area, garbed in a red robe with one of the sleeves torn off…and a look of disdain on his face.
"Master Kundo," Rook Da noted before nodding his head to him, "You honor us."
"And you disgrace your people," he scowled, "Your offspring make a mockery of tradition! Sending one child off world was bad enough…now another?"
"Master…that is my deci-" Rook Shar began.
"IT IS NOT OUR WAY!" Kundo snapped, making her flinch as he looked to the crowd, "Tell them what happens when you destroy our way. Who devises machines, who disturbs the heavens!"
"I…" a young one spoke as he stepped forward, "I wish to be a Plumber as well. Like my Hero Rook Blonko." he stated proudly as many cheered for his honesty.
Kundo glared at them for this defiance towards his words and will. He then flinched as a loud horn went off and made everyone look towards the ship as its captain looked out of a sliding porthole.
"All aboard!" he called out.
"If your father will not protect the order of things…" Kundo frowned as he stepped closer, "You shall come with me, Rook Shar." he ordered.
"She will do no such thing." Rook Da declared before turning to his daughter, "Go…now…get on the ship."
"Father please," Shar spoke in concern, "You know who he is."
"Go!" Rook Da firmly ordered, walking off as he got in Kundo's way just as he began approaching his daughter.
"I do not wish to hurt you, Rook Da. I beg you to stand aside," Kundo stated.
Kundo simply moved to the side so as to walk around Da, in hopes the father would respect him and let him do so. But to the elder's disappointment, Da walked in pace with him to continue and block his path. Kundo scowled at this act of defiance and dishonor towards him. In a quick motion, Kundo swung his leg around to strike Da's at the ankle, as Da grunted and stumbled a bit, he was struck behind the head as Kundo swung his fist around in a backhanded strike. The Rook family patriarch fell face first to the ground as the Elder just glared at him.
"Your bones will heal." Kundo frowned as he walked on, leaving Rook Da to groan as true to the elders words, his ankle was bent in a rather unnatural way.
Rook Shar's eyes widened as her mother quickly rushed to Rook Da's side, Kundo turning to glare at her before she glared back at him before the elevator doors closed.
This act further enraged the elder as the ship began to take off, prompting him to quickly run off.
"Ngh….safe…journey…" Rook Da whispered as his wife helped him up
The ship slowly ascended into the sky to get into safe position for its explosive take off through the atmosphere. However this was a relatively slow process as far as Master Kundo was concerned. The Elder was already climbing up a silo of Amberogia and using it as a means to jump up and grab the landing gear. Which was a simple feat for the Revonnahgander Elder who leapt through the air onto the landing gear just as it retracted. Kundo frowned as he pulled out the spear he wielded as master of his peoples martial arts. He slowly aligned and clicked it together into its true spear/staff state from the disjointed flailing state. Kundo growled as he chose to enter a state of meditation to conserve his energy during the flight so as to grab Rook Shar upon their landing and return her home, where she belongs…where ALL their kind belongs.
A large open plain on Earth was the location of the Alien landing port for interstellar starships. Ironically it was kept hidden as a field for dairy cows. Currently in the very early hours of the morning. The sun having barely risen maybe half an hour ago, the group of Ben, Skurd, Rook and Tsubaki were in the middle of waiting for an early layover flight from the ship taking Rook's sister Shar to the Plumber Academy. For those wondering why such a small group, well the team got multiple emergency calls that forced many of them to split off for missions outside of Bellwood. The irony being the three Field leaders of their group were the ones stuck in town for logistical reasons.
"Ahh~ Rook…I know you're excited to see your sister…but three hours early!?" Ben complained.
"I'm sorry, since I finally had those Fistrick toxins flushed out I was just so excited to hear the news of Shar getting into the academy. Furthermore their stop will be brief, I really did not want to miss this chance." Rook smiled, "Also you are just cranky cause Makoto was forced to go with Noel and Lambda on a mission to Japan."
"I am not cranky." Ben huffed as he crossed his arms, "I just don't like how it feels with her not at my side…" he pouted.
"You'll see eachother once she's done with her mission," Tsubaki sighed.
"Oh please you don't get it, your boyfriend is Jin…" Ben complained.
"Pft…" Rook stifled a small laugh.
"...just look at your phone or something to distract yourself," Tsubaki sighed.
"You know he's gonna gaze at pictures of her," Skurd muttered.
"I'm putting you in the pickle jar." Ben frowned.
"Worth it." the slimebiote giggled.
Meanwhile back in the ship Rook Shar was on, the female Revonaghander had an excited look on her face as Watt-sen slept next to her. Shar could hardly contain her excitement as she was practically jumping and dancing in her seat. She had never left her home planet, let alone her home village. Now here she was, on her way to another world, much like her heroic older brother. Soon she would be a Plumber like him, she'd be a defender of people, a heroic keeper of peace. She would see countless planets, stars, and aliens. Part of her hoped to be stationed on Earth like her brother, the planet both famous and infamous for countless battles and dangers. Even Sheriff Wat-Senn has stated it's the single busiest and most difficult place for a Plumber to be assigned to.
"Ngh…ah…" Watt-Sen yawned, the movement from rook Shar's excitement stirring him awake.
"My apologies. I have great excitement for what lies ahead," she admitted.
"Gotta pace yerself. You're on a long trip that's just startin'," Watt-Sen stated..before raising his brow in amusement, "Metaphorically speakin'. We'll be arrivin' soon."
Rook Shar smiled at that, only to lightly jump when she heard a metallic thud go off, "?! did you hear that…it could be a stow-away."
"Ahh it's probably our luggage settlin'," Watt-sen shrugged, earning a blank stare from her, "...or it could be a stow-away. Go investigate it, cadet."
Shar quickly got up and moved to the source of the thud. Wat-Senn took his time to catch up, mostly to let her have this moment. The two found the source coming from an overhead luggage compartment near the very back of the ship which was mostly empty. Cautiously, Shar moved up to open the compartment…and something short and fuzzy fell out onto the floor. Revealing it to be Young One, who was missing from the send off…meaning her little brother snuck in and stowed away on the ship taking her to Earth and then Plumber Academy.
"Young One…" she frowned at her little brother, "You should not be here."
"Oh, I have been off world before," he waved off, "And on a ship faster than this."
"..." Shar kept up with the frown before the PA system went off.
=Uh, this is yer captain speaking. How are ya doin'? Prepare for landing=
Shar sighed, closing her eyes in exasperation, "Come along, brat."
"Boo-yeah!" Young One cheered, his bi'nthak wagging happily, "I believe that is the correct Earth expression."
The ship breached Earth's atmosphere before adjusting for a landing, a large section of the farm's field opening to reveal a hidden underground hangar. After a moment, the landing gear deployed and elevators connected to the ship to allow passengers to begin disembarking. For most this was their destination, this hangar leading directly into Bellwood Undertown. A few of the Sheriff department's Techadon robots slowly waved everyone down a path into town. One of the robots with hardhats gave a thumbs up to another that was seated in a shuttle bus which was filled with aliens. For many, it felt odd to see what were famously unstoppable war machines…doing mundane blue collar work. But it at least dissuaded any troublesome behavior or rule breaking as anyone who complained was given an uncomfortable long stare from the robots, which felt more awkward and uncomfortable due to their lack of faces.
"Techadon Robots…" Wat-Senn muttered, "Earth just gets weirder and weirder…" he muttered as the one in a hardhat gently motioned them along the path.
"They seem rather nice. Why would they be weird?" Shar asked.
"Well Cadet, these things are infamous as the most dangerous war machine in the known galaxy. So to see them act so friendly…kinda shatters expectations," Wat-Senn explained.
"Sister!" Rook called out as they walked towards them, "May I be the first to Wel-Young One?!" he gawked upon seeing his little brother, who should be home with his parents.
"Frown all you wish," Young One smiled, "I am back on Earth with the Famous Ben 10! The true one!"
"Oh, you watched the new show?" Ben chuckled.
"When you meet the real thing…the show does not compare," Young One smirked.
"Try telling that to your brother," Ben laughed.
"Hmm…no accounting for taste…" Young One shrugged.
"You have been teaching him…" Rook looked at Ben.
"May have introduced him to Jimmy through online forums," Ben admitted.
"I thought he had become…unnaturally clever…" Shar muttered.
"Hi, Shar. Nice badge," Ben smiled, "You look ready for the academy. Do me a favor…beat your brother's records for me." he joked, earning a smile from the sister and a small annoyed eye roll from the big brother.
"Ben," Tsubaki sighed, shaking her head before bowing to them, "Welcome to Earth on your way to the academy, Rook Shar. I am Tsubaki Yayoi."
"Tsubaki, eh?" Watt-sen asked in recognition, "The lil' firecracker Max's been tellin' me 'bout?"
"You know Magister Tennyson?" Tsubaki asked.
"Know him? Ha! We're ol' rivals from our academy days," Wat-Senn chuckled, "Currently tied at 25,165 wins and losses to one another. Count used ta be higher, but we agreed ta countin' just th' times we were on th' same planet."
"Well well, that wouldn't happen to be Rip Van Wat-Senn," Grandpa Max's voice spoke up as the elder Tennyson marched into the hangar.
The two Elder Plumbers marched up to one another as they glared at one another…before laughing as Max slung his arm around Wat-Senn.
"Max Tennyson, if'n yer cookin' ain't killed ya yet!" Wat-Senn beamed before looking at Shar, "Rook Shar, this here's the man I came t' see; Max Tennyson."
"Wow, Grandpa, I didn't know you had a Rival," Ben spoke, "From how everyone made it sound, it seemed like you were some golden student, man of adventure and action."
"Pfft…" Wat-Senn laughed at that.
"Oh like you were any better. Need I remind you of the time you snuck into the Headmaster's office…and were stuck in there all night under his desk~" Grandpa Max laughed.
"So me and Grandpa Max are that similar…" Ben muttered.
'Ohh…I'm feeling as if nonsense is going to trigger soon…and it won't be Ben who triggers it,' Tsubaki thought, noticing a competitive gleam in the two elder Plumbers' eyes.
"Tsubaki, you good on keeping an eye on Shar until their flight's ready?" Grandpa Max asked, "Got a bit of tie to spend with my old rival here."
"Of course, sir," Tsubaki replied as the duo left, 'And all my flags are waving in the color red!'
"Grandpa, don't get too crazy! Last time you had that look, you went Rambo First Blood on us," Ben sighed.
"He did what?" Tsubaki and Shar asked, looking at Ben with shock on the human's face and confusion on the Revonnaghander's.
"Yeah…Don't assume Grandpa Max is a normal man his age. He can still take down a small town if he wanted to…and kinda almost did. That was a weird Winter Break when I was fourteen…" Ben muttered.
"Given he has beaten me, Ragna, and Jin multiple times after a long training exercise…" Rook added, "He is still a Legendary Plumber afterall…the former Nemesis to Vilgax before Ben took over that role."
"And I predict my future children shall do the same," Ben declared…before sighing, "And no Babe to agree with that…"
Shar tilted her head as she looked at Rook, "?"
"He means Makoto," Rook quietly answered, "She is on assignment in Japan at the moment and he is not taking it well."
"I am too taking it perfectly well!" Ben argued.
"The boy lies," Skurd declared, "He just changed his phone's lock screen and background to pictures of Makoto."
"Makoto is his lover, life partner, and most precious person." Tsubaki explained further, "They don't spend much time apart. I imagine she's not taking it well either…"
"Mmmm~~~" Makoto whimpered as she aid in a fetal position, her eyes watering as she hugged her tail, "I miss my emerald hero…"
"I think they are totally codependent on one another…" Lambda muttered.
"She misses him more than Drei," Noel noted, said corgi was carried in a baby bjorn on her back.
"Arf!" Drei barked, panting happily as he looked at all the sights about. His pack was so nice to him for showing all sorts of neat places and-SQUIRREL! No wait, just a Tanuki, "..." he resumed panting happily.
"But Ben's mine. We have something more~" Makoto whined.
"I knew this was a bad idea…but no…Tsubaki never listens to me," Lambda complained, "I'm gonna prank her for this, cry-baby Makoto is not fun to deal with…"
"I'm not a crybaby! You're a crybaby!" Makoto exclaimed…before she got into a fetal position once more, "Ben…."
"Awoo…" Drei whimpered.
"So since you're just here for a short bit, why not relax? Do what we do when there's no work." Ben offered as they stopped at Mr. Smoothy's.
"It is most refreshing and easily packed with all the nutrients one needs in a cold refreshing beverage," Rook smiled, "Perfect to help one rest after a long day of training, fighting criminals and dealing with what is called general shenanigans and chicanery."
"The last one is the most stressful," Tsubaki sighed while turning to Shar, "Trust me, the technical work is often more trouble than dealing with supervillains or world conquering overlords."
"Ah…I see."
"Well I mean that part is easy. Just fight till they drop." Ben replied, "No, the fun part is when weird things happen. Like Rook a week ago."
"We do not speak of it," Rook turned to his friend and partner.
"What happened?" Young One asked, tilting his head.
"Nothing for you to be concerned about," Rook quickly spoke as he covered Ben's mouth.
"...mm…."
"...uh look! They are giving free samples!" Rook exclaimed before he rushed off, "I will be back with the drinks!"
"...If I may ask, is everything alright with Blanko?" Shar asked as she looked at Tsubaki.
"Trust me. You…you don't wanna know," Tsubaki sighed.
"He had an embarrassing moment where he didn't act like himself." Ben laughed, "And by moment…I mean like three days~"
"Three days?" Shar blinked, "Oh my…."
"When you get to the Academy, ask someone to teach you how to use the Externet, then just look up mine and Makoto's social media." Ben laughed.
"Ooh…veiwing material when…" Young One began.
"I am back!" Rook shouted as he quickly rushed back over, holding a tray of smoothies in his hands, "I have many choices for you both to choose from with the free samples they were giving out."
'And by free, he means he spent money to avoid a question,' Skurd thought as Young One took three of the smoothies and began to drink them down.
"Woah easy now. You might end up getting a…" Ben began before Young One tensed, "...A brain freeze."
"Common mistake, Young One." Rook smiled, "When it comes to cold food, patience is a virtue."
"That or build up a tolerance to it over many attempts." Ben smirked, "But ironically that also takes a while…so…your brother's right."
"But it is glorious…" Young One smirked.
"Glorious or not, it was unwise for you to leave Revonah," Shar frowned, "What would mother say? You have not even lost your bi'nthak."
"...Mmm," Young One pouted as he glared a bit at his tail, "...I was two years older than Blonko when he had his parting," he muttered before it smacked him upside the head, "OW!"
"Why get worked up? You Revonnahgander lose your tails eventually, right?" Ben asked.
"But to not have a name, at my age?! Unthinkable!" Young One complained, "They will be calling me 'Old One' soon…"
"Well if you want I can help you with trying to lose it?" Ben offered, only to flinch as Young One was in the middle of another sip and did a massive spit take of red smoothie, "Maybe next time don't get the Cherry Blitz flavor…it's like super red…" he muttered to Rook.
"Unthinkable!" Young One smiled.
"Well yeah, I mean I'm a human…technically there shouldn't be any rule I a human can't help just…move the process along." Ben offered. Both elder siblings moved to talk, but realized that Ben had literally found a loophole with how specific he was about that. That and they figured stopping these two would be near impossible.
"Trust me. He…" Tsubaki began as she picked up her smoothie, about to take a sip before stopping, "...May we help you, sir?"
"Uh…family friend?" Ben blinked, turning to see Kundo walking towards them, Young One tensing and jumping behind Ben.
"That is the master of Revonnah Kai…" Young One spoke, "Our traditional fighting style,"
"Master Kundo!?" Rook gasped, seeing the master who trained him to fight. He got up and bowed to him out of respect, but his master just looked around with a scowl.
"I am ashamed to greet you, Rook Blonko," Kundo stated, "This…" he motioned around himself, "Is nothing but a technological miasma!"
"No…this is a cherry smoothie." Ben held up his cup.
"Ben," Tsubaki quietly hissed.
"Oh no…he's like one of those types of Amish people…" Skurd muttered, "So lost in ways and scared of advancement he makes it everyone else's problem."
"That…is shockingly accurate." Shar spoke, "...but still, the master does not approve of my leaving…I believe he intends to bring me home."
"Grr," Kundo scowled before he noticed Young One, "Another one? Does the shame of your family have no end? Both of you must return with me."
"You're not gonna listen to him are you?" Ben asked as he moved in front of Shar and Young One.
Kundo sneered at Ben as he twisted his spear/staff into its segmented formation.
"He is a respected Elder." Rook spoke up, with a conflicted look in his eyes, one of loyalty to his family and respect to his master of Revonnah Kai, "But…" he began, only for Kundo to strike him and knock him down to the ground. The force still sent Rook sliding along the ground and into a table.
"I…am unaccustomed to repeating myself…" Kundo frowned.
"Well maybe you should learn some manners," Ben scowled at what he did to his friend, "Here on Earth that's not how things work. If your not open to words, then we can do this with action."
"Ben wait," Tsubaki spoke, "We can't escalate this,"
"He hit my best friend, things escalated." Ben replied, "And all I know is, Shar is heading to school, and Young One can escort the Master back home, with some shiny cuffs."
"You dare to speak to me with such disrespect." Kundo frowned, "You Plumbers do nothing but bring the poison of disrespect to worlds."
"I disrespect," Ben shrugged, "On Earth, respect is earned." he smiled before jumping back from a swing that knocked his smoothie out of his hand, "Alright, we do this the stupid way." He held up the Omnitrix before tapping it and morphing into Water Hazard.
Kundo smirked, seemingly excited for the prospect of fighting another life form. He twirled his weapon around and used it to disperse the water blasted at him, he spun the spear end around faster before twisting his body around and guiding the water stream around and deflecting it back at Water Hazard. However much to his annoyance, the attack barely had any effect on him as water just dripped off his form.
"Neat trick, but unfortunately launching water back at me? Kinda pointless." Water Hazard smirked before he rushed and began punching at Kundo making the elder weave and avoid each swing, "No wonder Rook can kick so much butt if these are the kind of lessons you beat into him."
"Oh I was afraid of this…" Tsubaki groaned as she shook her head, about to speak up before Kundo smacked Water Hazard in the face with the blunt end of his weapon before using the spear to send him flying back, causing him to skid on the ground as he lost his transformation.
"Gh…okay…and you h-" Ben began before Kundo put a foot on his chest, raising his spear up high, "?!"
*CLANG!*
"?!" Kundo tensed before a scowl appeared on his face, looking to the side to see Rook blocking his weapon with his Proto-Tool…only for it to crumble into pieces.
'The Proto-Tool broke?' Tsubaki thought before glancing at Rook's eyes and tensed on how, despite their seemingly normal state, there was a waver in them, 'So that's why…'
"Rook Blonko, you are fortunate that I only wish to return your siblings to Revonah," Kundo frowned, "You have become reliant on these…machines so much, you have gotten weak."
"...Ben, I think we need to leave," Tsubaki spoke up with a frown as she defensively stood before Rook Shar and Young One.
"But…"
"It's clear he intends to harm anyone that gets in the way of his goal…even if it means harming his own kind."
Ben narrowed his eyes, "Ugh fine…Shar, grab Young One. Gonna be a little…gassy…here."
"What does…?"
"Don't ask!" Tsubaki snapped in realization.
"G-Gassy?" Kundo blinked before another flash replaced Ben with Gutrot, "And what do…" he stopped when Gutrot leaned forward and expelled a thick cloud of gas that filled the area, "Oh! Oh! What is this odor!?"
"Sulfur mixed with Methane!" Gutrot explained as he carried Shar and Young One away, "Word to the wise, Dumb-Dumb…don't strike a spark or you'll go kaboom!"
"Did you have to make it smell!?" Tsubaki snapped.
"Oh, I'm sorry…would you have preferred something less smelly like Dichlorodiethyl Sulfide?" Gutrot groaned.
"...ugh. Nevermind," Tsubaki sighed before looking at Rook, who still had the shocked expression on his face as he looked at his broken Proto-Tool, "...Rook, we need to go."
"...of…of course," he nodded slowly, picking up the broken pieces as he and the others quickly rushed out of there.
"Gh…blasted…stench!" Kundo snapped as he spun his weapon around in its segmented state, dispersing the cloud as it spread out…and revealed no sign of his former student and the others, "Trickery and deception…I trained you better then this Rook Blonko." he frowned as he began running before leaping and scaling a building to get a better view, he then saw the group as they made their way down an alley, "Hmph."
"This will not last long. Not only is he a master of Revonnah Kai, Kundo is an expert tracker as well," Rook explained.
"So…he's like you, but older and better at kicking butt?" Ben sighed.
"Essentially…" Rook sighed.
"...Then we need to make sure he can't follow us," Tsubaki whispered as she pulled her badge out, "Hibiki, it's Tsubaki. I need you to open a Ground Bridge to our current location Asap."
=Understood, Yayoi-san=
"A Ground Bridge? Like the ones Cybertronians use?!" Young One asked excitedly.
"Yes!" Ben replied, "Wait, Hibiki, open it up a few meters ahead of us at the opening of this alley that leads to main street!" he ordered, "It might buy us a little extra time!"
=Understood, Tennyson-san= Hibiki complied.
"Please hurry!" Skurd shouted as Kundo smashed a dumpster out of the way, "Our hunter is starting to pick up the pace!"
"Blonko, stop this needless defiance and give me your siblings!"
"Belay that order, Officer Rook Blonko," Tsubaki ordered before whispering to Ben, "What are you planning?!"
"This guy has a real issue with tech," Ben explained softly, "What we're gonna do is leave him overwhelmed."
"What?"
"I think he has something like Misophonia," Ben explained, "He's used to the calm peaceful noises of Revonnah. Earth sounds or just tech sounds and noise pollution might be too much for him."
"I…that's…" Tsubaki muttered, "...Where did this Ben come from!?" she snapped.
"Shut up and run!" Ben ordered with a slight panic, "Skurd, get ready for a smokescreen when the Groundbridge opens!"
Up ahead, the Groundbridge formed. Skurd quickly made a Heatblast arm come out, nearly causing Ben to trip from the sudden shift in weight on one side of his body, before letting loose a fireball at Kundo. The master swung his staff, striking the fireball and causing it to go off in a burst of flames. He swung his free hand out, dispersing the flames as he jumped through the…only to end up outside the alley with no sign of them. His eyes widened, seeing no sign of them, before flinching as a phone ringing went off. He spun to see a group of people walking by, talking and playing apps on their phones or handheld devices. He stumbled away, only to end up in the middle of traffic. He swiftly moved to the other side, avoiding a truck that blared its horn at him, before his eyes widened as he nearly bumped into a teen playing loud rock music from his headphones that even Kundo could hear. He moved away from the teen only to see himself? He spun and saw several screens showing him on them with a camera connected to them all facing him. An anger began to rise up within him as it was clear now…this world of machines had corrupted his student…made him defy his teachings. Whether he liked it or not…he was now going to force Rook Blonko to return as well to Revonnah and purge him of any toxic thoughts he had and make him return to their world's ways…away from this ghastly world.
"...I see," Hibiki noted once he was caught up to speed about what was happening, "This is…most concerning."
"I'll say. Rook's crazy kook of a master is trying to kidnap his sibs just to take them home," Kagura muttered…before looking at Blukic and Driba as they tried to repair the Proto-Tool, "...and us without Kajun or Max…"
"Hope their mission in Italy is going well and can be done sooner than later," Ben noted as Tsubaki walked over to Rook.
"Rook…Do you need to speak with Alf at the moment?" Tsubaki asked.
"Alf? Why would I require speaking with him?" Rook asked.
"For what just happened," Tsubaki replied, gesturing to the Proto-Tool's remains, "Normally, you reinforce your Proto-Tool so that doesn't happen. You haven't had it break in months since you started learning Busoshoku Haki from those scrolls you won off Jabra."
"...It is….more complicated than you think…" Rook admitted with a sighh.
"What is that?" Shar asked.
"A technique your brother learned on a mission along with several other techniques," Tsubaki explained.
"He learned an entire style of combat from a world…that up 'till then was fictional!" Ben laughed, "And Noel has a pet sword from that world as well."
"...A pet sword?" Young One repeated, tilting his head.
"It turns into an elephant that loves fruit," Ben replied.
"That is amazing!" Young One awed.
"Yep. Though…Tsubaki is right, Rook. It's like you forgot it all when you were facing that guy," Ben noted, "Do we need to get Alf?"
"Unfortunately, he's not here at the moment," Hibiki informed, "He's tending to the survivor of the assault on UnderTokyo's base for her weekly session in UnderTokyo."
"He better not forget the sushi this time," Kagura grumbled, earning a dope slap from Hibiki, "Right, right. Mind if I take a guess? He forgot because he was fighting his former master, the one who taught him everything he knew before he left for the Plumbers."
"That…is painfully accurate," Rook sighed.
"...wait. Does this also have to do with why you can't master the Rokuogan?" Ben asked, earning silence from his partner, "...oh it is…"
"...In a way, it…reminds me of my master's ultimate technique, the Stone Cutter."
"Stone Cutter?" Ben repeated.
"The strongest technique in Revonna-Kai," Hibiki explained, "It is a technique dating back several centuries to the founder of the art who used it to destroy an oncoming landslide for the nomads that would eventually found the Rook family's hometown on the planet with one strike."
"He is quite informed," Shar admitted, looking at Hibiki with wide eyes of surprise.
"He's being considered for promotion by the head of the intelligence division of the Earth bases," Kagura grinned.
"Yes, but…after what happened earlier…and seeing my master for the first time in years, it feels like…what I have learned is disrespecting my heritage…" Rook admitted, "I could have countered his strike easily, but…deep down I felt like I…was dishonoring my people if I tried to attempt to use Busoushoku Haki…or even one of the Rokushiki moves. And what he said earlier to me…further proves it…"
"...Dude, that's not fair," Ben spoke as he put a hand on his shoulder, "You shouldn't forgo everything you learned just because of what he says."
"But…"
"Nope," Ben cut him off.
"But…"
"Nuh uh," Ben shook his head, "Dude, you've done a lot of good since coming to Earth. You've faced so many threats…even traveled the multiverse with us for crying out loud."
"You traveled to other universes?!" Young One gasped as he looked at his big brother, "That is most awesome!"
"Well, yes, it was most interesting and eye opening to see how the worlds differ drastically." Rook replied.
"Exactly my point," Ben grinned, "You even learned a fighting style that's from a different universe…even incorporated it into how you fight. In a way…you came up with your own fighting style."
"Indeed," Skurd added, "And if your master thinks that makes you weak…if he thinks you're disrespecting your people because of that? Then scoff…scoff to him, I say!"
"Dude, your family and people are proud of you," Ben added, "One guy stuck in the old ways shouldn't mean that much. Your dad is proud of you, Shar is following your lead, and she might not be the last." he looked over at Shar, "Right, Shar?"
"I have heard of some other Young Ones speaking of how they wanted to follow your lead, Blonko," Shar noted, "And father is indeed proud of you and…" she trailed off.
"...Shar? Is…father alright?" Rook asked.
Shar grimaced, "Father stood between the shuttle and Master Kundo. They traded blows and father was struck down…"
"..."
"Wait, your dad's…?" Ben began.
"No. He lives, but the last I saw…he will be bed ridden for a few months to let his leg recover," Shar assured before frowning, "Allowing Master Kundo to remain out there is dangerous. I need to…"
"You're staying here," Rook ordered.
"?!" everyone looked at the oldest male Revonnaghander there.
"Dude…Did you just use a contraction?" Ben asked.
"I did," Rook replied with a frown, "Master…no…Kundo has crossed a very strict line with me."
"Think you can repair the Proto-Tool?" Tsubaki asked.
"Not if I intend to stop him sooner rather than later," Rook replied, "But do not forget, Tsubaki…" Shar and Young One gawked as Rook removed his pitch-black finger from the table beside them, the hole in it looking as if a bullet had pierced it, "...the techniques I have been learning make me the weapon."
"...I do not think you will win arguments anymore, Shar," Young One stage-whispered.
"Let's saddle up then, partner," Ben spoke.
"I would prefer if you stay here to help keep Shar from following," Rook advised.
"I would…" Shar began to argue.
"The week before I left for the Plumbers Academy and the knocked over silo," Rook stated, making her flinch.
"That was you?!" Young One gawked at Shar.
"...uh…w-well…"
"Well, she'll get along with the Plumbers just fine," Ben chuckled before nodding, "Alright, Rook. May as well give her a glimpse at the other stuff Plumbers do outside of our team. It'll keep her in the base and I can help your little brother with his issue."
"Hm? Issue?" Kagura asked.
"Ben is helping me get rid of my bi'nthak," Young One explained, pointing at his tail.
"...Let me guess, a sort of 'coming of age' thing?" Kagura guessed.
"It is an important part of Revonna's culture; until he loses it, he cannot receive a name for himself," Hibiki explained.
"...Huh? Wait, what?!" Kagura gawked.
"Why do you think we keep calling him 'Young One,' dude?" Ben asked.
"I thought it was just a teasing nickname," Kagura admitted.
"Well kind of," Rook muttered.
"Like Hibiki said, Revonnahganders pick their own names…but only after they lose the tail," Ben added, "It's kinda neat, but the problem is…Young One's is stubborn and hasn't dropped. And he's two years older than when Rook lost his. So…he's kind of a late bloomer."
"So the little dude can't have a name 'till he ditches the tail," Kagura nodded, "This sounds way more interesting then literally half the nonsense I've been helping your Grandpa with."
"Dude, tell me about it," Ben sighed, "So does it need to just pop off…or are…sharp things allowed?" he asked Young One.
"Get the sharp things," he replied simply with a nod.
"...no," Hibiki spoke up.
"But…" Kagura began.
"I'm not getting your sword."
"But the kid said 'sharp things'."
"We're trying to help…not traumatize him."
"Let's call that Plan Z," Ben offered, "Let's try the rope on a door trick like with teeth."
"Ooh~ How archaic," Young One smirked.
"Good luck, Rook," Tsubaki whispered, earning a nod from Rook before he left, leaving her to spin around and grab Shar before she could follow, "Cadet Rook Shar, you are to remain in the base until further notice. As such, you will be accompanying me on a tour of the important sectors where you will likely be assigned to at another base upon graduation." she gave her a sharp rook, "Is that understood, Cadet?"
Shar gulped, "Y-Yes, ma'am."
"Good," Tsubaki smiled before motioning her to follow, "Right this way please, cadet."
"Don't worry, Shar. Tsubaki is only being strict to be a good leader. And sometimes a good leader has to be strict," Ben assured as Young One climbed onto his back, "But she's also looking out for you in her own way. One day, you might be in charge of someone, so learn something."
"Blonko, Ben 10, and everyone is helping you. Try and relax," Young One smirked.
"See? Little guy gets it," Ben smirked, "Trust me, your brother is far stronger now. Don't worry about him too much."
"...Of…Of course," she nodded as she began to follow Tsubaki out of the room, 'I just hope it is enough to handle Kundo.'
"Aww…" Makoto grumbled.
"You agree this stinks?" Lambda asked.
"Hah…yes La-Chan this is a damper on the trip to UnderTokyo…" Noel sighed, "I didn't think it would be so hard on Makoto. But I guess I also didn't account the amount she has come to depend on Ben to be there for her emotionally. You forget how good he is at that with how silly he acts."
"I feel he's up to shenanigans…and with someone else's tail! Is he that lonely and missing my fluffy one?"
"Maybe we need to help her adapt to not having Ben around." Lambda offered, "I mean they can't go everywhere together, all the time, for the rest of time…"
"I feel like that won't be easy after today." Noel sighed.
"...Ben's gonna need the jaws of life later…" Lambda replied.
"Arf?" Drei barked.
"No Drei that is not a game you can play with Ben later…" Noel shook her head..
"Can I have my ph…" Makoto began to ask.
"NO!" Both sisters barked.
"Mmm…" Makoto pouted.
"Hah!" Rath roared karate chopping Young One's Bi'nthak, the table under him buckling as both of them fell to the ground, "Seriously?" Rath groaned as Young One fell on his head, "How is that thing so strong…it's stronger than your brother…"
"I think it is cursed…" Young One groaned.
"That's it! Rath is getting the battleax from the trophy room!" Rath growled and got up.
"We have a what and no one told me why?!" Kagura asked.
A Green flash left Ben in Rath's place, "Dude what do you think I do with all the stuff from villains I beat up? What let it go into that dusty storage room for evidence? Nah, I got a whole trophy room filled with stuff." he laughed walking up to a tall and tapping a section of wall revealing a secret door, "It's supposed to be a room for Grandpa Max, but he kinda turned his office into a small apartment. So we turned this secret room into the Tennyson Trophy Room." he explained as a door opened to reveal a modest, if not significantly larger room then those given to normal Plumbers with the walls covered in weapons, armor, and inventions, "We got Vilgax's conqueror of worlds armor and weapons," he motioned to a gauntlet with a yellow crystal, glove with a ruby, laser blaster, and giant sword, "I had to dive through the ocean for hours to find all that stuff."
"The Vilgax's own armor!?" Young One gasped in awe.
"No big deal," Ben looked around before returning with a large battleax, "We tried pulling, yanking and general blunt force tactics…we must resort to sharp objects now."
"...I freaking love this place," Kagura grinned.
"Just in case this fails, bring the magical obsidian sword me and Grandpa found in another cursed Incan pyramid." Ben ordered, "Had to fight another god guardian for that one."
"Understood," Hibiki nodded…before sighing, "And I'll get your sword as well, Kagura-dono."
"Yes!"
"Hmph…resorting to violence," Driba scoffed as he and Blukic were still trying to get the Proto-Tool back together.
"Always takin' that route," Blukic added.
"Oh please. Like you two are any better?" Skurd scoffed.
"We are not a couple of goons!" Driba complained.
"Blukic said you would say that."
"No he didn't!"
"Yes I did."
"No you didn't!"
"Yes I did!"
With that the two began slapping each other.
"See this is why we put Kajun in charge." Kagura muttered.
"We've had way less dangerous accidents…" Ben muttered.
"..." Young One peeked at the table before he pushed a few pieces together in the proper order before pushing a casing around them making the badge which resembled the Omnitrix light up. He jogged over to join Ben as the two Galvans gasped and noticed the now mostly reconstructed section.
"See…we did it!" Driba cheered
"No we didn't…" Blukic smirked as if just to annoy him.
"Yes…we did."
"N-" Blukic began before Skurd smacked him and Driba, "Ow!"
"No…none of that…shame on you…" Skurd scolded as Ben turned into Trizerk.
"Alright. Perfect size and muscles for it," the Triceraton smirked, cracking his knuckles. He took a moment to rub his hands before picking up the ax, "Alright Young One, lean forward so I don't knick your ears!" he hefted the ax up.
"And that is the basics of…BENJAMIN KIRBY TENNYSON!" Tsubaki snapped, walking in on the scene as Trizerk flinched and spun around, losing his grip on the battleax as it flew over everyone's head and embedded in the wall next to Tsubaki and Shar.
"Aw man…that's totally gonna mess with the edge alignment…" Trizerk snorted.
"What are you doing!?" Tsubaki demanded.
"Getting rid of the kids tail." Trizerk replied simply, "We did everything but use sharp things…so now…We're using sharp things!"
"Wh-?! That…you…!" Tsubaki seethed, "Your supposed to be helping, not mentally scarring him!"
"I find it amazing!" Young One smiled.
"See he loves it!" Trizerk replied.
"So this is what it feels to have an idiot brother…?" Tsubaki took a sharp deep breath.
"Love you too sis~" the hulking Triceraton snorted in laughter.
"..."
*THWACK!*
"OW!"
Meanwhile with Rook, he was busy walking through the streets of Undertown, asking for any possible sightings of his master, and so far…nobody has seen nor heard anything about him, which concerned the Rveonnahgander. He knew how powerful his former master was…and knew how dangerous he could be if left on Earth for too long.
The cruel irony was as Rook searched for Kundo, the master of Revonnah Kai was perched atop a building and watching Rook. The Elder scowled at the tactics Rook used, relying on such slow and weak tracking skills. He'd been trailing his former student from the moment he entered Undertown. Not even a single glimpse or twitch of realization. It was sad his once prized pupil had dulled his senses so drastically in his time on this technological wasteland. It was time to return the Revonnahganders where they belonged. The Master growled as he jumped off the building and arced down, aiming at Rook who's back was turned to him.
"It wasn't that bad…" Ben, Kagura and Young One all complained.
"You are a bad influence on this child." Tsubaki groaned.
"Wha…one contraction, it's not like he's doing something stupid like chasing after Rook to fight his Evil Mr. Miyagi." Ben stated, while motioning with his eyes.
"Wha…Oh for the love of…" Tsubaki noticed Shar was gone, before turning to the monitors as one screen showed Rook and Kundo viciously trading blows in the empty Back Streets of Undertown.
"You clearly do not know my Sister and her inability to stay out of her siblings' lives…" Young One replied.
"I like this kid, he's sassy." Kagura chuckled.
"Hmm…" Ben crossed his arms as he stared at the fight as Rook used the same style, the same moves, the same stances and reflexes as Kundo. It was practically a mirror match. But Kundo had the advantage, his weapon gave him better range, better control of distance, and superior striking force with its segmented staff form, "He's not gonna win this way." he frowned.
"Yeah…that old guy uses the same moves, hell I bet he invented those moves." Kagura sighed, "Just look at him, he's playing Rook like a dang fiddle."
"Blonko was Kundo's prized pupil, but even still he never landed a good blow on him…" Young One stated.
"...And his goal is bringing all three of you back," Tsubaki noted, frowning before pushing a button on the console, "All available Plumbers in Bellwood, you are to inform every and all intergalactic vessels that they are to shut down all systems immediately and engage lockdown procedures. Inform them all that if they attempt to leave until an all clear has been given, they and their crew will be arrested for aiding and abetting a newly wanted criminal for assault on a Plumber agent, assault on a Plumber Cadet, attempted child abduction, and kidnapping a Plumber and Plumber Cadet…and that we will send Ben after them and their vessel…as Way Big."
"And you're using Way Big because…?"
"Your accuracy with the cosmic beam," Tsubaki replied, "That, and many intergalactic vessels worry about running into a To'kustar in space. Often it leads to a damaged ship or worse depending on their mood."
"That makes sense," Ben replied.
"And I am sorry for using you as a threat," Tsubaki apologized, "This is a drastic time, so a drastic measure was needed."
"Eh, no worries. But now we gotta save both siblings," Ben sighed, "To make our lives easier, I'm gonna just blast Kundo…"
"At this point, he's crazy and deranged," Kagura shrugged.
"I have no strong feelings of respect," Young One replied as he clicked the Proto-Tool back together into one piece, "He always made my Bi'nthak feel like it was popping off…and not in the good way."
"Huh, so tail danger sense is a thing to tons of folks…" Ben muttered, "Anyway, let's go find your siblings. Before something stupid happens…which…always happens…" he sighed to Young One.
"At least you are honest about it unlike my family," Young One replied.
"Alright, to the bike!" Ben ordered, running off with Young One.
"Ben, give that child a helmet!" Tsubaki ordered.
"Yes, ma'am!"
"I'll make sure he does!" Skurd assured, "Even if I need to be the one putting it on him!"
Tsubaki brought a hand to her face as she sighed in exasperation, "Hibiki…" a hot chocolate was presented to her by Hibiki, "Thank you."
"Guess something needs to give," Kagura noted, focusing his attention on the fight on the monitor, "But what will it be?"
Rook grunted as he skidded back before falling to a knee.
"I taught you better than that," Kundo scolded before swinging his staff at him only for Rook to flip over the elder and land away from him.
"Yes. Father was proud of how far I came on learning Revonnah-Kai," Rook noted.
"And yet…" Kundo began, thrusting the blunt end of his staff at Rook, prompting him to dodge before the elder Revonnahgander struck him, "This technological wasteland has made you weak."
Rook wiped a bit of spittle from his lip, "On Revonnah, there are machines. Frankly, your traditions seem somewhat arbitrary as if you cannot comprehend how time moves forward and traditions will, at times, need to change to handle what comes next."
"?!" Kundo's eyes widened in anger at that, giving a rising roar as he charged at Rook, only to step back from a flying kick from Shar.
"Shar?!"
"I apologize, but you were having trouble against him," she stated as she got into a defensive stance.
"...Fine…then you leave me with no choice…" Kundo scowled as he reeled his arm back, "Stone Cutter!"
"NO!" Rook exclaimed, quickly getting in front of his sister just as Kundo thrusted his hand out, the resulting strike creating a shockwave that shattered his chest armor as he was sent flying back.
"Blonko!" Shar gasped as she quickly rushed over to him.
"...ngh…that…stung…" Rook grunted, making Kundo's eyes widen a bit as he stood back up.
"...How…?" he began before he noticed Rook's exposed chest was coated in black for a moment, "...What was that?"
"Something…I had learned…" Rook panted as he held his chest.
"?! You used something that was not Revonah Kai?!" Kundo growled as his eyes narrowed, "Your ancestors would be ashamed of you and your family, Rook Blonko."
"I disagree," Rook spoke, "I learned many new forms of combat, because even with my skills in Revonah Kai, I was still lacking. My best friend helped me see that the world is wide and vast, with there never being a limit to the strength of enemies I will face."
"This is what Ben 10 meant?" Shar realized.
"I was a fool for forgetting the level of a warrior I have become," Rook got back into a fighting stance, "I have powerful friends and I stand by them facing evils from Incurseans to To'Kustars, to Tetramands and even Celestialsapiens. And that is from just our universe. I have witnessed and experienced much since I have left Revonnah." he narrowed his eyes…before closing them, "So allow me to show you…the evolution to Revonnah-Kai."
"Evolution? Heresy!" Kundo declared.
"Right jab," Rook stated, moving to the left, "Sweep from the right into a strike with the butt of your staff aimed for the center of my gut." Kundo swiped from the right only for Rook to use Geppou to shoot over him and land behind Kundo, "Back of your fist aimed at the center of the back of mine." he swung up the back of his fist, parrying the back of Kundo's fist.
"What…What is this?" Kundo couldn't help but ask.
"In many worlds, there exist countless methods of combat. On Earth alone, I have observed over a hundred styles, each just as amazing as Revonnah-Kai. And from another world entirely, I learned an art to go beyond the limits of my body and Revonnah-Kai," Rook explained, he swung his hand to deflect another swing of Kundo's staff before swinging his other arm up and using the point of his elbow to block a punch, making Kundo grunt in pain as his hand trembled from striking the strong bone point of the elbow, "As I've learned on Earth alone, there are more points of the body that can hit as hard as any fist, and counter with greater force."
"A-Are you…teaching me? Your Master?!" Kundo growled.
"It is the duty of the strong to pass their knowledge onto others," Rook replied, "When Shar finishes her studies, I intend to show her all I have learned. But this is opportune for her to witness a demonstration of what she can reach…and may even one day surpass herself." he rolled around a strike of the staff, his back facing Kundo's once more, "To quote an Earth saying: there is always a bigger fish."
"A fish? What does that…?" Kundo began in frustration before barely blocking a Rankyaku from Rook with his staff, forcing him back several yards, "?!"
"What it means is that there will always be one who is stronger…who is quicker…who is smarter…anything you excel upon, there will always be someone higher," Rook explained, "Sticking to what you have learned is the mistake of a novice. If you cannot overcome your limits, if you cannot change the way you fight, you will always be at a level lower than who rises above. Kami-e…" Kundo released a barrage of strikes with his staff, only for Rook to move between the strikes as if he were a piece of paper flowing in the wind until his pointer finger turned pitch black, "Shigan!" he struck with his finger, striking the staff on its tip and causing cracks to start forming on the blade.
"?! Im…Impossible!" Kundo gasped, taking a step back, "What…What sorcery is that darkness that coats you?!"
"It goes by many names. 'Presence,' 'fighting spirit,' and even 'intimidation' are names it can be referred to," Rook replied, "What I have come to know it by is the name warriors who traverse the seas know it as: Haki. The techniques I have been using are the art known as the Rokushiki. Geppou to allow one to 'hop' on air itself, Kami-E to avoid, Tekkai to reinforce in conjunction with Busoushoku Haki, Soru to move swifter than one can see, Rankyaku to strike with a blade from the force of a kick, and Shigan to turn my fingers into bullets." he smiled, "I must thank you, Master Kundo. Being struck with the Stone Cutter…was what I needed to understand."
"Understand what?"
"The basis begins with Tekkai, reinforcing the body and combining with Kami-E to withstand the recoil. Soru teaches swiftness, speed, so that one may act decisively with one strike," Rook explained as he brought his fists up, "Geppou and Rankyaku work in tandem in their teaching, how one affects the air around them and how it can be weaponized. And Shigan brings all six together…" he narrowed his eyes, "Turning one's very body into the ultimate weapon of six 'kings,' utilizing every muscle, every piece of one's being into a single strike." the air seemed to stir around Rook as his skin and even suit shimmered as they turned pitch black, "Which prevails? The strike that renders stone…or the will of the six kings in one strike?"
"...grr…" Kundo growled at this act of defiance. The fact his former student was talking down to him…the fact he was making a fool out of him, "...You have become a lost cause, Rook Blonko…meaning I will not hesitate in this strike…" he reeled his arm back as he got into a stance, "I did not want to do this…but your father…your family will realize their place once I have made an example of you."
Rook closed his eyes, a sense of calm going through him, 'Six Kings created the Six Techniques…Tekkai…Kami-E…Soru…Geppou…Rankyaku…Shigan…Coated in The Will of the Dragon King…'
"Stone…"
"Rokushiki Ougi…"
"CU…" Kundo began before Rook vanished…before his face was inchest before Kundo's, the older Revonna feeling the knuckles of the younger's fists pressed against his chest, "?!"
"Rokuōgan," Rook whispered, slowly opening his eyes to show the sheer determination within.
Almost suddenly like the explosion of a cannon, a powerful reverberating sound filled the air as the air began vibrating in a singular beam-like path from a point of Kundo's back. The Elder's robe tearing apart at that same point as the beam of displaced air continued on to slam into a building. That very building shook before collapsing into dust and pebbles from the sheer energy of this shockwave blast. Kundo himself was standing, but there was no consciousness controlling his body. His eyes rolled back as the faintest trickle of blood fell from his lips, but his body was just standing from muscle memory alone, not even a gentle breeze and his body collapsed over in a heap as the point of impact in his chest was damaged by the force of the attack. Rook, however, was standing, but not perfect; his arms were trembling as his armor gauntlets cracked a little.
"I…can see why this move was only used in that large muscular form…the kickback is…intense even when prepared…" Rook muttered.
"Y…You defeated him…" Shar whispered, her eyes wide in shock.
"I believe…I did," Rook flinched as his arms slumped down, "But I think I will as Ben says: Have Noodle arms for the rest of the day."
"What was…" said brunette's voice began as he quickly rushed into the area, only to skid to a halt as he saw Kundo's condition, "!? ...Dude, did…did you…"
"I have…but…" Rook paused as he looked down at his arms, "I still...have ways to go in mastering this technique…"
"Noodle Arms?" Ben asked.
"Yes…" Rook awkwardly chuckled, "Shar, could you please help me? I am gonna need some help to get back to base."
"Unthinkable! You defeated the Grand Master of Revonnah-Kai! Blonko…this makes you the new Master!" Young One awed from Ben's back.
"It works like that?" Ben asked.
"I think it should," Young One admitted.
"So do I, little dude," Ben smirked..
"Is he…like…?" Ben motioned to the unmoving Kundo as they dragged him towards the Sheriff's Station to drop him in a holding cell. Well…Ben was doing the dragging since Rook's arms were numb and uncooperative at the moment.
"He will be unconscious for a while," Rook responded.
"Alright, but if he twitches funny, I'm whapping him 'till he stops," Ben sighed.
"Echidna, Tetramand, Goron, and Triceraton DNA are on standby to assist with the whapping," Skurd added.
"After today, that is more than fair," Rook smirked.
"So what's the plan? Have Wat-Senn and Young One escort him back so he can…what? Be put in a jail in your hometown?" Ben asked as he kept dragging Kundo, purposely walking over rocks so they would poke and bump him.
"At first, yes, but…" Rook paused as he looked at the unconscious Kundo, "He is too dangerous to be left roaming Revonnah. Even if he is locked up, he will just do the same thing again…and given his actions today, it would be best for the Plumbers to take care of him…"
"He did break a good few laws with what he did," Ben agreed, "I'm sure we can have him be sent to a Low Tech style prison meant for criminals with technopathic abilities. You know…so he doesn't go even more crazy."
"Last thing we need is the insanity of tech proximity making him go full on Joker level insane…and said insanity somehow giving him a power up…" Skurd muttered.
"The scary thing is I believe that…" Rook muttered, "But thank you for the consideration, Ben."
"Eh…for once, I didn't get to hit stuff and fix the problem. Might as well give something helpful," Ben shrugged, "Sides, I get the feeling I'm gonna be the one helping you train with that new trick. Figure I should earn some good karma points before it starts."
"Well I do need to further train and master it. Otherwise I can't teach it to anyone," Rook paused to look at his Sister, "You will need to master the other six first…after you pass your classes in the academy."
"Oh fine," Shar rolled her eyes.
"Again Shar, do me a solid and break your brother's school records! I'm counting on you!" Ben laughed, earning a slightly annoyed frown from Rook Blonko and a laugh from both his siblings.
"Believe me, I intend to break them," Shar smiled at her Brother, earning a smirk from him.
"Well I welcome you to try, but I will have you know my scores will be hard to beat," Rook replied.
"Oh come on, like it's hard. I got like a 95 and I barely paid attention!" Ben laughed.
"You are not one to talk, Ben." Rook chuckled, "You are much smarter and wiser than you let people think. You getting that score is actually proof of how well you let people assume you are unintelligent."
"Yeah…Honestly, I tried failing on purpose on this one true/false quiz in high school…my teacher saw right through it and gave me a perfect score because only someone who knew all the answers could get a perfect 0 on it."
"I'd say it's amazing how far you go to play the fool…but then again, I don't think all of it is an act…" Skurd muttered.
"At least with this, we can focus on getting Shar to the academy. And just to be safe, how about we get her a private escort?" Ben offered.
"You would do that?" Shar asked.
"Of course he would; he is Ben 10 after all, sister!" Young One beamed…before a popping noise made the three Revonnah-born natives look to see his Bi'nthak on the ground.
"Your bi'nthak…" Rook blinked a few times in surprise.
"It…It fell off…on a different planet!" Shar gasped, "That has never happened."
"Hey look at that, little dude…" Ben mused, "You're a First of your kind!"
"It is off! Today, I am a Revonnahgander!" Young One cheered, "Boo-Yeah!"
"Let's celebrate back at base," Ben offered as he waved his hand to Ragna who was walking towards them, "Hey Sheriff, mind keeping an eye on this crazy space kungfu master?"
"Eh…not the weirdest thing you dropped off for me," Ragna laughed, "We'll put him somewhere nice and cozy." he then noticed the discarded tail, "I…know what? I don't wanna know. It's probably complicated."
"Young One, I believe Shar is right, no one has ever had their Parting off world," Rook spoke as they gathered in the hanger, to see off Shar to the Academy and Wat-Senn and Young One back to Revonnah.
"I loosened it…" Ben muttered.
"Probably not," the siblings all spoke in unison.
"Maybe a little…" Young One offered.
"Nah…I wanted it too much," Ben waved his hand.
"It is a shame that Blonko and I will miss your Bi'nthakoid Ceremony on Revonnah," Shar sighed, "I had hoped to be there for yours."
"Likewise," Rook smiled, "But, mayhaps it is time that our customs evolve with times as well." he walked up to Young One, "By the fruit of Revonnah and the Stones of Heaven, your Childhood has ended." he crouched down to put his hands on his brothers shoulders, "What name do you choose?"
"Henceforth…I will be known as Rook…" he turned to Ben with a smile before presenting his Bi'nthak to him, "...Ben." his siblings blinked at that as Ben 10 was left stunned.
"..." Ben smiled as he reached down to accept the shedded tail, "Well…let me welcome you to the world of adulthood, Rook Ben."
"Indeed," Skurd noted in amusement, "Just don't be like this Ben here."
"Hey…" Ben frowned, yet his eyes showed he was more amused than offended, as Rook Ben hugged Rook and then Shar.
"Welcome, Rook Ben, but do not be surprised if I still call you brat at times," Shar noted.
"Hehe~" Rook Ben smirked at that.
"Well if you're gonna be a Ben, make sure you look out for your home," Ben 10 spoke, "Something tells me, you're gonna help bring some good change back home. Good luck, Ben."
"I will not disappoint you, Ben!" Rook Ben smiled.
"Pretty sure we all know you won't," Ben 10 smiled, "If you ever need a destructive helping hand, you know the Ben to call for help."
"Oh no…" Rook rolled his eyes at that, but smiled nonetheless at his brother's excitement.
"Now…where's Grandpa? He said he'd drop off the keys to his spare Skipper." Ben 10 muttered.
"Grr!" they turned to see Grandpa Max and Wat-Senn in the middle of a contest of strength as they grasped hands and tried to push the other down.
"Grandpa!" Ben held his arms up.
"Be there in a minute, kiddo! Tie Breaker!" Grandpa Max grunted.
"Oh come on, Grandpa…don't go ordering me to help if one of you throws your back out…" Ben groaned.
"Just a minute!" Grandpa Max grunted as they pushed harder, the two elder Plumbers so absorbed into their contest they failed to notice the Groundbridges opening around the hangar.
"Alright we're…WHOA!" Max grunted as the two elders almost knocked him and Kajun over, "What the heck? Magister, what are you doing!?"
"I don't know but it's been the best thing to watch all day!" Kagura cheered from an upper level, many watching with drinks and snacks.
"Oh Grandpa Max, don't throw your back out…" Noel pleaded.
"Go Grandpa Max!" Lambda cheered.
"La-chan!" Noel gawked.
=Give 'em hell, other guy!=
"Steel, don't encourage it!" Noel scolded.
=What? Someone's gotta cheer the underdog on=
"Oh come on, don't cheer for this…" Tsubaki sighed, only to flinch when a blur ran around her and straight for Ben Tennyson.
"Incoming!" Skurd shouted as Makoto tackled Ben 10, sending both tumbling along the ground.
"Ah!" Makoto smiled, nuzzling into her Ben as her tail wagged happily.
"I heard of head-over-heels in love…but this is ridiculous~" Ben 10 laughed as he hugged her close.
"What did we miss?" Kajun asked.
"Meet Rook Ben," Rook motioned to his brother.
"Eh!?" Everyone gawked at the small Revonnahgander's smirking form.
"Say wha…?" Makoto blinked as her Ben showed the tail.
"He…chose the name Ben," he smirked.
"Hah!" Grandpa Max grunted, slamming Wat-Senn to the ground, "Yeah!"
"Yay!" Lambda cheered.
Kundo groaned, finally gaining consciousness. His eyes widened as he found himself in a reinforced metal cell. He looked around, the walls were reinforced as well, even if they looked like wood…they would not be broken any time soon. He gasped, seeing a Techadon robot staring at him from beyond the bars. It glared…before walking off to make runs of other prisoners. Kundo gasped in pain while holding his chest, seeing a horrible bruise spread across him, he just gasped and leaned back as his memories returned. He was bested…by his former student using unknown blasphemous techniques. What was that…how did he do it…how could he do this?! It was as if his world was fully doomed. The poison of the other-worlds had ruined the beauty of his home.
'Do you wish for power? Power to avenge the injustice towards your ways?'
"Who's there?" Kundo asked, looking around in an opening stance.
'Someone who also wants to return the world to simplicity. This horrid melding of the cosmos...let us undo it?'
"You…you are not…" Kundo paused as he recalled his defeat, "...How? …I have become…outdated."
'Join me…and return order to the world. Take it back with me~'
"...Yes…" Kundo replied.
'...then come…we are awaiting you.'
Kundo raised a brow before a portal opened up before him, making him tense in surprise for a moment…before he realized this would lead him to the source of that voice. As he began to walk towards the portal, thoughts began to pour into his head. His former student…no…All of Revonnah will soon return to what they should be, even if it means he'd bargain with a devil…but regardless, whether they want to or not…order will return…and he will make sure no Revonnahgander will leave their homeworld ever again.
SZ: Hoo boy…that…that is not good.
Z0: No…no it was not. But know what is good…CHAPTER 100! Finally attained!
SZ: Yosh! We finally hit 100! And…it has been a long journey to get here folks.
Z0: But it was tons of fun for us. And we swear from here on out, Arcs will get more tight, focused, and move along more. But your gonna have to wait for that cause we did a LOT of GSE stuff and…we need to write other things.
SZ: Oh totally…a lot of other stories we really need to get back to, and we've stored up enough ideas for said stories..and new ones as we wrote these chapters!
Z0: But don't worry folks once we do come back to it, be prepared to move into some heavy plot arcs! Like two…three…Four in a row.
SZ: Eeyup. Still…thanks for joining us for the ride…and like Rook, we've improved a lot since we began this story.
Z0: But again, thanks for sticking with us buddies, we hope to continue probably our…Longest story.
SZ: Yup…anyways folks, read and review…and happy 100!
